Not your local store cheesecloth!
August 27, 2017
Not your grocery store flimsy cheesecloth. I expected this to be better, but it is a whole different class. Tiny mesh but strong. Using it to make ricotta cheese, and to strain seeds out of puréed fruit. Lots of uses in the kitchen! They give you tips on how to make your tasks easier. You can even wash and reuse it, its that sturdy. So glad I found it.
Excellent quality and value for straining soup stocks or similar uses
February 23, 2017
I was not happy with having to use multiple layers of lower stitch count cheesecloth to strain my soup stocks. This product has the perfect stitch count so as it is supplied I just cut a length to line my strainer and it gets all those small particles you want to remove from your two day simmered chicken or ham stock (or veggies) with good flow. If it becomes clogged it is heavy enough to rinse out and continue instead of having to cut a new piece, but it is cheap enough to throw away when done with each batch of stock. Very low price for what you get!
Cold brew coffee and soft cheese
September 30, 2016
I've been looking for a good quality cheese cloth in a decent amount for making cold brew coffee, Greek yogurt and also trying my hand at making soft cheese like ricotta. I am so glad I found this! This is a finer cheese cloth than I can find locally and it's price is excellent. Only one local store sells cheesecloth labeled as fine and it really falls short of expectation. So far I've used this only for Greek yogurt and soft cheese. It did wonderfully with both, especially the ricotta I made for enchilada lasagna. I am making cold brew coffee very soon.
Very High Quality Cheesecloth
September 27, 2016
I didn't think this cheesecloth was going to be as good as it actually is, especially the amount you get for the price. It's excellent material and very uniform in weave. I used it this weekend to strain the juice from chokecherries for jelly. It held up very well and removed the fine pulp that will cloud jelly. The cloth was stained very dark purple when I was done but came back to almost new color with nothing but a good rinse in warm water and air dry. On the slim chance I ever manage to wear this stuff out, I'll definitely buy it again.

Great product. I have severe allergies to dust and stuff. I was taught by a professional air and heating person, to cut cheesecloth to size and place in outgoing vents to reduce allergens. Works incredibly well. I get duct work cleaned every two years. This will pull me through, if allergens are bad, until time to clean ducts. I cut a swab about 3-4 roll overs for blowing out duct. Works better than you can imagine. Also helps cut down on dust.
Excellent product

Not sure how much you can say about cheesecloth but I will admit that after buying my cheesecloth in the supermarket for years I didn't realize how much better this one is from Amazon. I like it a lot because of the way it holds up mainly and I don't think I'll ever go back to the flimsy cheesecloth from the supermarket again. I bought this primarily for making Ricotta cheese and it does the job beautifully.

Used to make paneer!
September 12, 2017
I used this to make some paneer recently. It worked well - I cut it into several pieces and pressed the cheese while it was in this cloth.

The grain is largish (I probably didn't pay very close attention when I ordered it) but it worked just fine. I washed it after using and it did shrink it a bit, which is just fine!
Excellent for kombucha brewing
February 11, 2017
Works perfect for brewing my homemade kombucha. I opted to buy this over certified organic cheesecloth because it's not coming into direct contact with food (just using it as a cover on my brewing vessel)....I just wanted it to be unbleached. The mesh is fairly tight and uniform....great product. Thanks Pure Acres!
Seriously good product for a great price
December 8, 2016
I use this stuff for a kinds of things in my kitchen. Making homemade stock I use it to strain the vegetables to get every bit of delicious juice out. Making large pitches of tea, I use it to hold the Lipton loose leaf together so it's not full of silt. There's been a few times my strainer has slits too wide for something I need to rinse, and I just lay a square inside the bowl then rinse away. And every piece that's used I wash in the sink and let air dry and then use again. I do try to use the same cloth for the same job (stock cloth for stock, tea cloth for tea, etc) and use labeled bags to keep them separate. I've also used it to make cheese broth (YUM) so I don't ruin a pot with melted cheese rind, and to strain off extra juice from some fruit leather I was making. Eventually, I might actually use it to make some cheese. We'll have to wait and see. Seriously good product for a great price!
Excellent Product & High Quality!
June 15, 2016
This cheesecloth is excellent quality! I purchased it to make my own loose leaf tea bags in various sizes and to drain homemade cheese with. It works perfectly for both of these purposes. It has a tight weave while still allowing liquid to pass through it. I wash my tea bags after each use and after several weeks of consistent use my original bags are still holding up very well. I will be purchasing from Pure-Aces-Farm for future needs. Thank you for a wonderful product.
Such a GREAT product for the money!!!
March 21, 2016
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the cheesecloth!! I putting through the ringer this weekend. I was making desserts for over 40 people. I had to strain ricotta for cannolis, strain raspberry puree, and squeeze juices from lemons and limes!!! It worked out sooooo well.. And I reused the small portions that I used so I still have plenty for reserve!!! The quality is top notch!! It was stitched close so I didn't lose any pulp or cheese. And I got to use it more that twice!! I washed it and it is waiting for my next baking adventure!! Thanks for making such a great product. It saved me soooooo much time and effort!!

