A Quality Diffuser!!!
June 10, 2017
I've used this diffuser daily since late 2015 and it continues to work wonderfully. The room that it is used in is roughly 100 sq feet and it fills the space with sufficient vapor nicely. Cleaning has never been an issue; the colored cone on top comes off easily for filling and cleaning. The auto shut off works well. A full reserve of water lasts roughly 6 hours. The diffuser has 2 illumination settings, 1. where the cone and power button are lit up 2. where only the power button is lit. This has never been a problem for me, but if you are going to use this in a bedroom at night and any light is going to bug you - this may not be the product for you.Generally speaking, I've been very happy with the product and would purchase again.
Wonderful product; Even better customer service!
January 18, 2016
Let me start by saying that this diffuser looks gorgeous and smells great. I use it in my bedroom and it fills the room perfectly (10'x10') without being too overpowering. I've owned this diffuser for two years and it works as well as it did when I first bought it. I don't know if I am lucky or if I have simply taken good care of my diffuser. Before I bought it, I read the Amazon reviews and noticed that many people complained about how their unit stopped working and how some thought citrus oils were the culprit. I DO use citrus oils in my ZAQ, but I dump out the excess water (there will be a little bit of water left when its done diffusing) and I wipe the metal diffusing ring with a towel when I'm done using my unit for the day. I think this helps prevent oil build-up on the ring itself which in turn prolongs the unit's life. Also, if your unit has issues, ZAQ's customer service is wonderful. I've had no issues with the quality of the unit itself, but I did lose my power cord to my pet rabbit who decided it would made a great toy. I wasn't sure how to go about finding a new cord, so I sent a message to ZAQ via Facebook and they sent me a new cord free of charge!I love my diffuser and would buy from ZAQ again.**pics of the diffuser and diffusing ring included
Best inexpensive ultrasonic diffuser available on Amazon

I did a significant amount of research before deciding to purchase this diffuser, and I'm extremely happy with my decision. This diffuser pumps out A LOT of mist (see photo) and disperses the oil smell throughout my 1000 square foot apartment in a short amount of time. I settled on the white model, a relative of mine has the blue and they are both gorgeous under any lighting condition. I emailed the ZAQ support team to ask a question about the sonic ring after a received the product via Prime. They replied with a thorough response within 24 hours. Stop looking and order this diffuser now.
Both calming and refreshing.

The first time I saw this at my daughter-in-laws house I knew I had to have it! The tranquil blue color combines with the swirls of misty fog as it sits directly next to me on my coffee table. With the dry winter air filling the house, this adds just the right amount of humidity to keep my sinuses happy. It arrived super fast, in an easy to open box, and set-up was a breeze! My only disappointment is that when it is filled to capacity with room temp. tap water, it runs for approximately 3 to 3 and a half hours, so I find myself filling it several times daily. This just confirms the fact that it adds the perfect ambiance that is so enjoyable I use it constantly! Built very sturdy and a breeze to wipe dry and refill it is well worth the cost. I plan on buying a second one for my bedroom also. I highly recommend this not only for it's calming therapy, but the warmth it adds to the dry winter air.
Wonderful!

I've just started using DoTerra essential oils and I LOVE THEM! I didn't want to pay their high price for their diffuser so I turned to my fav Amazon.

I was all set to order this in blue at $15 higher when I saw the orange. I figured I would save myself the $15 and I'm so happy I did.

It seriously works wonderfully! Granted I've never owned another diffuser, but this is very, very easy to use and works great!

I did Prime shipping and it was here in a few days. The packaging was beautiful!

The diffuser comes with 4 parts. 1. The base. 2. Electice adapter. 3. Inner cone. 4. Orange outer cone

It's very simple to assemble.

The base holds about 1/4 cup of water and 3-5 drops of essential oil. I've used 4 and it is plenty!

One of my favorite benefits of this diffuser is that it shuts off automatically when the water runs out!

The orange color of the cone tends to take on a bit of a reddish hue at the bottom where it's closer to the lights, but it still looks great. I do think the blue color would have a better ambience but I'm glad I saved $15 because I may buy another one for my family room,

The on/off button can be pushed once to turn on completely, twice to turn light off and a third time to shut off entirely. Therefore you don't need the light on at all times.

This doesn't fill an entire house. It's pretty small at about 12" high and maybe 5" diameter. You will need one for every room. I've just been moving mine from the living room then to the bedroom at night.

It puts off a huge aroma with just 4 drops and I'm thinking it runs continually for about 5-6 hours before needing to be refilled. The fan is very quiet. I can here it running but it doesn't interfere with anything.

The instructions point out several times not to tip it over. If you have small kids, you will need to keep it well out of reach as the 2 cones just sit on top of the base and the water would run out very very easily if tipped.

I love it and will be buying another one soon so I don't have to change rooms. I will buy this same product, but might splurge on the blue color for a change.

UPDATE! Jan. 19, 2014

Just a short update! The lights went out within about 4 months of use but the rest of the diffuser still works like a champ! Love it!

