Comes with me on every trip.
August 21, 2016
I absolutely love this and do not travel abroad without it. I like to wander around Europe and spend a lot of time in train stations, bus stops and just walking through the streets and particularly in Italy and other Mediterranean countries there are lot of pickpockets and I know several people who have walked through a crowd only to find money or passports missing. Well, I keep most of my money folded up in this belt and then wear another belt on top of it to hide it and my money has stayed safe, despite me wandering into places that maybe I shouldn't have. I also print a copy of my passport and fold it up in there, just in case. As a bonus, I use it to help control my spending as I only pull out a certain amount of money each morning and since it's such a pain to get to, it helps me not to splurge on gelato. I've been I travel a few times a year and if I'm carrying cash, then this baby comes with me. It's comfortable and doesn't really show any wear. Well worth the peace of mind.
Good looking belt
December 2, 2015
This is my third Eagle Creek money belt. I wore one out and have another in black. It's solid. I've tried two other brands and the buckle gave out on both. Not the Eagle Creek. The buckle holds well and is durable. Just don't step heavily on it. I like the looks and use this as my everyday belt. The belt lays flat with a few bills rolled up inside so it's not obvious what it is. Having a plastic buckle doesn't set off airline security alarms. When I lost my wallet on a long road trip, having some cash with me made the difference between a nightmare and simple inconvenience. I'll always travel with a money belt and it will be this one.
Tremendous belt with an upside.
January 2, 2015
This belt has very sturdy construction with an all plastic construction. Initially I was worried about the buckle holding up, however, my fears have been proven unfounded. It is certainly lightweight and sturdy. The hidden money pocket takes a little practice to learn how to get the bills in, but once you know where to fold each bill it goes pretty quickly.Important note: Despite other reviews which talk about only fitting about 6 bills, I have EASILY fit 10 -12.My only reservations come from the zipper pull itself. It is a small pull but just dangles (like they are want to do) at the end. Other products have a bit of fabric to tuck this pull under for a bit more security. In all the time I have been wearing the belt, the zipper has not worked itself even the tiniest bit open, so I am more and more confident that this will never be an issue.Buy this belt, you will not be disappointed.
Airport Friendly / Non Flashy Money Belt
December 10, 2014
Kept my money secure while in Brazil. You will have to fold the bills long ways, and probably multiple times. The zipper is pretty long, at least a foot or 2 long. What I did was take 4 or 5 bills, fold them 4 times long ways, put them in and zip it up some. Then fold 4 mill bills the same way and place them in the belt and zip it up some more.I carried a fake wallet, with about R$100 in it and some expired credit cards along with the credit card offers they. Every morning I would replenish my fake wallet for my daily transactions. If someone mugged me I could happily hand over my wallet, or if I was pick pocketed it wouldn't be a great loss.I wore the belt through the airport with no problems. That was nice as it's one less thing you have to take off. Also I had to cut a few inches off the end, I re-melted the end on the gas stove to prevent fraying.
My new money belt
July 16, 2012
I ordered this belt a month ago for a trip I'm planning this fall. I decided to give it a good test before I take my trip. I have used this belt every day since it arrived. it is well made and stands up to having heavy equipment like knives, hatchets hung on it when I camp. I was concerned that the plastic buckle would not hold up but it's great and so is the inside zipper. I did a test on the bills it will hold and easily got ten bills in it. I could have done fifteen but twenty would have been a stretch. This is an edit to my earlier review. It is now January and I have worn this belt every day for 7 months and it is like brand new. The buckle has never gave me a problem, the belt is in like new condition still. I wear it with my leisure slacks, camping, hunting, fishing, out to dinner. I even started to wear it to work once in a while. it is a good belt with or without the money stash feature that worked out great by the way one month over seas the zipper got used a lot and is still fine. I ended up getting 15 bills in it plus a reduced copy of my birth certificate and driver licence.
Love these belts
April 21, 2012
I've been using my Eagle Creek belt since 1997 as my regular daily belt. I like it so much that I've bought additional belts over the years just to have a variety. First great thing about it, I'm a "big" guy (46 waist) and it works just fine. Second great thing, it's a great money belt but doesn't look like a money belt. Third great thing, it's all plastic (why is that great?), which means I don't have to take it off everytime I go through a metal detector, which happens often at my place of work. Excellent quality. Always looks good.

