Very nice and substantial set of cookware.
May 19, 2017
I have used these pots/pans for about 2 weeks now. They are very nice. They feel good in my hands and have a nice weight to them. They are shiny and very pretty too. The sizes are wonderful. There are a lot of options, which is one of the reasons why I chose this set. They come with a set of lids, that are glass. That is another reason why I purchased this set. I want to be able to see what I am cooking without removing the lid. I like the large pot with the strainer because it makes it super easy to boil large pots of shrimp or crab. I bought these to use on my new induction cook top. I am not sure if it is the cooktop or the pots/pans that make a slight humming noise when it is first turned on, but I had done my research and knew to expect this. It is not loud, nor is it annoying. It even stops after a little while. The pots do have spots on them, on the inside, after using them. We wash them by hand, although you can put them in the dishwasher. I have purchased the bar keepers friend cleaner, but haven't used it just yet. I am sure that will remove the spots. But, they don't really bother me, so I am not worried either. This is a really nice set of cookware especially for the value. I am very happy with them.
Duxtop by Secura: My Excellent Purchase Choice
May 11, 2015
Decided to use this product a few months before making any comments. I'm very satisfied with this cookware. Handles get warm at most. Handles are sturdy and easy to grip even without hot pads. Clear lids don't feel as fragile as glass. Even heat on bottom and sides is fast with not hot spots. My product does not crackle and pop when heating as some cookware. We hand-wash even though the product says it's dishwasher safe. Cleans easily for the most part with tough sticky food clean-up only a few times. The weight feels less than my cast iron cookware and is as easy to lift as my old stainless, non-induction cookware. Glad I purchased all stainless instead of getting a non-stick interior so these pans will last much longer. The large steamer basket easily steams veggies with a couple of inches of water or use it to cook pasta. The two smaller sauce pans sizes are handy for most side dishes. I'm using a brand-new induction 5-burner cook top. Used this cookware on all burner sizes with same even heating. I have not used the cookware in the oven yet.The company making this Duxtop product is American based making this quality purchase an even better choice. The company doesn't put as much money into its marketing budget. Instead, they put money and energy into making high-quality cookware. I will not hesitate to purchase other products from Secura and sold by Lafraise.
but I was happy with the results
January 10, 2015
I ordered my cookware in anticipation of my new GE induction range, but decided to start using it now. I used the saute pan first--which is massive, by the way, as well as heavy--to cook some bok choy in a small amount of oil. I made sure to set my temp to medium. It took a little longer to cook than it would have normally, but I was happy with the results. And it was a breeze to clean. I also sauteed some veggies in the small skillet. Again no sticking. I do wish there had been lids for the frypans as I like to add water and steam for a few minutes after sauteeing. Today I was a little more adventurous and used the saute pan for stir-frying chicken in chili oil and adding sesame oil for sauteing the veggies. I made rice--which I cooked a little too fast-- in the small saucepan. I keep being pleasantly surprised. My overcooked rice pan cleaned right up and so did my saute pan. I am more than pleased. The last (and only) piece of stainless I had used until this point was a Calphalon frypan and I used it twice and gave it away because it was so hard to clean.
Completely Satisfied.

We have been trying out our new kitchen set for about a week now. We first tried it out on a gas stove top because we wanted to see the difference in how they perform on gas and on the Precision NuWave Induction Portable unit that we have. Our gas stove leaks which is why we are switching over. Who wants to breath in gas leak fumes. Besides, the guy who came to fix it, couldn't so... anyway. The set does work great on gas tops as long as you follow the pamphlet that comes with it which clearly says not to use it on high. You don't need to. Everything heats up so well on medium. We read a lot of reviews about the bottom of these discoloring, and ours haven't. We also read that some people were hearing a loud buz coming from the pots and pans when used on their induction surface. All we heard was the fan blowing on the bottom our NuWave unit. There was no buzzing or any other noise other than the water boiling in the pan after 30 seconds. We stood there with our jaws to the ground watching how fast it heated up to boiling on MEDIUM which our induction unit says is 375 degrees. This set is beautiful and heavy compared to the crappy cheap pots and pans we were using. I'm not sure what induction units that other people are using but if you have a NuWave, then these are the set for you.
High Quality Product; Perfect for Induction
June 5, 2014
Wow, picking cookware for induction is a challenge. It seems a majority of the reviews are a bit vague and so few specifically say a product works well. Guess that's the challenge of moving to a newer technology.....for the US. Have to say I was a bit hestitant when I received the product and prepared to return them if need be. This cookware comes very well packed, is high quality, good weight and the dripless lip is really nice. The glass tops are good quality and well made. Some reviews mention a sound the pans make on induction. I have not experienced any sound; I'm using the new model Samsung Induction. Overall, this cookware set is a really high value for the price. There is nothing flimsy or cheap about this cookware. The heat distribution is excellent and the weight is perfect for induction. The heavier base assures that the metal has even contact with the cook top surface. It is fun to fill the small pot with cold water and watch it boil in less than a minute!! Very pleased with purchase
LOVE THIS SET!!
May 14, 2014
I am SOOOOOOO glad I took a leap of faith and ordered this cookware set. I love the fact that the lids are glass. I especially appreciate the small opening on the lids so that liquid doesn't immediately boil over and get all over the stovetop. These items clean up nicely... I use copper scrubbies, a little Dawn, and occasionally some Arm & Hammer Washing soda (which has a higher pH than regular baking soda - and I believe that pH difference is what helps with the improved cleaning).I ended up giving the utensils to Goodwill - just because I prefer to use silicone cooking utensils. However, the three utensils appeared to be of high quality. You will not be sorry if you decide to make this purchase as well!!

