Don't Buy a Sound Bar Until You Try This One!
July 20, 2015
(Although the following may sound like it, I am not an employee of LG nor do I have a vested interest in this product!) You owe it to yourself to try this sound bar before making your final purchase; very sleek, stylish unit with high quality sound. If you're looking for big booming room filling performance, sorry...however, if you want a high quality upgrade from your current stock TV speaker system, you can't go wrong here. Had it setup quickly and most of that time was getting it out of the box. To give you an idea of how easy and versatile it is to use, I told my young daughter that she could play music through her phone on it, within two minutes and no help from me, she had her favorite song playing through the blue tooth connection! You can adjust the treble, bass, and wireless sub-woofer. I have my TV on a stand, the sound bar's low profile doesn't block my TV's remote sensor and the woofer fits perfectly behind the TV and out of eyesight. Very happy with this purchase and would buy it again and recommend it to friends.
Love this sound bar!
July 20, 2015
I am very pleased with this sound bar. I purchased an LG 55 inch television a couple months ago which I love but the sound left a lot to be desired. With the close to 100° temps we have had for the last month my air conditioner has been going steadily and I had to turn up the TV to nearly 100% just to hear it. So I bought this sound bar and it has solved the problem perfectly. As sound bars go it is a good looking unit and if fit perfectly, (without the feet) under my tv. The sound is very good and I get lots of bass from the sub woofer. It was very easy to set up and the sub paired without a problem. I did use the optical cord and have not tried out the BT capability because I really have no use for it so I cannot speak on that. I use it in an average to small size room but I think it would be just as good in a large room. I had a comparable priced Samsung sound bar on my last tv and this one blows it away! I have seen some reviews that mention the bass is not very strong but I am a person who loves bass and find this to have a very strong bass. Use the settings to adjust to where you like it. Of course it is not an expensive surround sound but is more than adequate. I have only had this in use about 4 days so will update this review if anything changes.UPDATEI have used this for over a month now and it has performed flawlessly! I am still very happy with this sound bar and love that I don't have to continually turn my volume up and down like I was always doing when using the tv sound without the sound bar.
It's a solid performer and the value is right.

Just what I have been waiting for
June 4, 2015
The sound is very good with bass and treble adjustments as well as several preset sound configurations. The wireless sub-woofer is compact, adds plenty of low end, and paired effortlessly. The sound bar has a low profile (I didn't use the supplied feet) and fits perfectly in front of my 42" TV. I hooked it up with an HDMI cable through my TV's ARC port and can use my TV remote to control its volume. (My TV is also made by LG. I have been waiting for an LG product like this so I could be certain of its compatibility. I don't know if this functionality can be obtained with other brands.) It also shuts itself off after the TV has been off for a few minutes.
Love it.
April 29, 2015
We ordered these speakers to use with a new projector to do movie nights in the basement and outside when it is nice. The sound quality is amazing. You can hear tiny details that I have never noticed from my regular television (birds chirping, leaves rustling, etc). The different audio settings were nice. Very easy to set up with the projector.
Adds robust sound to 55" HDTV
April 12, 2015
I purchased a LG LA6900 55" smart HDTV about a year ago and have never been happy with the sound. I knew this was a shortcoming when I bought it, and otherwise, I like the TV. This sound bar makes all the difference in sound quality. It has the option of using either optical or HDMI connection. When I first started shopping, a customer service rep at the well-known blue big box store told me optical was the best connection; that HDMI splits the signal. Sounded good at the time. However, after researching the connection options, I learned that the consistent recommendation is to use the HDMI ARC connection on the TV if available. Some articles said there was little noticeable difference between optical and HDMI, but still said HDMI was preferable. I downloaded the Owner's Manual, and it describes the optical connection first, HDMI ARC next, without offering a preference. I used the HDMI connection and didn't test optical. However, I'm glad to have the optical option because I only have 3 HDMI connections on the TV and I may need all of them in the future.Setup is super easy, even though the instructions that come with the unit seem less than robust at first glance. The instructions are mostly pictorial, but are clear and cover various connection and setup options. The TV has a setting for an external sound bar that includes auto AV sync. I plugged in power to the wireless sub and it was immediately synced in. My TV is on a stand that has 3 open glass shelves. I put the sound bar on the middle shelf and the sub beside the stand. Wall-mount brackets are also included. The sound bar has several sound effect settings, but the only one I use is "cinema." This setting produces rich, room-filling sound while preserving dialog clarity. The sound bar has lots of options for connecting other devices, which I haven't explored. I bought it to add sound quality and clarity to my 55" HDTV, and it more than satisfies that reason for purchase.

Solid steel and good idea.
