Awesome impact great battery life
August 26, 2017
Very impressed with power of this little impact. Powers lugs off my 05 tundra with ease. Torqued at 100 ft lbs. This will not remove lugs from a 3/4 ton truck still a million uses and my air compressor rarely runs now
Awesome
July 23, 2017
Waited so long to purchase to work on my car and have been kicking myself for not getting it sooner. Takes lugs off so easily and such a time saver
they got a little warm so I was glad I used impact hardened sockets
June 5, 2017
This wrench gets the job done, installed a sway bar on my tundra took those rusted 3 inch bolts out of the trailer hitch with no problem, using tekton hardened adapters, they got a little warm so I was glad I used impact hardened sockets, I snapped a chrome 3/8ths extention loosening one of the bolts, not good enough for these heavy bolts. The battery lasted through the job and didn't even need re charging after I was impressed. Great product! Also the seller delivered on time Perfect delivery!
Great tool, long lasting batteries.

I'm currently working on putting a 5.0L Mustang engine in a Miata, and with the limited space I have, this makes up for the lack of a large air compressor. Disassembly time on the engine was cut in half, and saved my knuckles from getting busted up. The batteries last a very long time as well. Its not as powerful as an air impact would be, but it will still get the lug nuts off of my truck if I give it a few seconds. I went with this one over the other, larger Dewalt impact wrench so I could fit it in smaller spaces, and am glad I did.
Will not disappoint

Classic DeWalt quality in a small package. As a DIY home mechanic, this tool saves me time and elbow grease when perusing the junk yard or servicing my vehicles. Small size allows for use in tight areas--perfect for those of us who do not have a hydraulic lift handy!

Great drill crappy charger
February 28, 2016
Great drill, but very poor quality charger. Have only used the charger a couple of times and now it won't light up and actually charge the battery. The drill is very strong. I use it in place of a tire iron in my paper route cars for the occasional flat tire.
Great Tool
November 13, 2015
Still running good after a few months. Battery holding ok.
quite powerful, but abysmal battery life under heavy use
October 20, 2015
can take off even the most impacted down lug nut after a few seconds, however the battery life goes from 6-8 wheels worth of lugnuts to 4 or less. its only a 1.5 amp hour battery, so its going to have bad battery life anyway. either way, its still a great tool for a great price and it sure beats a ratchet and breaker bar. if you are concerned with battery life, i would recommend getting a corded version.
Cheap, works, but not as strong as advertised
August 12, 2015
I've used this now to do a full tire rotation and it worked pretty well. While it claims up to 240 ftlbs, I found it had a hard time breaking the lugnuts which are torqued to 89. After the first wheel I did a quick break with the iron and then used this the rest of the way. Likewise, retorquing the lugs resulted in a final measurement of roughly 80 ftlbs and I had to use my regular torque wrench for the last ten pounds. The battery held up just fine for a total of ten cycles of five lugs on and off and was as strong at the end as the beginning. Since this is the first usage I'll update down the road regarding battery life or any other issues.
Excellent service
June 27, 2015
I don't know whether the wrench is the highest quality wrench I could get my hands on, but I'm only using it on my scooter and not very often. If you are purchasing this for a heavy duty purpose, I have no advice for you. What I will say and why I am rating it in the first place is that when I ordered it, it was delivered promptly. I appreciate that.
Both my brother and son told me that I needed a more expensive one but this worked great! I can charge it up
October 20, 2014
I got this to lower the jacks on my camper. Both my brother and son told me that I needed a more expensive one but this worked great! I can charge it up, throw it in the storage bin of the camper, use it on arrival and stow it again in the case. Then, when I'm ready to break the campsite, I can pull it out and voila! All done with one charge.

Solid tool, a little light on muscle.

Solid unit, the light is bright, the batteries hold a pretty impressive charge, my only complaint is the torque isn't nearly what I expected it to be.

Battery charger went bad in about a year. Can't buy a replacement charger. You have to buy a new kit.
Torqu and battery are meh
December 31, 2015
Does not have the torque power I expected. Battery life is crap. I bought to use while changing the ball joints and it could not crack the nuts loose; I ended up doing it manually.
So far so good. For light predictable use, this should do the trick for probably a year or two.
December 2, 2015
Has proven effective so far. The case comes with enough free space to store some parts, bolts, lugs, etc.The battery is the worst part so far. There are STRANGE instructions that come with it. I suppose there's no overcharge protection because it states to not charge it for more than 3 hours at a time. Well, so much for my plans that involve leaving the house.Even with this considered, it has lasted through several light uses and managed to get the job done every time when properly charged. I would say it would be good to keep in your trunk to get lug nuts off quick, but that probably is not the case. My battery did not hold a charge more than a couple days after being last plugged in. Figuring that out was quite the disappointment and frustration.