This is my MOST FAVORITE accessory of ALL TIME
September 21, 2017
This is my MOST FAVORITE accessory of ALL TIME!!!! I use it for travel and when I am going out. I am famous for LOSING my personal belongings when I go out and I love how easy it is to attach to my belt and keep everything secure. Even though I am a female, I do not carry a purse, I only carry a small pocket pouch I can attach to my belt loop (I LOSE STUFF). I can keep a small squeeze light, hangover pills, extra cash, gum, and other small things in this pouch and I don't even feel it all ever, regardless of how heavy/full it is. I CAN NOT TELL YOU HOW AWESOME THIS POUCH IS. It's also great for travel, keeping ID's/passports, extra cash, tickets, etc.. . .just get it and use it!!!
Amazing for any Traveler.. .A Must have !
July 7, 2017
This was a hit when I traveled to Cuba in 2017.Simply put my Passport and Cash and just tucked it inside my pants.I never really felt it as I walked around Cuba and Havana for a few days.If I needed more cash, I just excused myself to the bathroom and took it and transferred cash to my temp wallet (in case of pickpocket thieves I would only loose 20$ in cash)Loved this, far better than a money belt, it held Passport, ID's Cash and Tickets!
really good idea and well executed
March 3, 2017
Really good idea, and well executed. Perfect to hang on your side, inside pants/shorts so it is comfortable when sitting. Holds passport, ID, cards, and cash in a way that doesn't show a bulge. Your belt threads through the [wide] short strap so it is very secure and won't come loose. Discreet. Briefly tried the neck configuration and it seemed just as discreet. Built in RFID protection means I don't have to use protector sleeves. Looking forward to trying it out on our next trip.
A good idea whose time has come.
December 7, 2016
I bought this for an upcoming trip to South America. The key reason is protection from pickpockets as well as protection against "proximity" reads on my credit cards with chips. It appears well made. It has three zippered pockets which is a nice feature. It has a soft side to protect against chaffing while tucked inside your pants.
Great travel wallet
October 19, 2016
I just had a chance to try this out on my recent trip to India and I have to say I was very impressed with its design. How well does it work? Pretty darn well.As per the instructions this can be worn in the front of the thigh or the side. I wore it in the front and I had no issues. To access it, it looks a bit awkward at first but once you got the mechanics down, it becomes second nature. The material appears to be sturdy and I see no sign of wear or damage after my 10 day trip with daily use.The size is adequate. It can fit a passport perfectly as well as a few other items, such as insurance papers etc and of course, money. There are 3 main compartments, all of which close with a zipper.I was even able to fit my Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo phone. If you have an overly thick case, you can probably still fit it in the large compartment but I was able to use the top zipper compartment. How well is it concealed? If you wear your shirt outside your pants ,nobody will see it at all. Somebody has to be looking for it otherwise (the seeming extra ring on the belt). If you are looking for a travel wallet, do not hesitate. This wallet works well and it did not hinder my mobility. It does require that you wear pants with a belt on them.
Solid product - just what I needed
July 10, 2015
I'll be able to give a more rounded return after my travels, but it appears to be very well constructed, and fits easily inside my pant leg (or shorts). The breathable mesh lining (that is supposed to face the leg) is quite soft, so I don't even notice that it is there. The stitching appears solid, and the strap loop is strong. The zippers work smoothly, and they aren't so big as to create any discomfort. All in all, I'd say that this will be a very fine product that should last many years. I can't review the RFID blocking technology because I have no way to test that. However, if it works, it's a great feature to have. Time will tell, but I am very pleased with my purchase thus far. I was very happy to see the company respond to a previous customer's suggestion that the loop be black in color, so it blends quite well with any black belt. It also fits well enough that any untucked shirt should be able to cover up the loop, anyway.

