Five Star Reviews: | 58% Warms up to 2 ft away November 16, 2016 This is a tiny heater measuring about 4.5"x6". I bought it to keep my hands warm in my office. They call this a personal heater for a reason - it only heats up the immediate surroundings. My office usually runs about 68 degrees. I took temperature measurements as close as 6" away from the heater and as far as 3 feet away. You can barely feel the heat any further than 2 ft from the unit. I gave it 5 stars because it lives up to its name and gets the job done. But if you want to warm up an entire office cubicle you're better off getting something a bit bigger. Perfect a Sulcata Tortoise!!! December 11, 2015 I bought this heater for my Sulcata Tortoise for those inside cold months. It's perfect for him. Frank the Tank loves it!! Worth Every Penny! December 4, 2015 This mini heater is perfect for keeping my desk warm without tripping any breakers. It's super portable, cute, and can fit back in my desk drawer for storage between cold months. My coworker's giant metal heater can't claim that! ππ Small and uses little power as described. I ... October 13, 2015 ππSmall and uses little power as described. I have a small desk and it keeps my area very warm. No louder than a fan of the same size. | 44% There are no reviews yet | 75% There are no reviews yet |
Four Star Reviews: | 18% Great heater to keep your limbs warm November 9, 2017 I purchased this heater to bring to work for my feet. It works really well, but it is VERY small. It is exactly like the description states it is more like direct heat for hands or feet. You will not be heating up any spaces with this item. The only complaint (and very minor) is that it is either on or off. There are no variables on heat level. I am very happy with the purchase and I am using it as intended. it is perfect for my needs September 8, 2017 This heater was a little pricey for the size. I could get a larger one for the same price if I wanted to. However, it is perfect for my needs. I keep it on my desk at work and it keeps me warm without bothering anyone around me. It's not silent, it sounds kind of like a white noise machine, but I can't hear it outside of my cubicle at all, so again, not a problem for the people around me. The casing stays cool to the touch, so the heater can be moved around my desk as-needed. I have it pointing down toward my keyboard to keep my fingers warm while typing right now. It takes up very little room and is really the perfect solution for an office setting. It also takes much less power than other heaters I've looked at, which is great, because we just had an incident in my office where a whole row of cubicles lost power because three different people had space heaters running at the same time, and it shorted out the electricity. Glad my little 200 watt heater won't be cause for concern - my boss isn't exactly a fan of space heaters in the office! Basically a decent hand or foot warmer on a cold day April 21, 2017 Sometimes on a cold day, it's nice to have just a little extra heat at your desk or at your feet while watching TV or reading a book. This heater fits the bill just fine. It draws 200 W, so don't expect a ton of heat from this thing. It will heat about 1 foot away. I wish the fan was a little stronger to extend the warmth out just a little farther. If you want to heat your bathroom in the mornings, this is the wrong heater for the job. Also, don't buy this thing thinking it's somehow more energy efficient - it's not. It draws less power than basically every other space heater and consequently produces less heat. Any "efficiency" simply comes from the fact that you're not using a 1500 W heater to warm a small space. Works Better Then Expected October 12, 2016 works better then expected, I had it running for about 4 hours in my 10' x 8' bedroom and my room temp wen't from 70 to 77F so this DOES work in a good size room as long as you keep the door closed and give time for the heat to generate. Once ya reach a comfortable temp turn it off/on as needed.it uses what looks like a 80MM computer fan to push the heat through the Ceramic Convection, I'm unsure if the fan is replaceable, I will find out when I need to take the unit apart to clean it.200 watts too so saves on energy costThe only con I can see with this heater is no tip over protection which why I gave it 4 stars, it could tip over left or rght since its curved on the bottom but front to back is stable so be sure to keep it on a level surfaceOverall a great heater and will keep me warm enough on those cold nights this coming winter, I highly recommend Takes the edge off. Gets job done August 14, 2016 It's way small, which I may have anticipated had I read the dimensions. It's perfect for lugging back and forth to the office. It doesn't make me hot which is a plus but it also only takes the edge off the cold. Great for under your chair at the office. No heat settings. No fan only mode. Just on and off. It's quiet. It does not shut off if it tips over!! Glad I got it but for the price maybe just a tad larger would be nice. I love this! It's just the perfect size for the ... January 20, 2016 I love this! It's just the perfect size for the office. My office is always freezing it keeps me warm enough that I don't need 3 sweaters to make it through the day. Very glad I purchased it. | 15% There are no reviews yet | 18% There are no reviews yet |
