Awesome sweep an pull bar instead of rope.
September 16, 2017
I got it Wednesday and the projected delivery was the Monday after that and we had just had hurricane so I was real happy with that. it took about 1 1/2 hours to put together. If you follow the directions you put the basket together 2 times. if you find the short poles with the bolts on them and remove the bolts you can insert them into the loops on the forward edge of the basket/bag and put the bolts back in.it did a great job of cleaning up the yard. if you have a mulching kit on your mower you can cut and sweep at the same time. I don't so I made a few extra passes after I was done without the lawnmower blade cutting. this will pay for itself in one season and it has a 3 year warranty.well done.the knob half way done the pull bar did fall of quickly, good idea to put a lock washer on that.
Awesome Product. Concerned about spending $300 at first, now that I have used it, it was well worth the money.
September 8, 2017
This product worked great! I read a lot of other reviews and experienced none of the issues that others have mentioned.Shipping: Some reviewers gave low marks for damage on arrival, but in my opinion that is not a product review. That really depends on who is handling your shipment. Mine arrived in great shape and I had it built within 45 mins. I have never had issues with Amazon and with a 3 year warranty (which by the way is plenty considering it would cost more than $300 over three years to have someone else do the work of this attachment), any damage should without question be covered by the manufacturer. Headache to return and resolve yes, but nothing is perfect, even for $300.Assembly: This is the second Agri-Fab product I have built. I am not a fan of the picture only instructions as it is a bit difficult to clearly see the orientation of the parts, but this in no way was a big headache. In fact, I love that this product assembled entirely with clevis pins as it makes it easy to correct a mistake and easy to disassemble for compact storage. If your somewhat mechanically inclined and have built things around your house like furniture, kids toys, etc., this should be no problem. I had it together in less than 45 mins.Use: The adjustable tow pin is great and made it very easy to hook up to my mower without worry about my zero turn not having the correct tow height. It tows easily until it gets full, at which point my zero turn had some difficulty with traction. In hind site, I probably should have purchased the smaller version, because I didn't realize just how much grass this unit would hold (used it to cleanup the thatch on 3/4 acre after using the Agri-Fab 45-0295 48-Inch Tine Tow Dethatcher). It was very heavy and full and seemed to have no issue holding itself up under the weight. Probably better to use this with a garden tractor, but I use what I have. I think this will do quite well to help me sweep up large piles of mulched leaves in the fall that tend to clog and kill my grass. Some reviewers noted that the bag it self started to wear out very quickly. It seems like Agri-Fab listened to the customers and upgraded the product. The bag now includes a flexible plastic bottom that wraps up about 3-4 inches on the frame, so I don't see any worry about the bag chaffing and ripping. Also, as long as the tow pin is set to the right height, there should be no issue with the unit bag dragging on the ground. Looks like the orange colored units are the new models, so I would stick with those to make sure you have all the latest features and engineering upgrades.Overall: I am not very good at remembering to take pictures, but when my job was all said and done, I had 7 HUGE piles of grass and a nicely scraped and swept lawn for overseeding. Very please with this product (and the dethatcher), amazed at how well it worked and how well it was built.

