So far this Pyle receiver is more then I expected, it has lots of power and that's what I was looking for and a nice clean deep bass it gives my cheap 2 12inch klh subs, i didn't know they could sound that good.. definitely would buy again..
Loud system for your small budget!
March 28, 2016
First of all, I have to say, for the price, this reciever is nice. Pyle usually does good with making good products at a lower price. For those of you out there that want something that sounds extremely nice and will put down high volume at Max power this isnt the one. But if you need a good sound system that will pack a punch at a rockstar's wedding, for instance, and needs to be loud enough for them, it works really well. The sound is crisp, the bass is smooth, and it's great even at half volume. It works great in your living room as well as an all in one music player or for a home theater setup. It's not going to deliver 7.1 quality surround sound, but it's not designed for that. It's a really awesome stereo for someone that is looking for loud without the debt in your pocket. You could easily have a house party with this thing. I've taken 2 subwoofers and 2 Sony tower speakers and hooked those up to it and it is kicking nicely.

Going on two years and I still love this receiver!
August 29, 2015
I just realized I have had this receiver for over a 2 years and it still works like brand new. I paired this up with my cerwin vega and it sounds amazing. These amplify and create bass. It provide a very rich clear sound. I seen there are multiple negative reviews and I am assuming the receiver must be paired with very cheap speakers or not hooked up correctly. We use this as are main source when were listening to music or having parties. I get compliments all the time and this Pyle was really cheap compared to the other receivers I looked at. There is a little hum however I can't ever hear it once the music is up and rocking. That is the only negative I can really find for this receiver. I love the look and display it easily pairs with my Iphone.
Works fine lots of power
June 22, 2014
I bought this because I needed more power for my Polk outdoor speakers and TIC outdoor woofer so I could drown out noise from my neighbors. This works just fine for this setup. Lots of power. I hitched up my Itouch thru a converter cable, and it works just fine, and the ITouch also gets charged as it plays.Tuner is not that sensitive. But for $140, works just fine with lots of power.Caveat: I am not a stereo buff and not attuned all the aspects of equipment, but for me this works fine with lots of power. Actually thinking of adding two more Polks for my neighbors' listening pleasure.
Worth the price
July 16, 2013
I bought this refurbished for a few bucks less then normal price but it all seems to work like new.I ended up putting this in an outdoor rack system I built, the ears on this seem a little bit larger then standard, not a whole bunch but just enough to make it interesting. The ipod charger is good, but if you're going to put an iphone with a case in their it takes a little finagling, as it will be a snug fit, but hey that's probably not a bad thing right? The DVD (RCA) inputs work well and the bluetooth is pretty good but it does seem to have a little hiss at low levels as others have noticed. I'm suing this outside so I'm not really listening at low levels that often. The radio portion is ok but I'm having trouble manually dialing in specific frequencies, that i can get on other radio's around the house and there seems to be a little issue with how it handles the level's of the different inputs. (the mp3 and bluetooth are lower then the rca and the radio) All in all this is a pretty sweet little receiver for the money, it drives all 4 of my speakers (plus an inline subwoofer) without any issues. I think it is absolutely perfect for outdoor use.

Cracked remote and no way to contact the manufacturer. Not too happy about this.
April 24, 2016
Although I love this stereo - when it arrived the remote control was cracked and didn't work. Of course there is a flyer inside that says don't contact the seller (Amazon) so I tried to look for the manufacturer. No luck there. So I am stuck with a useless remote. Will think twice before buying this again.

Has lots of power, You need to understand the diagram so you can connect everything you want to it.
The sound is very good. The power it delivers is excellent
February 27, 2016
I connected this receiver yesterday. The sound is very good. The power it delivers is excellent. I connected two subwoofers that I have in a box and they sound amazing. I am planning to also connect two cabinet speakers I have stored in my garage and can't wait to see how they sound since. My I-pod worked great. The only negative with this receiver is the fan noise or occasional noise it makes. It does not bother me since I have the system hooked up in my garage, but others may not like. I would definitely recommend this receiver. A lot of bang for your buck.
Pyle P2002ABTI 2000 Watts Hybrid Receiver worth the low price
August 27, 2015
I recently bought this just to see if my JBL ceiling speakers would sound better. They do. I have 14 ceiling speakers and two outdoor speakers hooked up to this with a multi speaker switch. With more power, the speakers can be pushed more and therefore the speakers are louder and sound much clearer. Bass is pushed some but still needs a bit better tuning. The JBL's are very good when run directly with a high powered receiver, but with my set up, it is not possible. It is in a closet, so the extremely loud cooling fan noise is not heard while playing. If you had to have this in the same room as your speakers, I probably would return it just on the fan noise alone. With that said, for my set up, it is well worth the money. I will let you know if anything changes within the next few months.
Works Great in our Tailgate Bus
April 24, 2014
We purchased this unit to provide audio during our Eagles tailgates . It's running 4 Yamaha NS-AW350B that are mounted on the bottom of the bus. This unit definitely puts out some power. Not quite 2000 watts but perfect for when you want that party atmosphere. With the sound level at 16 it will quickly overload the 400w inverter that we use for temporary power. There is an internal fan to keep the components cool that can be a little noisy at low audio levels. The unit was packed well and can't be beat at this price point.
For the price this can't be beat

