Great little pitcher
November 28, 2016
We've been using this frothing pitcher daily for several months and we're really pleased with it! It's easy to use, easy to clean, and holds a large amount of milk. It, true to its nature, has not stained or tarnished. The pitcher is a great price for the quality and serves as a necessary tool to help make perfect lattes, cappuccinos, and more at home!
Great frothing cup...
January 5, 2016
This frothing cup works perfectly for us. We're not using it in the conventional manner for making Lattes. I often shoot a little Vanilla into the froth, and Hazelnut into the coffee (espresso). I've come to prefer to froth directly in our clear glasses then. I would *also* like to drop the espresso directly into the froth then... but our glasses won't fit under our espresso maker... and the hazelnut would combine with the rest in the process. So to get the separation of flavors, I drop the hazelnut into this frothing cup, and drop the espresso directly into the frothing cup as well. Then I slowly poor the hazelnut-espresso combination down the center or the glass full of froth... and we're ready to go.Anyway, this frothing cup is perfect for both purposes. Cleans very well/easily, due to its material and finish. Fine in the dishwasher as well.
It's a 12 Ounce Stainless Steel Pitcher.
April 17, 2014
As long as you understand what '12 ounces,' 'Stainless,' and 'Pitcher' mean, then you can't be anything but satisfied with this product. It's a rather small metal pitcher that is often used for frothing milk in an espresso - environment. This one is great for us, as we have a Gaggia Classic, and this pitcher fits under the frothing wand perfectly (yes, we use the black frothing attachment - don't go hatin'!). Before we invested in this pitcher, we were using a short coffee mug / soup bowl that made a mess every time we poured foamy froth. The spout functions as a spout should, so we're cleaning up less.If you have a larger machine, or need froth to balance out more than a double-shot, then you may want something bigger, but this little thing is perfect for our uses.
Just right
February 23, 2014
Prior to ordering these pitchers, I read the reviews thoroughly noting that many people gave varying testimonials in regards to the true size of the pitcher displayed, as well as the best sized pitcher to get a good foam. So keeping in mind I am new to the 'cafe-at-home' thing, here goes my opinion...After measuring out 12 ounces of water and pouring it into the pitcher, yes, the pitcher is a full 12 ounces... all the way to the brim, as other reviewers have mentioned. So if you are looking to foam a full 12 ounces of milk (for those who do not know, the milk will expand with foam as it is steamed, so do not fill all the way to the top prior to steaming - you will get a mess), get the larger size, but truthfully I don't think you'll need it. Most of the traditional sized at home coffee mugs are roughly 8-10 ounces, so unless you are trying to fill a 16 ounce travel mug with just steamed milk (no espresso), this 12 ounce pitcher will work just fine. While some people have mentioned that they use the larger pitcher for two people, I can only attest to using this pitcher for two people once, and I used small cappuccino style mugs (~3-4 oz mugs). With this method things came out just ok (perhaps I need more practice, or it is best to just steam each drink separately). If you are just looking to steam large quantities of milk, and not concerned too much with type/quality of foam, the larger one may be for you (such as if you are making hot cocoa for a large number of people, or the foam consistency is not important). However, for a single drink, be it mug or travel thermos, this 12 ounce pitcher works just great, and delivers the perfect quantity of steamed milk with the perfect consistency of foam. Not only that, but in our house, I use soy milk (lactose allergy) while my boyfriend prefers whole milk in his drinks, and the two pitchers work just perfect for both types of milk.As to the quality of the pitchers, I have not noticed any rust stains, defects, imperfections, or any thing else with these mugs since I have purchased them a month or so ago. I cannot remember where I read it, but somewhere I read to store them in the freezer. Since then I have been storing mine solely in the freezer after allowing them to air dry post washing, and they are still holding up fine. The only negative thing I have to say about these pitchers is that they are smaller in diameter at the top of the pitcher than they are at the bottom (similar to an erlenmeyer flask), so I have a difficult time wiping out the inside bottom of the pitcher with a dish cloth. This is easily fixed however using a bottle brush, but it would be nice to just wipe them with a cloth. All things considered, great pitchers, would purchase again, highly recommend.
perfect match with Delonghi Smaller Espresso Machines
February 3, 2014
I got this to pair with http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002A3S66/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_18 (De'Longhi BAR32 Retro 15 BAR Pump Espresso and Cappuccino Maker) and it's a solid match. It's small, but the espresso machine is small. Don't get either if you're trying to open a coffee shop or if you want a bucket of cappucino. Both are built for smaller coffee pours. Some tips:- Use 2% or Whole milk. Foam is better and richer- get milk out a while before you make coffee. you really have to steam the crap out of it to not end up with a lukewarm coffee- you can dump the milk out and use this to catch the steam when you're emptying out the machine. it's just high enough to catch between the wand and the base, and you can just turn the steam nozzle up and walk away
Good little frothing mug
March 15, 2013
It's what you'd expect. It's small but perfect for my needs. I've got the DeLonghi espresso machine, and this guy heats/froths about the perfect amount of milk with the shot the machine produces to make what I'd consider a medium (grande) size latte like you would get at a certain popular coffee house. With the delonghi, this pitcher fits perfectly on the platform to allow for hands free steaming. I fill it just over half way with milk, drop a thermometer in it, and when it hits about 130-140, grab the handle, pull it and the wand off to the side of the machine, and froth up the milk to about the top. You do have to lift the machine (or tilt the pitcher) to get it from under the wand. Not a big deal. Now the body gets hot (duh) but the handle stays cooler. I've never had any issues holding it with the hot milk. Cleans up easy too.

