LOVE THEM!
February 14, 2017
These are the most beautiful natural sandstone coasters I've ever seen. I purchased two sets for a wedding gift and about to or myself a couple of sets. They come well packed and quickly. I really can't express how impressed I am with these. I would recommend them to anyone...for either yourself or as a gift. So, so attractive.
Beautiful durable coasters absorb water
November 2, 2016
Beautiful sandstone coasters, they absorb moisture if a drink sweats, unlike some coasters that just sit wet all day. They are of a durable quality and don't seem like they would break if you dropped it. Cork bottom to keep it from scratching any furniture. This is my second time buying Thirsty Stone coasters (I'm a return customer) because after 8 years I decided I needed a second set!
They soak up lots of condensation
October 3, 2016
These stones have held up well and can absorb all the condensation cast off by a 20 oz. glass of iced tea refilled frequently over several hours on a July afternoon in the US South. They are dense and offer an excellent opportunity to scratch/damage furniture or countertops. I would also keep them out of reach of small children. The cork pad on the bottom is about a quarter inch short of the edge of the stone, so careful placement is required on glass tabletops.Overall very happy with these coasters.
Highly recommended
August 28, 2016
These coasters are the real deal. I finally had to retire the set I'd bought years ago and tried to replace them with less expensive ceramic products that were attractive and looked like they might work. They didn't absorb condensation and the water spread all over the place and the glasses picked up the coasters because they were so wet. I bought these Thirsty Stone coasters and they're great, even in Florida humidity. Highly recommended.

Absolutely wonderful! These coasters absorb like nobody's business! Everyday, I sit a frozen 32oz plastic water bottle on it (indoors). The ice melts throughout the day and not a single drop spills over onto my desk. Even with all that it absorbs, Its smooth surface remains in tact and it's dry and ready to go the next morning. I'm pleased with my purchase...money well spent!
Sandstone Coasters Absorb Moisture Better Than Cheap Alternatives
July 29, 2016
These coasters work wonderfully to keep moisture off of your coffee table. The porous material absorbs moisture easily and effectively. The sand stone also looks great on a variety of table top surfaces. It looks great on our black coffee table. I like how the coasters are decently heavy and not flimsy. Spend the extra $ and get these coasters instead of the cheaper ones. You won't be sorry.

OXO does it again - great design and function
August 20, 2017
These coasters appealed to me, since they were OXO brand. Most OXO products seem to have superior design and function compared to many of their competitors. Am using these at work (three altogether, all different colors). When I put my metal water bottle on the coaster, it cushions the sound very well. I like the variety of colors (saw some that were all grey or all black, which is fine, but I thought a splash of color was better). One nice feature is that you can use BOTH sides (with other similar coasters that I own, you can only use one). The little indentation in the middle, and the asymmetrical raised surface are great at keeping moisture in check. Would recommend, and would buy again. Bravo, OXO!
Washable!
July 16, 2017
Replaced stoneware coasters that cannot be properly washed. These are the OXO black silicone that you may be used to on many of their kitchen utensils, they are scored to take drips, can be washed easily and we like them. Only downside is that, being black, they are not always easily seen on your tables, etc. I got 2 packs of them because we liked them so much.
Non-slip and concave for your safe glassware use. Perfect for the office!!!
April 11, 2017
These are really good coasters. I have a stand up desk at work. Sometimes it is up at standing position sometimes it is down at sitting position. I like having coasters all around me instead of one which I would just keep moving around to accommodate which position I am in. Reasonably priced and a quality product. Truly it is non-slip and I like how the middle is concave a little bit. I definitely recommend.
Dual-purpose