Best pans I've ever used!
January 17, 2017
This cookware is fabulous! My husband purchased me a set of cookware for over $400 for my birthday in August. I looked at it and thought, "Um...I don't think so." So, over the next week or so I researched all the hard anodized cookware I could find. I discovered that this cookware meets or exceeds other manufacturer's who are charging over $400 for their set. Plus, the set that I had received for my birthday had pieces I would never use. This is the perfect size set. I have used every piece of it in the past 5 months and never once thought, "Gee, I wish I had a pan this size." I did additional purchase the 12" everyday pan that has a handle on each side--not that I really needed it but sometimes having a pan that has short handles on each side are just easier to use, depending upon what you're cooking. Since then, both of our children have fallen in love with this cookware, so we purchased them each a set for Christmas (along with the everyday pan). If you followed some simple guidelines, you will have this cookware for many, many years. 1. Don't EVER use high heat on any of this type of cookware, not just this brand. The dark finish collects heat quickly and holds heat, so you'll use less energy cooking. 2. Don't put the pan it the sink and run water in it when it's hot. Move it to another burner when empty and let it cook. It will clean up like magic, even after setting for quite some time. 3. Though it says it's dishwashers safe, don't do it. There is not need to because these almost wash themselves, so why subject them to the chemicals in dishwashing powder. These pans fall into the same category of another lesson my father taught me when I was quite young--if you take care of your tools, they will take care of you.
The only cookware set you need for your kitchen
August 13, 2016
I bought this set almost 6 years ago for use in my vacation/rental home. They've gotten heavy use by people who don't care enough to take good care of them, and they're still going strong. The coating is pretty scratched off my 10" pan, and I came back to Amazon to buy a replacement. The other pans are lightly scratched, but not nearly as badly. All things considered, I'm very happy with how well these pans have held up over the years. If you take good care of your pans, they'll probably never look like this one. This set is really well priced for the quality and number of items. The sauce pan and stock pot have generous volume, and the pasta steamer insert comes in handy all the time. This is really the only set you need for your kitchen, I'd buy it again if I'm ever in need of another!
Well-made pots
August 10, 2016
I really love this says it has a little bit of everything that I need to quote. The quality of the pots are very well made and the nonstick surface is great. This is also a great Starter Set if you have nothing. Don't put them in the dishwasher because it ruins the outside finish.
Great set. Easy to clean and use
May 5, 2016
This set is great. Easy to clean. The only thing we would love is a pot sized between the big one and the next. I was surprised by the fact that they come with a small steamer that I thought was a pot and wasn't too excited about it but know we love it....we can make steam veggies really fast. They look great, good quality and finishind. You won't need to use oil to cook. That's a big plus for us.Very easy to clean. Another big plus. NOT dishwashing safe and it is aware everywhere in the box and brochure.Be careful on using plastic or wooden kitchen tools with them. It is also aware in the box and brochure. And do not stack them or they can be scratched. So if you don't have a lot of space for them maybe you should go for another set that fits you. If its helpful for you we have friends that stack them and they look in good condition. We are very happy with them so far :-)
Arrived Beautifully!
August 13, 2013
I'm writing this although haven't actually cooked with it yet. Some reviews indicate dings, etc. My set arrived very well packed and in excellent condition..no mars of any kind. All lids fit the pans perfectly. There were some who mentioned trouble removing labels. Mine lifted off easily prior to washing. Also some mention of lids being hard to dry, I simply bunched my towel a little and went around edges and had no problem drying. I did keep some of the packing inserts since I do need to stack so as not to scratch from stacking. The stainless steel everyday pan that was a bonus is beautiful and I know will use same quite often. Can't wait to cook dinner tonight!!! Will update after using a while. Feel like I made an excellent choice at this point.UPDATE: Have had these for a few months now and wanted to give my experience with this set. Interior finish is holding up well although I do recommend purchasing the Cuisinart tools as my older tools did leave marks though not scratched through. The biggest thing is to NEVER PUT IN DISHWASHER...wasn't feeling well one evening and just put my small saucepan on the top rack of my Bosch dishwasher thinking it would be fine. WRONG!!!! The exterior finish is completely ruined and looks absolutely horrible. Never had a problem putting my old Wearever set in the dishwasher. Very upsetting!
Makes Cooking a Pleasure, Clean-Up a Breeze
January 17, 2013
I bought this Cuisinart 66-14 Chef's Classic Nonstick Hard-Anodized 14-Piece Cookware Set over two months ago, and I have been thoroughly enjoying cooking with this set on my gas stove as much as I had hoped I would.~~APPEARANCE: This set's exterior is a (slightly matte-ish) dark gray color, somewhat tapered edges with shiny stainless steel handles.~~~~WEIGHT: These pots and pans have some heft to them, they are not lightweight, which I like, and I expect these to last a very long time.~~~~NON-STICK FINISH: The non-stick hard anodized finish truly is non-stick and I have had absolutely no problems with anything sticking in any of the pots or pans.~~~~COOKING: Everything cooks evenly in these pans and has made cooking more pleasurable, and I never use anything higher than the medium temperature when using these.~~ *see note below.*~~HANDLES: The handles don't really stay cool on my stove top, but because I use gas flames for cooking, this may be the reason why they get quite warm, even hot at times.~~~~LIDS: I wasn't sure if I would like the lids not having a vent hole in them, but I think I actually prefer these solid lids now. If I need to vent/have steam release, I just slightly tilt the lid. When placed on top of the pots and pans, the lids fit snugly and work the way lids should.~~~~CLEAN-UP: Clean-up is crazy-easy and everything washes off as simply and easily as the day I bought them, it could not be easier. I don't put these in my dishwasher, I wash them by hand (with mild, non-citric dishwashing liquid) to keep them in great condition.~~*OF NOTE: The paperwork that came with this set suggested to never use temperatures higher than the "medium" setting. I was concerned at first, as I thought this might take everything much longer to cook. But, due to the special way the bases are made, they require less heat due to special heat distribution properties. I can bring water to a boil easily on the medium setting in as short a time with these as I could with my old, thinner pots on high.*I was worried that this set's exterior finish would get scorched and ruined by my stove's gas flames, so shortly after getting this set I also purchased this: Nordic Ware 8 Inch Heat Tamer and Burner Plate which does a wonderful job of preserving the exterior's finish.(I thought I'd add this in case this ever happens to you): About the 3rd time I used the steamer insert/pot for steaming some broccoli and cauliflower, I became distracted and the water ended up boiling completely away and I was left with a burnt mess inside the water pot. I was so upset, as I didn't think I'd be able to save it. However, after letting it cool, washing off what I could, I added a couple of drops of dishwashing liquid and some water to the pot, and simmered it for about 20 minutes. After it had cooled enough for me to work with, was able get every bit of the burned mess (residue from bits of broccoli and cauliflower that had dropped through the steamer insert) off to get it back to brand-new looking and performing condition. I was amazed and very pleased, and I think this speaks highly of the quality of this cookware, not so much for my attention span ;-pOverall, I love this set, and recommend it all day long.

