Really like the look and function of these coasters. The design is perfect and looks sharp and recognizable. No matter what you put on these things they soak up any condensation that is produced. Only wish they would have fit the coaster holder we already had, they are just a bit bigger. Very happy with these coasters and would highly recommend them.

These are a good size, love the colors, work perfectly for any size drink & they look very "worldly" :)

Bought these after I bought some that didn't absorb the moisture. These are much better. Got a set for my son also.

This is an excellent coaster holder. I love the look of it and it was a great price! Mine came in perfect condition and seems like it's going to hold up just fine. I love that it puts the coasters more "on display". Most coaster holders I see do fine at organizing and keeping the coasters all in one place, but don't show them off enough. I have gorgeous coasters that I want people to see even if they aren't being used! So this solved that problem for me. One thing to mention is that I didn't pay close enough attention and thought that this would hold 4.5" coasters. IT DOES NOT. But that was my fault, not the product's. And it gave me an excuse to buy more coasters. :)

Work well and fit nicely. Colors are good. However, the finish is a bit rough so if that matters, take note. Dark deep brown.

I was very please with the the look of it. It held the sand stones coasters I also ordered snugly. It stands out and definitely invites people to use it on my coffee table.

No pools of liquid from glass sweat. 4 of 5 because sometimes a glass grips on then the coaster falls. Doesn't happen a lot but one cracked. Note: Still works and barely notice the crack after superglue.

Much better choice than the mosaic thirsty stone coasters. these are actually absorbent. Unlike the Mosaic type which have too much paint on the top to be useful.

Very nice design!! I'm very happy that they're absorbent with cork on the back. Wish they would've shipped to Canada though. I had to send them to an address in the states :(

Not well made but they display my coasters beautifully. This one looked better than the reddish one I ordered. The coasters I bought said 4 1/4 inch diameter but they don't fit snuggly in them. It does hold the coaster up so you can view them when not in use but could have been made better.

Beautiful stand that adds instant class to a coffee table ! Gorgeous wood! High quality felt. But why is there only room for three coasters?

The product works fine. However, it shouldn't be necessary to buy as a separate item. It should. E packaged with coasters that don't come with their own holder.It's annoying, it created extra work for me, and I felt nickeled and dimed that I had to go out of my way to find and buy this. The company needs to make a deal where this item is rolled in/packed with coaster sets that need a holder.Good product, but imperfect business model.

I ordered these on a whim and didn't read the description. It is only the coaster holder, you will need to buy the coasters separately. They are very nice and do the job well. I ended up ordering the sandstone coasters that are shown in the picture and I like them as well.

This holder pairs perfectly with my round Thirstystone natural sandstone coasters. The holder itself is offset from the base for a very modern look. It has a dark wood finish and is felted on the bottom. I docked one star because the three pieces of wood (base, backing, half-moon holder) are not aligned perfectly, but this is only noticeable upon close inspection. Amazon's price is definitely cheaper than in the box stores, but perhaps some quality was compromised for this price. If you can live with that (I can), this is a very nice way to spotlight the beautiful stone coasters.

I ordered this as a gift along with some of the Thomas Kinkade Thirstystone coasters. The coasters are beautiful and the coaster holder does a nice job of displaying them. The dark walnut color looks very close (if not identical) to the pictures shown and works out well even with other color/types of wood. The holder is sturdy and stable and takes up little table space. I did notice a small bit of damage on the backside, which imho was not really bad enough or noticeable enough to be concerned with, but it was there.I originally planned to order the oak version of this stand but read several reviews that made the color come in to question which is why I went with the dark walnut, that said, the dark walnut works fine for me along side oak and pine furniture as really the focus is on the coasters being displayed and the holder kinda just fades in to the background.Quick last note, someone mentioned a made in China sticker on the holder, it was on this one too, although I don't recall it actually specifying the country of origin in the listing.All in all, fits and displays the Thristystone coasters really nicely and I'm pretty happy with it for it's $8 price tag.

These are sturdy coasters that work well enough. I wish the design was a little less cheap-looking, but otherwise these work just fine.

Each coaster is a slightly different color. I didn't really like that. And they dobt fit in any holders.

The coasters are made of what feels like fairly heavy ceramic, they look great, and have a cork bottom so they won't damage glass tables or wooden desks. The issue I have is that only 1 of the 4 actually absorbs water, the other 3 repel water like they were soaked in oil. Leave a cup of ice water on them overnight & you'll have a pool of water in the morning.

They're very pretty, but "absorbent" not so much. They're made, supposedly, by the same folks that make those natural-wave-patterned sandstone coasters, which really are absorbent and, being into geology, I find dead cool. Think "the Wave" in Utah (google if it's unfamiliar). Anyway, the surface on these map coasters is smooth. For me, the condensation collects at the bottom and gets between the glass and the coaster. This forms a suction between them which, remarkably, is just strong enough that you can get the coaster a couple feet off the table before it lets go, the coaster then continuing on its now-independent arc until it impacts the floor, the table top, your date's forehead, whatever. So far, no serious damage but I'm thinking I've got to fix this somehow.