GREAT PRODUCT-LOVE IT
November 10, 2015
You really can't go wrong with this Infuser for the money. I bought two and they work great. I will buy more for gifts. I light the lights too, that is a plus. I chose the smaller one here because oils are very expensive and of course smaller unit, smaller amount of oils. Has good steam. Love it.
Good, robust stream of vapor
October 14, 2015
This is the second one of this type of diffuser I've purchased and I love it. It's simple in its design, yet elegant enough to not seem gawky. One thing you HAVE to do with these is run some clean water through them, without oil, at least once a week to keep them functioning properly. There isn't a wide variety of good, quality diffusers out there. Trust me, I've purchased many types and they all conk out at some point. These seem to hold up pretty well and the stream of vapor is very robust, which means a lot to me. Love it.
Love this thing!

I'm pretty new to the world of essential oils, so maybe I'm not the most reliable source and I have no experience with other diffusers, but I am really happy with this purchase. It's compact, easy to use, and quiet. The design is attractive and I like you can change the light colors or even have the light off. Though, if you want no light at all, please be advised that if you're using this for nighttime diffusing, the unit does emit some light even with the light feature on "off". There is a faint, but noticeable glow that comes from the unit when you are in a dark room.I did not have any problems at all with removing the cover. I would say the negative reviewers who mentioned that unfortunately got a defective unit.
this is the one!!
February 21, 2015
Love love love this! I actually tried several and this one is perfect! The lighting is optional, and think it's gorgeous! The stream of cool steam is a good amount and it last quite awhile! I believe it says 10 hours, but I swear it's more!
Great diffuser!
February 16, 2015
Being new to EO's I wanted to get a little diffuser to diffuse the oils I had recently purchased. This diffuser puts off lovely colors and a good amount of vapors. I put it in my DD's room the other night when she was sick and you could smell the EO's throughout the entire upstairs. Would def. recommend.
AAA+ diffuser

