Great Glamping Tent!
September 21, 2017
I don't know how they did it but when this thing is erected and decorated, I'm not kidding, it looks like the inside of an apartment. I use it for my glamping business and when people unzip the door, they get this big smile, look at me and then disappear inside. I've used 10' x 14' tents a lot but the one extra foot on this one (10' x 15') makes more than a little difference. I'd gotten used to the 10 x 14's with doors on the ends and wasn't sure I'd like the door situated on the the sides. It's changed the way I look at tents. I thought I'd lose floor space plus I had my decorating scheme downpat with doors on the ends - now I'm eyeballing tents with the offset door on the side because of this tent. The only thing I'd improve is a way to hold back the unzipped curtain at the current level AND a higher level. You have to kinda duck toward the middle to avoid the curtain. In my other tents, the dividing curtain fastens to the roof of the tent which means rolling yards of silky material into a long roll - kinda like trying to turn a double bed sized flat sheet into a long sausage. The Browning curtains more elegantly split in the middle and like drapery, gather and tuck on the sides. I just would like a tuck about head level and hip level just to get it out of the way.The tents held up to months of being in the outdoors. It's protected by trees on all sides so no issue about the sun fading the color. It's undergone flash flooding and winds up to 40 mph without so much as a drop inside. The floor is of thicker material than other tents I've owned. Apparently it's not mildew resistant but I'm not sure it's advertised as such. I treated it with mildew root killer treatment and it's back to its pretty yellow, creme and brown colors. (Photo by Kelly Stewart)
We are very pleased with the performance of this tent
August 9, 2016
Thus far this tent is everything we hoped it would be. It is large enough that we fit 2 adults on an air mattress and 5 children with room for our gear. My husband is 6'5" and had no problem standing and moving around in the tent. Our first trip out it rained as happens in the Pacific Northwest, but we were cozy and dry despite 3 days of rain. It poured rain over 2 nights and our friends ended up leaving early because they got flooded in their tents. When we packed up we noticed a small puddle in one corner of the tent (maybe the size of a half-dollar) and a little moisture on the floor of the tent (though not enough to wet anything), because part of the tarp was improperly laid and had collected water the first night before we fixed it. We are very pleased with the performance of this tent.
Great Tent. Outstanding customer service.

I purchased this tent in April 2016 and I am very happy with it. I put it up myself the first time in the backyard with some difficulty getting the last top pole in place (there are three fiberglass poles that go across the top). That last pole will have to be raised and curved (bent) upwards to get it in place. Doing this will raise all three off the ground. If you find that you have to stretch the fabric too far to get that last one in place STOP! You are going to have to finesse the top fabric channels that the pole goes through by pulling them toward you. Manhandling this last pole could damage the tent. Pull the fabric towards you and it will go together. Be alert to the black plastic things the poles fit into. They are two different sizes. The top poles are a smaller diameter and will fit in either end. If you put the top poles in the wrong holes you will not be a happy camper and you will have to take them apart and start over. The six steel poles that stand the tent upright are a larger diameter. So be careful with this step. It's an easy mistake to make.I have used this tent three times this year and been through thunderstorms each time. Not a drop inside. Very reliable. Be sure to use a tarp underneath the tent. I have one of those blue ones from a box store and it works fine. Do not let it stick out from the tent because that will allow water to run underneath and possibly wick through the floor. A tarp will keep the floor perfectly dry. This tent is huge inside and you will not be disappointed. It has a room divider you can use (or not, just tie it back), a front and back door, and six windows. Plenty of pouches to store things and a hook in the center to hang a light. The rain fly is excellent. To get it over the tent, unless your first name is Kareem, tie it to a broom handle or whatever and pull it over the top. It's 10x15 so make sure your campsite can accommodate this bad boy.Update: 15 Sept 17Used this tent now for two full seasons (at least 12 outings) and looking forward to a third season. Customer service is OUTSTANDING. The tent has never leaked and it's been through some heavy storms and I have never used any seam sealer on the tent.
The reviews were spot on!

Holy buckets! This is the mother of all tents. By far and away the largest one we have ever bought, it was purchased for a long hunting trip with 4 adults using it as shelter. This thing is HUGE and incredibly easy to set up. Two people had it up, on the first time mind you, in less than 10 minutes. Next time, I expect it will take the two of us about 5 minutes because we have already done it once. Strong, stout poles give the structure stability and the zippered wall inside was perfect to give each couple a little privacy. You could live in this thing, without question, at least April-September. The ventilation was superior to other tents, the thickness of the walls and flooring was better than the typical tent, too. I love how the rain fly goes over and ties down, too. Someone really thought this one out before it went to production and it shows. We watched some video reviews and read other reviews before we bought it. It is an investment for us to use on hunting trips and long camping trips (with or without friends) because of the room to spread out. To give an idea of space: We use a queen size, double tall air mattress. We had our packs, duffle bags, and a medium sized suitcase all inside at the end of the bed and still had room to stand up, walk around, and stretch--and that was on our HALF of the tent. Our friends were on the other half and even spread out, also had room to spare. It is spendy but if you will use it for a couple weeks (or more) each year, it is WORTH IT!
Great family tent! Very excited for the summer!

