Five Star Reviews:
Very effective for bedroom
May 6, 2017
This medium sized heater had the big job of replacing a large heater that broke. I really do like that it oscillates and that there is a timer function. Although it does take a little time for the heater to heat the entire room, once it gets going the temperature is very nice. I would buy again.
Wonderful. Love it for myself
March 29, 2017
Wonderful. Love it for myself. It is great for smaller places or more contained rooms....such as a small bathroom, or if u are sitting into some sort of corner doing some work or else. The radius of its heat is not really really wide...but it does generate a good amount of heat . There are a few great features that I like: temperatures control, sensor automatic shut off after a certain amount of time running. Also, it does spin right and left, left to right...which is a super cool feature. But you can stop the motion, if u prefer it. The cord has a tendency to slightly over heat, but never had a problem.
Great little heater. Im thinking of getting another one for another corner. :)

After reading all the reviews on all the similar products I bought this one. I'm glad I did as long as it doesn't quickly die on me. So far so good. My December gas bill was triple what it normally is during the winter so I thought I would try a space heater for the bedroom and cut down on using my furnace. I love this little heater. It has everything and puts out quite a bit of heat. It isn't hot to touch so I'm not worried about the dogs or the cat getting too close to it. Inexpensive so I may buy another for another room. Great experience so far!
Great, actually HEATS up a space.
December 4, 2014
yay! Finally, a space heater that HEATS. This is completely worth the money. I love the two heat settings. I really wish that there was a timer option for less than 1 hour. A 15 minute or 30 minute options would make this perfect. But it's still worthy of 5 stars.
This is in our bathroom, which tends to get colder since there is only a small floorboard in there. We can heat the room when we use it, and turn it off when we walk out.
** be ready for the BEEP on the buttons, when you press to change options, it is VERY LOUD. I can't find a way to fix this.
December 1, 2013
this is the best heater i have ever owned. i use them in rooms we 'live' in and keep my furnace set at a low temperature. this is the 3rd one i have bought and they're all still working, even 3 years out.
Does the job well
March 14, 2017
It's a little chilly coming out of the shower on a winter morning and this remedies that. The size is great, fitting nicely between the two sinks on the vanity. It looks good, too, and the handle makes moving it easy. Heats up very fast. I plug it in and immediately it generates heat. The various settings make it versatile and the optional oscillating setting works well directing the heat around the room. I set it on high and oscillating and by the time I step out of the shower, the room is a nice, toasty warm. It's size and portability make it perfect for using it in other areas of the house if needed. It's a nice backup in the event the furnace malfunctions. This will provide warmth and comfort in a room until the furnace is repaired.
GREAT Little Heater!!!!
January 5, 2017
This little heater is AMAZING. My office at work is SO cold. I had to replace the heater I was using, which did practically nothing. With this heater, on the low setting and lower heat (I used to have to use Highest setting and highest heat) it warms my office up in no time.
My office is not big, but with the oscillation feature, and higher heat settings, I'm sure it would easily warm a big office or small room.
Great little heater

Great little heater. My dog loves it too as now he sleeps in front of it. I use it in a 12 x 12 room and heats up great!

So far a great gift! Towards the end of January was my wife's birthday and I was looking to get her a small portable heater that she could easily transport from one room to the next based on her needs. Larger heaters can be quite bulky and do not make for easy transport. Though larger heaters do put out more heat. However, buying a ceramic heater is on the lower end of heaters available for purchase. There are kerosene heaters and propane heaters that make for heating rooms, garages, etc., almost instantly. However, they are not very practical.
This is actually the second Oscillating ceramic fan I have purchase for her birthday. The first was VanHaus version. They are almost identical in the pictures but the Lasko is slightly more. The VanHaus broke on us in a matter of days and if you are interested you can see my critique of it if you are trying to pinch a few pennies. However, I highly recommend the Lasko version.
This review is based on the superiority of the Lasko fan vs. the VanHaus version. First, the Lasko came in packaging that did not allow for the fan to break when it is being shipped. I removed the Lasko heater from the box and noticed immediately that I had purchased a better product. It's handle was more firm indicating great craftsmanship. The knobs are clearly marked. The thermostat was clearly marked with white circles. The larger the white circle the hotter the thermostat setting. The VanHaus does not have a clearly marked thermostat. One difference I did notice that puts the VanHaus before the Lasko heater is the Oscillation. The Lasko does not oscillate as wide as the VanHaus. However, after further contemplating this oscillation degree less just might be best. It allows for more of a central focus on an individual vs. heating a small room. A personal heater is exactly what my wife wanted; she did not want a room heater. If someone wants a room heater they should try the larger and more bulky heaters that are left in a room or secured permanently.
So far, the Lasko heater is far superior in quality, durability, and craftsmanship. This heater is highly recommended for those looking for a personal heater that is light, durable, and easy to transport.
Compact Warm Quiet Heater that Rotates
September 11, 2015
I like ceramic heaters. They provide good heat and they last longer than one winter season. My experience with ceramic heaters is that I had one before -it was a very powerful heater and it was quiet. I had it for 3 years running each fall and winter without any problems until sadly, it died when someone accidentally KICKED it across the room. :(
No heater is supposed to be a match for being treated like a kickball. I have had it take falls before and it kept working, but after being kicked across the room, the heater understandably gave up the ghost.
Last year I had a coil heater- glows orange and has a fan ...It heated nicely, and it still works, but it did not rotate and it was noisy at times. When those coils would rattle, nothing broken just normal operation- it would annoy me.
My new Lasko 5409 is a lovely little heater that rotates, heats, thermostat knob (not with number but dots), high, low and fan options. And it is quiet.
Red light in center indicates power and standby when plugged in.
No light is emitted from the coils or ceramic, just the power light.
This is a small but powerful unit - great for bedside/night table or under the desk at the office.
No tip over shut off, but it has the overheat shut off safety feature (if it were to fall over or have material/object preventing air flow).
It plugs into a regular electrical socket.
It is VERY quiet.
You may notice it has a new/manufacturing strange smell right out of the box so I recommend letting it run at full blast high for an hour to burn off the "new" smell. That “new” smell goes away and there are no strange odors after that.
I am very happy with my purchase.
Great little heater!