At the end of the day, I really like them
September 16, 2017
I really like these pans, let's start there because otherwise this could come off pretty critical. I want to hit the biggest complaint points I read about before buying:Noisy pans: The pans do sing *a little,* but this does not bother me because it is already so loud where I am that I didn't notice it until one day I cooked when no one was around. It is a little high pitched buzz and I can see how it would be irksome to some people but honestly, it is *very* minimal even when it is really quiet. I think my dog can hear it but I see this as a bonus perk because now she is not underfoot while I am cooking which is MUCH safer for her, and me.The second point I want to bring up is a love/hate thing. The pans do not really get hot up the side walls on induction. I have not tried on a gas stove yet. Which means cool handles always-a bonus! It also means that while I am teaching the little ones I work with to cook, their safety is slightly more guaranteed because the pan itself is not as hot. The bad: meats are not cooking as evenly as I am used to from getting the side heat. Had I bought the fullclad, this would be avoided but the glass lids were much more important to me. I will get used to it and adjust my cooking style and it will be ok. I am not getting burning or raw spots, it's more of a learning thing than a problem. The glass lids: I *love* them, but...I really wish there was a lid that fit the fry pans-at least the larger one. I am using one of the bigger lids and it makes a mess from the condensation. In most other sets I've used, the stock pot lid also fit the fry pan so I was a little disappointed. These lids were what drove me to this set over the fullclad so I am a little disappointed that I'm not totally satisfied with it and this is why it is a 4, not 5, star review.Nonstick: So far, I am cooking with less oil and have not had anything stick. I haven't made eggs yet-the true test of pans but I suspect that they will work out well. Learn how to cook in stainless steel-it is very different than cooking in non-stick. Follow the directions for seasoning the pans, let you pans fully cool before cleaning them so that the cold water does not warp the metal, and don't expect the same exact results as nonstick and you will be fine. Again, season the pan well, you can get directions from Google, and you won't have a problem. Learning to just wipe out the pan and not use soap or very very light soap was so strange!Bottom/discoloration: Yes, I did get a little bit of rainbowing on one pan (the casserole) but I know it will clean off. I do not use metal utensils in my pans and don't use a scrubber at all so I don't have any scratches and the pans sill have a mirror finish after cooking twice daily for over a month now. I got inexpensive silicone and high temp plastic utensils and they are working great.Even heating: to go along with the sides not getting super hot I have to say that the bottom is completely evenly heated when on induction. The thick heavy bottoms on the pans are heating far more evenly than the cast iron I also use. This is a huge bonus!Space: The pans don't stack super well so they take up quite a bit of space in my storage cabinet. The lids don't stack at all. Again, something I will get used to but if space is an issue for you, keep your box and keep less often used pans in a closet somewhere to maximize your kitchen space.Overall, these are very good pots and pans for the price point. I am happy with them and only could be happier if I had gone fullclad and had a lid perfectly fit for my large frypan.
Good product for the money
March 21, 2017
arrived as promised, nice and heavy items, good quality, some small lids don't stay on well when moving pot around, they do make some nice on high settings but we normally used mid cooking settings do it's not a problem, all units make noise with induction style cooking. Frying pan is mid size the other is a saute pan not frying pan. used it for 2 weeks and washed by hand and dishwasher, no problem.
works perfectly with my new frigidaire induction cooktop
March 7, 2016
I've had this set for about a month and am very happy with the way it interacts with the induction stovetop. I have washed them in the dishwasher and also by hand, and have had no problem with sticking food or loss of the beautiful shine. One time the fry pan had a bluish sheen, but the next time I cooked something acid based (tomatoes) it disappeared and shined up like new. My only two complaints: the flat shape of the handle makes it difficult for my weak wrist to turn and drain the liquid with the lid holding back the food. Second complaint is also about the lids, it would have been nice if they were standardized in size to also fit the fry/saute pans. The steaming basket and boiling basket are large and only fit the spaghetti pot. We are a household of 2 so I probably will only use them when cooking for a crowd.
Beautiful and Works with Electrolux
November 24, 2015