Simple and very efficient!
March 2, 2017
Simple and very efficient! It's my first "mister" and was very pleased with the overall coverage that it creates from just a few drops of oil.The mist begins almost instantly, which is great!I also like the low bubbling sound it makes.Wish it came in earth tones, at least a green option would have been nicer than blue. Also, wish the light on the button didn't exist.
Great diffuser.
October 27, 2016
This has been a great little diffuser for our family. It is super user friendly and works great. I love the color and the way it can light up. You can see the steam come up from it and into the air. My kids love that part. The one con is the price. I bought it a lot cheaper then it is showing now. Other than that I have no complaints. My favorite thing to use in it is peppermint oil when the kids are studying. It helps to keep them alert. I also love to use oils that help purify the air.
Disappointed**see updates
April 26, 2016
First one Did not work long! This only worked about 6 times. Now it won't turn on. Worked well when it turned on. Should have lasted more than a few months and only a 1/2 dozen uses. Tried returning it but the time limit was over for amazon returns. The company offers a one year warranty. However ZAQ will not return my inquires. I have filled out the warranty form twice and contacted them directly since Nov. 2015 and have had no response. Poor quality product and poor customer service from the manufacturer.Update: May 2016. Bombay Electronics' superior customer service replaced my broken diffuser! They responded immediately to my email concerning the warranty. I did pay for shipping the broken diffuser back.**Another update: Oct. 2016 Diffuser has been running well. Use it several times a week and its still working.
Compared to Calily and doTerra diffusers; with pictures
April 4, 2016
I love my essential oils and have been a fan of diffusers since I bought my first one, the ZAQ Allay Litemist Diffuser. If you’ll bear with me on my long review you can see my comparison between the four I currently own including this item that the review is for.First let me say, that many people may only need one diffuser. Personally, I prefer having several because we have a two story house and this way I can keep one upstairs and one downstairs at all times and not have to move mine from floor to floor. Secondly, we have three children so when illness hits the diffusers move into their rooms to cover them in essential oils as they sleep, having more than one means at least one diffuser per room and illness out sooner rather than later. Now onto the diffusers. I will post my thoughts on each one individually and then sum it up at the bottom with my personal preferences. I posted some pictures below so you see them next to each other as well to compare looks, styles, and sizes. I filled all the diffusers to the max amount accepted and timed them. The run times are in the descriptions.1.ZAQ . I have had this diffuser for about 2 years and it’s always worked great for me so that’s a plus for dependability. This diffuser is very simple and straightforward. One button to turn the mist on, hit it again to turn off the light, and then a third time to turn the diffuser off completely. I love the simplicity, no confusion or too many options. I do use a piece of black electrical tape to cover the button because even when I turn the light off the light around the button stays lit. So I cover it with tape so that when I am sleeping it doesn’t light up my room (it is very bright). The plug is big and bulky and could cover two outlets which limits where I can plug it into. The diffuser consists of two parts inside which just means more to clean in my opinion. Another thought is it’s only one color. This really doesn’t bother me and I love the blue but it is something to note for other consumers. Total nonstop run time was 5 hours and 13 minutes for one filling.2. Calily™ Eternity Diffuser Calily™ Eternity Ultrasonic Essential Oil Diffuser Aromatherapy with Relaxing & Soothing Multi-Color LED Light - Perfect for Home, Office, Spa, Etc.. This is, by far, the most beautiful diffuser I own or have seen. It’s so pretty I could just sit and watch it as it changes colors. The design is sleek and smooth and so relaxing and calming even without oils in it. Other than that it is pretty much the same as the ZAQ diffuser. One button that does it all. The colors change but you can stop it on a color by pushing the button again. If you want to change the color you have to turn the diffuser off and then on again and let the colors cycle through until you get the color you want. No timer or options here just on with light, on without light, or off- simple. I will disclose that the first time I used this diffuser I had just a couple drops of water standing at the base. No big deal but then I used it again the next day and I had a lot of water that had leaked from the middle seam of the unit down the sides. I would estimate about a full ounce. I used it again and no leak, then again and got a couple drops. So strange and seems kind of hit or miss. I sent an email to the company and they responded right away and told me that they would send another out to me. If nothing else, they have excellent customer service. I have posted additional photos to show the leakage problem on this products review. You can see those shots if you go to the link for this product. This diffuser also has a bulky plug and it holds the least amount of water and therefore runs out the fastest of the four. This is fine if you know you only need it for a couple of hours and it is the smallest of the four, which is great when you need something compact with a small footprint. I really wish there was a battery option for this diffuser because I think this one would be perfect to travel with. Also, this is a single piece lid which means less to clean and less parts to handle. This ran for 3 hours and 5 minutes and then turned off but there was still water in the base so I turned it back on and ran longer. I don’t know why it turns off after 3 hours if it hasn’t run out of water. It ran for another hour and 23 minutes after that before turning off again. Total run time for one filling was 4 hours and 28 minutes.3. doTERRA Petal doTERRA Petal Diffuser. This was my first diffuser with options and I’ve had it about a year now. I keep this one by my bedside and use it most often. It has options for 1, 2, or 4 hour intervals and a separate button for each the mist and the light. Only one color option which is fine since I usually have the light off to sleep. This diffuser has the biggest capacity between all four of these and spreads the farthest. The plug is sideways so it doesn’t block any other outlets and is easy to fit into my power strip. It is probably the least attractive of the four and has the biggest footprint which makes it a little challenging finding the space on my nightstand but it works great. Also, a one piece lid which adds to simplicity and is a plus for me. I had turned this diffuser on to 4 hours since there was no constant run option but I had it timed and was watching it so as soon as it turned off I turned it right back on again to measure the complete time of one filling. Total run time was 6 hours and 54 minutes.4. Calily Tower Calily™ Tower Ultrasonic Essential Oil Diffuser Aromatherapy with Soothing & Relaxing Multi-Color LED Light - Perfect for Home, Office, Spa, Etc.. I only just received this one so I haven’t had too much experience with it just yet. It has a lot options with it like the doTERRA diffuser. It is pretty with its changing color lights which you can lock on and off without having to turn the whole diffuser off like you do with the Eternity diffuser. There are options for constant mist or intermittent mist or completely off. There is no timer setting but I find that to be a completely preferential option and can’t say that that is either good or bad. It all depends on your needs. I love that the plug for this diffuser is actually a USB port so I can plug it into my USB hub and not take up any outlets on my power strip. It comes with the wall adapter too (which is a sideways plug so it doesn’t block other outlets) but you have the option of using that or using any USB port to run it. This diffuser seems to pour out the most mist and the funnel helps the mist be set out high though that doesn’t actually make the mist reach the highest levels between these four, as far as I could tell this one and the ZAQ diffuser both hit the same heights with \ the Petal diffuser going just an inch or two higher than these and the Eternity falling the shortest. Since this one pours out the most mist at once it requires more oil drops to make the scent noticeable. That is a fault in my opinion as oils are expensive and I don’t want to use more than is necessary but if a bad illness hits this diffuser would get the most oils out into the air the quickest. This product also came with a small cup for measuring and filling the diffuser base, it is a nice little addition but not something I will ever use. I always either fill directly from the sink or use my drinking water bottle that I always have nearby. I had a hard time with this one the first time I used it. I couldn’t get the lid to sit on it flush. I tried with great force for about five minutes then had my husband try. I read the directions over and over but it just said to put the lid on securely which I couldn’t figure out how to do. This has a two piece top so I had adjusted the inside piece a couple times but that didn’t work either. Eventually I found that there are two very small, almost invisible, lines on the inside lid piece and the base that need to be lined up. Once that is done the top lid piece slides on and locks easily. Now that I know that this is super easy to use but it took me a while to figure that out. Hopefully, this little insight can help someone else too as the directions don’t say this at all. The run time of this one is a little odd. It ran constantly for 3 hours and then seemed to turn itself off for five minutes at a time and then turn on again to run for about 5 minutes at a time. I assume this is the same as the intermittent mode but I didn’t choose that mode, I chose the constant run so I don’t know why it decided to change itself. It eventually turned off and though there was more water left in the base it would not turn back on until I added more. Total run time (including all the 5 minute intervals it was not emitting mist) was 4 hours and 45 minutes. You can see that each diffuser is unique and has their own beneficial qualities and things that make them better than the others as well as a fault or two that lowers their desirability a bit. My personal favorite is the doTERRA, mainly because of the capacity of it and the fact that it has different buttons for it’s different features. My second choice would probably be the Calily Tower for the same reasons as well as the price is great on this item! If you are looking for something just for looks and not so much the ability of the diffuser than definitely go with the Calily Eternity! It is so beautiful and the pictures and even video really don’t do it justice. The ZAQ is reliable and simple and I have no complaints about it but if I were to buy a second of any of these products it would probably be the Calily Tower because it has all the options and it is the best value for the price being asked.
Works great, but not for large room or if you have young children.
October 25, 2015
I had 3 diffusers in my home so I was grateful to receive this product to try out from the company. I have another diffuser of ZAQ that I absolutely love, so I knew this diffuser would be great. I have to say, this diffuser is perfect for a small bedroom. There is only one mist setting and it is continuous, there are no options for intermittent or slow/fast. I would not recommend this using in a larger room or a childrens' room, especially since around children under the age of 10, there shouldn't be continuous essential oils being diffused. I actually put this in my utility bathroom when you first walk into my home. This will help if there are any guests coming in my home to make my home smell fresh or if my husband comes home from a long day at the job working outside. The run time is about 3-4 hours and it does keep the smell of the oils going. This diffuser really has 2 settings, I would say, instead of 3 ( I wouldn't count off as being a setting of the unit) There is Light and Mist, or there is Light off and Mist On.I would recommend this again for a spare bedroom, bathroom, even an adult room. However, I would recommend reviewing other diffusers by ZAQ that have more options for about $20 more. Well worth the extra money if you want a diffuser for a large room or you have children.
Not bad at all!
January 4, 2014
I don't know what it is about humidifying type diffusers, but I had a hard time finding an attractive one which also had a good average customer rating. (I mean, what's up with all the weird, asymmetrical shapes?) This Allay Aromatherapy EO diffuser was the best I could do in the looks department, although it's only moderately attractive. However, the functionality and end results of this diffuser are much better than the old-fashioned heat-warmed diffusers I've always had previously.Basically you fill the water reservoir with distilled water, if you don't want hard water deposits to eventually build up inside your diffuser. It takes maybe a third cup at most I think. Then you drop in 3-4 drops of essential oil, replace the reservoir lid and the decorative outer funnel thingy, and turn it on. It works very well to scent the room while adding a touch of extra humidity -- a very helpful bonus in dry, overheated winter rooms. The built-in shutoff occurs when it runs out of water; perhaps 3 to 4 hours altogether. I really like that I don't have to monitor this myself.Just one cautionary tip: I have read in many customers' reviews of humidifying diffusers that it is not advisable to diffuse any citrus EOs in these diffusers, on the grounds that contact with citrus oils will eventually degrade the plastic they are made of, and impair the unit. On some product pages you will see customers' comments about other types of EOs (such as Eucalyptus and Pine) also being destructive to plastic diffusers. I have no idea if this is true, or just a rumor. The Allay diffuser had no such warnings printed about avoiding any specific EOs, but I have been hesitant to test citrus, pine, and eucalyptus EOs in mine all the same. This is a real shame, because these oils are among the most aromatherapeutic for people with breathing difficulties. If there is a problem with specific EOs, Allay should have notified me, so I am not sure what to think about this. Having to avoid grapefruit, bergamot, and orange EOs certainly impairs my enjoyment of this product! I *have* tried lavender, sandalwood and lemongrass in this diffuser, with no problems so far.I do like this product overall. I can recommend this diffuser as a pretty good, low-maintenance aromatherapy tool that is especially appropriate for winter use.