(UPDATED: 12/30/2016) -Amazing tent, still 5-stars!! I just wanted to update, since we have used the Browning Big Horn Family Tent for three camping seasons (2014, 2015 & 2016) so far. This tent has been amazing! We have camped in conditions with cold/hot temperatures, high winds, severe rain and hail. Yes, HAIL. The tent has held up beautifully, through all of our camping adventures, and I would still highly recommend this tent. In regards to the flooring, it did leak a little during our trip to Steamboat Springs. Considering it rained every single morning and afternoon/evening, it didn't actually leak until the day it hailed for 40 minutes straight. It wasn't light hail, it was torrential. I noticed it was coming through one of the doors, that was facing the direction of the hail. Not a problem though, the rest of tent did great. I called ALPS/Browning when we got back and the customer service was amazing, they said it shouldn't have leaked, and sent a replacement tent body the next day!! This was the second time, I had to call about a replacement part, the first was about a tension rod that had broken and they sent a replacement for that next day as well. Besides the tent, the customer service and warranty service agents are fantastic! An excellent tent, backed by a great company. Me and my family love this tent! We are so excited to start the 2017 camping season with the Big Horn Tent.(ORIGINAL REVIEW - MAY 2014)This past weekend, we were finally able to put the tent up for the first time, before going on a community campout this weekend in our HOA's backcountry. First, we put down our footprint (heavy duty reversible tarp from Costco) and then pulled out the tent, poles, stakes and rainfly. The instructions were very clear and concise, and are sewn directly into the storage bag so you don’t need to worry about it getting lost. Once we had the tent folded out completely, and all of the poles extended it took my husband and I, about 15 minutes to complete the setup (and we’re novices). The tent when it is complete is 10 x 15 feet, and a center height of 7’ 3’’. My husband is 6’1’’ had PLENTY of headroom all around the tent and not just standing in the middle. He does have to bend down slightly when entering the tent, but he didn’t find that to be an issue. The tent and floor material seem to be high quality and very durable for a $300 tent. It will have to withstand me, my husband, our 5 year-old daughter and 2 Samoyeds ( 45 lbs. and 85 lbs.).The tent can be divided into two rooms, each room on one side of the zippered divider panel has 3 pockets for storage. Each room has its own separate entrance, which we absolutely love! There is one hook in the middle, that can be used for handing a lantern. There are 6 windows (4 on the walls and 1 on each door). One thing I would like to mention, is that there are no tie backs for the windows on the walls or the door. Not an issue for us, but something to note when purchasing. In one room, we set up 3 sleeping cots which are each 75"L x 25"W x 16"H, and they fit perfectly, taking into account about 5 inches of space in between the cots and wall.I have attached pictures of the interior, since there are absolutely NONE on the internet. So, we hope these pictures give you a good idea of the tent.We love this tent so far, and are VERY excited to take it out!
Company Stands Behind Their Products (2nd UPDATE 6/25/14)
March 10, 2014
(UPDATED 5/2016) - I just recently used this tent again and still love the functionality and space this tent provides. We now have 2 adults, 2 kids, and 2 dogs with gear and still have room to stretch. What I really want to add to my review is that on our recent camping trip we were surprised to get pounded by thunderstorms for hours one night. The Big Horn held up to the wind and pouring rain. I did not detect any leakage at all and I didn't even have the guy lines stakes down. Now that is amazing!!!(UPDATED 6/25/14) - Now I have upgraded from 2 stars back to 5 stars because Alps Mountaineering (makers of the Browning Big Horn) is a stand up company that offered to send me a replacement tent since the tent I purchased developed holes very quickly. I received my tent FedEx and am very pleased with Alps Mountaineering's customer service. They really do stand behind their products, and in this day and age, a company like this seems hard to find. I do hope that the replacement tent will not have the same issue as my first, but for now, I'm just happy to get a second chance with a tent design that I really love. Thanks Alps Mountaineering!!-------------------------------------------(UPDATED 5/17/14) - Downgraded from 5 star to 2 star - I just took this tent out for only the second time and noticed that there are already 2 little holes in the tent wall fabric. Really?!?! I took very good care of this tent (managed to keep a $100 Coleman tent for about 8 years). I take care of my stuff and thought I was doing a good job with this tent, so one could see my serious disappointment with this tent. I had such high praise for this tent after my first use, but it now has 2 holes and haven't got the slightest clue as to what caused them. Sorely disappointed now.-------------------------------------------(Original Review) - We just went camping on our maiden voyage with this new tent and had a great experience. The tent seems to be of very good quality all the way around. Poles are nice and sturdy, oxford floor is better than most at this price, and stitching is tight. It took me about 25 minutes to set up. The features that are important to me are: all windows can zip closed, it has vertical walls, the tent is big, it has two doors, rainfly buckles to anchor points, and the quality seems really good. Although we liked our previous Coleman Ridgeview tent we bought 8 years ago (finally gave out on us), this tent's quality is superior. For what this tent is, it gets five stars.I just wish it had a few additional features like: more inside storage pockets, air vents located floor level, electric cord access, wish the rainfly wrapped further down the tent for even better rain protection, and an awning area would be really cool. I guess all these features would probably push the price up out of my price range though. The one nitpick I have is that to fully secure the rainfly to this tent, you have to hand tie six integrated rainfly straps to the pole frame. Not a very efficient process, but it is only six. It could have had velcro ties or something that would not require hand tying each one. This process is a little tedious, but it does not affect the quality of the tent.If you are in the market for a family tent, at $250, this tent is hard to beat.I posted my own image for this tent. Enjoy.