November 28, 2016
Good solid steel construction. They will bend if you twist it, but it works fine for what it needs to do. Comes with a big bag of screws, spacers and washers of various sizes to let you find the ones that will fit your TV. (NOTE: Make sure you use the right length. If you try and put too long a screw into the holes on the back of the TV, depending on the design of the TV itself, you may damage something. I had two different sets of bolts that would fit the holes, but one was twice as long. I did not hurt the TV, but think you could have...)My one suggestion/complaint about it is that when it's above the TV, it is sort of balanced on one screw on either side, and could use something like a couple of rubber friction washers or ridged plastic washers to help keep it in place. The plastic washers work ok, but if anything touches the sound bar it tilts to one side or the other. Doesn't affect the function of it, just looks bad.You will need screws to fit your soundbar. My soundbar had them included along with keyhole plates to hang on a wall, but none of the screws included would fit. Verify you have the right hardware before starting or you'll have the usual mid-job cussathon. One person can attach this to the back of a TV, but it would be easier with two, since with one hand you hold the soundbar up, one hand you hold the bracket in place, one hand you put in the screw and tighten it and your tail is swishing the flies and there you are.I used one of the round holes at the top to mount the bar, and the middle slots to attach to the TV to allow it to be leveled above it. As my TV is sitting on a shelf in the middle of the room, below wasn't an option. It doesn't sit flush with the front of the TV, but that doesn't really matter and will probably depend on your specific soundbar and TV. (Mine is a small soundbar and relatively thick LCD tv.)
Mounted Vizio SB3820-C6 to a Vizio M55-C2 TV
May 10, 2016
Everything went smoothly. Shipping was fast and the product worked perfectly. I mounted a Vizio SB3820-C6 sound bar above a Vizio M55-C2 TV using these brackets. I also have the TV mounted to the wall using a Kanto PDX650 wall mount. Both mounts work well together. The only hardware I needed from the sound bar mount was a spacer to place on the bottom two screws of the TV wall mount to compensate for the sound bar mount that used the top two screws on the TV mount.
Makes Life a Little Easier
November 1, 2015
I am very pleased with this product. I have a wall mounted Sony 50" TV, and wanted to install the Sony HT-CT370 Sound Bar at the bottom of the TV for a clean look and central sound. I have the AC plugs located high on the wall behind the TV and all cables run inside of the wall. But, I needed a way to "hang" the Sound Bar from the bottom of the TV without putting holes into my wall. I ordered this product along with the Sound Bar because the other reviews were good and positive about the versatility of this bracket. I was not disappointed. Made out of steal with plenty of holes and curves to align with the holes on the rear of the TV and on the Sound Bar, I installed it in about 20 minutes with the help of a partner holding the Sound Bar up in place while I aligned the screw holes. What I did was to unscrew the bottom two holes from the TV wall bracket and the TV, then I slipped in the Sewell Sound Bar bracket in-between, placing the wall mount bracket on top and re-tightened the the two bottom screw holes. Then I adjusted the Sewell to align with the Sound Bar at the bottom and tightened everything up. Nice product and I am so glad I ordered it with the sound Bar. This made life a little easier for me.
Excellent bracket.
July 10, 2015
This is exactly what I needed. It fits on the existing mounting holes and bracket on the rear of my Sony plasma TV and holds my Vizio sound bar flush to the bottom of the TV. It is the same width as the TV and looks as if the sound bar is part of the TV. I use a full motion bracket and this does not interfere in any way with movement of the bracket and TV. Excellent product and reasonable price. Very happy.
Third set purchased
September 14, 2013
I have three TVs; all have mediocre sound from mediocre speakers on the back. Two are on tilt/swivel mounts that extend out from the wall. I use a sound bar with each for improved sound. The brackets are a great concept. They let the sound bars tilt and swivel with the TV, and provide a clean installation look. The brackets fit all three different model TVs and all three different model sound bars. They take a little bit of care and effort for installation, but it's worth it. I recommend getting a small pack of adhesive cable clips; those let me run the cables invisibly down the back of the bracket. The sound bars sway just a bit when the TVs are moved, but they're secure and the slight momentary sway is not a problem. Inexpensive and effective!
Works just fine for what I wanted
August 9, 2013
These brackets hold my samsung sound bar no problem. My sound bar came with it's own wall mount bracket and I needed to buy some small bolts, nuts and lock washers but not because of the brackets. Great item for the price. I am using a Cheeta full motion mount to mount the TV to the wall and these brackets to hold the sound bar. I also posted some customer images.

