Great small portable heater
September 4, 2017
Great small portable heater. I use it primarily as a white noise machine, so have only tested the heat function a bit. It doesn't seem to put out quite as much heat as my last portable fan/heater, and is probably better suited for a small office, small bedroom. With the AC on, it heated up was heating up my midsize bedroom, but it'd take awhile to warm the room, especially in the winter.
Moderately loud, which is why I bought it. The white noise does wonders. Very well constructed, especially for the price, simple design, looks like it'll be easy to clean.
It works great for both purposes
June 13, 2017
I have had this little heater since 2011! Still works perfectly. We normally use it in our big master bath in winter to take the chill off when we shower. We also take it camping with us and is our sole source of heat in our small camper. It works great for both purposes. The thermostat works well once you figure out which setting is best for your situation. I love that it shuts off when tipped over. I'm planning on buying a second so I can keep one in the camper and have one for the bathroom.
This my second one.

This is my second one. I had my first one for a bunch of years I can't even remember how long. It worked great and this one does too. I like that the material doesn't get hot you won't get burned if you touch the grill of it. It turns off if it falls and it cycles on and off based on how you set it. I was grateful to know this model was still being made. Just know that your pet will likely find the space in front of the heater the prime place to nap.

I keep this little heater under my desk at work where it always feels like i'm on an antarctic exploration but with this little guy at my toes I can finally defrost! It doesn't make a noise if you accidentally tip it over (as some other units do for safety) and it gets pretty warm to the touch. For these reasons I would not choose to use it around children or pet but as an office warmer is perfect. 10/10 would buy again
Small, yet powerful
March 20, 2017
I got two of these for bedrooms that get cold in the winter even with the central heating going - one for each room. They quickly brought the rooms to a comfortable temperature and, once set, kept them comfortable.
Their size makes them easy to store when not in use.
Going through second winter like a Champ!

I use this in my daughters room. I bought it for her room because the house we rent has bad air circulation and gets freezing upstairs. I live around Chicago, so we get some very cold nights!
As first time parents, putting a heater in my infant child's bedroom over night was a terrifying idea. After using it for a while to get the right temperature and test safety features, I was confident I could put it in her room. Made space where it goes and I don't let anything close to it if it is out.
This heater is still going strong. Works just like it did when I got it, keeps my daughter warm at night while I can sleep without worrying that it will cause any harm to her. I couldn't ask anything more of a heater. Plus it puts out good heat for how small it is.
I love this heater!

I LOVE this little heater. It works great and doesn't show any signs of stopping. It's an attractive design that has most of my guests saying "what is that?" If they even notice it at all, as its pretty quiet. There's a setting for low (but the only temperature option for low is "max") and the setting for high has "max" but also varying temperature options up to 85. There's timer options for four hours, two hours and one hour and the option to oscillate. This thing pumps out some serious heat! But I also believe it to be safe, as long as you're using it properly. I haven't noticed any signs of melting or warping anywhere on it and I've used it on high max for a while, as my house was built in the early 1900s and gets quite drafty. It was warns up my large living room with high ceilings (10 ft)I thought it was a bit pricey for the size when I got it but now after having it a while, I think it's worth it.When I saw the other reviewers complain about a lack of remote, I thought that was silly. But now I occasionally wish it did come with a remote just to turn it off when I'm too lazy to get up hahaAll in all, I would recommend it. I've had several space heaters over the years in various homes/apartments and I have to say this one is the absolute best I've had for the price. And it's better looking than any other space heater I've had.
MONEY SAVING - Decorative and nice and cozy!!

