Recommended, convenient and easy to use
July 20, 2015
Pros: Portable, low price, syncs quickly, and immediately provides bluetooth capability to a car.Cons: Feedback pop when it turns on and when it initially syncs with your phone or other device.Additional detail: This model does not come with a charger which you will need, but there is a mini-USB to USB connector cord included. You will use the regular USB end to connect to a charger.Summary: A friend suggested a portable bluetooth adapter after I complained of fumbling about with cables to hook up my phone in my car. I tried the G-Cord based on its lower price and have been very satisfied with it. Easy to use and sync in the car giving me bluetooth capability and relatively hands free operation in an 8 year old borderline beater car. The primary drawback is the loud feedback pop through the speakers when it turns on or when it syncs with a device, so you may want to have the volume lowered for that, but beyond this it works quite well. I did try it on a portable speaker in the house and it did not work with that (a Logitech model) but that was not too concerning as long as it performed in the car. The battery cycle on the G-Cord is good, goes about a week with two commutes per day of 45-65 minutes. However, I didn't consider the need to charge the device and this one does not come with a car charger (though it has a cord to attach to one). So I suggest you plan on having a charger that accepts a USB cable.

This thing is great. It's small and will conveniently fit just about anywhere. I use it in my car for the most part which has Bluetooth only for phone calls. When listening to music, the phone rings and music is muted for the call. Music resumes once the call ends. Pairing was unbelievably simple and instantaneous. I would recommend this to anyone looking to utilize Bluetooth in an aux port.
No more annoying aux cord!!! Lol

Got mine today and love it!!
Good for the money and more
June 10, 2015
I really was not expecting it to be as good as it really is. It is really easy to connect to. I tried it with two different iphones and my computers (both mac and pc) and was able to pair every single time. I tried it with my bose wired headphones, and found the clarity just as good as wired. The only con is that when there is no sound, it has low background static. Overall very happy.
change in audio pitch while listening from phone with device
June 6, 2015
Just some minor problem. The pitch of the audio changes when phone is connected to this device. Anyone else having this issue? Wonder if it's because of not being charged fully. It's blinking blue right now.
Outstanding Product, Highly Recommended!
June 5, 2015
I highly recommend this product. It was purchased because the aux cable in my car was starting to wear out and this seemed like a more practical replacement than another cable. The price is great and it had almost 100% 5-star reviews so I went with this model over other similar receivers. At this point, I have no complaints. The stated battery life is sufficient to get you through all but the longest road trips (six hours) though I've never pushed mine over 3.5 hours. If you had a power source to connect the included USB cable, it could run indefinitely. Pairing was easy and it connects to my phone instantly every time. Audio quality and connection reliability are outstanding, it never skips or disconnects even though the aux input in my car is down in the bottom of the center console. So far, I've only used it in my car but I can think of a number of other uses for it. You could connect it to any other pair of headphones to instantly make them into a bluetooth headset and you could also connect it to any set of speakers or home audio system to create a bluetooth connection. If you're currently using an aux cable for audio in your car, you need this even if your cable isn't wearing out as mine was.