Great sound bar
March 27, 2016
Great sound bar, just don't use the LG wireless connectivity to the TV. Had awful audio sync issues along with a high pitched background tone. Using the HDMI Arc channel, works great. Just need to ensure you use the TV as the AV receiver. Bass module is surprisingly good, to the point where we needed to level it back because it was rattling the entertainment center.Bought this for my parents as a replacement to their 15 year old 650w 5.1 Sony system and sounds amazing compared to it. Due to the size of the soundbar, mid level range isn't overly rich, but highs are crisp and neat without hiss or tin, and the module handles low's well for it's size. For someone who's not looking to invest in a full component system or want something simple for the 65 and over crowd, this is great.Very pleased with it
Fantastic Sound for its Price, Small Functionality Issues
January 5, 2016
The sound is fantastic. I was skeptical at first due to the sound bar's slim size, however it covers the high, mid, and even low range very nicely and sounds balanced. Voices are very clear and sound natural. The subwoofer packs a very good punch and is more than enough for a pleasant cinematic experience, it delivers that "low rumble" often experienced in theaters and really adds to the experience. The "Sound Effect" button located on the remote is a great feature, as in order to get the most out of this sound bar and subwoofer you will want to adjust the "effect" pertaining to your current activity, rather this is streaming music via bluetooth or watching a cinematic film. There are some small functionality issues with this product. Every time the sound bar is turned on, the display located on the center of the sound bar lights up, and personally I find it much too bright when watching television or a film. You may turn off or dim the display by using the "Sleep" button located on the remote. However, the sound bar must be manually dimmed every time the sound bar is turned on. The display will illuminate if a volume adjustment or other setting is changed in the "Display Off" mode.I originally made this purchase because I was looking for a slim sound bar that would fit under my 42" LG HDTV (2015 Model with Legs) without blocking the picture. This sound bar fits very nicely and does not look out of place.Overall, I am very satisfied with this product and would definitely recommend it.
Good Sound Bar for the price
December 28, 2015
I have a 40" LG LED TV in the bedroom that did not have very good speakers. I was able to set up this system in about 10 to 15 minutes. I used the included optical cable to connect the Sound Bar and turned on the system. It did power up and connect to the Bluetooth Sub-woofer without any issues. I did have to keep the bass low and the Sub-woofer turned down to keep the sound from being "muddy". After getting everything adjusted...the sound quality is good and there is more than enough bass. The only thing that I found annoying is the display on the Sound Bar, which you can turn off by clicking on the "sleep" button on the remote. You will see the selection of "Display Off" and then just let it turn off. The problem is that the display comes back on when the unit is powered off and then restarted. This is somewhat annoying, but is a minor issue. This is why I am rating this as 4 stars instead of 5.
Great Sound & Great Price
July 3, 2015
Very pleased with the sound but a slight pain in the butt installing the sound bar. Installation instructions are weak; added more confusion than necessary as it is pretty easy to mount on the wall (4 screws) and a cable connection or two. Bye-the-way, make sure you install the cables first before you screw it to the brackets as it will be nearly impossible to connect the cables once it's mounted to the wall. What was confusing was the connectivity options: Bluetooth, HDMI ARC, HDMI, or Optical… quite frankly they all sound the same as I toggled through all the options. Plus, I have a new LG TV but many sound bar functions do not work through the Magic Remote supplied with the TV At least the volume control does, so once you select the output mode, it's a great sound bar. Another note… I'm surprised some reviews state the woofer is sub-par. I wholly disagree… I think it has plenty of thump. There is also a separate subwoofer control so you can add more dB if you want.

Amazing sound quality. Only short coming is when listening to high quality music and maxing out volume, it sounds overwhelmed trying to hit multiple ranges and keep quality. Still rocks my showers and basement almost as hard as the living room it's in. Perfect compliment to my bar top. The bar and sub itself are beautiful and the display on it is super helpful. Bluetooth and the remote work great. Even the button press on the bar itself is smooth and solid. I should have read closer, I was awesomely surprised when it came with an optical cord. I would recommend.
Great Sound Bar Great Construction
May 20, 2015
This bar just happens to fit perfectly in our shelf space, and I admit that it was purchased on dimension and to match a new LG television. The sound is great and completely compliments the television. My only complaint is that the mode/input lettering doesn't disappear after changing mode or volume. The lettering is a very bright white. Apparently this can't be changed. Otherwise it's a wonderful unit, very well built, and the best sounding of my other sound bars in the house.

Like solving a puzzle
December 19, 2016
Bought these brackets on the strength of the mostly positive reviews here. Would have given 5 stars except for the length of time required to figure out how to make the attachments. There are four elements that have to be negotiated successfully in order to get this mount to work: TV, TV mount, soundbar and the bracket. The process is almost akin to solving a puzzle and requires the user to patiently consider many possible approaches before arriving at the one that actually works. To the credit of the designers, there are more than enough places on the brackets to put attachment screws and they supply a large number of various screws plus washers and extenders. My particulars: The TV is a 47" LG TV on a Sanus swivel mount. The soundbar is a Vizio SB3821-C6. First preference was a below the TV mount, but would have gone to a top of the TV mount if necessary. Was easily able to find the correct screw pair to attach the brackets to the soundbar. The hard part is determining where to attach the other end of the bracket to the TV mount or TV. After considering many options, it became obvious that the best place was to piggyback on two existing TV mount screws. Removing those screws proved tricky because once removed the TV slipped in the mount so that the holes were no longer aligned. Nevertheless, with the help of some muscle, I was able to realign the screw holes and attach the bracket. This proved to be the perfect way to mount this soundbar which leaves a gap of about 1 inch below the TV but is necessary to be able to access the manual controls which are located on top of the soundbar. Finally, for this soundbar, the brackets block the access points at the rear of the bar for power cord and output sound cable. This was easily solved by disattaching the bar from the bracket, making the necessary wire connections and reattaching the bar. Probably could have flipped the brackets over, as well. The brackets provide a fairly solid attachment.