I moved into my new house with my new Electrolux Induction cook-top and was super excited when I ordered the Duxtop pans, after reading great reviews, I was super excited when they arrived. The pans are BEAUTIFUL!!!!! Exactly as described and more impressive in person than online pictures. I love everything about them in appearance and weight. The handles fit perfectly in my hands.I had read in other online reviews that a HORRIBLE buzzing/vibrating sound fills the kitchen when using these pans with Electrolux induction cook-top. I was very worried because I did not read that until after I had purchased the pans and was waiting on their arrival. The very first time I used the pans a Horrible buzzing/ vibrating sound filled my kitchen, I was immediately disappointed. I then lifted the pan off the cook-top and the noise stopped, I put the pot back on the cook-top and the buzzing started again. Then a thought crossed my mind to wipe the bottom of the pan with a microfiber cloth and the cook-top itself. I did this and there was no buzzing. The cook-top and the pans need to be clean and free of debris before use in order to prevent buzzing sound. The pans can be a little difficult to clean, but as someone who went to culinary school these are a top quality pan. This is a beautiful set and perfect for someone who is looking for a Stainless-Steel set.
Good set, but not the best choice of pieces
June 7, 2015
It's a little early for me to review these, since I've only used some of the pieces. I bought these to use on an induction hob, and also because I plan to replace my electric range in the longer term with an induction range. These work well with induction, but I find the frying pans to be smallish, and do not think they add much to the set (especially since they lack lids). I like the glass lids, but the metal edge of the lid on one saucepan discolored when something briefly boiled over. I tried to remove the discoloration with Barkeeper's friend and lemon juice, but with no success. The utensils (spoon, spatula, fork) that come with the set are not of value to me and I would have preferred an option to omit them, even for modest savings. I chose this set over a similar but smaller set because I wanted a large pan, and the saute pan included here fit the bill. I am using this piece the most, but expect over time I will use everything except perhaps the utensils.
A lot better than I expected
December 11, 2014
I have this set, bought from Amazon. I consider it good value for the money. I will answer some concerns others have had with theirsets. My set was shipped to me in the original manufacturers box that was probably in a container with a zillion others. Amazonshipped it in another box with space and packing around the shipper box which took any abuse UPS could throw (literally) at it.Lets talk about that shipper box which again was a box within a box. Everything was held by designed cardboard packing material thatfit the pieces and held them away from the sides. It was packed like it was headed for a mess kitchen at the front (or they were awareof the gorillas that ups uses). If the UPS truck had run over it, it still might have held up, maybe. Amazon is starting to realize, and pack for the kind of handling that mass delivery systems can dish out. This is well made stainless steel cookware; it has an aluminium sandwich on the bottom so the heat distribution is more even and itworks on induction cooktops (I have a couple of NuWaves and a 30 inch GE all induction cooktop). This is not commercial cookware. Iworked in college as a cook, and we never had anything anywhere near this good. Commercial pans get rough treatment from the cooks, and a lot of steel wool and hard grease cutters from the dishwasher, and everything goes through the dishwasher, the guy and themachine. Commercial pots usually have flat stainless steel lids also. This set is really nice home cookware, much better thancommercial quality. These pots are not eye candy. They are brushed stainless which you can't see your face in. The brushed finishholds oil better. The pot handles are large and stay cool, the lid handles can get hot.Tip: Get Barkeepers Friend Cookware cleaner for when you screw-up, we all do. Buy in multiples, it is cheaper that way. It's onAmazon. I think all the Barkeepers is the same stuff in different packaging, but I might be wrong.Tip: Also get the Magic Jetz scrubbers on Amazon, they are easier on the pans than steel wool or ghod forbid those squiggly stainlesssteel scrubbers or chainmail (use that on your cast iron stuff).A little advice to those new to stainless cookware. Use the PAM on your Teflon pans, not these. I use duck fat or pretty much anyoil. Start out on medium heat (5 out of 10) with something in the pan. Then when you have food in the pan, you can ramp up theheat a little, or even a lot. You will learn your own style as far as heat control goes. You can maintain your desired level at alower heat once you get there. Gas, Induction, Ceramic, and Halogen will give you faster response to control numbers than electricburners. If you cookware changes color (straw to brown to purple to blue) you are way too high in the heat and you can damage thepan. If you just have to see what it will do, put 2 liters of cold tap water in the 4.2 qt casserole and let her rip. My GEinduction cooktop will boil it in 4.5 min from 50 degrees on level 10, and maintain it on level 3. Remember, when it is hot enough, back it down.Last tip: get a ThermoWorks Thermapen here on Amazon, the price is right and they are really useful. Get a bright color so youcan find it quick. You will be surprised how often you overcook food.