Great belt for travel
May 18, 2015
I wore this belt for 2 weeks traveling 1,300 across Morocco. I was able to keep $600 US, and a copy of my and my wife's passports. I wore it through security in the US, Spain, Morocco, Amsterdam no issue. In Morocco I had to go through additional security and they didn't seem to notice the compartment. Overall, I recommend anyone traveling abroad or if you live in a bad neighborhood to purchase this belt.
Worked great on my recent trip to Asia
January 10, 2015
Worked great on my recent trip to Asia. I was able to keep a color copy of my passport and up to 15 $100 bills in the zippered compartment. The belt looked casual and went well with shorts and jeans. My only, very minor, complaint is that the belt size was not adjustable so depending on how big your waist is, there maybe a little extra belt webbing. I have a 38" waist and it was still slightly long and would like to have been able to cut down the length a little. I would definitely recommend this to keep extra money hidden and away from any pick pockets or accidentally losing your cash.
It gets the job done.
November 19, 2014
I got this to use as my primary belt for a post-grad backpacking trip across Europe. I purchased it primarily because I had heard horror stories of pick pockets, but also did not want to wear anything that would be annoying on my person for long periods of time. The belt is fashionable enough in the dark brown color -- it complements a pair of jeans pretty well without looking too cheap. The inside of the belt has a zipper in which you can easily fit multiple bills if you fold them up well. I carried a couple hundred Euros with me in my belt, though I'm sure you could fit more if you chose to as well. Simply put, it gets the job done if you're looking to inconspicuously carry cash on you while being a tourist in a foreign country. My one complaint is that it is not of high quality -- the material which it's made of started fraying quite badly 2/3 the way through the trip, and towards the end, the frayed threads looked a tad ridiculous. I used a pair of scissors to snip off the problematic regions, but this only makes it easier for it to unravel in the future. Granted, I did wear the belt for a 23 day journey. I've since thrown the belt away. All in all, while I wasn't targeted by pickpockets, I was definitely glad I purchased this belt. It could've been a life saver.
Eagle Creek Travel Belt
March 15, 2014
All terrain belt? Really? What kind of belts are people wearing these days? A dress belt will most likely make it through some outdoor terrain action. Unless it was acid terrain. Bananas. This belt, however, is dope. For real what have I been doing with my life not wearing a fiber woven belt with a plastic belt buckle? Yo, this is the most comfortable belt I have ever pressed up against my hairy belly skin. And now I can store...like a sheet of paper on the inside of it. Sure hope that comes in useful. I'm considering some world travel sooner rather than later and I look forward to folding my emergency pieces of paper inside my silky, durable all purpose/terrain belt. Hell yeah.
Works well
April 27, 2013
My father was going to Latin America on a trip. When he travels there, he always uses a money belt. He could not find his leather one from a previous trip so I ordered this one for him, primarily because it lacked a metal clasp. Items with larger metal pieces have to be taken off at an airport, and in my experience, you want to keep your money and passport as near as possible. I fully expected him to use the belt only until he could get a handcrafted leather one made in Guatemala or Mexico. However, he came back and actually continues to wear the belt as an everyday belt. While wearing the belt on his trip, he found it to be secure, easy to put on and take off, and outfitted with a strong zipper. He also loved that he never had to take it off at the airport. As with most money belts, the negative is usually folding your money enough so that it can be zippered securely. This required a bit of patience and persistence. All in all, a good purchase.
Worked fine.
April 18, 2013
Bought it for trip to central America. Fortunately never had a chance to need it, but was very handy. Decent looking and innocuous. Once filled, found it helpful to pull the belt through my hands numerous times to soften the folded currency within. Only complaint is that they should lengthen the zipper pocket (not sure how this could be a negative and would allow more bills) and widen it because bills have to be folded down too much so they get thicker than necessary. This last really is a dumb point as if wider the bills would be thinner folded and thereby less easy to notice as a "bulge", also easier to fold and insert. In any event is worked fine and will use for years to come I hope.