Three Star Reviews: | 10% I was hoping my cubicle would feel nice and toasty and it doesn't May 20, 2017 you'll feel the heat if you're right in front of it. I was hoping my cubicle would feel nice and toasty and it doesn't. i put my hands up to it if i'm really cold. i wouldn't buy it again and i'm too lazy to return it. so it'll due. Can't recommend this product very highly May 5, 2017 I cannot recommend this product very highly because it is a cheap product made to sell cheaply. It is very low power heater which probably heat a closet if that is where you have your office space; but not a walk-in closet, either...more like a small linen closet! And it is not adjustable because it has no thermostatic control and has no tip-over off switch. Made to be only for very small spaces and only for heating your dog's bed space! but you would need to have it sitting pretty close. The heater projects heat up to about ... March 28, 2017 This heater serves its purpose, but you would need to have it sitting pretty close. The heater projects heat up to about 8 inches and only really covers your hands when you choose to bring them close to it. The heater also only projects heat one direction and that's straight in front. Very Low Output March 19, 2017 I bought this for my desk so I could offset the cool air constantly blowing on me, and warm my hands. Well, it "kind of" works. It does blow hot air, but most of the time, it's barely enough to reach me. I put it behind my keyboard, so it's not far. The air flow is usually week. However, once or twice a day, it will double its output. When it does that, it's working as I expected, but most of the time, it's too weak. Maybe I just have a defective unit. Quiet fan means no heat circulation January 20, 2016 After reading several positive reviews I bought this little heater to keep the chill off my feed under my computer desk which is in a cold corner of the house. It keeps the chill off of one side of my feet - placing it only a foot away! It makes heat that radiates upwards rather than toward my feet where I want it. It's very quiet which is a plus but that's about the only positive thing I can say about it.It would be more bother to send it back that it's worth and I may appreciate it more when we get another cold front. All in all though, not one of my better purchases. No tip over cutoff, no filter, great for small area use January 11, 2015 This unit does not cut off if tipped over on any side, including face down. This is a concern even if the thermal cut off does work, there is no filter for the air entering the heater...this could limit the life of the product, or cause excessive thermal cutoffs over time. other than that, the unit looks well made and functions as expected, it gives off a nice amount of heat for a 200watt heater, It is best used close and placed lower so the heat can rise (the fan is not blowing the heat very much, just moving enough air to push the heat out of the unit. It is very quiet, and should give enough heat for use under a desk... I have used it in a 60Β° room, and wasn't cold. since I had the heat rising where I was. The case does not get hot enough to burn you in operation. | 12% There are no reviews yet | 3% There are no reviews yet |
Two Star Reviews: | 6% and it generates a nice heating temperature October 31, 2017 I bought this for my bathroom because I needed something small to fit in there. I realize that the unit is small, and it generates a nice heating temperature, however, for me, it just doesn't warm up the bathroom enough, so ultimately I will either have to purchase something bigger or do without Adorable. Ineffective. July 5, 2017 I ordered this to replace a broken space heater. I need one to warm my small office when the thermostats run too cold in the summer and to keep me toasty all winter. Unfortunately, this adorable product was not up to the task. It cannot heat a small space, like under my desk, after being on for hours. It blows hot air that you feel if you are 2' from the thing. It's my fault for not realizing how tiny the heater was... I returned it for a bigger heater. Because it's July and I am FREEZING. It should be classified as a hand warmer June 17, 2017 I wanted a small heater to put in the bathroom while I bathed my son. I don't like cold bathrooms, so I wanted to make sure he was as comfortable as possible too. This little heater is not powerful at all. It should be marketed as a hand warmer, because that's about all it's good for.The unit is small and portable. But don't expect it to kick out much heat at all. You have to be quite close to feel anything coming out. I know this is a "personal" heater, and not a space heater, but I still expected more. Pretend Heater, Waste of Money! December 19, 2016 This heater is very ineffectual, even right by my feet in a small room with central heating. It's like trying to warm yourself with a candle. I used it last winter and this winter until now when it's worthlessness really came to light after I bought a $15 Pelonis 5,200-BTU forced-air heater (less expensive!), which turns my entire room into a warm and toasty Hawaiian beach! And it has a thermostat that turns it on and off whereas the worthless MyHeat faux-heater has no self-regulatory feature, which is no surprise since it couldn't be expected to heat up a space much larger than a shoebox.Sorry to say, this product is junk. I can't imagine how it has so many good reviews. Two stars since it wasn't broken. This might only use the energy of two light bulbs but it only gives off the heat of one. December 19, 2016 Maybe a SLIGHT exaggeration but if you think this will do anything other than lightly blow hot air on you then look elsewhere. It MIGHT work for your feet if you put a blanket over it and your feet and hope it doesn't burst into flames.I had purchased this to use in my new art studio since it's not heated. I have a large portable heater that works very well but we've been having a streak of 10 degree days so I wanted something that I could use to keep my feet warm while I work at a desk-- well I