Nothing sticks in these pans!
September 27, 2016
I purchased these pans to replace a set of Calphalon pans we received as a wedding gift 7 years ago that were starting to scratch. I wasn't really sure what to expect because these were much less expensive than the old set we had. However, I have been very impressed with these pans! The non-stick finish on these is even better than my old Calphalon pans, even when my old pans were new. Food just slides off these pans, even if it was burned or left to sit for a couple days. The handles really do stay cool to the touch, which I was concerned about. The one thing I don't love is that the handles of the lids do get very hot. I'm not sure why they get so much hotter than the pan handles, but there have been times when I've had to use a pot holder just to take the lid off. Also, I wish the sizing of the pots was a little different. The medium size pot/saucepan seems too small for some things, but the stock pot (which is the next size pan) is way too big. But I might just be used to the sizing of my old set, and other people may not have an issue with this. Other than these two small issues, I have no complaints about these pans and have been very happy with them! I have yet to try them in the oven.
Good pans, nice sizes
March 22, 2016
Great set of pots and pans. I wanted the bigger stockpot because we have a large family-there are 8 of us plus whatever stragglers my kids pick up. I really liked the idea of the pasta insert, but I never use it after a couple tries. It just wastes too much valuable space in the bottom of the pan. When I make pasta I have to use at least 2 packages...I think it would be great for just one though. The non-stick is great, they clean super easily. I always let them cool completely before washing them and have never had a problem with stuck on food. I hand wash so cannot vouch for the dishwasher safe claims. I have only 2 complaints, both are easily remedied. The handles of the lids get very hot-use a potholder. The pan handles themselves have not been a problem for me. The other is that the bottom does scratch kind of easily. Don't drag them on the stove, and hang them up if you can. I have to stack them in a cupboard, but a small cloth in between does the trick!
I love the set they are heavy duty and non stick ...
February 15, 2016
I love the set they are heavy duty and non stick that fried eggs and cheese with out nonstick spray - slide out of the pan I was just disappointed that the nonstick material is another word for Teflon,,lucky I will not use on the 500* if I can help it so hoping the fumes are not released and they seem to be strong enough to last I like the lifetime warranty also
I love to cook and love this set!
February 1, 2016
I love to cook and love this set! The set has a nice finish and includes a variety of sizes and I love using them all. The handles of the cookware do not get hot with normal use, though they will if you use them in the oven.My only complaint with the set is that the lids do not have vent holes. If you leave them on for awhile, you will start to hear creaking sounds and if you don't remove them, you may end up with broken lids. The lid handles do get a little warm when they've been in use for awhile so grab a potholder!
I'm still alive.
January 18, 2015
When I first received this, it looked amazing. However, 2 runs into my dishwasher and the outer coating started to fall off.I'm not sure if it's toxic, but I'm still alive after 2 years. I haven't tried sticking it in the oven yet. Gave it 4 instead of 3 stars because the handle is cool to the touch, though the closer you get, the hotter it is. Was also able to scratch the inside.
Great Set
April 16, 2010
Bought this set as a wedding present to myself! It came with high recommendations from my MIL, and I greatly trust her judgement. Everything so far has been good--arrived very well packed, and I chose the 14 piece set because I wanted to be sure to have a lid for everything, which I do. I thought the pasta steamer and the vegetable steamer were just an extra perk, but last night I used the pasta steamer for the first time and it leaked water all over my stove. As the water boiled, it spilled out of the gap between the steamer and where it fits into the big pot. At the end of the night I had to take off all the burners and clean underneath because I had standing water there--dangerous for an electric stove. I'm not sure yet how to fix this. But, even though they are not dishwasher safe they are VERY easy to clean! The nonstick finish ROCKS, makes cleanup an absolute breeze and greatly cuts down on use of oil and butter. Only downside is that the handles get very hot.Overall, a good product and I like it.

