Great for travel. No one would suspect that it's a money belt
May 10, 2017
Great way to store your extra cash. Great for vacation. It looks like a normal belt so no one will know it's a money belt. Most money belts have a quick connect. This one has a regular belt buckle. So, it would be hard for someone to steal it off of you.
Great travel accessory
October 19, 2015
This worked wonderfully for our latest travel. It was nice to know we had a little back up cash in case of emergency or the little mishaps that can happen away from home. Basic, but good quality. The zipper pocket is pretty thin, so you have to fold the money quite I few times to get it to fit.
YOU HAVE TO HAVE IT!
December 24, 2014
Arrived a few days after ordering which were the few days before Christmas, but better than that, I made a ridiculous mistake during my order (while I was still wrapped up in the "YESSS! I FOUND EM!" moment) which I caught 'after' I hit "place order." The dread of the impending pain of 'cancel, wait for it to go back on my card, reorder' harshed my "GREAT SCORE!" high. I sent my shamefully embarrassing email & what I didn't expect was customer service to fix my mistake, but they did without the added pain of 10 detailed reports...their reply to my 1st email was a summation of my error (That was cute! I totally deserved it! hehe), a note restating the correct way I meant to place my order, and a note that said my belts will be shipped how I wanted! THAT is an example of IMPECCABLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! The customer's kind of customer service! I only had the chance to wear 1 of the belts once so far, but no complaints there either!
THE BLACK BELT AND BROWN BELT ARE DIFFERENT
April 26, 2014
THIS IS FOR THE BLACK BELT - I wanted to order a brown and a black belt. When you click on the Black option, it was $14.73 with Prime shipping via Amazon from Belt Outlet.. The brown option was from Leatherboss, with $1.15 shipping at $10.63. So they had to be 2 separate orders. I bring this up because I am not sure if I can actually leave 2 separate reviews. Well ... back to the Black Belt - This was well worth the $14.75, It isn't a Coach ( I have several and they're just "OK"), but it is a decent quality. The buckle is fairly sturdy, and the leather is fairly nice.THE BROWN BELT - It came a day after the Black Belt, it was a sharp contrast to the Black one. It looked cheap, and the buckle was definitely not as sturdy as the one on the Black belt..It actually looked a bit flimsy. It was definitely appropriately priced lower than the black belt. I would give the Brown Belt a 3 STAR rating. Maybe a 4 star - it WAS cheaper ( Er .. sorry, less expensive)..UPDATE - Just as well I did it this way - they are considered the same item.I also uploaded 3 photos comparing the black and brown belts I receivedUPDATE 05/23/14 - We just returned from our European trip, both the brown and black belts were used, Both worked equally well, but the black belt is definitely a higher quality than the brown. In BOTH cases, the bills had to be folded "quarterly".(in half length wise and then again).
Really 1-1/4 inch wide
April 24, 2014
Based on reviews of another belt, I ordered a belt 2 inches bigger than my pants size (I wear pants size 44, I ordered a 46 belt size). It fits perfectly and matches my other (non-money) belts in size. The belt is only 1-1/4 inch wide, not 1-1/2 inch wide, which is good because my pants only have 1-1/4 inch loops.Money will have to be folded into 3rds to fit into the money compartment. It will hold 2 folded groups of American money bills lengthwise and have 2-4 inches to spare for other things. I tried folding 10 bills in thirds and fitting them in, but couldn't get them in. But I could fold 5 bills into 3rds and fit them in, so I got a total of 10 bills to fit in the money compartment. An estimate of 18-30 bills is too high for American money in my opinion.
Good Quality
November 2, 2011
Purchased the money belt for a trip into Mexico. Since I would not be using it often, I did not want to spend a lot. I was pleasantly surprised when I received the belt in that it was really very nice. The leather was good and it was well stitched. It is not a fancy belt, but is casual and utilitarian.I folded six bills in half length-wise and put three together. Inserted them into the belt so that there were two lengths of bills (three in each). There was a slight bulge in the belt that could be felt, but was not noticeable when worn. If you use $100 bills, you can carry $600 this way. I did not try more bills, but they would have increased the bulge somewhat. This may not be too noticeable, but I did not need to try the additional bills.Overall, I was quite satisfied with the price and quality.