Good starter diffuser at great price
October 31, 2016
Great little diffuser for essential oils. I first saw a model like this at a MUJI shop in Manhattan... selling for over $75! Very glad to have searched online and found this comparable product for the same price. I have been using it for 6+ months and it's held up great through weekly and sometimes daily use. Only catch, which others have mentioned, is that the top is a little tricky to twist on. However, I sometimes halfway click it into the correct closed position and it still works great and there is no leaking. Small unit so it's spatial reach and tank capacity are limited. Still a great little product that was the perfect entry point into exploring aromatherapy.
Super quiet and love the color changes
February 3, 2016
One in each of my kid's bedrooms! We love the color changes and the ease of putting in the oils in. I would suggest it for someone in need of a smaller diffuser for a small room or bathroom. So little oil is needed because it is a smaller unit - that is another plus in my eyes. The light makes an awesome night light or pretty addition to the bathroom. My teens know how to open the diffuser and fill it up, so it is very simple to use. There are different timed settings that make it customizable for what they are wanting to diffuse. Definitely a favorite in our house!
Good for a Small Rooms
August 1, 2015
The diffuser looks great no matter if the light is on or off. I love the colors it changes to (that you change yourself, it does not change by itself) and the fact that you can use it with the light on or off. It basically starts working as soon as you put it on (it has an on/off switch) and if it runs out of water it shuts itself off. It is small so the maximum setting of 3 hours is plenty to run out/get low on water anyways. The only thing is it is a bit smaller (less vapor) than I expected so the smell of the oils isn't as I expected but it does work well in the bathroom.
Super happy with purchase!
July 25, 2015
Okay, I was skeptical (I am always skeptical buying online) but I love this little diffuser. Why not 5 stars? Because I rarely ever give 5 stars and I've only had it a week. The mist is nice-it actually is how it shows in the pics and maybe even better tbh. The cap can be tricky at first but not too difficult-you twist (maybe 1/4 inch) pull and fill it to the line. Fairly simple. I've been using eo's in it and am happy with the distribution of the oils. The light is cool, although for funzies I kind of wish there was a auto rotation but I do like choosing my night light color. Everything seems to be good with it so for the price I would recommend!
Good diffuser for my daughter's room
April 27, 2015
Smaller than expected but since it's going in my daughter's room that's actually good. The design is pretty and she loved that feature (she's 7). I like that it won't take up as much room! I'm confused by the product description which is the reason for four not five stars (and we just started using it minutes ago so it's early). The description says the light can be used in manual or automatic mode, but based on what I'm finding in the instructions and by messing with the light button, manual is the ONLY option. The colors are bright, and what I thought was pink is actually red. There are two brightness settings for each color, and the more muted settings are definitely my preference. The mist output seems decent, but the product title calls it a "humidifier" and then in the description I read something about "dry" output. Obviously it uses water so I'm not sure what's meant by that. Just went in my daughter's room after it had been on 5 minutes and the fragrance is good! Overall I think this will be a great extra diffuser. I didn't want to have to keep moving my other one around and I definitely love having our Young Living oils diffusing at bedtime for sinus/allergy support and for relaxation!
Great, yet watch for condensation.
April 6, 2015
This was a cheaper alternative than buying an $80+ diffuser, and for a newbie, this worked just fine. There is the fact that condensation tends to block the opening that lets out the vapor, however this is easily fixed by taking off the lid and wiping it down at the end of the day's use.The size is great, and compact enough to take wherever you'd like.Assembly was extremely easy, and I like the variety of light settings that are available.Overall, I am satisfied with the product.