This is a great little heater. The small apartment that I live in gets quite cold at times. I run this in my central area and it really gets the whole space quite nicely. It really spits out a lot of heat.My biggest worry was that I needed a heater that was bird safe (no teflon type products in the heater). I couldn't get a sure answer from the manufacturer. They really couldn't say yes or no.. so I didn't some research. Came across several sites that said ceramic heaters (Lasko specifically) were found to be bird safe. So I gave it a try and have had no issues running this heater around my bird. I don't run it in the same room, but it's in the adjacent room only about 15 feet away. So as of now the heater I purchased seems to be bird safe. I cannot say with certainty as I did not manufacturer it. But based on my experience all is good.So I would recommend this heater for multiple reasons. It does the job, and fast. And since it appears to be bird safe, I would much rather use something that does NOT emit toxic fumes. And since birds are extremely sensitive to them, I'd say this one heats safely. Highly recommend.
Address your heating concern with this and the 3M window insulation... and you're set free from choosing for household.
March 8, 2017
It's a month after using this in my bedroom where I also have my office. It warms the full room within 10 minutes. I'm glad for its power because I can turn it off or rely on a timer or rely on it to automatically shut down to save power. I looked at dozens of heaters on Amazon and landed on this one with not as much faith after reading so many negative reviews placed upon every heater on this sight. There was even a review or two about it having a burning plastic smell for those sensitive to smell. I didn't get that AT ALL and I thought this would possibly affect me, but dude it's cold as $*#& at my house in the winter and I needed a backup because regular old oil doesn't even do a good a job as this does at least in my house during the night. It oscillates gently and I dig the design. The remote is also surprisingly convenient and well done as well.I'm just glad I bit the bullet and found this one rather than settling for a really cheap one with lesser review strength OR a more expensive one and possibly deal with a real issue involving that I return it.Check it, it's still only a month in and I'm thankful that this item held me strong for the last 30 days and kept me from shivering.ALSO I highly recommend a more inexpensive option to trap the heat in your house in the winter and buy the 3M Window Insulator plastic here. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00002NCJI/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_27These two combined will make sure you don't freeze altogether when you can't rely on the insulation in the walls to hold out the cold, those windows leak the heat. Combined, this was the best solution for my moderate sized bedroom/office in the second floor of my family house.
... rec room in the basement and this one is perfect! It's easy to assemble
May 28, 2016
We were looking for a heater for our rec room in the basement and this one is perfect! It's easy to assemble, it heats the room quickly and the convenient remote is a great addition. We close off the room so the heat stays in that portion and doesn't have to also heat the laundry room as well. Most reviews say it takes the chill off, which what was happening when the space was larger, but now that we essentially made the room a little smaller it definitely becomes comfortably warm. If you're searching for a space heater, you won't be disappointed with this one!
Lasko 5397 heater
March 2, 2016
Works great. A little shorter in height than expected, I was replacing another lasko unit I had that magically disappeared but it works great and the remote feature is great
November 20, 2015
Works great. Especially like that it has the remote control. I had NO trouble putting this together. Actually we bought two because our central unit went out and we can't replace it until we can afford to ($6000), We've already been using these and they keep our place toasty. We live in a 28' X 42' mobile home. They do such a great job that sometimes I have to turn them down during the night, but that's my fault for not setting the correct temperature before going to bed. Once we get into real winter, if anything changes I'll update this review. So far we love them and highly recommend this heater.

November 14, 2014
I've purchased Lasko brand ceramic heaters before and I love them. They warm a room extremely fast and they do not produce much noise. I purchased this Lasko heater due to the rooms in the extension of my house being chilly during the winter. This was the perfect purchase. The thermostat on the Lasko ceramic heaters are a little inaccurate, but it's nothing that would take away a star from this product. The remote it comes with also adds value to this product.

