I like this blower
June 20, 2016
I like this blower. Does a great job blowing the grass off the driveway, steps, patio, and blowing out the garage. My 45 minutes a week after yard cuts in the summer sun with a broom is now replaced with a ten minute effortless stroll with this blower! Just what I wanted, and for under 60 bucks I did not intend to try it for heavy leaf blowing as it is not made for that. Great for blowing out dirty fans and under the riding mower to keep the belts clean too. Also like it to blow the bike dry after a wash. Works well and makes life a little easier...its a winner.
This is perfect for quick clean-up jobs on my patios
May 13, 2016
This is perfect for quick clean-up jobs on my patios, sidewalks and driveways. My son has a high-powered gas blower but it stinks up our clothes when we use it and it scatters debris more than this little electric one. I bought the Earthwise so I wouldn't have to wait for someone else to do the blowing and it's perfect. It's lightweight, so I don't get worn out, and it lasts just long enough to get the job done. By the time I'm getting tired, the battery is beginning to lose power, so it forces me to stop and take a break when I really need to. I love coming home to a clean patio and front sidewalk every day, not just when someone has time to help me. I also feel a lot better about my impact on the planet using this blower.
I'm so happy with this blower and the good reviews helped me decide to buy one
November 21, 2014
Being my husband is a gardener, so I really wanted to make sure that I bought a product that he wouldn't make 'fun' of. I read all the reviews on this blower and ordered one. I am thrilled with this little thing! It has the power to blow the white birch leaves just after it rained (yes we got a little rain in California) and cleaned up my large patio in a hurry! It's lightweight, but has enough power to blow leaves that were wet and stuck to the patio. I just received it yesterday and I'm already thinking of who I can order one for, for Christmas!
Great cordless blower
May 1, 2012
Bought another brand of cordless blower from a big warehouse seller. It had minimal power and the battery only lasted about 10 minutes. This blower has great power, is not too noisy and blows off my whole driveway (long), three patios and still has power. Big plus is that it is also light weight. This blower was about the same price as the other famous brand. Liked it so much that I ordered another one and had it sent to my son. THIS IS A WINNER.
Great small-area leaf blower!
September 20, 2009
I've had this leaf blower for about a month, and I use it to clear off my 12' x 14' deck and same-sized driveway. It's lightweight, super easy to use, and exactly what I was looking for! Not only do I use it for leaf-blowing, but it works for clearing debris from my plantings as well as blowing small amounts of standing water after rainstorms (mosquito control). The battery lasts for approximately 3 cleanups--not quite as long as I would expect, but this is only a minor inconvenience because it could be charged after every use (the battery doesn't have a 'memory').

Cut the cord
September 7, 2017
I really like this Dewalt blower. It has good power, and I love not having to drag the electrical cord around. It was a real hassle blowing the leaves and debris off my roof with that electrical cord. Now I am free of that. I love this tool, and I think you will too.
The blower works great. I need a replacement battery
August 17, 2017
The battery only lasted 6 months. The blower works great. I need a replacement battery.
You gotta love the battery powered tools.
December 28, 2016
This blower works as well, if not better than the gas blowers that we have. The advantage it has over gas is that when you let off the trigger the blower stops so that repositioning to blow again is easier. The battery lasts a long time , however, you need 2 batteries if you are going to use it a lot. Right now we use it to clean up our cabinet shop and job sites so only having one battery is not a big issue for us.
Best Blower
August 25, 2016
I love this blower. It has plenty of power and I can do my entire yard 8 to 10 times before charging. My only complaint was the price I paid. After purchasing there was a major price drop. I bought the blower and trimmer together and I am very happy with both. The blower is mainly made to run on the right side of the operator because of where the air intake is located.
Very Useful, but heavy
November 6, 2015
This is a great supplement to my existing leaf removal equipment. I live on a heavily wooded lot. I currently have 2 corded electric blower, a Little Wonder wheeled leaf blower and a Cyclone Rake attached to the back of my Lawn Tractor. Fall is a tremendous amount of work.

There are some areas of the yard where a leaf blower is most useful. Unfortunately, some of those areas require a 150 foot long extension cord. This becomes very cumbersome to work with. There are issues with the cord getting tangled in other objects (rocks, trees, vehicles), plus getting that much cord out and then storing is a bit of a pain.

I really didn't want another piece of gas powered equipment to maintain. Between lawn mowers, power washers, weed whackers, it's enough work.

This works very well for those areas that are more than 50 feet from the house. I still use corded blowers for areas less than 50 feet to maximize the utility of this unit. It seems more powerful than the corded blowers and lasts about 30-45 minutes on a single charge. It is quite heavy with the 6 amp battery. Heavy enough that my wife asked about a shoulder strap. As others have noted, it's a bit difficult to use with your left hand as it must be held away from your body due to the position of the intake.

