So far I really like it.
December 29, 2016
So far I'm quite pleased. I've been through several electric heaters in my small 12 foot travel trailer trying to find a best solution. The ceramic heater fans are loud and even the 1500 watt heaters don't really do a good job. They are too directional and don't really seem to hold the temperature consistently in a small space. And the fans are annoying. The oil filled heater I have works great but it's slow to heat and large and bulky and in the way. So I read about these and decided to give it a try. Figured if it works well I can mount it on the front of a cabinet that houses the cooler. It would be in the center of the trailer and not taking up floor space. Trailer was 40 degrees when I turned it on high about 20 minutes ago. It is now over 60 on the thermometer sitting on the counter. It does make a hum. I can definitely hear it when nothing else is turned on. But in reading the questions it appears others hear the hum. Then there are others that say it's dead silent. It's a little annoying. Like the sound of fluorescent lights which I can often hear. But it's tollerable. Far quieter than the fan of a ceramic heater. The heat it throws is wonderful. Nice and warm. Seemed to warm up quick. From what I have read these work with a combination of radiant and convention heat. Seems very warm and even in the space. I tested the draw. It draws 1350 watts on high and 700 watts on low. Right now the trailer is plugged in. Later when it stops snowing here in Massachusetts I'll go out and start the honda 2000 generator and make sure it works. But the honda can make 1600 watts continuous so it should be fine.So far my initial impression is I may have found a good solution to a long term problem. Keeping fingers crossed.

****SECOND UPDATE*** its now freezing out and this heater is still great it's nicer in the coop than it is in my house just ordered my back up!!!****UPDATE****Its been one month and the heater is amazing in my chicken coop they love it and I love it. It very powerful I only have to run it very low.I have bantam chickens and I live in Massachusetts. Two things that do not go well together. My chicken coop is 6x10 and I was using three heat lamps and it's only October.my chickens were still cold at night time. And I was worried about them through the winter. I've been looking for a heater to put into my coop and I wanted to make sure that it would be safe for my chickens. With three heat lamps it was getting to be about 40° in the coop at night time and this is too cold for my chickens. With this heater on low it is about 80° in there. I love this heater I mounted on the wall of the chicken coop and they all sit near it but the coop is more than warm enough and now I have peace of mind. It's plugged into a regular outlet and I ran it on high and it worked fine. This heater is great and I love it. I will be suggesting this heater to anyone that wants to heat their chicken coop including my parents that have much larger chicken coops. I'm sure this would heat at home just fine as well but from what I need it for and for the price that I paid for it, it's an unbelievable deal. I will be ordering at least two more for my home and for a back up for the coop.

One thing that's purr-fectly clear at our house is that our furry companions absolutely love the new addition to their home.We purchased the heater November 2014 as an alternative to using our expensive oil furnace. The DeLonghi HMP1500 Electric Mica Panel Heater works well in any room. Especially with the flexibility to choose between the 750 (MIN) or 1500 watt (MAX) settings. In addition, you can set the lower knob on 1 through 6 to attain your desired room temperature.BE AWARE: When we first used the heater it had an offensive odor due to the paint/metal curing. I plugged it in outside, set the top knob at MAX (1500 watts) and the lower knob on 6 of 6. It took about 90 minutes for our heater to be completely odor free.It took Gator, Misee and the rest of the gang about 15 minutes to discover the tremendous warmth that it generates almost instantly. In fact, now they can't wait for it to be turned-on during the day. I'll notice one or two cats sitting stoically on the rug, they'll look at me and then the area where the DeLonghi heater is placed. That form of communication continues until I put the heater by their rug and turn it on for them (view pictures).Even with the heater turned up to the MAX setting and on high (6 of 6), our companions can lay up against the front of it without turning into a fire ball. However, I never use the highest settings available because it gets much too hot in the room for our comfort level.EXAMPLE 1: When I put the heater in our office (270 sq feet) with the ceiling fan on low, I use the MIN setting and 3 of 6. On average, it increases the room temperature 5 to 7 degrees within 3 to 5 hours (outside temperature at 10F to 15F).EXAMPLE 2: If I use the heater in our bedroom (195 sq feet) with the ceiling fan on low, I use the MIN setting and 1 of 6. It increases the room temperature by 9 degrees in 2 to 3 hours with the outside temperature at 0F to -5F. And no, there is no other heat source besides the DeLonghi heater being used. The intelligence of our furry companions is obvious as they repeatedly lay in front of their DeLonghi Electric Heater during the winter months (we call their rug the tropical island).I gave the DeLonghi HMP1500 Mica Panel Heater a 5-star rating based on our usage experience. It provides a clean, safe and inexpensive secondary heat source vs oil or propane. As an added bonus to those of us with pets in the house, you don't have to worry about them getting burned.PLEASE NOTE: We purchased the DeLonghi HMP1500 Mica Panel Heater at its listed price, we did not receive any discount to post this review.
