Best of all, I have refilled it twice, and it continues to work (unlike other butane lighters I've owner, which were made by a company whose name starts with a "C" and ends in "olibri").The only flaw is that if you set the flame adjustment knob near the bottom (or even the 1st half of its range) the lighter will not light. However, once the valve is open, it works exactly as it should. Beautifully made! Great lighter. February 21, 2016 Beautiful lighter, nicely made. Great quality. It was easy to fill and works perfectly every time I use it. The key is to use ultra premium butane. I use the product from Colibri. Follow directions that come with lighter and you won't have a problem. I say this because of some of the comments and reviews I have read. All I can say this will not be the only lighter I purchase from this company. Get with the shiny chrome finish! January 29, 2016 I bought this lighter as a gift for my boyfriend, and watching him use it I'm glad I did. He (unfortunately) loves to smoke while driving, and this lighter never fails even with all the windows down. In fact, due to the variable control, it can be TOO powerful if turned all the way up. In that setting it would be an ideal camping lighter. It's easy to refill, but you may need a new tip for your butane can if you don't have them already. It comes in a nice little suede satchel, and has a warranty! So if it ever breaks, he won't be stealing my Bics ;)I wouldn't buy such an expensive lighter for myself because I always lose them, but this would make a great gift or purchase for the responsibly-inclined. September 2, 2015 I have a pretty active lifestyle and it took plenty of phones and other items to realize when purchasing items I use daiky, I need to be sure they're durable and made of quality materials that will last.Having said that, I didn't apply this thought to this purchase.I figured this lighter would be used only in my home for private uses.That however wasn't to be. Upon arrival the Orion Double Jet Lighter impresses with its extremely modern-day style yet still holds a sense of refinement.I've dubbed it my Modern-day Gentleman's Lighter.I love how light it is. It's noticeable in weight but not in a way that will keep you aware of its presence in your pants or jacket pocket.The flame and usage are top notch.I've had mine for over 2 weeks and never once has it shown signs of mechanical failure.I am absolutely satisfied withn my purchase.It arrived quickly and in perfect condition and the lighter has functioned without fail.Thanka to Scorch Torch for an exceptional product.I will absolutely recommend this item to my friends.I will also recommend the seller when mentioning it. Scorch Torch lighter August 22, 2014 This lighter is great. It came in the mail on time and unfilled. When you do fill it bleed the air out before you fill it because being in a hot mail truck it gets pressurized in the tank. But this lighter lights every time, and has the same flip top mechenizim as the zippos. When you do light it make sure you do not have your finger on the metal ring around the burners. That does get hot. But overall I do recommend this product. | 53% Great lighter, perfect for cigars. September 6, 2017 This is no kids toy lighter (why you would let a kid play with a lighter I do not know) it is the real deal. I love mine and can't imagine how I ever lit a cigar with one of those dreaded, lesser disposable kids toy lighters. Also you can make the flame get about 7 inches tall, which is cool for showing off to your friends. As far as the number of lights to one tank I can't really say because I don't use it often enough to ever remember how many lights I have made with one tank. Its a really high quality lighter though. Gorgeous lighter April 2, 2017 I own three lighters from this brand, they've all worked well.I at one time in my life, I bought expensive ($100+) lighters. So, I'm familiar with different quality levels. I have to say, if you put this lighter in my hand and told me you paid $35 -$45 for it, I wouldn't bat an eye.My only gripe, I wish there was a butane tank viewing window. It's extremely helpful to know progress when filling. I love this thing March 16, 2017 I love this thing, I actually have two now. The only gripe I could even think of is that when filling it, I can't really tell when it's filling or actually full. I don't know if there's some way to tell, so I just hold the butane on there for a while and everything is great Great lighter. I am a cigar smoker November 21, 2015 Great lighter. I am a cigar smoker, and though three torches aren't really needed, I prefer it. Yes, there is not visible fuel tank, but those seem to get slow leaks quicker than lighters with solid tanks. As many a cigar smoke knows, almost no lighter lights "every" time, and there are wind resistant lights but no true wind "proof" lighters. Also, yes, you can buy $130 lighters that virtually always light, 99 times out of a