Not bad for the price
March 18, 2017
This is a nice looking, petite diffuser that has a fairly good output. In all fairness, I have only used Young Living diffusers, which are excellent and much higher priced. I needed an extra diffuser for my daughter's room so decided to give this a try. What I do not like about this unit is that when you opt to turn off the light for, let's say over night diffusing, the power button remains lit and can be distracting when trying to fall asleep. When you want a light off, you want all the lights off. My daughter had to put duct tape over the power button.
Great for small space and short use
November 17, 2015
This is our second diffuser. The things I like about this one are that it has a continuous flow and is small and compact. I don't like that is has a continuous flow because it shuts off pretty quickly. I like to diffuse in our school room during the day. Well, i find that im refilling this machine several times during our normal day. The other diffuser we have tried gets filled 1x a day and runs all day. I am however impressed with the aroma that this diffuser provides. When it is active and on it fills a good size room. I recommend this for a beginner to diffusing and someone who has a small space. This would be an excellent choice for massage therapists to use in their therapy rooms or for an individual diffusing thieves for illness.
Maybe I placed too little oil or the oil I am using is not really good. I will try putting 10 drops next time ...
October 30, 2015
I received my new diffuser in a timely manner. It is my first time using an essntial oil diffuser. It is affordable and cute. However, it is really small and when i tried placing it in a small room i could not hardly smell the essential oil diffusing unless i walk really close to the diffuser where the steam is at.. I don't know if it really works that way but based on what I read I should be smelling it all atound the room. I used Now brand essential oil about 5 drops on the diffuser. Maybe I placed too little oil or the oil I am using is not really good. I will try putting 10 drops next time and see how it works..Will update my review after I tried other brand of essential oil but for now for me it doea not work the way I am expecting it.
Very nice, but automatic shut off quit working
January 9, 2015
I really like this diffuser and one of the plusses was that it had an automatic shut-off when the water ran out. However I woke up one night and noticed it on when I knew it should have shut off, and I checked it, it wasn't emitting anything and I shut it off. That morning I checked the water level and there was only a drop left. The shut-off worked the first two times and then failed the second and third times. I still really like this, however this was really just a purchase to see if I liked a diffuser, I am thinking about getting one that lasts 8 hours so I can have it on all night. If anyone who is reading this can recommend a good 8-hour diffuser please leave a comment. Thanks!PS; if I don't wake up in time to shut it off, and it stays running without water, will it catch on fire?ETA: The last several times I have used this, the automatic shut-off has worked. Only one time did it not shut off, and when I opened it the water was gone, but it was very misty. Somehow the mist did not leave the container like it was supposed to.
Good diffuser for the price, wish it had an intermittent function
November 4, 2014
I bought two diffusers around the same time. This one was a little cheaper and, as such, it seems that it's not as high of quality as the more expensive one. I have no idea if it's an element of getting what you pay for, but at first this one seemed to work great! Then it started only running for a short time and turning off, even though it was still full. I do clean it occasionally with rubbing alcohol as the packaging suggested and that seems to remedy the issue for a couple of uses. This diffuser has no intermittent function (which, as it turns out, I really like on my other diffuser) and it emits quite a large amount of mist, making whatever surface it's sitting on wet if run continuously!!I like this diffuser and think it works well. I would prefer it to be able to run intermittently and emit a little less moisture. This only runs for about 3 hours when completely full, which usually does the job but I'd prefer it to run longer for night time use. Overall it's a good product.
MINE DOES "CONDENSE"
November 28, 2013
The details clearly state: "No condensation". I had mine on a high chest of drawers the first few nights, having purchased it for aiding insomnia. Since I couldn't see the surface it took me touching it to discover the top of the furniture was wet. I checked it because I was curious about the "mist" streaming downward (see photo). After that, I had to put a towel down on the dresser top, AND I had to turn a fan on in front of the "diffuser" to get the mist to disburse throughout the room. I haven't been using it since the weather has gotten colder because cold keeps me awake. Since I bought it to help me sleep the whole purpose was defeated simply because it DOES HAVE CONDENSATION. I suppose I can use it in the kitchen because the countertops can get wet, but, as with most people, I have enough to plug in there. Needless to mention, but I will anyway: I'm disappointed. I scanned the reviews looking for others that may have had the condensation problem, but I didn't see it. I hope someone will answer my question and will have arrived at a solution to the problem. I would really like to use it. BTW: The photo looks pink, but mine looks more red. I'm glad about that. For some reason the blue one costs more, but it wasn't available when I bought mine. The orange looked too hall-o-weenish for me. I don't understand that celebration.