Everyone should have one for electric heaters!
February 16, 2017
As an ex-firefighter, I can attest to how often electric space heaters cause house fires. That very experience occurred to me last week when in the middle of the night I jumped out of bed in full on alarm mode. I smelled burning plastic.Turns out, the girlfriend had tossed her shirt across the room and it landed on top of our electric fan heater. Later in the night, when the heater cycled on it restricted the air flow from the heater which caused the heater to overheat. (not to mention the smell of ironed clothes) When I woke up with alarm bells in my head, the first thing I checked was the heater and when I saw the shirt I thought "ok, thats all it is".. but clothes don't normally smell like burning plastic, so I kept looking around and sure enough, the wall outlet the heater was plugged into was in full on meltdown. This was a bit sobering - we're used to putting out fires started by electric heaters and you never expect it to happen to yourself.I ordered three of these units that same day. After repairing the outlet, I just plugged this in over it. It looks great - the green light is kind of reassuring but for the bedroom, I wish it was dimmer.Regardless I'm happy to know if I'm not home and my girlfriend decides to play peek-a-boo with the heater again, this unit will kill the power before it melts down the house. Also, she now has a fire extinguisher on her side of the bed.
Well made and functional
February 5, 2017
Seems well made and does not overheat too much
It is plugged in and is working.
January 26, 2017
Using it right now. Nice! Thanks!
Excellent! Remote and timer to auto shut off
October 15, 2017
The remote is great, and it has a timer so you can set it to shut off like after you fall asleep.

Great heater. Warms up my office really well.
It works wonderfully to keep the room warmer
August 26, 2017
We use this in our living room so we don't have to heat the whole house. It works wonderfully to keep the room warmer. It's not gigantic, so it's not going to heat a really big space, but it is great for a small to medium room.
May 7, 2017
I got it for my father who is always cold! Th heater he had was old big and a fire hazard! He likes it.
Heat up really fast
April 24, 2017
Got it for my dadHe love it, heat up really fast
Wonderful Heater. Read the instructions.
January 7, 2013
This heater works perfectly. Some of the other reviews on here mention specific negatives, and I suggest that those people read the fine manual. For example:Comment: "The Thermometer is inaccurate by a few degrees in most."Correct. If you read the instruction manual, it states that the heater will heat two degrees above the thermostat setting, then switching off. It will switch on again when the temperature falls one degree below the thermostat setting. This is actually how most thermostats work.Comment: "The power cable is thinner than what other leading safe room heaters have."I am not sure what this means. A power cable's gauge (thickness) will be proportional to the current (amperage) by which it is engineered to draw. The thickness of the copper wiring does not correspond to safety, and would only become a safety issue if the thickness of the wire were not rated for the current of which the appliance draws. I would hope to assume that the engineers at Lasko are well aware of the very established standards for wire gauge versus current drawn, and without wasting my time analyzing the gauge of wire and the appliance's current, I'm going to assume that it's more than adequate.Comment: "this tower fan will not heat a large room effectively."Correct. The appliance is rated for medium sized rooms, as stated on the packaging.Comment (paraphrased): "The thermostat (auto-temperature) only works on high."This is incorrect. Please read the manual. Switching from high to low is also the mechanism by which you disengage the thermostat. If you switch from high to low, or from low to high, then you simply need to push the (+) or (-) thermostat buttons to re-engage the thermostat. The thermostat functions on both high and low. Conclusion:This heating appliances works great, and it functions in accordance with the manual. A recommended purchase.
Four Star Reviews:
Is the loud beep really necessary?
March 21, 2017
Works great, love the small base area and design. The control buttons look great, I just hate the piercing sound they make, in my smallish bathroom it's hard to take first thing in the morning.
March 12, 2017
Gives off some major heat but sometimes knocks out the breakers.
5 for amazon shipping, 4 for the heater.
February 13, 2017
amazon shipping 5 stars. Product 4 stars , because the temp control is in 5 degree increments, starting with 65 degrees F. In this day and age, of soaring heating costs, we need it to start at 60 deg and go by smaller increments. My goal was to keep my daughter's room at 67 and with this set at 65 it stayed at 66 so I'm a happy dad. I returned the first two heaters of different brands because their tipover switches were disabling the on/off switch intermittently...all of these are made as cheap as possible in china and they show it. The lasko has worked great right out of the box.
it's okay heater
March 24, 2016
The size is not too small but not too big, It does make fan noises and beep sound when you click on the input at the top of the heater, it is fairly simple to use, it will automatically stop when it gets to the temperature you set it up too, at night it can get little bit loud, but it heats up the room fairly quickly,
Thermostat will not work on low power setting
November 30, 2015
This is a very nice heater that I am using to heat a large upstairs bathroom that tends to feel drafty. It is tall and the controls are on top so you don't have to bend over to operate it. It has large, real buttons on top, not blister buttons. There are also large LEDS to indicate power, thermostat and time settings. The fan is quiet and unobtrusive. There is a bright red light on the front, but it does not indicate power on, it is on all the time, I guess to tell you the unit is plugged in. You can set the heater to shut off automatically in 1 to 7 hours in one hour increments. You can also set the temperature to 65 to 85 degrees in 5 degree increments. The only thing I don't like about this heater is that when you put it in thermostat mode, it will only work on high power setting. Presumably this is because heat will shut off anyway when it reaches the set temperature. The trouble is, this unit draws 12.5 Amps on the high power setting. If you happen to be on a 15 Amp circuit and have your room lights on, it doesn't allow for much else, or your circuit breaker will trip. Usually this problem can be mitigated by selecting a lower heat setting, but not on this unit, if you want to use the thermostat. This is the only reason I downgraded it to 4 stars.

