LOVE this vacuum!
September 23, 2016
This is a must have if you have wood floors and pets! My husband was so annoyed with me for buying another vacuum, but he has told me several times in the past few weeks how much he loves it. We had a Dyson at our old house, but needed something for hardwoods at our new place. I seriously can't believe how great this is, especially for the price. The Dyson was so heavy and almost impossible to maneuver. This one is incredibly lightweight and you barely have to do anything. My 12-year-old is vacuuming daily...on her own. If you have kids, you know this is a miracle. But the BEST part! It works! No hair, no crumbs, not even dust left behind. We have very dark floors and no rugs yet, so there was dust everywhere. This actually picks up all the dust. It's amazing. Picks up litter, stray carpet from the cats' scratching post, everything. We really have to vacuum daily around here because of pets and renovation work, and now it isn't a huge pain. For upholstery and stairs, try their Pet Hair Eraser hand vac. Bissell is my new favorite!
Finally found the one!
April 16, 2016
I love this vacuum. I have two cats and they use the Cat Genie--if you're familiar with it, it's an awesome self-cleaning cat box. The box is amazing, but the cats track these little granules all over the place. I have hardwood floors so I find them everywhere! I also have a long-haired cat with very fine hair (Norwegian Forest Cat) so that also gets into every crack and crevice, and tends to want to stick there! These are my first hardwood floors, so I have spent a fair amount of money on different vacuums and cleaners--a lot of it wasted. This was not a waste of money! This is the one! It cleans up the hair, the dust and the granules without any problem. The cord is long enough where it's not annoying, the power is strong enough for what I need. I like the fact that the front it split so I can get the corners! Now if it would only clean the floors itself when I'm at work. ;)
A great little vacuum
February 14, 2016
This is the perfect little vacuum. I live in a small apartment with hardwood and tile flooring with two long hair cats. It's fairly quiet so I don't have to worry about using it at odd times and waking up my neighbors which is good since I work odd hours and can't always clean during normal "awake" hours. The cord is long enough that I don't have to move outlets constantly and the light build and swivel head make it very easy to maneuver. I was concerned about the suction power as my old vacuum was a beast. While this vacuum doesn't come close to the power of my old one, it's more than adequate as long as the filter is clean, a lot of that is because of the squeegie/funnel design, it's really good it picking everything up.

I was worried about the squeegie blades before I ordered it. Were they sticky rubber that would grab the floor and make it hard to push? Were they so firm that they'd catch on the small nail heads that stick up occasionally on my beat up old floors? After getting the vacuum I'm happy to say that they're a fairly medium density rubber that doesn't stick too much and is also very pliable. The continuous blade in the rear is backed by a hard piece of plastic at about half it's depth that prevents it from bending too far back and adds some stiffness, as is the center of the front blade, while the edges of the front blade can bend more freely. This allows it to be pushed over the occasional small nail heads and even my beveled door sills without getting hung up or damaged.

The only thing that this vacuum doesn't have is a detachable hose, if they ad that in a future version I'd buy the new one.
LIFE CHANGER!!
November 6, 2015
This vacuum is a LIFE CHANGER!!! Last Christmas we redid our floors. We were so so excited to get rid of our carpet and replace it with some laminate. Since we've never done this before we didn't make the wisest choose in color or finish. And we went with near black/high shine. PALM TO FOREHEAD. We have 3 dogs and a toddler. Immediately after installation we realized our grave mistake. We had a shark vacuum which we loved for the carpet but it was so freaking bulky and didn't pick up all the dust particles. I started searching. I almost bought a Roomba but I think my husband would have killed me for spending anymore money. So I read reviews for this and have it a shot. It changed our lives. This thing picks up EVERYTHING. Every speck of dog hair and dander and dryer fuzz particles. I mean everything. It's incredible. I'd pay $500 for this thing. We've had it for nearly a year and we use it every. Single. Day. Sometimes twice a day. If you're contemplating this vacuum and in a similar situation as us. Do it. You will not regret it. Your life will change! I recommend this thing to everyone who will Listen to me!! I'm now really glad we picked such terrible floors because now our house is always super clean.
This Vacuum Sucks More Than This Awful Pun!
July 8, 2015
I paid 30 for a refurbished - I actually forgot it was refurbished/used until I noticed a small scuff and then remembered that that scuff saved me $20+ bucks. this replaces a broom basically - don't expect it to do anything a broom couldn't do ( It works great on our pergo floor - picks up dog food, pet hair, dirt and dust. there are a few gripes - the red top filter; for whatever reason its a PitA to line the threads up and put back on. just needlessly difficult, always misaligned. Also, I lost suction this morning and had to fumble around with it for awhile to release whatever it was that blocked it up. There appears to be a way to take the head off so that the user could remedy any blockages but I couldn't figure it out***. Also, I feel like the tabs that the cord winds around could be easily broken if you aren't careful. Other than that, this thing has been amazing - for $30 and delivered to my home...it gets used a lot more than the swifter and a lot more economical as well as effective.

***UPDATE: SO The head piece does in fact come off - its just a little tricky. push the white tab at the base and then lift the black latch around front at the opposite side, careful not to snap it off. from there you have access to everything else! Now that I know how to do that - I'm still pretty pleased with this thing - its for light cleaning so don't over do it, but for hair and dirt its pretty great and more effective than sweeping stuff around.
Our short hair dog SHEDS LIKE NOTHING I've ever seen
October 18, 2014
O M G !

I'm a newly minted Mr. Mom of about 3 years now. (Though that is another story.) Given that I AM NOW THE ONE "Cleaning" everything in the house, I have a new found appreciation for all the stay at home Mom's. Cleaning the whole house IS THE BANE of my existence! That and a 15 year old daughter........
I'll tell you something... I don't write a lot of reviews. But this vacuum deserves EVERY FREAKING 5 Star review it gets! Our short hair dog SHEDS LIKE NOTHING I've ever seen! IMPOSSIBLE TO KEEP UP WITH! Our house HAS NO CARPET. So I've been "sweeping" (DUH!) for 3 years now. I just vacuumed the bulk of what I normally "sweep" in about a 1/4 of the TIME! Plus this thing gets UNDER EVERYTHING! Along THE EDGE OF EVERYTHING! And the V shape let's you get into places that you just COULD NEVER GET TO! It has... Awesome Power/Suction... Easy as pie to use and empty! Very well built! A STEAL AT Fifty Bucks! Works FANTASTIC! The only slight negative is the power cord is just a tad short.. NO BIG DEAL! Just add a 25 or 50 ft extension cord. If you are contemplating this? Or "On the fence?" JUST GO AHEAD AND AND BUY IT! This thing is a MAJOR TIME SAVER!!! And works on ANY HARD FLOOR! I'm beyond impressed!

