Bought this as a Christmas gift for my mom last year. She loves it! Even a year later, the blades are still sharp and slices the vegetables as well as it did the day she pulled it out of the box. The blades are easy to change from blades that slice thicker to blades that slice thinner. It's easy to clean and doesn't take much space. You can slice almost any vegetable and it makes the job so much quicker and easier than slicing by hand with a knife. She has used it so much and it has been very well worth the money. Would definitely recommend for anyone that spends a lot of time preparing food.
Buy it...You won't be disappointed!

This slicer is great! I used it to slice potatoes for a scalloped potato dish and it worked smoothly. It has 5 interchangeable blades and everything fits nicely back in the box for easy storage. I love that it stands up on its own while you are slicing. The hand guard also works nicely with prongs to hold the item in place. I see this becoming a very handy tool for day-to-day prep in my cooking regimen. I've uploaded a copy of the instructions as some people can't seem to find them. The instructions come with the confirmation e-mail, versus printed and in the box.
Love it!

This is my first mandoline so there was a slight learning curve for me to get the hang of using it successfully. I mangled my first tomato and I sliced off a tiny chip of plastic from the safety grip slicing a potato... user errors all my own fault. But by my third time using it, it was a breeze. I love this thing! The price point is great for a mandoline with this many inserts for slicing varying thicknesses.

One recommendation I'd have for newbies like me: mine came with no instructions in the box, so the only description of which insert to use for different cuts was a picture on the side of the box. You might want to cut that panel off the box and keep it before you throw the box away.

I used the slicer for the first time today. I slice sweet onions to dehydrate. My family and friends love them so I dehydrate a lot. I don't know how long the blades will stay sharp, only time will tell. So far I absolutely love it! Easy to use, easy to change blades, easy to clean. I can slice large size onions. The guard is wonderful. Can't say enough about it, I highly recommend this mandolin slicer.
Great "Vegetti" Maker.
August 29, 2017
I have not used the peeler, and may never do so. Happy with what I have already on that.

However, the spiralizer has been great. I've had "zoodles and meat sauce" twice, and the zucchini noodles created with this worked just find. It's compact, easy to use, and just works.

I have one complaint, but it's so small that, as you can see, I still gave this 5 stars. A small portion of the vegetable winds up tucked into the little "nook" at the very center of the spiralizer. That's a small bit of waste that I wish didn't happen. However, even that winds up spiral-cut, sort of like a rotini noodle. This piece doesn't quite hold the same pasta texture as the "vegetti" that comes out. But I use this piece and don't have a hard complaint on it.
Now It's FUN to eat Veggies

I bought my Spiralizer when it was on sale but only got around to using it last night! Tonight, I am using it again. I am a Weight Watcher and loved the idea of turning vegetables, which I haven't been fond of, into noodles. I not only bought the Spiralizer but also the accompanying cook book. Today, I made carrot noodles - so easy AND fun! I'm going to use them with a simple recipe of bacon, parmesan cheese, and garlic (the recipe includes various peppers but I don't like pepper - I found the recipe delicious without the pepper-)
Although I had peeled zucchini noodles last night (and didn't even taste the zucchini!), I am already wondering how my carrot noodles will taste! The bundle also comes with a cookbook one can download and print, a little brush, and a peeler. You also get to see a video on what you are doing, as well as follow up e-mails.
Love this easy to use gadget

Love this easy to use gadget! The sharp blades make spiralizing a breeze and took less time than I expected. Great price point too!
IMAGINATION is the K-e-y! Yummmm
October 22, 2014
This Premium Slicer is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!! I use it almost every day. There are so many veggies and fruits that work well with this slicer. Watch the video on usage, it's important. Before I watched the video I was limited to using just zucchini but now - the sky is the limit. Use "fat" carrots, I made the mistake of trying baby carrots - not good. I have not branched out to various squashes and have made an amazing soup with all the vegetables and garnished the top with pear spirals.