The coasters are nice, but they don't actually fit in the coaster stand. They are too big for it. Strange.

So I don't know if the problem is with the coasters, or the pedestal that I purchased for them, but they don't fit in the pedestal. You would think that if you buy coasters and holder from the same company there wouldn't be this issue!

It's okay, but I found I prefer the one that is round and flat rather than the stand-up style. This look is less minimalist looking as it stands out much more, so I'd recommend the other style if you care about this feature.

I love the stand, but although the product picture shows the holder fitting 4-inch sandstone coasters, the curve in the holder I received was made too tight so the coasters would not lie flat inside the curve. Very disappointing - I returned these and Amazon refunded my purchase price very quickly.

The Pedestal Coaster Holder 'displays' the decorative coasters in Style! It looks like a decorative furnishing, not just a storage rack for beverage coasters. Excellent!But it's too small for the Thirstystone coasters I ordered which rest on the sides of the stand rather than in the well of the holder.

This Coaster Holder wasn't very expensive... so the quality is not going to be like a $30 coaster holder. The finish of the wood is not completely smooth around the edge of the bottom... the stain didn't get stained all the way underneath the back of holder right behind the little triangle piece that is glued to give it the slanted look. Sure the bottom round piece that holds the coasters is not smooth with out ridges where it looks like they put pieces of wood together... so it looks like some seams. But it's underneath the curve of the coasters... and who's looking that close underneath of the coasters... when you have such stunning Thirstystone coasters in the holder. I wasn't going to complain... for the price I paid... you get what you pay for.

as cool as these are they are not absorbent. condensation builds up on the printed coating, your glass sticks to it and the coaster stays with the glass(or cup/bottle) and drops off ultimately breaking. buy something actually absorbent or know you will be breaking these frequently.

I bought the Pedestal Coaster Holder,Dark Walnut together with these coasters as it was featured as a set on Amazon. The coasters are too big for the holder and do not fit. These coasters should be sold together with a holder as a set.

Just received my order yesterday. One of the coasters was completely cracked. Not too thrilled.

Surprised at how thin these coasters were. They look good but not worth the price. I'm afraid that if they fall they would break. Not what I am looking for in a coaster.

After awhile the coasters stick to the glass, chopped a few of them because of it.

Very disappointed in these coasters. The picture makes them look gorgeous! I'd have loved them had they looked remotely like the pic. The picture shows vibrant colors and readable lettering on them. This is not the case. They are very bland colors all blending together. As far as the stone they're made from, that's fine. But any stone coaster is about the same really. The only difference is the design or picture on them. I purchased these because my sister loves old maps. I'm not saying they won't get used, but I sure wasn't expecting something so bland and plain to arrive!

Unfortunately this coaster holder is too small for your set of normal coasters. While the product itself is wildly appealing...I hate that it's too small for my coasters.

I experienced the same "gapping" issue mentioned in other posts. The coasters would get stuck and actually pick up the holder (and the other three coasters!) And I almost dropped it twice because of this. I am awaiting a replacement currently and will update when I receive it.

Didn't read the description lol. This is just a holder for coasters. That's not why I'm giving it a 2 star tho. They are very cheaply made. Cracks all over them and looks like it needs glued in some places.

It's just okay. Not as crisp of an image or as pretty as I expected.

Stones are pretty, and arrived fast, but we're piddling water I first day.

I don't even know where to begin on this junk. The picture makes it look all nice. What I got was a bunch of rough wood slapped together with glue all over everything and then spray painted to look like a walnut wood color. If you take any pride whatsoever in your home and have any respect for your money I would not buy

Does not hold the coasters in it. Coasters stick up & don't fully lay in place like they should. Cheaply made. Not worth buying.

Total disappointment. Too small to actually fit the coasters I purchased -- It was marketed to me under the "People who bought this also bought..." feature of shopping on Amazon. Total waste of money. DO NOT BUY THIS.

You should trust the negative reviews of this product. It doesn't fit a normal size coaster. Even if it was the right size it is sloppily glued togeather. It does not look like the photo and it is certainly not worth the $7 I paid for it.

I just bought 3 sets of genuine Thirstystone 4" coasters in 2 patterns, and 3 of these genuine Thirstystone holders to hold them. The coasters should fit, right? Nope. Coasters only fit into 1 of the 3 holders that I received. The other two won't allow the coasters to seat into the half-cirlce holder; they bind at the corners of the opening, and can't sit in the holder. They would be fine if the were big enough to hold the very coasters that they were designed to hold, but as they are now, they're not built correctly.

Granted, it wasn't too expensive to begin with, but I was still hoping it would be nice. Not only were the edges jagged and rough, but the felt was peeling off as I took it out of the box. I could have dealt with those things, but hey.....the coasters don't even fit in it.