and those along with the ceiling fan created nice airflow. The light is just enough to make ...
August 27, 2017
This tent meets all expectations. The first night out with it we had a prolonged downpour, and it held up with zero moisture accumulation. We had taken the precaution of waterproofing the tent and the rain fly with Atsko Silicone Guard (per another reviewer's recommendation), so I can't say whether it's waterproof without this or not. Why take the chance? We used a total of three cans of the Atsko for the entire tent and the fly.The included ceiling fan/light really doesn't offer much cooling unless you're standing directly beneath it, but we brought along a couple of O2Cool fans (can operate on batteries but both times we've gone out with this tent so far we've had electrical access), and those along with the ceiling fan created nice airflow. The light is just enough to make it not completely dark inside, which is nice in a pinch, but we also have some battery-operated string lights that we attached to the inside seam of the tent with mini binder clips, so our glamping experience is pretty sweet. We had RV neighbors in the campsite asking for tours!
Great for a family of five.
September 12, 2015
We bought this tent after realizing our old five man tent was actually not large enough for a family of five (mom, dad, and kids 2, 5, 7 years old). We wanted something that would have room for sleeping, but also to store other items. This was exactly what we were looking for.We did a trial run on setting up the tent before our first family camping trip. The instructions were fairly easy to follow, and we didn't even need them the second time around. I did have to go inside to push up the middle while my husband worked on the outside, so it might be hard for one person to set up on their own (by the way, my husband is 6'4" and could stand up from end to end). We also sprayed the tent with some Scotchgard. We took it down and it all fit into the carrying bag with ease.On our first camping trip, we used two queen mattresses and there was ample room for a laundry basket and all of our bags. We probably could have fit another small air mattress, and probably will next time around. I think this could be done if you turned one queen and one single side by side at one end of the tent. The built in light/ceiling fan is a nice feature, more so for the light than the fan. It circulates air, but doesn't really cool you down unless your're standing directly underneath it (it was about 85 degrees the week we were camping). The windows provided some great ventilation--we left them unzipped at the top about an inch or two each night, and slept very comfortably. It did rain one night, and we stayed completely dry. A small easy up and an outdoor carpet would be a nice addition, both for a shady area to sit and a place to take off your shoes. All in all, I think this was a great purchase. When the kids get a little older, we'll probably kick them out to our old five man tent and live in luxury in this one.
Nice Tent Highly Recommended

I have obligation to write a review on this fantastic product. We got 15 families camping together in Cape Cod recently. This tent was simply the best one we had on the group site! It was much better than others, worth every penny.Pros:High quality materialTall and plenty of room, we put two queue-size air mattresses, still very spacious.Absolutely rain proof. Got heavily rain the first day, but nothing happened to my family at all.bright LED ceiling light and fan (high-low speed). I hooked it with a 6.6V 4600mAH A123 LiFe battery pack, and it run forever.switch with night lightcan be separated into two roomsA lots of windowsEasy setup (took about 15-20 minutes for 2-person the first time) and storage (15 minutes for one person)Cons:Due to the shape and height, it may not very stable for strong gust if you open windows only on one side.May be tricky for one person to set it up, especially for the first time user, but I think it is still manageable in 45-60 minutes.
Awesome doesn't even come close!
July 6, 2015
My husband and I have used this a few times now, and it is awesome! Like most of you, I read every review of every tent out there and decided on The Prairie Breeze. I could not be more pleased with this tent. We have a queen size Coleman cot with air bed, a kitchen sherpa, two chairs and a trunk and there is still room enough for a small marching band to come thru! I bought an outdoor rug off of Amazon to make it a little more cozy and I think it looks amazing! And, of course, the light switch is a nice "glamping" touch. I agree with some of the other reviewers and give the fan a big thumbs down. We already had another battery operated stand up fan that we use on warm nights. I would have preferred that the door was a D door that could "swing" open and close like other tents have, but that is a minor drawback. Over all, I say you can't find a better tent out there. If you're on the fence about this tent, don't be, just click "add to cart" and don't look back! One tip for those of you who make the wise decision to purchase this tent... go to youtube.com and watch the video by "The Lone Wood Elf" he has a time elapsed video of him putting this very tent up and it is genius. After watching this video a few times, I was able to set it up, by myself in about 15 minutes. I am a 5'1, 40 year old woman.
A must have.
August 9, 2014
Tent was extremely easy to set up with 2 people. There is plenty of room inside. We had 2 queen air mattresses and 2 people in sleeping bags for a total of 6 in the tent. It doesn't get much better than this tent for camping.
Nice tent
September 14, 2013
I did a lot of reading of reviews before I chose this tent. There are so many options out there it was confusing which I should focus on. This tent didn't have the most reviews but they were all positive. I gave up some options for the size and center height and so far, I'm not disappointed with my choice. We took this camping once and did a trial set-up at home before our trip. The second time setting up was quicker and I'm sure this will get easier with practice. It is fairly easy to set up (about 15 minutes with two people for main tent and additional time for fly and guide lines). My only complaint is not knowing the correct way to initially raise the first set of poles. It worked best for us if someone stands in the middle and raises the center over their head, allowing the second person to start setting the poles to the tent. Not sure how a single person manages setting this up without putting undue stress on the fiberglass poles. The tent is very roomy. There are windows everywhere so ventilation is great. The zippers work very easily. Tents have come a long way since our last purchase. The light works well and is very convenient. The fan works but I'm not sure how effective it will be. The temperature while camping was cool. I didn't buy this tent for the fan. Best of all, it rained and rained and we kept absolutely dry. We didn't have any driving rains so i'm not sure how this holds up in wind.Packing up the tent was also no issue. And with a whisk broom and terry towel, the moisture quickly dried on the fly and sides of the tent, avoiding having to set the tent up at home to air out. As we folded the tent for packing, we also were able to dry the tent floor. We used a ground cover so the bottom outside flooring was clean and not very damp.We had a queen mattress, two chairs and small table, gear and plenty of room to move. My husband is 6'6" so the selling point for us is the height of this tent which is fairly constant through the entire tent. It's a keeper.