Excellent Protection!
September 11, 2017
It is well made, has separate zippered pockets for paper money, credit cards, and your passport. A strap connects it to your belt. Shacke includes instructions, very helpful. I wear it in between my pants and underwear, very comfortable. I gave it 4 stars because it is a little cumbersome to get in & out, but it certainly provides the BEST protection from pick pocketers I have ever seen. Much better than a neck pouch! Would definitely recommend it!
Perfect for travels
June 22, 2017
Just the ticket for my recent travels to the UK. The large outside top pouch was just right for the weird sizes of the various denominations of the British pound and the lower pocket was great for my travel credit card. I felt very secure with my passport on the inside pocket. The only drawback I found (hence the 4 stars instead of 5) was that it was awkward to flip the wallet inside my pants but I found that with my belt through the loop and the wallet in my pants pocket I was confident in the safety. That way it was easy to get to when I needed to pay.One suggestion for improvement would be add identical pockets to the outside reverse of the wallet to facilitate carrying multiple currencies.

May 12, 2017
I purchased this for my first time out of the country for vacation/cruise. I ended up not using it as much as I thought I would mainly due to I spent more time in swim clothes in or around water than walking around land in normal clothes like I thought I would. The time I did use it though, I was able to put 2 passports, IDs, credit cards, and a little cash without it being to bulky. Like others said, it is a little bit of a pain to pull out, so if there is something (cash, card, etc.) that you are going to need frequently, it would be better to not store it in this.
Well made travel belt wallet
April 2, 2017
This product is very well made. I just came back from a 12 day trip where I had to carry my passport at all times and it fit nicely in the large compartment. I wore the wallet inside my pants when walking and found it very comfortable, however sitting down, I found it more comfortable to flip outside, and then tuck back in when I got up. This was a small inconvenience and due to carrying the stiff passport. The other thing I had to remember was to take it off for security check-in at the airport, therefore I kept it between the buckle and first loop for convenience.
This is less than obvious but still easily detected. And yes
June 16, 2015
I recently received this item for a trip to China. It worked as advertised and arrived quickly. The missing star is for attachment options. As an inside the waistband type cache I wish the loop had a button hole. As it is, the loop must be attached outside your pant ( or you ladies with a skirt) around your belt. This is less than obvious but still easily detected. And yes, you might be able to hide it behind a camera or cell phone case, but I carry neither on my belt.A fine product otherwise and to my knowledge is RFID safe.
Good design; permanent marker fixes loop color
April 30, 2015
It has a good pocket design and layout - easy to use. I knocked off a star because of the gray belt loop others have commented on. But I got it to look fine with my black belt by working it over with a wide permanent market pen.

March 19, 2017
I bought this Eagle Creek money belt because my old eagle Creek money belt, though still working perfectly after ten years, needed a face lift I guess. The new belt did NOT have ykk zippers something eagle Creek usually always uses because of ykk's qua!Ity. Was it a knock off? I do not know. You can fit about 500 US dollars in twenty dollars bills in it (I cover them in cut to fit plastic sandwich baggies to prevent tem from getting soaked with persperation, which they will if you do not do this--trust me on this). I also bought a ZERO GRID money belt recently which is about one eighth of an inch wider and the money storage part, about five inches longer. It is over twice the price of the eagle Creek money belt, which is expensive, but worth it I feel. In the Zero Grid money belt you can fit four bundles of twenties US dollars (400 dollars of twenties in each bundle--that is twelve hundred dollars) folded lengthwise and wrapped in thin cut sandwiched baggies). This keeps that amount of money safe from would be thieves ( I sleep with my belt around my waist when I am traveling---better paranoid and safe than pennyless when traveling far from home). And NO I am not in anyway a spokesman for Zero Grid. ( I love eagle Creek products, but I feel the Zero Grid money belt is much better than Eagle Creeks money belt at least for me and my travel needs.) Hope this lengthy summary helps someone.
Great Functionality but Not Durable
June 19, 2016
I loved this belt for traveling or everyday wear. The brown color goes well with jeans or hiking pants. It is lightweight and the buckle is easy to use. I loved this and wore it almost every day during my travels. And then the buckle broke! It just slipped off and after holding on to the strap and buckle for months hoping to find a way to fix it, I finally sadly threw it away. Will miss this belt but probably won't buy again because I do expect a belt to last more than a year.