August 17, 2017
Delivered much quicker than the original date given, the only thing I didn't like about delivery was it was in its own standard store box... which sat on my front steps all day until I got home. I would've preferred it in an unmarked box. Other than that, the unit itself has been great so far! Easy enough to put together & didn't have any issues with rips or scratches. It's a great size for our acre of land and is very simple to use. Picking up the leaves this fall will be so much easier with this! So far we've only used it to pick up grass clippings (which isn't really necessary, but we were that excited to try it out!). Overall, I would recommend and buy again.
One of the best purchases I made!
September 3, 2016
I read all the reviews on this product before purchasing and here's what I recommend:Order from Midwest Products - The cheaper prices listed for this lawn sweeper had extended shipping dates and when I want something, I want it now. I bought this Monday evening and UPS was at my house on Wednesday at noon and I did not pay for express shipping.Assembly - I only drank 1 beer while the 14 year old put it together.Operation - We put the wheels on level 3 for our yard and my 2 ac's looks like a golf course now vice a hay bailing operation in progress. You just need to play with the height adjustment and speed to get your desired results.Quality - this a big unit and the wheels are over sized from what you might think from the photo's. It's a heavy duty sturdy piece of equipment and very well built. My neighbors who have gone through a couple of lawn sweepers had the same reaction as if I bought a bigger boat than them. A lot of Ooohh's and Aaaahhh's.Storage - the hitch can fold next to the unit and the bag can be taken off so you'll only need 1/2 of the space to store it.Bonus - my wife took over mowing and using the sweeper. She would only let me sit on the back porch, drink beer, and watch her mow while the football games were on. I slightly teared up during this evolution.
so glad I bought it
September 1, 2016
It works great! I am 75 and was not looking forward to raking the old fashioned way for another 10-15 years. As for assembling, it is not like putting your kid's bike together without looking at the directions. It helps to read! Actually, it helps to look at pictures. Took a couple of hours, but it all came together and worked the first time I attached it to the mower. No problem sweeping up grass clippings, leaves and even pecans. Only wish the directions explained what is meant by transport mode. Oh, it takes quite a bit of strength to empty a full load while seated on the mower. So glad the pull handle is metal and not rope as some other brands have. Still haven't learned how to back up in a straight line; fortunately we have enough dumping space to pull through.
What the heck I tried it our and it is perfect for what I want it for
September 1, 2016
I was looking for a lawn rake and didn't, apparently, read the description of this item well enough. I was surprised to get a lawn SWEEPER. What the heck I tried it our and it is perfect for what I want it for! Picks up y rows of mowed grass usually in one sweep. I have a pretty steep hill and picks up going down just fine.l We have over two acres and I am sure this will do the trick.Thanks.

Very happy with this Dethatcher. Once you get it built and dialed in to your application it works great. Exactly as advertised. I run it over my two acres of grass and it helps a ton. Five stars !!
Great accessory .

Well built, works as is however add a little weight and WOW. Emptied my triple bagger once when I mowed, three times when I thatched. It's also a great lawn rake for up to 1in fallen branches.

Good product, good value
November 13, 2017
This is a pretty good machine. Assembles quite easily, it all pins together so is also easy to disassemble for storage (I wouldn't want to do it every time I used it though - but for winter storage it's great). Sweeps grass clippings, leaves and pine needles very effectively, is easier than using a leaf blower and you get to dump the leaves on your compost heap. Won't get into tight corners, so you still need a leaf blower (or good old fashioned rake) for those. It's important to adjust the sweeper height properly - too low and the machine stalls and drags, too high and you don't get the leaves. Also, I live in an area with clay soil, I find this tends to tear up the grass in the wet, so I use it in dry conditions only. With better soil this might not be a problem. Not so good at sweeping my paved driveway, even if I play around with the sweeper height, though it does get some leaves up. I still find this serves well for transporting large volumes of leaves to the compost heap when I've swept them by hand. Tips easily to empty, without leaving your tractor seat unless you get it too full. Build quality is pretty good, decent gauge steel sheet for the main body, with decent sized pins and retaining clips. Sweeper height adjustment is not hard, you have to pull out a pin, tilt, put the pin back in, it's a tiny bit fiddly. Be nice if I could do this somehow from my tractor seat, so I can stop sweeping or move from grass to tarmac. Good buy for the price.
and I've found it to be a great yard tool
November 5, 2017
I've used this 4 times so far, and I've found it to be a great yard tool. It does everything for me that the other reviewers have claimed that it does. I would love to be able to disengage the sweeper (vs. raising the height to the highest level) without getting off of the tractor so that it will not try to sweep up things that I don't want to sweep up as I'm towing a full load to be dumped in the woods.
GOOD PRODUCT TO HAVE
September 22, 2017
I ordered this with doubts in my mind since I had not so good experience with SEARS CRAFTSMAN lawn sweeper. I read many reviews before I decided to order this one. Long story short, this one is worth to have if you have large yard.I've used it twice and the performance is satisfactory so far.It picks up everything very well, but make sure to adjust the height correctly. ( Thanks to other reviewers on this adjustment. Adjustment was the key for the performance. )Only reason I gave 4 stars is, even One Hand Dumping feature is cool, the metal piece is too thin & weak to hold the weight, so now mine is badly bent as I was pulling to dump it out. Also, 2 metal support pieces inside of the hopper are also easily bent as I was trying to lift the hopper from the bottom to dump it ( remember I could not pull it with " one hand dumping feature" because of the weight )I will see if I can get replacement parts, so I can replace the 'BENT' parts & I will update how this brand handles warranty / customer service.
Fine product – not for my needs
August 17, 2017
It’s a bit hard to review this, as now that I have used it – it is not the machine for my needs.I’m sure if you are sweeping up leaves, or lawn grass on a level backyard, it should work great. It seems well constructed (although I did have to drill my own holes to make the bag fit) but all-in-all seems like a pretty good piece of equipment for the right application. It simply does not work well for what I need it for: I have several acres of uneven terrain that I have to brush hog several times throughout the summer. The grass and weeds can get chest-high so, once cut to the ground, I have huge piles of dense grass (6-8 inches deep) that I need removed. Granted, I waited a good week or more for the grass to dry up, but my whole project was just too big for this sweeper. So, if you’re like me and have deep grass, uneven terrain and lots of it; you’ll need something more industrial than this guy. I’m giving it 4 stars, as it’s not the manufacturer’s fault that it doesn’t work for me.
More than satisfied
May 9, 2016
Sweeper was delivered a little damaged. I pretty much expected a little damage with a heavy bulky item being shipped UPS. Damage was not anything I couldn't live with. Straightened out dents and bends and started to assemble. The assembly went smooth. Illustrations were very good and all hardware was intact. I had a bad moss problem over a 17,000 square foot yard and used a Agri-Fab Dethatcher to rake up which it did very nicely. I then used the sweeper to pick up the now loose moss which it did pretty good. Saved from a ton of raking and Advil for my back. Nice to be able to dump from the seat. Sweeper holds a lot before needing to dump. One drawback I found is that the front of the sweeper is a couple of inches off the ground and ground clearance when going to dump in the woods becomes an issue. If they could design the sweeper to elevate when going to dump it would have been a 6 star review. I can't blame Agri-Fab for the delivery issues. Also storing the sweeper isn't bad. I took off the containment part and stored the two pieces easily. Curious how it will perform this fall.
Please with performance - time will tell
May 6, 2016
Did a nice job - pine needles were not an issue - quality is better then the other lines I looked at for the price range - like most reviews you receive the request prior to a lot of use so time will tell - Agri-Fab customer service is five stars - upon assembly I noticed the stiching on the bag had missed the lower velcro seam - customer service immediately sent another bag - assembly was very easy - the unit allows for quick break down for storage.

