Reliable, large screen, bright, no complaints here...
October 11, 2016
1 year later and it's still running strong. I have a basement theater room and I'm not a finatic about clarity, but for the average family it's more than adequate. I've been using projectors for 15 years, even sold them at one point. In this price range it's a good value in terms of price paid for what I got. If we compare it to a 4K projector, of course it's not going to be as good. I would recommend sticking with name brands on projectors. The cheap ones just aren't the same. My last Epson lasted like 5 years of heavy use. I upgrade when the bulbs go. I've never had luck with replacement bulbs. They never seem to last. Plus after 5 years it's time to replace the technology.

I'm throwing the picture like 12 feet and it's over 100 inches. I can't go much bigger because of my wall. The projector could make the picture bigger. It's not a short throw projector, but it seems to throw a large picture at short distance compared to other projectors I've used.
We were using an SVGA 3000 lumen projector for outdoor movies and it was nice but this one blows it away
July 6, 2015
My Wife bought me this projector for Fathers day. We were using an SVGA 3000 lumen projector for outdoor movies and it was nice but this one blows it away!

I created a new 16' x 9' screen from a white tarp and this projector is bright enough on ECO to start the movie even before the sun sets. The colors and clarity are excellent for this price range.

The Epson warranty gives me piece of mind for two years!
The bulbs are pretty affordable, and you don't have to worry about ...
June 9, 2015
Decided to ditch my TV and build a home theater. I bought an Epson EX7230 Pro, which I eventually returned, then purchased this model instead. The two projectors are almost identical, so this is my review for the EX7230 Pro.

This projects a gigantic image onto the wall, and it's very crisp. It can keep up with the ambient light in my living room, even in ECO mode. The bulbs are pretty affordable, and you don't have to worry about the "DLP effect" with this projector.

Unfortunately I returned it, but through no fault of the projector! A week after I bought it, I noticed that Amazon had a factory refurbished Epson 730HD Home Cinema projector for $399, while the EX7230 Pro was $549. It's exactly the same projector, kind of. It's got the same bulb, same 3LCD, same resolution, same brightness, etc.

Now for the differences. The 730HD is white, EX7230 Pro is black. The 730HD only comes with the power cord and remote control, EX7230 Pro adds a case and a VGA cable. The warranty on the 730HD is longer. Also, the software on that model supports some additional features, like picture in picture, MHL and some other things I'm never going to use, so back it went. The 730HD is back up to $499 now though, so if those things are worth it to you (and the loss of one extra year of warranty) go for it!
to hear these the sound has to be completely off an then they are still hard to hear great buy

Have had mine about a week Put it on the coffee table, every one said the fans are loud on projectors, to hear these the sound has to be completely off an then they are still hard to hear great buy
It's Showtime Folks!..
January 14, 2015
I've had previous experience with projectors both high end and low end models. So for $449-I wasn't expecting much. This unit by far exceeded my expectations. Big,bright and clear image. It's not a 1080P projector, but none the less, still an incredible HD image. The 720P resolution still looks amazing (1080i progressively scanned) which is the resolution for HDTV broadcast at a minimum. I'm getting an incredible- high detailed Widescreen picture with projector currently at about 14 feet from screen. The image is approximately 12'X 6'. This is based on the size of room as the entire 12 foot wide wall is taken up by image. Blu ray discs look amazing. The thing that impressed me was how good standard DVDs translated by the projector. I expected the DVD image to look dull and a bit pixelated compared to a Blu Ray image, but that was not the case at all. Video games just envelope the player and the refresh rate is very good. This is an entry level home cinema projector, but that does not mean you will be disappointed. I'm very impressed with the image quality and the feature set of this projector. Replacement lamps are less than $100 too. You WILL have a great home theater experience and not break the bank to make it happen. Contrary to comments I've read here. It runs quiet. Does not run HOT. It cools down very quickly. The built in speaker does an adequate job-not horrible. For GREAT sound, you will need an external source. Does not have a carry case. Comes with power cord and a full function remote control. This is my first EPSON brand projector. I've used others.. I'm sticking with EPSON. The 3LCD chip set has a longer shelf life than DLP projectors do as well. I would very much recomend this projector to anyone.. Quality of image, build quality of projector and feature set. This is probably the best sub $600 unit available. You will feel like you are at "the movies" and isn't that why we want a projector?..

Better way to hide wires!!
June 27, 2017
Does the job for $15. The drywall anchor screws that are included are a little crappy for my tastes. There's 3 holes in the ceiling mount to screw to the ceiling. I got (2) 80 pound drywall anchors ($2). I cut out a larger hole in the middle using a dremel and only used 2 anchors instead of 3. After doing that I was able to run the wires up without cutting anymore holes in the ceiling. I installed the bar on backwards but I still think it looks ok. It takes time and u gotta run wires before u completely assemble it. So be patient.
No Assembly Instructions
November 23, 2015
Mount is very versatile, i.e., includes ability to make many adjustments for positioning projector. Mine arrived w/o assembly instructions, but an inquiry to manufacturer resulted in them being e-mailed to me within minutes. I had to do some tweaking to get bracket to mount onto my Optoma HD28DSE projector, but it in the end it worked fine. One word of caution is that bracket should be located as close to projector's center of gravity as possible. When I first secured bracket to projector it seemed to be in a logical position. But when I lifted projector by bracket I could tell it was "off-center." Fortunately bracket allows for adjustments and I relocated it to get closer to projector's center of gravity.
Well built nice looking bracket
January 13, 2014
Purchased it to hang my awesome 3D projector (benq W1070) which weighs about 5.8 lb. Didn't use the extension as ceiling is about 8 feet only. The mounting bracket has 4 legs, but my projector has only 3 mount points, so I had to remove one leg and adjust other 3. It took me about 20-30 minutes (including the redo time) to set everything up and ready to hang. The instructions were clear.
Shortened it 5 inches, very stable mount
October 20, 2013
The mount was too long, so I cut both of the down tubes 5". So now my projector sits 13" below my ceiling, which negates keystoning with my projector. I bought an Epson 2030 with this mount, and it holds it securely. A little finicky with adjusting, but all good.It is a little brainstorming on how to position the mount arms to correspond to your projector holes. At least it was to me, with the Epson. But in all, this mount holds my projector securely, looks nice and professional.
Not quite universal...
September 18, 2011
This universal projector mount is sadly not quite universal (Unless you ghetto rig it. See bott. It does not have a large enough mounting plate (mounting arms) to fit my projector, an Epson 8700 UB. I did not figure this out until AFTER I put the damn thing together, so do yourself a favor and make sure you try the mounting plate on your projector before you go through the hassle. If you don't, and you follow the order of the instruction manual, you may end up in my position. :(I will say, that after I put the thing together, it was extremely sturdy. I mean, you could kill zombies with it. That said, I did make a minor tweak to its design. On the bottom side of the outer part of the extension piece, I slid a washer between where the inner and outer sections touched on the side with the back plate. It gives you way more washers than you need, and I did this to make one of the three screws stretching the inside portion of the extension more effective at keeping the device sturdy while not poking through the back of the inside back plate. I know that sounds confusing, but if you're looking at the product and trying to put it together, it won't be.Also, the parts that were included did not coincide with what was in the manual in terms of quantity, but that's because the manual has incorrect numbers. All of the parts necessary to install this thing are there. It's really easy to do too.Anyway, I would recommend this if you don't have a gigantic projector. Being that this projector is my first, I didn't really think it was that large. I guess I was wrong.****I DID NOT RETURN THE PRODUCT. I DECIDED TO GHETTO RIG IT BECAUSE IT'S ONE OF THE CHEAPEST MOUNTS ON AMAZON. Because I've seen people hang the Epson 8350 with only 3 screws, I knew this one could be done like that as well. That said, I looked at what pieces it came with, and I decided on doing a 4 hole mount. I was able to achieve this by adding a few additional screws and bolts of my own to connect two of the long legs each to a short leg and then screwing in to the mounting hole on the projector. I'm admittedly not using one of the ideal holes on the projector because a screw broke while trying to reverse it. After trying for way too long with a stripped screw removal tool, I finally gave up on that hole.*******see pictures of the product for pics uploaded by me for how to make this work***
Reliable Mount for Optoma HD66
January 8, 2011
This is a good ceiling projector mount especially for the price. It took me two hours to find a way to make it work for the HD66 but after I messed around with it a bit it fit perfectly and securely. If you have the HD66 look at the picture I added and it will make your life a lot easier when it comes to attaching the mount onto the projector. You will definitely not use all of the parts in the package. After I attached it to the projector the rest was simple.

