The camera is like brand new. The only issue is that it didn't come with the owners manual. Not sure of all the different things the camera will do. Other then that it was a good deal.

This was bought as a gift for my son's 15th birthday. He requested a "real" camera as opposed to a pocket sizes point and click. I took it on a test drive yesterday before sending it to him. Drawbacks: no viewfinder, which I prefer to have, view screen no adjustable. Pro: great shots, easy to use, good selection for a novice getting used to choosing settings and scenes. Pictures mostly came out very well and I'm more than willing to take the hit on the few that didn't. I suspect he will be quite pleased.

I really like this camera but it does have a few drawbacks that keep it from being a 5.Plus - if you're familiar with cameras, then this is one you can take out of the box and start using. There are more things it can do than you will initially intuit, but it's usable without knowing all the features. It isn't too heavy or awkward; as someone with arthritis in all my joints, that makes a difference on my hands, elbows, and shoulders. It zooms and pulls back fairly well/quickly and I don't find it loud or too slow, albeit I'm not trying to take action or sporting shots. The quality of picture is excellent. I make my own prints and greeting cards and have received many compliments on the photos I'm able to get with this camera (keep in mind, these are hobbies, not a livelihood - this isn't professional quality).Minus - as others have mentioned, this camera struggles to focus 'in the middle' of it's zoom capacity. I also find it doesn't always do well at it's full zoom and will readjust itself before getting the shot, which can be frustrating and time consuming. My biggest complaint though would have to be it's poor performance with night/low light photography. In fact, it is for this final reason that I am now looking for a low end SLR that will allow me to take night and macro shots.For ordinary use, particularly for family and home pictures, I am very happy with this camera. It does well with landscape and portrait shots in normal lighting conditions and I've taken some really lovely photos with this camera; the biggest drawback for me is not being able to take pictures of a night sky or in low light conditions (minus flash).

Other than not being terribly happy about being asked to take pictures in low light conditions with no flash, this camera has performed admirably. it appears to be very easy on batteries, which is a major benefit when using disposables.

The camera is as advertised. Arrived in 2days ON SUNDAY via Amazon Prime.We love Prime!!Our 9 yr old loves the camera. She bought it with birthday money. Its very easy to operate. She LOVES the flip screen, for selfies. Only drawback is battery usage.She's used it off and on for 4 days now and the 3 AAA batteries are already low.Otherwise, great camera for the price.

not the most expensive looking camera. Its all plastic but, it was great for my 10 year old. We can't wait to print out the pictures and see what they look like.

Seems okay for the price. My daughter's first camera and she seems to be happy with it.

Good size view of picture but difficult to find all the menu systems and get the camera set as you want to use it. Remember to get a SD memory card and four AA batteries as the camera comes without these items. Small cost when you consider the camera cost and comparison shop with some others

It came in an okay period of time /I did pay 2 day shipping/ and it came in its original packaging. The only draw back is that it doesn't include all original components like it claims to do. My was missing the strap, usb cable and the battery packs which the box had crossed off with sharpie. I would suggest just buying it off Wal-Mart using this add to price match because at least you do get all original things included and dont have to worry if it'll work or not.

Good image quality, but with poor ajustements

Great camera for starters. Take low quality/ mid quility pictures. Battery life is good, size of the camera is good and has a variety of settings. Not for someone who is looking for action shots

This camera is priced accordingly.Its a cheap lightweight basic digital camera. The picture quality is not bad with some adjusting of the settings. This is a great option tho for a beginner or young child. It's one of those that wouldnt break your heart if it was lost or broken.Has easy to use features making it worth the money.

Per other reviews we purchased this for my 9 year old and it works great for her needs. I do not recommend it for adult use, however.

I bought this on a lightning deal to have a back up camera. It's an ok camera. It does not come with the cord to connect to the computer. Since I got it very discounted, I do feel like I got my money's worth. I am thinking it will make a good camera for my kids to take on field trips.

Honestly, it's kind cheap looking and feeling. It takes OK photos, but if you're buying this camera to save money you better be prepared to sacrifice some quality.

Flash did not work. Had to return it

Incredibly disappointed in this camera. I bought this one to replace my Sony CyberShot G (that I've had for many years) because it is getting worn and the mechanics are starting to fail. This camera is the newer model of it so I was hoping for similar, if not hopefully better, quality. This is not the case. The resolution for my pictures are average, and I feel like my iPhone 6 can take better quality photos. I am familiar with the settings on these cameras so I did tinker with the different modes, but none of them lived up to my expectations.If this is your first camera and you have nothing to compare it to, I think that you will find it very nice, but If you are looking to upgrade, do not buy this camera. I returned it very soon after it arrived and I am looking into a new camera now. Two stars because it is still a decent camera for those that aren't looking for anything too extravagant.