The product shipped very quickly and it worked perfectly the first time. But now it doesn't work as well. There is hardly any "humidifier" coming out of the hole and I can barely smell the oils I put in. If I keep it right next to my bed I can smell it and it gets the job done but I really didn't want it that close to my bed.

November 5, 2015
I purchased 2 of these diffusers on faith, and was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked them. They sufficiently diffused 2 different spaces approximately 400sq' (at home and in my office). The kids I work with at my office loved the different light colors. My only complaint is that both diffusers just stopped providing mist after about 2 1/2 months. I wouldn't order them again knowing that I'd only get a little over 2 months worth of use out of them.
Hard to open and it stops working if you tip it to pour out old water.
April 30, 2015
The product says on the top do not tip the body and it means it! All I did was tip the reservoir over to pour out water that had one oil in it so I could change oils and afterward the thing would not work! I had to let it sit overnight and then it started working again. Now I have to let it run until all of the water is gone and just wipe it out so that it does not get water somewhere it is not supposed to be and quit working. It also has a super tight locking mechanism. It is very hard to open and oil with out sloshing the water around. I can see where someone with arthritis would not be able to get it open at all. I have a doterra diffuser at work and it is so much easier to open and use, plus it doesn't stop working if you pour the water out of it! The only reason I am keeping it and giving it 3 starts is because it is half the price of the doterra diffuser and the best rated out of the cheap diffusers.
Works amazing (the first time only)
April 4, 2015
Pros: small but efficient. LOVE the timer feature. Colors are bright. Mist seems better than the YoungLiving ones.Con: it's super hard to clean. It's diffucult to unplug from unit to wash it. I've tried so many different things to get the residue off the bottom after the first time using it. Now when I put in other oil, it smells like an extreme combo. This would be perfect if it was easier to clean and remove previous fragrance