Be prepared in every sense. All associated gear is critical.
November 26, 2016
This bracket is both useful and somewhat flexible in terms of what products it will work with. It is best suited fortvs that are flat on the back, something that buyers seldom look at when making a TV purchase. As to sound bars, I have used it with the very flawed LG sound bar which ended up working ok and looking ok but that was due to repurposing fittings and ignoring all instructions. Avoid any attempts at making this unit work without an Extensive collection of spacers, screws, washers and other hardware. Choose a sound bar that is not too heavy and that has rear mounted screw on mounting provisions. While Sewell does not mention it, I added a second screw attaching the bracket to the rails which mount onto the TV. This keeps the soundbar from racking side to side and flopping around. This has to be done as the last step before mounting the assemble and great care must be taken to assure that the TV is not damaged when predrilling for the 1/2" #8 Truss head screw. The wall mount bracket must be substantial and should not be a shallow mount. Actually, a very strong, well made wall mount is essential and unless you are very lucky and not too concerned about cosmetics, a flat mount is out of the question.
It works well, but had to make some modifications.
June 3, 2016
Maybe it's because my TV (Sharp Aquos) is five+ years old, and my sound bar (Yamaha) is almost as old, but these didn't quite fit like I would have hoped. None of the screws that came with the brackets fit any screw holes on the back of my TV or sound bar – and they send a ton of screws, washers and sleeves in the box. I was sure that one set would work, but no. I used the screws that came with the wall hangers for my sound bar. I had never hung it on the wall, and fortunately the hangers and screws were still on the back of the unit. I removed those hangers and had four screws I could use to mount the brackets. Then I ran into another problem. On the back of my TV, there are only two screw holes that would work, and only two screw holes that worked on the sound bar. Well, I'm no engineer, but I knew unless there was somewhere to add a fifth screw (and preferably a sixth) that this was going to be an unstable situation. Also, I was short a screw to make that happen. I realized that I no longer needed the legs on my sound bar if I was going to hang it from the brackets, so I removed the legs and – two more screws. But I still had the problem of no hole to put the screw into to give the brackets the needed stability. I saw a hole near the right bracket on the back of the TV. I was able to angle the right bracket just enough to get a second screw in it. Now I had stability. From there it was just a matter of leveling the sound bar and hooking everything up. I stepped around to the front of the TV and by angling one of the brackets it had made the sound bar about 2-3 inches off center above the TV. This kind of thing doesn't bother me, but I know some folks that it would drive crazy. I let it go.Now, the most important part: It sounds WAY better. Previously, I had the sound bar sitting under the TV. In order for the TV remote to work, I had two pieces of plywood stacked under the TV stand to raise it above the sound bar. I didn't realize that by having that plywood and a Blu-Ray player, Roku box, Apple TV, cable box, etc behind and beside the sound bar, it was blocking a lot of the sound. Especially the bass.So despite all the modifying I had to do, it was worth it. It's like I have a new sound system for my TV.
Works great, had to do a little extra work to get it to fit just right.
March 28, 2016
It works and looks great!Pros:Looks like it will fit almost anythingStrong but light metalComes with an abundance for different screwsHigh QualityCons:Didn't have correct screws for my Sony Sound bar, even with all the extra ones that came with it. (Drill bit fixed that issue in about 2 second) Works great now.More of a gap than I would like difficult to get flush against TV with type of bracket this is but got the gap close in about 10-15 minutes within an 3-5mm or so doing it alone.Could of had more detailed instructions but it's not rocket surgery. If I would purchase in the future:I think I would have paid a little extra and get the type that has straight bars that each as an articulating arm (4 piece) (straight) mounting bracket vs the (2 piece) (curved)
A solid product that makes me want for nothing more.
January 2, 2016
Purchased this to mount a VIZIO SB4051-C0 40-Inch 5.1 Sound Bar on top of a Samsung Curved 55" UHD TV mounted to a wall with a Cheetah Mounts APFMSB TV Wall Mount Bracket. I thought that my curved TV would present a problem and this bracket might not work for me, but it works quite well.Took my tv off the wall and laid it on my bed to mount the sound bar. Removed the wall mount brackets and placed the soundbar brackets on first on the two top mounting holes in the back of the tv and mounted the soundbar to the end portions of the brackets. Used some spacers on the lower tv mount holes to make up for the thickness of the soundbar brackets. I should note also that with the curved tv, I was using some additional spacers already to allow clearance for all of the brackets due to the curve of the tv. All said and done, the effect is that the sound bar is sitting securely on top of the tv and looking pretty sharp. I could have hung it btw and spaced out the soundbar so as to not contact the tv, but I like and prefer it this way.In the packaging comes with a hardware bag full of screws, washers, spacers - pretty much everything you'll need to make this work. The only issue I had was that the shape of the brackets make it somewhat difficult to plug and unplug some of the connections in the rear of the soundbar. While not fully blocking access, they do hinder some. However, this is hardly a problem as I'll only ever be going back there again when I add a new component at a later date. Also, being a universal bracket, you'd expect something like this. Though I think the price is kind of high just for some brackets, they made a good product and supplied every piece of hardware I could need and more.4 Stars. A solid product that makes me want for nothing more.