See 2 pictures below. I made a salad and added baked salmon, quinoa, grapes, bell peppers and more. No pictures of the soup, it was devoured before I could snap a picture :-)

I've spiraled the vegies and put them in a pickling brine and voile! Can't believe how easy and yummy and EASY the results are.

Use your imagination and go c-r-a-z-y with your creations.

NoCry Cut Resistant Gloves
October 1, 2017
I have got the gloves for Florida because our house got hit by Irma and 7 of our windows were broken. I got them for me and my Fiance, both of the gloves were medium. The gloves were wonderful....no cuts for either of us....our A/C was out because of no power and it 95 degrees in the the house. I was sweating on all my body parts including my hands. The gloves were wonderful both but they were hard to get on but almost impossible to get off. I needed large and my Fiance needed small, my fault, but according to your letter you said if it was wrong size get back to you and you OK large and small gloves for us. We picked many many pieces of glass up.....about 50 pounds.....and honest to God there wan't a cut of each of us. We were beat working in 95 degrees and no fan, but no blood.....thankfully. You make great gloves but it hard to pick out the size of the gloves......could you send us a large and a small. Thank You
Great protection, Great company!

I make custom knives, and there are a few times in the process where you can get some kind of a cut. I ordered a pair of the NoCry cut resistant gloves, I ordered a large and they work as promised. However I have very wide knuckles and the large was hard to get into and fatigued my hands. I contacted the company, and the owner, promised to make me some extra large gloves. He did... He was very kind about it, and I received the new gloves yesterday. They are perfect for me. I couldn't help it, yesterday I took one of my very sharp knives and drew it across my palm. No cutting, no problem. I highly recommend these gloves for anyone who works around knives or sharp edged steel or tools. They clearly tell you not to use as protection with a table saw or bandsaw, and that is common sense. They give you the ability to work smarter and safer.
Good for knife usage
October 30, 2015
So let me get this straight, I ordered this pair and broke a glove on my brand new Mandolin (which is razor sharp)My intention was to use the gloves whenever I use my Mandolin, but after a 2nd usage I cut through the glove, luckily not hurting my finger. After seeing I cut through I had no intention to keep using the gloves as I felt not protected.I did not plan to leave any comment/feedback, but Raino from NoCry reached out to me to check in on how everything was.Let me tell you this ..., the people of NoCry really stand behind their product, Raino did admit that a Mandolin is most likely too sharp for the gloves and an exception, but for regular sharp knife usage it works just as advertised.Without me asking anything, Raino from NoCry immediately suggested to the gloves one more chance but use the gloves with any other sharp object except the Mandolin. He will ship me a new pair to try even though I told him I still have 1 glove and would just need 1 replacement if he really wanted to send me a new one.People who want to use the glove with a mandolin, do not buy these, you will need bulky, more expensive mesh gloves. For anything else these gloves are great and comfortable for daily usage.
My new favorite carving glove. Ambidextrous - great cut resistance, exceptional fit & flexibility, minimal bulk.
February 16, 2015
I waited several weeks before reviewing these, so I could see how well they hold up, compared to other carving gloves I've had (for edge tools, of course - never for power). It's been about six weeks, and by now, with most gloves, I'd have a hole (or several) in my index finger and thumb. I am a pretty serious wood carver, and I wear the glove on my left (holding) hand, so I give cut resistant gloves a lot of abuse. These seemed too good to be true, at between 1/4 and 1/2 the price (per glove) of any other decent carving gloves I've tried. By this time, I wondered if I would see the usual holes and excessive fraying. I did not. The fact that these are ambidextrous makes them twice as valuable to me, too, since I only need the left. They are so light and thin, with a completely snug, yet not constricting fit - I can even type with them. I worried they may not be as cut-resistant as they claimed - but they have proved to be as good or better than all the others at stopping very sharp edge tools. The knit is very tight, so I don't see skin like I do through others, so it even helps to minimize those unpreventable fine punctures, like with the point of a slipped skew. They will last longer than any other carving gloves I've tried to date, but another bonus from their lack of bulk is that I can wear a leather finger guard (and it's still less bulky than some), so they'll probably last several times as long as others have. Even the inevitable fraying is less than on others.I'll attach a couple pictures - you can see a little fraying just starting - but not bad, compared to others that would have very severe fraying and holes by now. Oh - and my usual glove size is women's 7.5.
They are cut "resistant" and DO a marvelous job
June 28, 2014
Update: The first pair wore out and we bought another. It's worth every penny! My wonderful wife frequently uses a mandolin in the kitchen. Sometimes, I believe she thinks she's on Top Chef or chopped. When she gets into julienning, I'm just waiting with car keys in hand to take her to the ER.So, as a proactive measure, I purchased these. They are quite comfortable. They stretch with excellent elasticity. She loves them and I feel more comfortable that she is wearing something that can protect her. She has used these gloves dozens of times. Not a single issue and she has washed them with the kitchen towels. No problem. For those who wrote that the glove got cut and you were disappointed. What if you weren't wearing the glove? It's cut "resistant".For about $10, it's a great safety tool for the kitchen.
NoCry Cut Resistant Gloves VS. a Sharp Knife