This belt is really well made. The material is really nice and the secret compartment for money was a unique design that made it roomier for more currency without looking bulkier. Very nice...I recommend this product.
Good Value, Good Quality Belt
March 17, 2017
So far so good. I've had this belt for a few weeks now and am wearing it as my everyday belt. It looks good and is comfortable and has held up well. The real test will be to see how it is a year from now though. But it's been great so far. A note about sizing. I wear a size 36 pants for the waist size and ordered a size 38 in this belt and it is perfect size wize.
Keep your cash safe!
March 15, 2017
Works perfectly for its purpose and looks like a regular belt. Used it during a trip to store money and passport copy and it gave me the security of keeping a subset of my money in a safe place.
Holds a lot of Money!
February 17, 2017
Good belt. Solid construction Holds about 15 US bills without being obvious.Looks like a regular belt not like a belt made as a money belt which I regard as a safety feature. My only fault -- and I was warned -- was that this comes with bright shiny nickle hardware. I could not get brass (which I prefer) and had to order a belt buckle separate.
Get bigger size! Works great!
February 24, 2016
It looks decent and looks like an ordinary belt after putting money in the zipper. The only issue is the size, order bigger than your waist, despite the seller's instructions. I wear a size 34, I ordered the 36, after reading the reviews about fitting, and it barely has enough slack to tuck (I used the 2nd to last notch). Other than that, the belt feels great.
Great
March 28, 2014
This is my 3rd (and maybe last) Dress/Money Belt. Unlike the other two it seems to be real leather. Smart looking and you'd never know it has the hidden zip compartment. it easily holds 5-10 bills plus copies of Drivers Licence & Passport. We travel a lot in the USA & abroad and its a comfort knowing that we have backup cash & documents in case of a loss.A tip. the website says to order a belt length one size bigger than pant size. I found it better to order 2 sizes bigger. I wear 36" pants and I ordered a 40" belt which is just right.

This is my MOST FAVORITE accessory of ALL TIME
September 21, 2017
This is my MOST FAVORITE accessory of ALL TIME!!!! I use it for travel and when I am going out. I am famous for LOSING my personal belongings when I go out and I love how easy it is to attach to my belt and keep everything secure. Even though I am a female, I do not carry a purse, I only carry a small pocket pouch I can attach to my belt loop (I LOSE STUFF). I can keep a small squeeze light, hangover pills, extra cash, gum, and other small things in this pouch and I don't even feel it all ever, regardless of how heavy/full it is. I CAN NOT TELL YOU HOW AWESOME THIS POUCH IS. It's also great for travel, keeping ID's/passports, extra cash, tickets, etc.. . .just get it and use it!!!
Amazing for any Traveler.. .A Must have !
July 7, 2017
This was a hit when I traveled to Cuba in 2017.Simply put my Passport and Cash and just tucked it inside my pants.I never really felt it as I walked around Cuba and Havana for a few days.If I needed more cash, I just excused myself to the bathroom and took it and transferred cash to my temp wallet (in case of pickpocket thieves I would only loose 20$ in cash)Loved this, far better than a money belt, it held Passport, ID's Cash and Tickets!
really good idea and well executed
March 3, 2017
Really good idea, and well executed. Perfect to hang on your side, inside pants/shorts so it is comfortable when sitting. Holds passport, ID, cards, and cash in a way that doesn't show a bulge. Your belt threads through the [wide] short strap so it is very secure and won't come loose. Discreet. Briefly tried the neck configuration and it seemed just as discreet. Built in RFID protection means I don't have to use protector sleeves. Looking forward to trying it out on our next trip.
A good idea whose time has come.
December 7, 2016
I bought this for an upcoming trip to South America. The key reason is protection from pickpockets as well as protection against "proximity" reads on my credit cards with chips. It appears well made. It has three zippered pockets which is a nice feature. It has a soft side to protect against chaffing while tucked inside your pants.
Great travel wallet
October 19, 2016
I just had a chance to try this out on my recent trip to India and I have to say I was very impressed with its design. How well does it work? Pretty darn well.As per the instructions this can be worn in the front of the thigh or the side. I wore it in the front and I had no issues. To access it, it looks a bit awkward at first but once you got the mechanics down, it becomes second nature. The material appears to be sturdy and I see no sign of wear or damage after my 10 day trip with daily use.The size is adequate. It can fit a passport perfectly as well as a few other items, such as insurance papers etc and of course, money. There are 3 main compartments, all of which close with a zipper.I was even able to fit my Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo phone. If you have an overly thick case, you can probably still fit it in the large compartment but I was able to use the top zipper compartment. How well is it concealed? If you wear your shirt outside your pants ,nobody will see it at all. Somebody has to be looking for it otherwise (the seeming extra ring on the belt). If you are looking for a travel wallet, do not hesitate. This wallet works well and it did not hinder my mobility. It does require that you wear pants with a belt on them.
Solid product - just what I needed
July 10, 2015
I'll be able to give a more rounded return after my travels, but it appears to be very well constructed, and fits easily inside my pant leg (or shorts). The breathable mesh lining (that is supposed to face the leg) is quite soft, so I don't even notice that it is there. The stitching appears solid, and the strap loop is strong. The zippers work smoothly, and they aren't so big as to create any discomfort. All in all, I'd say that this will be a very fine product that should last many years. I can't review the RFID blocking technology because I have no way to test that. However, if it works, it's a great feature to have. Time will tell, but I am very pleased with my purchase thus far. I was very happy to see the company respond to a previous customer's suggestion that the loop be black in color, so it blends quite well with any black belt. It also fits well enough that any untucked shirt should be able to cover up the loop, anyway.