Took good pictures and videos for 2 weeks then would not work. Gave error message over and over again "turn camera off and on again" never would take another picture. Returned for refund.

Bulky, heavy, picture quality not impressive.

This was a gift for someone not technologically inclined, but with reasonable troubleshooting and problem solving skills. It's reportedly a bit buggy and the screen sometimes gets flaky. This was intended to be used for putting pictures up on the web but apparent this one now sits in a drawer and a different camera is more preferable. While the camera does apparently work, its buggy and not real easy to use.

So, this is a camera for selfies on the Web. Definitely NOT for print. Don't anticipate that those 16MP is going to get you billboard quality shots. In fact, while the images come at 4000x (as advertised), most of the time I have to dump them down to 720x and photoshop them to get a look on par with my other professional camera. It also forgets to save certain settings, so you may have to reset some things when you first turn the camera on (like the 2-second photo delay setting). It only has one hole on the bottom for a tripod mount, so it slides around on the tripod head -- which can be annoying. Bottom line, it's a cute camera for having fun with friends but has no business application.

I ordered a 14mp camera and received a 12 mp camera. :/

I got this camera for my grandson's 8th birthday. It is not his first camera so I thought this would be a good one so he could take selfies. That is the only feature that seems to work as expected. It is not a push one button to find things. I am very camera savvy so I can figure out how to use this camera. He has only gotten a few pictures that come out clear. Most pictures are grainy or blurred. I know it is not all his picture taking. There is no lens cover so I keep checking to see if the lens is clean. The camera uses 3 AAA batteries and they run down fast.Overall I can not recommend this camera for anyone.I did not get a discount on this item. I paid the Amazon price with free shipping.

The camera is does not take bright indoors and I have not figured out how the flash works. Must change batteries often.

Yeah it's cheap but it really is a poor camera - I should have spent an extra $20 and gotten a better camera

This product didn't work at all. After I switch on, it prompts to few settings and when I finish the settings, it switches off the camera. I could not use it at all. Its wastage of money.

This camera just won't turn on.

I purchased this for my daughter for Christmas and wasn't able to open it until recently. It was refurbished and wouldn't accept a memory card. Then kept asking to restart the camera. And since they have a limited window for returns it is a total loss A total waste of time and money.

The camera stopped working after about a month. Doesn't turn on or off, not responsive at all, and it wasn't damaged or anything. I bought it refurbished. Waste of money!

I am so disappointed! This worked for about 20 minutes. Then the screen froze and the lens would not go back in. It was a huge let down! I am not happy about this experience.

Waste of money , please do something else with your money . Don't throw it away. If only I can rate it below one star I would have .

I barely started using this product, and it is already malfunctioning. Instead of starting up properly, it goes into some sort of looping action where the initial screen appears and a certain sound occurs, but then it goes off and repeats that same action over and over. The power button won't even kill the looping action. I have to take out the battery.

After buying this camera, I looked it over and didn't try to use it for several weeks as I was still trying to to figure out how to use it.I am not a camera buff and have always just taken snap shots with out using complicated equipment. I went online and found instructions. I put it away and left it for several more days. I decided to take some pictures but was puzzled as to why the screen was black and white. . I did not think a lot about it so just put it away again. I finally tried to download the pictures but had no success. I bought a new SDHC Card and tried again thinking that might be why the screen is not in color. I had no idea it only took black and white. I actually just discovered this about a month ago after going online and reviewing it. I cannot believe someone would sell a camera that only takes black and white pictures. Who would ever want a camera that does that. I have not reported this because I know I can't return it. But I am so unhappy with Amazon or the company that had the responsibility to say this in the description of the camera that I think it should be corrected so no one else will make the same mistake. I will just give the camera away if there is anyone that will want it. Cheap and bad advertising on this product. Bea

very basic pictures...good for a child, not any serious pictures

Bought this as a Christmas present for my 7 year old. Seemed like a good starter camera until I couldn't get it to take pictures. Since I ordered it early as a present I am past the 30 day return window. Glad I got it on sale and am not out the full price!!!! Not worth buying if you can't return it when it doesn't work right out of the box!

You get what you pay for. The lens is exposed to dust even when not taking pictures. You have to hold this camera very steady or the pictures will be blurred. If this is a 10.1 MP camera, I am disappointed. Bottom line, it is a cheap camera.