Great little Bluetooth adapter.
April 20, 2016
This thing works good enough. I do sometimes get a slight static sound but i guess that's normal, especially when you listen at a higher volume. The mic on this thing is awesome. I use it in my car as a Bluetooth stereo and had no problems hearing and being heard. I recommend this item.
Works as advertised, a few minor details worth noting
March 22, 2016
This product works just as described. There are a few minor notes that are worth making. The product does connect easily but it does require you to connect manually every time ( I use an iphone 6 in my car) you enter the car i.e. you have to turn the device on and then go into your settings to pair the device. Not a huge deal but it does take some time. The device works well with music and phone calls. However, when connected to the device during a call, you need to have the device out in the open or close to your mouth in order for the device to pick up what you are saying so it can be broadcast across the phone line. Your speech is picked up by a speaker port on the bluetooth device itself rather than your phone. There is no noticeable lag or lax in clarity. Overall, great device minus these few minor things.
Good product for the price
March 22, 2016
This is a cool little Bluetooth receiver that I connected to my car in order to hear music without having my aux cord plugged in. It was a bummer when I recieved it and found out that the silver aux cord connected to the device was not included. I don't know if it was just my.order but mines didn't have it included. Was a bummer but not much a big deal aside from initially having trouble connecting to my phone after I got it set up it works perfect. Every time I get in my car I turn it and it wokrs amazing. Doesn't drop signal and I am very pleased with it.
the other is perfect. Maybe I got a fussy one
February 12, 2016
Bought 2 of these. One is a royal pain to sync, the other is perfect. Maybe I got a fussy one? The battery lasts maybe 8 hours. One thing we discovered, you need to have a 2amp wall charger. Its just the cord with the unit. If you have the cheap import adapters, these won't charge right. You need the quality adapters that come with cell phones.
Works very well w/caveat
September 24, 2015
When my phone headphone jack had a volume problem, I ordered this to use the phone's bluetooth function to play my GOOG Playmusic app to an accessory amp. Works very well w/1 annoying feature: The bluetooth connection goes off in a preset timing which wouldn't be terrible, but since the transmission goes thru an amp, the female-recorded message announcing the disconnect and then immediately announcing the reconnect is very loud and irritating, requiring turning the unit off when there's a pause of several minutes duration in sending music to the amp.

Good but Battery life sucks.
July 12, 2017
the sounds is good but the battery on mine stopped working. I have to have it constantly plugged in for it work.
I've used this with good results, but i use it very infrequently
January 24, 2016
I've used this with good results, but i use it very infrequently, and can no longer get it to pair to my iphone 5s or the ipod. It's been paired with them before, but i'm struggling to get it working again. It tells you when its "pairing" thru the radio speakers,...but that's all that will happen. Is there a step im missing. I've paired my phone with a dozen other devices with no issues. ? ? ?
Functional but noisy
December 1, 2015
It's fair. On the one hand, it works as a Bluetooth receiver, is small and lightweight, and easy to use. On the other, it's fairly noisy. It's not too bad when music is playing since that will mask the noise, but when you're listening to podcasts, on the phone, and especially when paired without audio, there is an audible low-level hiss with electronic interference (high-pitched buzzes and tics).
Great product, not highly satisfied.
October 22, 2015
It functions perfectly. Plays music and streams without any signal loss. Charge time is fast and for me the battery life is great. I drive to work and back home in 20 minutes each stri, 6 days a week. My only complain with this receiver is that when I turn it on it takes at least 1 minute to pair or sometimes doesn't pair and I have to go on Bluetooth settings on my iPhone 6 to pair. Other complaint, maybe it's just me but I really do not like the voice when it turns on/off or when I have an incoming call. I don't know I find it useless and annoying. With this being said its a great Bluetooth receiver for the price.
It's great to not have to look at or unlock my ...
September 14, 2015
Pros:
1. Music over bluetooth works as expected/advertised.
2. Dedicated buttons for next/previous track. It's great to not have to look at or unlock my phone to skip a track.

Cons:
1. Phone call volume reduced to the point that it's impossible to use for phone calls. Alternatively, you crank your car volume for the call and then the music is blasting when you end the phone call.

Summary, as long as you never take phone calls while driving this thing is great.