Inexpensive, Straightforward, and Easy to Use Mount for Benq HT2050 and Other Projectors
August 30, 2017
Somewhat vague instruction sheet but since there is nothing difficult to figure out with this mount installation was very straightforward and easy once I figured out the best location for my projector. Adjustments are self explanatory when looking at the mount and making it fit your particular projector is not difficult because the legs that are used for attaching the projector can move in any direction and several sizes of screws as well as washers are included in the kit.Overall the mount looks nice with a white powder coated finish and zinc plated bolts. It would be nice if they included some sort of caps to cover the lag bolts which are used in my installation to secure the mount to the ceiling. In my case I used two lag bolts that screw through the drywall and into the lumber of the truss. I measured, marked and then drilled a pilot hole for each lag bolt and then screwed them in tightly. It is very solid. Most of the joints on the mount are fitted with nylon washers which allow you to just crack the allen cap screws slightly loose, scoot the mount to make an adjustment and then snug them back down again to hold everything firmly in place. It is simple yet it works surprisingly well. The mount does hang the projector slightly farther from the ceiling than I would have liked but it looks fine.I'm using the Benq HT2050 projector which shines 11ft to a Monoprice motorized 120 inch screen it looks really nice and watching movies is awesome.
Includes everything needed, including the hex wrench.
July 31, 2017
I have temporarily used the mount to place the projector on a floor stand until we can mount it from the ceiling of our church. The plate, normally mounted from the ceiling, was screwed to the top of the stool. I had made an adjustable platen which was always needing readjusted befiore each service. I was pleasantly surprised at the variety of screws supplied with the mount. It took less than 20 minutes from start to finish including adjusting the projector alignment with the screen. To paraphrase a popular commercial "It's such a quality product for the price".
Fantastic product for the price
May 29, 2017
Fantastic product for the price. All hardware is included. The large bolts require an 11mm nut driver, so if you were planning to install with a cordless impact, check your sockets before you get started. You can use a Philips, but if you are driving them into anything solid, (and you should) then you will probably round them out. Extremely easy to adjust. Would absolutely love a quick release for removing half of the bracket with projector. I'm using it under the roof over my patio. Don't like leaving the projector outside. So taking off easier would be great. 1st world problems.....
The VIVO VP01W Fits the Epson PowerLite 2040 Projector.
April 24, 2017
I had an aging Epson PowerLite 6100 home theater projector that started having auto-iris problems. I decided to replace it instead of getting it repaired. The PowerLite 2040 I replaced it with has a much shorter throw distance and projects upward instead of straight forward.Where I had the 6100 about 14 foot from the screen on a high shelf, the 2040 needed to be 8 foot from the screen and about waist height.I decided to mount the new projector from a door frame using a ceiling mount, and use the ceiling mount setting on the projector. This flips the image and projects forward and down instead of forward and up. I settled on the VIVO Universal Adjustable White Ceiling Projector / Projection Mount Extending Arms (MOUNT-VP01W). I was concerned that the mount might not work since the PowerLite 2040 has three mounting holes instead of four. I figured I would risk it for $11.99.I needn't have worried. The VIVO fit the projector easily. My only problem was mounting the base to the door frame. That wood was the toughest, hardest wood you could imagine. I nearly got blisters on my hand tightening the screws. The mounting kit includes various mounting hardware, but no wood screws. I bought them (#12 1 1/2") at the local hardware store for less that a dollar. The project was simple except for the wood screws, and the result is perfect. The projector is up out of the way, and the image fills the screen.
Great and Simple
March 15, 2017
When I purchased a ViewSonic PJD7720HD 3200 Lumens 1080p HDMI Home Theater Projector, I knew I would need a way to keep it connected to the ceiling. I didn't know what the heck I was doing, so I bought this one. It was very intuitive and simple to set up! It took me almost no time and I was able to do it with the tools in the box. It was simple. A total beginner could figure this out. Take it from a true beginner! It requires no mechanical ability whatsoever.A brief note-- you'll need a drill. There's no way to screw this into the ceiling. Still, love it and would recommend this wholeheartedly.
Fits Epson 2040 perfectly
November 29, 2015
I wanted a white ceiling mount that was built tough and would fit my new Epson 2040. This projector mount fits the bill. It's build tough and meets what I needed and will definately suffice for supporting a 7 lbs projector. It includes all hardware with a ton of extra bolts and washers which are both plastic and metal. Like the popular Epson 2030, the 2040 & 2045 only use 3 arms and this fits like a glove and should never need adjusted. I couldn't be happier. Thank you VIVO.

Great cable for wall-mounted HDTVs
June 8, 2017
Super high quality HDMI cables. These were the perfect length to run inside the wall from the back of the cabinet with the DVD player up to the wall-mounted Flat screen HDTV. Because they have a thick rubber coating on the outside, they are great for dropping down between the studs and fishing out the ends. One word of advice - leave the HDMI covers on the ends if you're installing these in the wall. It keeps the HDMI connectors pristine and they work. We didn't do that on one of the cables and had to re-install with a new cable because the HDMI plug had drywall dust/debris in it.
Works just like the expensive one! Great 4K HDMI cables.
May 6, 2017
I have a new 4K TV and dvd player. When I started to view Planet Earth II, according to the dvd box, I needed new HDMI cables as well to experience the best 4K video and audio (not sure about the audio at this point). I was told by several "experts" that better and/or more expensive HDMI cables would not make a difference. Not so! The right HDMI cables(HDMI 2.2 compliant) make a big, noticeable difference, at least with 4K. I purchased a set of Fusion 4K cables (nearly 5 times the price) and these Mediabridge cables. Honestly, they both appear to do the same outstanding job. I switched them from TV to dvd player and back and cannot tell the difference. But switching back to my "old" HDMI cables makes a very noticeable difference. The picture is still good, but without the clarity and total focus using the better cables. Which of the two would I buy again? Most likely the Mediabridge and save myself some money. The 4K cables are beautiful, but only time will tell if there is a difference in degradation over time. I love both right now!
The 15-foot Mediabridge does 4K @ 60 Hz with 4:4:4 color!
January 11, 2017
I had an Amazon Basics 25-foot HDMI cable that was failing to carry the signal from my PC (GTX 1080) to my television (2016 Vizio P-series 65") when I switched from 4:2:0 to 4:4:4 color format in 4K/60, and happily I came across this 15-foot Mediabridge cable in a box in my closet that did the job perfectly. I bought it in 2012, and it turned out to be exactly what I needed in 2017.As screen technology continues to develop and we make more demands of our cables, it's becoming less and less clear which ones can actually get the job done. A lot of the ones that advertise "high speed" and compliance with the latest formats don't actually do 18 Gbps, and they often fail to advertise how their capabilities change for different length variations of the same cable. I can only speak to the 15-foot product here, but, within that range, if you're trying to achieve 4:4:4 color in 4K at 60 Hz, this Mediabridge will do it for you. I'm very pleased with it.
Solid cable and great pricing.
June 11, 2016
Don't fall for the gimmicky and overpriced HDMI cables at Best Buy, buy this solid cable at great pricing. Unlike analog signals, which are very susceptible to noise; digital signals passed over HDMI either work or don't work (i.e.- you won't get a fuzzy picture with HDMI, it's all or none). That said, it's not worth paying all of that extra money when this cable is just as good or better than the pricey Monster Cables. Each cable came individually packaged in its own box and after opening the box I found a very sturdy cable that is sure to do the job. I've had HDMI cables from Mediabridge for 9 years and they're still going strong!
The latest of many great products I own from Mediabridge.
July 27, 2015
This 15' HDMI cable from Mediabridge is the latest of many Mediabridge cables I own including other HDMI cables in 6' lengths and a 25' subwoofer cable. As with my other Mediabridge products, this cable is high quality and provides high performance. I use this cable to connect my 2012 model laptop to my new 2015 model HDTV to primarily stream MLB TV Premium in my redesigned, refurnished, remodeled "man cave" and to provide a bit more length to drape the cable across the floor for safety (I got tired of having to "jump rope" over the 12' cable this one replaced). There is absolutely no degradation of signal due to the 15' length. I have such confidence in Mediabridge I plan to purchase one of their 25' HDMI cables to run between my laptop and the "dumb" HDTV in the living room of our 40' long RV.5 stars to the Mediabridge company itself, which sent me an email with a thanks, company contact info, and other informative, ummm, information about them and their products.
mediabridge is awesome
February 1, 2014
I have a few other cables from Mediabridge (coaxial cables, other hdmi, and other various things) and they never disappoint. This 25 foot cable is no exception. I bought it to replace a 10 foot cable from gamestop (which was coupled to another 15 foot cable which is fine by the way... funny enough I have no idea where I got the 15 ft. one..... ) which had developed an iffy connection on one end. You barely touch that end and the picture would cut out for a couple seconds. And yes it was the cord, not the port(s) I plugged that end into. After having REALLY cheap hdmi extenders and cables from on here (like $1.50 cables) all fry and also fry the hdmi port on 3 different U verse boxes (cause the cables were so cheap they had no shielding, or the wire was so cheap it did the damage itself idk) ..... I didnt' like the iffy connection so I ordered this. Why go to Best Buy and pay $50 for a cable when you can pay $20 and get one JUST as good as a Monster Cable (Mediabridge that is)? I'm a Mediabridge customer for life now. I'm looking on here first for anything they make before going to a store....The entire cable is solid and well built, and triple shielded like all their cables (not just HDMI). The Wire is thick, but not stiff... I can curve and twist it easily enough as needed. I had just gotten a braided 3 ft. cable from BlueRiggers for something else....... I'll never buy a braided cable again, it makes it so stiff you can't flip the end over without it trying to pull it back around (and in turn pulling on the port). I'll be getting another cable from Mediabridge because of that when I get my PS4, the 3 foot cable from their newer Flex series.