Nice wide face area to slice on so it works really well with larger veggies. Can't do anything on it with carrots. But foe my slicing needs, this is super quick and easy. Has become a STAPLE item in my kitchen. This product is well-made. PLEASE be careful---there is a learning curve to getting the hang of this and just use caution, the blades are SHARP!!
Slices well but be careful.
February 7, 2016
I like this slicer. You just need to be careful with it. What I found is that the piece that holds your vegetable only takes the vegetable down so far. I didn't want to waste so much food so I tried to continue the slicing by holding the vegetable and I almost sliced my finger doing so. Be careful with this slicer. I recommend getting the mitt you can wear that is cut resistant.

December 4, 2015
I was very excited to get this product. I used it a little bit and it has become a dust collector in my cabinets. The main reason is because the slicing guard is really big and when you've sliced maybe 2/3 of the vegetable or fruit, the guard hits the mandolin and doesn't allow more slicing. So you have to remove the remainder of the fruit/veg etc and hand slice it with a knife anyways. (Or maybe purchase a sharps glove for protection and still use the mandolin with your glove hand- may still be dangerous?)

I actually considered giving away my mandolin. Still mostly chop chop on my cutting board with a knife and I was excited to move away from that with a faster option.
First Timer on a Mandolin Slicer
November 3, 2015
The product arrived timely, and I give only a 4 star rating due to the following details. As a first time user and never having seen this product used, I was dismayed there were no instructions at all with the product, not even on the box it came in. The box did warn me to handle with care as the blades were very sharp. I had to go to the internet and watch YouTube videos to understand how it works. I figured out on my own how to change the slicers. I am sure as I get more familiar with using it, it will become a staple in my kitchen. I do wish I had a slicer where I could adjust the slice thickness, but the 3 different slicers will do for now.
Check your parts
August 11, 2015
It's plastic but better than the one I previously bought at the supermarket. However, it didn't come with instructions and instead of having a 3.5mm blade guide it had two 2.5mm guides. I'm waiting to hear from Amazon to see if they can get the missing piece for me. The safety guide is much better than the one I had and the adjustable prongs grab the food solidly.

Update: Amazon shipped me a new one and this had all of the correct pieces. Good to know that they worked so quickly to make it right. Thanks Amazon!
SOOO Many Zoodles...so little effort.
August 7, 2017
I like it! Made some linguini sized Zucchini Noodles and the little gizmo couldn't be easier to use. The Spiked cap helped keep fingers clear, and the metal side bars helped keep a firm grip. The Blades are super sharp and could be a night mare to clean without giving up a pint or two of blood. Luckily the included cleaning brush made quick work of the Zuch-debris. Great inexpensive way to get into making veggie spirals!
Pleased with product.
August 13, 2016
I don't think the thing that's supposed to hold the food works all that well as it kept slipping out of the food. Other than that, I think it's a good product for the money. I've made zucchini 'spaghetti' a few times with it and am very happy with the final product. This does the job and doesn't take up room on the counter like the big spiralizers. I'd buy it again or give it for a gift.
This Thing Really Works!
January 9, 2016
Took me a while but I finally joined the spiralizing bandwagon. I'm not disappointed and it's a fresh way to add variety to healthy eating. It does exactly what it says it does and zucchini pasta is surprisingly satisfying.