put it on a shelf about 2" off the ground under the desk and I felt nothing-- so I moved it to the floor and it SLIGHTLY warmed the area under the desk but not so much that my feet weren't still cold.Moving to the desktop about 6" away from me I did get some heat but this is the kind of heater that if it's on your left your right side is going to stay cold and forget your lower half .I can imagine this working for someone who is bed ridden or doesn't move around much, but realistically it's not going to work to warm even the smallest (and I'm even talking closet sized) room. Read the info carefully. It does not warm up space. December 10, 2016 My bad, should have researched more. I fell for the cute size and white color but would have been so much better off to spend $5 more and get the 6 x7 real heater. I wanted it for my very small bathroom and thought it would be enough, as my larger Lasco is way TOO much. But as a couple people have said it barely puts out any real heat, and won't even warm up my tiny bathroom. I will say that if you are within about a foot or so it feels nice, so might be good just to keep your feet warm somewhere. I will give it a little more time but so far disappointed in it and kicking myself for not taking more time to realize what I really needed. | 11% There are no reviews yet | 2% There are no reviews yet |
One Star Reviews: | 8% I got this. It does not work. Get more heat from a 100 watt incandescent light bulb than this toy heater February 12, 2016 !This is a joke, a toy, nothing more. I got this for my mother at Christmas and was turned on every day, but never did anything. You can receive more heat from a 100 watt incandescent light bulb than this 200 watt heater. Since I got it at Christmas and we gave it a good try before realizing how worthless it was so we missed the return window. I want a full refund! You get what you pay for ! December 18, 2015 I used this heater a total of 3x's no longer than 10 minutes at a time. Its in my office and Im in and out thus the reason for the short amount of time I had it turned on. On the 4th time the fan stopped working, I can smell the heater heating up, but the fan does not work so Im unable to feel the heat. I ordered the heat er in Sept. and didnt began using it until Dec. and now I can no longer return it because its past 30 days. Im stuck with a heater that doesnt work and I've only used it a total of 3 times. A waste, pay the extra few $ and get a btter one. Poor November 30, 2015 I bought this little heater a year or so ago to warm under my home desk. My desk is a corner desk that is not very big. This heater does not even begin to heat under it! It barely warms one side of the foot beside it. So, no, I do not recommend it. Really did not like this thing March 19, 2015 Really did not like this thing. Bought it for a tiny office I had in the back of a large building I worked in. My office was maybe 9x9, and I kept the door closed. This tiny little guy just simply did not put out enough heat...at all. The $18 space heater I got from Walmart, although a MUCH noisier actually warmed the room up for in a decent period of time. Maybe in a small enough space this thing is nice, and it is extremely quiet. But would not recommend for what I would consider "normal" applications. Clogs quickly; can't be cleaned without hard-to-find special tools October 29, 2014 This is my second Lasko heater, and it will be my last. The first was an oscillating "tower" style heater. When it seemed to lose heating capacity after only a couple of months' use, I took a close look and discovered that its densely gridded heating element was more than half clogged by dust, lint and cat hair, not only reducing its efficiency by half, but turning it into a fire hazard (some of the lint was scorched).Trying to blow out the clog with compressed air was unsuccessful. And disassembling the heater in order to clean the heating element proved to be a major challenge, because it was held together by special Torx Security screws--star-shaped sockets with a stud in the middle that prevents the use of a standard Torx tool, or any other tool for that matter. I ended up throwing the Lasko tower heater away--it was more trouble than it was worth. Why am I telling you all this? Because this little "personal" heater is exactly the same thing in miniature. It has a smaller version of the same clog-prone heating element, and it's held together by deeply recessed Torx Security screws. Unless you own a Torx Security T10 driver at least three inches long, you won't be able to take this apart for cleaning... so when its heating element clogs in a few months, you'll have to throw it away. Not recommended. Very little heat February 13, 2014 I was not expecting much. I just wanted a small heater to warm my feet under my desk. Unfortunately, this one is not up to the task. I understand it's a small personal space heater, but it needs to be within 6" of my feet to even begin to feel the heat. Due to the small size and lack of output, I can't imagine a use for this heater. Overall, I would not recommend it. If you want to risk it, then a few points of concern -It is small, very small. It is only on & off, no other setting. It has small ridges on the bottom for it's base. This makes it very top heavy and prone to tipping unless it is on a flat surface. It does not shut off if tips over. | 18% There are no reviews yet | 2% There are no reviews yet |

Kaz vs Lasko
Wow... With the Kaz height at 1292.5 inches, width at 324 inches and length of 423.2 inches, the Lasko with 920.5"X 283.1"X 999.2"... Hope they're unassembled, but still, way too big for my house. I'm still thinking about getting one for the barn, if i can find the space to put it.JoeNY