Hard to beat the value when a walk behind model costs just a bit less to rent for the day. Somewhat hard to understand the assembly directions, watch the video first and you should have no problems.

I received the dethatcher within a couple days and it came slightly scratched (as advertised) but being scratched I saved approximately $50. I assembled it and all the pieces were there (2 extra lock nuts). I haven't used it yet due to winter in Michigan and if it works great I will gladly give it 5 stars.

August 14, 2016
This has worked extremely well! I hated having to put it together but after that nightmare it worked very well. I strapped a couple good sized blocks on the back of it and did both my neighbors and my yard without an issue. It does feel a little cheap and unsteady but so far has worked well.
Good but not fantastic, worth the money though
March 2, 2016
Shipped quickly. All parts were included. Quality of parts seems pretty good for the price. Instructions are horrible, most kids could draw better. And i know my way around a wrench. Assembly took an hour cause of the instructions. No written instructions, just a picture sheet.Having to bend tabs to lock the tines into place seems cheesy but they seem to hold in lace pretty well. Comes with 2 thin metal rods to weave through each line of tines and tie off on each end, that way if one falls off it wont be lost. The height lift system is the weak point. It is not sturdy feeling and only has one "L" bracket to hold it in place on the "axle", has room for another one on the opposite side and already has pre drilled slots. I looker over the part list and i was not missing that part.Overall for $120, it will get the job done and hold up for several years if stored inside. If your wanting to rely heavily on this i suggest you dont. Go ahead and build one for the same price and have it 3x as sturdy. Will update once i have used it a few times. 03/02/16UPDATE 03/03/16 - i have used it several times today and it performs really well, you need straps to hold the weight on (neither are included). It does end up getting clogged up after a few minutes but thats only when running over ground already thatched. Sometimes it gets a back and fourth hop to it which would be fixed if the wheels were wider and spread out more. The wheels do collect dirt and mud and seem to not help much. In the lifted position it still is not high enough o be practical. With weight on the thatcher it is hard to lower and lift it, mainly cause of the flimsy lift handle. I plan on upgrading it soon and adding larger wheels, and buying rubber bungy hooks to keep the blocks from moving. Will update further if problems appear.