Good coasters and baby teething toys, A+.
Functional and effective if not the most attractive
May 26, 2015
Granted these aren't stylish as some stone or wood coasters you could purchase but these are functionally superior. We tired of having our stone coasters stick to the bottom of cups and glasses from the accumulated condensation only to plummet to the floor or table and leave a scratch or ding. We use these on top of the other coasters and they do not adhere to the bottom instead collecting the condensation in their recesses. You can toss them in the dishwasher if they get dirty (without the high heat drying cycle). They don't necessarily look bad but I would say they are certainly geared more to function than form which is more important to me when it comes to protecting my furniture and floors.
Just what I wanted
May 28, 2014
These arrived today and I am so happy with them. With the warmer weather I was finding that even insulated mugs had condensation that dripped on the surface. I have to disagree with another reviewer who said they did not hold "sweat" from a drink but for me they sure have. I have had a large drink bottle of iced tea on the same coaster on my nightstand for the last 7 hours and and haven't had to empty the coaster or clean up under it yet. I'd say that's pretty good. I also like the fact that although the container is "sweating" a lot today because it is very humid here, the coaster doesn't stick to the bottom of the container. I usually have a drink on my night table at night and I don't anticipate a problem but if there is, I will amend this review. I have been very satisfied with Oxo Good products in general which was why I ordered this brand. Besides, you get a set of 8 coasters which is a very reasonable price if you are looking for something for everyday practical use as compared to fancy coasters you might want to provide to guests.

April 25, 2017
I purchased these coasters to replace silicone ones that I purchased previously that did not work as advertised because the honeycomb mold on the base is not deep enough to take condensation from glasses away from the glass bottom and as a result, the glass dripped large amounts of water on you when drinking. After only a few uses of these sandstone coasters, it was obvious these would do a much better job, as they absorb the moisture and take it away from the glass bottoms. They may chip easier, but they perform better for use in warm climates where condensation from cold drinks accumulates on the bottom of glasses and on the coasters.
These look neat and are good at absorbing condensation
January 21, 2017
These look neat and are good at absorbing condensation. There's cork glued to the bottom to prevent scratches, but you still need to be a bit careful about it because the cork doesn't cover the entire bottom, and sandstone will scratch pretty much any surface (even glass).
Beautiful and functional
January 14, 2017
These reside on our coffee table and we use them everyday. Soaks up all the condensation from cold drinks. Holding up well, even with cats that try to play hockey with them.
and they also literally do suck up any water from a glass' condensation
December 29, 2015
I bought these for my stepmother. Her coasters were chipped from being dropped so many times (they would stick to the drinks and fall off onto the table). These coasters are too heavy to do that, and they also literally do suck up any water from a glass' condensation. The only problem is the photo is not very true-to-life. The photo makes the swirls almost look pearlescent, but in reality these coasters have a sandy texture/color/quality. Aside from that, fantastic quality.
Expensive, but you get what you pay for
December 15, 2015
Good coasters, nice to look at. I've read reviews that they lose color over time. I can't speak to that, since I've only had them for about 6 weeks. They haven't lost color yet, but I've made rings on them, which is to be expected. I gave them four stars instead of five because I paid more for them than I planned to spend on coasters. But there's no hiding quality.
They absorb the water just like they should. Love them!
October 26, 2015
These are great. They look and feel natural. They do exactly what they say they are to do. Someone at my house got something on one of mine though and I have no idea what it is but it now has a few white rings on it (seemingly permanently) which I'm not happy about. Not knowing what it is though causes a conundrum because I don't know if it's a manufacture mistake or defect. I still recommend them, just use them for what they are meant to be used for, or else who knows.

cute colors, serve their purpose, however water just collects on top and is not absorbed, so if you move the coaster, you'll end up making a mess despite trying to avoid it.
Almost perfect.
February 14, 2016
I use these coasters in my work cubicle to protect my desk surface. They are fine for regular size vessels, but oversize mugs and cups will not fit these. They are *flexible". Like others in the Midwest, I notice some significant liquid during the warm month(s). They do not come with a holder, but they stack very well. And they are LIGHT. Would be a great gift, especially if you'd like to keep them compact and light (because your backpack/suitcase deserves to spend that space and weight...