However it did make the soundbar sit right underneath the TV nice and flush
August 25, 2015
These soundbar brackets barely made it on my Vizio p502ui-b1e 50 inch TV and attached the Vizio SB4051-C0 40 inch Soundbar. However it did make the soundbar sit right underneath the TV nice and flush. The brackets them selves are rated to hold up to 30+ pounds max which did a great job at holding the sound bar. However the weight of the soundbar causes the slim brackets to swicg back and forth. While this may not be an issue day to day, tilting the TV from time to time to plug in cables, one has to remember to not use the sound bar as a way to move the TV as the brackets feel like they would just bend. Overall it was a great fit and finish. Pics attached.

Mixed Feelings about This One
January 23, 2017
This sound bar is OK, but it was ostensibly made to go with my model of LG TV, and I have had a lot of trouble getting it to synch with my cable remote. Now I'm at the point where I use a separate remote for each item - cable box, TV and sound bar. Sound quality is good, but probably not worth the extra $50 I paid to get the model that was made for my TV. there are still movies that I've recorded where the sound bar has to be turned up to max, even though when I watch regular network news, I only need it at 25% volume.
Audio Cuts In and Out After Commercials
November 9, 2016
When it works, the audio is great. I have found that when coming from a commercial or a tv show introduction the background audio comes through, however the main audio track with the vocals are muted. I have to rewind the program or pause it and then restart for the main audio to come back. I changed optical cables and nothing helps. It can be very frustrating
Sounds great when it works
November 21, 2015
The wireless subwoofer works 90% of the time , even after I've moved it all around to find the best spot , even 10 feet away from the unit sitting in the middle of the floor it just stops working . It's so annoying , I'd like the put it behind my couch or at least in the corner of the room but it won't connect , which is crap. I tried to return it but just missed the window. I'm going to contact LG to see if they will do anything but it's doubtful . Should've bought the Sony....
Subwoofer stopped working after a couple of days...the replacement seems to be working great...for now.
November 16, 2015
The soundbar and subwoofer sounded great for the first couple of days. Then the subwoofer stopped working, but not completely. I could hear a faint muffled sound when i put my ear directly next to the woofer. I even turned the sound on pretty loud and I still could barely hear the subwoofer. I tried hooking it up with the HDMI (ARC) and the optical. I called LG and after going thru some SOP steps, the rep told me to send it back. Amazon was obviously great about sending out a new one. The new sound bar sounds great now. We'll see how long it lasts. It is really loud and can put out some major base. If you can get one that works, then you will not be disappointed with the sound and the price.I have not been able to figure out how to connect it with the HDMI(ARC). I was hooking it up to a new LG smart TV that has the first HDMI input designated as (ARC) (as opposed to Samsung having it on input 2) and changing the sound settings to External Speakers (Optical/HDMI (ARC)) and there was no sound coming thru at all. As soon as I connected the optical cable (and left the sound settings the same as above), the sound came in right away. I'm not sure why it's not working. The TV only has 3 HDMI ports so it was actually good that the soundbar has the optical connection since I need to use all 3 HDMIs (PS3, Cablebox, and Chromecast/Amazon Fire stick).
Average Product with a Critical Flaw

Pros:1. Product Design: Absolutely stunning including the sub-woofer. surface of sub-woofer is patterned which makes it look more high-end product.2. Auto-On function: I connected this sound bar to PF1500 (LG Projector) using Bluetooth connection since projector is about 13 ft away from this sound bar. When I turn on the projector with projector remote controller, sound bar automatically turns on as well.3. Bass is solid4 Inter-operability with LG smart TV is convenient.Cons:1. Biggest Problem. Bluetooth Connection unstable with LG magic remote: LG Smart TV's Magic Remote controller uses Bluetooth technology to connect with TV, which may interfere with audio over Bluetooth connection. However, LG developed a technology called "SoundSync" to minimize this interference. I tested and confirmed that when Magic Remote controller is in use, Bluetooth sound is unstable. To explain, audio over Bluetooth connection "stutters" if you can understand what I am trying to explain. However, when I put down the Magic Remote controller, audio becomes stable again. This might be a deal breaker for people who purchased this for Bluetooth connection.2. Auto-On function: There is absolutely no pass-code for connecting Bluetooth. This sound bar is always Bluetooth paring ready. when someone connects to this sound bar, it turns on. if you live in an apartment, your neighbor can turn your sound bar on without you noticing it. This auto-on function can be turned off, but that way you have to turn on both your TV and sound bar separately. I wish there is a pass-code for initial Bluetooth pairing.3. LED indicator in the middle is annoying: A few reviewers mentioned this earlier. It is actually disturbing when watching movie in a dark room. You can turn the LED completely off, but this way, you won't see volume changing indication. There is a dimmer function that led indicator becomes less bright. Still bright though. I wish this LED indicator on only when I make changes in sound.4.Mid sound is weak: Personally, I think Vizio's $98 model sounds a little better for the price range

Streaming music via bluetooth constantly cuts out. I've used several different devices and it does it on all of them. I've tried from all different distances. This was my main reason for buying it. Also the wireless subwoofer cuts in and out. Its less than 2 feet away from the sound bar. I should have bought a soundbar with a wired sub. What a waste. What junk. We have a vizio soundbar at work that works and sounds great. It wasnt rated as high on amazon which is why i bought this one. Shoulda bought that one anyway. More money doesnt make for a better product.Update.. If the bluetooth source isnt moving it cuts out a lot less. This means i have to take my phone out of my pocket an set it on a counter. Sound is pretty good as long as its not cutting out.