March 5, 2017
Still running strong a year after purchase. Though for some reason I can't turn the heat up more than halfway or the fuse goes and it overheats or something? Then I have to unplug it so it will turn on again. I think it's a safety feature, but I don't understand why make a product that won't work with the knob on max?
Second time around...first purchase lasted 3 years
December 14, 2016
This is the second purchase of this model for me - almost 3 years to the day I ordered my first one. The first heater just recently croaked - fan broke. The heater part still worked and all the other functions, just not the fan (which is a critical component for the hot air flow!) I purchased this model again because it is compact but warm! It heats up a room fairly quickly - depending on the size. In our open living room/dining room on the first floor, the heater doesn't help too much but does raise the temperature a degree or two. In my smaller rooms the heater can raise the temp a good 7-10 degrees quickly. It's pretty quiet too! Overall this is a good option for those who keep the house temp low and just need a little heat in a room or two throughout the day/evening. We have steam radiators so this little heater really helps supplement the heat in our home.
Good Little Heater
December 14, 2016
We have a house built in the 1940s--single pane windows, no insulation, and we rely on space heaters to keep the place warm... Last winter it was VERY cold in the bedroom, but since switching space heaters and adding this as a supplemental heat source I haven't had to sleep with three layers of clothes on! Yay!
Star deducted beause it blew out our outlet the other night and now we have to wait for maintenance to come fix it.
I usually have it on full blast because I like it warm
November 4, 2016
I got this for my office. It's only November now, but I started putting the heat on at my house in mid-October (Maine is cold). I've had it for a few weeks now, and have to say it works perfectly. I usually have it on full blast because I like it warm, but it heats up space rather quickly and I have to turn it off.
It doesn't seem like there is much of a difference between the two fan modes, but between the fan and the option to change the heat setting, you will likely achieve the setting you want. I am thinking of picking up another one for my basement when it gets chilly (winter is coming soon!).
Good product and heats 6x6 room to a very warm temperature.
Little heater great for smaller spaces
June 2, 2016
Use this in our RV to help heat so we don't have to waste propane when we are connected to shore power.
Does a good job of putting out heat without the whole unit getting hot. The counter top does not get hot either.
The only con is that you can hear it vibrating if sitting directly on the counter, placing the unit on something will help with that aspect.

March 7, 2017
My first "stand" heater. The only thing i don't like about it is not sending out heat from the floor up, since its on a stand. Heats the room well though.
Lasko Ceramic Pedestal Heater with Remote 5397
May 24, 2016
I gave only 4 stars because I wish that it were taller pedestal. It -so far- works great. It keeps the room at an even temperature for my Peterbald Cats (They have no hair). It is off the floor so they cannot sit in front of it and bake..LOL. The remote could be a little better if it worked from further away. However, THAT is the only thing I view as needs improving. Wonderful product I recommend it.

March 22, 2016
Good heater but had a very strong chemical smell at first (like plastic burning smell), we had to put it under the sun let the smell subside for weeks.
really nice heater for the price!
March 9, 2016
It's a little crooked because one of the bolts is stripped and the base won't sit right, but otherwise this is a really nice heater. Heats the room quickly and maintains the temperature well. I love that the remote has a digital display on it too, and that the heater oscillates and puts the heat at seated height.
June 6, 2015
Nice unit which produces heat without blowing fuses in the house. It's easy to assemble and to operate. I took away one star as the path of the heat is not wide. If you direct it on you, it's fine, Most certainly worth the price.
but a good buy for the price
April 3, 2015
Only used it once so far, but a good buy for the price. The digital display on the unit and remote control is very nice. The heat is distributed nicely around the room due to the oscillation setting and because of the pedestal. Very little assembly involved. This did a nice job on my living room and will work in a small bedroom on the low setting.
We will see.
October 29, 2017
Seems fine, but has never really been really tested. We will see what happens when it turns really cold.
September 30, 2017
Works well an the indicator works as a little light too
How to verify it actually works?
May 16, 2017
This is a tricky one. I mean, it works, there's a green light to indicate that the temperature is ok so I'm guessing this means the device is "doing what's is supposed to" but who knows if it really does what it says it does? there isn't even a sort of a test button like in smoke detectors that will tell you the circuits are working (sorry for the non technical terms here, I'm not an electrician...). So, assuming the device works as advertised, I would say this is a good product. The build quality looks good and the price is ok (this is a 2 pack). I use it with a room heater in the basement so was ok to spend a little more and know that I'm reducing the chance of fire or electrical issues in the basement where sometimes the heater is left unattended, and I hope I will never have to see this device at work.
March 14, 2017
Seems to work okay but the light inside is larger and more diffuse than I had expected. Makes it look cheaply made.
Very nice, but I got a used
February 3, 2017
got this with electric stove heater because of fire risks with all space heaters. Very nice, but I got a used, (not really, but someone bought it and never took it out of plastic package, which is hard to cut into. the price was half of the brand new one. I paid about $12, but full price would have been a lot for this switch. My husband said we really didn't need this safety plug, but better safe than sorry. We can use it with some other electric heater and electronics where the plugs can get hot as well.
Great other than the light
January 14, 2017
I read the prior reviews about the bright indicator light and purchased it thinking I could put a piece of electrical tape over it and have no issues. The plastic case is thin and the internal light is so bright that even with electrical tape over the front the whole thing glows green like a night light which is pretty annoying when you're trying to keep your room dark. Outside of that it works as advertised.