March 23, 2015
For a hundred dollars, I think this is a good machine. With some weight on it (70lbs) it did a helluva job pulling up dead grass this week (first week of spring). After lawn sweeping the clumps ( I have 3 acres), I have some serious grass piles. Not bad. I will say one thing and that is how the tines attach to this machine. I'm giving four stars because I had tines come off about three times. Also, I have no idea how anyone without special tools is supposed to bend the tabs over the tines - I used a heavy mallet and a large punch to bend them over the tine. I feel a nut and bolt attachment would have been much better. Probably should have given three stars for this issue, but I think at 100 dollars, it's hard to get too picky. Not perfect but good and I would recommend it - just have someone handy with a little mechanical skill help you assemble it.

For the money it's not worth it. It's not to difficult to build like others say but after two uses I'm already missing pins that Iv had to replace with key rings. It's not gonna solve all your leaf problems but if you now over them first and chop them up it collects them better than whole as the bag fills up in no time. Too expensive for the quality but couldn't really find a alternative that wasn't the same. Not easy to unload as it's a complete Bitch to reverse. Had I tried it before I bought it I wouldn't have spent this amount of money on it
As others have written the instructions are poor. The bag attaches with velcro and snaps
September 11, 2017
As others have written the instructions are poor. The bag attaches with velcro and snaps. One snap won't stay shut and the bagger leaves a trail along one side. I'll have to come up with another method. The unloading arm is not long enough to work on my John Deere zero turn without getting off. That said the unit does sweep up a lot of grass quickly. If the sweeper brushes could be stopped it would be nice. My grass pile is about 200' from where I park my mower and the bag picks up more grass than I want to leave in the bag to prevent rot.
The most interesting purchase from Amazon, ever.
June 8, 2016
Seems like a good unit, though when it arrived it was missing one part and another part was bent/crushed on one end. Appeared the box had been resealed so I suspect this was someone's return. (When I called in to have the missing and broken parts replaced I was told I would have to accept an "entire" new unit. This seemed like a waste of time and money but was told that is the policy. When that replacement unit arrived it was a true experience. Damage beyond belief. Must admit that the damaged and missing parts I needed were in this box, however).Have only used it once since I got it assembled and it seems OK.
I was than satisfied with this sweeper
January 17, 2016
I was than satisfied with this sweeper. After reviewing some youtube videos, I thought it would be just the right thing for picking up the leaves in our yard. Not so. It has several adjustments for leaf pick up but in our yard it was either too high and only picking up 1/3 of the leaves or too low and dragging on the ground and not picking up at all. My yard is not golf course perfect so maybe that't the problem.
Assembly easy and well documented
May 25, 2015
Assembly easy and well documented. Slips out of level ALL the time and makes using it frustrating. Wheel bumped a 2 inch stump while backing up slowly and it snapped write off. Not sure why they make them out of plastic. I would not recommed due to issues I had. When it did work it worked well, but the slipping out of level ALL the time makes it not brush and gettting on/off mower on a regular bases is frustrating.
(updated after first season, and beginning of the second) I had three different brands in 4 years......
April 2, 2014
Update after the first season AND update at the beginning of the 2nd season, please find at the end.I had a piece from Ohio, that lost a wheel within the first 5 minutes of usage and went straight back to the big box store where I bought it. My neighbor had a Craftsman and was somewhat happy with it, so I went and bought the same. It was ok, it had a bunch of quirks but it was ok. After 3 season it gave out on me. My main problems was the hopper and all the nuts and bolts that needed continuous replacement. Why I mention this? This sweeper took all the problems I had with me old one and fixed it. Bolts are replaced with pins with safety pins, the hopper is huge.So here my first impressions which I will update over time.Let me start with the good:-looks and feels sturdy-the hopper is HUGE, easily 50% more then the craftsman I had.-the one hand emptying feature is great (be careful NOT to overload)++++++see update+++++-the settings for brush height are great and finally a sweeper that keeps the setting-the solution how to "un"-center the sweeper is a Masterpiece-Amazons delivery time. Ordered on Tuesday about 9pm, delivered on Wednesday at 1pmno one can beat that :-)-3 years warranty! Unheard off!the bad:-the bigger parts are just thrown into the box-the instructions are a freaking nightmare (please read my remarks )++++++++++++++++UPDATE+++++++++++++++-the upper rod broke, even while being careful. But as you can see, Agri Fab replaces them and are aware of this-the clover pins, I have NO idea how, but the come off.....and get lost....Remarks:The unholy booklet/instructionsBasically everything up to the hopper assembly......geeze people......do NOT follow the instructions on the pictures. Some of the structure must be threaded THROUGH the hopper bag. Means the side pieces. If ypu assemble everything as shown.you will be doing it again.Aside of that, assembly time was about 30 minutes, was pretty easy, NO tools needed! Just the hopper assy was a mess because I had to redo it because of the bad instructions.First run:I am impressed, the brushes pick up everything, small branches, bigger branches, leaves, empty cans and even a beer bottle :-) old and dry grass. the hopper is huge, don't overload or you will need to get off and empty the hopper by hand. For now, I would advise anyone that is in the market for a sweeper to go for this one, it is by far the best I tried.I will update this at the end of the season or if i face problems. If you have questions, need pictures or more insight, please feel free to ask. As with all of my buys ex Amazon I stand to my word and answer every question I can.#############################################################Update#############################################I am not that impressed anymore. The main rod on top of the hopper first bend then broke (this happened to a lot of people, if you read the other reviewers you will see that. Several of the pins that came with the sweeper went lost. I contacted Agri Fab, but so far I am ignored. I will try further to get them to reply and send me the missing pieces and a replacement for the bend and broken parts, but I am not impressed anymore.I will keep this review up to date and supply new if they happen.Update, 2nd season, beginningAfter I tried to contact Agri Fab in November and never received a call back, I honestly forgot.Last week, I pulled out the tool, and started a new try with Agri Fab, and I got a reply. We are sorting things out.I will let you all know how that went once we are set.