Disappointed Customer
December 27, 2016
I have had this diffuser for about two weeks and it just broke yesterday while trying to use it. Before it broke, I would have rated this a 5 star diffuser! Very easy to use, a clearly indicated 'fill line', two light modes (on/off) which is great for use while sleeping, and extremely quiet! The mist gently comes out the top for a relaxing experience with an amazing smelling room! When trying to use it yesterday, I did everything as normal. I had cleaned the machine prior to use so I know that isn't the problem. At first I noticed it wasn't making any noise and no mist was coming out. Then after about an hour or so, the machine turned off completely. Now it won't turn back on at all! I'm very disappointed because, as mentioned above, I've been so very satisfied with this product!
... it tried it out for 3 days wasn't really satisfied with the product
September 12, 2016
Got it tried it out for 3 days wasn't really satisfied with the product. The mist was not as strong as I would of liked it and for $40 eeeehhhh I don't think it's worth that much. My room is about 170sqft and I was the only one who was able to smell the EO goods and reap the benefits being that it was on my night stand. I think this would be best for a bathroom use. Just left UPS, mailing it back to Amazon.
Not worth the price, doesn't fill small room
November 29, 2015
The product works as stated, BUT, in a closet, in my case. Might as well buy a vaporizer and use the oil (which is expensive in its own right) if one wishes to aromatheraphy a bigger room. This puts out a mist about 1/4 inch thick, 3-5 inches high. I have mine right next to bed, a foot from my face and hardly smell it. I cannot smell it in entire room, would need 3-4 (as some have stated getting more for 1 room). This little thing not worth 26-30 bucks, when a larger vaporizer same price that lasts longer and fills a room with aroma.I bought 2 different variations and neither put out a smell over a couple feet if that.
Only Lasted 80 Days
May 11, 2015
I normally don't take the time to write reviews, but after this died on me in less than 90 days feel like I need to.The good: First off it did work great (for the short time that it was working) and it looked very nice with blue led lights. It ran for about 4 hours(ish) before automatically turning off and it put out a strong mist of vapor. The bad: It's hard not to get mad when an item that had worked perfectly for 2 1/2 months just suddenly stops working 2 min after turning it on. I opened it up to see if maybe a wire had come loose or something. But as expected everything looked fine on the inside. I thoroughly examined all the components and the only logical conclusion is it's just made with cheap crappy parts from China (circuit board and power supply)... If you're going to spend $35 on something (that lists for $60), I expect it to last longer than 80 days... We've purchased several other diffusers the past couple of years (including used ones) and none of them have ever died let alone this quickly. I personally will find another brand when I replace this.
Doesn't last long
April 3, 2015
I'm disappointed in this diffuser because there are so many positive reviews. I use quality DoTerra essential oils, clean between uses according to directions, and use room temperature tap water as directed. It is beautiful when it lights up, and my daughter was very excited. My problem is with how long it lasts. For the first hour of use it puts out a great amount- my daughters room is small, and I can smell the lavender and peppermint down the hall. We shut it off after about an hour. When I go to turn it on in the evening, I see the mist coming out, but no smell unless I hang my head over it. Like I said, it's a tiny room. The diffuser is still at least half full. I'm not sure what the problem is. The water is still room temp and at least half full. This is a waste of my pricey oils and no help to my daughter's allergies.I've contacted the company and have yet to hear back. I hope I do, because it works wonderful when you first fill it. If I don't hear soon I will be returning to Amazon and finding something new.
Diffuser yes! JUST NOT THIS ONE!
March 21, 2015
Update: after owning this diffuser for a few years I have decided I will never pay more than I have to for one. This diffuser over time (just after your warranty expires) ceases to function properly; sometimes it shuts off when it's full- sometimes it goes on without stopping even though it is empty. The button now sticks and I am generally displeased w/ the purchase. I've replaced it with an Innogear Diffuser at a third of the price with better features and an array of colors (not just the one your get because of the color of the shade). I like that one so much, I will go buy a second one of those :D. This seems to be an unnecessarily overpriced item, for people who think you have to pay more for a snooty name. The innogear diffuser is just better. Today, I downgrade this review from a 5 (initial impression) to a 2 (after owner experience).Original review: This mister is a nice addition to a small bedroom, we found that in a room larger than that... it didn't seem to help much (as in for health purposes/you can't smell it). It's good to keep it there anyway, since that's the room you want to use it in when you're sick and can't sleep! Mine is right on my headboard, and the glow can be turned off if you like. The button still has a some light coming from it however. The "misting" has a small hissing type sound, the bubbling water inside the device can also be heard but is pleasant like a fountain would be. The motors noise is very slight and not a deterrent at all. I would gladly purchase again, but would consider a different model that could be used in a larger room.

There is no option for "on" like the specs say there is.
July 18, 2017
It says in the specs that you can select "on" to have it just run but there is no option for "on" on the unit. It only cycles in the 4 timed modes which means it is constantly going off."Timing Set: 4 Timers(You can set 30/60/120/180 minutes to let the device to turn off automatically or just choose "on" for turning off manually)."

May 20, 2017
I have the large one and love it, however the small one doesn't work and I didn't find out until I tried to use it on my first day of vacation! I'm hoping a return is at my house before I get home!
Terribly Disappointed
November 20, 2016
I was looking forward to receive this product. As soon as I got it, I usted it and it work es just fine. And THAT WAS IT!! I have not been able to turn it on again!! I am so disappointed because I live in South America and have to wait until someone can bring things for me because the S&h is too expensive. So, now I have a diffuser that does not work!!!!! I have still to try the one I bought for my sister as a gift.

December 14, 2015
I purchased this back in February 2015. While I do use it almost every day, I take care of it with regular cleanings. The last few days I have noticed that it's not diffusing as well as usual. I clean it again and nothing changed. I also noticed that it's starting to get warm at the base, and so is the liquid. So, I stopped using it. I have another diffuser that I purchased 4 months before this one and it's still going strong. Just disappointed because this is pretty cute and my girls loved the design for their room.
Not what I hoped
November 21, 2015
It wasn't what I hoped for. Perhaps I just don't use it correctly. However, I followed the directions carefully and it just didn't seem to diffuse the essential oil scents. My sense of smell is very sensitive, but I couldn't smell anything coming from this until I was within a foot or two of it, and even then it wasn't much. It's been just sitting on a shelf, waiting for me to try it again one of these days and see if I can make it work next time.
it's cute but has some issues i couldn't overlook
March 7, 2015
i really wanted to like this product. it's a good size, it's cute and it was fairly inexpensive, however still too much money for the quality issues it has. first, the design smudged . i could live with that, then the light decided it turns on only when it wants to turn on. it stained orange from my tangerine essential oil, and now it is becoming harder to fit the top to the base. i've had it less than a month and i am very disappointed. will not buy this brand again.