Item arrived late but still in time. It seems to be working well. However there is a constant clicking noise from oscalliation.
February 7, 2017
Works well but doesn't project the warm air very far from the heater. Not as good as my old quartz heater, but then again, it died!
Seems to work pretty good.
January 26, 2017
Seems to work pretty good...I feel the ambient temp sensor is not that accurate. I don't believe it actually holds true temp In a small room but overall it is fairly quiet and keeps me warm
love being able to set the temperature
January 10, 2017
We use this in our bathroom in the winter...love being able to set the temperature. So much better than the heat dish we had before.
Great product for the price
January 8, 2017
As stated in the title, it's a great buy for the price. The remote works good, even the auto-temperature control works reasonably well for the price..!
Great little heater. Only wish it had a pedestal leg for more height..

As described. Only have been using it for 2 days however it warms the 175sqft room quickly and efficiently with little noise.

December 21, 2016
Seems a little underpowered compared to my prior Lasko heaters, and the display is from 1970. My other cheaper Leskos had basic digital displays with the actual temperature and timer shown. These are just LEDs. The timer doesn't display 3 hours, it just lights up both the 1-hour and 2-hour lights haha. Seriously??
Good heat but loud
December 10, 2015
It's tough to review this one b/c it does give off great heat but is loud. It uses an internal fan no matter what the setting, and there's no way to turn it off. If I could turn the fan off, it'd be perfect. Can't decide whether or not I'm keeping it.
This heater was not useful for the room I had in mind
February 4, 2015
This heater was not useful for the room I had in mind. I would only recommend it for a small space or large bathroom. I decided to place it in the dining/kitchen area it helps to take the edge off but does not fully warm the space.

April 24, 2017
Even on the lowest heat setting is a bit warm and stuffy. I wish I had thought to look for a heater with a timer and remote as well. It can be annoying to have to turn it on and off from under my desk. It does pretty well though. Just wish it would be a little less warm.
It's okay, I guess.
March 31, 2017
Bought this heater Nov. 2015 and liked it for 2 winters. Near the end of the second winter it just stopped working; the light still comes on, but nothing blows. I'm not quite ready to stop using a little heater this year, so I'm at a loss. Buy another Lasko or try something else? I bought a different heater 6 years ago that lives at my parent's house and gets occasional winter use, and that one's still going strong despite some rough and tumble barn neglect. I would have repurchased that same model if it were in production anymore. I guess for what I paid this one is okay, but it let me down.
nice unit with good heat, but...
February 15, 2017
It's a nice little unit with good heat. A bit noisy if you're not into that sound. Unfortunately the thermostat doesn't work on mine right out of the box. Once it shuts off it, won't come back on no matter the setting. As the 'reset' instructions on the side say, "unplug for 5-10 min" -- well that's not fun! Too bad, will probably return it -- thanks Amazon Prime!
Works fine accept for two issues
February 11, 2016
Works fine accept for two issues. It can use a more powerful fan or a higher fan setting.. The other has to do with my electric bill. My electric bill almost doubled in a full month of usage, an increase of $186.00.. In all fairness it was in operation about 18 hours a day. Spoke to our city who provides electric service. They felt strongly about the heater being the cause for increase as everything else stayed the same.. In all fairness it was in operation about 18 hours a day. Maybe I just needed a more powerful heater to begin with. I will be finding a less costly way to heat. One thing for sure, I will be more careful about electric usage of anything I buy in the future.

January 17, 2016
The temperature/thermometer may be a bit off on this model - the product overall is a nice size and weight to for occasional, personal use in a smaller area, but the temperature gauge for the automated on-off function is sometimes frustratingly bad - it doesn't consistently turn on at the same colder temperatures, so I have to turn up the temperature limit to get the machine going, and then lower it so that the machine will turn off without getting the area too hot. For the price, though, this is suitable, but you'd really be fine with a personal heater with a timer.
Buy at your own risk...stopped working after 11 months
February 20, 2017
We have space heaters in our kids rooms during the winter and the Bionaire heater that we bought had broke so we went with this heater...It was exactly what we needed, worked well but it didn't last a year. It just stopped working and the temperature gauge just kept changing numbers. Had contacted customer service to see if we could make a claim but no response yet. Will update if they respond.
Doubles the bill easily for months of use
January 20, 2017
Works ok, but it is an energy sucker. Doubles the bill easily for months of use, but unfortunately I don't have another heating source in the bedroom.
January 10, 2017
I did what the instructions said to turn the heat up and it still didmt work. It is complicated.

December 20, 2016
Nice heat range but had to return and bought another one just stopped working shortly after we bought it. I would try it again to see because I did like it just stopped working, could have just been that one that was defective.
Wouldn't recommend. Works quietly
December 8, 2016
The thermostat doesn't work well. You set it to 74. It works until it hits 80. Drop it to 70 it shuts off at 71. Wouldn't recommend.Works quietly. The only upside.
October 3, 2015
Heats very well and. I love the remote. It is substantial and easy to operate. LED screen displays the temperature setting for a short period of time and beeps when temperature setting changed. Update: As of 5/2017, the on/ off power switch doesn't work. It has to be plugged in each time. Once on...the remote works. The remote itself very cheaply made plastic. Don't drop it on a hardwood floor or it breaks apart like a puzzle. Very frustrating as I have done this twice.
it comes out of the wall socket very easily.
October 30, 2017
This seems to be working, but, it comes out of the wall socket very easily.