I don't often take the time out to write reviews, but I really felt like I needed to with this product. If you are on the fence about buying this, hopefully this will help you decide. First off, I was looking for a reciever with an iPod dock that wasnt too expensive because it is stored outside, in the pool area. I figured if it wasn't too expensive, I wouldnt care all that much if it got damaged by the water. i really figured for the price, I was gonna get a low grade, crappy sounding system. I couldnt be more wrong. Here is my thoughts:the system is LOUD.. AND CLEAR. My wife (who is not at all into audio stuff) commented on how good it sounded out there. Now I will say Pyle boasts that it is 2000 Watts.. that must be Peak and probably never hits it because its not 2000 Watts loud, but it is loud enough. I could have it over all the noise outside with no issues at all. I heard it at my neighbor's house which is quite a distance away from my house. I purchased 4 speakers for the system, 2 yamaha outdoor speakers and 2 speakers that look like rocks (to blend in the surroundings of the pool). The bass is unbelievable! I know the speakers have a lot to do with this too, but without a good reciever, you coudlnt get bass like that. It has an input for a seperate sub (with its own level control) which I will eventually get but is honestly not needed. The controls for the iPod work great, and I love that I dont have to take it out of the case to fit it in the dock. It has a weird holder that puts pressure on it to keep it in place that took some getting used to, but now that I figured it out, I love. Its easy to dock and it stays firmly in place.Overall I say this is well worth the price. I am a VERY picky person and this really has no major drawbacks that I can see so far. I have only had it for a few weeks so far so I havent used it all that much. If I find any flaws, I will be sure to update this review.

Not the best quality, but for the prices it's not bad
September 11, 2017
It works! Not the best quality, but for the prices it's not bad. When you turn it on it has a buzzing noise for a little bit, but once you turn on a movie it fades out.
Not That Great.....But Not The Worse
June 26, 2017
It's not the best but it's not the worse either....so my opinion is that it's sounds ok....I don't really hear the bass as much as I thought I would....but it doesn't matter to me because i jus needed something and it turns out ok.....it's loud tho....it's haven't turn it up but once and it got all out of wacky at the last volume notch....still is a good amp tho

high power just dated tech
it's a very good solution for my outdoor speaker use
October 5, 2015
Bought this mainly for the bluetooth function… which barely functioned, even with my iPhone right next to it. There was a lot of interference and the sound quality was thin and unusable. That said, by plugging it in directly, it's a very good solution for my outdoor speaker use. But be warned, if you're buying it for bluetooth, find something else.

A Powerful Receiver with two major flaws
June 2, 2013
I always think twice when I see a stereo receiver that claims to have a lot of power available since that doesn't always equate to "clean power." I was surprised when I got the Pyle receiver because I was HEAVEY which usually indicates that there is some real electronics installed. I use this to power speakers and a powered sub in my shop and I like to be able to hear in over all the noise. I am not disappointed. BUT, there are two, in my humble opinion, two significant flaws in the operation of the device, but first I must explain my use of it. I live in a rural area, about 30 miles from the nearest radio station and 60 miles from a major radio market. The flaw that I have in this device is that I cannot tune the stations with a tuner knob I have to use the built in auto tuner to find stations. Needless to say I get very few stations using the provided antenna wire, either the AM loop or the FM wire. I ordered an outdoor FM antenna to use with the unit but need a 300ohm balum in order to make it work since the Pyle does not have a cable connection on the rear. The other issue is that the built in iPod charger player will not allow me to turn the iPod on with the remote so I cannot use my iPod using the dock but I can use it by connecting it with a male/male mini-stereo plug which really works better anyway since you have better control of the iPod interface using the screen of the iPod. Nice try Pyle, but too mad it doesn't work. The Pyle also has a input for a microphone using a 1/4 " plug which could come in handy if you use the receiver as a PA amp, but most people won't need it. The Sub-woofer volume control really turns up the bass in your music. Be careful though when you use it you can do some serious damage to speakers that are not equipped with bass speakers that can handle the power.Except for the tuner knob I would give the Pyle Five Stars, but since I live in a rural area I really need a tuner knob. If you live in a city area, no problem. The iPod dock doesn't work for me but it is not an issue. In fact there are very few iPod docking devices that I have ever see that really work with someone's else's hand remote with the exception of Bose.