Comes with me on every trip.
August 21, 2016
I absolutely love this and do not travel abroad without it. I like to wander around Europe and spend a lot of time in train stations, bus stops and just walking through the streets and particularly in Italy and other Mediterranean countries there are lot of pickpockets and I know several people who have walked through a crowd only to find money or passports missing. Well, I keep most of my money folded up in this belt and then wear another belt on top of it to hide it and my money has stayed safe, despite me wandering into places that maybe I shouldn't have. I also print a copy of my passport and fold it up in there, just in case. As a bonus, I use it to help control my spending as I only pull out a certain amount of money each morning and since it's such a pain to get to, it helps me not to splurge on gelato. I've been I travel a few times a year and if I'm carrying cash, then this baby comes with me. It's comfortable and doesn't really show any wear. Well worth the peace of mind.
Good looking belt
December 2, 2015
This is my third Eagle Creek money belt. I wore one out and have another in black. It's solid. I've tried two other brands and the buckle gave out on both. Not the Eagle Creek. The buckle holds well and is durable. Just don't step heavily on it. I like the looks and use this as my everyday belt. The belt lays flat with a few bills rolled up inside so it's not obvious what it is. Having a plastic buckle doesn't set off airline security alarms. When I lost my wallet on a long road trip, having some cash with me made the difference between a nightmare and simple inconvenience. I'll always travel with a money belt and it will be this one.
Tremendous belt with an upside.
January 2, 2015
This belt has very sturdy construction with an all plastic construction. Initially I was worried about the buckle holding up, however, my fears have been proven unfounded. It is certainly lightweight and sturdy. The hidden money pocket takes a little practice to learn how to get the bills in, but once you know where to fold each bill it goes pretty quickly.Important note: Despite other reviews which talk about only fitting about 6 bills, I have EASILY fit 10 -12.My only reservations come from the zipper pull itself. It is a small pull but just dangles (like they are want to do) at the end. Other products have a bit of fabric to tuck this pull under for a bit more security. In all the time I have been wearing the belt, the zipper has not worked itself even the tiniest bit open, so I am more and more confident that this will never be an issue.Buy this belt, you will not be disappointed.
Airport Friendly / Non Flashy Money Belt
December 10, 2014
Kept my money secure while in Brazil. You will have to fold the bills long ways, and probably multiple times. The zipper is pretty long, at least a foot or 2 long. What I did was take 4 or 5 bills, fold them 4 times long ways, put them in and zip it up some. Then fold 4 mill bills the same way and place them in the belt and zip it up some more.I carried a fake wallet, with about R$100 in it and some expired credit cards along with the credit card offers they. Every morning I would replenish my fake wallet for my daily transactions. If someone mugged me I could happily hand over my wallet, or if I was pick pocketed it wouldn't be a great loss.I wore the belt through the airport with no problems. That was nice as it's one less thing you have to take off. Also I had to cut a few inches off the end, I re-melted the end on the gas stove to prevent fraying.
My new money belt
July 16, 2012
I ordered this belt a month ago for a trip I'm planning this fall. I decided to give it a good test before I take my trip. I have used this belt every day since it arrived. it is well made and stands up to having heavy equipment like knives, hatchets hung on it when I camp. I was concerned that the plastic buckle would not hold up but it's great and so is the inside zipper. I did a test on the bills it will hold and easily got ten bills in it. I could have done fifteen but twenty would have been a stretch. This is an edit to my earlier review. It is now January and I have worn this belt every day for 7 months and it is like brand new. The buckle has never gave me a problem, the belt is in like new condition still. I wear it with my leisure slacks, camping, hunting, fishing, out to dinner. I even started to wear it to work once in a while. it is a good belt with or without the money stash feature that worked out great by the way one month over seas the zipper got used a lot and is still fine. I ended up getting 15 bills in it plus a reduced copy of my birth certificate and driver licence.
Love these belts
April 21, 2012
I've been using my Eagle Creek belt since 1997 as my regular daily belt. I like it so much that I've bought additional belts over the years just to have a variety. First great thing about it, I'm a "big" guy (46 waist) and it works just fine. Second great thing, it's a great money belt but doesn't look like a money belt. Third great thing, it's all plastic (why is that great?), which means I don't have to take it off everytime I go through a metal detector, which happens often at my place of work. Excellent quality. Always looks good.

Nice belt, wish I could have used it
September 30, 2016
Nice belt, wish I could have used it. I ordered my waist size, not the needed belt length.. Ended up with a great belt that will only fit a small framed women or teenager. My bad I guess, I'm not a big belt shopper and just assumed.
Good value for the price, but not for everyday use.
September 17, 2015
Good Belt for it's true use. It is definitely NOT for everyday use. I purchase this to use for an international trip, not wanting to risk possibly losing all my cash. It definitely works as advertised. It is not top notch quality, but a good value for the price. It doesn't have a lot of room, but is adequate for paper money. Not sure a credit card will fit, seems it would be too narrow. The zipper is not very robust, but should hold up to occasional use.
Good value for the money
August 12, 2015
Good belt for the money. I've worn it for work 4 days a week for over two months now. It's not a high quality material and probably won't last longer than a year, but for less than $11, I'm happy with the purchase (and the hidden money option) which is why I gave 4 stars instead of 3.
Looks like an ordinary belt
July 26, 2015
Looks like an ordinary belt, which is what I was going for. The zipper shows through the opposite side a little, but not too noticeable. Sometimes I can get through the metal detectors at the airport and keep the belt on, sometimes not. I don't want to put a wad of cash in it and have to subject it to inspection. Bottom line: I'd get it again.Update 20 Sep 2015: I saw a similar item at Cabelas for 4 times the price. I wore this belt most days for three weeks in Germany and it was perfect. Great product.
Great belt
July 24, 2015
I got this belt for my boyfriend to keep some cash in while we are in Europe. The belt looks just like an ordinary belt and doesn't scream "tourist" as so many other security travel belts do. It is nice enough that it can be worn when not traveling as well just as a regular black belt. Obviously the down side to the belt is that you can only fit a few folded up bills. You cannot fit any credit cards or passports obviously, which other money belts like the Eagle Creek money belt can. I think this belt is great to just stow some emergency cash throughout the trip and use another money belt or secure bag to keep the rest of your money in.