Was damaged in a small way in shipment. I have two othe, same brand and this one makes more noise tha any of the older ones
Does not blow hard
February 16, 2017
Had to send it back doesn't blow very hard you have to stand right in front of it to feel the heat
Good heater but not actually white color
December 19, 2016
The heater is nice and affordable. Good settings (auto temperature, timer) and it's not loud. The reason for three stars is that the heater is not actually white as pictured. It's more of a grey color- the picture is misleading.
decent heater, vibrates and hums quite loudly
January 10, 2016
It's a ceramic tower heater with digital thermostat. It works and does the job but in my particiular unit the motor is unbalanced and starts making a vibrating/humming noise after a while. not my favorite, but I got a good deal on it so i'll probably just live with it.
Two Star Reviews:
February 7, 2017
Not as good as i hoped
I wouldn't buy this again.
March 14, 2016
I wish I had waited, Sams Wholesale had a bigger, more powerful one for a cheaper price. This heater works if you position it right on you. Barely warms a 4x4 area.
Would possibly work in a tiny, tiny room
January 8, 2015
This is not capable of warming an entire room. I bought this to use in my master bath so I don't freeze when getting out of the shower. Unless you stand directly in front of the unit, you will not feel any warmth whatsoever. I returned it and will look for something else.
January 6, 2015
So...I purchased as it was the one heater without chemical smell listed. I ran it today my entire home reaked within 20 minutes. I had to air out the house and run my hepa filter for hours. I'm afraid to run it now and as much as it did seem to generate good heat, not sure I'll keep it yet. I paid a lot more than it goes for today too, only three days ago, I feel a bit taken for a ride.
Doesn't Put Out Much Heat and Blows the Breaker
July 29, 2011
Bought two of these - one for my son-in-law in his workshed separate from his house, and another for us to use in our living room. I didn't want to keep heating the whole downstairs floor when we spent most of the evening in the living room only. It did eventually warm the room a few degrees and would have been OK if it didn't keep blowing the breaker switch. Our house has quality wiring and we don't have much of a problem with this sort of thing. We sometime have some pretty heavy electrical loads from an electric stove, electric oven, electric dryer, lighting, and air conditioning with no problem. The house has GFS breakers throughout, as well as the main breaker panel in the garage. Built in 1993. But the constant blowing of the breaker in the main panel dedicated to the living room (where we were only using the TV and one lamp), is too much of an annoyance, so it is basically useless for us. It has to be the heater, because we've run in the living room, the TV, stereo, lamp, main light, another lamp, foot massager, and a massaging chair all at the same time with no trouble. My son-in-law sent his back and got a more powerful heater. His house and workshed are much older (1960s built) but he has no trouble with blowing the breakers with a different brand of more powerful heater. Don't know why this one does it, but it's pulling too many amps or volts or something. I'm not an electrician so I don't know the exact problem but I do know it's related to that heater. No problems when it is not running.
This one Is like night and Day

Very Noisy . I have the same one that is 3 years Old that is so Quite. This one Is like night and Day .Not recommending it !
Redesign the grille for better/even air flow
January 19, 2016
It doesn't throw the heat but from one very small section of the front. Very poorly designed front grille. The grille creates to much blockage/resistance. How do I know this u ask. I took the front grille off and the unit performs as expected. I think the designers should redesign the grille to involve long slotted grille which can directionalize the air frow. The perforated grille doesn't work people.

December 5, 2015
Fantastic little heater with a reliable accurate thermostat glad I purchased it and YES it has a theremostat that works keeping the room at whatever temperature you choose. However saying all that it should be able to shut off if it is knocked off of a table and the fact that it will stain wood it sits on is disturbing
I cannot recommend this heater
December 2, 2015
I cannot recommend this heater. It does a good job of heating my bedroom (approx 132 sq ft) rapidly. I don;t even mind the fan, but within a week of purchasing it the unit developed an annoying rattle that is quite disturbing while I am trying to sleep. Also, the red light stays on continuously as long as the unit is plugged in (a waste of electricity). It would be more useful if the light only lit when the unit was turned on.
November 21, 2015
Defiantly not what I expected. I use to to hear my room which is approximately 150 square feet and you have to be almost directly next to it for you to feel the heat. Very disappointed, since the price was pretty high as well. Expected more
I Expected Better
December 13, 2016
It's so quiet I can't tell if it's running or not (a good thing) but it doesn't heat my room like the last heater I had so I know it's not as powerful as I expected it to be. That's really why I can't tell if it's running or not - my room never gets warm...... Not really happy with this brand or model.
October 23, 2016
After 2 other Lasko heaters worked well, this one was a big disappointment. I tested in the same room where I had been using a different Lasko heater, and this one failed to even reach the temperature I set. After I found that it consistently turned off early, with a desired temperature of 69, I set the thermostat to 72 and left it for a couple of hours. When I came back, it was off, indicating it thought it was at the right temperature, the front panel showed 74, but the room temperature was 66, confirmed by a pair of digital thermometers in the room. Several similar tests produced similar results, so I returned it. I believe the problem is that the temperature sensor is not insulated well enough from the heating element, so it shuts off too early.