One of the downsides to these types of tools, including this one, is that it leaves a chunk of the veggie behind. I just cut it up and add it to whatever I'm eating. This one comes with a circular veggie "holder" with little plastic spikes but so far I've found that part of it to be useless, it doesn't grab a soft veggie very well and isn't made to grab a hard veggie like a carrot. I use my hands to hold the veggie and that works fine...just be careful when you get lower into the device as the blades are sharp. It also seems a little over-packaged, the storage bag that comes with it looks nice but I for one don't store my kitchen utensils in separate bags, it's not convenient when you're reaching for a tool. The bag is cute and I'll use if for something else.

All considered, a worthwhile purchase!
A good product for the price, but maybe a better design somewhere else?
June 22, 2015
I basically only use this to Mexican any pasta. While it does do the job and cuts it into pasta like slices nicely. It does waste the core pretty badly and is somewhat difficult to clean. It left me wondering if there was a better model that I could get the whole zucchini twirled without wasting so much of the core. I would buy it again because the price is right and it does work. I just wonder if I should've spent more and maybe have one that was better designed
Nifty Tool
July 19, 2014
I used it the day I received it. Works well once you "get the knack" which did't take long. I was under the impression a book and CD came with it for ideas. I contacted the customer service and discovered it is an e-book and video. They supplied me with the access links so I can't wait to do more with it. I made zucchini noodles and they cooked up just like spaghetti--I had long strands that held up well to cooking and stirring. Now that I have all the parts I think this is a great addition to the kitchen for healthy eating. After I have time to read the recipe book I may come back and rate it a 5 star/
I like the contact I have had from the seller
August 4, 2017
So far the gloves fit well and work well. They remind me to be more careful when using my knives. I bought them after a significant cut on my thumb when cutting carrots into strips. If they continue to perform well, I will most likely increase my rating to 5 stars. I just haven't had them long enough to make a "for sure" rating. They are definitely worth trying if you are looking for kitchen gloves. I like the contact I have had from the seller, very helpful and thoughtful.
Should've got these *before* chopping my thumb off
May 2, 2017
Bought these after slicing the end of my thumb clean off with a chef's knife in a moment of inattention. They do work, and importantly they don't really get in the way as much as you might think gloves would. Handling raw meat isn't fun: usually I'd just wash my hands and get back to prep, but that doesn't feel like it'd work here because of the texture. Good news is they're machine washable.Don't whatever you do be tempted to wear these when using power tools. They are for use when using knives. Wearing gloves around most power tools is an invitation for a horrific injury as the fabric sticks out, gets caught, and drags your hand right into the whirling machinery.
March 8, 2017
Nice quality gloves. They fit as expected and are comfortable. I really can't speak to their protective quality as luckily I haven't cut myself yet! I typically just reserve these gloves for when working with extremely slippery food items such as whole fish that require a little extra traction to process. Overall I think these were a nice investment and were a great deal. I would recommend these gloves.