Works for me but barely
June 22, 2016
I bought this to attach my VIZIO SB3821-C6 38-Inch 2.1 Channel Sound Bar with Wireless Subwoofer (2015 Model) soundbar to the top of my VIZIO E32-C1 32-Inch 1080p Smart LED TV (2015 Model) monitor. The bottom line is that it works but barely. Only by attaching the soundbar to the very last hole in the bracket and then monitor's top most mounting hole to the very last hole in the other end of the bracket did I get it to work for me. The result is that the soundbar is now mounted to and rests on the top of the monitor and it feels stable enough but I don't have the best feeling about how this will hold up over time. Knowing what I know now and if I had to do this again I wouldn't have bought this bracket for this particular combination of soundbar and monitor.
Well made, but Universal..not for me.
February 4, 2016
First of all, I want to be clear that the only reason this is a 3 star review, is that it did not fit my application. The product does seem to be made well enough and comes with a variety of hardware (screws/spacers/washers). I'm aware that "Universal" isn't a guarantee it will work, however I hoped this may get to someone and save them the hassle of returning it.I have a Panasonic 58" S1 Series Plasma TV, the VESA mounts on the back are quite low on the set (Top hole, is about at the mid point) , and because of that it did not reach high enough to be used in my case. I planned to top mount, since this unit sits on it's base on a stand. (Not that it matters, but with a Vizio 54" 5.1 Soundbar setup). I am in the process of looking for a larger mount, and/or fabricating one from some aluminum angle bar.
its ok, but.
March 20, 2015
images are deceptive, on a 49 inch tv with 200x200 vesa mount, its impossible to align them with BOTH the top and bottom holes and have the brackets over/under the tv for the speaker, you can only use 1 set of bolt holes, additionally the instructions show for a center channel speaker to turn them with the curve "in" if you do this they touch, theres no way around it. if you put them the other way, your tv ends up looking like a demon with a cyborg eye ball.my major issue is they only have 2 black screws and nuts for the "key hole" mounted speakers, the problem? there to fat! there about two MM's to wide on the threaded shaft of the bolts for the key holes on my speakers (Onkyo HT-S3500) there are a few other bolts and one set fits, but, no nuts! they need to shave those key hole bolts a bit more or include nuts for the smaller bolts.and, the instructions is just a sheet with a few pictures, its up to you to figure it out. word to the wise? read the manual for your tv to figure out what size bolt to use. it would be a nightmare if you use the wrong size and it cracked your screen, the long bolts that came in the pack would have done that to my tv at least, i checked the manual for mine and found the right size in the pack using a ruler, there metric bolts so when they say "M6x14" they literally mean the threaded part is 6MM's diameter and 14MM's long, makes it easy to figure out which bolt is which.
With a little ingenuity, can result in a perfect installation
December 17, 2014
So the idea here is relatively simply, add a flat bracket to the back of the TV, just under the wall mounting screws/bolts.Installation was actually relatively straight-forward, except for one aspect. The design does not take into account trying to make the front of your sound bar flush with the front of the TV when installation is complete. Monkeying around with this took me a little over an hour to solve. Standard installation without this goal would probably be 15 minutes or so.My suggestion to the manufacturer is to provide a screw and a rubber tipped nut that can be placed in the lower part of the bracket, just at the bottom of the TV. It can fit in the existing slots, and would allow you to provide a small amount of pressure to the solid part of the back of the TV near the bottom edge to push the bracket backwards, allowing for the front bar to be flush with the TV. The screw would allow you to tweak the setback to be just perfect. This is what I mocked up in a cruder way, but the result was perfect.
Brackets were unfortunately *not* mirror images of each other -- there is a "handedness" to them.