Awesome tent!
May 28, 2017
So this is now my second time using this. The first time was sunshine outside so everything was great and I took the time to use a full talk can off water repellant. The second time was rain for a few hours. It held up great other than at the base of one of the windows and both doors. We got small amount of drainage that caused a small puddle. I hope to get this issue resolved but at the same time I'm very impressed over my previous tents. I usually bought Coleman tents. No more, especially after hearing about Browning's customer service.
Good light weather tent, Great customer service.
April 10, 2017
Here to share just a few pointers and add a few things that I have not seen talked about before. Upon receiving I was able to set up the tent in a timely fashion alone. Figuring out the pole orientation was easy, poles color coated, and standard connections made it a breeze. Rain fly on the other hand was a little tricky to get over the top alone worked it out. Once I got it all set up I applied scotch guard to help prevent from the weather. The flooring seemed flimsy and that it might not last but I have not had an issue with it yet. First trip we had gotten a lot of rain and multiple times had 8 full size adults in our tent playing cards with not a single leak anywhere. My second trip did not go as well. The rain fly on the tent gets tied in the corner to the vertical poles. The rain fly then has strings externally at rain fly to pole connection. These ties get strung out and staked into the ground. These are the only thing besides the poles that hold the tent vertically. Even light wind along side the 14' x 8' walls give these strings a mighty work out. Needless to say my failed through the night causing the rest of my week hunting trip to result in sleeping in the truck. Evaluating the tent in the morning it was easy to see where it had failed. The seems on the internal tie to the poles had given way, the poles buckled and reality set in I just flushed $329 on one trip. Once I returned home and contacted customer service they immediately corrected the situation. The tent has an amazing amount of room, easy to set up, quality material, and great customer service. I have not had any issues with my new tent and it has weathered a few storms with out an issue. Only thing that keeps me up at night is those corners.......
Good Tent

The tent broke on the first camping trip but it was very much still usable. I called Browning which replaced it without any objections. Browning is a great company that backs their products.
The tents set up is very easy and can be done by 2 people very easily
December 7, 2016
My extended family and I purchased this for family camp outs and other activities. We have used it 6 times at this point. The tents set up is very easy and can be done by 2 people very easily, depending upon wind conditions. Like many tents the capacity is at space limits meaning that you could get that many in, but you don't have room for cots or bags.Held up to some pretty good winds also (15-20 mph), but I chose not to push it on our last camp out and cut the trip short. The only detraction I have is the "weather stripping" around the doors. There is a small strip of material covering the zipper in an effort to help keep rain out. I'm sure it works great for that, but it also gets in the way of the zipper....A LOT. For now we have learned to run a "guide" finger in front of the zipper when closing, but I still might just cut off the strip and risk it.
and a good number of pockets
June 27, 2016
Overall, it is exactly what I needed. I have been camping in this tent for 3 weeks and it has stayed dry through several days of rain. There are plenty of windows, and a good number of pockets. The bad: the zippers get stuck quite often, and there seems to be no way to close them 100% of the way because the two zippers on the door meet at a corner. This does allow small insects to get in, but I stuff cotton balls or socks down into the corner to prevent that. Also, it would be fantastic if there was a hook or line of some kind, maybe one of those canopy mesh tents that go along the top of some tents, that way I could hang wet socks etc.Setup does take quite a few minutes, and it would be difficult for only one person to manage.Other than that, great tent. Very happy with my purchase.
but this is a very good tent. It does assemble easily enough
May 23, 2016
Perhaps it's not as simple as the ez-up tents out there, but this is a very good tent. It does assemble easily enough. Best with two, but doable by one person. The interior height is excellent! Bein 6'5", I appreciate being able to stand up straight and get dressed. The walls lean in at a fairly shallow angle, so the roofline isn't much smaller than the floor. There is easily room for two XL cots and all the gear that a pair of reenactors tend to bring. It would be nice if the interior room divider was removable and that there were attachment points at the roof to do things like hang a lantern, but these are fairly small issues. Just one thing to be sure of, as other reviewers have said, mark the vertical poles that aren't the same length as the other two pairs to save yourself some frustration during set up. Make sure to have decent stakes, in case it's windy, but once staked down, it stayed pretty steady in moderate winds.

