Great "Vegetti" Maker.
August 29, 2017
I have not used the peeler, and may never do so. Happy with what I have already on that.

However, the spiralizer has been great. I've had "zoodles and meat sauce" twice, and the zucchini noodles created with this worked just find. It's compact, easy to use, and just works.

I have one complaint, but it's so small that, as you can see, I still gave this 5 stars. A small portion of the vegetable winds up tucked into the little "nook" at the very center of the spiralizer. That's a small bit of waste that I wish didn't happen. However, even that winds up spiral-cut, sort of like a rotini noodle. This piece doesn't quite hold the same pasta texture as the "vegetti" that comes out. But I use this piece and don't have a hard complaint on it.
Now It's FUN to eat Veggies
May 31, 2016
I bought my Spiralizer when it was on sale but only got around to using it last night! Tonight, I am using it again. I am a Weight Watcher and loved the idea of turning vegetables, which I haven't been fond of, into noodles. I not only bought the Spiralizer but also the accompanying cook book. Today, I made carrot noodles - so easy AND fun! I'm going to use them with a simple recipe of bacon, parmesan cheese, and garlic (the recipe includes various peppers but I don't like pepper - I found the recipe delicious without the pepper-)
Although I had peeled zucchini noodles last night (and didn't even taste the zucchini!), I am already wondering how my carrot noodles will taste! The bundle also comes with a cookbook one can download and print, a little brush, and a peeler. You also get to see a video on what you are doing, as well as follow up e-mails.
Love this easy to use gadget

Love this easy to use gadget! The sharp blades make spiralizing a breeze and took less time than I expected. Great price point too!
IMAGINATION is the K-e-y! Yummmm
October 22, 2014
This Premium Slicer is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!! I use it almost every day. There are so many veggies and fruits that work well with this slicer. Watch the video on usage, it's important. Before I watched the video I was limited to using just zucchini but now - the sky is the limit. Use "fat" carrots, I made the mistake of trying baby carrots - not good. I have not branched out to various squashes and have made an amazing soup with all the vegetables and garnished the top with pear spirals.

See 2 pictures below. I made a salad and added baked salmon, quinoa, grapes, bell peppers and more. No pictures of the soup, it was devoured before I could snap a picture :-)

I've spiraled the vegies and put them in a pickling brine and voile! Can't believe how easy and yummy and EASY the results are.

Use your imagination and go c-r-a-z-y with your creations.

Perfect if you want to chop small chunks of veggies
October 1, 2017
Very small and efficient. Perfect if you want to chop small chunks of veggies. I use it to chop up veggies for my finches, the result is a mush fine enough for their tiny beaks. I'd imagine it's perfect for salsa, etc.
Great Mini Chopper
August 6, 2017
This is a nice unit. Chops well and the way it works by pressing the lid handle down is clever. It is also cat proof unless you just let it lying around which is good. I have two crazy kitties and I wouldn't want them to get hurt. They eat my pills if I leave the cap off and they get all goofy. This chopper is well worth the 15 bucks or so.

Works fine
May 31, 2017
B&D changed the design by putting a single switch and reducing the overall size of the motor, but it seems to work just as well as the old one we had to replace. It had worked for many years. Hope this one works as well. So far, so good.
Good little machine
May 22, 2017
Good little machine. Use it a lot. Oddly difficult to figure out how to use first time or two -- maybe it's just me, I've never had a food processor before -- but once you get the hang of it, it's a breeze. Works well, easy to clean. Perfect for a small bachelor kitchen.

SOOO Many Zoodles...so little effort.
August 7, 2017
I like it! Made some linguini sized Zucchini Noodles and the little gizmo couldn't be easier to use. The Spiked cap helped keep fingers clear, and the metal side bars helped keep a firm grip. The Blades are super sharp and could be a night mare to clean without giving up a pint or two of blood. Luckily the included cleaning brush made quick work of the Zuch-debris. Great inexpensive way to get into making veggie spirals!
Pleased with product.
August 13, 2016
I don't think the thing that's supposed to hold the food works all that well as it kept slipping out of the food. Other than that, I think it's a good product for the money. I've made zucchini 'spaghetti' a few times with it and am very happy with the final product. This does the job and doesn't take up room on the counter like the big spiralizers. I'd buy it again or give it for a gift.
This Thing Really Works!
January 9, 2016
Took me a while but I finally joined the spiralizing bandwagon. I'm not disappointed and it's a fresh way to add variety to healthy eating. It does exactly what it says it does and zucchini pasta is surprisingly satisfying.