I'm hoping the battery lasts a long time as the replacements are very expensive ($250).

Quiet and perfect for small areas
May 21, 2016
Quiet, light weight and perfect for small spaces, especially if you've got neighbors who don't like noise. The battery only lasts about ten minutes on a full charge, and I use it to clear debris off of my patio and around my small pool. I also use it to blow fallen magnolia leaves off of the grass, but it's just barely powerful enough to move such big heavy leaves. If you need a lot of power, or want to clear off a large area, this isn't for you. It's perfect for me, though. I even use it to blow the dust out from under furniture in the house.
Great light duty blower
May 17, 2016
This blower is perfect for light clean up. This blower is not very powerful, I use it to supplement my gas-powered blower. I mostly use it to keep the porches and garage clean in between mowings. The only negative I could say is battery life. I wish the battery lasted a bit longer. The battery typically lasts long enough, but you must recharge it before the next use.
One tip: The blower does not have a trigger, it is an on/off switch. So if you blow the porch and then want to walk around to the garage, shut it off. The blower does not go to idle speed like a gas blower. All-in-all, this is a great addition to my gas powered blower, I'm happy with it.
Not bad for light-weight small jobs
April 17, 2014
As with all battery-operated devices (my experience), one can not expect very much usage on a single charge. This unit does an ok job on small-distance, very lightweight items such as tiny twig bits and items with a "surface". Small leaves are a problem for it on concrete....maddening at times to get them to move and just burns up the power. I use this mainly for flower hulls that fall from a large eucalyptus tree here. Have to really review your needs and requirements with this item. (I find it useful too for blowing the dust from my car exterior!)UPDATE October, 2015: Know that the battery they sell for this item @ 30 bucks has a realistic lifespan of perhaps seven (7) months when only used for less than four minutes once weekly. After that the power output starts to significantly flag and shorten and the recharge time becomes painstakingly long.
Good light weight leaf blower
January 11, 2014
This is a good leaf blower for blowing off your deck or patio or sidewalks. It gives you just enough battery time to do that. This IS NOT a leaf blower made to blow the leaves in your yard.It doesn't have enough power or battery time to do that.It is a great leaf blower when you need to quickly blow off your deck, patio or sidewalks. The button to turn it on is big.You flip the button and the blower is on and stays on until you flip the button off. It's easy to be lazy and leave the power on while you have to occasionally pick something up,but you will use just enough battery that you won't be able to finish your job. It's easy just to turn it off when you're not blowing the leaves.

Great product with decent battery life.
August 26, 2017
My only complaint would be that the battery life goes quick. I get about 20 minutes out of a full charge. Otherwise, it would be a 5-star product. Dewalt is super reliable for me.

Working good.
My second blower - First one died, yet I still recommend these.
November 24, 2016
This is my second Dewalt 40V blower that I've purchased. The first one died after about a years worth of heavy use. While the blower is a bit pricey, it is extremely convenient. I have nearly all of the other 40V products from Dewalt and the batteries being interchangeable really limits my need for too many batteries.

Battery Time: you can count on getting about an hour of use per charge and the battery will recharge in well under an hour. That means if you are like me and have a large property to keep clean, you can get 100% usage rotating out two batteries. I've had my batteries for just over a year now and they are still going strong. I use this every weekend for about 4 hours.

While you pay more for this vs some of the gas powered blowers, it has plenty of power for me to move up to 2 in. rocks that have been kicked into my driveway. I rarely use a broom anymore! .... and I don't have to breath the gas fumes either!

Summary: Highly Recommend this blower and the Dewalt 40V system. You won't be disappointed!

Update: My first blower broke after a belt inside it broke. I am sending it back for repairs to Dewalt under warranty so I'll end up having two blowers. I guess my son can join me now and we can knock things out in half the time!
Not happy about
August 22, 2016
However the engine siezee up exactly one year after I purchased it.. Not happy about that
the device does a wonderful job and I truly like not having to work ...
March 1, 2016
The device is heavy as others have said and is a challenge for left handers (my wife) with loose clothing due to the air intake being on the right side of the blower. I also find it does not have as much air output as comparable gasoline models. That said, the device does a wonderful job and I truly like not having to work with gas and oil. The operating time on a full charge is about 20 minutes which I find adequate for most tasks around my house. I would recommend to a friend.

