April 9, 2016 What a great deal for the price I paid for these. This was the best deal around I could find. I wanted to stock up on these and get as many as I could for the price because we have two cats in our house who love to shed and lay on our clothes. The idea of walking around covered in cat hair didn't appeal to me. We keep these in one of our desk drawers right beside our door so all we have to do is use these on our clothes before we head out and we're good to go. The seats are tricky to remove. It's hard to only take off one sheet at a time, if you're trying to be conservative with the role, but it's not a big deal to us and I would think you would have that issue with any other brand as well. It works great and makes my clothing look like new. It's definitely kept me from tossing a few shirts that just looked super worn. 2 of the shirts I used this on got holes while using it. It ignited an addiction to remove any pilling on all articles of clothing and furniture. If my family and friends ever hold a fabric shaving intervention on my behalf...Remington RTFS-2 Fuzzaway is to blame.Only complaint is the "holding" compartment fills up quickly and needs to be emptied often. Thus taking precious fabric shaving minutes away from my life. The Lint Eater January 5, 2016 Um....this thing is AMAZING!Here is what happened, I washed a favorite cardigan of mine in with a brand new sweatshirt or sweater...I cant remember which right now....but the point is my cardigan came out with green lint balls all over it! :( so I tried washing it again, and it did nothing....I had a flashback memory of my grandmother using one of these things on my grandfathers sweaters cause she "hated the pilly things"...She called it a "lint eater"....I ordered this baby and BAM.....all my shh is lint pill free!NOT TO MENTION, I dropped this bad boy from a damning height to a hardwood floor one day while trying to lint eat the armpit of a sweater, while the sweater was on....It fell to the ground and all the pieces that come off scattered across the floor, I put it back together, and it started eating lint again like nothing ever happened....cant say you could do that every single day and expect the same result, however, I was pleasant surprised at how rugged it is :) Great tool that really WORKS February 25, 2015 I debated whether or not I should spend the $22 and get this one or spend less than half for another one. I received the shaver in the mail today and immediately went to work on my West Elm couch. It was relatively quick (10 min or so) and I only had to empty the cartridge once during the process. The results were perfect! I've included a before and after photo here for others for reference. I'm so glad I went through with this purchase. I definitely recommend it. Great work for size & price January 1, 2015 I have never owned a fabric shaver so I have nothing to compare it too but this was so cheap & got the job done. I am including some before and after pictures of a loved sweater that I was about to toss until I made this purchase. Buy It! March 25, 2014 This shaver is small but does the job quick. The battery case does slide off rather easily but its worth every dime. I have had shavers in the past rip holes in some of my clothes but this one didn't get snagged up not even once and I wasn't even laying my garment flat either. The sheets tend to rip where they are not supposed to Good job. January 24, 2016 These rollers work well. Not quite as sticky as other rollers, but the bonus to that is the sheets will actually come apart when you get to a new one so you don't have to spend 1/2 an hour trying to pull the old sheet off for the fresh one. The roller handle is not super strong so plan to watch your pressure as you use it.I really am happy with these, I use them a lot. I'll be getting them again. Almost November 30, 2015 Kind of hard to pull of old layers without going into others. Other than that it picks up hair and lint nicely. If it was easier to pull sheets it would be 5 stars. I've had to donate a lot of mine before simply because they would get little fuzz balls on the fabric that would deem them unwanted in my eyes haha. Got to shave off the fuzz from my infected shirts and my crew socks. It's kinda troublesome shaving off socks and causes slight ripping of the stitching but it definitely freed them their ultimate demise in the trash. It does not completely remove all small fuzzies but it makes a notable difference. Would buy again if it were to break. It's a good product March 26, 2017 Works well on most fabric. I love the cover, but I have some problems emptying the unit. The fuzz sticks in top near the blades, so you have to unscrew the cover each time, and the battery door tends to fall off as well. Great Little tool to have in any closet! November 2, 2015 I bought this to replace an ancient one I have had forever and given to me by my mom when I moved out. This is a great item to have in your home. It gets rid of those pesky sweater knots and fluffies that make your clothes look old. I sell vintage clothing too so this is great to use for my business without ruining the clothing. You have to be careful and not drag it over a corner of clothing because it could cause a cut in the fabric. It is best to lay the article of clothing flat and use this in brushing movements over the garment. The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is because the motor should be a little stronger. I find that when I am using it for a longer period of time it lags or starts to slow down a bit over tough knots. I also would love to see a larger head on it and a smaller end where you hold it, maybe even a grip as sometimes I easily drop it which could damage it. Great product either way though just could use a little improving. If the manufacturers needs some great advice, please contact me. Gets rid of ugly pilling on shirts and other clothes, even sheets! June 1, 2015 Being a guy I thought I would never purchase anything like this, but I'm very happy I did. I had many t-shirts and sweatshirts that got nasty pilling on them and they looked terrible. Most of the time I would just consider them as work shirts or rags, but this this removed the pilling very quickly and made the shirts look good again and made them comfortable to wear again. I even used it on my satin sheets and it worked great. I was quite surprised with this little battery powered item and am glad I made the purchase. |