I love these heaters!! Last winter I didn't even have to turn the heater on once because of this awesome heater!! I bought one for the living room, my office and our bedroom, and they work great!! Then in the Spring and summer, just put them in them boxes and put them away for the following year. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
Best heater EVER!
January 21, 2016
I love this little heater so much! I bought it for the room that I keep my panther chameleon in, to keep him warm, not only in the winter but also from our cold house. I love that it is temperature controlled so it turns off once the room hits the temperature it's set to. The style is soO lovely, company hardly notices it's a heater, & the housing itself doesn't get hot at all! A must have!
Power packed heater that KEEPS ME WARM
December 9, 2013
Let me just say, WOW! This little thing doesn't look like it would give off much heat, but it really does. I had just purchased a heater from Dollar General, Comfort Zone CZ550 when this Lasko heater arrived a day early and I had a chance to compare them side by side. Although they both have a high setting of 1500 watts, the Lasko on the lowest setting put out twice as much heat as the Comfort Zone heater on the highest setting.I really wondered how well it would work and the minute I plugged it in I was amazed. I can't give information on the size of room it would heat and keep that way because I was using it in a very large area-kitchen with attached family room, 408 square feet, plus I had it placed near an open doorway to the dining room and living room area which are another 650 square feet. But it totally kept all of us warm-everyone sitting within 10 feet of the heater. This heater does a much better job than both a Delonghi radiator type heater and a Sunbeam radiant quartz heater. This one puts out way more heat than the radiator type heater and just as much as the radiant quartz heater did. But, with no orange glow, it's one you can stand at night that won't keep you awake. It is also cool to the touch everywhere except on the metal grate cover which is warm to the touch, but not warm enough to burn your skin. It is also very stable, not likely to be accidentally knocked over. I don't think it would be much of a fire hazard even if it did tip over. Unlike the Sunbeam heater we had that was VERY hot and I was always afraid anything that touched it would start on fire (although it did have a turn off feature). As to features, it has an oscillating feature to heat more evenly. It has a low and high setting. On low there is no thermostat setting, just maximum (so you either have it on or you don't). On high there is a thermostat with settings from 60 to 85 degrees, plus maximum, I suppose meaning that it will just stay on constant rather than staying on when it hits the selected temperature. It also has a timer that can be set for 1, 2, or 4 hours. Everything is push button on the top of the unit, so very accessible. I like the stand not only because it looks nice, but whichever way you need the cord to go, you can thread it through the bottom "s" loop on that side to keep it routed where you want it.All in all, I LOVE this heater. I think I will be buying another one soon. I will update when I have had it longer to see how well it holds up. Unlike many reviewers who say they will update and 3 years later there is nothing, I actually update my reviews from time to time.
Great for our new baby!
October 14, 2013
I bought this to help keep our baby warm at night. It matches his nursery perfectly and works great. We have used it nearly every night for the past several weeks without issue. The timer is a great feature, it shuts off when the desired temperature is reached, and is unexpectedly quiet.November UPDATE: I have been using this heater every night now for nearly a month. I love it more every day. The cost was barely noticeable on my electric bill, which was a very pleasant surprise. I leave it on 70 degrees for about five to seven hours each night.
Saved me a bundle!
July 29, 2013
I waited until after I had used this an entire winter before writing a review. I admit that my house is kept pretty cool because of the expense of the propane we use to heat it, which over the previous three years averaged just over $3100/yr. I used this heater in the living/dining/kitchen area (about 500 sq.ft.) during the day while I was up and about and left the thermostat for the entire house at 55 degrees 24/7. At the end of the year my heating bill was down $1600 and the electric was up $140. And this past winter was colder than usual! I've already talked my sister and my niece into buying one of these.