Poor design.
February 24, 2017
These pots look great, shiny and professional. However, the pot with the pasta insert drives me crazy. If you fill the pot and start to cook, as the water boils, it splashes up between the pot and insert, splashing all over you and the stove. A poor design! The taller small stock pot is not nearly as heavy as the rest of the pots. The smaller rounded perforated insert doesn't allow a lid to be used. Ptherwise the quality is good, design is poor'
Disappointed

They're beautiful, but I had researched this as appropriate for a smooth surface ceramic cooktop. The GE cooktop advised Stainless Steel with flat bottoms. The information on the Duxtop SSIB-Professional series assured me they met the specifications. I had purchased a new cooktop (to replace an old one). These beautiful pots and pans have scratched my new cooktop. I've followed all of the directions, i.e. cleaned and dried them before using. I don't slide them across the burners. I place them gently down and try to pick them up without moving them on the cooktop, yet 2 of the 5 times they have left a definite scratch. I wish I could speak with someone before leaving this review. I've never left less than a perfect review for everything I've received. Can anyone tell me if there is another pan I should invest (these were quite pricey) in for a new smooth surface ceramic cooktop.
Missing Cover, but overall a very nice set.
June 4, 2016
I love my pots! The handles too!!!! My cooking is even and the cleaning of them is so easy :) I gave it a 3 start because both of the smaller pots are supposed to have a cover, but only one came with a cover as advertised. So I found it kind of odd. Other than that, I am very happy with my set. I just wish the company would had not forgotten one simple pot cover. :(
Discoloration issue, but otherwise working fine
November 3, 2015
Induction cooking sometimes requires a new set of pans, becuase your old set won't do it. I selected these based on reviews and while I read most of them, as I was taken aback at the cheapness of these, here's what I have found.1. They do discolor. People tell you don't bring them about 60% or so in heating, but that's the point of induction...and boiling water at 60% your capability...makes no sense.2. Nonstick, this isn't an issue once you get used to it. Nonstick pans can be not so healthy for you when we near end of life on them. I decided that this option was not an issue when selecting mine. They will have food stuck on the base, but guess what...elbow grease, and not a lot of it, will help here.3. Non dishwasher reccommended. That's fine as my old set, Caphalon, were the same.Induction cooking is not as hard as it's made out to be and you certainly have much better controls. But beware the blue bottomed pan after a few weeks.

We have a good dishwasher, but these don't clean well in there. love the construction of them though.
We love the pans
March 26, 2015
We love the pans, however, they are staining on the inside and it doesn't come off with scrubbing. Otherwise they are good. But that is a big disappointment!

Lids are a hot mess!
October 28, 2016
I like the pans but the lids get so hot there is no way to lift them without a pot holder even on low heat. You would think a professional cookware set would be a bit more user friendly.

I'm very careful with them and still they have scratches from the the covers. I wish they had vents on the lids, also they get to hot to touch. On the plus side they are well made and work well.
Cuisinart 66-14 Nonstick Set
June 21, 2016
All is well with the set so far with a couple of exceptions; the big sauté pan which has an uneven bottom. I will be working with Cuisinart to get that replaced. The glass tops do not have a vent hole which makes using a thermometer difficult and causes the tops to rumbled when something is in heavy boil mode. Lastly, the tops are very finicky to seat onto the pots and can easily slide off when moving if not seated correctly. Other than that, I'm liking them so far.
Very disappointed, as I was replacing a 10-year-old set of ...
October 23, 2014
I have cooked on these pans for about a week and a half, and although I only use plastic or wood utensils on them, there are already scratches. These are NOT hard anodized, they are simply nonstick cookware. Very disappointed, as I was replacing a 10-year-old set of Cuisinart hard anodized that I love, but are in desperate need of retirement. Although these look very similar to the real thing, they are lighter weight and much less durable. I compared the item numbers on the pots to the older line, and some of the numbers are the same, however you can easily see and feel the difference. You know what they say, "if it seems too good to be true; it probably IS too good to be true." In this case, the price certainly does not reflect the quality. I gave 3 stars because they are usable and they are non-stick, however I feel that putting "Hard Anodized" in the name truly misrepresents the actual product. Buyer beware. Shame on Cuisinart for peddling an inferior product under a trusted name and style of cookware. I highly doubt this set will last me a year.
glass lid cracked
February 28, 2014
I had no trouble with the pots and pans until I was cooking soup in the stock pot . I stir the soup turned off the heat and placed the lid on top. !0 or 15 minutes I hear a pop in the kitchen. The lid on the stock pot had cracked and shattered. I have been trying to contact them for a replacement. But other that which i can't explain. I have enjoyed the product, but not sure about the lids.
product support stinks.
December 26, 2012
Purchased set when it was deal of the day. The lid for the 4 quart saute pan shattered while cooking two weeks later. Sent email to customer support and they sent replacement lid but was wrong size. Sent them email informing then of their error. They called a week later even when they claim they would call back within 3 business days. They tell me that they can't replace with same lid because they have no replacement lid for that size. They will give me a stainless lid but only after I return the replacement lid they sent me. It just seems ridiculous that they can't replace item with like item.

March 7, 2016
No matter what I use to coat the pans, food sticks to the pan. Eggs are the worst. Nothing works to keep the eggs from sticking to the pan. Not what I expected for the price. They are very sturdy and heavy. I'm afraid to use them for cooking spaghetti sauce. Don't want my sauce to burn.