The only reason I didn't return the rollers.Cons: The perforated edges are terrible. When one sheet is done, you can't easily tear it off without grabbing multiple unused sheets and peeling them off together wasting sheets. I had to take an exacto knife and cut along the perforated line to separate the sheets which only worked slightly as I had to use tweezers to separate the corner from the other sheets then it kinda peeled off as one sheet with some effort.I would not recommend buying these lint rollers, although they got the job done, with added effort, they aren't top notch and takes more time and effort to actually use them than worth the cheap price. Great sticky sheets, flimsy handle tool March 13, 2016 I have two cats and go through sticky sheets really quick. I'm always searching for a bargain since this can get expensive. Out of the package, I loaded a fresh roll onto the hand roller tool and the handle part snapped! I could tell immediately this was really flimsy plastic and so it broke before I could even get through my first sheet. HOWEVER, I had a left over hand wand (one I bought from target or something) and the rolls of sticky paper fit it perfectly. I have to say, although the handle broke, I think these sticky sheets are some of the best I've ever used. They peel and tear easily for the next sheet and I feel like they pick up a lot of hair. February 24, 2016 These lint rollers are a very good deal, so you get a lot for your buck. They also are nice and sticky and pick up pet hair, etc. very well. The downside is that they do not tear or separate well, so when you try to pull off one sheet you often end up pulling off several at a time, which feels wasteful. I've ruined a nice pair fleece leggings even though I was very careful. Five Stars November 26, 2014 Okay, well it DID work great until butterfingers here dropped it ONE time (02/15/15). The little silver cover screen popped out of its groove of the blue ring that screws over the blades. Well, that was interesting because nothing else broke, and when I unscrewed the blue ring to put the screen back in place, the flimsy screen ripped and it would not go back into place. So now I have the body of the thing, with blades that still operate fine - but no screen. I have not found where to get a replacement screen, so I guess imma have to get a whole nother shaver. What a waste!! All because of a 2 cent flimsy screen. Bought November 2014 for $12.99 and on 02/16/15 it's $21.84 - seriously?!----------------------------------------------Works great! Don't press too hard on delicate clothes or it will bite a little hole in your clothes. SMALL AND PACKABLE March 12, 2014 After reading all the reviews I was totally confused. So, as they were inexpensive, I bought 2 different ones. The other one was a charcoal block from the Vermont Country Store that someone said did the best job. I'm inclined to agree. The charcoal made a bit of a mess at first; then it settled down. I have to say I haven't used this electric one enough to comment but it isn't terribly powerful--because you wouldn't want it too powerful. It would be good for traveling, though. September 14, 2011 This shaver works great on regular to heavyweight material, but is way TOO POWERFUL on lightweight stuff. It sucked my summer knit tunic in and created a hole before I could react. Thinking this was a fluke (or I was an idiot) and being more cautious, I wrapped my next lightweight shirt snugly around my ironing board and carefully started near the hem. Within seconds it too was sucked in and another hole was left behind.I've used these types of shavers for years, so I'm not a newbie to how they work. This one is just a lot more powerful, and the face holes are a bunch bigger, when I compared it with my older shavers.Since the face unscrews to allow for better clean-out, it would be great if Remington offered a smaller-holed replaceable face for lightweight material. |

I've had it 3 hours and the handle has broken in half already. I won't order this again. I buy lint rollers all the time and so tried ... December 19, 2015 I buy lint rollers all the time and so tried your's this time because of the price point. The only real problem with them is that the sheets are hard to remove as they are way too thin and the perforations are not helpful in getting the used sheets removed. The sheets tend to tear so do not come off in one piece, but in several. Not very convenient actually. Sorry - I won't purchase again - I'll go back to getting them at the supermarket where they are made of heavier material. Sticky but roll falls off handle November 17, 2015 I bought these with high hopes as I have a golden retriever that likes to climb on my brown faux leather couch in the middle of the night thinking she's being sneaky but leaving an obvious trace of blond hair found in the morning. The tools are plenty stick enough to gather up and lint/hair but are a bit difficult to get the sheet off to the next one. I would be able to overlook the difficulty of getting to the next sheet if the rolling handle functioned properly. When rolling the sticky pads end up moving off of the handle and I have to stop and wedge it back up on the handle for it to only happen again. Maybe I just got a defective handle, I don't know but now I have about 485 sticky sheets left that don't work with their given handle... | 4% Not all it's cracked up to be. Not as good as older design. October 3, 2017 The blades spin well and seem to trim fine, but the design of the lint trap does not work effectively. Because of the angle you have to hold it against the fabric for it to remove the pills, it has to push the lint pills upward into the collection bin. The old design had the blades at a right angle to the collection bin. Much better! The opening to the collection bin is very narrow and I got big wads of lint balls jammed up in the blade area and had to disassemble the mesh guard and blades to remove them. Also, the battery compartment opens most times you use it, since it is very easy to slide the cover off. It should be relocated to somewhere other than where you hold