One of the downsides to these types of tools, including this one, is that it leaves a chunk of the veggie behind. I just cut it up and add it to whatever I'm eating. This one comes with a circular veggie "holder" with little plastic spikes but so far I've found that part of it to be useless, it doesn't grab a soft veggie very well and isn't made to grab a hard veggie like a carrot. I use my hands to hold the veggie and that works fine...just be careful when you get lower into the device as the blades are sharp. It also seems a little over-packaged, the storage bag that comes with it looks nice but I for one don't store my kitchen utensils in separate bags, it's not convenient when you're reaching for a tool. The bag is cute and I'll use if for something else.

All considered, a worthwhile purchase!
A good product for the price, but maybe a better design somewhere else?
June 22, 2015
I basically only use this to Mexican any pasta. While it does do the job and cuts it into pasta like slices nicely. It does waste the core pretty badly and is somewhat difficult to clean. It left me wondering if there was a better model that I could get the whole zucchini twirled without wasting so much of the core. I would buy it again because the price is right and it does work. I just wonder if I should've spent more and maybe have one that was better designed
Nifty Tool
July 19, 2014
I used it the day I received it. Works well once you "get the knack" which did't take long. I was under the impression a book and CD came with it for ideas. I contacted the customer service and discovered it is an e-book and video. They supplied me with the access links so I can't wait to do more with it. I made zucchini noodles and they cooked up just like spaghetti--I had long strands that held up well to cooking and stirring. Now that I have all the parts I think this is a great addition to the kitchen for healthy eating. After I have time to read the recipe book I may come back and rate it a 5 star/

Best $10. Kitchen Appliance I've Ever Bought !
October 21, 2017
REVISED: After 2 months, my BandD food chopper bit the bullet.I hoped it would last longer, but for $9.22 and free shipping ... how can I complain.I'm going to try the Ninja unit .. It's $19. but I could buy 10 of these units where in the pastI might have purchased a hundred dollar machine. So I took down one star for longetivity ...This Item cost me $ 9.22. I have the Ultra Bullet ... I have the Ninja Blender ..... I have a vitamix ... but this 10 dollar (yep .. 10 dollar) baby is what I use the most. I make hummus, peanut butter acai bowls and banana ice cream (made out of frozen bananas) ..... and it's a jiffy to clean (which is why I prefer it). I have to admit, I expected it to break after the first few uses, but this thing is a little powerhouse .... Gets some used to putting the top on perfect or it won't start, but that's for your safety.BTW: Did I mention the free shipping ?

Great product!
August 20, 2016
A bit smaller than I realized. But it works like a charm! Have used it nearly 3 hours straight while preparing several meals at a time. Boy did this save me lots time and energy chopping!!!Even my older kids love to use this! Very simple to use and wash!
Kinda Nice little item for light jobs
June 18, 2016
A little flimsy but it works. Thought I would use it a lot more. It's small so it doesn't take up a lot of room and you're not lifting a big heavy item from your cupboards. It's actually perfect for parsley and small herbs. Very good for herbs and spices that go into making sauces and dressings. I probably wouldn't try anything too heavy in here like hummus. 4 stars as I wish it had been better quality plastic. But I like it ok.

I have a disability wit my hands. I bought this because I can't handle small things every well. This worked quite nice scambling eggs, chopping garlic, or celery... etc. But it is a little tough for me to turn the top to the lock position. Wish it was a bit larger for easy grip. And the cord is just a bit too short.
Better for mincing and purée
December 24, 2015
Got on a sale deal for like $15 as opposed to the $70 something that it's marked for retail. This price is acceptable. Good for more of a minced type of chop as opposed to more chunky. Compact size and easy to clean!

Manual Labor
September 1, 2017
My son encouraged me to buy this spiralizer. The first time I used it I spiralized zucchini and yellow squash. Sometimes the veggies would be long like spaghetti and sometimes they would be very short pieces like hashbrown size. I think you have to develop a technique of some sort so that most of the veggies are spaghetti length. The same goes for using the cap to aid with the spiralizing. Maybe the more I use it the better I'll get. It's not a bad invention overall. I look forward to spiralizing other foods.

The only thing I don't like about this is that you have to have very specifically shaped Vegetables to fit in it.
Meh...
September 30, 2016
I had high hopes for this spiralizer, however you have to be very careful not to shred your fingers when you get closer to the end of the vegetable. There is no real way to utilize the vegetable in its entirety, and your left with a sizable chunk left over.
The peeler that comes with it works ok, and I like that they added a brush for clean up. Cleaning is simple, just rinse immediately after use and all the bits rinse away easily. I will use this, and to be fair it does make nice "noodles". I'll be looking around for something that is a bit more user friendly.