June 8, 2016
super loud and there is no way to turn off the beeping noise when you instruct the device - this becomes way too loud to use in an office - no thanks and will be returning this.
January 9, 2016
Weak output - not very effective, very limited heating range. Can't even heat a small bathroom.
Thermostat isn't accurate at all!
February 27, 2015
The thermostat isn't accurate at ALL!! It runs almost all the time. It does shut on and off sometimes. But I do like the heater bc it is warm and the oscillating helps to keep air circulated well.
November 30, 2014
It smells like something is burning when in use. It is very loud. I am returning this one.
Hopefull they work
August 5, 2017
Looking forward to using this. These do appear to be second hand products, possibly yard sale. Had $3 price tags on them.
is pretty. NOT RECOMMENDED
January 8, 2017
Small appliances (microwave, space heater) continue to short out the old fuse box despite this device's claims of preventing that. I'd return it but already tossed the packing material. The green on light, which didn't go to red when a heater blew a house fuse, is pretty. NOT RECOMMENDED.
Fine if you also want a very bright nite-light.
December 27, 2016
I bought this to provide some peace of mind because we have an infrared radiant heater in my daughter's room and I wanted some insurance against the cord/outlet overheating. It seems to work just fine. The 2-star review is because the whole thing glows green. I like bedrooms to be dark (Hey! No ugly wife jokes!) This thing illuminates the entire room with a bright green glow that you can't turn off. I have the same issue with any product that has lights or bright displays that remain on. It seems like a very poor design to me.
February 25, 2017
It might warm a closet.
January 30, 2017
Not a fan of this heater. You can set the temperature, but this thing keeps on heating...way past the selected temperature. Very disappointed.
I sent it back !
January 25, 2017
It worked fine for a few days and them the fan got very loud, like a bad rattle. When changing the fan speed sometimes it would stop but always at some point it came back. Also the thermostat does work correctly. It rarely turned off even when turned down to the low 60"s. I sent it back.
Buy this same heater for 20$ less from Lasko.
January 13, 2017
I made the mistake of purchasing this for 80$, you can buy this exact same heater/model number for 60$ from the company itself: Lasko 32" Ultra Digital Ceramic Tower Heater with Remote ControlI don't appreciate the fact that this company is reselling this with a 20$ price hike and throwing in hand warmers. But I chose not to return it because of the inconvenience.I would rate the heater itself 5/5, I have a 16x14x10 room and its able to bring it up to mid 80s, no problem. The max setting is 90 but my room is too large to keep it heated to 90.No issues with the heater shutting off when it hit the set temp. Remote and tip over is a nice feature. Heater is cool to the touch because of ceramic grill even when on for a while.

March 3, 2016
Heats the area fairly well but started making a rattle noise just a few weeks after we got it. Lasko is usually well priced but they don't last too long. This will be the last one for me. I think I'll just spend a little more next time.
Heats a room well enough, but it's very loud ...
October 19, 2015
Heats a room well enough, but it's very loud and distracting in the bedroom. The fan makes a wobbling hum that is very distracting if you're a light sleeper or when you're waking up in the morning and want to stay up in bed just a bit more. The oscillating feature also makes its own noise, so you get 3 levels of noticeable noise.

Worked great for a few weeks. Now it doesn't turn on. Wouldn't recommend buying this product
Broke with 6 months of purchase X2!!!