Would not connect to phone automatically
August 4, 2017
I had a problem with it connecting to the phone. I would turn it on and it would not automatically connect to the device. I would have to hold the button for a few seconds and then it would connect. It took effort every time I got in the car which made it not worth it. It was easier to use the regular aux cable.
Doesnt Disconnect automatically. drains all the battery.
May 22, 2016
the bluetooth module doesnt disconnect automatically, and even when i turn my phones bluetooth off, the module doesnt turn off. it keeps blinking, draining all the battery over night. and in some cases, even when i forcfully turned it off, it turned on again and started searching.
plus using the buttons on the side (which you probably wont figure out is changing the song or turning the volume up) is a menace. youd probably avoid using it.
other than that working is fine. connection speed it great. transmission quality is also great. but the NOT TURNING off issue is like a major issue, and drains the battery. and you cant go and keep charging it evertime you needa use it.
Disappointed
April 5, 2016
It connected easily and generally works as intended. I have tried it numerous times over the last couple of months on 2 different receivers and speaker systems, and 3 different phones/ipods. In every case, the G-Cord causes a distinctive "click...click...click" sound. When playing music, it is mostly drowned out, but once you know it's there, you can't ignore it. If you play music loud, it may not be an issue, and most product reviews did not mention this issue. It was such a great price, I knew that there was some risk. Lesson learned.
Just about OK. Not worth the money
March 15, 2016
I have used this for 5 months now and I think it is just about an OK product. I think there are many other products available at much cheaper prices for the same functionalities.
1) The connectivity range is fine but it’s a hassle It connects to the phone when you are in the car and has no issues. The issue however is with the hassles to get it connected. You have to switch the bluetooth device on (a long press and hold to switch it on), and in most cases it will not pair with your phone. You will have to go into your phone – settings - bluetooth and manually connect to g-cord device.
2) While the audio is good, this device is not handy, if you intend to take phone calls. The mic is very weak and does a very shabby job. The person on the other side can hardly hear you. If you receive a call when connected to the g-cord Bluetooth device – it does not automatically play the audio from the car speakers – rather it open up an option on the phone to chose the mode of connection (g-Cord, Iphone etc)
I only owned this for like 4 months and it stopped charging
February 6, 2016
I only owned this for like 4 months and it stopped charging. Even though it was paired to my phone, it never reconnected itself like most other Bluetooth devices. I used it in my car and it was very annoying. It would constantly disconnect on me while driving, sometimes like two or three times in a row. Just annoying all around, don't waste your money like I did. Got an Mpow and it's way better than this junk

This one was more money and I thought it would be better. Nope
April 13, 2016
looking for a replacement to one of these Bluetooth to aux things I have seen in the past. This one was more money and I thought it would be better. Nope, the power sounds and stuff is some women talking which is really annoying and when you plug in power it resets the unit so you have to press the on button.
Too sensitive when connecting something else to charge, stopped using it altogether.
March 14, 2016
Easy to setup, but if you connect anything else, this will power off, which is frustrating. I usually would have my music going, but than realize i need to plugin my phone, and each time I would plug it in the unit would power off. I thought that it was maybe a defective unit so requested a replacement. Same thing happened. Ultimately I stopped using it at all, and I have my phone wired directly into my stereo.
Might as well just get a 10 foot cord...
December 4, 2015
This thing is horrible. You'd seriously be better off getting a really long auxiliary cord. This thing will make your music jump, skip, lag and pause randomly. I'm not sure if I just got a bad one or what. But mine is ineffective from more than 10-15 feet away. And it definitely will not play clearly if you're holding your phone and turn your back to the device. I suppose this is truly an example of "you get what you pay for"...
Just Like My Other Receiver Made by Mpow, Except Crap
November 11, 2015
It doesn't automatically connect to my phone most of the time. I have to manually connect it before I start up Pandora. It'll connect on its own maybe once every 10 or 20 times that I turn it on, but it's a big inconvenience. To make it even worse, I just realized that when I plug it in to charge it, it makes an incredibly annoying high pitch sound. I had to unplug it for my sanity. I have another one just like this except it's a different brand and it works wonderfully. I'll most likely purchase the other brand that I have and then throw this one in the garbage when it arrives. I like having two so that I can do a quick swap when the battery dies. However, it's not a very quick swap when you have to manually connect it to your phone.
... IT IT NEVER TURNED BACK ON IT WORKED JUST FINE AT
November 1, 2015
THE SECOND TIME I TRIED TO USE IT IT NEVER TURNED BACK ON IT WORKED JUST FINE AT FIRST
No transmitter mode, reviews appear to be phony.
September 13, 2015
Won't pair with headphones in transmitter mode. Can't tell if it's in transmitter mode, either, for that matter. Instructions may or may not be correct. Receive/transmit switch to T? Where is that switch? Doesn't exist on the device, nor in the "manual" does it show where this mythical button is.Oh, do you notice how many 5 star reviews are the same, or similar? Don't believe them, they're probably fake.