March 24, 2016
I had a lot of fun with this my first time using it (yellow squash) but I wish the innards of the veggies didn't get so bunched up at the bottom of the cone- and since there's no hole to poke it through, you have to use your fingers to get the core unstuck, which is a bit nerve racking to be fiddling with something so slippery near those blades. Also, the big wasted core is kind of a bummer, too, so just chop it up and add it to your dish. It doesn't seem sharp enough to do much more than the outer peel and just under it, even on firm squash, which makes me nervous to try something harder like a carrot. I do have fun with this tool though, even if it is a pain to clean!
Vegatable Spiralizer Review
September 2, 2015
This spiralizer is ok. I had a Cooking Light recipe for "zoodles" so I figured I'd try out this product. There are two main reasons I'm only giving it 3 stars: first, my recipe called for 4 medium zucchini. My arm was so tired after sprializing 4 and it took a while because I had to keep stopping to re-position the zucchini so it fit in properly. Second, you cannot spiralize the entire vegetable because of the inherent design of the spiralizer. Therefore, there is quite a large "butt" left. I ended up quartering the "butts" because I don't like to waste food, however, because I was sauteeing the "zoodles" the different shapes cooked at different times which made the "zoodles" too tender (almost mushy). Now that I've used it once, I know what to expect and would do things differently next time I use it. The price is great, so I would recommend trying it. I think it would be great for garnishes and salad toppers. Just note that to spiralize a lot of vegetables will take time and effort.

Great for chopping dry but NOT FOR LIQUIDS!
October 2, 2017
Bought Black & Decker again because loved my old one HOWEVER this one has problem: the cutter attachment is not sealed from the good i.e., blending any LIQUID means the food/liquid gets under and into the cone and spills out onto the unit and your counter if you lift the cutting segment out with liquid still in it and is VERY difficult to clean. Great for grinding dry things like nuts but DON'T BUY THIS MODEL if you plan to use it for anything liquid!
Not great for a chopper.
August 29, 2017
Got this to replace another I had of the same model. This one doesn't seem to be as sturdy, and power switch doesn't work well. Blade tends to chop onions to a pulp.

June 25, 2017

October 25, 2016
I got this at a very affordable price. The bowl/mixer/lid all come apart for easy cleaning. But food gets stuck up inside the white middle part of blade and Its difficult to remove. I feel there's a flaw or more in the design. It Is a real pain in the butt aligning the lid up perfectly so Itll start. You have to get It exactly right where the dot lines up. I thought something was wrong with mine at first but It was just that. It chops food very fine, maybe a little too much sometimes even. Its loud for a small chopper, louder than another Ive had.

Very hard to turn the veggies in this - I am not sure what others are like but it's difficult to get it flowing for me. Only used it a couple times either it was me not getting the knack of it or it's the tool.
I knew this wouldn't be amazing at the price point
November 4, 2016
I knew this wouldn't be amazing at the price point, and I got it because I was curious about spiralized veggies. I planned from the get go to upgrade if I really liked veggie noodles. My biggest complaint is that the grip end offers no stability, and just shreds the produce end. So I would just use my hand as much as I could and that resulted in more waste. Also, takes only smaller size produce. Did make good size noodles though.
Wish I wouldn't have
May 8, 2016
It cuts cucumbers well, but anything harder in texture is more difficult than I would have thought after reading the rave reviews. The cookbook is 2 1/2" by 5", and is only about 20 pages. The recipes call for quite a few ingredients most people won't have in their kitchen. I haven't eaten a date in decades, but most recipes call a date. How many of you have nutritional yeast, Himalayan pink sea salt and hemp seeds, tamari, walnut oil, puffed quanta or cashew creme in their kitchen? If you do, then this is the recipe book for you.
I won't use this nearly as often as I first thought. I fell for the latest fad, and am not proud of that fact
Save your money on all of these. Once you get it short enough it goes inside and then you have nothing to cut or hold to turn it
March 9, 2016
Little disappointed in it, once you get the cucumber or zucchini inside the unit, then can do anything with it. I even put on the lid and twisted it and all it did was tear up the end of the zucchini, so the inside is still big. Not sure if its worth it. I tried a peeler with the julienne blade and it worked better. Just my opinion. I would not buy this again. Cheaply made as well. Also the units that you turn works better as well, this just has nothing to push the zucchini or cucumber into the blade once it gets that size.
Underwhelmed
March 2, 2016
It's actually not too bad for vegetables that are the right size for the cone--zucchini, cucumbers, large carrots, but this device isn't nearly as versatile as some of other spiralizers out there. It's worth paying ten bucks more and getting a more versatile and easier to use device that can handle many different veggies and sizes. I also nicked my fingers getting a bit aggressive trying to get the very last spiral out of some cucumbers--kind of feel like some safety guides would be nice.