Nice belt
October 21, 2016
I am about a 31" and ordered the 34". I am still on the last notch or two, so I probably should have ordered even bigger. It does run small. I was hoping for a bit thicker belt, but it was pliable enough to fit dollar bills folded in 3rds lengthwise. It looks really nice and will do the trick.
A nicely made practical belt.
September 9, 2016
I bought a black and a brown. My waist is 32, so I ordered 34. The belt fits me very well and appear to be well made. I hope my waistline doesn't expand; otherwise I'll be out of luck as I'm using the last hole of the belt.1. The brown one was shipped via Amazon Prime but the black one was shipped direct, costing $1.00 more after adding the freight. They arrived two days apart.2. The brown one has an additional leather loop that I like as it will hold excess belt length in the event the belt loop of the pants is too far away. The leather loop was stapled together, cheap looking and tacky, probably won't last long.3. The black one has NO additional leather loop. I wonder it was overlooked by accident.I wish the seller, Walter3, will send one to me, if it is supposed to have one.4. The money pocket is zippered, about 20 inches long. I tri-fold, lengthwise, hundred-dollar bills (US dollar) and line three bills end-to-end to stuff them inside the pocket. The maximum I can stuff were 12 bills or ($1200). One reviewer claimed to have $3,000 inside the pocket. I would like to learn how the dollar bills were folded to stuff that much without making the belt look too obvious for a money belt..5. I'll put both to use for my vacation trip next month and provide update after the trip.
Good belt.
July 14, 2015
First the good, why I gave 4 stars. All I wanted was a stylish casual comfortable belt that fits. Got it, looks and feels good and I love it. Now why it's missing the 5th star: Yes, it has a well hidden zipper pouch on the inner part of the belt, but it was darn right impossible to fit my drivers license in there or my ATM card. You might be able to hide a couple of dollar bills, but you really have to fold them very small. So far I have found no use for the inner zippered pouch, good thing I don't actually need that feature; and the belt itself is a good belt at a reasonable price.
The belt itself is amazing! It looks great and serves its purpose well
March 18, 2015
The belt itself is amazing! It looks great and serves its purpose well. If you do not over stuff it no one will ever know that it is a money belt. However, I had a horrible experience with the shipping. I ordered it a month before a month long trip and only got it two months after getting back! It took 4 months total to get to me!!! So order early with this one.
Well made, but not a stiff belt
February 25, 2015
Nice belt, well made. But, I like a stiff belt and this is maybe semi-stiff, like 3/5. It is also like an inch short. It fits, but only on the next to last hole. According to the instructions, it should have fit the middle 3rd hole. I like the engraving, the stitching is well done and the buckle is not flimsy but has a good feel to it (not light in weight) and a good finish. I would recommend this belt to everyone, except if you want a fairly stiff belt.
Peace of mind.
July 11, 2014
Bought this to take on a recent trip to Ecuador. It's a heavy-duty, quality belt...with room to conceal about ten bills for extra security if you fold them correctly. I'd buy this again.

Excellent Protection!
September 11, 2017
It is well made, has separate zippered pockets for paper money, credit cards, and your passport. A strap connects it to your belt. Shacke includes instructions, very helpful. I wear it in between my pants and underwear, very comfortable. I gave it 4 stars because it is a little cumbersome to get in & out, but it certainly provides the BEST protection from pick pocketers I have ever seen. Much better than a neck pouch! Would definitely recommend it!
Perfect for travels
June 22, 2017
Just the ticket for my recent travels to the UK. The large outside top pouch was just right for the weird sizes of the various denominations of the British pound and the lower pocket was great for my travel credit card. I felt very secure with my passport on the inside pocket. The only drawback I found (hence the 4 stars instead of 5) was that it was awkward to flip the wallet inside my pants but I found that with my belt through the loop and the wallet in my pants pocket I was confident in the safety. That way it was easy to get to when I needed to pay.One suggestion for improvement would be add identical pockets to the outside reverse of the wallet to facilitate carrying multiple currencies.