Some Like it Hot!
January 6, 2016
The panel heater puts out a gentle and quiet heat. I measured the power draw with a digital watt meter reading 930 watts on low and 1735 on the high setting. Using an IR camera I found that on the low setting only the top half of the panel was in use. When switched to high both the top and bottom heat up. The power switch feels good under the hand with positive clicks for off, low, and high. There is a thermostat which will cycle the heat on and off as needed. In my 75 degree room the panel came on at about the 1.5 setting on a scale of 6.The legs and wheels have to be connected to the bottom with some screw-on thumb screws which are provided. For the first ten to twenty minutes there was a slight odor from the unit as it burned off the factory coating. Four hours later and I can detect no further odor. Using a laser thermometer I measure 270 to 350 degrees across the front of the panel though the safety grating. I tipped the panel to confirm that the tip-over safety switch did function as expected. This is a big well built unit and seems like it's going to last for me. I'm using it under a desk to warm my legs and from a couple of feet away the heat is nice and gentle.
Stylish heating

People don't ever know what this is until I explain it is a heater. I love it. I suffered decades of noisy little blow heaters... This beauty soundlessly kicks out the heat when I don't want to heat the whole house. Also, my dogs adore it!
A Great Advancement in Radiating Heat
December 11, 2011
Intro...Upon researching various types of heaters for the past week, I came to the conclusion that this heater would be a good pick for a bedroom. I ended up purchasing a Lasko heater for the living room and this DeLonghi Mica Panel Heater for the bedroom. The reason I chose this brand over other mica panels is due to my experience with their products in the past. I've owned a DeLonghi Magnifica Espresso machine, which has worked flawlessly for over 4 years along with a DeLonghi Radiator Heater which has worked just as great. If you dont know much about DeLonghi, they are a European-based company that makes quality appliances, specifically utilizing German-engineering.Overall Thoughts...Upon testing out this new technology heater, I noticed that it had all of the great features that a radiator heater had. To add to the conventional radiator heater, it also features instant-on heat while maintaining a low-profile size. Due to the thin profile, this heater can be wall-mounted like a picture frame. However, I'd recommend keeping the heater as low as possible since heat tends to rise, pushing the cold air down. Another great feature about this heater is the quietness during use. Because there are no fans or moving parts, there are no constant noises. A conventional radiator heater makes a considerable amount of noise from the oil dripping inside. So how is the heat output from this new Mica Thermic technology? To put it short, it provides an ample amount of heat similar to an oil radiator heater, but has the advantage of instant heat. This gives you instant warmth when you stand in front of the heater immediately after you turn it on. This is something that you cannot obtain with a conventional radiator heater.Final Thoughts...Overall, I'm very surprised at this new technology for heating. It provides all of the great radiation type heat which maintains the temperature of the room quite well, without having to wait. Also, the low profile gives many options on where to put the heater. Lastly, the device is VERY safe. The cage around the heater provides 100% security from being burned, and the front panel can be touched comfortably without ever being burned. However, upon checking the temperature of heat output with an IR thermometer, it provided 300-400 degrees F of heat. Its quite surprising to see those types of numbers, as you can touch the front panel stays considerably cooler than the heat output. The heater also has an auto-off feature if it tips over. A great heater for an enclosed room, however, be sure that the room is around 150 sq. feet or less. Any larger, and this heater will not provide an ample amount of heat. For larger spaces, take a look at the Lasco Space Heater.

They work great except when they break: get the warranty
October 14, 2017
I have three of them that get a regular workout, one in my office, another in my bedroom, another in the kid's room. I picked up the warranties for them because I heard they had sketchy performance. Sure enough after a winter's use and headed into the second winter one of them started acting poorly. On "Low" it wouldn't do anything, and now on "High" it barely puts out any heat at all. No biggie, just exercise the warranty and call it good. But it's worth pointing out that 1/3 of mine failed within a year's time. When they work they're phenomenal. Quiet and not drying out the room being my favorite aspects. Wall mounted they work great too. I dropped the bucks for the outlet thermostats as well and those have been terrific. Rooms warm up when they're supposed to, never get to hot, and turn off without me needing to do anything.