Love chopper, but 2 have cracked in the same spot
November 8, 2017
I absolutely love this chopper, BUT the blade assembly is garbage. The chopper: perfect size to chop up small amounts of stuff, and it does a good job. My first one, I received for Christmas as a gift. Maybe about 6 months in, the black plastic cracked where it holds in one of the blades. Hoping it was just a one-time thing, I ordered the same model, with "improved assembly." This one cracked after 6 *weeks* of use, in the same exact spot (return period: 4 weeks, sigh). The culprit seems to have been dried cherries, nothing crazy-difficult to chop.
but so disappointed by the new design and less powerful motor
September 17, 2017
We were excited to replace our trusty old version of this food chopper, but so disappointed by the new design and less powerful motor. If we had not missed the return window, we would have sent ours back. What this is good for -- chopping very small amounts of food. Very small amounts. Maybe the larger one is better. I miss the old design, which was easier to use and clean, in my opinion.

Works OK but has few issues:1) The lid has to be aligned in a particular way when you close. If you do not the lid will get stuck and takes time and effort to dislodge2) It broke after 9 months
Plastic lid doesn't hold up
August 1, 2016
I liked it just fine until it broke. I got this at the end of December last year and have used it less than twice a week since then. The small piece on the lid that tells the unit that the cover is on (and therefore OK to turn on) broke off. There's no way to fix it...and now no way to use it.
So if you have any rheumatism in your hands this is not the blender for you even though it does a good job of chopping
December 24, 2015
Dont buy this blender unless you are a weight lifter. It takes a lot of hand strenth to close and open the lid and even more to remove the cup for cleaning. So if you have any rheumatism in your hands this is not the blender for you even though it does a good job of chopping. Also for extented chopping needs you must keep continual pressure on the start button. Other blands have a hold feature. I would not buy this model.

Don't buy if you value your fingers.
September 9, 2017
This product is extremely difficult to use. The handle has basically no grip capacity - I was never able to successfully "spiral" veggies using the handle. I was able to do it by hand - but this results in either half of your veggie going to waste, or several tiny cuts on your fingers as you attempt to spiral the last bits of veg. Maybe someone with tiny fingers or who is more dexterous might have more success than I did, but overall my recommendation is to pay a few extra dollars to get a nicer quality one with a turn-crank handle.
Delivered today, used today, returned today.
August 28, 2017
Delivered today, used today, returned today. Promptly broke after 10 minutes of use, did not properly spiral zucchini, and wasted quite a bit of the vegetable in the process. Don't waste your money on this cheap, easily defective product.
Waste of money
May 25, 2016
I have had this for a few months before opening and using. I have done that today and the peeler was broken, made of thin plastic. Then I had to yank the brush that had been crammed into the spiralizer. Then I tried to spiralize. The thing is so small I don't know if a carrot would fit. I was trying to cook sweet potatoes. The thing wouldn't spiralize, it just jammed. Too much work. I am throwing it out and getting a better one.

November 16, 2015
This product is terrible! It is impossible to make spirals with any vegetable at all. You can not feed the whole vegetable into the spiralizer only about half of it. The cap that is supposed to be used to push the food through is a joke. I ended up cutting my finger trying to get a carrot out. Do not buy this product.
Words can't express how much I hate this product.
March 12, 2015
Are you kidding me? Come on. This is the biggest piece of junk I have seen in a while. I don't believe any of the positive reviews I've read here. Wasted half of each zucchini. Couldn't slice a carrot. Could only slice my finger. Makes my arm hurt trying to turn the veggie. Terrible product. I feel like asking for them to pay ME to have gone through the trouble of even trying this. What a joke. No thank you. Glad I'm a Prime member and could return it without paying for shipping. Words can't express how much I hate this product. Spend the extra $14 and buy a real Spiralizer.

If this is the improved version I’d hate to see its predecessor. Lid easily cracks. Worst of all the blade isn’t reversible and is unable to chop anything finely - it just ends up stuck to the sides.

I purchased this a year ago and it just died on me. Totally not working. Only one year I cant buy it again and use it a year and have it die again. very dissapointed Black and Decker has a good reputation. Not any more. It is true it does take too much time to get it started always lining up everything perfect. Who needs that. No I am going to shop somewhere locally so I can bring it back to them when it doesn't work.