May 12, 2017
I purchased this for my first time out of the country for vacation/cruise. I ended up not using it as much as I thought I would mainly due to I spent more time in swim clothes in or around water than walking around land in normal clothes like I thought I would. The time I did use it though, I was able to put 2 passports, IDs, credit cards, and a little cash without it being to bulky. Like others said, it is a little bit of a pain to pull out, so if there is something (cash, card, etc.) that you are going to need frequently, it would be better to not store it in this.
Well made travel belt wallet
April 2, 2017
This product is very well made. I just came back from a 12 day trip where I had to carry my passport at all times and it fit nicely in the large compartment. I wore the wallet inside my pants when walking and found it very comfortable, however sitting down, I found it more comfortable to flip outside, and then tuck back in when I got up. This was a small inconvenience and due to carrying the stiff passport. The other thing I had to remember was to take it off for security check-in at the airport, therefore I kept it between the buckle and first loop for convenience.
This is less than obvious but still easily detected. And yes
June 16, 2015
I recently received this item for a trip to China. It worked as advertised and arrived quickly. The missing star is for attachment options. As an inside the waistband type cache I wish the loop had a button hole. As it is, the loop must be attached outside your pant ( or you ladies with a skirt) around your belt. This is less than obvious but still easily detected. And yes, you might be able to hide it behind a camera or cell phone case, but I carry neither on my belt.A fine product otherwise and to my knowledge is RFID safe.
Good design; permanent marker fixes loop color
April 30, 2015
It has a good pocket design and layout - easy to use. I knocked off a star because of the gray belt loop others have commented on. But I got it to look fine with my black belt by working it over with a wide permanent market pen.

Great belt for travel
May 18, 2015
I wore this belt for 2 weeks traveling 1,300 across Morocco. I was able to keep $600 US, and a copy of my and my wife's passports. I wore it through security in the US, Spain, Morocco, Amsterdam no issue. In Morocco I had to go through additional security and they didn't seem to notice the compartment. Overall, I recommend anyone traveling abroad or if you live in a bad neighborhood to purchase this belt.
Worked great on my recent trip to Asia
January 10, 2015
Worked great on my recent trip to Asia. I was able to keep a color copy of my passport and up to 15 $100 bills in the zippered compartment. The belt looked casual and went well with shorts and jeans. My only, very minor, complaint is that the belt size was not adjustable so depending on how big your waist is, there maybe a little extra belt webbing. I have a 38" waist and it was still slightly long and would like to have been able to cut down the length a little. I would definitely recommend this to keep extra money hidden and away from any pick pockets or accidentally losing your cash.
It gets the job done.
November 19, 2014
I got this to use as my primary belt for a post-grad backpacking trip across Europe. I purchased it primarily because I had heard horror stories of pick pockets, but also did not want to wear anything that would be annoying on my person for long periods of time. The belt is fashionable enough in the dark brown color -- it complements a pair of jeans pretty well without looking too cheap. The inside of the belt has a zipper in which you can easily fit multiple bills if you fold them up well. I carried a couple hundred Euros with me in my belt, though I'm sure you could fit more if you chose to as well. Simply put, it gets the job done if you're looking to inconspicuously carry cash on you while being a tourist in a foreign country. My one complaint is that it is not of high quality -- the material which it's made of started fraying quite badly 2/3 the way through the trip, and towards the end, the frayed threads looked a tad ridiculous. I used a pair of scissors to snip off the problematic regions, but this only makes it easier for it to unravel in the future. Granted, I did wear the belt for a 23 day journey. I've since thrown the belt away. All in all, while I wasn't targeted by pickpockets, I was definitely glad I purchased this belt. It could've been a life saver.
Eagle Creek Travel Belt
March 15, 2014
All terrain belt? Really? What kind of belts are people wearing these days? A dress belt will most likely make it through some outdoor terrain action. Unless it was acid terrain. Bananas. This belt, however, is dope. For real what have I been doing with my life not wearing a fiber woven belt with a plastic belt buckle? Yo, this is the most comfortable belt I have ever pressed up against my hairy belly skin. And now I can store...like a sheet of paper on the inside of it. Sure hope that comes in useful. I'm considering some world travel sooner rather than later and I look forward to folding my emergency pieces of paper inside my silky, durable all purpose/terrain belt. Hell yeah.
Works well
April 27, 2013
My father was going to Latin America on a trip. When he travels there, he always uses a money belt. He could not find his leather one from a previous trip so I ordered this one for him, primarily because it lacked a metal clasp. Items with larger metal pieces have to be taken off at an airport, and in my experience, you want to keep your money and passport as near as possible. I fully expected him to use the belt only until he could get a handcrafted leather one made in Guatemala or Mexico. However, he came back and actually continues to wear the belt as an everyday belt. While wearing the belt on his trip, he found it to be secure, easy to put on and take off, and outfitted with a strong zipper. He also loved that he never had to take it off at the airport. As with most money belts, the negative is usually folding your money enough so that it can be zippered securely. This required a bit of patience and persistence. All in all, a good purchase.
Worked fine.
April 18, 2013
Bought it for trip to central America. Fortunately never had a chance to need it, but was very handy. Decent looking and innocuous. Once filled, found it helpful to pull the belt through my hands numerous times to soften the folded currency within. Only complaint is that they should lengthen the zipper pocket (not sure how this could be a negative and would allow more bills) and widen it because bills have to be folded down too much so they get thicker than necessary. This last really is a dumb point as if wider the bills would be thinner folded and thereby less easy to notice as a "bulge", also easier to fold and insert. In any event is worked fine and will use for years to come I hope.