Exactly what I was hoping for
March 2, 2016
This tent is fantastic. It easily fits my family of 6 (2 Adults and 4 children ages 10 -16) with room enough to fit in all our gear or a couple extra friends if needed. It has held up to a Decent amount of Weather, which while in Arizona we have mostly pretty mild weather, we do experience a Monsoon season, we took this tent with us camping several times during the last monsoon season and it held up fantastic. Through several days of down pouring rain, not once did we have an issue with moisture seeping through the roof, walls, or floor. It is possible for rain to get through the door if you are moving in and out during rain fall, however that is not really unexpected. I solved it by creating a make shift entry way with a couple of tarps. The only down side is while the Rain cover does a fantastic job at blocking out the moisture it is very thin. My son took it on a scout camp and set it up by a tree, one little branch ripped the rain tarp and I had to patch the rain cover. If it was not for the fact that the rain cover tore on the first little branch it touched I would have given it a 5 star rating.Overall a great buy for my family.

absolutely love this tent, the fan connector not as strong as hoped for, but was easily fixed
Great purchase, great tent!!
August 27, 2014
I bought this tent to take on our annual trip to Cape Lookout, NC. So far, I've only used it once, but oh man, did it get used!! Our second nite there, we had a massive thunderstorm pass directly over us!! Wind gusts of 40mph and 2 1/2" of rain in 4hrs!! This tent stood up to that storm!! I used bigger tents stakes than the ones provided, and buried the guy lines and stakes 12" in the ground, knowing how hard the wind can be in CALO. They held the tent down without problem!! Between the wind and the rain, there was some minimal water in the tent that came in through the window zippers and the door zippers, but considering what we went through, I was very impressed!! The door zippers are tricky at first, but once you understand how to close them properly, they seal pretty good. The door zippers were the only reason I didn't give the tent 5 stars. I also didn't get to put waterproofing on the fabric prior to the trip and was very impressed with the quality of the waterproofing that Coleman used. I hope to get many more years of use from this tent and would recommend it to anyone looking for a larger tent for family camping.

Great Cabin Tent
July 15, 2014
I am a 62 year-old female and I got the Coleman Prairie Breeze tent so that I could camp with my daughter and 2 grandchildren. With some difficulty I was able to get the tent up on the second try. You have to secure the floor then insert the poles in the sleeves on the tent. After trying unsuccessfully the first time I then figured out that once you get three of the walls up and secured on the tent the back pole will fit into the connector otherwise it puts to much stress on the last fiberglass pole. After doing this it worked like a charm. I did not put the rain fly on top until after I had all four sides up and secured. Since rain was expected I got a step stool and put the rain fly on and secure with bungee cords. It did rain and had some winds. The Coleman Breeze came through with flying colors. I checked this morning for any leaks and there were none. It took only less than 10 minutes to take down roll up and put back in carry bag. Once I go camping it should not be so difficult to put up. The idea solution is to have two people to put up but it can be done by one person however it takes longer. I watched the video where the guy put the tent up in 22 minutes by himself. I think that is unrealistic. I would prefer the electrical outlet in the back of tent but that does not take away that this is a great tent. I have not put the fan up yet because the rain fly is on. Will update later regarding fan.

It had a bad leak around a defective seam

Bought one. It had a bad leak around a defective seam. Returned it only to get another one with a slight leak around one of the zippered windows. Paid too much for the quality of this tent!

May 5, 2017
The only bad things about the tent is that the top screen allows access to tiny insects and flies. Also, there is always air flow in the tent so on cold nights pack some extra blankets. Also, the windows on the doors does not stay still when opened, folded and tucked in. The other Windows are fine. The pockets have limited use because you can't use them all but only half the top one when the separator cloth is opened.Other than that its a good tent and I do enjoy it.

This tent is big! Easy set up. I put it up as soon as i got it. In that time it was up it rained for almost 2 weeks. From all the rain it did leak alittle bit. Only real compliant is the small fiberglass poles for the rain fly are not very durable. One broke, i contacted ALPS who makes the tent and they instantly sent me a replacement pole. Just got back from a weekend camping trip where it again rained all day. Alittle bit of drops on the inside (not a huge deal) but unfortunatly the small fly pole is cracked again. All and all Good tent for the money and good customer service. Will have to get another pole though.
Priced Right

It's nice. Super spacious. The price is fantastic. Shipping was great too. It is also a very attractive tent.Pros: Super spacious. Priced competitively. Shipping included. Very attractive. Good value.Cons: The wind is this tents enemy. It is also not terribly water resistant. I put two cans of stuff on the fly to the tune of twenty bucks and I still got a few raindrops in my ear. Now, given we live in Alaska and it's a lot more windy and rainy here than most places this tent is going to be used, but there it is.Summary: This tent is a good fair weather tent at a very fair price.
We love the tent.