Worth it!
July 5, 2016
Only true HD projector I could find for under seven hundred, and at $350 you cant beat that. Now I would never buy used except Epson is like cannon, they specialize in cameras, camcorders, scanners, printers, and fax machines, been around like thirty years, and I cant see them sending these products out too any one else to work on. It would just cost more, thus I know they are certified and used parts are properly replaced. I use a ten foot screen and looks ass good as movie theater. I would not go bigger then 130in screen if u strive for quality. But you will find no other for the price and quality... I got nothing for this honest review....
Budget minded projector with good resolution but poor black levels.
May 29, 2016
Good value on a projector. I was using for an outdoor movie night, so didn't really need a top notch projector. I wouldn't call this home theater quality, more for business presentation use.
Pros:
Price
2 year warranty (will send replacement and pays for shopping)
Bright
720, good enough resolution for me.

Cons:
Poor black levels (they're a dark gray)

August 20, 2015
I have had this in its box until recently. I have to say the picture is really good for clarity but does seem a little lighter than my previous non-HDMI Epson projector. It also tends to be slightly louder (fan) and seems to think a little slower. This is the only negatives. I have it hanging on the ceiling for a home theater. I haven't quite figured out how to make all of the adjustments. For example, since it points down the bottom of the picture is bigger than the upper portion. I have made some adjustments and it looks really good, but it could be better. I got a good buy on a refurbished one and I would buy it again.
No rainbow or eyestrain! Good picture!
January 16, 2015
This projector is great! I get very bad headaches from DLP projectors, but with this one I can watch as long as I want without issues! The picture isn't quite as good with some of the DLP projectors in similar price ranges, but it really still is great 720p quality.

Very excited to host a Super Bowl party with this.
Excellent projector for the price, great Performer
November 25, 2013
Just a little background in my home theater experience I was always wanted to have Home Theater so I decided to buy at low cost projector if you want to spend money on projector sky is limit. When I bought Epson 725HD, I was not confident on bulb life and value on these concerns I will definitely update my review in future.
When I placed the order Amazon Customer Service messed up and support was not great but after few calls it was resolved. I will give low rating to Amazon service but will not affect Projector review.
I have used Dell, Benq, Optoma and Epson Projectors.
Review: It is an good value and delivers a good theater experience in my living room....
Here's a brief outline of features and my impression of them:

Resolution:
The three biggest features most people look for when talking about projectors are resolution, contrast ratio, and lumens. The resolution of this projector is 720p 1280 x 800. This is little far from full HD, which is the majority of content I'll be viewing, but the picture is classic! I usually view the blu ray version of new movies and I stream HD all the time from different sources.
In first week I always compared my HD laptop screen and Projector screen side by side when I watched Sports, Movies, Few TV seasons, Presentation and documentary. Although the picture was slightly better (Deep black, Blue shades) on the LED screen, nothing compares to watching on a big screen. The picture was very sharp and amazing.

Contrast Ratio:
12,000:1 contrast ratio. A high-contrast projector produces a picture with a deep black level and clearly defined shadow detail. Contrast, in essence, gives "depth" to video images. A projector with excellent contrast can make a two-dimensional image appear almost three-dimensional.(Check Color Contrast ratio)

Lumens:
For me High lumens in a room is not needed unless there is light leakage. (e.g.windows). For watching movies If it is a dedicated room you should look for no more than 1200 Ansi lumens and I was not worried about lumens as its kills high contrast.

Inputs/Outputs:
As Epson gave me lot input option I used them left and right. I am using VGA, HDMI, USB and S-Video cable.
Connecting both my PC and Mac were super easy.

Settings and Keys:
Now a days all projector are easy to use. Vertical Horizontal alignment keys are very easy to use.

Almost all the features are same as Epson EX7220(more lumens) and cost higher than 725HD.

Cons:
1.Power Input is in Vertical direction if you have placed on table it is little difficult.

2.Bulb life:
Biggest concern was bulb life and it was stopping me from buying any projector.

3.Lamp Life on Epson website is wrong
ECO mode: Up to 6000 hours Normal mode: Up to 5000 hours which is wrong.
If you go thr' manual or other website it is: Up to 5,000 hours (ECO mode); up to 4,000 hours (normal mode).

This Projector uses 200W UHE lamp which cost less to replace than other Epson Projector and competitors.

4.Fan Noise and Heat:
No need of Heater in winter. It gets very hot.

Bottom line:
I use this projector mainly for Video streaming. It provides a stunning picture. If you are looking into setting up a home theater, take a serious look at this projector before considering spending much more money on an HD projector. I think you'll be satisfied.

Good, solid, but tricky...
August 6, 2017
Pretty tough to get it all together to hold my Optoma GT1080, but was able to sort it out. Instructions weren't great, but again... I got the job done. Chief complaint is that it's all a little wobbly, and it's extremely difficult to make the small adjustments needed to get my projector lined up perfectly and, once done, it needs to be re-adjusted every few days or so (which is extremely difficult).
OK product, serves the purpose, cud have been a little more sturdy
July 12, 2017
I would have bought PJ1W model (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01DNJHYQ2/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_31?th=1) and saved some money. I believe the extension PJ2W additionally have of no use. If you are not looking for a specific requirements to extend the projector a lot from wall, just go for PJ1W and save some money. Overall product quality is ok - The most difficult part was to keep the projector leveled, due to the weight of the projector and cables. The mounting hands were not strong to hold it tight and was always slipping off how much ever i tightened it. Apart from that its a descent product
Nice projector.