A nice small frothing pitcher - great value
May 18, 2016
This is a nice quality stainless steel frothing pitcher. IT IS SMALL - 12 oz - so keep this in mind when you purchase it. If you are making cappuccino type foam then you can expect your milk to about double in size (maybe more if you're not skilled at frothing yet it can bubble up) so expect to only be able to froth about 6 ounces of milk maybe less depending on your frothing skills. If you're trying to make a "grande" latte or cappuccino, you need a bigger pitcher. If the size is right for you, then this is a great value for the quality and the price of the item. I found it heats up steadily with the milk as it should - it gets hot as the milk gets hot - so it makes it easy to tell when the milk is at a good temperature and you can stop steaming it. The handle does stay cool.
Pretty good cheap frothing pitcher
January 12, 2016
Pretty good cheap frothing pitcher. I bought it for use alongside my Delonghi espresso machine as a way to train myself in how to use the frothing wand consistently and effectively. The pitcher is the perfect size for this function, and as far as I can tell, its shape is also serviceable. (Some people claim that the shape of the pitcher influences the quality of the foam. I personally can't tell a difference). Sometimes the handle grew uncomfortably hot, and was a little tricky to manipulate.I would say that if you're just starting out exploring the world of espresso-based coffee drinks, this is an excellent accessory at a great price. I suspect it might be outclasses by some fancier options that cost at least twice as much, but I'm not that much of a coffee fanatic to be able to honestly notice those distinctions.
Make sure this is the size you want!
January 29, 2015
Great frothing pitcher, does what it's supposed to do. One word of caution: be ABSOLUTELY SURE you want the smaller 12oz pitcher because when I saw it and used it the first few times it felt way too small. It will work great for frothing milk for one Starbucks size tall latte but nothing more, and even so you'll probably be frothing till the the foam is about to spill over. So if you want to make two drinks or to froth just slightly more milk you'd be better off with the larger pitcher. That being said, we only use it to make one latte... and since the Gaggia Classic machine we have seems to be on the smaller side and the wand only moves left right, this smaller pitcher fits nicely under the wand, the larger one would be more complicated to maneuver.
Keep it cold
April 24, 2014
My husband uses this with his espresso maker. He's become a coffee maker at home with his own little bistro and I can't work the machine at all but these little frothing pitcher's come in handy for the milk. To get a good froth, he puts them in the freezer and then uses them when he froths the milk for the lattes. It's a sturdy pitcher and retains a lot of cold in the freezer but from my understanding keeping it cold and then using it to froth the milk is suppose to really help with making that latte really sing with froth and richness. He's made me a few lattes but I'm not good at judging coffee. I have to admit though homemade coffee is not as bitter and if you're gonna make coffee you might as well get all the bells and whistles like this frothing cup.
Almost Perfect
January 19, 2013
My first thought when I saw the pitcher was, no way that holds 12 ounces. It seemed too small, 8 oz at most. Then I measured - it holds 12 oz when filled to the brim. I needed a small pitcher to fit under the frother of my De'Longhi EC155 15 BAR Pump Espresso and Cappuccino Maker which sits very low and too close to the counter for a larger pitcher. The EP-12 is 3 3/4 inches tall and fits the bill perfectly. It's stainless steel, has sturdy construction and looks like it will last. I fill the frothing pitcher about half way to make cappuccinos, and it provides just the right amount of milk for one drink.I wish the pitcher had some sort of markings on the inside so I would not have to guesstimate how much milk to pour. Milk does double or triple in volume when frothing so I have to be extra careful not to let it overflow.
Great Update frothing pitcher - but mirror polished surface tarnishes easily
April 10, 2012
This is product is described as a "Saeco" frothing pitcher but the one I received from "KJ Collections" was an "Update" frothing pitcher. Saeco is a brand name in espresso coffee circles, "Update" is an off-brand.The "Update" pitcher looks identical to the advertised "Saeco" pitcher when brand new and functions well.Cons:The "Update" mirror polished exterior surfaces tarnish very easily!! After 2 months of use it no longer shines like a mirror and is looking smoky and dappled with dots of tarnish. I will have to polish it with tarnish remover!! Luckily I don't care how it looks, only that it functions well. Conclusion:Don't order it from "KJ Collections", they are not shipping a Saeco pitcher. Maybe the real "Saeco FRO-TH12 12 oz. frothing pitcher" will maintain its mirror polished shine without tarnishing. Regardless of how it looks, the "Update" pitcher functions perfectly.