Nice room heater, but only 1350 watts
October 1, 2017
We got two of these to replace oil-filled electric heaters which had leaked oil onto our carpet. They're reasonably priced, and so far they've worked well. Arrived well packaged and on time. No problem with odors reported by other users if you follow the recommended two-hour warm-up procedure.Pros:--Quick warm-up. Begins providing heat within a few seconds.--Cozy, radiant heating. You can "aim" them to direct heat onto your favorite chair.--Lightweight and easy to move from room to room.--Better looking and easier to clean than oil-filled heaters.--Very easy to assemble. They provide thumbscrews for the "roller" feet, so you don't even need a screwdriver.Cons:--Not 1500 watts as advertised, only 1355 watts max when tested with a meter, 10% below rating. (This cost them 1 star for incorrect rating.)--Very quiet, but not quite silent. They make a slight buzz similar to a fluorescent light, noticeable only in a very quiet room (like a bedroom).--Thermostat mounted directly on heater can't really regulate room temperature. (This is a problem with many small heaters.)--I'd be cautious about wall mounting. Back not hot enough to ignite anything, but it might warp wallboard or paneling over time.
If I didn't have these problems, it'd be great...
January 23, 2017
UPDATE: Third time is a charm. If the issues below did not happen, I would give this unit 5 stars. It puts out great heat for my basement office, and it's absolutely silent. Would it heat up the room faster with a fan? Sure... but I don't want to hear it. The heat it puts out is impressive, even on it's 'Min' setting (half the wattage, uses only top half of the panel). It's bigger than I expected, but it's shape makes it easy to move out of the way or store in a closet until needed again. It's built well, the wheels attach easily to the bottom, or don't if you want to hang it on a wall (all necessary hardware included). It's hard to recommend given the issues I had noted below. That said, maybe it's worth the risk. I'm very happy with my now working unit.----PREVIOUSLY:The first unit I received worked very well, but came with a large dent in the metal mesh that protects the heating element. I realized as I was packing it up for return that there was a large tear in the box where the dent occurred, and someone had the audacity to tape up the tear and ship it anyway.I received a new unit, which after running on it's highest setting for 20 minutes will trigger an alarm buzzer that will not turn off until the heating level is turned down.Assuming these problems were not present, it would make a great heater for my basement office. It does work well. Right now, I can't recommend it due to the aforementioned reasons. I'm chalking it up to bad luck, and I will update this review when I get a third unit.
Works very well for its intended function as a supplemental heating source
January 5, 2017
I have owned two other DeLonghi products in the past. When reading reviews of such products there were always what seemed to be a higher number of dissatisfied customers than what I would feel comfortable with - most failures seemed to be with mechanical components. Regardless, I took the plunge twice and ended up with two very good products that lasted many years. So I happily took the plunge and bought this panel heater, expecting similar positive results, plus no mechanical components to wear out from movement. So far, after about six weeks, it has lived up to my expectations. As to the main purpose of the unit, heating a room as a supplemental source of heat to aid an existing HVAC system, it excels. In a smaller room (10x10 to 12x12') getting to a comfortable 72 to 74 F from around 66 takes only a short while (about 30 minutes). Even a larger, two story room that's 20 x 24 with a 30' ceiling warmed up nicely after less than one hour going from 66 to 70 F about 10 feet away. That to me was impressive given the height of the room and the fact that this room is in a mostly open floor plan. You do have to put the unit in the high setting (1500 Watts, I believe) and set the temperature knob to it's highest (a 6 out of an infinite increment scale from 1 to 6) to achieve such results. However, once your reach the desired heat level for the room you can lower the temperature knob to where it clicks (indicating to the unit that's the temperature you wish to maintain, essentially setting it's thermostat). The unit was able to maintain the room temperature consistently. I would not use the unit in a room as a primary source of heating, even if the room were smaller, and I don't believe it's marketed with that intention. The unit is sleek, though the casters do protrude front and back and could be an issue for someone walking too closely to it. Since it has no fan (a good thing for me), it operates silently and thus you may forget it's on, or trip over such casters. Just make sure as the manufacturer recommends to keep at least several feet around the unit clear of obstruction for proper and safe operation. The unit can be wall mounted, but as other reviewers noted, the back does get too hot to the touch, so wall mounting to me would be suspect from a safety standpoint. Indeed, the entire unit gets too hot to the touch, with the exception of the control knobs, so don't go grabbing any part of it while it's on except for those knobs to turn it off, which can get tricky given no other support points to put your hand on that aren't hot. Also, the control knobs are strong but their attachment to the unit feels somewhat flimsy, with the expectation that perhaps at some point they will turn but fail to engage. No such issues yet. Aesthetically to me it is pleasing overall and does not intrude into the overall room decor. In summary, price and functionality overall makes this a product I would purchase again.