Just amazing.

Not even kidding, this is the best thing I have found to get rid of my dogs hair in my house. And I have tried it all, I'm pretty sure. I have a Shiba Inu, which sheds daily and also blows his coat twice a year... And all of my couches are a dark gray fabric (my dog is tan) and oh my gosh so much hair always. I even have the Shark vacuum with a pet hair attachment and this works sooooo much better.
Fantastic Price:Performance Ratio
February 14, 2017
I have a Pembroke Welsh Corgi that leaves absurd amounts of hair on our couches, where he often sleeps. I don't have the heart to keep him off, so I've been searching for a better solution than lint rollers or physically lifting my upright vacuum onto the couch.Enter Bissell's Pet Hair Eraser. I was skeptical that the rubber brush attachment was a good idea--wouldn't it collect hair and resist the suction? Nope. This thing powers through couch hair. Often, only a single swipe is needed, which makes for a quick job. There was hardly any hair stuck to the brush--all of it ended up inside the dust container, which is super easy to detach, empty, and clean. After a couple minutes on the sectional couch, I switched to the dog bed. Same story--with single swipes, I was able to rake up and suck up all the hair simultaneously.I'm very happy with what I paid, and what I got. This is a perfect accompaniment to our upright vacuum, and the plastic attachment for couch crevices sweetens the deal.
Holy Cow!
September 18, 2016
Wow. Where do I even begin? I've been looking for something to clean up the hair left behind by my three darling kitties for a while. I've got a couple of good handheld things, one that's about 15 pounds, corded, and has a roller brush (so it's got to be good, right?) and one small & basic cordless one - obviously the heavy one with the roller brush did the best but still left a lot to be desired so I went looking for one that would actually get all the hair off my couch, bedspread, and the cat tree that used to be beige but now looks like a gorilla (to use the words of another reviewer) thanks to my two grey kitties and one black kitty and their hair. I knew the cat tree would be asking a bit much of anything, with two years worth of black and grey hair, but nothing I've tried on it so far has helped and I'll try anything.I looked and looked, and read lots of reviews. I was looking for another with a roller brush because what else could possibly pick up the hair? Needed to be corded so it would have the most power, advertise that it was for pet hair, etc. But this one kept popping up. Corded, good, but no roller brush, it can't be that good. Nothing but suction and a rubber head (really? Talk about low-tech). But it had the best reviews of anything similar so I ordered it, expecting to use it a time or two, be disappointed, and return it. Maybe it would at least clean my bedspread and my couch.Holy Cow! One pass on my couch left nothing behind - amazing! My bedspread is an odd fabric so it took two or three passes to get everything off of it but it got it! It's never gotten that clean before even after vacuuming AND running it through the washer and dryer. I hit the bedskirt while I was at it and learned again what color it was when I bought it (kitties love going under the bed and of course leave their signature on the bedskirt when they go under it). Then there was nothing left but the cat tree. The hideous, mostly grey cat tree.My only regret is that I did not take a "before" picture of the cat tree for comparison. You'll just have to trust me when I say it was grey before. Now I can't say it just took a couple of passes to get it this way - I worked at it - but still not as much as I thought I'd have to. I'll post two photos of the cat tree and what the Pet Hair Eraser pulled out of it. That is all of what I got off the rest of my furniture as well, but since I clean everything but the cat tree regularly, everything there except maybe the size of a spherical quarter came from the cat tree.I have no idea how this happened with just some suction and a rubber head. Perhaps there is some sort of black magic at work here? Either way, this one is a keeper. I've seen $40-$100 vacuums at the homes of friends that didn't pick up this well. Don't be as quick to judge this one by it's appearance as I was. If it can make my grey cat tree beige again, anything is possible.
THE RAVE REVIEWS AREN'T LYING!
March 10, 2015
Holy crap!! Are you skeptical when it comes to buying stuff online? ME TOO! That's why I figured all of these rave reviews were a crock of crap. I've seriously bought every kind of vacuum out there, including the Rumba, which is about as intelligent as a q-tip. But I have 4 cats and a Golden Retriever, so I was getting desperate! I believe the saying is… a picture is worth a thousand words. Check mine out! Of note - the "before" picture was taken of my dog's bed AFTER it went through the washer & dryer. Look at all of that left behind hair!!! And the "after" picture was taken after only THREE MINUTES spent vacuuming her bed. I. Am. SOLD! BTW, I've NEVER taken the time to review a product before, just FYI.
It Works - Great for Cat Stands
April 1, 2012
Bought this to clean their cat stand which was turning into a gorilla. Was somewhat skeptical but this worked perfectly and easily. I uploaded the pictures so you can see it yourself
Great product if you use it for what it's made for...
December 14, 2011
I read a ton of the reviews on here before purchasing the Bissell Pet Hair Eraser. After receiving the product and using it for the first time, I have to agree with the positive reviews and I want to clarify a couple of the negative reviews. It seems that the biggest complaints against this vacuum are that (1) the cord is too short, (2) it blows air out the side, and (3) it just creates clumps of air without sucking them up. Now, I will explain why if you use the Bissell Pet Hair Eraser for erasing pet hair from your upholstery, then you will not have any of those problems. First, I can vacuum my entire couch (which is a sectional that takes up half of my living room) from one outlet. Based on the reviews, I was expecting the cord to be no more than a few feet long, but it is substantially longer than that and I had no problem reaching the entire couch. Second, the vacuum does blow air out of the sides, which understandably is annoying if you're trying to pick up crumbs from under the kitchen table (as I read in one review). However, if you use the vacuum for erasing pet hair from your upholstery, you won't have that problem. I tried using it on my hard wood floors just to see if the complaints were valid, and they were. Obviously, however, I didn't buy a handheld vacuum to clean my hard wood floors. I bought it to get the pet hair out of my couch. And for that, it works like a charm. Third, and related to the second complaint, the vacuum does not just create clumps of hair unless you're using it on a hard surface, which (in my opinion and so far in practice) is not what it was designed to do. And even if it does blow some loose dirt onto the floor, I always clean my couch before sweeping my floors so that wouldn't be a problem anyway. To sum it all up, if you use the Pet Hair Eraser for erasing pet hair from your furniture such as couches, ottomans, and other fabrics, which is what I need it for, the product is amazing. I have a cat who loses fur every time you touch her and I have a dog with medium length fur that basically has needle point ends (literally, his hair has embedded itself into the bottom of our feet) so it is impossible to get it out of our fabric couch. I've tried everything, and nothing has satisfied my OCD need for cleanliness. Until the Bissell Pet Hair Eraser. If you buy it with the intention of using it for needs like mine, you won't be disappointed.