Assembly instructions are useless. Good quality but assembly is really too much trouble.
August 30, 2017
Started to put this together. Did not get far because the instructions are useless. Illustration appears to be for a different design. I reached out to the company for help. After I spent a day exchanging emails with customer service, they sent me a video that was helpful. Still took me over 2 hours to assemble. Build quality is actually pretty good but the assembly is far harder than it should be. Updated: after I watched the video many times, I finally figured out the assembly. Instructions tell you to attach tines with a screwdriver. Will never work. Requires a good hammer and great care not to smash your fingers. I have assembed a great many devices. I think that this was the worst. After all the assembly nonsense, I used this thing. It works great. Very good tool, if you can eventually figure out the nightmare assembly.
Good. Not great. Design flaw.
September 3, 2016
Srpings are held in by metal tabs that are cut into the main panel and need to be bent over the springs with a screw driver according to instructions. At first I used a heavy flat head craftsman screwdriver and nearly snapped the tip off. I had to hammer the tabs down then use a screwdriver to finish the job. I havent used yet but if other reviews about replacing springs now and then are true, eventually the tabs hold them in will snap off after being bent and pulled up over and over. Not a great design for longevity.

March 20, 2015
Combination of my mistake and theirs. Seems to be a nice product, but unfortunately for the first time in all the years I have put things together (no I will not give my age away, but trust me it's old) the product came missing three integral bolts. Maybe I just got lucky all those times before, but because of the history it just didn't occur to me to check first. Once I got to the point where I needed them, I made the mistake of continuing without putting them in. Good news is when I called they shipped them right out. The bad news is when I continued assembling I didn't notice that by attaching the 'prongs' I was covering up where the bolts needed to go. There is no way to remove the prongs without weakening the way they attach, so now I am stuck, do I ruin two of the prongs, or do I sell it for scrap. Combination of my mistake and theirs. Would have been more fun to just burn a hundred dollar bill in front of friends, it would have gotten a great reaction and I would have saved a lot of time. Moral of the story: Warning, be sure all the parts are there before you begin.
It's ok but flimsy
June 23, 2014
Product works ok I guess but it very flimsy due to the light weight / cheap metal it was built with. Might be ok if had a very small yard as well but I wouldn't recommend it.