Works great. The hanger is still a little loose even when tightened all the way. I have everything tight so it doesn't move around the bolts, it's just around the points where the arms meet and places where parts overlap. This actually helps it in the end as it can be adjusted just by pushing it one way or another without loosening any bolts, it doesn't need this too often because it would take something shaking or a cord pulling to make it get a hair out of line. One other thing to mount some projectors you may have to get creative as I needed 3 of the short mounting g arms and it came with 2, so I had to make one of the long arms a short one by removing a half inch in length. I read a review before buying this and it said pretty much the same thing, but for the price this is not a big deal at all. Overall it is a very nice mount for the cost and keeps my projector out of harm's way.
It works and is alright
August 21, 2016
This thing has the worst instructions, but let me say that it is sturdy as hell. It took me forever to figure out how to interpret the instructions and apply to my Optoma GT1080 projector. The projector seems to want to not stay exactly in place after tightening down the bolts. I'll have to look at it again to see if I can tighten them more. I do not worry about the projector falling because in that area it is very good. I did have to go to Lowe's to buy screws for my Optoma GT1080 which was 3 12mm M4 bolts (I believe) you can look up the manual online for that projector, but I don't blame this product for not supplying that. Now actually figuring out how to position the bracket was a 30 minute process and like a puzzle. This part ruined the product for me more than anything else. But I will post a picture that satisfied me the most in order to actually mount it to my projector. It's eh....cheap and alright.
If you have a small projector, be prepared to wing it.
May 17, 2016
Be Prepared to Dig In.If you have a smaller projector be prepared to do some minor surgery. The supplied head was too big for my small Samsung HX300.First thing, make sure it fits your projector!I had to remove the 4 leg extensions and turn over the remaining legs to secure it to the projector.Once it's mounted correctly it's solid and bullet proof. Some things to look out for:The instructions don't tell you what size drill to use for the supplied lag bolt to drill into the stud. I used 3/16" and it worked perfectly. The kit doesn't come with wall anchors for drywall, only for mounting to concrete. I used #14 1 1/2" from HD and used a 5/16" drill bit they worked perfectly. The instructions are too small and tiny to be useful, what they do detail zoom isn't too useful.I pretty much ended up winging this assembly but I knew I could make it work and once installed it's solid as a rock. I used the center hold into a stud and the two outer holes for wall anchors. It's not going anywhere.
Optoma HD66 works with this!
June 1, 2015
I have the Optoma HD66 and was a bit worried about getting this projector after seeing a few folks saying it didn't work. There was on reviewer whom had the HD66 and did manage to get the mount to work for them, so I was hopeful. Using the picture on the mentioned review, I was able to attach the mount to my projector, but I decided that this wasn't ideal. The mount was too far back, and should ideally be more centered between the brackets. Enter my solution.I've attached a few pictures, which I hope help anyone else with this model, but the key is to actually reverse one of the longer mounting arms. If the kit came with 4 mini-arms, instead of just two, you wouldn't need to do this, hence the star deduction (in addition to the meh instructions on mounting to ANY projector). The bottom line is this: This is a very versatile mount that will work for basically any projector. It includes multiple screws and washers to help you find the best solution for your projector. If you're comfortable with a screwdriver and socket wrench, you'll have no problems with this. In the end, while I made it fit the projector fine, and was able to build the rest of it, I couldn't actually mount this to my ceiling. Not the mount's fault – turns out we just can't mount through our lathe plaster ceiling without professional help, which isn't worth it for a rental.

A Good Projector Mount But...
September 15, 2017
The ViVO ceiling mount worked well in my basement hanging ceiling. It was mounted on a piece of wood 18" (L) x 5.5" (W) x 1.5" (H) across two joists. There is a 3" clearance left above the hanging ceiling and about 2.5" below. It was a bit tight to work with the 2.5" clearance. It would be nice if this kit has 9" clearance. Of course I could make the piece of wood the mount is on 2 or 3 inches thicker. The mount does not have a cover for the hole on the hanging ceiling so I improvised with a 6" lamp trim with baffle. Getting the projector to be perfectly balanced took some trial and error. Tightening all bolts required the projector to be removed first. Other than that I would say this projector mount met my needs to mount my Sanyo PLV-1080HD High Definition 1080p LCD Home Theater Projector.Pros: The price is very good. The hardware is adequate.Cons: It would be nice if the clearance is a bit more, like 9". VIVO sells another kit which has too much clearance for my need. A cover plate for the hole would also be nice.
Solid Mount
May 18, 2017
We bought this to mount our projector on the ceiling. The double pivot causes the projector to hang quite low, so we took out one of the pivots and just made sure that the mount was positioned properly. It has been holding strong for the past 9 months without any issues and does not vibrate at all when the fan on the projector is going at full speed.
Nice item, provided application supports it.
April 26, 2017
So far so good. Easy to mount, good number of adjustment points for leveling. Only issue is it only mount to the top two screw holes on my projector so the back is a little floppy, just makes it trickier to level. Overall sturdy device though.
Does it's job...
April 21, 2017
Does it's job well but the instructions are terrible. Shouldn't complain because of how low the price is. Only took about 30 mins to install in ceiling, including making my throw distance calculations and measurements.
Great mount for the price!
August 4, 2016
Overall, I thought this worked very well. I mounted a favi 4T projector with this. Now, I will say that it didn't quite fit the favi (it's a bit different than other projectors I've used). I had to only use 3 mounting brackets on the projector instead of 4. It held the projector securely however. I had no issues with it feeling insecure. I think it looks nice as well. I found it easy to adjust the projector to the screen. Over all, good build and finish. Works great.
Good product, Easy to Install
January 12, 2016
I haven't mounted many projectors but this mount was very simple and easy to use. I am happy with the results.Pros: It is heavy duty, super adjustable, and straight forward installation.Cons: If the mounting holes on the projector had been any closer together this mount wouldn't have worked. I could be missing a way to make the arms tighter (I didn't have to look because mine just fit) but I don't think so. The adjustments don't lock in super tight. My projector has been in place for a few weeks and has needed no readjust but when I bumped the unit during install it moved out out adjustment too easily for my taste.I would purchase again!

Be cautious if using with a computer and 4K TV
July 5, 2017
I am a little bit disappointed with this cable. I got it so that I can connect my computer to my 4K TV. I have a graphics card with HDMI 2.0 and have connected it to my TV before at 4K60p so I know there is no problem with the computer or the TV, but when using the 25ft cable, I can not get a signal. I can get it to work at 1080p60p and 4K30p, but not 4K60p. The length of the cable may be part of the issue, but Mediabridge advertises this length of cable capable for 4K60p with HDR. It's an ok cable for 1080p, I just wish that I worked the way it was advertised.EDIT: I am updating my review after speaking with Mediabridge support. In their defense the cable does work with other devices and they have a disclaimer on their page that the cable is not guaranteed to work at 4K 60hz on every device. It still is a high quality cable for the price. The only 4K device I have to use with it is my PC with a GTX 980. This is a common issue as I seem to not be the only one with this problem. The person that I spoke with mentioned that a newer HDMI cable standard that hasn't yet to be released should help with the connectivity problems that I and many other are experiencing.
Does what it needs to do! HDMI 2.0 ready!
June 28, 2017
Cable is long just as described. It works and is HDMI 2.0 ready. The only grip I have is the thick connections don't 'bend' like traditional HDMI cables, but that was my only issue. Plugging it into the monitor and GPU was a snap. No complaints there.
Works as stated
March 25, 2017
This cable seemed like it was going to be a winner, the build quality is on point and looks great. However the cable fits slightly loose in my Xbox one and I keep losing sound and picture. I reach back and touch the plug and it works great again for awhile. When it is working it seems as quality as the factory hdmi, unfortunately it is not reliable enough to use.Update: I have been using this cable for a few months now, and I have very few issues. The cable just doesn't fit as tight into the hdmi port as I would like and if I move the Xbox to clean I may need to wiggle it. This does happen on occasion. So I bumped it up to four stars. If I never had to mess with it I would give it a solid 5.
Good price for long HDMI cable and quality
May 5, 2016
Pros: good feel, thick jacket, good end connector feel, worksCons: not CL3 rated - for a cable this long, not sure why it's not rated for in-wall use, despite the Pros, it still has that "made-in-China" feelI'm using this, in-wall, to connect a Sony PS4 to a Samsung LED-LCD TV. Provides good quality picture and audio to TV (via optical audio out from TV to amp; separate optical audio cable). I'm overall pleased with the product and outcome.
You get what you pay for...
September 26, 2013
I needed a fairly long HDMI cable to hook my laptop up to my flatscreen TV. Initially, I bought an "ultra thin" HDMI cable from here as I didn't want a big bulky cable. But the reality is, you NEED a thick cable to get good signal out on HDMI. The ultra thin cable died an ultra quick death and stopped working within weeks. I'll not make that mistake again. These cables are well manufactured just thick enough for good signal relay but still very flexible. Cost was higher and as I said you do indeed get what you pay for.
Media Bridge HDMI Cables work as advertised, I guess.
December 4, 2011
I ordered and received two 10 ft or so Media Bridge Ultra HDMI Cables. They arrived on time and they both seem to work. They are running a Sony BluRay player directly to a high end Sony 240Hz 1080p screen and also connect the Sony Screen to a MacBook Pro running HD movies and high res jpeg images. It seems to be almost impossible to see differences in video and audio performance between cable specifications and performance.I am running a very new high end Sony 55inch LED 240Hz 1080 P screen, the latest Sony 580 BluRay and the top Yamaha Receiver. Lots of money lavished on equipment.I bought these media bridge Ultra Series HDMI cables that are Cat 2 Certified whatever that means and supposedly support 3D which I don't bother with even though my equipment has that capability etc, etc. I bought them because they seemed capable enough at half the price of the regular stuff in Best Buy. I have occasionally used Monster Brand Cables and my same cynical remarks apply to that stuff. I do run my speakers through Monster speaker cable because they are thicker.I have had very elaborate HDMI cables that are so stiff and fabric covered that they don't bend through my equipment set up and also damaged an HDMI plug in one of my DVD players. So much for the super ultra most expensive stuff." You pays your money and takes your chances"Engineer with two US Patents.