This has worked pretty well for my small apartment's bathroom, but I ordered it before I noticed it was actually for a desktop and is not supposed to be used in a bathroom. Oh, well, keeps me warm enough when getting out of the shower and drying off.
Good heater - watch out for power surge!
June 13, 2017
Was a great heater. It worked like a champ for a few years day in, day out. Then our workplace got a power surge.... Well that was the end of the space heater.
Can't blame the heater for the power surge, but was kinda surprised that there wasn't some protection on it as this was a heating unit. That's why I subtracted one star.
LOUD but it works.
May 15, 2017
Works well overall, can provide heated air or just circulate with the fan and no heat. But be warned, this fan is LOUD. Even on "low" it is loud. Works well as a noise canceling device in an office to block out surrounding sounds if that is something you are looking for.
wish the blower was a little stronger.
May 7, 2017
My previous Holmes, had more power with blowing the air, and I could feel the hot air if it sat on the back of the toilet while I was standing at the sink. (the sink is right next to the toilet.) This one, I do not feel it blowing on me from the back of the toilet while standing at the sink. To feel the hot air blowing in me, I have to have it very close to me. It works well to heat up the bathroom if I turn it on a few minutes before going into the bathroom, and that is nice. It is nice that it has one setting to blow air as regular fan (not blowing hot air.)
Portable desktop heater
December 18, 2016
I bought it for my office. I've only used it a couple of times and it really heats up the space in 10-15 minutes. I tried it at home, in the living room but I would not use it as a space heater, it works better as a directional heat source. Although powerful I am concerned about the power bill if I have it running for too long in high. I noticed a wire smell the first time I used it but it did not last for more than a few minutes. The name says it all. Good investment.
If only it was quieter.....
October 17, 2016
I had bought this for my desk at work, no matter if they have the heat on or not, it is always freezing, so I thought I'd get this and give it a shot. It does do a great job of keeping me warm, but the fan is pretty loud. I think I'll have to use this at home, it's too loud for me to have at work.
Other than how loud it is, I do really like this fan. I would recommend it for sure if you didn't need to have a quite fan around.
This is a great space heater for my office
April 10, 2017
This is a great space heater for my office. It is stylish, heats quickly, and doesn't take up much space. The only negative is that the temperature shutoff feature only works on high. That makes the low setting unusable for me. The whole purpose of running a space heater is to maintain an even temperature in a room, so the temperature shut-off is the only way to go. Why they don't make that an option for both low and high settings? I don't know.
nice little heater
April 3, 2017
We have a split level home, and the lower level gets quite chilly since it's essentially a basement. I decided to purchase this to help heat up the room. It does a pretty nice job; I really like the oscillating feature. It heats up a room quite nicely as long as there is no furniture or anything blocking the flow of the warm air. However, I have noticed that after a few months of use it doesn't seem to blow as much heat as it did at first, even on the MAX temperature. It still feels warm up close, but it doesn't seem to efficiently heat the room like it did before.. But, it looks nice and works fine. I purchased a second one for the upstairs as well for next winter.
Very good heater
March 5, 2017
I like how this is decor-friendly. No more putting up the ugly space heater when guests come over. This heater functions well, the only thing I would change is it having an accompanying remote control. I realized that Lasko does offer a similar heater with a remote after I purchased this one. Overall, I'm happy. I also like that it has a sturdy stand so you don't have to worry about it falling over. It heats a large enough area, our master bedroom. Occasionaly I bring it out to the living area. I would definitely order again for other rooms in the house, perfect for winter nights.
Absolutely love this heater.
March 1, 2017
Just received and amazed at this heater. It has temperature settings 65 to 85 in increments of 5 degrees and Hi/Lo option. Very unique design and I love the fact that it doesn't look like a heater and I can set it anywhere without it being unsightly. I just came back to order a second one. It's bigger than I pictured. I just hope this lasts for a while. The last Lasko heater I had stopped working after only a few years of very little use.
February 18, 2017
Very nice, except for the LOUD beep whenever you press any control button on top of the unit. So much for quietly warming up the bathroom while my wife is sleeping. It sounds like a microwave oven announcing the end of the cooking time. It's LOUD. If you want to set it to Low - Oscillate - 70 degrees, that's four loud beeps. Other than that, it's very attractive, and pumps out a nice amount of heat. I wouldn't return it, because it's a good unit. But one of these days if I feel ambitious, I'm going to figure out how to disable that obnoxious BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP.

January 14, 2015
The heater is great, though there are a few issues with the controls that work, but seem a bit odd. First though the heater is very efficient, when it first arrived, I almost sent it back assuming that, with it's compact size, it would never be able to heat my under-insulated apartment. Once I turned it on, I was amazed that it heated so well, and did it with so little fuss.My only complaint, deals with the controls. When I set the temperature originally, I set it for a 70 degree threshold, the heater started and correctly shut down when the room air temp. had reached 70 degrees. The next time I started it, it had assumed that I either wanted it on high, or on 75 degrees. I found that I have to cycle through all of the available temperature settings to return to the 70 degree setting I wanted last time. This is only a minor inconvenience, so I dropped it down one star, but I must say that after living in the same drafty apartment for 15 years I finally have a heater that can quickly raise the temperature in the bedroom within 10 to 15 minutes in the morning. I haven't gotten an electric bill yet, but my guess is that it will be much lower than what I used to pay for the ceiling mounted electric radiant heat that is the heating system in the apartment.