April 24, 2016
I bought these gloves a month ago to make sauerkraut. As soon as they were delivered I was bombarded with emails from Raino, the founder of No Cry, which is located in "Estonia, a beautiful country in the heart of Northern Europe" asking for a favorable review. I promised Raino that as soon as I needed more sauerkraut I would review the gloves. So here goes. They are very comfortable and fit my medium-sized male hands well. I used them with a Borner V-Power mandoline, which has razor-sharp blades. I was careful. I only used one glove, on my right hand. I did not give the glove an intentional test by trying to see if the mandoline would slice through it. But I did not come close to getting a cut. I inspected the glove after use and found only one place where there could have been very slight damage to the glove. So my review would be that the gloves are of apparently very good quality, well made, and seem to perform as advertised. The gloves come as a pair, and they can be worn on either hand. Using a mandoline I only need to wear one glove, so it is handy to have a backup glove. My only reluctance in giving a 5 star review is that I cannot truthfully say how well the gloves prevent cuts because I did not intentionally try to cut them and did not have any mishaps that would have demonstrated how well the gloves stand up to misuse. Perhaps after a few more uses I would be able to give a more thorough review, but I promised Raino I would review the gloves as soon as I used them, so I did.
These gloves are a must if you own a mandolin.
February 14, 2016
I bought these to use in conjunction with the, Benriner Wide-Body Large Slicer. Most mandolins come with a “safety guard” but they are not very useful in my opinion, so you end up with your fingers coming very close to a razor sharp blade. That’s where these gloves come in. They are an extra layer of protection, just in case something goes wrong. Although I haven't tried cutting into these gloves (and don’t plan to), but I feel much better having them on.My one complaint with these gloves is that they soak up liquid. Since I’m working with food I end up having to wash them a lot. Each glove can be worn on either hand, so I use 1 glove at a time (on the hand that gets close to the blade) to minimize the wait time between washings.Overall I am very pleased with these gloves, they fit well and have held up well through many uses/washing'. It would be nice if they didn’t need to be washed so often, but thats just be my preference, and you might not feel the need to put them through the laundry after each use.
Too Small
January 6, 2015
My hands are on the small size for a guy . These gloves were even too small for me. I wish they would post palm measurement size on the product info so I could have steered clear. Too bad the large size isn't available.Note: My palm circumference is just over 7.5" inches (19 cm)UPDATE:NoCry contacted me, offered a refund, and informed me when the large size would be available. They even let me keep the gloves! I ordered the large size and they fit my hands fine. Added two stars for excellent customer support and better fitting gloves.

Be careful. The blades are very sharp.

I couldn't get the 'holder' to hold onto the carrot. So I thought I could do it by hand. Be careful - the blades are very sharp. I sliced my finger. Now, I am wary to use it.

It's not sharp enough
I love that everything comes out the same size
April 25, 2016
A little hard to work with at first but I got the hang of it. I love that everything comes out the same size. However the round thing to hold the food for safety purposes is somewhat useless, it does not hold anything too skinny, too thick, or too hard like sweet potato. That was a little disappointing so I ended up buying the NoCry Cut resistant gloves then I just hold the food in my hands and go up and down until almost the end works like a charm!
Love my new slicer
January 12, 2016
Love my new slicer....just have to be careful, that blade is really sharp. I cut my finger taking it out of the box because I wasn't paying attention. After inspection, blade had several nicks in one side. Contacted GalleyFresh several times, They said they would send a replacement several times. Now been several months and nothing!!

September 1, 2017
My son encouraged me to buy this spiralizer. The first time I used it I spiralized zucchini and yellow squash. Sometimes the veggies would be long like spaghetti and sometimes they would be very short pieces like hashbrown size. I think you have to develop a technique of some sort so that most of the veggies are spaghetti length. The same goes for using the cap to aid with the spiralizing. Maybe the more I use it the better I'll get. It's not a bad invention overall. I look forward to spiralizing other foods.

The only thing I don't like about this is that you have to have very specifically shaped Vegetables to fit in it.
September 30, 2016
I had high hopes for this spiralizer, however you have to be very careful not to shred your fingers when you get closer to the end of the vegetable. There is no real way to utilize the vegetable in its entirety, and your left with a sizable chunk left over.
The peeler that comes with it works ok, and I like that they added a brush for clean up. Cleaning is simple, just rinse immediately after use and all the bits rinse away easily. I will use this, and to be fair it does make nice "noodles". I'll be looking around for something that is a bit more user friendly.