Picture is pretty good. Downside is that if you want this to fit a 72 in screen, it will need to be about 6 feet or closer to the screen as it will not shrink the image.
Purple Streak On the Screen
June 27, 2015
About a month after I bought this I occasionally started noticing a purple streak on the lower right hand part of the screen. Other than the purple streak, it's been working very well for over a year. It's quiet, the picture quality is quite good, and it's very simple and easy to use. If I were a fanatic about the quality of my movies I would probably have returned this, but I'm not. It is annoying, though.
OK, Must have had a lemon
May 8, 2015
Unfortunately I think I received a bad unit, every time I turned it on, the keystone was way off and tilted on my wall. I planned to hang this on my ceiling but wasn't able to due to having to touch the buttons on the unit to fix the keystone. I sent it back and will save up for a better unit. Note, I did have another Epson projector before this one and loved it, unsure of the model number. Wouldn't totally look away from middle of the road Epson projectors if you are looking for a cheap way to have a HUGE screen and solid image quality.
good for small rooms
January 22, 2015
Very limited zooming area , good for small rooms, if you have a large media room , must move the projector to fit your screen, instructions are vague and not for someone with no prior knowledge of how to operate this type projectors. Still couldn't figure how to use the wifi connection .
Good product and technology - poor tech service and product representation
July 10, 2014
great picture and got it at a low price. compact size. would have given it 5 stars but built in speaker is no good and it does not have a external audio mini jack output that would be used for amplified portable speakers for outdoor movie night. The product manual downloaded from Epson says you can play movies from just a usb stick plugged into the usb-a port. WRONG! tried every video format listed on page 81 in manual, used a converter, doesn't work. Epson tech support quote. Dave S " Well this defeats my purpose ! My movie media is in Mp4. Now you have to carry a computer or media player with all the wires involved instead of usb flash drive from pocket and plug in --play! *UPDATE* 7/16/14 Epson corrected the online manual deleting mp4,wmv and mp1 formats. It will play ONLY very basic avi-1 codec from the 90's generation. Nothing over 2gb. and not avi OpenDML off a usb flash drive making the usb-a feature plug on the unit just about useless! Other than my 3 complaints, this unit produces a very good picture for a low price of $499 at amazon when on sale!

Holds a projector but wobbles too much
September 12, 2017
It works, but that is about the only nice thing i can say.Pros: it holds a projector, it has multiple expansion options to fit most projectorsCons: The many adjustments also cause alignment issues. I can take the lens cover off and it causes the stupid thing to get out of alignment. You can easily tighten down some of the tilt screws, but the 360 degree rotation nuts are impossible to get to without buying a special small wrench. Even tightened down, the slightest touch can knock it out of alignment.
Would work well for an older model, but required two DIY modifications to fit my Optoma HD27
April 18, 2017
This got the job done but for my specific projector, there were some issues. I bought this for an Optoma HD27, for which there are only three mounting holes on the projector and they're all located very close together. This projector mount has four arms and instructions for how to remove one arm and move another to a "center" hole. My mount only had four holes and no center hole, so it was different than the instructions and therefore I had to angle it to fit my three-hole projector. The second issue was with the Optoma HD27, all three holes on the projector were very close together. I could see this mount working well for projectors with holes on each corner, but the Optoma had holes about 3in apart. The extender arms on the mount were too big to fit the holes, so I had to cut through the metal to create smaller arms that would fit the projector holes and still lock into the mount.Overall, this would likely work well for an older model projector, but it would not fit the HD27 out of the box and required two modifications.
It holds my projector to the ceiling
March 13, 2017
It holds my projector to the ceiling. That being said its universal nature means that there are a ton of bolts on this thing. Getting the adjustment correct requires immense patience. I have a screen door that slams sort of hard which means the infinitesimal vibrations radiating through my brick house shakes it out of adjustment. I discovered early on the best way to adjust it is to tighten everything down tight tight and force the movements. There is just no other way. There are no mechanisms in place for fine tuning. A few fine threaded jack screws could be added at the joints to facilitate fine tuning. I just haven't the motivation at this time to modify the device.
Lots of adjustment slightly unclear instuctions easy to bump out of alignment
September 22, 2016
Took some noodling to get the mount "legs" set up right for my projector (acer h6510bd) they state the center of gravity of the projector should be at the down rod. This ment cleverly flipping some of the leg feet and then installing the bracketry. The assembly is confusing because the amount of parts they give you and only refer to things as m-l or m-n which means going back and referencing the first page and back and forth again and again. They don't nessisarly state the bushings need to be on both sides of certain parts but it can somewhat be infered by the diagram which isn't drawn to scale.Word of warning as well the plate that goes on the wall/ceiling they imply is mounted the same direction of the joists in a joisted ceiling which is ok IF your screen is down joist but otherwise you'll end up with a projector facing the side wall if you follow the rest of the instructions.. so bottom line is I'd advise mocking everything up first before doing anything permanent. My next gripe is the amount if adjustment makes it such that even if everything is tight plugging in a cable or something can knock the projector out of alignment.Last gripe is apparently my projector fan isn't perfectly ballanced and this mount does a good job of using the cealing as a speaker which wasn't a problem before.Past that it seems like a good mount and was reasonably priced
they aren’t great but I’m fairly handy so it was not too ...
June 3, 2016
Mount is solid enough but there a few issues that need to be addressed. I would have probably given the product 4 stars but if I have to go to the hardware store to buy something that should have been included then the review is adjusted accordingly. I know many people had issues with the instructions. I agree, they aren’t great but I’m fairly handy so it was not too difficult to put the unit together. The schematic on the directions leaves out some nylon washers on certain sides but common sense will get you through that omission. My main issue came from mounting the unit to the projector. I am using an Optomo GT 1080 so I figured it would fit no problem. The arm that connects to the projector has four claws that can be used to connect. The directions say that if your projector only has three (which the Optomo has) mounting holes, just remove one of the claws and move the third to the middle position of the mounting plate. Problem is on the mounting plate I received in the kit there is no middle position. I see some pics on here that clearly show the middle hole on the mounting plate but mine doesn’t have one. So, I need to drill it out. Not a huge deal but an added step. Then when I go to mount the claws to the projector there are no screws that fit the unit. The screw is a standard M3 which are used in all hardware builds so you would think it would be included. So, now I have to go to the hardware store and buy three screws in order to mount the unit.I’m hoping this mount works better than the out of box experience I’ve encountered so far. Unit is solid enough but the necessity to break out the drill and go to the hardware store definitely detract from my satisfaction level.
It worked but it was a headache...
September 19, 2014
Okay so it worked...but it took a long time to figure out how to make the mount work for my Acer H6510BD projector. I never have problems with directions, half the time I don't even need them but this was ridiculous. In one part it told me to remove an arm and move it to position B for a three arm setup. There was no position B, no hole. I ended up getting this to work by turning around one arm. Honestly I gave it 3 stars because it did work. It has a lot of useful adjustments but if I had gotten a projector specific mount I would of had this thing up a day earlier. I did not use the extension arm but it looks "unsafe" to me.