Surprisingly loud for such a compact unit. Do not buy if you are looking for a quiet fan or heater.
great for a while ... then...
May 9, 2017
So I've had two of these heaters/fans for a while, I bought the most recent about 7 months ago for my office. After about this amount of time to a year, something goes wrong and the electrical plug starts arching in the outlet. We've tried different outlets as well as bending the prongs to make a snug connection but today the arching started and I instantly smelled the 'burning electrical' and quickly unplugged it. Not sure why both heaters did the same thing but while I loved these heaters/fans, it's a bit dangerous to try again. The first I considered perhaps a lemon, this second one? I believe that there wont be a third, safety is paramount!
Okay For The Money
March 13, 2017
I bought this to use in my very small bathroom as there is not a heater in that room. It worked really great to begin with. After a few months the heating element does not get as hot as it did when I first got it. The fan still works just fine.
it works great for a small bedroom
March 12, 2017
We use this in my 2 year olds room during the winter. My olny complaint is that every few days, the heater goes through a weird phase where it doesn't shut off. Luckily, we have a temperature gauge on our baby monitor and it goes off whenever his room gets to be too hot. But every few days, we have to sneak in there while he is sleeping and reset the heater.
Other than that, it works great for a small bedroom. We've been using it throughout our Michigan winter.
Works ok for smaller rooms or areas
December 21, 2016
Works pretty good for small rooms, but the speed control is pretty much all or nothing. The fan's speed doesn't change at all until the dial is turned all the way back around to about the 11 o'clock position...if you think of it as low to high being 9 o'clock to 3 o'clock. No gradual decrease like I expected, and the low heat setting is VERY LOW. Not much heat put out at all. And it's definitely a whole lot louder than I expected. But it works ok for the small room I'm using it for with all settings on high. Wouldn't recommend for a normal sized room or anything tho.
Very warm, but only lasted 6 months
September 5, 2015
This was a great heater while it lasted. I put it under my desk at work, and it kept me toasty. Unfortunately, it didn't last long. It only made it about 6 months before it quit working. It just wouldn't power on one day. I went and replaced it with a cheap-o one from Wal-Mart. I figure that if I am going to have to replace it after 6 months, I would rather pay for a cheap $10 one at Wal-Mart than another $30 one here.
Over priced but nice looking. Heats a space nicely
December 11, 2016
Over priced but nice looking. Heats a space nicely. Buttons are too loud & heater should come with remote for the price. Should also have timer to turn on.
Imperfect heat range controls
October 4, 2016
The heater is attractive, quiet and works well enough in some circumstances. Shorter than I had expected. My issue in reducing stars is that the low setting, which is what I use to avoid tripping breakers when two heaters in adjacent rooms happen to come on at once, automatically defaults to "Max" on the heat setting - meaning it does not allow use of the push buttons on the thermostat. The thermostat, if you can use it on high, is in 5 degree increments, with a jump of 5 degrees from 65 to 70 and from 70-75 (it then goes up twice more to 85 - who would use that?). I like to set my other units at 67-68.Also, the oscillation has a much narrower turn area than my other Lasco heaters. I'll keep it, because Lasco has been a good brand for me and I have an office room where I can keep watch on the temp without the thermostat - but I would go back to their other taller and more settable models in the future. The one I like best is Lasko's model 6462.

March 16, 2016
Beautiful heater. Doesn't heat the bedroom as well as I hoped. If I am not close to it I don't feel the warmth. It's good for knocking the chill out of the air but not warmth. Guess I need more kilowatts. Very, pretty not your typical heater which is why I didn't return it.
November 6, 2015
This deserves five stars for design and it does a good job heating. My only complaints is that it is a bit to noisy, and it is rated a little to high at 900 watts for the low setting.
Heat and looks are great and speak for themselves
November 3, 2015
Heat: 5 stars. Looks: 5 stars. Temp settings: 2 stars.Heat and looks are great and speak for themselves. BUT Lasko heaters (this is my third one) don't turn on until they're COLD past the desired indicated temp setting, and keep heating until they're HOLY MOLY IT'S HOT past the same setting. This heater has settings for 70 degrees and 75 degrees. Max comfort is somewhere between there. Why have settings for only 65 (turns on at 63), 70, and 75 (heats to almost 80)? Why not 68, 70, 72, and 75? Why not regulate to 1 degree? Love this heater. Wish it had tighter tolerances.
It heats rooms.
January 7, 2014
This is a great heater if you're looking to not only warm your room, but also your guests' hearts with more fashionable heating decor. Mine doesn't oscillate, nor can I use anything but the "max" temperature when it's on a low fan setting. That being said, if I keep it on a high fan setting, I can keep my room at a steady temperature (e.g. 70 degrees). This has been beneficial to my life. I'll probably buy another because I need to have more heat in my kitchen, and who would I be if I didn't have matching heaters?