March 24, 2016
I had a lot of fun with this my first time using it (yellow squash) but I wish the innards of the veggies didn't get so bunched up at the bottom of the cone- and since there's no hole to poke it through, you have to use your fingers to get the core unstuck, which is a bit nerve racking to be fiddling with something so slippery near those blades. Also, the big wasted core is kind of a bummer, too, so just chop it up and add it to your dish. It doesn't seem sharp enough to do much more than the outer peel and just under it, even on firm squash, which makes me nervous to try something harder like a carrot. I do have fun with this tool though, even if it is a pain to clean!
Vegatable Spiralizer Review
September 2, 2015
This spiralizer is ok. I had a Cooking Light recipe for "zoodles" so I figured I'd try out this product. There are two main reasons I'm only giving it 3 stars: first, my recipe called for 4 medium zucchini. My arm was so tired after sprializing 4 and it took a while because I had to keep stopping to re-position the zucchini so it fit in properly. Second, you cannot spiralize the entire vegetable because of the inherent design of the spiralizer. Therefore, there is quite a large "butt" left. I ended up quartering the "butts" because I don't like to waste food, however, because I was sauteeing the "zoodles" the different shapes cooked at different times which made the "zoodles" too tender (almost mushy). Now that I've used it once, I know what to expect and would do things differently next time I use it. The price is great, so I would recommend trying it. I think it would be great for garnishes and salad toppers. Just note that to spiralize a lot of vegetables will take time and effort.

Was disappointed in the disclaimer accompanying the gloves . It said they werent cut proof and since I take blood thinners thats why I purchased the gloves. I cant afford to get cut. Its too hard to stop the bleeding. Although I have yet to use them and I may never now that I may get a cut while using them, I guess I will keep them as its a hassle returning them.

August 11, 2017
I bought these to use with a new mandolin slicer. The second time using them the mandolin slicer sliced clean through one of the fingers on this glove. Had I not been using the gloves, I would've serious injured my finger, so thank you gloves. I understand these gloves are cut resistant, not cut proof, however, I didn't think these gloves would cut through so easily either. Perhaps my mandolin slicer is just that sharp and these gloves performed well under the circumstances. I don't really know.
Delivers what is promised but with few compromises
June 5, 2017
So Its been 3 days using these gloves, the things I like is obviously the resistance it gives to cuts and bruises which i get while loading and unloading boxes from truck to shops also the fit was excellent my fingers are long and palm is wide the medium size goes smoothly . But few things that i don't like about this glove is that I lost grip due to the material used on gloves it feels like polyester and wool mix, and due to that I have to be extra careful when carrying heavy & fragile boxes. The other annoying thing is the threads from glove sticks to my keyring or any similar objects due to which i get long frills of thread everywhere on my gloves.Last it does not have capacitive touch rubber /silicon that will help me using the mobile while driving or cycling I have to stop pull my gloves out and then check the directions.
They don't fit properly

I measured my palm like the instructions said and ordered the med. size. I received that size but I can hardly get them on. I'm going to have to send them back and have them replaced with the large size

I like these very much. I do feel that they offer a very valuable layer of protection. 3 stars because the gloves snagged which left a hole on the very first use. Also, I do feel these run a little big. I normally buy a medium in women's gloves. For the medium, the fingers are too long. I definitely need the small.

I would not recommend it.

Not handy. It does not cut correctly: it cuts only half of the veggies. I would not recommend it.