Not THE best, but works fine and does what I wanted it to (pick up larger food/craft items on the hard floor)
December 30, 2016
I like the design for getting around legs of furniture and end edges of furniture, but it is harder to use in an actual corner. It also does not work on carpet AT ALL. It also does not pick up fine particles like glitter. I have to use my general vac for that. However, it does pick up small hard candy like MNM's and food like peas. I have had other hard floor sweepers that worked better in corners and picked up even glitter, but those were cordless and all three of them stopped holding a charge within a year. Soooo... here we are with a corded one (not preferred, but I feel it necessary after three failed cordless). Happy enough with it and didn't want to spend more money, so... happy with it for what it is.
Favorite stick vacuum for tile floor
December 10, 2016
I bought this for the tile in my kitchen and love it. The 'V" shape did take a little getting used to, but once you figure out how to use it, it works amazing for getting the edges and corners. It has picked up dirt, crumbs, larger items like popcorn and cut up pieces of paper and everything else that has ended up on my floors. The suction seems powerful. The cord length is nice and long. Cleaning it is as easy as emptying the canister. Would definitely buy again, but it seems like this is going to hold up for quite a while!
you are not going to believe it @ this $$
December 1, 2016
unbelievable vacuum for the price! I would have given it 5 stars if the cord wasn't so darn short. but that would be my only complaint. works amazingly great on my wood floors & ceramic tile floors! we live in the desert and it seems like the floors are always dirty, love this quick easy vacuum to clean them right up.
Very good but very specific purpose
April 23, 2016
It's great for what it is designed to do.

1. It DOES NOT WORK on carpeting. I mean not at all -- I am a pretty strong guy and it won't budge on medium to thick carpeting so don't even think about it.

2. It will work on flat outdoor style carpetting (e.g., runners with rubber backing).

3. It has very good pickup power on tiling. It handles errant pieces of dog food fine.

4. It is light.

5. They added additional manueverability that allows you to turn the vacuum 30-40 degrees with a flick of the wrist.

6. They added the "V" shape to the front so it gets in corners fine.

7. The thing to get the head of the vacuum down is kind of at the bottom -- you have to bend down to get to it -- which is a pain. The small things we bi*&^ch about, right?

8. Very easy to empty.

Very light.
Love this vacuum for an inexpensive, light weight and quick solution for picking up dog hair
April 15, 2016
Love this vacuum for an inexpensive, light weight and quick solution for picking up dog hair. Works great on kitchen floor, picking up after my Springer Spaniel (sheds heavily). Have to get used to the rubber blades instead of brushes; doesn't work on carpet (which it's not designed to do); have a little difficulty maneuvering the edge of the vac along a straight wall as the video shows (but DOES work fine); the "V" shape really does help to gather up all of the dog hair. In addition, I did a test to determine the effectiveness of cleaning up against the bottom/sides of the dog crate - after which I swept the same area with a broom, and no extra debris. The 20-ft cord is a little shorter than some of the others, but should fit most kitchens OK. I opted for the corded model so as not to be bothered with charging, how long it's been running, etc.

Only real issue is vacuuming against the back wall under the desk - which is cumbersome and doesn't always get everything. All in all - very happy with my $50 solution.
Decent product, seems well built and has great suction - great for pet hair, but...
May 14, 2015
I bought this to replace my wife's swiffer. We have a large house with a lot of hardwood and two German Shepherds. She seems to constantly be changing swiffer pads and then having to pick up the little piles with a papertowel. She was initially excited and approved of the purchase. Unfortunately she only used it for a week and then went back to her swiffer.

The Vacuum itself is great. It swivels great to get in all the nooks and crannies, it has a long cord, and great suction and does especially well on the edges. The quality seems decent, it seems well built, I am not concerned about it scratching the floors, and like I said - it has great suction. It's a luxury item though and outside of the convenience factor, there's nothing this can do that my Kirby can't already do.

Her issues compared to the swiifer is she likes to listen to the TV when she swiffers and this vacuum is VERY LOUD especially echoing off the hard wood and the walls. She also prefers changing swiffer pads to winding and unwinding the cord and then moving the plug around when she changes rooms.

This review is for the product itself and it's a four star product. If my wife was to rate this compared to the swiffer, should give this a three star rating.