Comes in over long size
March 2, 2017
Belt seems to be much longer than expected. 42" belt is actually a 44" belt. Finish is weak. Surface was scuffed after only a couple of day's use. Materials are somewhat poor quality but the price is very competitive.
Didn't hold much cash
February 20, 2017
Belt looks fine, fit was ok, but the zippered pouch was much smaller that expected. Bills had to be folded over several times (lengthwise) to fit into it. Thank goodness we didn't need to take much cash along, lol.

Not durable over the long run. I have had mine for about 2 years now and now the leather is peeling off around the most used holes. I use it mainly in the cold weather season during work days. This is roughly 7 months/year. So maybe 14 months of weekday use.I leave money in it, but rarely use the zipper so havent had any problems there. It isnt a terrible value, but Im looking to replace it now and will see if there are other options available. If not I would buy another one.
A Bit Unwieldy
October 4, 2016
Pretty clever idea, but you have to fold the bills up so tightly, that I didn't find it practical on a recent trip to Brazil and relied instead on the Eagle Creek Undercover Hidden Pocket. At least it still functions as a belt, so for $10 I can live with it. Perhaps a good approach might be to simply fold a larger bil once and put it into this belt for emergencies.
It's ok, doesn't hold too much money, but it works.
December 19, 2015
You really have to fold your money a lot of times in order to get it to fit inside the zipper. I used this belt while traveling abroad and managed to mash $800 in hundreds in there. It really can't hold too much cash, definitely not worth putting $20 bills in there. I was traveling with $3,000 and didn't want to leave my cash in the hotel, I ended up getting one of those pouches that you wear on your stomach inside your pants, held a lot more money. The belt was ok quality, didn't break, but it did scratch up easily. It was really inexpensive, I guess it's alright for the money.
Belt is pretty good - the zipper is not so good
November 2, 2015
The belt itself is pretty good for the price. But the zipper fell apart the 3rd time I used it.If you put more that 3 bills folded thick, the zipper cannot handle the thickness. So, that REALLY limits the number of bills the belt can handle.

Works as advertised
July 24, 2017
I wear 36-38 pants, ordered a 40" belt, and it fit in the first hole. If I had to do it again, I wold have ordered slightly larger. The belt itself is wider than my normal belt - which I suppose is to be expected as it needs to actually hold things. That said I had one pair of pants where the belt loops were too small to fit the belt. I would not wear this belt for comfort, but it did its job on a trip.

Middle of the road money belt.
July 28, 2016
I got a decent money belt, but not a really good or great money belt. The way it is made a person could tell that it is a money belt by looking at it when it is worn unless you stuff it with $20's all the time. The point of a money belt is to not be noticed as wearing a money belt. Good color, leather, stitching and hardware, but just lacking in the belt design.
It's just OK
July 10, 2016
Leather is low grade. Lumpy looking. Bought this for a trip to Europe. Will probably work for what it is intended, but I'm not confident that it will last with long term use. Doesn't hold more than 3 or 4 bills, which have to be folded several times. Size runs small. Based on other reviews I ordered a 38 ( I wear a 36 waist). Only buckles in first hole. If you order go at least 2 sizes bigger than normal. Glad I got this with AMEX points, so I didn't pay real money for it.

Bought this item instead of another that cost have the price based on reviews.I think the other belt would have worked just fine for a lot less since its not an every day use item for me.Be sure you order two size larger then your pant waist size. 34W get 36W belt and so on, might even consider a 38W, mine fits on the second or third hole towards belt end.

Not for use with thinner fabric pants
August 19, 2017
Seems well enough made and, in theory, it's a sensible idea. One major issue is that it "prints" against thinner pants fabrics irrespective of leg position. This should be alright with jeans, but I don't travel in those so it's a deal-breaker for me.
I love this wallet/ passport rfid blocker
August 12, 2017
I love this wallet/ passport rfid blocker! I only gave it three stars because the main top zipper came off track. I went all over P.I. with this and felt secure with my passport and cash. the zipper seems to be fragile once the material is broken in. I have a friend whom can put a new Zipper on it but wish the zipper was heavier duty.
Not bad, could be better
August 5, 2017
Mine snagged on someone and broke as I was boarding a flight overseas. I had it on my shoulder.I guess if it was inside my pants hidden this wouldn't have happened. If the connecting point (stitching was stronger) where the string meets the pouch, this would be a 5 star product. The service was good though as I requested a return since the product broke.I guess it's worth the money, just don't wear it around your shoulder or on your arm, it will get broken easily if you just brush up against someone lightly.I would give 3.5 but only allows whole stars
Does the job but there are products that are easier and overall better design.
May 28, 2017
It certainly did the job but it was a bit awkward to stuff in my pants and pull out when I needed to access it. I attaching to my belt and stuffing in my pocket but it stuck out of my pocket too much. We ending up using a waist wallet halfway through our trip which worked much better and was less awkward. This product might be good for others but I feel like other options are better.
Not a Great Wallet Replacement
September 6, 2016
I purchased this to use on my first trip out of the US when I was backpacking in China and Japan. I tried using it attached to my belt inside my cargo shorts but honestly it was very annoying when trying to pull it out when I needed it at a restaurant or a shop. Its okay if you were just using it for your passport and never really needed to pull it out. But if you plan to use it as a replacement to a wallet, it doesn't work out well. Just having to keep pulling it out of your pants is just inconvenient and awkward. I ended up just putting it in my buttoned cargo pocket on my shorts and pulling it out as needed from there. Would probably next time use an around the neck one that is water proof too.