It works. The storage is a bit slippery for the blades as it is positioned horizontally for storage. The device to hold product for use is limited in size and you will have to use a knife to accommodate that. It is sharp and care has to be taken.
Expected good results - disappointed

I received my mandoline and I was excited.. To say the least, it was short lived. I put it together so that I could use it that night.. My family and I live on primarily a plant based diet, and do juicing, so having a mandoline I thought would've made thins a breeze and cut back on time spent slicing, etc. The blade isn't that sharp at all, it was a struggle to slice a sweet potato... And while slicing a pear, it was still a little challenging.
The plastic handle/tool broke, were it slides on to assist and make it so that you don't cut your hand/fingers.
This was my first mandoline and it made it a little difficult to want to buy another.
... this - I am not sure what others are like but it's difficult to get it flowing for me

Very hard to turn the veggies in this - I am not sure what others are like but it's difficult to get it flowing for me. Only used it a couple times either it was me not getting the knack of it or it's the tool.

I knew this wouldn't be amazing at the price point, and I got it because I was curious about spiralized veggies. I planned from the get go to upgrade if I really liked veggie noodles. My biggest complaint is that the grip end offers no stability, and just shreds the produce end. So I would just use my hand as much as I could and that resulted in more waste. Also, takes only smaller size produce. Did make good size noodles though.
Wish I wouldn't have

It cuts cucumbers well, but anything harder in texture is more difficult than I would have thought after reading the rave reviews. The cookbook is 2 1/2" by 5", and is only about 20 pages. The recipes call for quite a few ingredients most people won't have in their kitchen. I haven't eaten a date in decades, but most recipes call a date. How many of you have nutritional yeast, Himalayan pink sea salt and hemp seeds, tamari, walnut oil, puffed quanta or cashew creme in their kitchen? If you do, then this is the recipe book for you.
I won't use this nearly as often as I first thought. I fell for the latest fad, and am not proud of that fact
Save your money on all of these. Once you get it short enough it goes inside and then you have nothing to cut or hold to turn it

Little disappointed in it, once you get the cucumber or zucchini inside the unit, then can do anything with it. I even put on the lid and twisted it and all it did was tear up the end of the zucchini, so the inside is still big. Not sure if its worth it. I tried a peeler with the julienne blade and it worked better. Just my opinion. I would not buy this again. Cheaply made as well. Also the units that you turn works better as well, this just has nothing to push the zucchini or cucumber into the blade once it gets that size.

It's actually not too bad for vegetables that are the right size for the cone--zucchini, cucumbers, large carrots, but this device isn't nearly as versatile as some of other spiralizers out there. It's worth paying ten bucks more and getting a more versatile and easier to use device that can handle many different veggies and sizes. I also nicked my fingers getting a bit aggressive trying to get the very last spiral out of some cucumbers--kind of feel like some safety guides would be nice.
woodworkers beware
October 23, 2017
bought these to use as cut protection while woodworking, honestly have no idea how cut resistant they are but they're horrible to try and use while woodworking. If using on a smooth piece of wood, you cant keep hold of what you're cutting, it's like trying to hold on to a slimy catfish bare-handed. And if using on a rough piece of wood, the gloves snag constantly. I would never recommend these to anyone as woodworking gloves.
Buy a size bigger than expected
September 30, 2017
These worked great at first (I got them in small), but after using them they needed to be washed, and they have since shrunk considerably. I complained and was sent a free pair, in medium, by the company. Great customer service! They work amazingly when cutting difficult things like mangoes and butternut squash, which I always think I'll cut myself doing. I recommend getting them larger than you think you need.
Definitely not for wood carving
August 11, 2017
I finally got around to trying these when I was doing some hand carving on a vase. I'm not sure what their target audience is but it is definitely not carving. The first slip of the gouge went right through the glove and my skin! Looking at the cut fabric, it did not appear to be anything more than just cotton thread so I am not sure where the protection is supposed to come from. Guess I will have to spring for some chain mail gloves.
and they seemed to work okay but it is a disappointment that they had such a flaw
April 2, 2017
A loose thread present before initial use caused the glove to unravel at the fingertip...right where the protection is needed. I used them, carefully, and they seemed to work okay but it is a disappointment that they had such a flaw.
size runs small
February 21, 2017
I have small hands but the mediums are just very small, I wished I knew they ran small so as I would have ordered size large instead of medium size. Dangerous for me.
Sliced right through.
September 13, 2016
Upon receiving these gloves, I put a carrot inside one of the finger slots and lightly pressed my knife onto it and it completely sliced through. After reaching out to the company and receiving my refund for these, all I got regarding an explanation was "if the knife is sharp enough, of course it will cut through" .... I am a professional chef, and my main question is WHO USES DULL KNIVES ON A DAILY BASIS? Of course my knives are sharp. I mean, really? What a joke...The fact that I got my refund is the only reason this has 2 stars.