the unit to operate it or make the cover much more difficult to remove. They should really go back t the old design. Very disappointed in this shaver. Save your money April 25, 2017 Really disappointed. Super cheap and does not do a very good job. Aside from the defect, the build quality of the entire unit felt sub-par. I was able to fix by disassembling the product and using a Dremel but what a terrible waste of time. I typically associate the Remington brand name with good quality but this product did not match that expectation.I would have given this product only one star except the very low price prompted me to bump it to two stars since I do have a working product for very little money after some elbow grease. The design is HORRIBLE but if you can get past that February 7, 2016 I've bought three of these over the last 5 years. The design is HORRIBLE but if you can get past that, it works. See, the lint collector slides off/falls out all of the time. The battery door falls off, too. And, the ergonomic shape will drive you mad as it's imparctical and wobbly when set down. Oh, and the blades sometimes clog the front so it won't work right. And, the bades dull too soon. Apart form all of that (because the manufacturer is too cheap to do it right, obviously), it works great! I wish capitalism encouraged competition instead of a race to the bottom for profit. As it is, there appears to be no superior product. Anyone know of a better competitor and I'm in! It's okay. I suppose. Either way, it's very frustrating to order a product, and it arrive and not usable. I ordered this to use on my black sofa to take care of dog hair. The 'extra sticky' paper is really not that sticky. It's fine, works fine (I ended up buying a handle at the dollar store), but it's no more stickier than the link roller I bought at the dollar store. The paper also rips very easily when you are trying to remove the used sheet, so you end up wasting a few sheets just to get to a fresh one. I'll stick to the dollar store link rollers, which seem to work just as well. Buy the evercare pet hair/lint rollers instead. November 16, 2015 I never thought I would write a review for lint rollers, but these genuinely suck. I guess I'm a lint roller connoisseur as I have a really hairy dog. The sheets just stick together - hard to peel off just one sheet without tearing several others in the process. Plus, they don't pick up pet hair all that well. First the sheets do no come off easily but in strips also stripping the other sheets behind it so that it wastes 2-4 sheets every time you need a new sheet. Second the perforated edge isn't really perforated but more of a dotted line so you have to take a knife to the dotted line and make the perforation yourself. Finally the actual handle is cheaply made and the axial at the top broke off after the third use so it no longer rolls. terrible August 28, 2015 I read so many good reviews I figured it was going to be easy. This item kept falling apart. The roller would come off the handle and no way to repair it. It was impossible to remove one layer of tape at a time. September 24, 2017 BUYER BEWARE!I have used a product like this in the past and was excited to order this one! It seemed small, light-weight, and had fairly decent reviews.When the product arrived, I couldn't wait to open it and test it out on a pair of pants. I put batteries in it, turned it on, and tried to remove unwanted fuzz from my pants. I laid the pants flat on a table, followed the directions, and tried to get it to work. Within seconds, it turned off! I thought the batteries were dead so I put new ones in. The same thing happened. I am very disappointed with this purchase, as it does not work at all! I tried to return the item, but it is ineligible for return. I'm hoping to get my money back so I can order a different item. Used off and on for a period of 30 minutes ... Junk October 12, 2015 I purchased this, due to mostly great reviews. Unfortunately, it's a true case of you get what you pay for. It does not remove all sweater pilling, it takes forever to remove the little bit it does, and the compartment that holds the little that is removed is garbage. My advice spend a little more money, and you'll probably get better results. Shame on them for putting the Remington name on this! July 20, 2014 Just awful! The last one I had was a gift from my mother, probably twenty or more years ago. It still worked beautifully but I had worn it out right through the metal screen. This "replacement" isn't even close in quality! The screen is flexible from brand new so I wonder how long that will last but the horrible part is that the receptacle falls off every time I pick it up as well as the battery cover being loose. I have to put a piece of tape all the way around it to hold it together. I'm looking for another brand altogether and hope I find one. Remington used to be a name that meant quality but they missed on this one. I'd have been happier paying twice the price for a quality product than have to live with this cheap junk! Ineffective after first two sweater shaves. January 8, 2014 Having read all the reviews i was very excited to get a fabric shaver that is affordable and does the job! Sorry to say that i was bitterly disappointed. The shaver worked ok for the first two projects (both sweaters) - removed obviously visible pills and smoothed some (but not all) fuzz. I did have to work at it slowly and patiently and made sure to empty any fuzz build up in the shaver. Sweater #3 was where everything went wrong. In short, the shaver failed to produce any visible results whatsoever.Not really sure why, as i made certain to clean it out well before next project.Since some of the bad reviews mentioned shaver rips delicate fabric, while others noted that it barely makes a dent in the fuzz (mine apparently is in the second category), I imagine that all units of this product vary in blade placement which lacks precision. As a result some get overly aggressive shave, some are lucky to get it just right, and others fail to see any results.In my case, this product was rendered completely useless after only two jobs. Poor consistency. Poor product. Poor value.Only purchase if you feel lucky - to be the one who gets the unit that is manufactured just right. |