Product is not 12 ounces

I received a smaller version of the one depicted. I thought I was ordering a 12 ounce and I received a version that only holds a few ounces. I would not purchase if you are trying to buy a 12 ounce.

Is an ok cup, i should have gotten something a bit larger, but that was my bad.steaming with a really small cup is never a good idea. Too easy to over flow as you stretch, handle is a bit small.
Be prepared to wait weeks for delivery
January 11, 2016
I ordered this for Christmas but it took weeks to come (from China) and when it came it was smaller than expected. I had to give my daughter my own frothing pitcher so she had one for her espresso make she got for Christmas, so now I have this small one which I do not like. I will probably buy another one. I marked it as 3 start because it took longer to come than anything I have ever purchased from Amazon.
It got here.... finally.
December 4, 2015
It got here.... finally. It shipped from overseas, and the quality just isn't what I expected. It is smaller than I was expecting and the metal a lot thinner. It does the job, but I wouldn't buy this one again.
Perfect size for a Doll House
October 30, 2014
Chock it up to user error but this is so tiny it really has no purpose other than to be pencil pot. I guess I really don't envision measurements in my head very well because it clearly does say 12 ounces but again I'm sort of lulled into thinking it is something larger by the picture. Not the product's fault, it's mine but I'm not giving it 5 stars only because something this small should only be sold in the toy department as something to be used in a doll house.
It's a steel pitcher... nothing fancy.
August 12, 2013
The price was right, I needed something to froth my milk in for my latte... this is steel, it fits on my espresso machine - life is good.If you're picky about the craftsmanship... move on, you can see where the handles are soldered on to the pitcher... it's not crazy sloppy, but it's not perfectly neat and hidden either.I'm usually in my housecoat when I make my morning coffee, no contacts in either... so does detail really matter? it works, it's clean and it's the perfect size for me. Thanks a latte! haha