Please don't waste your money. Spend the extra couple $$ on a better one . Blades are already dull an food gets stuck where the 2 blades meet .

I think this was a waste unless I'm using it wrong. I will try again, but at this time it's not the best working piece of equipment for me.

This is the only review I've done in the 8+ years I've been an Amazon customer. The box was beat to hell when I got it and the plastic sleeves to cover a "new product" were ripped and shredded I think this has been sent back a few times. I used it for 15 minutes and threw it back in the box. Was slicing onions no big deal it should handle it right? Haha when it got to the center of the onion it just stuck halfway into a blade had to dig it out with my hand in fear of losing a hand or finger. The rest of the 5 minutes felt like a struggle to slice it would not move quickly through as it should. I don't know why this has 5 star reviews I guess people are just too used to cheap crap. I'd give it a -2 stars if I could.
Don't buy if you value your fingers.
September 9, 2017
This product is extremely difficult to use. The handle has basically no grip capacity - I was never able to successfully "spiral" veggies using the handle. I was able to do it by hand - but this results in either half of your veggie going to waste, or several tiny cuts on your fingers as you attempt to spiral the last bits of veg. Maybe someone with tiny fingers or who is more dexterous might have more success than I did, but overall my recommendation is to pay a few extra dollars to get a nicer quality one with a turn-crank handle.
Delivered today, used today, returned today.
August 28, 2017
Delivered today, used today, returned today. Promptly broke after 10 minutes of use, did not properly spiral zucchini, and wasted quite a bit of the vegetable in the process. Don't waste your money on this cheap, easily defective product.
Waste of money
May 25, 2016
I have had this for a few months before opening and using. I have done that today and the peeler was broken, made of thin plastic. Then I had to yank the brush that had been crammed into the spiralizer. Then I tried to spiralize. The thing is so small I don't know if a carrot would fit. I was trying to cook sweet potatoes. The thing wouldn't spiralize, it just jammed. Too much work. I am throwing it out and getting a better one.

This product is terrible! It is impossible to make spirals with any vegetable at all. You can not feed the whole vegetable into the spiralizer only about half of it. The cap that is supposed to be used to push the food through is a joke. I ended up cutting my finger trying to get a carrot out. Do not buy this product.
Words can't express how much I hate this product.
March 12, 2015
Are you kidding me? Come on. This is the biggest piece of junk I have seen in a while. I don't believe any of the positive reviews I've read here. Wasted half of each zucchini. Couldn't slice a carrot. Could only slice my finger. Makes my arm hurt trying to turn the veggie. Terrible product. I feel like asking for them to pay ME to have gone through the trouble of even trying this. What a joke. No thank you. Glad I'm a Prime member and could return it without paying for shipping. Words can't express how much I hate this product. Spend the extra $14 and buy a real Spiralizer.
Not safe for cutting
November 6, 2017
I do not believe that “cut resistant” is an accurate description for these gloves. They are like cotton/polyester winter gloves. They did not provide me with any sense of protection to use with my mandolin. Returning immediately and I would not recommend this product to anyone.
Not for Barbed wire or razor wire work!
November 6, 2017
They did not work with razor wire installation or barbed wire.

Cut through the glove on our very first test
December 28, 2014
We weren't sure of how much to trust these, so immediately upon receiving them we stuck a carrot in one of the fingers and just ran it down our mandolin. That was the end of that as you can see in the picture. This wasn't a particularly forceful pass across the blade, just a first try. We really wanted these to work!