I've used it to blow off my deck of hickory nuts and leaves....it's light weight and does the job but it doesn't have a lot of power...it has to be charged before each use if has set any length of time without using...looses power after only a few minutes of use which is no problem for me since my deck is small...
Just okay.
December 16, 2014
The battery doesn't last very long. I have had my blower about 4 years, and I am on my second battery. After a while they just don't hold a charge any more. I've opted to try a different brand now that my second battery needs replacing.
Not 140mph as advertised!!!
December 20, 2012
Even though this product is advertised as being 140mph, the manual it comes with clearly states that it is only capable of speeds up to 130mph. The 10mph difference might not seem like much, but believe me, it makes a difference. I really did not want anything lower than 150mph, but due to the convenience of not having to worry about the cords and electric outlets I was burdened with while using by electric blower, I settled for this product. My yard is rather large, so the cordless option seemed ideal. However, this product dies down pretty quickly and I cannot blow off both the back porch, pool area, separate patio area, driveway, and sidewalk in the front yard after cutting the grass without the battery dying. Instead, I have compromised by having the battery fully charged, cutting the front yard, blowing off the front yard area, then putting the battery back on the charger while I cut the back yard and blowing after. This way, the battery has enough power to do my entire yard. All in all, if you have a small yard and don't need much power, this product is ideal. I'm sure it works great for a barber shop or something like that, but is not really for any heavy duty work.
Too Weak and Dies Too Fast
September 5, 2012
I bought this so I could have something to keep upstairs and just jump out on the porch roof (which collects the most debris) to blow it off quickly. The debris is mostly smaller twigs, leaves, acorns, etc. from our oaks. It just doesn't handle it very well. At full power, it takes a good bit of back and forth to get the twigs moving. Dust and individual leaves are fine, of course. But I can't get even the whole porch roof done (admittedly it is a large porch) before needing to switch batteries--I have another one from the chainsaw. So truly, only buy this for very light duty work--like dust, minimal dry leaves, and ideally smooth surfaces. And don't plan on it working for a long time, either.

So I am not pleased that a $400 blower died before its time but ...
November 13, 2016
After 14 months the unit stopped working and gave me the whining sound. I brought it to the DeWalt service center and they said that, even though it is out of warranty, they have had numerous complaints and would fix it for free. Repair took two weeks and they shipped it directly to my home. So I am not pleased that a $400 blower died before its time but I am pleased that the manufacturer took care of it. What I don't know is if they've rectified the underlying cause of all these failures; I guess time will tell.

As far as performance goes, the battery life is good and it blows almost as well as my gas Echo. I have had issues with the switch not working, which is fixed by re-seating the battery. I'm left-handed and this is definitely a right-handed blower - otherwise your pants get sucked into the intake. I find myself having to hold it awkwardly with two hands if I can't keep it far enough away from my body.

October 22, 2015
Positives are the convenience of no cord or messing with fuel. Negatives are 1) it is heavy to use and 2) it doesn't blow directionally very well due to the lack of a flat end where the air comes out.
OK
July 29, 2015
It is kind of weak compared to my Shindaiwa gas/oil blower. As an example, this Dewalt will not blow wet grass very well if at all. It would be helpful as one reviewer mentioned if they would put a tip on the blower making the opening smaller and thus the wind more concentrated. Compared to say a Homelite this blower is about on par but compared to commercial equipment such as Shindaiwa it falls well below par. Would I buy it again? If you have the money to spare it is very nice not to deal with fuel at all and the battery lasts 20 - 30 minutes. For standard dry grass clippings on a driveway or side of the road it will do perfectly.
Less wowed after replacing two of these...
July 15, 2015
Fantastic! Unbelievable power for a battery-powered blower. The weight is well distributed, which makes it easy to handle. The variable speed trigger has a smooth action. This is a high-quality product with loads of power.

Alright, I was initially blown away (couldn't resist that) by its power and battery life. Unfortunately, the motor life wasn't very good in the first two. One motor burned out after three months of pretty light duty work (blowing lawn clippings on my small yard). The second motor burned out after about five months. I will say that DeWalt has stood by their product and replaced both of them. I'm waiting for my latest replacement to arrive, and hope that DeWalt has run out of the defective motors :-)