February 2, 2015
Would rate as fair/okay; web belt fabric seems sturdy enough but buckle (and teeth pinching fabric) appears to be made of plastic) and the end of the belt has no clip over it to prevent fraying over time. I therefore question the durability of this belt over time. Also, belt itself appears to fit up to waist size 38-40; thus a bit tight for me to wear comfortably being 40-42 waist. It does look good, but if your waist size is over 40 I don't recommend you get this belt.
These belts used to be great, now they are barely ok
January 25, 2013
I've owned one of the Eagle Creek all terrain money belts for 5+ years. It has been great and I've used it for travel to Southeast Asia, Argentina, Mexico, and all around the United States, but I've also used it as a daily belt with jeans over the last several years. Some people have said that they dislike the plastic buckle, but that was one of my favorite parts of the original belt. It was nice to be able to go through metal detectors etc at the airport without having to remove my belt and I really liked the infinite adjustability of the original clamp versus the standard belt style with holes for specific waist sizes.Lately, after years of use, the belt fabric material on my original had begun to fray a bit, which makes the buckle a little more difficult to clamp and sometimes it has a tendency to pop open randomly. I have gotten a lot of use out of the belt and I've been very happy with it so I decided to order a replacement. The new belt I recently received has a re-designed buckle that pivots instead of clamps down. Maybe they did this to fix the issues with the clamp and frayed fabric. Unfortunately, this design seems completely inferior since it makes it much more difficult to adjust or remove the belt. The new belt has the same model name as the old style and the Amazon product that I ordered still currently shows a picture of the old style belt clamp. It's unfortunate that Eagle Creek has ruined a good design.

Not for use with thinner fabric pants
August 19, 2017
Seems well enough made and, in theory, it's a sensible idea. One major issue is that it "prints" against thinner pants fabrics irrespective of leg position. This should be alright with jeans, but I don't travel in those so it's a deal-breaker for me.
I love this wallet/ passport rfid blocker
August 12, 2017
I love this wallet/ passport rfid blocker! I only gave it three stars because the main top zipper came off track. I went all over P.I. with this and felt secure with my passport and cash. the zipper seems to be fragile once the material is broken in. I have a friend whom can put a new Zipper on it but wish the zipper was heavier duty.
Not bad, could be better
August 5, 2017
Mine snagged on someone and broke as I was boarding a flight overseas. I had it on my shoulder.I guess if it was inside my pants hidden this wouldn't have happened. If the connecting point (stitching was stronger) where the string meets the pouch, this would be a 5 star product. The service was good though as I requested a return since the product broke.I guess it's worth the money, just don't wear it around your shoulder or on your arm, it will get broken easily if you just brush up against someone lightly.I would give 3.5 but only allows whole stars
Does the job but there are products that are easier and overall better design.
May 28, 2017
It certainly did the job but it was a bit awkward to stuff in my pants and pull out when I needed to access it. I attaching to my belt and stuffing in my pocket but it stuck out of my pocket too much. We ending up using a waist wallet halfway through our trip which worked much better and was less awkward. This product might be good for others but I feel like other options are better.
Not a Great Wallet Replacement
September 6, 2016
I purchased this to use on my first trip out of the US when I was backpacking in China and Japan. I tried using it attached to my belt inside my cargo shorts but honestly it was very annoying when trying to pull it out when I needed it at a restaurant or a shop. Its okay if you were just using it for your passport and never really needed to pull it out. But if you plan to use it as a replacement to a wallet, it doesn't work out well. Just having to keep pulling it out of your pants is just inconvenient and awkward. I ended up just putting it in my buttoned cargo pocket on my shorts and pulling it out as needed from there. Would probably next time use an around the neck one that is water proof too.

November 18, 2015
I like the idea of having a belt loop so that it's easier to get to, but this thing was just too big to be practical. I wear fairly loose pants and a belt, but I still had a hard time getting this in and out. I ended up not using it very much on my last trip. I just did what I normally do by storing my most important stuff in a safe back at the hotel and keeping a modest amount of cash, one credit card and a photo copy of my passport with me in a front pocket.I did use it for travel days through busy train stations in Europe. But I would not want to use it for my passport while traveling through airports, it is just too cumbersome.