12.5" is diagonal!!! Doesn't work with Epson 3500 Cinema Projector
October 20, 2016
I was disappointed to find out that the 12.5" max was diagonal. It mentions this being the max distance between screw holes numerous times and it's not until the very bottom of the description that it says that's diagonal. Of course I didn't notice this until after I ordered it.Looks to be a well made mount, but if you have a rather large projector order the QualGear QG-PM-002-WHT-S. Its pretty much the same mount for 4 cents less and it has adjustable arms for a longer diagonal reach.
I was very fortunate that I had an old mount (which I broke ...
October 7, 2016
The mount itself does what it is supposed to do. Two considerations:- If you have a wider projection (EPSON 8350, for example) with mounting screws near the outer borders of the projector, it is very possible that the mounting arms will not reach the screw holes. I was very fortunate that I had an old mount (which I broke by jumping up and hitting with my head during an exciting game LOL) that I was able to swap out its mounting arms and attach to this mount. Now that I'm doing this review, I noticed that it DOES explicitly state that it won't accept a screw distance of over 12.5". So, that is my error, but it's still a downside.- While the ability to adjust in three planes can allow you to get the exact perfect picture, it probably took nearly an hour to fine-tune each of the "dials" to get it exactly how I wanted. Now, once I had it in the exact right spot, it does hold its place rigidly.

May 17, 2016
I purchased this for my home theater room. It's not exactly "stable" as anything bumping above will cause it to shake and eventually get out of alignment. Then I have to get a ladder and re-align the picture. It works but I plan on replacing for something a bit more heavy duty.
!! NEEDS ARM EXTENSIONS !!
February 5, 2016
Decent quality for the price. Only wish it included a plastic donut cover to mate up with the ceiling. It would hide the mount and greatly improve the aesthetics. I had one left over from a diffrent mount that I used and definitely made it look better. Not a deal breaker, but a definite plus.I did encounter one issue as the included legs would not extend long enough to reach opposing mount points on my particular projector. This limited me to two reachable mount points, both of which were on the same side of the projector. I was only able to overcome this because I had saved some unused arm extensions and hardware from a different brand mount from another projector install. I retrofitted this mount with the extensions and successfully got it to work as well as achieve good balance prior to attaching to the ceiling bracket.IT IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT WHEN FASTENING THE ARMS TO THE PROJECTOR TO ARRANGE THEM AS BEST AS POSSIBLE TO ACHIEVE GOOD CENTER OF BALANCE PRIOR TO ATTACHING TO CELING BRACKET.This could take some time to accomplish but once completed will ensure a closely equal load to each of the mount points as well as easing the alignment to screen process later on.

ONE of my two cables that I ordered has issues for 4k 60hz from gaming PC GTX 1080 to brand new 4k Sony TV.
September 9, 2017
ONE of my two cables that I ordered has issues for 4k 60hz from gaming PC GTX 1080 to brand new 4k Sony TV.ALL ELSE BEING THE SAME, hardware-wide and software-wise, one of the two 25-foot version of this cable blacks out randomly for a second or two, every few seconds or so, no matter how well connected it is between the graphics card and the TV.I updated the review to be 3/5 due to one of the cables having this issue. I'll attempt to contact the company and get a replacement of their defective cable for free, if they replace it, they will get a 5/5 stars.
Excellent picture quality but connection issue
March 22, 2017
I bought this cable to hook my receiver with my BenQ HT3050 projector. The quality of material with which this HDMI cable is made is excellent. The picture quality is excellent too.But I faced a strange problem. The HDMI connector does not fit nicely on my BenQ HT3050 HDMI port i.e. the connection is loose - a little movement of the project would take the HDMI cable off the projector. First I thought I am not pushing it all the way but then I noticed that is not the problem. Then I used another HDMI cable (which is smaller in length), just to test, and that connected perfectly well and holds the HDMI cable well after the connection - Even if I move my projector it would come off or loose connection.I compared Mediabridge HDMI Cable connector size with this other HDMI cable connector and found Mediabridge HDMI Cable connector is a bit smaller in size that the other one.I would assume all HDMI cables should have a standard with respect to connector size etc.Not sure if anyone faced this issue, but I thought I will at-least share my experience. I would have to return it and get some other cable for my need.
I had to use a 6' High Speed cable from Sony and it works fine, however
February 12, 2017
Did not work with my 4K Samsung Blu-ray UDB-K8500 and Samsung 4K SUHD UN65KS8000 watching 4K UHD Disc. Only seeing black screen. No problem watching Blu-ray Disc.I had to use a 6' High Speed cable from Sony and it works fine, however, I really need a 25' cable if I can find one that works.Anyway, Amazon just took it back and refund the money.
Good but one design flaw.
January 26, 2015
Everything about this cable is fine and works as you would expect, except for one flaw which has proven a dealbreaker for me. While the construction is solid and well put together, the area where the metal tip hits the edge of the rubberized sheath is prone to breaking. This is because the sheath part is rigid, and the metal part if put under accidental pressure tends to "snap" out of the sheath. This has happened to me with two of these cables. The most recent time, I had it connected to my laptop and the receiver in the living room, and when I left the room for a minute, my son walked through and didn't know it was there, so he tripped on it. Just the pressure of tripping it out of the back of the laptop popped the metal section out, and with it the connective wires were apparently frayed as the cable no longer works even if I force it back inside. This is easily remedied, they just need to make the meeting point softer/more flexible. It serves no qualitative purpose I can think of to have no flex. In general I have better luck with the BlueRigger.
Sound cuts out (very occasionally)
April 19, 2014
I ordered this after we bought a media tower to house all my consoles and receiver. We had just set everything up where we wanted it and we realized the old HDMI cord that I had was just about six inches too short to reach the TV from the new tower. Everywhere in town was asking $30+ for a 12 foot cable, which to me was out of the question, so I ordered this and waited.I was immediately thrilled to have the setup working again, but the enthusiasm has been tempered with time.Ultimately, it works well for about 85-90% of our usage, but sometimes (most often when playing movies connected from PC -> receiver -> this cord -> TV) the signal will cut out, typically the sound but occasionally the video for a brief second. Not enough to make the whole experience unenjoyable, but still enough to miss a crucial line of dialogue, throw off the timing of a joke (or a scare), and just generally take you out of the moment.
Price= Yes, Quality= Maybe?
July 15, 2011
I ordered 3 of these 2 x 3' and 1 x 10'. The price is great for a class 2, ARC, 1.4 HDMI. I've paid far more for a lesser cable. The cable looks like it's good quality; however, 1 of the 3 I ordered was defective. It caused fequent (every few seconds) communication losses. I verified this by switching devices and it followed. The replacement worked fine, but it was a pain to have to mail back and reorder. My personal error rate wound up as 25%. I have no idea what their total failure rate is, but I would still buy this as I it's the best deal for a CL2 1.4 HDMI cable I've found. I give it 3.5 stars because of the failure. Otherwise, it would have been 5 stars.

July 24, 2015
It's refurbished. I buy a lot of electronics that have been refurbished and, for the most part, they work and work well. However, this little bomb will play for twenty minutes with an input from our blu-ray player then the display goes dead. Nothing. it's like, taking a break or something. Who knew these things were organized, were unionized that they can just take a break whenever they want to? I want to return it, but what will i watch? I'm in a quandary. I'm impressed with the picture quality when it does decide to stay on - five stars. But when it takes a break in the middle of a movie or television program, it isn't during the commercials, you can just bet - it's during the best part of the show, when it's just getting exciting - not so many stars. When it all averages out, i give it two stars for excellent picture quality, but inopportune moments of darkness. I turn the thing off, then back on, and it'll usually play through to the end of the program. I guess you can call it a forced intermission.
Performance Review
October 23, 2014
Update:

The first unit began making a grinding noise at the auto iris. I contacted Epson who had me send it back. Just before I sent it back it also started having an issue with the screen going blank. In any event they sent out a brand new one to replace this one. After the first movie the auto iris is making the same grinding noise. After doing some internet research it sounds like this is common for this projector. If the movie is loud enough you cannot hear the grinding noise but in quiet moments it is prevalent. The new one has no issues with the screen going blanks and does make a pretty decent picture but I am not please with the overall quality of this unit. If this one gets any worse I will contact Epson and send it back as well. Oh and the second unit they sent has more fan noise than the original too.

Previous Review:

I've never used a projector other than the business projectors we use at work. Most are Epson and they seem to last very well and perform year after year. I was concerned because the picture on those business units is nothing that I'd want to sit and watch in my home, even with the lights off.

In this case the picture that the 730HD projects on a bare white wall is nothing less than spectacular. I would compare the quality of the image to that of a 720P television that I have when connected to an HD source. I also have a 50" Sony HDTV and the picture isn't as good as that, however I didn't expect it to be. I would also say that the picture at a movie theater looks very much like the one that this projector produces. Not as good as an LCD TV but still very good.