September 8, 2015
not bad. doesn't have quite the power I was hoping for, It wont break loose those nuts or bolts that are really tight that a double hammer neumatic would knock off but has much more power than you pay for. I think it's a bargain. don't rely on it to tighten lug nuts to spec. the lug will need another good turn to be tight enough. However, it'll zip that lug nut right into place quickly and tight enough to put the torque on it with a lug wrench which is the best way to do it anyway. Other bolts around the vehicle and home came off with ease with this unit. I'm happy with its performance!
Works great, hits like a dewalt
April 15, 2015
Works great, hits like a dewalt. Keep an eye on how long you let the battery charge, it doesn't shut off. I would suggest just letting it charge 3-4 hours and take it off or it will kill the battery.

Small but want more power.
April 14, 2016
I ike it for its compactness, Price and the fact you get two batteries . It has a decent amount of power for what it is. Like others I bought it mainly to remove Lugnuts. My 2007 jeeps lugs are torqued to 100 foot-pounds. This imapct could not even break one with a full charge. Comparing it to my harbor freight 18 V the power is comparable. Max Breaking torque around 80 foot-pounds. Tightening around 50 foot-pounds for both impacts. I decided to exchange it for the 899B1 which is more powerful.

... wrench based on the reviews stating this model was good enough to use for tire rotations
December 16, 2014
I purchased this impact wrench based on the reviews stating this model was good enough to use for tire rotations. I disagree. I had a difficult time using this impact to remove the lugs from my Jeep. The majority of the lugs came off but it required hard pressure against the wheel(100lbs) for the lugs to even start loosening. It definitely required more effort than I thought and took 5-10 seconds for each lug to start moving. I was also unable to remove(80 lbs)4 out of 6 my body mount bolts from my Jeep to install my ACE rock sliders and resorted to regular hand tools.

It is useless so DO NOT BUY
May 16, 2017
I bought this impact driver to remove blades on my Z turn lawnmower. I worked the first year. I only change blades once a year.. I used it the second year and it would not remove the nut so I had to remove by hand. I thought it may have been misthreaded nut. I tried using it recently, aka 5/15/17 and it did not slipped and did not impact to remove the nut. It now only works as a drill. It is useless so DO NOT BUY. I would give it less than a one if possible. I should take some pictures to show you how unused and new looking it is.
Weak and useless
July 6, 2016
Horrible tool - I cannot tell whether it was broken or just weak. The one I bought was spinning free with almost no torque and could only spin off pre-loosened fasteners. I had to resort back to my 12V emergency torque wrench. I presume this is one of the cases where you indeed get what you've paid for. I torque all my lug nuts myself so I knew that the one on the car were 90 ft/lbs and the lawn mower blade was a mere 45. None of which could even be remotely removed despite a hell of a noise generated by the tool. I can also confirm the problems of other reviewers regarding the proper seating of your impact sockets: most of mine were sitting loose, some even to the point of wobbling.
Does not last
June 16, 2016
I purchase this product in September 2015 and used it 5 times, however, each time used it was weaker. I believe that this is due to the battery, which does not seem to recharge properly. Today on it's 5th use, and after several hours of charging, the battery was weak and could maintain enough charge remove a hand tightened bolt. Now, I am stuck with a tool that does not work. There is no warranty details available on the site.
Warning! - DO NOT BUY!
January 27, 2016
Do not buy this product!Does not fit 1/2" sockets that I have - gave it as a gift and only found out later when a friend and I tried to use it together. By that time it was past amazon's return date on electrical items. Do not buy this item - worthless to me unless I take a grinding wheel to it, and then I might be compromising the strength of the tool - leaving myself open to things failing and possibly hurting someone. I'd give it zero stars if I could.
Not for Cars
August 22, 2015
Does not deliver as it states. Looks good, feels nice in your hands. The anvil is not too heavy, but if I have to use a breaker bar for this to work I can use my impact drill or a regular drill to loosen and tighten if Im going to use the breaker bar and the beginnig or the end. I need something that would beast my lug nuts off and on without a breaker bar. I was excited to use this. I saw a review on you tube. Im assuming they must of had the lugs loose already. My lugs and car arent old or rusty and I took them off and on the day before with a breaker bar and impact drill just fine. Definitely not 240 ft lbs of torque and defintiely not a satisfied customer.

For the price I tough it could do better job, NOT able to get lugs off any car or truck, just good for small spaces when doing suspension work other than that hope there is other better than this one
Lack of power
December 19, 2015
I purchased this impact for the sole purpose of bolting water main fittings together. 90 -100 ft lbs is what I need to achieve proper torque specs. This impact is supposed to reach 150 max. I doubt if it gets to 65 ft lbs. I like the tool just dissapointed in the performance.
Recycled batteries?

Hoping I can get a new one..just opened mine and saw it came with recycled batteries? Pulled the trigger to make sure it worked and immediately could smell something burning. This is my third set from Amazon and never had an issue.

Building a deck and using to tighten 3/8" carriage bolts. Motor burned up after only 10 nuts were drawn tight. Not very satisfied at all!! Called Dewalt and the closest Factory service repair is an hour from the house. This should be covered under warranty and replaced/repaired for free.