August 11, 2016
The internal compartment is too small to hold anything of value - the height of the compartment is 1/3 the height of a dollar bill - try folding your money lengthwise into thirds and see if you can do it (Maybe if you are a street magician you could force a few bills into it). It certainly cannot hold any kind of credit card or government issued ID. Maybe if you had something really long and narrow to hide, or just wanted a place to store a handful of coins, then it might be worth it. Otherwise, I would pass.

Yes it is a money belt with a secret compartment. However, in order to make money fit in it you have have triple fold the bills because its really thin. Also, the quality is somewhat lacking.I got this for my son to wear on a trip to DC and the buckle broke in four days.I guess it will do in a pinch, but there are better products out there.
Metal Zipper sets off security alarms

I bought this belt to avoid the hassle at airport security. This belt with the "plastic buckle" WILL NOT PASS Through security. It happens to have a metal zipper and it sets off the alarm every time.(3 times before we figured it out)Also, I don't like the way the buckle operates. Additionally, the webbing is very long and unless you are very wide, you'll have to cut it and burn the end to keep it from unraveling ........

I wore the old style Eagle Creek buckle for several decades before it broke. This newer design is NOT an improvement, much less secure.
Cheesy and cheaply made.

My husband bought this for some shore excursions. We returned it immediately. We weren't expecting Gucci, but this belt looked even worse in person than it did in the photo. Didn't have a lot of confidence that it would hold up for three days of excursions, let alone hold a few hundred dollars in cash. Refund process was prompt.
BEWARE OF THE NEW CHEAP BUCKLE!
August 31, 2014
They have changed and cheapened the buckle. I've had two of these belts for years and have gone everywhere with them. The original buckle was attached to the belt by overlapping a piece of the belt and sewing it to itself. Very secure. No way that buckle can become detached. New buckle is clamped on to one end, not securely overlapped and sewn. If that clamp breaks or gives out, belt will come off with all your bux in it, and you'll never know. Eagle Creek took a good thing and really cheapened something that is designed for security. You don't compromise on security! I am returning asap.
Not quite what I was hoping for

I was expecting the belt to be a little wider. The pocket on the inside was almost too small to fit anything. I had to force the zipper shut in order to carry a folded up piece of paper.

Great while it worked - zipper not installed to last more than three weeks.

Came on time. Worked great for the three weeks we were in Europe except on the last day when the zipper broke. I would have given if 5 stars if it had lasted longer as it worked well when the zipper wasn't broken. I did not ask for a refund as it was inexpensive.
No neck strap or attachment points?

Product pictured with belt loop and strap, strap and attachment points missing on product
Cheaply made with poor quality fabric, and far from the picture presented on Amazon.

I can get this bag on the streets for far less then US$17.99. I can get this for less than US$10 in Chinatown NYC. I felt I got cheated. Don't buy. Go to your local Marshalls for much better products from Swiss Army for $9.99.

Dear Sirs:I just received my Pocket Vault from Amazon. There was a card inside askingthat I contact you before leaving a negative comment. Although there isnothing you can do about my concern, I thought I would be polite and honoryour request. The Pocket Vault is well made and cleverly designed with its multiplecompartments. As I fully expected (from reading other reviewers' comments)the stored contents are not immediately accessible as this sits inside mypants. That is okay since my prime reason for purchasing your product wasonly to disguise the fact that I have valuables hidden on my person.Unfortunately, it doesn't accomplish this with its grey belt loop. All of mybelts (as I suspect many other people's) are brown leather. The grey beltloop on the Pocket Vault contrasts sharply with my belts advertising that Ihave something hidden inside my pants. If you ever manufacturer a Pocket Vault with a brown or black belt loop, Iwill consider repurchasing one. For now, I will be returning your product toAmazon for a refund.Thank you.Steve-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Dear Steve,After reading your e-mail I had to stop and pause for a minute and really think about what you said. I asked myself, "Wait why didn't we make the loop black"? And to be honest I think it was a major oversight. We were concentrating so hard on the other functions we let this one slip. I'm talking to our engineers now to produce a black loop over the gray.Thank you so much for your input, we really appreciate it.John