A pole broke second time out, waiting to see what amazon is going to do about it. Other then that it was great. Never mind the pole is bring replaced by browning. Amazon is sending us a replacement tent, which we will now return. We love the Tent.
Thin flooring
June 11, 2015
We purchased this tent because of the great reviews and used it for a 3-night camping trip for ourselves and our two kids. We loved the space (very spacious, enough for a pack and play, a double size air mattress and a mini tent for our toddler, plus three bags) and style, and most everything about it until we had to pack up on a rainy day. First off, the tent did leak some around the zipper areas and got our bedding, and a fair amount of personal belongings wet. To be fair it was raining literally all day until dinner time and we did not come prepared by doing any waterproofing ourselves beforehand, just in case. I understand most tents will leak at least a little when given enough rain. With this in mind, I would have kept the tent and just waterproofed it myself with a sealant had the following not been the case. Second, and the real reason I'm only giving this tent 3 stars, is because of the floor material. Personally, I was very disappointed that the floor was made out of the same fabric as the entire tent, so it was a very thin and flimsy. When we packed up there was a noticeable tear in one of the corners of the floor, which led to more water in the tent and to me was reason enough to send it back. I don't know why the floor wasn't made of a more durable, tarp-like material. Overall though, this wasn't a bad tent, our personal preferences just don't match up to what this tent is offering.

Love the space, hate the zippers.
August 2, 2017
We've had one of these models for a few years and love how much room it has inside. The number of windows is great and the rain fly works well. However, zippers are this tent's downfall. After the first use one of the zippers came completely off so we can never open one of the windows again. This past season the main door's zipper has constantly come off track so it requires a lot of babying to get it to close properly. I'm about ready to toss it after our last camping trip since I was the only one who could get it to close. It is a pain to set up with the ceiling poles and given how many times I've struggled with it I'm seriously considering a quick setup tent to replace this. No way would I put 9 people in this tent since it would not hold any of your gear if you did, but our family of 6 sleeps comfortably with our stuff inside of it. You could do better than this tent and you could do a lot worse.
Decent tent but pole broke on first use
June 21, 2016
Very spacious and fairly easy to set up considering its size. The overhead light and wall switch are nice. BUT, one of the shock cords inside the fiberglass poles broke the first time we used the tent, and it was under VERY normal conditions of use. Basically, we were just easing the pole out of the sleeve when taking the tent down, and we didn't even know anything had broken until we went to fold the tent up and suddenly felt that there was something rigid still left inside. It was one section of the fiberglass pole that had broken off. That doesn't make you feel too happy when you just spent $300 on the tent.
Watch out for zippers!
June 9, 2016
The tent is good, BUT the storage bag is garbage. The zipper broke after first use. I called Coleman to try and get it replaced and was told the unfortunately the bag is not covered under warranty but they can sell me a replacement bag for an additional $70. Zipper is a cheap pot poured steel that cannot handle the weight of this tent. What a bunch of garbage! Will not be buying there products anymore.

The tent is very nice and I love the size and the light and fan built in, however, you cannot get any replacement parts for the tent. My camp gear trailer was stolen and we lost the rain fly and room divider when it was taken and Coleman does not sell replacement parts for this tent even though we only bought it a few years ago. Most companies will make replacement parts for ALL their models for 7 years, so this really makes me angry that even though it's only about 4 years old, we can't get parts for it

This tent is an amazing tent it's really roomy perfect for what I wanted it for but it gets a three star because the fiberglass pole in the middle broke in mns last heavy snow I knew that it wouldn't be under warrantee but I contacted Coleman customer service to find the measurements and was not helpful at all they don't sell the pole I needed and wouldn't tell me the measurements just said there was nothing they can do so if something happens to the poles then don't expect anything back

Great design...but has some craftsmanship/integrity issues
September 11, 2017
Bought this last summer and have used it about 4-5 times now. I've been loving the tent, it's very spacious and the zippers didn't seem too tight where they're difficult to open/close...had that problem on a previous Eddie Bauer tent I had. Set up is quick, easy and logical and haven't had any issue with water getting in and looks great when it's set up. Unfortunately on my last trip one of the (6) connectors that are tied to straps towards the top of the walls for holding the poles in place ripped away from the tent. I was just a simple strap and apparently didn't have much reinforcement/stitching to keep it attached to the tent properly which is surprising and disappointing considering the important function of these. So now I need to figure something out to reattach and reinforce it and if that doesn't work I'll have to purchase another tent.
Broke after second use
October 10, 2016
Just finished my second time using this tent and Im not a fan. After just the second use one of the top poles broke. The string that keeps the pole together broke and now its just in pieces. The tent has a lot of room and folds down to a fairly small size for transport. I would appreciate a little more thought to the inside of the tent as well. The room divider has pockets on each side, but other than that there are no pockets or latches anywhere else on the inside. It would be great to have a few latches to hang lights from or pockets on the sides to keep things off the ground. A big tent like this should have a couple features inside. Spent a lot of money to only use this twice. Will edit the review and add pictures.