Nice
March 26, 2017
Seems to be high quality. It is higher quality than the "food grade" cloth my wife purchased at a big box housewares store. I use it in the shop for polishing and she uses it in the kitchen when making chicken stock. Has held up to everything we have thrown at it.

JUST LIKE ANY OTHER CHEESE CLOTH. DOES WHAT I WANTED IT TO DO
Lasts a long time
November 21, 2016
It is a decent item to make cold brewed coffee with. A lot of recipes will tell you to stack laryers of cheese cloth when making cold brewed coffee. I know by experience, that is very hard to do with this. Most of my recipes wouldn't pour through more than one layer of these and usually ended up in me making a huge mess. I have found more uses for cheese cloth than I could have imagined when I bought it. I have never had experience using cheese cloth before this, but really liked this product. It has a very silky feeling, but feels rugged enough to last multiple uses (and has lasted multiple uses).

Meh.

Had breaks multiple times while pressing apples. Ended up buying a $3 pillow cases to do the job. Would be great for softer straining practices, but not apple pressing. Cloth was rendered useless the second time I used it.

Okay cheese cloth, like any other kind in stores
May 29, 2017
I bought some cheese cloth from Pure-Acres Farm and it's just like any other cheese cloth you'd buy in stores.
Not for applying finish!
October 28, 2016
Well, it appears as standard cheesecloth but it is definitely not suitable for fine finishing. In my case, finishing a table top. It left fine pieces of thread/cloth in the finish when it was viewed from an angle while drying. I will have to resand it and start over. Maybe we can use the cheesecloth in the kitchen, where this cheesecloth is more suitable.
I liked this product
September 16, 2016
I liked this product, however it was a lot thinner/weaker than I thought it was going to be. Even with it being pretty thin I feel like it will probably do its job and last a long time. It's good for the price!

I AM NEW TO USEING CHEESE CLOTH SO. I GOT IT TO COOK A WHOLE CHICKEN IN THE CROCK POT. IT DOES GOOD AT HOLDING STUFF TOGATHER BUT I DID HAVE A BIT OF A HARD TIME CLEANING IT TO REUSE. I AM NOT SO SURE IT WILL HOLD UP LONG.
But like other reviewers
July 22, 2016
The cheesecloth did what it was supposed to do! I was able to wrap meats in it (double up on layers of I needed to) and strain herbs for tea. The product worked well for me. But like other reviewers, the cheesecloth was very linty after being cut and since it's so thin, it's hard to put a flame close to it to burn them off and seal it. It also seems to be a one time use.

Overall, decent product and just need minor improvements.

December 11, 2016
While it is most likely very clean, there were a clear amount of residues coming off of the cheese cloth deeming the filtered material now unusable. Be careful and watch for particles/fibers falling in!
Thick, durable material, maybe too good?
August 12, 2016
No problems with the seller or the shipping but I won't buy this again. It didn't work well for the purpose I had intended. I use it to strain cold brew coffee and the material wouldn't allow the liquid through until it was saturated and wet (if that makes sense). It Is good strong material so it may work great for a different purpose.

Was a good deal when it was 5 square yards for 10 dollars, the 2 square yard version is a rip off and lower quality
Maybe for others it is better
April 14, 2016
Maybe I'm wrong, but I thought the description states it was corn free. I'm allergic to corn and had a serious reaction.
False description, only 18 sq ft.
March 24, 2016
Only 18 sq ft, not 45. It appears they have had this false description for years now. Even the photo is deceitful, as the cheesecloth I received was a much smaller amount than pictured.
False description, poor quality.
November 1, 2014
The description of the cheesecloth says 45 sq ft, but I received only 18, 2x+ less than I ordered. Also, the cheesecloth’s quality is very poor, visibly so much lint, and the weave is too wide (I’m attaching pics). The bottom line is that this cloth is poor quality, overpriced, and the description is not just deceiving, it is false.