Not perfect, but pretty good
November 15, 2016
Does what it says: heats a small room via convection. Two minor gripes:1) It makes noise. Even though there are no moving parts, the unit has a quiet buzzing when it kicks in. Perhaps not ideal for a bedroom if you're a light sleeper. It's still 100 times quieter than a fan heater, it's just not silent.2) The range at which the thermostat clicks on and off is quite wide - probably over 10 degrees. For example, if you are trying to keep a space at 65, and you set it to come on at around that temp, your space will be heated to 75 before it clicks off and waits for the temp to drop to 65 again. I guess the upside is that it's not constantly clicking on and off.I do love the design - I have it free standing and up against a wall.
Great wall-mounted for areas with limited floor space
October 26, 2016
I gifted this to our daughter as it turned out to be way bigger than I thought it would be - obviously my fault! I really like that it can be wall mounted. With two big clumsy dogs, our girl has had trouble with all of her other space heaters. This one is much better for her and she really likes the even heat it produces next to her desk chair. On the wall it looks like a little TV - even if mounted in a really weird place. This is a great option for special applications where you have limited floor space. It would have been great in our guest bathroom, if it was smaller.

Nice but kept overheating.
December 12, 2016
I like this heater but am not keeping it. It heated nicely but I returned mine because it kept overheating and setting off it's annoying alarm. It's big, silent, and puts out a good amount of heat. Close up, the heat emanating was wide, gentle, but at a short distance and weaker than I like. However, the radiance is nice enough, even heating the floor in front of it, which becomes a nice place for cold feet. I also liked that you can carry it with one hand to move between rooms. Seems like 80% of the convective heat emanates from the top, warming the air. And 20% radiated from the front of the panel warming whatever is in front of it.The problem I had with this heater is when I turned it on max and set it to a "3" setting (out of 1(low) to 6(high)), after several minutes a loud, jarring, and annoying alarm would sound, signaling an overheat. It's continuous; you can't turn off the alarm unless you turn it off/turn the setting to off, and let it cool. If you turn it back on right away, the alarm still goes on. I don't understand why this device would let us set the heat beyond a level it does not accept. I also think the alarm aspect is unnecessary, just turn the power off, DeLonghi. As much as I liked the silent heat that it put out, under these conditions, I did not want to keep this product.
Should be stronger for the price and size
September 24, 2016
Works as promised to warm a fairly large room, looks slick and is easy to roll around (we haven't tried to mount it anywhere). We haven't been able to tell exactly how energy efficient it is yet based on other shifting factors on our electric bill, but we can tell it doesn't make a huge impact. This heater has a nice range of heating controls, but unless you're using it in a small room, you'll be keeping it on high all the time, which is why I voted 3 stars: my $20 fan-powered heater works just as well for so much less $$$! The fan makes a heater louder, but not by enough to bother me for the price difference. Flat-panel heaters look great and are pretty darn quiet, but I'm not sure they're worth the dough yet if you're just looking for a good, strong heater.
Like heater but short lifespan
April 1, 2016
Had one of these for 7 years before it died. No fan, quiet, heats well and on the low setting was economical. Liked it well enough to buy another even though 1st one should have lasted longer. The new one worked for about an hour and died. Amazon got a replacement to me in 2 days and that one is still working........more later.
Not the radiant heat I expected.