I bought two of these and they BOTH stopped working within 6 months of purchasing. The first broke within 1 month of purchase. I do not recommend.
Stinky heater - Bad control settings
February 13, 2016
I bought this in Jan. 2015, to replace the slant fin heater in my tiny powder room. Loved that it was a tower, that wouldn't take up a lot of the little available floor space. I had some concerns about the chemical odor some of the reviewers mentioned, but they were a small minority, and so I bought this. The only good thing about this heater is that it's a tower! After several hours, my eyes were burning, and the smell had permeated the entire first floor. The controls are weird as well - I wanted to run it on low, set at 70°, with it oscillating. No can do - as soon as you hit the OSC button, it automatically goes to High. The only way you can run it on Low & OSC, is with the temp set at Max. Have read the instructions numerous times - the only mention of temp and speed being connected is that if you want to run it at Max temp, it only runs at High for efficiency.
Heater is now stinking up my basement, as temps in single digits. Sorry I wasted my money, would not recommend or ever buy another Lasko heater.
It melted after a month of usage
January 4, 2016
It is a really good heater, until it melted. You can see in the photos that both sides have buckled in and the plastic is clearly melting. I'm not sure if this is a fire hazard or a major design flaw. A replacement was sent to me so I will update in a month once I try this new heater.
If you have children, animals or someone that might knock it over, this does NOT have an auto cut-off which most all heaters do.
January 7, 2017
It works good, HOWEVER...if you have children, animals or someone that might knock it over, this does NOT have an auto cut-off which most all heaters do. I live alone and it matters not to me at all. So, COULD be deadly!
Waste of money
January 2, 2017
Absolute garbage. Lasted less than one month and they want me to pay to send the origional back in order to receive a new one or a refund. Basically half the cost of the heater. Do not buy.
December 17, 2016
This thing is absolute garbage! It stopped working after less than a week of normal use. Don't waste your money! We have another space heater by Lasko that we bought last year and is a total workhorse to this day (a much different model). I thought that meant there was some general quality control behind the brand, and this one was well reviewed. But no. It's a lemon. If I'd had any idea what a piece of junk this was going to turn out to be, I'd have saved the box, but now I don't think I can even return it.
Died as the warranty expired
November 12, 2016
Loved it for exactly 11 months and 20 days of the one year warranty. Now it no longer turns on under thermostat control, despite following the reset instructions several times. It will cost more to send it to Lasko under warranty than it cost. When it quits completely it goes into the dumpster.
Don't buy it!
November 6, 2016
Worked good for 4 1/2 months than just stopped working. I live in a warm climate and used it only for a small room so it wasn't used a whole lot. It started acting up a couple of weeks ago and it doesn't turn on at all. Of course I am beyond the return policy and can find no way to get a manufacturers warranty although I will keep looking
This heater worked good for about a month
September 26, 2017
This heater worked good for about a month. Then it started heating up the room way past the set temperature. I would set it to 65 and it would go up to 85 instead it would just keep going instead of shutting off. This made me very upset because I have an infant and I would hate him to overheat in the bedroom when I put him down for bed in the winter in warm clothing. The only reason I knew the room was over heating is because his baby monitor has a temperature reading device and it alarmed because one day the room became too hot!!!
Not a good heater
April 18, 2017
The temperature does not work. If you set it to a temp it should go on and off to keep with that temp but does not. And falls over very easily. Def not a good heater if you have kids. It's hot to the touch and doesn't shut off when it falls.
December 23, 2016
Put out plenty of heat if you don't mind the the strong toxic smell of plastic burning!
Buy with caution
April 27, 2016
I bought this heater for my room and it gets hot but only if you're standing right in front of it. It is not quiet either. If you want to return it, you have to pay for the shipping which is about $26. If that's not enough, they charge you another $6 bucks for restocking fee. So, keep all that in mind when buying this heater
Stopped working after 3 weeks:(
April 27, 2016
I bought this heater towards the end of February. I worked great for about 3 weeks then stopped turning on. It was never dropped or knocked over. I was very disappointed that it broke after such a short time.
Stopped working after 1 month!!!
December 22, 2015
I like it, a LOT! It's exactly what i searched for, and for a fair/if not cheap price. The heater is very light-weight, making it easy to move around from room to room. It comes with a controller that is very responsive, with a hook to attach it to the back of your heater when not using it, so your controller does not get lost. I have a pretty big room, and this machine does a good job heating up my room (in low power mode), it takes about 10 mins to heat up my room to a fair degree. It looks very nice and catches attention when I invite friends over. I like this product a lot, and for $5 extra, you can add i think it was a 2-year warranty to this.Oh, also may I not forget to mention, this heater does not consume a lot of electricity, if using it reasonably. I use it fairly during the mornings and night, and the electricity bill of the house has barely changed. Good stuff.January 22, 2016Update: I've had this heater for about a month now I think. I would use this during the mornings and nights, it's wen the weather mostly drops. For about 2 hours morning and 2 hours at night. I dropped the stars on this device from 5 to 1!!!!!! The heater completely stopped working 2 days ago. It won't power on, I plugged it into diff outlets and it's completely DEAD!!! from only using it for 1 month!!!!!!!! Thanks god I payed an extra $10 for a 4 year warranty otherwise I'd been screwed with having to buy another one. I will update my review again upon receiving a new wolfing one...hopefully. This thing was probably refurbished or something -_-
Plug burned me still
July 15, 2017
They don't work. I had purchased a few of these for small space heaters. After letting the heater run for about 10 minutes I decided to move it across the room. The plug on these get so hot one actually left burn marks on me when I was testing them.

January 5, 2017

Hardware was not in the package
September 27, 2017
After opening the box to put together the heater, we found no screws to put the base together in the package nor was the remote for the heater. Very disappointed .
AUTO function thermostat doesn't work with this brand.
March 15, 2017
Second Lasko heater with a useless thermostat. I will say it puts out a lot of heat however in auto mode it ONLY works on high which is not energy efficient. Most importantly, the manual says it fluctuates 3 degrees in auto mode. 2 down, and 1 up from what it is set at. BOTH of the LASKO heaters fluctuated 12 degrees or more right off the bat. If you ask me, that is NOT auto control. That is out of control. DeLonghi has kept my room a very consistent temp for 7 years on eco mode. I will go back to them.
March 12, 2017
Crap. The heater doesn't heat. Don't buy products like this since you have to send it back and what a pain. Target or Home Depot for sure.

STOPPED WORKING AFTER 6 MONTHS
March 9, 2016
I am very disappointed with this purchase. I purchase a lot of items with my prime at Amazon, this product stopped working in 7 months, now the remove doesn't work nor does the unit. Nothing happens when you turn it on. It used to warm up the room and is pretty lightweight.First I called Amazon because it is sold directly by them. Then they gave me an email to email to. I emailed to email@example.com twice in a week but nobody replies to that email. So basically I am out of luck. I would recommend checking the warranty on this product because the product is sold by Amazon directly and not manufacturer.