Wish I could get it to work...now I can't return it :(
February 11, 2016
I have been asking for years for a turntable to play my albums. So...right before my birthday last year, my husband bought this jointly with the Audio Technica AT-LP60 turntable. And even with my nagging, it took him 6 MONTHS to try hooking them up. Perhaps this is a case of 'operator error' but he has never been able to get them to work properly. It seems to be this receiver...but...you only have 30 days to return electronic items. So we are out $200 and I STILL can't play my albums. Two stars for looking good.
Not what I had hoped for!!!
September 5, 2015
I bought this for our patio audio system. It has plenty of power to run 8 outdoor speakers through a selector switch. Monoprice 109995 4-Channel Speaker SelectorNow the downside, it has a buzz through the speakers that I cannot figure out how to get rid of. Its not a constant buzz it just buzzes for a few seconds then stops on and off. Im not the only one who hears it but not everyone can. This product may say it has bluetooth but I assure you all that it doesn't work worth a damn. The metal antenna on the back is the bluetooth antenna. The sound is barely audible through the bluetooth, it is very distorted and scratchy sounding.Lastly, the volume goes up and down in two numbered increments, 2 to 4 to 6, you get the point. Well this may not sound like such a problem but if your trying to have a conversation with people with the music load enough to hear but low enough to talk over your out of luck. I had to turn the volume down on my iPod to adjust the volume. Not a huge deal but still one more thing to dislike.
It's worse than living next to train tracks as you just ...
August 7, 2015
This receiver is just really obnoxious. I've owned Onkyos and Pioneers and thought I would give this a try for a home office and its sound is just obnoxious. It has a high-pitched mechanical sound that recurs every 2 minutes for about 4 seconds solid. Other reviewers noted that -- I should have taken heed. It's worse than living next to train tracks as you just don't get used to it. It you turn the volume down low, it starts to make other low mechanical rumblings -- at near zero dB, it makes a fast heartbeat sound. With the music decently loud, it sounds ok, (AC/DC sounds great on it), but this product is utterly obnoxious otherwise. Cheap Panasonic sets from Walmart have a cleaner sound. The manufacturer must not have done any shielding inside the amplifier at all as it also has a pretty consistent 60hz hum. If you like a remotely clean sound (not anywhere near audiophile-clean), DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!
I think mine was defective ...

Epic fail all around with this device. Very unhappy. First, the ipod doc is not universal. there is no way to use anything else but an iPod no newer iOS device. We got past that issue and decided to try Bluetooth - the thing is not transmitting a Bluetooth signal; we tried every device in the house and it couldn't pickup a signal within 6' from the antenna. The last flaw is the whine/hum that it emits when the volume is about 2db - this thing is loud so 2db was good listening volume to me. Whhhiinnnneee it went every few minutes. Technically, its huge so measure your space, it's bright would you want it in a dark room, and there is no way to scroll the tuner unless you use the remote. the prescan picked up all the wacky channels and those we wanted, we needed to find on the remote - hold button, and there didn't seem a way to change the order.
stopped turning on after 3 months
December 20, 2014
this unit really isn't bad at all. mine stopped working after 3 months and really pisses me off I have to pay for shipping to get it repaired. people argue about the noise of the fan... it's a 2000watt receiver. its going to be loud and get hot. the lights are bright... but you can turn them off. feed back was loud, but I have 3 tv's 2 computers 2 ps3 1 xbox a wii and mp3 players connected so feed back is expected. using good cords and connections also helps. One day the unit stopped turning on. I am sending it to pyle to get fixed. and again pissed I have to pay for shipping. BUT... overall besides the fact it randomly stopped working this unit was awesome! I have DJ speakers with surround sound for gaming and music, never had to turn it up past 14. great sound. FYI you cant hear the fan when you use the unit like it was meant to be used. If you want to play classical music go buy a 200watt system. I will change my rating now based on the experience I have getting it fixed.
fan too loud and there exists a high-pitched whine
January 30, 2013
I really wanted to like this preamp. It did a great job powering my Sony SS-F6000 speakers. There is a button on the front panel to turn off all those obnoxious blue lights on the panel (too bad we can't turn off the equalizer graphic---looks like 1980 chic). The Bluetooth worked great with my iPhone, but didn't seem to work with my Android Galaxy S3. The built in iPhone/iPod port on the top is difficult to seat your device properly and doesn't provide charging to the device. But I returned this unit, and here's why: there are two sources of noise when using this that ruin the experience and functionality. The first is the cooling fan. Sounds as bad as a cheap PC fan. And it is real noticeable during moderately soft music. That is a darn shame and completely avoidable --- c'mon Pyle! The second annoying noise came whenever I used the MP3/audio inputs (on the front panel and on the rear RCA connector). There was a high-pitched squeal like radio interference when my phone was plugged into those ports. Again, quite noticeable and detracting from the music at moderate volume.Look, I'll pay a bit more if you have to raise the price to put a better cooling solution in and more shielding to block interference for portable players that are obviously going to have many different antennas/transmitters (WiFi/3G/LTE/BT/...)..