Good pet hair removal
June 24, 2017
This is better than I expected. Please expect a physical work out as it is just gripping fingers on the end of the vacuum that you scrub over and over to pull hair out and then get sucked up. Great on tighter upholstery weave and fabrics. If you have a really fuzzy interior, like my Ford Escape rear hatch, keep expectations low as most of the hair will remain.I like the filtration system and the way it cleans up. I have 2 very hairy dogs Labradors have barbed fur, impossible to get out of some upholstery. A good tip would be to get item really clean and then get on a schedule so it's not so overwhelming as this product does work well. I have other Bissell products so this was a plus to add to my battle with pet maintenance.
and it's easy to clean with a little soap and water
September 11, 2016
I use this for my cat-tree and any upholstery that has cat hair.Pros:- The end rubber attachment is way easier to clean than any roll-brush device. I've had two pet roll-brush attachments, and they all get inundated with pet hair. No hair gets stuck on this rubber attachment, and it's easy to clean with a little soap and water.- Gets job done mostly.- Good price.Cons:- Even though other devices gets stuck with a lot of hair, I still feel roll-brush devices clean upholstery better. It could be because there's other things like dust and such, which this Bissell isn't specifically designed for, but overall it doesn't clean as well as other vacuums I've tried.- Didn't clean crevices of my cat-tree as well as I'd hoped for.- Motor quite loud.Overall I am satisfied with this product. I would recommend focusing on pet hair areas, instead of relying on it to clean everything.
Couldn't handle my furry furniture.
July 13, 2016
It's just okay. It has a rubbery nozzle that serves to pull the hair up so the vacuum can suck it in. Basically working like a rubber squeegee plus vacuum in one. It does not have a rotating brush or anything like that, just the rubbery end.I have a lot of pets and have two pieces of upholstered furniture that were really bad choices for a pet hairy household. I was really looking for something that would be quick and easy to use but also very effective to get all that darn hair up. My previous approach was to use the beater brush on my canister vac but that's awkward, tough to get the edges / crevasses / trim and I worry the beater brush for rugs is going to beat the heck out of the furniture. However, with this new one I have to rub the nozzle really hard on the upholstery to try and scrape up the hair and even working at it a lot harder than I am willing to do regularly (which wholly defeats the purpose!) it still doesn't do nearly as good a job as the canister vac so I've put it away and gone back to my previous approach.i still gave it four stars because i suppose it does what it says it does, just not up to my very high standards to correct my very low standards in keeping my furry critters off the furniture
Recommended for purpose it is intended
May 16, 2016
this vacuum has a 16 foot power cord so it reaches a reasonably long enough distance. The soft nozzle does an amazing job picking up pet hair from upholstery and floor, etc. It is effective, but not perfect, on carpet and I used it on an old comforter my cats sleep on and got good, but not great results. You have to push on the device a little to get the soft nozzle to maneuver and pick up hair. A really sticky fabric like microfiber or a lot of hair will not resist. As to the hard nozzle, I haven't figure out yet what I would use it for but it did not work on carpet.Overall I would recommend this device because I mainly wanted it for furniture and to some extent, carpet.
AMAZING guinea pig cage cleaner! Pet hair eraser, NOT!
December 18, 2014
I purchased this primarily for guinea pig cage cleaning. I use fleece bedding and have to clean two 3x3 C&C cages a day. It was a pain in my back (literally) to try and sweep out both of their cages every day. This little guy helps out so much! It only takes the time I used to spend cleaning one cage with the sweep method to clean both! I don't have to stretch as much because this reaches the rest of the way for me. It's perfect for getting in the corners and it's also very good at picking up hay which I was not expecting. The only problem with letting it pick up the hay is that I end up having to dump it more often when it's the longer strands of hay that it sucks up. No problem there though, I use gloves to pick up though strands. It is a bit more noisy than I would've have thought but it's a pretty powerful vacuum so I can deal with that. I just make sure my boys are enjoying playpen time in the other room and I close my bedroom door to muffle the sound because they both are frightened by the sound. The cord is long enough so that I can clean both of their cages, reaching all the way to the back (40+ inches) without having to unplug it. The cord hasn't tangled up on me and it doesn't get stuck on grid connectors or zip ties.As for the pet hair eraser, I don't use that attachment in my boys' cages. They are short haired pig's and honestly I don't see the need to worry about cleaning their hair up as much because it is their living space so it'll always there. The other attachment I use does a pretty good job at sucking up their fur so I don't bother with the pet hair attachment here. But, I have a dog who has white fur that gets one EVERYTHING! She is spoiled and enjoys lounging on the couch and love seat (my mom has her so spoiled that they have a special nap time blanket they share that stays on the couch). I used the pet hair attachment on the cloth couch (the main collector of her fur) and honestly it doesn't do much better than the hose attachments from our Hoover Vacuum. If I had purchased mainly for that feature I'd feel like I got ripped off.I built the 3x3 cages though so they could have some extra cage space but my bedroom space is limited so it's a trade off to give them extra living space and making cleaning harder on myself but I'm happy their happy.
Great For Pet Hair Removal From Furniture and Fabrics
August 14, 2011
This little vacuum is a beast when it comes to getting rid of pet hair that's clinging to almost everything in my home. I have 4 cats, 2 with barely there hair, one with super long, fine hair and one with hair so thick that if he lays in one spot for more than 10 seconds he leaves a uniform layer of hair in the shape of his body. I bought the Bissell Pet Hair Eraser (Handheld Vacuum, Corded 33A1) to give me some much needed relief from the constant and exhaustive workouts of using fabric brushes (the only thing that actually works) to get that pet hair off my furniture, their cat beds, our beds and everything else that is fabric related in our house and it works absolutely great in that respect. I gave this product 4 stars because it's not perfect, but then again, what is?The Pros:1)It makes minimal work of pet hair on fabric type surfaces. Probably the only machine that picks up hair so completely as I have tried many, only to hit the area afterward with my manual, handheld fabric brush and come up with enough hair to warrant me going over everything I just vacuumed again with that darn brush. But not the Pet Hair Eraser. When I used this product the first time and attacked with my fabric brush afterward, nothing but pure smiles.2) It's handheld and portable which makes breaking it out extremely convenient, hassle and mobility free. Plus it doesn't take up any more space than a shoebox.3) It's corded, so there's enough suction power to do any job for any length of time necessary.4) It's super easy to dump any hair accumulation while you're cleaning to ensure that suction power remain hearty and super easy to clean afterward.5) It has a HEPA filter, which is not a common feature in a handheld system and it keeps all that dander and dust from escaping right back into the air.6) It has this nifty, rubberized fabric attachment that just manipulates the hair out of the fabric.7) With the suction power this baby has it quickly and easily picks up most heavy duty messes with ease. I don't know what kind of party is happening around my cats food dishes and litter boxes when I'm not looking but this vac sucks up that daily overflow in less than 3 minutes.8) The price ... need I say more! The Cons:1) The awkward side venting on the Pet Vac body blows heartily and makes it difficult to pick up anything that isn't weighted. If you try to pick up pet hair from a hard, non-fabric surface or worst yet, powder from a vanity (never again!) it blows the stuff around before you even get near it. Yea, there are those reviewers who say it's just about the way you hold the vac but who wants to pre-think a strategy every time you go to use it on a lighter mess. If pet hair on fabric surfaces or heavy duty messes aren't your primary reasons for getting this vacuum, then you should consider another handheld.2) It's kind of heavy and the handle is awkward and uncomfortable, especially if you have small hands or weak wrists. I constantly find myself twisting my wrists and switching hands to get a good angle when going over a surface. However, I do find this a tolerable sacrifice for the overall power and functionality of the vac.3) That nifty rubberized attachment I praised as a "pro" earlier is also a con, as it is somewhat harsh on fabric surfaces if you're not mindful of the amount of pressure you exert. The attachment is a soft rubber with nodules on it and it more or less grips and pulls at the individual strands of pet hair embedded in the fabric, which also means it's pulling at the weave of the fabric as well. I find that keeping a softer level of pressure and using long, directional strokes diminishes any harm you can do to the fabric. I mention this only because when I'm in a hurry I have a tendency to exert much more pressure and move the vac multi-directional and it is apparent that this method is harsh on the weave of the fabric. However, it's easy enough to catch myself and stop hitting the task like a crazy person.4)The cord is a little short but this by no means diminishes the overall effectiveness of the Pet Hair Eraser. But, if you have larger rooms you may find yourself having to plug into more than one outlet when using the vac.Overall, this is a great handheld vac for anyone who has pets. I think of the sheer amount of time and exertion of energy it took to clean up all that pet hair before the Pet Hair Eraser. Over the years I have tried so many different types of full, medium and handheld vacuums just to try and get the same effect I do when using a manual fabric brush. The pros of this vac deeply outweigh any cons because what used to take me literally hours to do, day after day, using my full size vacuum and specialized "pet hair attachment tool," inevitably followed by a manual fabric brush ... now takes under 30 minutes with the Pet Hair Eraser. If you're sick and tired of the sheer amount of time and energy it takes to clean up your pets hair, get this vac and be done with it!