September 26, 2016
We purchased this tent because of the reviews. While we loved the tent and spent apx 4 weeks traveling around the country staying in the tent, I must say that we had water in the tent floor during several rain storms. It did not leak from the top of the tent. It came in thru the floor even tho we had purchased and used a tarp under the tent. I also noticed that we were developing small holes in the fly covering the tent during our last stay. To give this tent credit tho we were in Florida during the tropical storm that came into Northern Florida...we had the worst lighting/wind storm and the tent was nice and dry during this storm. It held well and we slept soundly except for the big bolts of thunder. It was the second time we set up the tent that it leaked during another storm and the fourth time that I noticed the hole in the fly. It made our camping trip very enjoyable with plenty of room for my husband, myself, and our pet. The only thing I would change is take the divider out of the tent...we had to tie it back out of the way. We had a queen size blow up mattress that went past the divider. Otherwise it was a great tent and we hope to camp again next year.
Disappointed
September 3, 2016
I purchased this tent for a late summer camping trip. Upon reciept I set up the tent in the yard per the included instructions and was pleased with the ease of set up and spaciousness of the tent. When we arrived at our campground I discovered all of the elastic cords holding each collapsible tent pole together had severed, leaving me with a pile of tent pole pieces to sort out. The absence of elastic cords made it extremely difficult to keep each pole section connected while inserting them into the tent. We managed with some difficulty, however, and the tent was sturdy once assembled. When breaking down the tent one of the elastic ties connecting the pole supports to the tent body came loose...To add insult to injury, when I tried to return the tent through Amazon I found I had just missed the return window. My fault for not reading the return policy more carefully prior to purchase.Although this tent is spacious, I would suggest seeking other options. Poor quality materials and design leave a lot to be desired.
and I was confident it would be perfect for my family
December 27, 2015
After hours of research I purchased this tent, and I was confident it would be perfect for my family.Since then, we have used it on 2 different camping trip, the first time was a under the trees looking out onto the beach. On that occasion it worked like it should have, and we thought it was great. But the second time, we camped on the beach, and there were no trees, and had some fairly strong winds, we were woken up multiple times throughout the night by the corner of the tent caving in on us, essentially the corner had flipped and was now inverted, and because of the odd way it pulled the fabric, it had caused a tear in one of the seams...Despite trying to remedy the problem by adjusting the poles, and moving the tent, re-making the tent, it continued to do that. Finally, in the morning we had thought we got it to stay up, and we went to go for a walk, we came back to a very sad, and embarrassing looking tent, once again with its inverted corner swinging. In the end we had to pack this tent back up, and pulled out a trusty 4 man tent and squeezed into that for the remainder of our camping trip.Maybe I had received a defective one, or who knows, but I know I read those directions time and time again, and my spouse had also, and it did not work for us. Overall, not happy, especially for the price I paid.
Good design, mine arrived with a hole.
June 29, 2015
I really do like this tent. Plenty of space for our family of 4 and more than ample room for two queen air mattresses. It arrived one day before or camping trip and was easy to set up. Our 4 day trip included heavy winds and one day of light rain.Unfortunately, I knocked the stars off for our tent arriving with a hole in the floor. Nothing too big but irritating none the less considering I paid the same price as others who won't need to do patching of the tent floor to make their tent waterproof.Update 6/15/16:We took this tent on our second 4 day camping trip. This time we had moderate rains the first two days, much more than our trip last year. The bottom seams and corners leaked in numerous places. Most of the leaking occurred on the floor under the doors, in the corners, and the middle bottom edges of the tent where the middle divider is sewn in. We had everything pulled about a foot or more around the inside on the offchance there was leaking the first night and I was surprised by how much water had come in when I woke up. There were enough small puddles that they had joined together and made a little river towards a depression underneath the kids duffel bag and started soaking the clothes. The zipper on the front door also started to malfunction a bit to where it keeps bunching one side up and the zipper seams don't meet together. For 8 days/7 nights of camping with this tent (total) I wish I wasn't running into these issues already. In my opinion the pro's of this tent are the tall height, symmetrical shape (IE usable space), and ease of putting together. I was able to put it up on my own in about 30 minutes or so.I think if I had to do it over I would spend a little more and perhaps look at a brand with a little higher quality, perhaps one with a full fly as well.

Beautiful face, ugly soul
June 28, 2017
This is a beautiful tent to look at, but the light/fan is pointless and the interior fails to include any loops to hang an alternate light. The poles are poorly bunjeed together and feel destined to break.
very easy to set up tent

Brand new out of the box and the tent leaked, woke up to a wet air bed, very easy to set up tent.
disappointed...
June 15, 2015
Easy to put up by myself, but needed a 2nd person to help put the rainfly on because it is so large. I like the size of this tent; I have been looking for something like this for a while. I am disappointed with the door, After seeing the D style door on some other Coleman models, I think it would have been a great addition to this tent.. And, this tent is so large it easily could have had two doors. My biggest disappointment with the tent is that it LEAKS, A LOT! The seam where the tent is joined to the floor, leaks all the way around. I tested the tent in light rain immediately after getting it, and after the rain stopped, there was over an inch of standing water in the tent.

