The cable came with some plugs on the ends to protect the pins, which I really appreciated. In fact if I every have to store the cable those plugs will really come in handy. I recently built my own computer and this is the cable I used to connect my ViewSonic screen to a Sapphire graphics card on an Asus motherboard. Basically, you don't have to have a Dell to use this cable, since DVI cables are universal. So don't pay more for a cable made by your brand, cheap and convenient will do you just fine. | | | | |

| Took a bit to make it fit, but it does work fineApril 22, 2017 I wanted to connect my Thinkpad T61 dock to my monitor, preferably via a digital signal. This very generic DVI cable did the trick. It seemed to fit in the monitor just fine, but the tight DVI port on my dock didn't willingly accept it. I had to put it in at a slight angle and the straighten in, which implies the pins aren't perfectly alligned. And I don't know if that's an issue with the dock or the cable. Given the quality of the dock, I'd expect the cable, but I really don't know or sure.Regardless, the cable works well enough now that it is connected, no other issues! This cable type was recommended for use with the new monitor I purchased and, since my PC has the White DVI connector, I bought the cable. We've actually bought better - and cheaper - at Microcenter, however, we could not take the drive down to Dallas and needed it quickly (seems they are always working on the highway).No issues with the seller however, the cable does what its designed to do and yes, it does it well, but you can tell its built cheaply. If you are looking for a plain, basic, quick fix, this may suit you. OR, perhaps head over to your local Goodwill and you will almost certainly find a cable there for $2 or less. | Three StarsMay 12, 2017 Good product TL;DR: Dirty, mismatched, but functional.February 29, 2016 They are DVI cables and they (mostly) work for what I need. I had expected a set of 5 clean, brand new, identical cables to use with a new KVM. These certainly do not look "new." They are exactly what I would expect to get from my IT department if I asked for 5 DVI cables. That is, the first 5 mismatched, dirty cables lying on a pile of random DVI cables where you stack new cables, old cables, and filthy cables you found on the floor. I certainly would have liked new, clean cables, but they seem to work, so they get 3 stars. One side note: I may be overly harsh as it took an extra two days and unpacking of all the cables I'd run to discover one of these non-matching cables was juuuuuuuust too big to completely seat in the back of the KVM.TL;DR: Dirty, mismatched, but functional. It works not much more to it than that. decent dvi cableAugust 30, 2014 Cable is kinda cheap but def does the job...the little plastic screws are kinda hard to turn unless you use a driver. Not sure If it was my computer or not but I had a time getting my monitor to select the input this was plugged into....again this could have been a monitor issue because it fully works now. Cheap Dell DVI cableApril 4, 2013 Packaged as a Dell DVI cable. This cable is cheap, but does the job. Resolution comes through just fine in 1080. I have no issues with this cable. I ordered it to supplement a monitor I purchased that only came with a RGB/VGI cable. Slightly thin, definitely not shielded, but not necessary for such a short length. I would question whether the cable is actually 6'. I'm 6' tall and held the cable up. I would guess it is closer to 5.5', but I didn't actually measure it to make sure. I'm not sure what happened here as many others seem to have had a great experience, so maybe I got a dud. Not useful with most monitors!January 26, 2015 Although the product is clearly marked as having "DVI-I Male" connectors, I didn't realize that the connectors will not mate with ordinary DVI female connectors. The vendor should add a clearly written note to that effect.Most DVI Female connectors are DVI-D. These cables are useless for me, as all of the monitors I have only handle DVI-D male cable connectors. It took some wiggling to get most of the artifacts to go away, but there are still probably 50 or so pixels that are discolored spread around the screen. I think a higher quality cable would not have this problem. I'm running 1920x1200 resolution.This is the first dvi cable I've purchased, but next time I won't buy the cheapest I see.