I've been using this heater for a month now and I've noticed that it's heating capacities have greatly decreased. It still works but the output is lukewarm rather than hot. I also received a shocking electric bill this month. My bill is usually $15-$18 per month but after using the heater nights only (not on weekends just m-f) it's increased to $70! I'm saddened by the quality of its heating capacities and the enormous amount of energy it requires.

April 27, 2016
I purchased this item during the winter of 2014 to use the heat setting in my bedroom when I didn't want to heat the whole house. Even on the low setting it would blow as if it were on high and I noticed the unit always caused the wall around the socket to get warm. I awoke one morning to discover both the socket and plug burned black and the wall was EXTREMELY HOT. If I'd slept another 2 seconds the place would have been on fire. Purchase at your own risk.
Cheap amateur design
January 21, 2016
I believe this may be discontinued. It should be. There are a variety of thermostatic controls for temperature. This resembles an old design which operated reasonably well within limits. Higher wattages were a killer. Even the lower wattage is too much for this one. For the price, they could have incorporated a solid state control with a cheaper thermostat. Saved pennies, wasted dollars.
Luke Warm At Best
January 9, 2016
Unless you stand directly in front of heater, even on high setting - it's luke warm at best. Just purchased, so no idea how long it will last based on other reviews.
UPDATE TO ORIGINAL REVIEW: Broke within a week of receiving product. Initially would trip outlet breakers, then finally quite working all together. I live in a newer home, so its not my electrical outlet. Would not recommend.
like a bathroom
October 17, 2015
Was not used for more than 6mo, at most & only during cold months.
Even in a small space, like a bathroom, with fan & heat on high, it didn't warm up the room much more than a foot or 2 directly in front of it.
Over time the fan worked intermittently. Some days it would work. Sometimes jostled the unit or shifted it slightly & it worked.
Then the heating began going out. Soon enough, it didn't turn on at all.
For the price, don't expect this to be more than a temporary fix to get through more than 1 winter season without trouble.
I love this heater

You get what you pay for
February 21, 2017
good heater, heats up a room nicely and efficiently. The thermostat works pretty good for 60 and 65 degrees, but for anything over those settings, this heater does not stop heating the room. at 70 degrees, even when the room (farthest away from the heater and on the same level as the heater) is clearly over 75 degrees, the heater will still stay on, heating the room to death (100+ degrees) and does not stop. For my purposes, the 65 degree setting suits me, as it keeps the room at a nice 72-75 despite being set to 65. I guess you get what you pay for, in this circumstance.
It seemed promising, but I returned it
May 16, 2016
The overall design looks nice, and the oscillation can be turned on or off. Atop my desk, it well heated my bedroom of roughly 10 x 11 feet. But even after several uses for several hours each, it still filled the room with an odor, like motor oil, that initially was strong and that I figure is, and which felt, somewhat toxic. And although the lights on the operation buttons atop the heater are a mild nuisance, an especial nuisance for me was the red light, which remains on even when the heater is turned off, just above the Lasko logo and behind the grate. Since it is some distance behind the grate, where heat flows out, I thought it inadvisable to try to conceal that red light with tape, especially since blocking that light would take a piece of tape far larger than that light.

Started a fire in our kitchen plug.
December 26, 2014
Unfortunately this product has a defective flaw, and I wonder if Lasko even knows about it themselves; though it is difficult to imagine they would not. I tend to believe it is a flaw common to all 6405's shipped, not just mine. when I discovered it the first time I sent it back and asked for an exchange-they sent me a new unit and after a week, which is the same amount of time the first one worked properly the second one failed. I do not believe in a coincidence in this case. if anyone disputes this I would imagine they/we are not talking "apples to apples"...Here is the flaw: while the unit does not come equipped with a timer, it is supposed to allow you to set a desired temperature then heat the room until that temperature is reached, with the small green LED button light flashing all the time. Once it reaches (in my case 75 degrees) the unit turns itself off then starts up again when the temperature in the room dips below that...(I have mine in a dressing room which only measures approximately 12' x 10' so the room is small)...As aforementioned both units worked the way they were supposed to for about a week, then I noticed that function stopped working so the unit stays on continuously until I'm there to turn it off, be it an hour or three hours, the unit stays on...the temperature in the room at this point is well over 80 degrees which is how "we" know that self-turning-off-function no longer functions...so there.UPDATE, ONE DAY LATER: just "to be clear" in MY case the flaw in the function is only at the 75 degree setting, which is the setting I wanted to keep the unit at during the nighttime hours-it works fine at the 70 degree setting, but of course the unit does not have to turn it self on very often to maintain that temperature...UPDATE (1/5/15) I can confirm that with my unit the function again fails now at the 70 degree setting, i.e. the flashing green light stays on continuously well after the temperature in the room approaches 80, and of course it was supposed to stop once (the room temp)reached 70...