Save you money does not funuction without make 4-5 passes.
October 13, 2017
I thought I researched this product carefully but since my purchased I used the item 4 times for leaf pickup and pines needles.Although Agri-Fab builds a good solid product this leaf sweeper doesn't pick up nearly what I expected. I tried differant speeds, changed the height of sweep fins to the wheels with less than desired results.Sweeping leaves is not science mostly labor and they could modify small design changes to produce a very funuctional piece of equipment.I did add weight to the fab which helped being able to make greater contact with the brushes and ground. If this isn't done the no treaded wheel just drag, damage the lawn and stops the sweeping action. Also the metal front could body should be higher for slightly uneven lawns. Better wheel tread would also help the sweeping funuction.Shipping was less than favorable too. Its easy to assemble but save your money use a good tractor lawn bagger. Guess Im stuck with selling this orange leaf sweeper on Craigslist to some other sucker but at my expense.

Poor Build Quality
November 18, 2016
As other people have said, the instructions are a little hard to understand and do not specify that some pieces have only one correct orientation. It's not a big deal, but it was a little frustrating to have to take things apart once a later step in the instructions showed that a piece had to be facing a certain direction. The biggest issue that the build quality is so poor. As you can see in the picture, some of the pre-fab holes don't line up so I couldn't even finish constructing. It was pretty frustrating to say the least.I've contacted customer service but have not heard back yet.I'm giving two stars, because it *seems* to have lots of features that I would have liked. Will update if customer service warrants adding or removing stars.

I did a lot of Internet research for the best law sweeper and the AgriFab was the top rated unit. Assembly was really easy. The reason for only two stars is the construction of the netting and the durability of the metal framework. I did have a good load of wet leaves in the bagged and when I dumped it, pulling on the handle, the tubing bent. Had to take apart and reinforce the robing. The netting, after one hour of use is already wearing through and tearing. I can't believe how flimsy the fabric is and this unit won't last a season, let alone the three year warranty. I wish they would have used a very durable fabric for the netting. Also, one of the snaps holding the bagging unit to the tubing is already broken and won't stay snapped. I would not buy this unit again. I think it would work well on a flat lawn, but not around the many trees and rolling uneven lawn that I have.

Such a tease!
October 6, 2015
My journey began 2 weeks ago when I ordered this item to use after aerating which I plan to do this week.I received it in a banged up box that had lots of tape. I knew this was a return, but I didn't care as long as it had all its parts. It only had about half of the parts needed. I returned and waited for replacement. My replacement was delivered today and already looked much better. It had proper stickers and only a little tape. I grabbed a bourbon and my razor blade and dug in. So many parts included it felt like Christmas. I got going on the first step. Done. On to the next step. Wait a minute. Where are the two long metal parts needed to assemble the tow hitch? Bamboozled again. I'm returning for a full refund since I don't have time to wait to find out if third time's the charm.I gave it 2 stars rather than 1 due to sturdiness of the parts that I did receive.
Delivered to my home missing numerous parts

My low review is based on the product showing up missing numerous parts. I had to call the manufacturer and have them sent to me.
Made for "Office Boys" and others who never worked with decent equipment
May 10, 2013
When I was a kid on the farm, my father used to mend things from time to time with hay-wire (which they used before the advent of baler twine). "Haywire" since became synonymous with something done fast and poorly. Well, this piece of junk actually uses haywire as an integral component, in particular to hold the tines together. I could not believe it. Firstly the tines are slipped into tabs and you are instructed to bend the tabs over with a hammer then string a length of wire through each of the 2 rows to hold them on. Why not proper steel clips? Embarrassingly poor engineering and Agri-Fab should be called Agri-Fable on this one. In use it does a mediocre job, better off dragging a bag of cats behind you.So like I say, all the Office Boys who get excited by a new toy will write superlatives all day long but as for people who actually work and need decent, proper tools and equipment...don't bother with this...FYI I paid less than $130.00

Missing parts and had to return.
October 31, 2017
The box arrived but we had two missing parts, so we returned it. It's late in the year and did not want the warranty to expire without trying the product out. We will reorder in the spring and see if we have any better luck. I really don't think the company reads reviews of their product; others have complained about this issue. As this is one of the more expensive lawn sweepers on the market, I was hoping for a better first impression.
Sweeper is good but platic gears and wheels are no good