January 11, 2016
I did not know what I needed. I am supplement heating a 60X10X8 insulated building with a wood burner as a primary heat source used as a kennel. The wood burner throws 400 degree average and heat is pushed down the building with a fan. 2 Runs are closed off at the far end, and tarp for divider is up sealing off approx 18 feet of the total 60 feet length. So only 5 dog doors in use. Lots of heat loss due to dog doors. I'm in Michigan and once the Arctic blast hit of the 1500 KW electric heaters I find:Hands down comfort zone does the best job heating or the most heat continuously fan forced when it might need to be a sole heat source in mornings when wood burner is down to only putting out 100-200 degrees. The rest were not able to keep it as warm.I also have a 220 A/C Heater that comes in second, but costs half again as much to run, and it was warmer, but not warm. The oil radiator style is next, then the delonghi panel heater, then a small forced fan with heater elements I got at the farm store. The de!onghi has a high surface area heat is eminated from so its great as a room heater, and quicker heat than a forced fan with heater elements or the oil filled radiator style. It's all about what your trying to heat and getting the most heat out of heaters no matter the style that all draw 1500W
outrageeously expensive to run
April 9, 2015
Nice quiet heat, no fan blowing. BUT buyer beware, very expensive to run!My normal ***** electric bill averages $60 for 348 kwh in 30 days, Dec22-Jan21 *****I put this heater in my bedroom on January 25th. My new electric bill for Jan21-Mar20 (58 days) is 292.23 for 1,497 kwh. If 700 of that 1497 is normal electric consumption for 60 days or $140 then the reamaining 797 kwh $152 is for the heater.>>> IT COST ME $152 RUNNING JUST THIS HEATER FOR 60 DAYS <<<<My summertime 8 year old air conditioner that cools my entire apartment does not use nearly this much energy! No matter how I look at the numbers this heater doubled my electric bill!!
Quite and efficient, but thermostat too sensitive
March 31, 2013
Bought this to put in my room, which my wife and I and my infant child sleeps at, because it's quite. It is indeed quiet, barely notice it's there except the thermostat relay's clicking sound when switching between on/pff. The biggest problem is that it has a hair triggering thermostate. The room is about 13ft x 13ft x 7ft, and I like the room to be about between 73F~80F. I have follow the instructions, to heat the room till the desired temp and start dial down the thermostat till it clicks, and somehow this temp is right below the 1 mark on the thermostat dial. It's weird that I feel pretty hot but the thermostat tells me it's below 1. Then I let the room cool to see when will the thermostat turn back on, which I feel it's about 65F when it detected needs to turn on the heater, which is too cold for me. I tried to dial up the thermostat to around 1, but it just never turns off all night and gets really hot (maybe 80F) in the morning. I don't know if it's just my unit has this problem or what, but I now pretty much let it run and just turn it off in the middle of the night when I get too hot and wake up. Otherwise, it's a really nice product.

Funny no one mentions this
May 25, 2017
Solid heating unit but it has two major flaws that no one mentions. Bought this to save on my monthly winter electricity bill. Heating only the room we are occupying.#1) There is no forced air so it takes much longer to heat an area.#2) This unit TRIPLED my monthly electricity so I had to literally stop using it. Funny no one mentions this, think that would be important since we live in a time where efficiency is expected.
Doesn't put off much heat.
March 30, 2017
I've used this all winter long before writing my review. Pros: sleek, easy to attach feet, slim, easily portable from room to room. Cons: doesn't put off nearly as much heat as other ceramic panel heaters I've used, and the dial has never been able to turn all the way around to the thermostat setting. The dial just stops at high and low and I don't want to force it, afraid it'll break. It's about as effective as a small space heater. Which doesn't make a whole lot of sense because it's much bigger but...I kept this because I was desperate to heat the rooms and didn't want to go through the process of returning the big box. But I wouldn't buy this again. Not worth the $$.
Shrieking Sound after working for a week or two. Bummer
December 19, 2016
We have an attached family room which we want to be warmer temperature than the whole house thus a space unit was needed. We had an oil radiator that worked for years, but I decided to find another type that is easily maneuvered and nice to the touch (not burn myself). I researched and was convinced by the reviews and so I ordered. I was delighted by the look, weight, and heat. I was even thinking of buying one for my sister and recommending it to others. We used it for a week and going into the second week without turning it off since it had an auto shutoff for our desired setting of Min / 6. Then it suddenly send out a shrieking sound. I thought it was an alarm and so I read the manual for any indication or warning instructions. The manual does not mention any "emitting sound". I looked for blogs or comments about the product. I did an "Online Inquiry" on Delonghi.com. And tomorrow I will call customer service to find out if I have missed a setting. After being cold and impatient, i read some of the bad reviews and found two reviews that mentioned loud sound and I have decided that I will be returning product. I hope that return period is still valid. I wanted to give this product a good review, but why did it have to break/ shriek!