November 18, 2015
I like the idea of having a belt loop so that it's easier to get to, but this thing was just too big to be practical. I wear fairly loose pants and a belt, but I still had a hard time getting this in and out. I ended up not using it very much on my last trip. I just did what I normally do by storing my most important stuff in a safe back at the hotel and keeping a modest amount of cash, one credit card and a photo copy of my passport with me in a front pocket.I did use it for travel days through busy train stations in Europe. But I would not want to use it for my passport while traveling through airports, it is just too cumbersome.

( I love eagle Creek products
March 19, 2017
I bought this Eagle Creek money belt because my old eagle Creek money belt, though still working perfectly after ten years, needed a face lift I guess. The new belt did NOT have ykk zippers something eagle Creek usually always uses because of ykk's qua!Ity. Was it a knock off? I do not know. You can fit about 500 US dollars in twenty dollars bills in it (I cover them in cut to fit plastic sandwich baggies to prevent tem from getting soaked with persperation, which they will if you do not do this--trust me on this). I also bought a ZERO GRID money belt recently which is about one eighth of an inch wider and the money storage part, about five inches longer. It is over twice the price of the eagle Creek money belt, which is expensive, but worth it I feel. In the Zero Grid money belt you can fit four bundles of twenties US dollars (400 dollars of twenties in each bundle--that is twelve hundred dollars) folded lengthwise and wrapped in thin cut sandwiched baggies). This keeps that amount of money safe from would be thieves ( I sleep with my belt around my waist when I am traveling---better paranoid and safe than pennyless when traveling far from home). And NO I am not in anyway a spokesman for Zero Grid. ( I love eagle Creek products, but I feel the Zero Grid money belt is much better than Eagle Creeks money belt at least for me and my travel needs.) Hope this lengthy summary helps someone.
Great Functionality but Not Durable
June 19, 2016
I loved this belt for traveling or everyday wear. The brown color goes well with jeans or hiking pants. It is lightweight and the buckle is easy to use. I loved this and wore it almost every day during my travels. And then the buckle broke! It just slipped off and after holding on to the strap and buckle for months hoping to find a way to fix it, I finally sadly threw it away. Will miss this belt but probably won't buy again because I do expect a belt to last more than a year.

February 2, 2015
Would rate as fair/okay; web belt fabric seems sturdy enough but buckle (and teeth pinching fabric) appears to be made of plastic) and the end of the belt has no clip over it to prevent fraying over time. I therefore question the durability of this belt over time. Also, belt itself appears to fit up to waist size 38-40; thus a bit tight for me to wear comfortably being 40-42 waist. It does look good, but if your waist size is over 40 I don't recommend you get this belt.
These belts used to be great, now they are barely ok
January 25, 2013
I've owned one of the Eagle Creek all terrain money belts for 5+ years. It has been great and I've used it for travel to Southeast Asia, Argentina, Mexico, and all around the United States, but I've also used it as a daily belt with jeans over the last several years. Some people have said that they dislike the plastic buckle, but that was one of my favorite parts of the original belt. It was nice to be able to go through metal detectors etc at the airport without having to remove my belt and I really liked the infinite adjustability of the original clamp versus the standard belt style with holes for specific waist sizes.Lately, after years of use, the belt fabric material on my original had begun to fray a bit, which makes the buckle a little more difficult to clamp and sometimes it has a tendency to pop open randomly. I have gotten a lot of use out of the belt and I've been very happy with it so I decided to order a replacement. The new belt I recently received has a re-designed buckle that pivots instead of clamps down. Maybe they did this to fix the issues with the clamp and frayed fabric. Unfortunately, this design seems completely inferior since it makes it much more difficult to adjust or remove the belt. The new belt has the same model name as the old style and the Amazon product that I ordered still currently shows a picture of the old style belt clamp. It's unfortunate that Eagle Creek has ruined a good design.

It's best as a belt, is a very poor money belt.
October 28, 2016
Don't bother, we had to place in $100 bills and could not believe the price for a leather money belt. If you want to spend an inordinate amount of time trying to placed a tri-fold bill into this thing, be my guest. After stuffing in two bills, we figured this was a waste of time. Stick with the Eagle Creek belt that is nylon and not as fancy. For 9.95, guess this really is a belt and a poor money belt!! I gave it two stars because it fulfilled the belt part, but flunked the money belt section. Our belt was sewn so tight, you would have a issue placing in a dollar bill!

August 11, 2016
The internal compartment is too small to hold anything of value - the height of the compartment is 1/3 the height of a dollar bill - try folding your money lengthwise into thirds and see if you can do it (Maybe if you are a street magician you could force a few bills into it). It certainly cannot hold any kind of credit card or government issued ID. Maybe if you had something really long and narrow to hide, or just wanted a place to store a handful of coins, then it might be worth it. Otherwise, I would pass.
Black coloring flakes away after a period of time
July 31, 2016
I bought this in 2015 and less than a year the black began to peel away from near the eye holes and around. I tried to juse a black sharpie to color in the holes which sort of worked but I was disappointed in that the black of the leather flaked off in the first placeI guess for about 10 dollars what can you expect. I will be looking for a replacement belt in a different type or from a different manufacturerI am sorry I cannot recommend this product.
Broken zipper.