Disappointed in this item. After reading the reviews I had much higher expectations. It doesn't hold a charge long at all, only a few min. It's power dies out FAST and then it's pretty useless. We just let our 6 year old play with it now.
From day one, the battery just can't keep up
October 7, 2015
I fell for this on Black Friday from the good reviews. Maybe I just got a dud, but this thing is just terrible. From day one, I would start it from a fresh, fully-charged battery and within 30 seconds you could hear the motor start to wind down. After a minute and a half or so, the motor would stabilize at a lower speed and stay there for 10-15 minutes, but the blowing output at the stable motor speed was slower than just sweeping or raking.I had such high hopes for a quick blower I could use for my small back patio on a couple-times-a-week basis, but it can't even seem to do that. Very disappointed.
quiet and not smelly or dirty for my wife to blower the patio and pool ...
June 20, 2015
lightweight, quiet and not smelly or dirty for my wife to blower the patio and pool deck. we bought this for light duty so she didn't have to use my heavy duty gas blower [Hitachi RB24EAP 2-cycle; which by the way rocks; bought on Amazon. After 3+ years of heavy use ( live on 2 acres) it starts on one pull.]. Earthworks doesn't blow 160 or 140 or 120....it is a breezy thing. But, it does blow debris off the pool deck and away from the doors. Major con....very short battery life...several minutes at most. I would not buy again and will likely return it. Seems like 18V battery is not enough in this series of blowers. Hard to believe you need to spend $100 for a battery powered blower - you can get a reliable gas blower for that.
Lightweight blower
April 2, 2015
This Earthwise model CB20018 is light weight and easy to carry and operate. It is not very powerful and is only useful to blow leaves from smooth surfaces (driveways, patios etc). My main complaint is the battery is very weak and does not hold it's charge - I would order another battery but the cost of a new battery is almost twice the price of a new cordless blower! I'm not sure how to contact the manufacturer or Amazon to see if they would send me a new battery under the 2 year warranty??
It is pretty feeble airflow/pressure and the battery does not last long
April 1, 2015
This machine blows - or doesn't. It is pretty feeble airflow/pressure and the battery does not last long. I bought this to blow dry my car after washing but it is bot up to the task. It has neither the strength nor stamina for the job. The battery performance is really disappointing. I would not recommend this to anyone as a leaf blower or a blow dryer. I have used it for both and it failed miserably in both tasks.
Battery life is a few months
December 2, 2012
I bought this blower earlier this year. It met my expectations initially. It last about 20 minutes and enabled me to clean up driveway and walkways after yard work. I would have liked the power to last longer but it served the purpose.Fast forward to 6 months later. The power level goes from it's highest level to medium power in less than a minute, and it can only handle a few minutes of very light duty work. I called Earthwise and asked if I could buy a lithium battery for this model. The answer was no.I plan on trying another brand with a stronger battery and definitely a LITHIUM one. If that doesn't work I may resort to a corded one. The nickel cadmiums are cheaper for a reason. And they have memory problems that can negatively impact their relatively short life even more.Hope it helps.

I have a garage full of Dewalt products - love 'em all
September 4, 2016
I have a garage full of Dewalt products - love 'em all! BUT I have used this blower 3 times within a 12-month period and now when I insert the battery into the charger the red light flashes fast - according the the sticker this indicates either a bad battery or a bad charger. Amazon directs me to Dewalt rather than handling the warranty replacement. Now, that's what I call "anti customer service"!
Im a big dewalt fan, but buyer beware.

Very weak blower. Only good for patios and such. Leaves in the grass stand up and laugh at this blower. And I don't know where they get their info on how fast it blows; definitely not 140 mph! Don't waste your money unless your just blowing off driveways or patios. Buy a gas blower.

This has been a huge disappointment. The battery life is sad--I have an 18' x 36' pool deck and can barely make it around before the power goes out. And the recharge time can be as much as 12 hours! Is this really a 'green' alternative to a plug-in or gas-powered blower? I doubt it.Buy a good broom instead.

I was so excited when this arrived. I charged the battery and went out to use it. To my surprise it is pretty gutless and does not do the job can't even move leaves in the back yard! I since have placed an order for a gas blower it had stellar reviews so I hope that it will be simple enough that I can use it without husband help and look forward to getting my yard into shape. Very disappointed with this cordless blower!!!!

Piece of garbage...losing faith in dewalt quality.
August 21, 2016
Like other reviews on here. This thing is a piece of junk. After about 15 min of use, it stopped blowing and just makes a grinding/whining noise even after a full recharge. Dewalt should recall this garbage. Definitely returning this.
I thought DeWalt was a better product than that
July 21, 2016
We have only had this product for four months. I do understand there is only a 30 day warranty, but for the price of this product, you would expect it to work longer than four months. Three nights ago, it just quit in the middle of blowing off the sidewalk. I will not start, it is totally dead. I'm very displeased. I thought DeWalt was a better product than that. Won't purchase DeWalt again.
Poor Quality at a high price
July 20, 2016
Bought it 1 year ago, and used it 2-3 times at the most. Stopped working, looks like the motor jammed. While using it today, it was making squeaky noises and smoke came out of the motor.