January 24, 2016
Finally there are coasters which do not stick to the bottom of the glass! I wouldlike to have had them in brown, but only found them in black. They are the most functional coasters we have ever had and I will purchase them again in another color when made available.
Good coasters, just not "the best"
June 27, 2014
I am really happy with these coasters, but the depth of the recesses just isn’t deep enough. If they would have only put those on one side of the coaster, these would go from good to great. Basically I wanted something to help prevent my glasses from getting suctioned to the coaster. These do the trick, but either side just don’t hold as much run-off as I wish they would. Not un-happy, but not ecstatic either.
Good Coasters
August 3, 2013
I like features of coasters such as non slip and grooves. Grooves soak up sweating from glass and I find glasses do not stick to coaster when you pick them up. My only reason for deducting 1 star is size, I wish they were just a little larger. They are same size as bottom of glass (particularly stemware) so you have to be very careful to put glass on center of coaster so it doesn't tip.
Black coasters
August 4, 2012
These are great general purpose coasters. This was my 3rd set after the green and brown ones. They're kind iof funky in that industrial chic sort of way. They're flexible, so they adjust to uneven surfaces and keep glasses/cups very stable. They're textured in such a way that the water that rolls off 'sweating' glasses pools up and stays in the coaster, rather than running all over the table. I wouldn't use them for fancy entertaining, but, short of that, they're constantly in use in my house.

the richness of the stone in the picture is much better than what you actually receive
October 1, 2017
As many others said, the richness of the stone in the picture is much better than what you actually receive. I just received mine today and I had to double check to make sure the right coasters was shipped. I love Thirstystone coasters and there is nothing wrong with the quality of the product I received, but its just too plain and light. Cant really even notice any design in the stone.Guess its my fault for ordering a natural looking stone rather than the printed coasters like the ones I ordered the first time. Guess I will just place a order for one of the printed sets of coasters.
Just okay.
January 3, 2017
The description is more accurate than the picture. The coasters are definitely not as pretty as the picture and they are a little bit more "rough" feeling than I was expecting. But.. they do the job.

November 11, 2016
These coasters are very pretty. All the coasters are pretty much the same design. They absorb water, but if you leave a glass with ice water on them for any period of time they become waterlogged and make a mess on the table. That is the only negative I have.

September 28, 2016
Okay color, but not really. The picture depicts something more rich looking, however, what I received was not as rich looking in the pattern. Oh well, I still needed them, and absolutely am a fan of sandstone coasters to absorb dripping droplets.
Now these coasters will do the job but i just wished that they looked a little better especially for the price
April 25, 2016
The coasters are ok the pictures can be deceiving a little as when i received these they were more faded than i would have expected. The picture makes them look polished and smooth which is something i didn't receive. Now these coasters will do the job but i just wished that they looked a little better especially for the price.
Nice but mine had visual flaws.
October 24, 2015
The way the stone absorbs water is very cool, The stone is thick and looks nice sitting on a table or desk---like a premium coaster. However, 2 of the coasters they sent me had flaws in them, one had a "stain" (a dark patch that looks the stone was stained with a dark ink or something) and the other hand a hairline fracture in it. Because these are natural stone, I guess you can't expect perfection, but because they are so hard to return, they probably offload the bad ones through Amazon. Be careful.