It sounded horrible i redid my wiring 3 times and had a close friend that is a tech nerd who said its something in the reciever it makes a loud squealing or popping sounds but is unhearable above 4 decibels and technically wouldnt hurt your speakers but still very dissapointing on the bright side the bluetooth works nice it has a nice led display and a very clean look the power met my expectations and has pushed my speaker set with 16" subs to the point of shaking the walls without the popping hurting the speakers or the sound quality whatsoever so ill keep it till i get another nicer one
Very disappointing and after 8 months tuner works for 5 minutes and then get static and can only use iPod not happy
September 22, 2016
Couldn't believe I replace a reliable Sony recieved with this Pyle reciever thinking it had iPod but after using it for my outdoor speaker on my lanai and in my garage which sounded great when I first got them, I don't even use it often, after 8 months one day I used the fm tuner and all of a sudden I got static. I thought it was maybe because of the weather with the thunder and lighting, so I shut it off for awhile, turned it back on 3 hours later and it worked again for about 15 minutes and then static again.. Not sure what's wrong but for 130.00 I should have just stuck with my reliable Sony reciever. What a waste...
Terrible customer service/ Product
August 17, 2015
The device looks nice. It looks like it would be a quality product. Most of the features work except the radio. I've tried multiple fm antennas with no success. I've tried contacting the company multiple times and still have had no responseto this day. With how much i spent on this product, i feel like ishould get some kind of response and or help. I don't like leaving bad reviews but i feel like I've been given no choice. I'm looking into reporting this company to the BBO.
May 18, 2015
So I just received this product and apparently I was a lucky one and got a defective one. I moved into a house with built in surround sound and didn't know if the mounted speakers worked or not so I had a friend help out and test them. We used a portable speaker system I had sitting in the garage and sure enough they worked and sounded great. So I ordered this receiver based on the reviews. Same friend came over to help me. Took it out of the box and plugged it into the wall. Immediately we heard a "click , click , click" sound coming from it. Very odd. I plugged my Ipod in as a music source and proceeded with hooking up the speakers. We got one to work (out of 4), but once we would try and hook up a 2nd, the receiver would start clicking as if it was being over loaded . That was all we could surmise since it would never power more than one speaker at a time and even then it wasn't a solid connection. Very disappointed as it is such a PITA to have to ship this thing back. I've had bad luck with Amazon lately, so pretty frustrated.
Exactly what the name says it is!
November 22, 2013
This stereo worked good for about 5 months then it started making LOUD squealing noises through the speakers. Tried to return it to "What A Deals" the store I purchased it from via Amazon but they would not take it back. Returned it to the Pyle service center in Brooklyn and they sent it back to me with a note saying the "technician" could not find anything wrong with it. This is after I told them I tested the unit with more than one set of speakers and it made noise on both sets! I returned the unit a second time and the "head" of the service center promised to sen a replacement unit. A few days later we receive our original unit back only this time it's in worse shape, it's got a huge dent in it. We called the Pyle service center and they told us the "idiots" in the repair department sent that one by mistake and they were supposed to send out a replacement. 3 weeks later we still have not received a new unit. If you buy ANYTHIING with the name PYLE on it you are indeed receiving a HUGE PYLE!!!!!!!