Do not buy
February 18, 2017
I bought this diffuser quite a while ago and never really used it. Now that I am wanting to use it it has been nothing but trouble. At first it would run for about 30 seconds and then turn off. When I turned it back on it would do the same thing over and over and over again... now it will run without shutting off but it is running hot. I noticed a plastic smell and went to pick it up to see what was wrong and the inside of it where the water and oils go was very hot. This is supposed to be a cool mist diffuser and heat ruins the oils that I am putting in it. I contacted the company and they said they could not do anything to help resolve the issue because I ordered it so long ago. I am very disappointed in this purchase.
It broke after just 4 months of use!
September 29, 2016
It broke after just 4 months of use! I shouldn't have to replace a diffuser after just 4 months of use!Not only will it not work, it got very very warm. Not something I'm willing to plug back in again and risk a fire over. A total waste of money!
Wonderful...for the 7 months it worked...
September 17, 2016
When I first got this diffuser, I was really impressed. So much so, that I purchased one for my office, and gave one to my mother for Christmas. Last night, after my husband prepared a particularly garlicky pasta, I decided to run the diffuser. This was the first time I've used it in about 2 months. After less than 10 minutes, it stopped. At first I thought a breaker had been tripped, so I moved it to another outlet and plugged it in. Nothing. Then I went and got the AC adapter from my Oakleaf diffuser in my bedroom and tried it. Nothing. My Zaq diffuser is officially dead, and I'm outside of the return window. I wonder how much longer the other two I purchased will last...
Cooks the oils.
June 24, 2015
This thing really gets warm. So warm in fact that the water is heated like it was on a stove! Base and plug also got too warm for comfort. Checked the steam coming out and it too seemed warm. Yes, it's nice looking and gives out a decent amount of mist but you don't want a diffuser running this hot. It's not good for the oils and could be potentially dangerous if left unattended. Not taking a chance with another. Return.
Disappointed in this one....
February 26, 2014
I have to say that I initially purchased the ZAQ Dew diffuser, and then right after I purchased mine, it was no longer available. I wanted to buy two more for gifts and my daughter saw the blue one and said she really wanted that one, so I bought her one, and the same one for my daughter in law, then I bought a second one for myself, and it worked ok for awhile, but then it would automatically shut itself off after about 10 minutes, so I thought maybe I needed to clean it out so I wiped it out and tried it again and it worked a little better but would still shut off before it ran out of water, so today I got tired of dealing with it and am sending it back while I still can. I bought all 3 in blue and they ended up being from 3 different companies selling through Amazon. My defective one came from Bombay Electronics I've checked with my daughter and daughter in law as to how their diffusers are working and they seem to be fine so far, so perhaps mine must be defective, although it seems several others are having the same problem, so maybe it was a bad batch? I'm unsure if I want to buy another one of these or not. I was frustrated that more expensive diffusers seem to quit working after about 6 months, but this one didn't even last 1 month. I really hope that the other 2 that I bought as gifts continue to work. I liked this while it worked, but can't rate it as high as I'd hoped to since it didn't last. I paid $52.00 each for the ones I bought. I likely will wait to see if the others I bought end up lasting before I try purchasing another one to replace mine...
Stopped Working After Less Than 15 Uses...
December 9, 2013
I knew the risk based on all the 1-Star Reviews, but took a chance. I used it a couple of times when I first purchased it in August and it worked fine. Then last month I started using it again, and after a about 10-12 days (using it every couple of days) it abruptly stopped working today. For the exorbitant price of $52.99 it should work for years and years and years. It's only a vaporizer, not rocket science. Nice when it worked, but not worth the risk!Bottom line: DO NOT BUY!!!!

Cover sticks
December 6, 2015
This unit was very nice and worked perfectly at my desk at work, but when I brought it home for use in my son's bedroom and ran it consistently for longer durations, it must have heated up the plastic inside and the cover would no longer come off - I finally pried it off and it's almost like someone glued the cover to the unit. I cleaned it up, scrapped the melted plastic off best I could - and that worked for about a week and the cover is now stuck again. it's the weirdest thing, I have never seen this before with any other diffuser I've owned.
I totally hate it and wish I could have returned it
July 22, 2015
I wanted to send this back but it was beyond the return date. The essential oils melted the plastic making it impossible to remove the top without prying it with a knife. The marking wore off immediately and there was no way to tell how to line up the top with the controls on the base. It requires constant refilling and only runs for a short period of time. I totally hate it and wish I could have returned it. The colors are nice though. If you are going to use essential oils, it is totally impossible to use. I would never recommend this and it has to be hooked up to a USB port which is also a huge problem to have available when trying to charge your phone at the end of day when you are most apt to use a disfusser. As far as in the car, forget it - one turn and its all over the carpet or upholstery, Do not even take it in the car,
Inwas looking for something easy to use and not over priced
June 11, 2015
I was looking for something easy to use and not over priced. I was so excited to get this. But to my dissapointment, it worked for two days on the 60 minute setting and then nothing! It just stopped working and no mist or aroma came out the third time. I tried it several times but no luck. I used filtered water and a couple.of drops of lavendar essential oil, organic and good quality. I do not recommend this product!
I got a lemon
February 8, 2015
My guess is that you either get a great diffuser or a lemon with this one. I got a lemon. If put out very little mist for 20 minutes, then stopped. It would never start again, though I tried several times and added more water. The light feature still works (the light is supposed to go out if the mist stops). Amazon promptly refunded my money (thank you, Amazon!). I ended up getting the Unitrex - Aroma Mist Ultrasonic Essential Oil Diffuser by SpaRoom. It's more money, but it works SO well.So...take a chance if you want on this one--but you may get a lemon.

November 3, 2014
It hardly emits anything. I can't even smell the oils I am trying to diffuse. I was replacing one that I broke from Young Living, and this is not even close in quality. Super disappointed. No returns offered. :(