These coasters are OK - soft, flexible, light-weight, and portable
September 18, 2017
Pack of 8, silicone coasters by OXO. The coasters are approximately 3.5" in diameter and available in an assortment of colors. The coasters are also reversible, dishwasher-safe, and feature a concave, grooved pattern on both sides to hold condensation. These coasters are soft, flexible, light-weight, and portable. They aren't particularly attractive (they look very industrial to me), but do an OK job of protecting surfaces and capturing condensation. However, note that these coasters aren't very deep so they do not capture a ton of liquid. In addition, one of our rescue cats is fascinated with them and loves eating (?!) them. After successfully chewing up a few, we decided to store these away.
They look nice and simple but don't function very well
September 11, 2016
They look nice and simple but don't function very well. When I put a coffee cup the steam goes through to the coffee table. No much different as if I didn't have a coaster. With cold beverages it works as excpected.
disappointed in the design
June 18, 2014
I own a similar set of silicone coasters and was hoping these would be a solid choice to replace my old coasters. Got these and noticed they were not as solid as my old coasters, these are flimsy and feel like they weigh about an ounce or two. The flap around like a plastic bag in the wind when you pick them up, they are as limp as overcooked pasta. These coasters are also a bit smallr in diameter and have an awful concave design that can tip over your glass if you're not careful. Basically the edge of the coaster is thinker than the middle with the design and when you place a cup on the coaster in the center it sinks a bit. If you have one edge of your cup on the coasters edge and the other side in the middle the glass can tip over slightly if it's full. This design totally stinks, and I do not recommend you get these unless you have very petite glasses and cups.
Functionality is flawless, but they're so floppy
March 5, 2014
The rubber is strong, very grippy, the grid pattern collects moisture from the glass very well. The size is just right for everything but oversized mugs or bowls. But I didn't expect these to be so floppy! From the pictures and descriptions I thought these would be a rubber-like coating over cardboard or plastic or something along those lines. But you can fold these in half, twice! You can roll them up like crepes! From the standpoint of pure function, no coaster set will be better until they design some that can defy gravity. But they give off a feeling of being disposable products, and I'd feel awkward asking guests to put their wine glasses on them. That may sound like I'm putting on airs, and I won't deny it at all. I feel like asking anyone to use coasters instead of napkins in the first place is a bit snooty, so it would be weird to then hand them these sad, saggy car tire things.Pros:Great at staying putCollects moisture, keeps it off the table surfaceVery easy to cleanBuilt to lastPrice is niceCons:Looks and feels cheapNot classy
A good idea, not executed well.
October 10, 2013
While the design for these has some good ideas, there are also a couple significant drawbacks.Positives: the concave tread design does hold some of the "sweat" from glasses of cold drinks and keeps it from getting on your surface. It also prevents the coaster from sticking to your drink (hot or cold).Negatives: They are much flimsier than I had pictured. Very thin/floppy. Also, while the design does hold some of the "sweat" from cold drinks, it doesn't hold much of it. When I use one for a large glass of ice water, the condensation pools in the coaster and drips off the glass when I pick it up to drink. The floppiness makes it a bit tricky to pick them up to empty them in the sink without spilling the condensation on whatever surface you're trying to protect.Overall, these are decent coasters with some good ideas in regards to tread design. However, they would be much better if they were a bit thicker and less floppy. This would also give them a greater capacity to hold condensation.
Better than stone, but not great
September 6, 2012
Summary: These coasters work; they protect the table. They don't work well; the glass sits in a puddle and drips when lifted.I drink a lot of ice water. I use a classic shape beer pint glass made out of plastic. I like a lot of ice; I nearly fill the glass with ice and then add water. I have been using slate coasters for years. Sometime ago I got tired of having condensation drip off the coaster onto the table. I started putting a terry washcloth on the coaster. That solved the water problems. However, it was not attractive so I started to look for a better solution. The OXO Good Grip coasters are not the perfect solution. The OXO Good Grips coasters are made out of a hydrophobic material; they do not wet easily. The coasters' hydrophobicity and the water's surface tension inhibit the liquid from draining into the coasters' grooves; most of the water sits on top of the grooves. Therefore, the coasters do not hold nearly as much water as they might. Furthermore, the glass sits in a puddle of water and when I lift and tip it to drink, the water drips off onto my chest.I will continue to use them; they protect my tables better than slate coasters. I will continue to look for a better solution; I don't like water dripping onto my chest.I've only had the coasters a couple of days. I will report back if their performance improves after more use and washing.

Not great
June 18, 2017
Love the look but these just don't soak up moisture like the others do. I've had three or four Thirstystine sets and these just aren't that great. Love the look though!!
Not at all as Pictured!
December 2, 2016
Very disappointed in the product. The coasters I received looked nothing like the picture the four were more of a red color with straight lines running through. I am sure they will absorb any moisture, but they are too ugly to use! They were packaged well and delivered as promised, they just look nothing like the picture.