Great looking but you can't keep anything from sticking to them. Burn on even the lowest settings, even when greasing them. Heavy duty and seems to be great quality product just needs something to be non-stick.
Even though I love the weight and feel of the pans
April 5, 2015
Even though I love the weight and feel of the pans, the skillets are hard to cook with and all of my food sticks. I haven't figured out how to clean them. They're supposed to be stainless steel, but I noticed a few rust marks on a couple of them the other day, and I've had them for less than a month.
The set is very pretty; that's about all
March 30, 2015
The set is very pretty; that's about all. I sent them back due to the metal pitting after just three uses on the inside.
Buzz.
November 30, 2014
These pots are gorgeous. Just as another reviewer said, they buzz on my cooktop. It is widely reported that there is a buzz on induction cooktops, however compared to some other pots I tried these had the worst of the buzz. Le Creuset cast iron covered with enamel possibly least. Calphalon and Zwilling Spirit about the same. I have a Bosch 800 induction cooktop. Sadly I will be forced to return. Also -- although it is said all induction cooktops buzz, mine did not buzz this loudly until after I had an issue with it. So despite claims that this sound is normal I am having a technician come look at the unit and will update. It seems to me that people with Bosch and Electrolux induction cooktops have the most problems. GE cooktops not so much. Although widely reported online as "normal" no cooking store I have talked to has ever heard of this problem. Not yet convinced uneven glass on the cooktop is not the problem.

Scratch the first time using
January 22, 2017
I'm only giving 2 stars.. 1 stars because nothing sticks and another for the heavy duty of the pan. I bought these not to long ago but really wanted to write a review after they scratched which was the first time I used them. I kept using them because I really needed them. But horrible quality. I wouldn't recommend to anyone

February 1, 2016
Purchased these in March of 2014, worked fantastic until they warped. Lasted less than two years. I'll more than likely continue using them out of necessity while I slowly buy single higher quality pots/pans at a time.
Very disappointed with the quality. I thought Cuisinart was top notch
December 12, 2014
I have only had this set for 2 months and it is already scratched. I use only plastic utensils. You can actually see circular scratches on the bottom of each pan. I hand wash and dry. I love the look and the weight. I am very disappointed they have scratched so badly already.
handles get too hot to touch
September 6, 2014
Pretty standard cookware, nothing fancy. The handles get very hot, too hot to touch so keep that in mind.
I had to edit my good review.
February 16, 2014
"I honestly didn't think i would get such good quality for the price.I am pleasantly surprised! (I also haven't had new pots and pans for a VERY long time) Cooking on these for the first time was fantastic! They are heavy and solid and you can tell they will last some time. I highly recommend these!" .... I should have used these before I reviewed. The lids have cracks in the glass that are unnoticeable until steam is present. The cracks are from the handle placement stretching to the outer rings. Luckily I have a random assortment of lids that fit the pots with cracks.I also am anal about the utensils I use and have never used metal or basically anything besides silicone and the Teflon is flaking off at a high rate. Two of my pots are completely out of commission because of the flakes.I thought they were better quality, and I take extremely good care of my pots and pans so I thought they would last. I was mistaken. On the look out for a new set...... minus the cracks and Teflon chips.
A year later, already flaking
December 27, 2012
For the first few months, I was really happy with this purchase. About two months ago, I started noticing that the pot we use for sauces had little flecks on the bottom. Upon closer inspection, it was actually the black non-stick coating which had flaked off-- exposing the silver of the pot below. We only have plastic stirring spoons (even though these claim the be resistant to metal utensils) and I imagine it is just use and acidity of the food (tomatoes, onions, etc) causing the erosion of the non-stick layer. I would have expected much much better from this brand and this price point, but so far my verdict is that these cant even withstand a year of medium-level use. Already looking for new ones, so I don't have to worry about the coating flaking off into my food.

Defective finish
February 21, 2017
Out of the box, this set is beautiful. It has everything that I needed, plus a little more. I've had the set for about 6 weeks now, and despite hand washing and drying them, all of the pots are covered with white spots. I've used Barkeeper's Friend on them, including making a paste out of it and letting it sit on the spot for a bit, but nothing is working. I think it must be a defect with the finish on them.I've contacted the manufacturer, Secura, who instructed me to make a paste with Barkeeper's Friend. When I let them know that the paste wasn't working, they stopped responding to my emails. Updated to say that they finally responded again, telling me to make a paste with Barkeeper's friend. Again. For a set in this pricepoint, I expected it to be durable, and I expected better customer service from the manufacturer. I should've purchased a different set.

Food sticks like metal to pans.. Don't buy
April 30, 2016
I would not recommend this set. If I could send it back, I would. The main problem is that food sticks like metal to the pan. One has to scour for a long long time to rid the pan of stuck on food. Regardless of which oil one uses, it still sticks. Right now I have the frying pan used at breakfast to make scrambled eggs still in the sink, soaking, and it is after 3 pm. Wish I had purchased the non stick pans.