Do not buy- the heater stopped working after a few weeks and the manufacturer refused to abide by the warranty!!
August 31, 2017
I purchased this heater in March, but didn't use it until months later. The heater worked fine for about two weeks, and then it stopped working. After jumping through several hoops with the manufacturer, it finally conceded that the warranty was still in place, but since the heater was out of "season", they could not replace the item. Who provides a one year warranty, but then does not keep sufficient supply of the product? I asked for a refund, and they went radio silent. I am still working on getting a replacement/refund. Needless to say, I will not be purchasing another faulty product from Holmes or Sunbeam again.
April 20, 2017
Right now this is described as cool-touch housing. SO not cool touch and even warns you that if you touch it when running you will be burned. I have a larger heater from a different manufacturer that is cool to the touch and blows warm air. I though I was buying the same thing.
This heater is fails in a major way
December 18, 2016
I wish I should of saved more money to buy a better heater than this one but noooo I was cheap and bought this horrible heater. It shuts off when I try to turn to high heat but when I turn it to low heat level it still shuts off. Now I will have to be on a never ending journey for another heater that actually works and I will never buy this heater again. Save your money for a different high quality okay 😡😡😡😡
Essentially flawed design.
January 6, 2015
There's a note on the side of it that says if it suddenly turns off, just unplug it for 30 minutes and try again. Um, no. I'm not going to babysit a heater and futz around with the plug. There's a dial with numbers on it, but I have no idea why because if you move it to <4 it turns off, and if you turn it to >4 it turns on. I'm literally too annoyed to return it. I'll just make sure everyone knows never to buy something from Holmes.

Quit after 2 months.
March 11, 2017
Initially, this seemed great. I have had it for 62 days, and it just quit working. It comes on, but only blows cool air and the oscillating, temperature, and duration buttons don't work at all. It's past the 30 day return policy and I have to contact the manufacturer and send it to them at *my* expense so they can determine *if* they will repair or replace. More expensive items should have longer return times.

Stylish space heater with some problems. There is only one difference between high and low settings. On low I can only set the temperature to "max". If I try to change the temperature setting on low it automatically jumps to the high setting. No difference in the force of the air coming out between high and low.No tip-protection. I assume it will keep running if it falls over. It has a good base and is not top-heavy, but if knocked over it could be a problem. Did not want to test that theory. Not much oscillation. Only goes back and forth a little, maybe 60 degrees.Does a good job heating a good-sized master bedroom, but not as good as other Lasko space heaters I've purchased in the past. Next time I will spring for the not-so-fancy model. Not recommended!***UPDATE***Stopped working after 2 weeks. When turned on, both lights come on for high and low settings and heater does nothing. Sending it back for a refund. Really sucks that this happened when temp is in the 20's and we have a poorly insulated bedroom. Can't wait on a replacement...have to buy one at the store today...at Christmas time...when I get my shopping done early so I don't have to deal with the crowds...Joy to the World!

This was a great little heater until all the control buttons stopped working 1-1/2 months after it was purchased. The heater begins oscillating without warning, it is impossible to adjust the temperature or time, and it will no longer turn off via the power button. The only way to get it to turn off is to unplug it. At this point, I don't think it is safe to use.The product warranty is for 3 years. I called Lasko Customer Service to discuss the problems with the heater per the warranty instructions. They asked that I send them the cord (rather then the entire defective heater - to save shipping costs) along with a copy of the receipt and a written description of the problem. They said that they will send a replacement, which should arrive in about 3 weeks.

I always buy Lasko for space heaters and fans. They usually work better and last longer than any other brand on the market. This one didn't work at all. It would run for five minutes, then stop, and it would be hours before it would let you turn it on again.

Must give credit to the designer of this model and a BIG thumbs down to the engineer and quality control team. Smh.I was very much taken by the looks and after much debate I chose this model because it's just so darn nice looking lol. Unfortunately as soon as I plugged the thing in, it stopped working ... asked them to exchange and they quickly and generously told me I may keep it along with a refund. Awesome sauce.Anyways, I tried tinkering with it by leaving it alone and it worked! ... for 2 days! Then it caught on fire ....... see the photos =P