Not so good.
October 21, 2016
Handle is badly soldered on, rust will appear very quickly, and this thing is not large at all. Don't trust high ratings or best seller status. This thing is not good. I wish Amazon did a better job of dealing with this type of item and its perceived greatness.
Smaller than I Expected
June 10, 2016
This cup was quite a bit smaller than the size that was in the product description. I had purchased it to make lattes with my espresso machine, but because it is so small, it won't work for my intended purpose. I saw no sharp edges, as others have reported, and it seemed very nicely made, but I was very disappointed that the size was not 12 oz.I received this item at a discounted price in exchange for an honest review.
be careful that you don't drink the black polish.
February 21, 2016
polish was still present. at first, I was wondering what the black residue was on my hand but quickly found that it was all over the outside of the pitcher when I wiped with a clean cloth. then I found it on the inside!!! also, there were nicks and unpolished specks on the outside of this item. this is definitely not quality work at hand.
The handle feels like it could easily be broken off
February 14, 2016
This is a cute little baby pitcher. It is tiny though we have only used it once or twice. The handle feels like it could easily be broken off... which would be awful if it was full of hot liquid when it does happen. This item also took weeks to finally show up.
Poor quality, and really too small for proper frothing
November 13, 2015
Poor build quality on this. The stainless has several blemishes in this. I intended this as a gift, but it's not up to standard for that, as it almost looks used. Plus, 12 oz is really too small for proper frothing. Get an 18 oz or larger size. The low price bumps this up from 1 start to 2.
Get a larger size.
December 27, 2014
Got this for my new espresso machine. I should have measured how much 12 ounces is; this is way way too small. When you steam milk, the volume doubles to triples, meaning that you would have to start with at most 4 ounces of milk. Since this pitcher is tall and narrow, the steamer wand was too short to reach into the bottom of this, which meant that I either ended up with too much froth (I prefer lattes rather than cappucinos, so want more milk than froth), or ended up overflowing the pitcher and didn't have enough milk at that, to make the lattes I wanted.I ended up buying a larger (24 0z), wider milk pitcher which works better, as there's enough room for enough milk to actually fill my mug after steaming it.

Flimsy, pitted, very poor quality
July 10, 2017
This was a reorder. First batch was good enough for what they cost and appeared to be machine made and were of sufficient quality stainless to do the job. However, the second set ordered was a different product (shape, appearance, metal thickness). These pitchers were hand hammered, full of small pits on the inside and very flimsy. The pits appeared to have oxidation in them. Not safe for use. Very poor quality pitchers. First batch appeared to be made in China. This second batch said Made in India. Returning them for refund.
Big disappointment
June 12, 2017
I can't tell you how disappointed I am in this product it advertised a 12oz it clearly can't be bigger than 10 oz. I've emailed the seller and have not gotten a response yet. Gets one star simply for being stainless.
Warning!!! Scam!!! Do not waste your money!!

The title on this says 12oz....this container was no bigger than my thumb. I have shot glasses bigger than this. Do not buy this product. That is a sugar packet in the photo next to it.
Great for your child plastic kitchen but not for your REAL kitchen
May 15, 2016
Really bad product, not worth it since this pitcher is tiny and takes long time to deliver to deliver from China (took over 4 weeks to deliver). I bought another one because this one was so small and defiantly not 12oz. I messaged the seller and his answer was that nothing to do about it.Summary: avoid it and buy one with primeIn the picture you can see this product on the right vs a real 12oz one on the left that was only $1 more
Do not buy!
February 18, 2016
The stainless finish on this jug is poor, in fact it looks unfinished. The handle looks like it is ready to rust. I get the impression this jug has been used for years.