Beaware
December 14, 2016
Excited i received my heater today but disappointed it kept making a buzzing noise after 10 minutes. I plug on and off three times until i got frustrated. I waited for it to cool and then turn on the heater at a different setting. I read all the good and bad reviews out their and made the decision to buy it and take a chance. The first 5 minutes you can feel a nice and warm heat emitting they after 5 minutes later a buzzard sound will not stop only until you turn off the machine.
cord and plug get hot...
November 28, 2016
It seems kind of big and clunky and old fashioned, but it's warm and completely silent. Takes a while to warm my office which is about 20 x 20 but again, it's SILENT. I love that.It comes with the usual ridiculous number of pages of safety warnings. Included there is the requirement that it not be left unattended, plugged in. Of course, it's likely that unplugging means moving it, climbing under things, etc., I have noticed that when I do unplug it after it's been on long enough to heat the room (15 x 15?, not well insulated, outdoor temps 40-50F), the plug is hot. REALLY hot. And so is some of the cord. This seems hazardous. It is only a two prong plug, (ungrounded) and the cord is not especially heavy duty, so I wonder if those safety warnings need to be taken more seriously than we usually do. I don't think I would buy this again because of that.
not sure on this heater

just after a few mins of it working...i guess an alarm goes off...it makes a loud buzzing noise....i had to turn it either really low..or off...no idea why the alarm would go off...if thats what it was...havent tryed it again, but i will..does heat up nicely

Dead On Arrival!
July 15, 2017
Unfortunately, I did not need to use this heater until more than 30 days after I bought it. Once turned on, after a few minutes it made a horrible loud noise similar to a smoke alarm. I immediately unplugged it. Tried again a few days later with the same results. Since I can't return it for a refund, I now have a $100 door stop and am very annoyed. I do not recommend this unit. Keep looking for something else😠.
Didn't last half a year
March 1, 2017
Didn't last half a year. Received it in April of 2016 and didn't start using it until winter. It worked fine up until about two months ago. It would no longer keep the room above 60 degrees. The bottom half of the heating element quit working. It supposedly has a 1 year warranty, but it's not worth the hassle. I would recommend you stay away from this one.

January 24, 2017
The heater worked great for a couple of months, and then it started emitting a very strong buzzing noise. The noise disappeared when the heater cooled down, and appeared again soon after it was turned on again.I replaced the unit - but the replacement started making exactly the same noise on the very first day.
Where's the heat?
January 7, 2017
I read the reviews before purchasing but perhaps not carefully enough. Not only did this heater produce very little in the way of heat, it "beeped" after running for only a short time on Max ... meaning that it needed to be turned down because it pulled too much electric. I read all the instructions and warnings and plugged it into a proper wall outlet (which had been upgraded to heavy wiring). Perhaps the unit I received was a one-off and didn't operate correctly, but it honestly would not heat a closet, let alone a room. I've only had to return one other item in my history with Amazon (dvds that didn't contain any discs) but I'm grateful that they make it so easy. I'll try again in a bit as I do need heat in this room which only contains a wood stove. If you purchased this and are happy with it, that's great, but my experience was not the same.
Overheated after a few minutes.
November 14, 2016
I just purchased one of these heaters and after 10-15 minutes the thing started making a loud noise. Apparently it is some kind of overheating alarm. Very disappointed. I was very careful unpacking and assembling the unit, then switched it onto Low setting for about 10 minutes. I then increased it to High setting and after a few minutes this very loud screeching buzzer sounded... I almost jumped out of my skin!. I also noticed the heater seemed physically twisted - not a flat panel but evidently warped in some way. Also the actual heating panel in the unit seemed to be slightly bent. The attached photo at first sight may seem OK, however on closer inspection you will notice that it appears slightly twisted and also the heating plate inside is slightly bowed to the back in the center. Not sure if this is the cause of the issue, but I think I will be going for an oil filled one next time.
Stopped working after three weeks in.
November 6, 2016
Worked great... while it worked. About three weeks in and stopped working - the power light would be on, indicating power is going to the unit, but it would not heat up, regardless of heat setting. The unit had never been unplugged or moved, just stopped heating when I noticed the other night a considerable temperature difference compared to other nights. While it worked, it was very quiet, only a slight noticeable hum when being up close. I'd have kept it and possibly gotten another unit, if it'd have lasted.I kept the box it came in, so returning it will be a breeze. Not sure yet what I'll replace it with though.
