Can't wait for Fall now!
November 19, 2016
It does EXACTLY what it says it does. One, maybe 2 passes on my lawn in the fall - empty the 2 baskets. No more! I did my whole lawn & only filled the bag 1/3. I took the 2 baskets off the back, & cinched the leaf bag on - simple! Crazy as this sounds, I can't wait for a lot more leaves, to see how well this works. I did make a "rug", to put under the bag (to protect it from wear & any stray branches on the lawn that would tearing it). I used an old tarp, that was pretty thick. Had to adjust the position of where it went. I don't think I'll use it too much in the summer for grass - it would get too heavy. My 2 basket works fine.
Great for fall cleanup!

This bag is a must have when living in New England (CT).. I have a massive maple tree in my front yard. I put the bag over the entire lid and string tight. Make sure you tie is VERY tight, as the bag gets heavy, about 30/40lbs I'd say, perhaps maybe even 50. I fill the bag and take it off and compact it, reattach and continue fillings. Perfect to toss into the bed of your truck/suv even car or empty in large barrels. I'll follow-up with pictures when use it again. The bag drags on the ground and if you pick up limbs etc bag will hold up well.

Update with pic, got the bag to about 70lbs today.. I have 0.4 Acres and what would take at least 6-7hrs took me about 3.5hrs, running to the dump between front and back.
this is a great buy!

Initially, I wasn't sure how to hook it up. The picture is a bit misleading, the bag does not connect directly to the side chute but goes entirely over the grass-bin cover. The chute exit is supported by the bin cover and the leaf bag has a wide opening to cover everything. A cord in the leaf cover permits you to get a tight fit around the bin cover and chute. Once I figured out how to securely attach the bag, I was ready to roll. The leaf pickup was smooth and the capacity of the bag was impressive. I only had to dump the bag twice compared to last year, when I had to empty the two rear grass bins at least 8 times to clear my yard of leaves. Dumping the leaves and re-connecting the bag was a snap. This attachment is both simple to use and saves a ton of work. If you have a ton of leaves and a lawn tractor, this is a great buy!
THE BEST thing I've bought on Amazon in a while...

This giant leaf bag really works! It bags leaves and lawn well and fit our John Deere L120 just fine. I cinched it around the entire bagger system. It doesn't tighten perfectly due to the bar that attaches the Bagger to the mower. I simply took a few cheap clamps to tighten the giant bag around my bagger bin this way it keeps the leaves (and air pressure) in. One thing I found was the weight of the leaves and grass in the bag quickly became heavy. The weight of the giant bag tied to my mower can strain the plastic bagger system (to which it is tied). To solve this issue I attached an old tarp to the trailer hitch of the mower so the tarp (and the hitch) take most of the weight. I then found the tarp saves my bag if I go across pavement however the tarp I added was getting ripped. So I attached some wood lathe strips under the tarp so the lightweight wood protects the tarp which protect the bag. See photos!
Maybe the best riding mower option...ever.

HUGE! Really works. Needs to be installed correctly on or under grass catcher hood to keep leaves from blowing out bag opening.

I have a Husqvarna RZ46215 46" ZTR mower with the optional grass catcher - nearly identical to the catchers on a number of other mowers and the same as the one in the instructional videos at: http://lawntractorleafbag.com/tractors-with-grass-catchers/. The mowing deck seems to use high lift blades as it produces a lot of air flow into the chute and to the bag system without the aid of a dedicated blower. All this air needs to filter out the bag pores but will happily exit via the bag opening if it isnt well sealed to the grass catcher system. This may be less of an issue if your mower deck does not produce a lot of air flow to the grass catcher, however that may lead to frequent clogging issues.

My mower has the typical ZTR "engine at the rear" so it is doubly important that the leaf catching system does not blow grass/leaves/dirt out the opening at the front of the bag, because the dust will clog the engine intake air filter and the leaves will accumulate on the cooling fan intake screen and that can cause the engine to overheat.

I initially tried the "over the hood" attachment method from the first video but could not get the bag to seal up well enough so the engine and I were quickly covered in leaves.

Next I tried the "under the hood" attachment as detailed in the second video. It was a huge improvement. It is important to observe and carefully follow each step in the instructional video for this to work well. At first I did everything except I cinched up the bag before closing the hood, leaving the bag opening at the rear of the hood under the rear of closed hood and over the middle dual grass catcher bag bar. Attaching it this way resulted in leaves blowing onto the top of the bag, which would then accumulate and fall off in clumps when turning, or blowing back onto the engine if running downwind in a breeze. Once I changed to putting the hood down before cinching the bag and then tightening it up with the bag going over the hood locking mechanism (as shown in video), very little in the way of leaves and debris escapes the bag.

Perfect for me
February 11, 2017
To start, this will not work for everyone. If you have a lightly powered to a medium powered mower, I wouldn't recommend this product. This is especially true if you have a hilly lawn. Although, it's cheap to try, it may work. The bag gets heavy. I have an 18hp John Deere with a Kawasaki motor and I didn't have a problem. I can't imagine anything less than 14hp being advisable. I would absolutely NOT use this with a rear engine mower as steering would be compromised.

Also, you need to expect some "rigging" to be involved. Bungee cords and clamps are what I used. I'm a big guy and can tell you the bag probably weighs north of 100 pounds when 3/4 full. It seems to do well with leaves only btw. It may get some pine straw and debris but you should not expect this.

I do think a heavy duty zipper on the end would be helpful to assist with emptying.