If I turn a light on in the room say 60 watts, it looks like you lose about 25% of the overall picture quality (contrast). Still watchable but not as good as a fully darkened room. If I open the curtains on a smaller north facing window behind the couch opposite the screen the picture still looks very good. In a fully darkened room the picture looks good enough that you feel as if you could jump into the movie and start participating. There are times when depth of field comes into play and makes some images look a little out of focus. The TV does the same thing but it is smaller and therefore less obvious. It really just takes some getting used to.

After I get a dedicated screen to play this on I will update the review. As a first take I'd say this is an awesome projector at a great price and definitely worth the bucks if you're looking for a good quality home theater on a budget.

Putting this together is like playing with Satan's erector set
September 5, 2017
This mount was very cheap and flimsy. I have a small projector, and even so it was not really able to hold it in a stable position, even with cranking down the screws. Maybe this would be an OK mount for a tiny projector?Furthermore, it has approximately one million screws, bolts and washers that come all jumbled together in a plastic baggie. Putting this together is like playing with Satan's erector set. I bit the bullet and ordered the Epson mount and am very happy - it is much more sturdy.
M4 screws too short and adapter bracket does not fit to Optoma projectors.
August 27, 2017
2 legs have shorter adjustable footing, 2 others have longer adjustable footing. Makes it less likely to fit into most projectors, which is the case with my Optoma 141HX.M4 screws are not long enough to catch enough of the screw socket. Actually in they do not hold at all, to one of the screw sockets at all.Would have returned it but its too late now.I wish the Customer Service gets in touch with me and provide a different adapter bracket and screw that works.
infinite flexibility if you have infinite time. For optoma hd28dse I suggest the other recommended mount
July 30, 2017
This is not a complete solution (does not include screws for attaching to projector itself) and takes a lot of time and effort to setup. The instructions are bad. The product itself is pretty ugly, the only consideration was function. If you have large ceiling drop it is probably a good solution. And if you don't mind fiddling with it to get it to work. For me, I should have just purchased the more expensive mount but I saw that people said this worked well with the Optoma HD28DSE and this was $35 cheaper...it may work but you have to spend a lot of time configuring the arms to match the mounting posts on the projector, and then take a trip to the HW store to get the M5 screws to attach it. And there might have been other issues but I stopped trying after realizing that it would take all of this time and that for a few more $ I could get the better / faster solution.

January 12, 2017
MAD COMPLICATED- when i opened the box, millions of pieces fell out. Maybe that's just the nature of a wall/ceiling mount but it was insane. I ended up hobbling together two separate mounts just to get it on the wall and even that barely works. If you buy it- be prepared for a complicated job, or buy (cuz it looks strong and legit) and have a professional install it. I wish I had.
May need to call MacGyver
June 4, 2016
The only reason I'm giving it "2" stars is that it appears to be somewhat solidly built "if" you figure out how to get it assembled!!. Forget the printed misleading instructions. I ended up "MacGyvering" my way through the assembly. The included instructions are no less than maddening!! Add to that I was missing a couple of key bolts and plastic washers. To the garage I went to dig through my spare nuts and bolts bin. Unfortunately, the one I had wasn't quite the right diameter so I had to drill one of the holes a little larger to finish the assembly. The manufacturer needs to revisit the assembly instructions and work on their QC department to make sure all of the parts are there before shipping. Yes, I could have shipped it back. Yes, I could have requested the missing parts, Yes, you get what you pay for. However, my time is money and my weekends are full of projects so I just worked my way through it and moved on. I do like the amount of adjustments available on this unit. I just hope they hold securely as some reviews state it moves around a lot even after tightening things up. I am waiting on my projector and will adjust this review accordingly depending on the outcome and fit.

October 3, 2015
Get what you pay for. This mount is over engineered, there are too many pivot points and this makes for a very shaky mount. I also had to modify the part that mounts to the projector (mine is a Optima HD26) just to get it to work. Now that I have it mounted it seems ok but every once and a while I have to adjust it a bit.

Had to return it. It did not fit my Epson three connection points. Seems to be good quality, just make sure it will work for you.
The greatest distance on mine was 11
November 30, 2016
I read the specifications for this prior to purchase and was sure to measure the distance of the threaded holes on my projector to be sure this would work. The description says the holes must be within 12.5" from each other. The greatest distance on mine was 11.5" (side to side), and this would not fit mine. I had to fabricate an extension for this to work properly. If it helps others, my projector is a Mitsubishi XL25U.Otherwise this seems like a solidly built product.VIVO, please fix your item description.
Good design. Poor materials & tooling
February 28, 2016
Really good design, but the screw holes were all too big so the included screws wouldn't tighten to hold the projector steady, let alone maintain the appropriate angle for a screen.I spent about two hours making various adjustments to the screws and swapping them with others to narrow down the source of the issue: all the screws were very loose in the same holes, which indicates a problem with bad tooling on the manufacturing side.I replaced all the screws/bolts with my own, adding nyloc nuts to secure them tightly. Once doing that, it's worked like a charm. A couple weeks ago, my young niece even pulled on an HDMI cord I had (stupidly) left hanging down, and it stayed in place.

Doesn't hold the angle I want very well
Bolts don't tighten
December 20, 2015
Not sure what all the great reviews are for.. Yes it fits and is easily adjustable but you cannot tighten the adjustment bolts enough without stripping them out.. End result the projector moves up/down side to side easily. I will deal with it for now but definitely not what I expected!

Poor Quality 3Ft and 6FT HDMI Cables
September 8, 2017
Bought back in 2015, first time I used it, it did not fit well into either a GTX 980 or 1080 video cards. Caused dropouts, static, and video interference. Substituted other HDMI 4K cables and problems cleared up. Poorly made cables. Go with another manufacturer! This applies to the 3 ft and 6 ft lengths
Cable did not work with Apple TV (HDCP issue)
August 28, 2017
Just purchased 3 of these. So far, one is already causing problems. According to my Apple TV, the cable is not HDCP compliant. When I switched out the cable with an older, lower quality cable, it worked just fine. Not off to a good start.
End of cable broke in receiver.
January 14, 2017
I bought this in 2013 thinking I would need it but didn't actually start using it until 2015. Today I was connecting a new DVD player and noticed that this cable was dangling from my AV receiver. I pulled it out and part remained stuck in the receiver. I eventually was able to tease out the part stuck in the receiver and at this point I don't know if it has been damaged. Obviously the cable can not be used. I have purchased many Mediabridge products and was about to purchase another cable from them but now I am concerned if this could happen again. I don't know if this was just one defective cable.

November 11, 2016
It can carry deep color / hdr at 4K, but signal does cut out a lot. I guess 25' is too much to ask for solid 18gb throughput. Going to try an active cable.
Didn't work with my Directv 4K system!
September 4, 2016
I bought this cable in an attempt to "upgrade" the connection from my Directv Genie client box to my Marantz home theater receiver. It worked fine until I tried to watch a 4K broadcast when I got an error message saying "This TV does not support 4K programming!" After recently spending nearly $4K for my LG 4K UHD TV, this did not sit well with me. So I went back to the cable Directv gave me when they set up the 4K Genie, and I was able to watch the baseball game in 4K with no problem! Had to be an issue with this cable!
FROM GOOD TO A DISAPPOINTMENT
May 13, 2016
Worked fantastic for alittle while and then decided to continuously lose connection every time the cable was even barely touched/moved. The company replaced it for me but shortly after it started happening to that one too. I just gave up on the company/product because I figured there was no hope. I should have asked for a refund at the time but never did, which I regret (even though they probably would have refused to give it to me anyways. It has such great reviews but was a huge disappointment.

Like a few others have mentioned
October 24, 2015
Like a few others have mentioned, this projector just stops working. I've used it five times for "movie night," and the first four it worked, but had a few glitches (the screen would go blank suddenly, but just for a second). Now it cuts out every few minutes, sometimes for ten minutes at a time. Doesn't matter which input you use or what device it is connected to (I've tried laptop, Apple TV, and Roku), it randomly stops displaying and says there is no signal - then it starts up again. You may get a good one, but if not, you've just wasted a few hundred dollars. I can't invite a group over again for movie night and have it completely fail.