Great for pet hair pickup but not so great for the user's lungs.
April 20, 2017
It's more than okay in terms of power, and how well it picks up all my long-haired cats' fur that tends to drift around the place, as well as all the shredded stuff off their scratching posts. It's also not too terribly loud, and I live in a partially adobe, fully stucco'd house with all ceramic tile floors that turns everything into something 2-4x louder than it feels like it should be.

I also had no problems with using it along wall edges, the weird-shaped head seems to really do its job well, and it IS super lightweight which is also very nice.

However, despite using the microlined filters and so on, it really releases a lot of very fine dust back into the air, and the exhaust, placed as it is pretty much on the front top of the vacuum, means that as you're following it along, you're walking right into everything it has expelled at around face level, especially if you aren't terribly tall.

And worse, if you bend forward, like to real quick shove a curtain out of the way or something, it pretty much is right up in your face. This might not be too terrible for people not living in desert environments where there is a lot of fine dust, but it had me coughing and wishing I'd put a face mask on before using it, and I'm lucky nothing got in my eyes. I'm positively ill even a good fifteen minutes later and coughing from all the fine dust I inhaled, and my house smells like a sandstorm.
Not crazy about it
July 30, 2016
I bought it because of all the great reviews it had. A testament to: just because it's popular doesn't mean t's as good as people claim. The vacuum is good at picking up dirt/dust wherever you run it, but it doesn't pick up any surrounding dirt as the advertisement states the V look should do. I try to vacuum the corners and edges of my apartment and it does not pick up any of the dirt. I have to follow up with a broom which is what I was trying to avoid. The vacuum would be better if it had an extension to pick up dirt in the hard to reach places. I do use it on ceramic floors.
Maneuvering Difficulty Negates Power
September 17, 2015
This vacuum was almost a great idea, but someone needs to go back to the drawing board and work out a better overall design. It does have three great features: (1) powerful suction—surprisingly powerful for a lightweight stic vac, actually; (2) a V-shaped head for angling around corners; and (3) squeegee type flaps on the bottom instead of a beater bar (rolling brush) to help pull in loose dirt, hair and debris. The problem is, the latter two features actually work against each other, making it very difficult to maneuver.

The V-shape of the squeegees on the bottom causes the vacuum to skid rather than move smoothly. I have to pivot the handle sideways and vacuum at an angle just to get it to glide correctly in one direction (which gets aggravating, and is taxing on the wrist). Then after about two or three strokes, I usually have to lift it up and place it back down on the floor in the direction/angle I need it to go.

The powerful suction does *somewhat* compensate for the lack of maneuverability, but not enough so that I would recommend buying this vacuum. What good is power if you can't move the vacuum around?
The wheels are made like they were meant for a toy
August 30, 2015
Used it just a few times so far. It does pick up the dirt and dog hair well, but its just seems very cheap. The wheels are made like they were meant for a toy, which makes absolutely no sense to me for a vacuum of this type. The noise from the cheap wheels and rubber front end scraping on the floor make it sound like I'm scratching it all up. It also makes the maneuvering more awkward - not smooth at all. I've reached down more than once to check the surface of the wheels to make sure the outer rubber layer on them is sufficient to keep from scratching the floor. I suppose it is, but its very thin, and on very cheap plastic wheels.

I've also realized that it's difficult to get under couches and other furniture with it because you cannot vacuum straight up against the wall with the front end. I have to move the couch to get along the edge of the floor by the wall. Not sure yet if I'm going to keep this one.
Adequate
January 31, 2014
Pros:
Good power given its lightweight.
Convenient to grab and go compared to a full sized upright. Gets small crumbs better than a broom.
Good value.
Sucks up moderately dense, 1/2" sized dry food pieces when they reach the center of the head, but they sometimes have to be encouraged by hand. Larger pieces don't fit.
The edge cleaner gets small stuff well, better than our upright.

Cons:
The right side wheel (when viewed from the perspective pictured) does not roll freely. It has loosened up with use but still occasionally binds and impedes pushing and pulling motion.
The "V" shaped head prevents cleaning the floor completely up to the baseboards when pushing it perpendicular them. This requires a second pass parallel to the baseboard. This requires extra motion and time and is aggravating.
Not as maneuverable as we would like. It has a large turning radius.
The cord is too short. We have to unplug and move to the next outlet to finish vacuuming.

We wanted something that would replace a broom and dustpan but would be more convenient that lugging out a full sized vacuum. This does fit that need; we leave it out ready for service in a corner in the pantry making it easy to grab and go. We had recently purchased the PowerFresh steam mop and were impressed enough with its performance to stay with the Bissell brand. Unfortunately this vacuum does not impress.

We have many small areas that require easy maneuverability to get too. Our bare floor attachment on our upright glides easily over the hardwood on bristles making this task easy. This vacuum has rubber on hard plastic wheels. It does not glide or move easily laterally. To cover the area immediately to the right or left of the head requires the user to retract the vacuum toward oneself and the push it away toward the area one wants to cover. This may not seem too much of an inconvenience but when there are a lot of small areas like this cover, it becomes a time consuming chore.

The "V" shaped head works as advertised to direct dirt toward the center of the vacuum head where it can be sucked up. But this only works well in large areas. The user has to push it forward several feet to get large crumbs into the center. What happens when one runs out of floor space? One has to bend over and push it by hand. Our upright's bare floor attachment doesn't blush at an oncoming wall. If it has not gotten it by the time it reaches the wall, it will get it at the wall by covering it and concentrating its suction power on the offending debris. The upright's bare floor attachment is straight, not a "V" design. This vacuum can leave them at the baseboard and requiring a parallel pass to get them.