The belt arrived with a broken zipper. I am sure the seller would be happy to exchange but having to pay for shipping and deal with going to the post office is such a dang hassle. Plus, who is to say I won't get another broken one after all of that since it does not appear that they check the merchandise before they ship it out.

I have had a leather money belt for years and was very satisfied with it
November 4, 2017
When I received (October 2017) this belt, it was coiled tightly. When uncoiled, it resulted in vertical puckering all across the back of the belt. I thought perhaps it would improve after being hung up for a while. Nothing changed. I have had a leather money belt for years and was very satisfied with it. Upon closer examination, I have some concerns about this belt. Although the vendor states that the belt is bovine leather, under magnification, it appears the backing is a different material. Also, the backing is twice the thickness of the outside (whereas outside and backing of my old belt were nearly the same thickness and material). This belt is significantly thicker (35%) than by old belt making it more difficult to fit into belt loops as well as making it stiffer. I feel the puckering could come from either the outside being much thinner than the backing or the material of the backing does not have the same flexibility as the outside. I also feel the thin leather on the outside of the belt would bluge with anything more than a few bills in the zipper pocket. I am generally disappointed with this product. However, I did like the longer zipper pocket.

August 23, 2016
The pocket is a good size to hide money, but the belt is very cheaply made. I looks like it's going to come apart and I have not even wore it yet. Next time use better material and charge me a few extra dollars. I don't think it's made out of leather. I think it's made out of some other material.
Nice enough belt - but very limited storage that is hard to get into
July 23, 2016

You get what you pay for , mostly. Ordered a brown somewhat stylish belt. Got a burgundy cheap belt with a really long narrow zipper. The leather belt holder wouldn't even allow the belt in. Black color begins peeling almost immediately. Junk.
November 10, 2015
Within less than a week of first wearing it, the black "leather" started to peel badly at the point where it loops into the buckle - right at the very visible front of the belt when being worn - exposing the light grey material that the belt is made of. It reminded me of a light grey suede belt that has been painted black, essentially. Within two weeks it also lost its small belt loop at the base of the buckle. Good for the garbage at this point.

May 9, 2015
Awful, as others have said, the belt is too small. I wear 34 pants, and 34 belts, I ordered a 34 but cannot even buckle this belt! I used the online sizer, I measured, but it's way too small. I really think I'd need to order a 38 for a good fit ( a good fit would be the middle hole on a belt with my 34" waist). What really sucks is I need to pay return shipping to get my money back. THAT'S CRAP! I didn't order the wrong size, the product itself is the wrong size. At the end of the day, I will lose at least 6 bucks to return a belt that I can't wear!I will never order anything from this company again since they will not take care of this situation.Edit to add: you now have the option of having this fulfilled by Amazon Prime. Use it! Also, do what the others suggest and add 2"-4" on your measured waist. Don't go by the guide unless it's updated to reflect how it really fits (Currently it states that a size 34 belt works for a 34" measured waist) But, be aware, this is not a durable belt, as other mentioned it degrades quite quickly.Have a great day!

Dear Sirs:I just received my Pocket Vault from Amazon. There was a card inside askingthat I contact you before leaving a negative comment. Although there isnothing you can do about my concern, I thought I would be polite and honoryour request. The Pocket Vault is well made and cleverly designed with its multiplecompartments. As I fully expected (from reading other reviewers' comments)the stored contents are not immediately accessible as this sits inside mypants. That is okay since my prime reason for purchasing your product wasonly to disguise the fact that I have valuables hidden on my person.Unfortunately, it doesn't accomplish this with its grey belt loop. All of mybelts (as I suspect many other people's) are brown leather. The grey beltloop on the Pocket Vault contrasts sharply with my belts advertising that Ihave something hidden inside my pants. If you ever manufacturer a Pocket Vault with a brown or black belt loop, Iwill consider repurchasing one. For now, I will be returning your product toAmazon for a refund.Thank you.Steve-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Dear Steve,After reading your e-mail I had to stop and pause for a minute and really think about what you said. I asked myself, "Wait why didn't we make the loop black"? And to be honest I think it was a major oversight. We were concentrating so hard on the other functions we let this one slip. I'm talking to our engineers now to produce a black loop over the gray.Thank you so much for your input, we really appreciate it.John

BEWARE OF THE NEW CHEAP BUCKLE!
August 31, 2014
They have changed and cheapened the buckle. I've had two of these belts for years and have gone everywhere with them. The original buckle was attached to the belt by overlapping a piece of the belt and sewing it to itself. Very secure. No way that buckle can become detached. New buckle is clamped on to one end, not securely overlapped and sewn. If that clamp breaks or gives out, belt will come off with all your bux in it, and you'll never know. Eagle Creek took a good thing and really cheapened something that is designed for security. You don't compromise on security! I am returning asap.