The tent itself is incredible. tons of room however, On first use one stick broke, the poswer pack did not work and it leaked in the seams of the window. Was disappointed as ordering a Coleman brand tent I thought I would get the best. The cover that goes over the top, it did not come down far enough to protect the window.

Don't waste your time
August 11, 2016
Don't waste your time. I purchased this in June and due to a busy summer schedule just got the opportunity to take this out of the box and set it up in my yard. I am not at all impressed with the floor and don't foresee it holding up well AT ALL. In addition, I am not sure if I received it in this condition or if it occurred during the process of setting it up ONE TIME in my yard, there is now a pencil sized hole near one of the roof corners. And to top it off, my window of opportunity to make a return has ended, so now I guess I contact Browning to see what they can do, if anything. I am NOT happy.
Mediocre Quality
June 3, 2016
In our search for a new large family tent this year, we came across this tent. It had pretty favorable reviews and looked like it might be big enough for our family camping trips (family of 4 plus a dog). While pitching the tent in our back yard we decided to return it for several reasons. Honestly, we didn't actually get it fully put up before deciding it would be going back.1. The material felt cheap and flimsy, including the floor. Our previous tent was a Coleman with a bathtub style floor, and this one just didn't seem like it would have the longevity we desired.2. There was no way to secure the floor liner (which we had gotten to improve the longevity of the floor and to help with keeping the floor clean). This meant the possibility of it shifting and being more of a pain than help while camping.3. The stitching and seams were not the standard of quality for which we were looking.
Strap pulled out of seam, first time putting up - POOR CONSTRUCTION !!!
April 30, 2016
When putting up the tent first time in the garage...just a slight tug to put the first pole into the fitting, and the strap broke. Wasn't sewn in to the tent very well at all. Would have expected it to have been reinforced with extra material and stitching. But it was just a strap sewn into the normal seam, nothing extra. I applied less force than what it would take to hold that top corner of the tent up. VERY POOR CONSTRUCTION. The tent was returned.
Tent is great, withstands rain but not the winds
January 25, 2016
Tent is great, withstands rain but not the winds. Brand new tent, used it once in the back yard (beautiful night - August 2015) for all the cousins, it was perfect. Planned to use it at a family reunion camping on Oahu in October 2015 when my son asked if they could use it at a football retreat on football field. Light to moderate winds with rain constantly pounded the tent and the poles snapped. So much for our family reunion camping. Never slept in the tent yet. Just like the other posting 2 months ago, need stronger poles.

Nice tent. Easy to set up. Construction and materials are good.We camp on a lake shore, and like to look out on the water when we are going to bed. Unfortunately, the windows do not come down the side of the tent far enough to allow that. Other than that, we liked the tent...Call it a 4 star... So why only 1 star?We bought the tent way ahead of the time that we needed it.. These tents were scarce in April so I nabbed this one when it was available.4 months later we unpacked it at our camp site to set it up and discovered that-the bungee cord that holds all of the sections together on one of the main poles was broken so all of the sections were separated and loose.-There was a hole in the floor.-One of the metal sleeves that join two tent pole sections together was separated from the pole that it was supposed to be attached to.Fortunately, we were able to make-do and get the tent set up.Too late to return, so all I can do is warn you to do what I did not do.... Set up your new tent immediately upon delivery and make sure that it is in good shape and that all of the bits and pieces are there....Lesson learned :-)
Disappointed to say the least...
August 18, 2017
1 star because of size and comfort when dry outside. If we could guarantee to go camping in only dry weather this tent would be a dream. However, we set up in dry weather knowing rain was in the forecast (happening now outside, as I sit inside chasing wet spots). We were so excited for this tent!!! Disappointed is an understatement. It started raining 2 hours ago, 1 hour and 45 minutes ago we had the front window start leaking. Rain fly on tight and secure however the rain angle had water hitting the window. I have been chasing dripping water for almost 2 hours now from every window. However it is not only the window now but water is coming in through the bottom seam where the floor tarp fabric and tent fabric meet. Will be returning, or calling customer service when we return. However for now, we are stuck! Luckily the kids don't care and we are making memories, I'm just unimpressed.
DO NOT BUY!!!

This is the WORST tent I have every owned
May 31, 2016
This is the WORST tent I have every owned. I have had several tents, but never a Coleman. So when I replaced my Columbia Cougar Flats with this tent, I was very excited. It has been nothing but a problem and Coleman does nothing to stand by their product. The poles have consistently been an issue. Every one of the fiberglass poles have become unstrung with the knots giving way or sliding through the pole because they were too little. After no good resolution, I finally just asked them if I could order new replacement poles. I was told that I could not. I pointed out that they still sold the tent so they had to have poles for the tent. I was told that I would have to purchase kits and re-string all the poles myself. Ironically – none of the kits have enough parts to cover two of the largest poles, which are 7 sections, and the third pole being 5 sections. This would require a purchase of 4 kits rather than 3. It is so ridiculous I have to laugh about it. On my Columbia, in the years I had it on the rare occasion I snapped a pole – the jumped through hoops each time to get me a new pole – and it wasn’t even their malfunction. Coleman is putting out a bad product and then wants you to pay for their mistakes. I will NEVER purchase another Coleman tent again. Be advised. If you purchase one from them, make sure you ask all the right questions first!