Despite these few gripes, it still works well enough to find a place in our home.

Equally Great and Terrible...
April 26, 2017
I purchased this based on the rave reviews from other buyers. I agree, it's phenomenal for removing pet hair. That's mainly due to the removable rubber attachment that "scrapes" hair away from surfaces. I never realized how much pet hair was lying around until I used this. However, I bought it thinking it would have many different uses in my home... I was wrong.I remember reading another buyer's question "is this just good for pet hair or does it work on other types of dirt, too?". I thought, what a silly question...It's a vacuum, of course it's good for "all dirt". I quickly found out that's not true. The vacuum has powerful exhaust blowers on each side of the unit. The manufacturer, in their infinite wisdom, decided to direct the blowers downward, which pushes lighter dirt away from the unit (blowing it everywhere, making messes and preventing it from being sucked up at all). So, this CANNOT be used as a DustBuster. Essentially, it's limited to pet hair cleanup. I was disappointed to uncover such a silly design flaw because it does have some great characteristics, such as being lightweight, having an ergonomic handle and having powerful suction. If you're looking for a pet hair miracle, this is for you. If you expect to also use it for other things, this is NOT for you.
Clogs and doesnt have a rotating brush
April 9, 2017
The story is, I'm returning this.Pro's:Light weightEasy to cleanLong cordAdequate motorThe openings on top and bottom make it easy to vacuum the upstep of the stairsCon'sNo brush, just a rubber nozzle that gets clogged, constantly,It get hotHandle feels backwardsTo clean effectively, you've got to man handle itIt blows out the sides- a lot...more than mostI'll start this by telling you I have 2 dogs that she'd constantly and it had been a long time since I vacuumed my stairs. Even my Dyson has trouble keeping up. The rubber end is ultimately what combs the carpet to pull carpet hair and suck it up. After 3 stairs, I'd look up and see spots that I missed only to realize it was again clogged. I suppose this is easier than dealing with a brush but without a moving brush, this thing doesn't stand a chance. There are openings on the top and bottom of the rubber end which make it easy to vacuum the vertical portion of the stairs.I tried this on my hardwoods and it was alright but the texture on the rubber caught the hair which didn't allow it to be sucked back up.I will be returning this for the eureka vacuum I debated getting before this.
Perfect for the job
January 6, 2017
This thing works extremely well. The only thing I don't like about it is that I have to bend all the way down to the ground to reach something rather than having an extended handle or something to use. Also it doesn't have anything you can hang it up with-- I'd like to attach it to the wall somehow. It's bulky & a bit hard on you ( having to bend & squat to reach) if you're getting older like me, but is powerful to get up cat hair and cat litter on a consistent basis. Very glad I purchased it. Helps me keep the mess from my two cats under control! It works great also with the attachment to get hair off of furniture.
and the filter got dirty really fast
January 25, 2016
I used it to clean my guinea pig cage. It was really loud, and the filter got dirty really fast, I tried to clean it but it didn't work and it wouldn't suction, so I used a paper towel instead (which worked great!) However when it came to sucking up hay and straw it got plugged really easily. Also cleaning it out is hard, As you have to take off the container which for me would get stuck, then come off quickly and then fling pig poo and hay and hair every where causing a bigger mess than when I started.
Not as great as I thought it would be
October 22, 2015
Not as great as I thought it would be, especially based on the rave reviews. I tried it on my couch and a chair. It hardly picked up my cats' hair; mostly just pushed it around. I've had better luck using textured, rubber work gloves to 'rake' the hair into a pile, then remove it by hand or vacuum. Duct tape also works pretty well, but that takes a long time. The cored length is good and it's easy to hold, but I wasn't impressed with it's ability to pick up hair.
Good for upholstery, not the best for carpeted stairs
July 23, 2014
This little vacuum works fairly well for upholstery and the cord is very long so you don't have to move the plug constantly. However, I had hoped it would do a better job on our carpeted stairs. Note there is no rotating brush--this vacuum couples suction with a rubber tip for gathering up hair. It does work, but it can be tedious when you have to cover the same patch of carpet several times to really get the hair up, as is often the case. The "power paw" vacuum hose attachments do seem to work better, but every one I've tried quit working within a few months. Here are some pros and cons to consider for carpeted stairs:Pet Hair Eraser Pros: light weight, long cord Cons: often requires multiple passes (slow), need to empty out hair frequentlyPower Paw (hose attachment) Pros: works very well, emptying infrequent Cons: really noisy, not durable, requires you to lug the vacuum up every few stepsRegular Vacuum Pros: works better and faster than the other options, quieter, emptying infrequent Cons: it's really awkward and heavy to vacuum stairsNote that none of the three does a good job getting into the corners of the steps--the vacuum hose is still the best bet there, although the crevice tool attachment for the pet hair eraser works reasonably well if you also ball up any matter hair with your fingers.

Just ok....probably should have returned it.
May 24, 2017
I had high hopes for this vac. Its not very powerful, emptying the canister is messy and you have to do it every time you vacuum because the canister is too small. It does pick up cat hair...but just so-so on regular dirt and debris on hardwood floors. It barely picks up the 1/2 eaten cat food nuggets that my cats drop next to their bowls. It's fine for a quick touch up to ke it look like you cleaned more recently than you did...but can't replace my broom and dustmop...which was the whol point of owning one.
Really tried to like it but ended up disappointed.
January 21, 2017
I bought this about a year and a half ago and have really tried to like it. Thought I would like the v-shape base feature that allows it to go into corners but it just hasn't measured up. It just doesn't have enough suction to pick up everything and stuff like cat food just seems to get pushed around until you literally pick up the vacuum and put it over the stuff. Cat and dog hair gets caught up in the plastic guides on the bottom and again, you have to pick it up to get it to suck up the hair. Tried to vacuum up some spilled talcum powder the other day and it just wouldn't do the job. Just don't think it has enough suction.

Sincerely disappointed with the vacuum. Think I'm going to order a straight hard floor vacuum without the plastic things on the bottom and without the "V" shaped base.
I Still Had To Pull Out The Big One
January 3, 2016
Ok, so here's the deal. I bought this to pick up dog hair in between my regular vacuuming. This is not going to replace a broom or a regular sized vacuum. With that said, it does pick up dog hair. Anything heavier is left behind. Also, the "V" shape floor piece makes it impossible to get up close to the wall when pushing forward. You have to do a quick twist of your wrist to try to get close to the wall, turning the unit left or right. I don't find this practical. I'm also not so happy with the design for the exhaust. It blows out in front, blowing the dog hair away from the unit and stirring it up into the air.