The color is very pink and it doesn't look like the wood grain in the photo. Not what I expected at all.
The cork underside left permanent stain on table.
January 26, 2016
After much work I finally finished a Big furniture project and it came out perfect. French Country, beautiful chalk finish which even though I sealed with a matt poly I still insisted on using coasters in there. My daughter came for the weekend and actually Used the coasters I bought and to my Horror the cork from the gd coaster STAINED the night table!!I tried multiple cleaners on it and it won't budge even a fraction and I'll have to paint it since anything stronger to remove the stain would just ruin the table anyways. This is a first for me, I've used stone coasters for years because I hate it when I pick up a glass and a coaster sticks to the bottom of the glass then will fall and crash half way up to taking a swig and scare the...But a coaster that Stains? Yep, a first.
Works if the cup doesn't have any condensation.

Great if you like your drinks to have their own personal swimming pools.
October 16, 2014
Initially we thought these coasters were good. The design is nice, however as soon as you put a cold drink on a coaster you've got a small swimming pool sitting on the coaster. Then you pick your drink up and the glass drips everywhere. We ended up returning these for some absorbent coasters.
Good and bad
June 12, 2014
The good is that they don't slip or slide around the table because they are rubber. The bad is that they don't absorb any of the "sweat" from the glass... because they are rubber. Yes they catch some of it and prevent your glass from leaving a ring on your table, but you have to shake the coaster out each time you use it to get the water off of it. Not my favorite design.
Not the usual Good Grips Quality
November 16, 2013
These were a real disappointment for me. The diameter is a little small for most cups and mugs. You have to really watch when you put the cup on them to get them centered or you risk a spill. And they are very floppy. It wasn't worth the trouble to return them but I feel Good Grips missed the mark on this item.
Works but not wide enough
November 20, 2011
I'm a big fan of OXO products so I bought this without reading the fine print, drawing out on a sheet of paper how wide 3.5" really is, etc. So I'm certainly not saying OXO mis-represented the product. That being said, the coasters are not wide enough for wider mugs and cups. It's frustraing because most other coasters are wider. The material to make the coaster has very low variable cost - just make it wider!

Dishonest image
October 24, 2016
The image chosen for this product, at least as of 10/24/16, is deeply dishonest about the product you are almost certainly going to get.It might be alright with you (and it's really not a deal-breaker for me), but just beware that you are going to get very plain-patterned light beige coasters. You can roll the dice if you like, but you are not going to get any kind of swirly, almost 3D waves on your coasters.Because the vendor surely knows this, and chose that image anyway, I'm one-starring this.

The glass condensation runs right through the coaster. When I first received these I was so excited because they looked nice and matched my decor, but I quickly realized they weren't as described; the top of my table, which I have had for 20 years mark free, had a perfectly round white ring on it.

December 31, 2015
Disappointing, as I consider Oxo a premier brand. As these are made of silicone, the water builds up until it runs over the side of the coaster, so there's no true benefit to using these.
Small and flimsy!
March 31, 2015
Would give NO stars if I could! They are very thin and flimsy and about 1/2 inch smaller than the average coaster size, and condensation builds underneath them. Do not waste your money!
Disappointed
July 27, 2014
Condensation collects on the raised surface. This leaves the bottom of the glass wet. I'll keep a folded paper towel over them during our humid season. They are good looking so I'll continue to use.
Rubber mats are a design fail
July 25, 2014
While I love OXO, these just don't work well at all. All condensation pools in a puddle on these, then it sticks to your glass and the water goes everywhere anyway. We'll be looking for something else. All rubber mats look great but aren't very good coasters.
Not a Practical and Neat Product
January 6, 2014
It fails as a coaster because it is the texture of these coasters are terrible, and that together with small size make it difficult to place your drinks on it. Had this product been made of wood it would be an OK product.