September 16, 2015
Sorry but this item has very poor quality picture and not at all what I expected from an Epsom projector. Be very very careful before you buy because if you want to return this particular projector you stand to loose almost £150. To my disgust with Amazon I had to pay for return postage and the cheapest I could get was almost £40. then there was the tax which it seems is non refundable so you will loose out there also and , when you try to email Amazon through their PROBLEMS page the email will not go.

The picture was good and bright, but when you use keystone correction or have 16X9 picture the native aspect displays a very bright grey outline.

Not safe! Lower section can and will slide out of upper section falling to the floor! Needs a safety lock or stop so it cannot.
August 20, 2017
Lower section does not lock in properly. The lower section came out and my projector hit the concrete floor 10 foot below destroying my projector. I suggest if you use this cheap mount that you drill a screw from lower mount to upper mount so it can not slide out and damage your projector as mine is trash!
Bad instructions, bad product...
August 7, 2017
Terrible instructions! This was very difficult to piece together and when we finished putting it all together the fit to the projector had to be tinkered to for just right. This product was recommended to me by Amazon to be purchased with my projector as a recommended accessory. In the end I made it work but not without killing a few brain cells.
Straight basura!
November 21, 2016
Wow someone actually woke up one day and said I have a bright idea. It's this 9000 piece puzzle to mount a projector where the holes won't line up but who cares I'm going to make money ripping ppl of their hard earned money.Do yourself a favor order something that's a bit higher in price and save yourself the two hours it will probably take u to assemble and then realize u can't shift it as much as you thought.
JUNK, DONT BUY!
August 8, 2016
If I had to do it over again, I'd just pay $40 instead of $16 and get one specifically made for my projector (Acer H6510BD ) Does it work? Yes, it is holding my projector up, but it requires a ton of tweaking to get it level and keep it level. I believe it could've been designed a lot more simple and more reliable. If you're looking for something with great step-by-step directions, this is NOT it. I'm a pretty handy guy, and I'm good with hardware/building things, so I was able to make this work with modification... but if you're not, don't go this route, get one designed specifically for your projector.Update: after a week, I have declared this a total loss, worst purchase I've ever made. Doesn't hold projector level at all. IMPOSSIBLE to get your projector level & keep it that way.

June 5, 2016
Amazon suggested his for the Acer H5380BD . They were wrong. Even with all the adjustability the bracket is really for a larger projector. Also, the bolts that come with it are very short. Too short to securely screw through the bracket and into the projector. So now I must go out and buy bolts. And finally, this is poorly machined. Many of the holes do not line up properly and I found myself forcing bolts through anyway I could. Not worth the price.
Cheap and flimsy. Skip this one if you want a quality, durable install.
November 8, 2015
This thing is terribly flimsy. It could not even hold the projector at the proper angle under perfect conditions, even after tightening the dozens of "adjustment bolts". The slightest amount of vibration in the building caused the image to shake unacceptably, and change position at rest. I took it down and threw it in the trash 15 minutes after installing the projector. A waste of money and 4 hours of my time. Perhaps it was unrealistic to believe a decent projector mount could be purchased at this price point.

This projector mount is terrible. The screws do not stay secure in the metal pieces, so the hinge mounts are always loose. Every time I watch a movie, the projector is pointing a different direction and needs to be bumped back into place.

The description of the product is misleading. The extension clip that comes with this mount is not long enough for most medium to big sized projectors used for Home theaters. This will only fit smaller projectors. THIS PRODUCT WILL NOT WORK FOR EPSON H651A.

Doesn't handle cable management well...
August 2, 2017
Have purchased 2 of these, both failed when run through cable raceways to hide the clutter. All turns were angled less than 90*, and as gently and as gradually as possible. Both failed in the same way - signal cuts out for seconds at a time, is instantly fixed with a different cable. Maybe if you're just going to let the cable lay on the ground this could work, but for those of us who prefer to manage our cables cleanly, avoid this brand.
Bad cables, which wasted hours
July 9, 2017
I wasted hours trying to get a couple of computers hooked up. I changed the adapters, the computers...but then I decided to test a cable when all else failed and it worked! Do yourself a favor, if it does not work on one of the first try, grab a cable that works and test it to see if the new cables are bad. Don't do what I did and assume that these were good cables.
No HDMI UHD Color signal
March 14, 2017
14,000 HDMI cables on Amazon alone... I picked this 15 ft cable because it said "hand-tested" and certified- so at least I wouldn't be getting a fake labeled low-speed cable. Too bad it will not transmit HDMI UHD Color (50P/60P 4:4:4 and 4:2:2) signals at all.I intended this to replace a cheaper cable that had a signal so bad that my 4K PC desktop would always have sparkles/flashes and signal drops. This immediately did not work after swapping the cheap cable. After 30 mins wasted I finally got picture only by switching off HDMI UHD Color and rebooting the TV. Even the cheap $3 cable had no problem with the original setting. For this to tout all its amazing features and fail out of the box was very disappointing.
Must have gotten a bum cable
June 30, 2014
18 months ago when I bought my new TV I bought a couple of these cables to use between the TV, DVD player and the DVR. They seem to be working fine for right now. Now honestly I don't use the DVD player that often so I don't if that particular cable has failed yet, but the one for the DVR gets used almost everyday and its been fine so far. That being said, when I bought my Amazon Fire TV I went ahead and ordered another cable thinking it would work just like the other two. It has not. At first I thought all my problems trying to get my Fire TV set up were because of user stupidity. I tried numerous things to get it to work to no avail. Finally I borrowed at different HDMI cable from my sister and all my problems disappeared. Amazon Fire TV worked great but I still wasn't sure if it was the way I had it set up or the cable itself so I did a test. Put the Mediabridge cable back on.....all my problems were back. Put my sisters cable back on.... everything is great. Conclusion...its got to be a bum Mediabridge cable. Sadly its now too late to send it back. Oh well.
Want to love these cables.
March 1, 2013
So first off these are nice looking cables, nice plug that fits hdmi ports very cleanly and a nice heavy gauge wire. The bad is neither cable i purchased worked. I purchased two cables to replace existing cheap hdmi cables i purchased on ebay a number of years ago, there was nothing wrong with he cables but I wanted to update the cables and have them all match, so I selected the mediabridge cables. The first cable I was planning on using was to connect my PC to my TV. Now I currently have a working cable in place but when I plugged in the media bridge my tv would not even recognize a signal. When I played with the settings in my computer the hdmi cable would not even read that it was plugged in. Being a tech savvy person I am I updated all my drivers, verified the resolution being transmitted and tried to connect square one, still a no go. So I figured it was a bad cable, s*** happens...Cable #2 was then tried. Same thing accept my computer recognized that cable being plugged in but that it was an analog cable. I could not get a picture to transmit to my TV but I did get mono sound, so much for 7.1. Now my computer is set up for 5.1 and 1080P currently with my GeForce Graphics card and 1.50 ebay HDMI.So maybe i figured that it was just my computer being picky about the cable that it used, so I tore my home theater set up apart and connected TV to Home theater, Xbox to Hometheater, Xbox to Tv, tried the Ps3 and the cable box in every avenue possible. Nothing at all, no picture, no sound. Finally I got the picture on my cable box but it would only work in 480i, so much for HD.Irritated at this point I called my buddy over with his cable testers, needless to say one cable transmitted nothing while the other would transmit about 20% signal.I am very disappointing because I wanted to love these cables, the company sounded good too, mostly positive review but it looks like I am just going to stick with my cheap-o ebay cables.
snow and lost signal; bad contacts?
February 21, 2013
This Mediabridge High Speed HDMI Cable functioned correctly for just a short time, then snow on the TV, followed by total drop-out of the signal from the Blu-ray DVD player, accompanied by loud crackling snaps. I thought it was the DVD player, so we returned it to the store and bought a different DVD player. This cable again functioned fine. Maybe the contacts were being refreshed by scraping the contacts in the new DVD player. After about five weeks, the snow on the TV, followed by total drop-out of the signal, came again, with the new DVD player. Okay, I changed the DVD player last time and I still have the signal problem, so maybe it's the cable. I replaced this cable with the cable being used for the cable box and the snow and total drop-out of the signal stopped. The HDMI cable on the cable box hasn't had any signal problems in over a year of usage, so I concluded that this Mediabridge High Speed HDMI Cable must have contacts that easily oxidize. This is yet another example of getting what I pay for (not much). I will now pay more for a quality cable.