If you already have a vacuum that has a beater bar you can turn off for floors and attachments, just use that. Chances are-- if you have dog hair on the floor it's also on your shelves, TV, cable box, furniture, etc...

This product didn't help me with vacuuming dog hair. I still had to pull out the big one... and for that, I cannot recommend this product.
For the first 4-5 months I absolutely loved it. The v-shaped head took a few minutes ...
July 25, 2015
I have owned this vacuum now for almost 8 months. For the first 4-5 months I absolutely loved it. The v-shaped head took a few minutes to get used to, but it quickly became my favorite feature of this vacuum. I feel a little spoiled by it now and can't imagine using a flat head vacuum again on my hard floors...it's fantastic for vacuuming around furniture legs and corners.

However...for the past 2-3 months, the suction has just greatly diminished. I empty the canister and clean the filter after every single use...so it's not a problem of anything clogging up the vacuum. It just seemed to continually diminish over a few weeks and now the suction is so light that it will only suck up dust and dog hair that it directly passes over, rather than pulling it in from the sides a bit. This makes for a lot of extra time vacuuming with having to cover every square inch of floor. The first few months of use...I could run it into tight spaces and it would literally suck my dog's hair into the vacuum head...now the tight areas have to be broom swept into the open floor areas in order to vacuum up. For me...it's turned what was once a very impressive little vacuum into a vacuum that feels more like a chore to use on an already undesirable chore (vacuuming).

I don't feel like the suction should be diminishing on a vacuum after such a short period of time and only used a couple times a week...so for me it feels like a bit of a waste of money. Although I really love the v-shape head...I can't see buying another of the same one when I finally give in an purchase another vacuum.
The angle is more of an inconvenient than a benefit
February 18, 2014
As a mom of several rescued dogs that shed year round and live indoors, including two golden retrievers, I was really looking forward to this purchase to help me deal with the madness of living in pet hair. First of all, to be fair of the task at hand and my expectation of the vaccuum, while the dogs do shed tremendously we sweep daily and vaccuum regularly so the floor is typically clean but with the inevitable clumps of hair that form and fly around daily. While the idea of the angle was appealing, I do not like this vaccuum at all; the V shape is more of an inconvenience than a benefit. Picture the V angle, and note that the suction is at the base of the V only and not the "legs", which means that every time you reach a wall the "legs" reach the wall first and prevents the suction from reaching the edge. Therefore to clean along the edge of the wall you have to vaccumm alongside the wall, not facing it, which is inconvenient and not possible in tight spaces. Also where the V should be more useful, such as around furniture legs, if there is hair slighly caught under the furniture it does not suction enough to vaccuum it so I find myself pulling the hair from under the furniture to be able to vaccuum it. As to the overall suction aside from the angle, it does not suction clumps of hair that well unless the suction goes over the clump directly. Also the cord is pretty short, so you will likely not be able to vaccuum more than 200 square feet using the same socket, so a longer cord would be a plus. I decided to keep it to avoid the return shipping cost but unfortunately it does not meet my expectations.

Suction alone isn't getting that hair out.
February 17, 2017
I was so excited to get this little fella! I have 2 dogs that shed like crazy and silly me, bought fabric furniture. The reviews were good - great so I thought for sure it would do what I needed it to do. Nope. It does have amazing suction. But there isn't a roll brush on it to comb the hair out of the material. So...unless you have leather couches...that hair isn't coming off easily. I spent 1/2 hour trying to get the hair off of 1 cushion.
Pet Hair, No Eraser
December 14, 2016
I did not like this product. My shepherd/husky mix sheds like no tomorrow and, while I have hardwood floors and my Swiffer does just fine in those areas, I do have carpet on the stairs leading up to my bedroom that is heavily trafficked by my Marley and needed something to handle that area. When I used this, I found that I did just as much work, if not more, than I do with a regular vacuum or just sweeping it with a broom. This may fair well for short haired dogs, or even those that do not shed as much as mine. I had no choice but to send it back.
Serious design flaw. Would not buy again.
August 3, 2016
I have to say I'm really surprised to see how highly rated this vacuum is given that it has what I would consider to be a pretty serious design flaw. If you look at the pictures you will see the air vents are on the side. What you can't tell, however, is that they actually blow the air forwards not straight out or to the back. And the air flow it is blowing out is very strong. So what ends up happening when I go to vacuum up the hair is that it gets blown out of the way rather than sucked up. If the hair is on fabric, it is fine. But when I want to vacuum the hair off my leather couches, much more of it gets blown in to the air than gets sucked up by vacuum. Very disappointing.
It sucks well but it blows without good aim
July 19, 2016
I was pretty excited about this vacuum. When I tried using it, the succing worked efficiently, but the air that blew out of the vacuum blew strongly out to the side... so strongly that the dust and pet dander to the side of the vacuum that I was going to suck up blew away into the air and throughout other areas of my apartment before I could get to them--areas that I had already cleaned with a larger vacuum cleaner. This device could be improved upon by re-directing the air that blows to somewhere directly behind the device and down. Sure, it might blow on you, but it's better than getting everything you were going to vacuum sent up into the air
Not what I hoped for, weak suction!
May 9, 2014
I was ready reviews before buying and a local friend had one and referred me to snag one of these. I am disappointed with the turnout and power of the unit overall. The rubber tipped end piece is great for loosening hair, but not good enough, it still leave plenty of hair stick in the carpet fibers requiring you to really grind and dig at the carpet to loosen it. The plastic tipped piece is not very long so it does not get into the cracks that I need it to, perhaps a longer tip or a bendable attachment would have been better. The cord also does not appear to be long enough on many occasions and my living room is not that bit honestly. The suction is probably the weakest flaw of the unit. With the rubber tip it barely seems to suck the hair in enough especially when the hair is in carpet and not loosened. The Plastic tip suction is bad as well, it seems as if the suction does not generate enough force into the tip opening to actually pull enough hair into the unit. Also as some have mentioned, the vents on the sides blow hot air out and cause loosened hair that has not yet been sucked up to be blown all over the place. I have leather couches in the living room so the hair basically sits on top of the leather and when trying to suck it up the vent just blows it around across the couch or into a corner to where I have to suck it up there instead.Overall I would say to pass on this unit if you can afford to buy something better like a vacuum that already has the attachments for pet hair on it. My current Bissel upright vacuum comes with a hair took but it is so weak that the thing barely sucks the hand tool enough to even spin the rotating drum at all so its worthless. I would once again suggest if you have pets to invest in a decent suction vacuum with a proper pet hair tool. Save the $25 off this item and use that towards the vacuum that has that upgraded took on it. Either way you have to plug the big vacuum as you do with this little unit so other than this being more compact there is really no benefit to this unit as the larger upright vacuum should work better at providing more suction and also not blowing air all over the place causing hair to get thrown everywhere.
Not worth the purchase if you own an actual vacuum.
June 3, 2013
I have two cats who love my couch and the foot of my bed so I need to keep up with removing their fur, and lugging out the vacuum twice a day just wasn't practical. I also felt like it didn't remove all of the hair, so I was constantly using a cat brush and a lint roller. When I saw the reviews for this little thing it sounded perfect!Upon arrival I happily brought it over to the couch & tried it on a cushion; so far, so good. It seemed to pick up a good amount of hair from one of the cat's favorite sleeping spots. I tried to go over the arm rests, and it wasn't really picking up anything. The main problem, as far as I can see, is that the pink rubber attachment on the front that has the nubs to pick up the hair has a long hole on both the top and the bottom....and therefore very little suction. If I hold a finger over the top hole, it picks up more hair, but still no more than my regular vacuum, so I'm still there with my lint roller and brush. If you don't have need for a vacuum and you just want this little guy as a dustbuster, I guess the hair attachment is a bonus, but for me it's a waste of money and space.