Having said all of this, I have never moved more leaves in less time with this little of effort. If you can rig it up right, have a strong mower, an ideal lawn with ideal leaves, this is perfect.

Item is as stated. Works very well and I'm pleased. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because it's a bit of a pain to unload the bag. the zipper is at one end and can get bunched up when trying to dump a full bag. The draw string actually works well. It will fall off if you get if full enough with wet leaves etc. It holds about 4-5 times the amount of the plastic bins that come with the bagger. For the price, you can't beat it!
Awesome Product!

My husband loves this leaf bag! He's been very pleased with the durability and how well it works. He's used it at least once a week for over 2 months now. We have an acre of land, with lots of trees. He normally fills the bag twice to get all the leaves up. The only improvements he has suggested are to add a zipper from bottom up to make it easier to release the leaves after pickup and to improve the fit of the drawstring on the bagger frame.
Great idea, great product, and actually works
November 20, 2016
I was super excited to purchase this product and equally excited when it showed up on my doorstep sadly when you are excited to do yard work it is a crazy day. I enthusiastically put this on my riding lawnmower and put my 8 year old girl in the driver seat and sent her on her way as I'd begun to rack out all the bushes to get the leaves in the middle of the grass so she could easily pick them up then she decided to put the lawn mower in reverse and backed over my brand-new Leaf bag I don't remember if I cried or not but for the purpose of this review no tears were shed. After receiving this product and seeing how well it worked for the 36 seconds that we used it. I got an old painter's tarp and used my new Leaf bag with two very large holes cut in it and made me a new Leaf bag. love the idea, love the usability! Very good product works great.

This is great if you can rig it up with some sort of support for your chute. The problem on my JD x324 is that I wasn't able to use my bagger rack to mount this bag. By just sinching it on the bagger chute and letting it drag, it becomes heavy very quickly, pulling down on the chute tube. I ended up rigging a piece of plywood under my seat, that extends out to the tube. This helps support the tube as the bag gets heavier.

Material is durable and breathable. Overall it has saved me time with my .5 acre lawn, and I have recommended it to others.

ok
It works well, although the drawstring-seam is dubious.
November 13, 2016
It worked well and as advertised, speeding up my leaf cleanup project yesterday tenfold. The bag withstands dragging without a problem, but the seam in which the drawstring is housed tore open upon my first tightening before I even used it. I suspect mine was defective, but it still worked for leaf cleanup. I'd recommend it with the understanding that mine was probably just defective.
Good quality product but didn't really work for me.
November 6, 2016
Good quality material and fit very easily over the bagger hood of my Husqvarna. I was disappointed with it after that, though. The bag filled unevenly and required very frequent adjustment to keep from clogging the exhaust chute. After some trial and error I was able to fill the bag without stopping the mower to clear clogs. But then I found that the full bag was too heavy and unwieldy to empty without excessive effort. I eventually abandoned this product and just went back to raking my leaves onto a cheap $6 tarp and hauling them that way.

It would be a lot easier to empty the bag if it was like a sleeping bag with a zipper so you can just unzip the whole thing to empty the bag it might be something to consider to.upgrading to a new bag style
Not the most durable. But my fault.
December 7, 2015
Third time I used it I cut the corner too close of my trailer and it caught and ripped. Not the most durable. Giving a 3 since it was my fault for getting too close. It is good and as described overall. Holds a lot more than the one I used before.

Will hold a lot of clipping and leaves, but any semi tight turns and it ends up under the back wheel. If you have a large area and can execute wide turns it would probably be ok.
Nice size but difficult to keep attached to lawn tractor
November 28, 2014
Nice size but difficult to keep attached to lawn tractor. As a result, we just use it to dump leaves captured by existing bins so we don't have to take as many trips back to much pile. It would be better if had zipper at end for easy emptying. I don't recommend. Probably better solutions out there.
Wouldn't buy again
August 3, 2014
Difficult to keep on the chute. I have a Cub Cadet with 8 in chute. As soon as the bag gets a little full, it disconnects from the chute. I wrap the cinching cord around several times but it still doesn't help. I would not buy again.

Not as advertised
December 11, 2016
Does a great job of holding leaves. Does not tie well to bagger housing or the mulching tube. Had to add bungie cords just to get it to stay in place and that doesn't work all the time. tears from dragging on the ground. Have only used it twice and it already has burn holes from the heat coming off of the exhaust. Basically an over sized, over priced pillow case with drawstrings.
Bad investment on my part
December 7, 2016
Bag material is not much more than a laundry bag grade cloth. Bag cough ta nub on a root and ripped the first time I used it. I placed a tarp below it to act as a slide along the ground. Next problem, lifting bag into trailer. Too heavy to lift. Went back to the tractor bags. Bad investment on my part! Don't waste your money,as a laundry bag is as strong.

First time I used it, the clamps that hold the bag onto the mower chute broke. I fixed them, then the bag became half full and went underneath the mower and tore the bag to shreds. Just not worth it
I love the bagging system in general
November 9, 2016
Had to return as the seam began ripping on the first use and the tie clasps seemed cheap. This product was not build to last. I love the bagging system in general, and it saves tons of time and effort. It was actually quicker than mowing the lawn in the summer. But the material seemed cheaper and the seams were not sewn well at all. I retuned this and bought a different company's bag. Although I only used that one once so far too, I can tell the material and seams are stronger. Plus, that other brand included a patch in case it ripped and came with instructions.