The exterior of these pots and pans are horribly tarnished. Cuisensrt claims that there was ample warning not to put in dishwasher but I saw no warnings. When I I sent in pictures of the discoloration they replied that discoloration is not covered under their warranty. I called their customer service to complain but they said it was my fault so I lose. Will never purchase their products again and will tell all my friends and relatives about Their defective products and rude customer service.
My wife should have paid attention to bad reviews....
March 6, 2014
I am usually an analytical shopper, and try to read other buyer's opinions to make a sound decision. My wife bought this cookware set based on brand/stars, and we are terribly disappointed with the quality of the product. As other reviewers already mentioned, the glass cover will shatter easily. We were having lunch the other day, and heard a loud noise from the kitchen. The glass cover was totally shattered, even though the pan was not placed over direct fire. It seems that pressure derived from the moisture is enough to break the glass. Unacceptable quality, considering the prize we paid for it. I will try to upload a picture of the broken cover.
BEWARE OF SHATTERING GLASS COVERS
March 6, 2014
Purchased these on 12/15/13 cooking with the sauce pan with the glass cover. Glass cover shattered due to heat on 03/05/14 and ruined the food. This is unacceptable. I want to return them but I have passed the return policy so don't know what to do.I will contact Cuisinart and see what they will do. Pots are fine but beware of glass covers. I just contacted Cuisinart and they are sending me a new cover. UPDATE - Good customer service but unsure if I will use the cover. Suggest to not cover air tight.
Seems like a bad batch

I searched and made sure I read reviews to see what cookware set would fit me and at the right price!! Although it was a great price for the product, I was very disappointed. I read the positive reviews and I read the negative ones as well. The positive ones outweighed the negative ones so I purchased them. Upon receiving it, I checked each pot and pan to make sure there weren't any chips or scratches. The lids were perfect, but the pots and pans were not. Almost every single one had an issue with minor chips or scratches on the inside or outside. It was an easy process to return them and replace the order, and I do not fault Amazon. Receiving the second set, the same thing happened, minor scratches or chips. So I figured, third time's the charm, because I really wanted the set. Sure enough the third set had the same issues. I'm not sure if it was just the sets I received that had issues, just make sure you check for scratches and chips inside and outside the pans. Good luck.
Dont buy !!!
July 15, 2013
I read the reviews for this cookware. Many of which buyers stated their discontent on the issue of receiving damaged items. I order them thinking I would just take the chance of it not happening with my order. I totally had my head in the clouds. They went to Texas to my son and daughter in law for one of their wedding gifts. They arrived and two of them were damaged. A saucepan was out of round and the lid will not fit on. Then there is a skillet that has the coating messed up. My son was thankful to get them but, when I told him to pack them up and send them back, he said that they would just deal with it. Personally, I don't think they wanted to go threw all the trouble of packing them back up.It is my opinion that these pans could be manufacturer seconds without being advertised as such. Why else would there be so many complaints. The next time I see a significant amount of negative reviews I'll look elsewhere.
Loved it initially, but DOES NOT hold up!
November 21, 2012
These pots and pans are lightweight, yet cook food very well. They replaced my old Costco set (hey -- those worked great for 10+ years). The 1.5 qt pot makes rice better than my old non-stick pot and even better than my AllClad pot (all stainless). Flawless eggs from the frying pan (which, it just so happens, can also use the steamer lid). The extra lids (ostensibly for the steamer and pasta strainer... but why put a lid on those vs. the pot?) are nice to have.HOWEVER, there are quality and warranty issues -- see update below! The larger frying pan is a bit smaller than I expected, and would not work to stir fry a meal for 3 - 4 people (ok for 1 - 2). Luckily I already have another large frying pan. If the frying pan was larger, this would be a 5-star set.Good heat distribution, great non-stick properties and lightweight + easy to clean = 1 great set of pots. Especially when Amazon puts them on a lightning deal :)** UPDATE Feb 2013 **Just days after my return window on Amazon expired, I had a serious problem with the 2.8L saucepan and the steamer unit. Quite simply, the steamer unit did not fit properly and it scratched the pot (check out a picture at http://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-media/permalink/mo374HJRNZXZ4SF/B000C239HM/ref=cm_ciu_images_pl_link). How can a set leave the factory without them ensuring each piece fits properly?? And that "limited lifetime warranty" Cuisinart offers? Well to use that I must:- Packge up the pot and ship it cross-country at my expense- Include a check to pay for return shipping- Cuisinart will "consider" the request when they get my pot. After some undetermined length of time, they either send me a new one or ship the damaged one back to me at their discretion. What do I do for a large saucepan in the meantime? That's entirely my problem! Cuisinart won't accept photos or any other evidence. Send the pot, pay freight both ways, and wait until we decide is their motto.Wow -- when they say "LIMITED" wrranty, they mean VERY LIMITED in terms of how well (or rather, poorly) they take care of you when you have a problem.I thought I was buying a quality product from a company that would back it up with quality service if there was a problem. Clearly, I was WRONG! Next time, I'll go back to Costco. That Kirkland-brand set did great for 10+ years, and if there is a problem, I can ALWAYS go back to my local Costco.Last time I buy Cuisinart products online (perhaps at all)!! What had been a 4-star rating is now 1-star because of the (a) poor quality control on the pot/accessories and (b) low value of their warranty given the steps one must take to make a claim.