November 20, 2014
I needed universal brackets to hold a center speaker (Energy Take 5) atop my 55" LCD TV. These looked like a good fit because the shape seemed to allow more options for a closer fit (since I wasn't mounting a wide soundbar), and they were offered at a lower price compared to other options. These brackets worked "ok." The biggest disappointment was that the two brackets are shaped in an odd way: They are both very slightly curved outward, but in the same direction when you lay the brackets on top of each other. So, when you flip one bracket over (so they mirror each other, and the two "ears" point at each other, as you would to mount a speaker), they end up *not laying flush against the TV* in the same way. It's as if I received two "left handed" brackets. This was extremely annoying: What it meant was that one bracket was somewhat further away from my speaker (by more than a quarter of an inch), when the other was laying flush against the speaker. Frustrated, I ended up using the gap between the brackets to actually overlap them and mount my speaker with just one screw that passed through both brackets. (That is, I had the ends of both ears actually on top of each other). If I was trying to mount an actual soundbar, I'd find this "handedness" in the brackets very frustrating and would probably end up with a somewhat wonky, uneven mounting job. Other than that, the overall shape does allow for a lot of options and positioning -- though you could probably use an extra set of hands to hold your speaker while you slide the brackets around to find the right mount points.
They work... with a lot of tinkering
March 7, 2014
These were a lot bigger than I expected. Not a bad thing, they are just pretty big. These eventually worked and did the job, but not without a lot of thinking and tinkering.I couldn't place them as directed due to the power cord placement on my 2014 Samsung LCD. The power cord placement would not let the bracket align with the mount hole on the TV. I had to place both of them upside down and flared inward. While the left one was able to aligned to the mount hole, no matter what how I rotated it, the right one would not align. I end up pinching the bracket in between the TV and the wall mount and then zip tying it in place for added support. It worked and it looks normal, but it took a lot of trial and error. There should be a better configuration and shape pattern for these brackets to be truly universal.

No Remote w/ Sound Bar
April 8, 2017
Bought the same bar, but somewhere else after returning this one....It didn't come with a remote🙄
disappointed
March 1, 2016
Disappointed have too keep adj sound , tv sound better than this
DO NOT USE W/Smart TV!! Very disappointing!
January 18, 2016
This is a good product if you don't have a Smart TV!! We JUST (5 months later) figured out that the reason our Smart TV choices keep "buffering" on a CONSTANT basis is because of this sound bar! We spent so much time questioning our internet provider, on the phone constantly with tech support and Amazon Prime, just to figure out on our own that it's the sound bar that is kicking our Smart TV choices out of use. We are SO upset about this and have to use our TV without the sound bar. The only way it doesn't interfere with our TV is when we are only on cable channels. It is too late to return or replace it so we're just out the money! It's very disappointing!!
Works, but too many frustrations and workarounds - sent it back!
December 18, 2015
Once I finally got this thing working as expected, I was thrilled with it. I have an LG TV and tried another brand of soundbars, but it didn't have the HDMI/ARC connection I preferred. Optical and wireless connections cause an audio lag, so I really wanted to try the HDMI/ARC connection. After hooking it up, it worked fine, but as soon as I changed the input on the TV and went back to watch television content, I started to have issues. The soundbar would stay on TV ARC when I went back to my Satellite input, and I would lose my video signal. If I manually switched the bar to HDMI IN, the TV would automatically switch to TV Speaker out versus the preferred HDMI/ARC External speaker, and I would then get sound from BOTH the TV and the bar!! No matter what I tried I could not get them to sync properly, when I switched one device, the other would switch as well. I guess it's my fault for assuming LG products would work well together!I found a workaround where I would change the channel and a "refershed" signal caused the bar to switch to HDMI In, as expected, but after about two weeks of working like this, it's back to what I first mentioned and nothing works to remedy the situation. I am now stuck using one of the other connections, and am back to dealing with the audio lag. Both the soundbar and the TV have a setting to adjust the lag, but neither works perfectly. Very frustrating!!As for the sound, I would give it an 8/10. I felt it was a little bass heavy, so I actually have the night mode on all the time and it sounds better. When watching an action movie, or listening to music, I would probably turn that off for the extra kick. Cranking this thing up rocks the house. It's really impressive for its size and price, but too bad I had to send it back due to the issues above. LG was useless whenever I tried to call and get help.
the sound bar should work fine with an optical cable
December 6, 2015
The sound bar keeps turning off while we are watching the tv. The only way to get it back on is to turn the television off and back on. (Turning just the sound bar off and back on doesn't work.) We've called customer service and their only advice is to switch from an optical cable to an HDMI cable or Bluetooth. We bought an HDMI cable to try but regardless, the sound bar should work fine with an optical cable. Has anyone had the same problem?

Didn't fit 55"+Vizio soundbar setup, have to visit hardware store
October 6, 2017
While it includes extensive hardware, it's not really universal in my case. For my setup, a TCL 55" and a Vizio soundbar, the brackets are several inches too short. Whether mounted below or above the TV, the soundbar can barely peek around it, even when mounted using the furthest holes on each end. Not sure if it's Vizio's fault for having wide mount points or if these brackets just don't work for TVs that are 55" and up.I'll have to hit the hardware store to try and make it work.