Pass on this one!
April 21, 2017
I bought this because of the positive reviews - should have returned it right away but thought I was just being fussy and needed to use it a while and get used to it. NOT. In a busy household this is way too small and not nearly strong enough suction. Difficult to tilt from upright position into usable position. If you have a one room apartment with little dirt maybe this will suit you. Otherwise run away!
I do NOT recommend. Mine broke after just a few weeks, less than ten uses.
November 25, 2016
I used this less than ten times. For no reason at all, the head broke free from the canister unit. Since this happened shortly after my return date, both my husband and I tried in vain to repair it but it's proven impossible. I am extremely disappointed.
I know this gets great ratings still
June 6, 2016
I've owned this vacuum for a year now. I had originally given it five stars shortly after purchasing it. I've downgraded it to three. Frankly, it just doesn't pickup anything anymore -- dust, kitty litter, sand, and dirt tracked into the house. I've cleared out the filters and the suction hasn't improved at all. I know this gets great ratings still, but it wasn't money well spent. I'm looking at other options for hardwood floors.

Update 11/2016
Broke just after a year and outside the warranty repair period.
Don't waste your money.
March 8, 2014
Bought this because I have all hard-surface floors and a dog and most of the reviews seemed to be favorable. At this price I didn't expect it to be great quality but it's a piece of junk -- seems like everything is cheap plastic. It's very noisy. It's bagless but it sucked dog hair up into an area above the dirt canister and it's very difficult to remove -- I had to use a little shrimp fork to reach up through a very small opening and pull the hair out! It's totally useless along baseboards and actually unusable on the stairs. Even though it's lightweight it's exhausting trying to maneuver it around the floor -- the head is sort of floppy and seems to go where it wants to go. You have to keep picking it up to shift its position. If you try to vacuum under furniture, the head usually gets stuck and falls off. When it's right on top of something the suction seems to be adequate but it also has a pretty powerful exhaust that's down low on the front (!) and while the vacuum is trying to pick up the dog hair, the exhaust is blowing it around. Do not waste your money on this vacuum.
Inadequate, poorly built, breaks easily, another unhappy "broken handle" customer here, folks!
August 2, 2013
Suction-smuction. Everyone is talking about the great suction. Are any of you paying attention to the notably many issues about the handle breaking off?
Well, trust me. The machine may pick up some dog hair, but it's a cheaply built, slipshod, weak-jointed tool and so please do not waste your time on this. I lost the handle on the second use. I have a small, light-duty bare-floor 900 sq ft area that i need to occasionally sweep. I thought this guy was going to do it. Boy, was I wrong. I am easy on machinery; nevertheless, the handle snapped right off at the screw moulding down inside the base. One reviewer said that he used duct tape after his second machine broke, but that is not good enough. Bissel, you just lost yourselves a customer --and a vociferous one at that. You stuff stinks, plain and simple. Don't ever darken my doorway with your lame products again.

As to my next move, sweep-wise? I will pick something else and let you know how it goes with that one. Hopefully Hoover or one of the other companies
understand (unlike Bissell) the meaning of "durability"

Filter is a bust..
September 7, 2017
It worked great the first couple days.. The vacuum itself has good suction.. Getting the thing back together is a pain in the @##.. First use of it got it on just fine.. Second time no deal.. No matter how I turned it or pushed on it; It wouldn't go on.. If the instructions were a bit more clear than make sure the word TOP is facing top and that its facing outward.. Which I tried and it was no good.. STILL WOULDN'T GO ON.. I TRIED FOR 20 FREAKING MINUTES and finally had to give up.. I do not have the patience to figure out how to get it on.. I would highly not recommend getting this machine take your time and look for one thats way better.. Another con is that it hurts your hand after awhile..
Bad suction
July 20, 2016
Bought this bc of good reviews and wanting something powerful to suck up all the cat hair. Barley picks up anything waste of money 😞
Side Vents should be in the rear...
May 13, 2015
I want to give it 5 stars because it's a great price, cord is long and the suction is amazing. But.... The 2 side vents that blow out air just blow dust and hair everywhere. So when u finish doing your vacuuming, u have to dust all your furniture. It's a major flaw. Don't understand why they didn't pick this up. All they would need to do is put the beat to the rear and good to go...
Epic fail
November 10, 2013
This product is useless. I have a couch that is a woven material similar to linen and the vacuum doesn't pick up any hair. The first time I used this product I was fooled by how powerful it sounded, but then I realized the canister was empty. If I run my hand against the couch I can get the hair to form piles so I know this vacuum is not picking anything up. I was more successful using a groomers mitt to pull the hair into a big pile and then sucking it up with my regular vacuum hose. What a waste of money.

A clean filter is critical to maintain cleaning performance. Over time, filters can become dirty and eventually clog. A dirty or worn filter can diminish the cleaning performance of your vacuum, so it is important to monitor them regularly.

Cleaning Filters: To clean the filter, gently tap it on the edge of the trash can, brushing off anything that may be sticking to the filter.