This is second one.Plastic gear and plastic wheels broke again. We do not need another sweeper. We need some metal gears and wheels for the one we have.
No instruction/removal procedure was provided because like I say this unit came pre-assembled
September 12, 2017
Agri-Fab 45-0492 Lawn Sweeper, 44-Inch I can't at this point rate this product for how it operates. However, I purchased this sweeper, it was delivered on time etc. Once I got around to putting this together I noticed that the height adjustment bar where the pin is located was bent out so much that the pin would barely engaged into the hole when making height adjustments (have pics). Keep in mind that this entire bottom unit comes pre-assembled so there is no assembly required by the consumer. I e-mailed Agri-Fab, they asked for the part number that was bent so I sent them that. Ok we’ll be sending you a new height adjustment tube. I was totally against taking this unit completely apart to change out the height adjustment tube from the start especially with no directions! No instruction/removal procedure was provided because like I say this unit came pre-assembled, there is an expanded parts view to look at to identify parts but that’s not a install/remove procedure. I feel as though they should have replaced the unit rather than have me repair their error! So this past weekend I attempted to take it apart to replace the height adjustment tube. First issue I encounter is there are snap rings on it, I don’t own a snap ring removal tool so I went to the local Autozone store and bought one for 15.00. Then the dust covers are assembled with rivets of some sort!!! What is expected of the consumer at this point? Not a machine shop don’t have all these tools required to take this thing apart, now you know why it comes pre-assembled! So now I have a lawn sweeper that I cannot use. I paid for this unit plus now I have an extra $15.00 and 4 hours of aggravation into it! I e-mailed the company back Sunday and have heard nothing. At this point I want the unit replaced, at least the bottom piece that comes pre-assembled. No more replacement parts as I strongly feel I should not be the one fixing their error. How did this get by inspection in the first place. This unit has never been used and has been in my garage since it arrived. If I broke it during use that’s one thing but no doubt in my mind that this unit was assembled defective at the warehouse! At this point I need a solution, either make good on the unit or refund my money, this wasn’t cheap at $305.97…

I purchased the unit May 9, 2016 and I am looking for a replacement lawn sweeper. One that is more durable. Overall, the lawn sweeper works well for small lawns and small loads of grass. I mow about 3 acres and the product is just not durable enough for my use. The flimsy metal supports that hold up the bag in the rear of the sweeper keep coming apart. The flimsy metal conduits around the top and bottom of the bagger bend quite easily. There should be a warning not to put more than 10 to 20 pounds of grass in the bagger.Regarding assembly. You need to have a great deal of patience as it is not easy to assemble by any means. Hang in there. I know you can do it! I recommend just using the visual print material to do the assembly. I would not review the video provided. Not worth your time. The product may arrive dented due to the cheap packaging concept used by the manufacturer. But it still works.
P.O.S.

After two mowings, the one wheel was stripped of its nylon gears on metal, Agri-fab sent me a new wheel and told me to go slow and no sharp turns, basically telling me it was my fault. I did what they said and after two more uses Both wheels needed replaced. The warranty says two years , When I called Agri-fab They said the wheels were only warranted 6 months and now I have to buy them. These people make crap and try to blame it on you. Never again Agri-Fab. You Suck.
WHEEL INTERNAL GEAR FAILURE
August 21, 2015
I had the sweeper for three months and used it approximately nine times sweeping my < one acre lawn. Then it failed by stripping the plastic gears inside the wheels. After taking it apart and seeing the internal plastic gears, I'm amazed that Agri-Fab would think that this design is acceptable for a large capacity sweeper meant to be towed behind an ATV or lawn tractor. With the exception of this flaw, this is really an excellent sweeper, but until this design defect is corrected, I cannot recommend this sweeper.

This item was a nightmare to put together. After several hours we were finally able to get all the rake points attached however they continually fall off when using the tool.
After spending a great deal of time adjusting the depth of the tines
April 23, 2017
I thought I would give this a try. After spending a great deal of time adjusting the depth of the tines, I realized that there is not much adjusting at all. Regardless of the adjustments I made, I could not get the front rear tines to adjust to the same depth as the front. I also added patio blocks that fit great, however the unit still shook back and forth violently unless I was move slower than a snail with my mower. The construction is not real solid and would not reccomend unless you already have a perfectly flat and manicured lawn.