January 29, 2017
Does not work with Sharp Aquos 46" TV - an older model has a small ridge on the back bottom, so this product won't lay flat. Decent construction though, with lots of hardware, so I'm giving it 2 stars.
Not universal
January 7, 2017
Far from universal as far as I'm concerned. I had to Mickey Mouse the installation to get it to work with my LG soundbar
Partly Universal..
October 22, 2016
Attempted use with a LG SoundFlow Soundbar, and even with the provided bracket by LG, these bars would only reach one hole on the back of the soundbar. Bars were sturdy and I assume would work on a soundbar with two holes total instead of four. It did hold with two out of the holes secured that I needed but was too wobbly for my liking.
Doesn't mount properly on Panasonic 50"
May 9, 2013
With a presumably any recent Panasonic 50" TV (they all use the same rear panel VESA config), this thing will mount your soundbar a good 8" above the top of the TV, which looks absurd. I was able to fudge the config with some strange diagonals to get the soundbar about 5" above the top, but it's still a lot higher than planned. See in the picture, how the slats along the long end only good about halfway? That's the problem. There needs to be a third opening to be able to bring the mount down further.
Be prepared to rig your own fastener solution!
May 1, 2013
If you have a bigger soundbar with built-in mounting threads on the back, then this bracket is definitely for you. If you have the "teardrop" bracket, Sewell does not include any fasteners to attach to your soundbar. I ended up buying some locknuts and lots of trial and error, but the soundbar is not as secure as I'd like it to be on the bracket. Also, if you have a smaller soundbar (I've got a Sony CT150), you will see the tops of the bracket peeking up from the soundbar. Not ideal.

Broke after 10 months, was repaired, then broke again. Will not be purchasing LG products again.
August 7, 2017
Broke after 10 months - just wouldn't turn on one day. I went through the hassle of packaging it up and sending it back to LG. They allegedly fixed it and returned it after a few weeks. Now, 8 months later, it broke again in the exact same way. Just stopped turning on. I called back and had an absolutely terrible customer experience. They refused to stand by their product in any way - the warranty only lasts for one year and the warranty post-repair only lasts for 90 days. They don't care at all that they sold me a defective unit. I used to buy LG products regularly and recommend them, but not anymore. LG, you've lost a customer for life.
Total waste of money
February 8, 2017
Total waste of money!!! Very often, the bluetooth stops working and it is not possible to connect any device to it (phone, tablet), even if the bar is discoverable at that time. The only way to fix that issue is to restart the bar. Very frustrating!!!
Bluetooth not secure
December 3, 2016
I have a couple problems with this sound bar that have made me regret the purchase.First and most importantly there does not appear to be any security on the Bluetooth and no way to turn off the ability to connect devices to it via Bluetooth. There is no way to change the default Bluetooth pairing passcode, meaning anyone close enough to your home can pair with it, and blare music in your house in the middle of the night, or interrupt what you are watching on tv with polka music. I'm not really sure why they did not set it up to be more secure. The only way I have found to block this is by having another device on and paired with it 24 7 (not ideal).I also ran into the ocassional issue with sound cutting out. It is usually after a moment of sielence. When someone starts speaking again the first word or so that they say does not actually come through the speakers. I don't know if lg has resolved these in newer versions, but I will be avoiding LG in the future because the first issue would have been very easy for them to protect against and if they didn't think it would be a problem they have no business developing products with Bluetooth capabilities in my opinion.
Calling support will break it futher
July 3, 2016
8 months later and the subwoofer started cutting out. Called support, followed their steps to resync it, and they broke it further. Now it won't connect at all. Next they tell me to ship it to them and that it would take 21 days to get it back. Between this and the problems I've had with the TV, I'm never buying LG again.
GREAT UNTIL THE SUB STOPPED WORKING AFTER ONLY 4 1/2 MONTHS!!!
February 4, 2016
Sub stopped working after ONLY 4 1/2 months. This is very unfortunate because before the sub stopped working the sound quality was great. I was very happy with my purchase until the sub went out. The sub will connect play sound for a bit then disconnect and the sound goes away, it really reduces the viewing experience. I have tried to re-sync the sub but that does not fix the issue. I expected more from an LG product. When spending more money for a quality name brand product you expect the item to be quality and work properly, unfortunately that was not the case. I expected more for an LG product. Buyer Beware and purchase at your own risk.
Two broken units!
August 22, 2015
Do not buy! Amazon sent me two and both didn't work. The first made a horrible sound probably a bad speaker. The second they sent me stopped turning on after a month. Then when I went to return they wanted to charge me 35 dollars to restock the broken sound bar and had to fight for my money. The sound was excellent when it worked but I wouldn't buy again. We ended up buying a vizio sound bar sub and satellite speakers and are much happier.