hundred instead of 95 times out of a hundred, and the jets are sometimes a bit more wind resistant - but I have never found one I cant blow out by trying. If you smoke cigars long enough you start to realize the only wind proof fire sources that "always" light are industrial butane tank torches used to start bon fires and the like. Also, all lighters eventually die. You can spend the $130 I guess, and if it lasts you 20 years instead of two, you will eventually have made a good purchase. Unless you loose it. You buy those lighters for the way they look - which isn't a bad reason - its just the only reason. No Zippos don't have these issues, but those are not torch lighters and they require maintenance too. All i can say is; if you are a cigar smoker still looking for the perfect lighter, you haven't been smoking long enough. Money well spent November 19, 2015 I have now had this for 2 months and use it x's a day every day. I love it.........,I would have to say this is a great product if you're tired of going to the store and buying a torch over and over to light whatever you desire such as your coal for your hookah a really fancy and good cigar or other types of medicine this one is the way to go it lights every time I push the button extremely easy to refill and came with instructions of how to care for it best money I have ever spent and I've had it for about a month now refilled it multiple times and still have no issues Great lighter August 11, 2015 I really like this torch. It lights almost every time I ask it to and feels good in the hand. I like that the punch is on the bottom of the lighter and doesn't flip out like most others. This allows you to use it on pretty much any size cigar you need to. The triple flame is great for lighting cigars and the height adjuster works easily. Make sure you properly bleed the gas when refilling and wait the recommended 10 minutes after filling before using.I purchased this lighter over the other more generic Scorch lighters due to the styling - I wanted something a little different than what other people had. I really like the styling on this lighter as it stands out among other lighters. Four Star Reviews: | 21% Great for the price. July 8, 2017 This is a pretty good torch for what you are paying for. I have had some issues refilling the torch. If you don't clear ALL the remaining butane before refilling it can cause a lot of trouble trying to refill. I have had a couple times while refilling that the butane blows back and sprays all over. Other than that it works great. The double flame does a great job lighting my cigars. I think next time I'll go with a single flame torch but this one does what it needs too. Would recommend if someone is looking to get a cheaper torch lighter. Very Satisfying Purchase October 30, 2016 Pros: Stainless steel, sturdy design, functions beautifully, flame adjustment nob, has two torches instead of one.Cons: The cap has a small amount of give around the hinge. Enough so that you can hear a rattle if you shake it back and forth, but this isn't a big deal for me. This is the only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars.Honestly though, for $11 it's an amazing lighter. I would definitely recommend to a friend. Granted I only use it for my occasional cigar and a few miscellaneous things around the house such as lighting candles and what have you. If you smoke a lot or plan on using it on a daily basis, I might suggest something a little nicer. Does its job well, and looks cool doing it. April 10, 2016 Very nice-looking and feeling lighter. It lights pretty consistently but it uses fuel pretty fast. I don't smoke, I use this lighter as a tool, heating up wire and such and it does this very, very well. This is by far the hottest flame in a lighter that I've ever seen. It can MELT WIRE in under ten seconds. It's amazing. I suggest keeping it a a low flame size setting when you first get it. The flame on its highest setting is taller than the lighter itself. Not kidding. I've seen a lot of bad reviews saying "I just got this and it doesn't work". It doesn't come with fuel! They cant legally ship these kind of lighters with fuel in them. If people read the description on an item before purchasing, life would be so much easier for the sellers. Overall I really like this lighter. If you are considering buying this know that you will have to buy a lot of fuel. It sucks it up like candy. Fireworks lighter, will last for little while before fireworks will likely ruin this lighter November 15, 2015 I bought this lighter with the sole intention of using it as a cheap butane torch for my fireworks hobby. Nothing is better for lighting fireworks that a butane torch in my opinion. Initial flame burns super hot that immediately ignites wicks. This lighter functions perfectly for this use, though after the second firework season, the lighter has started to work only sporadically and sometimes will not light even though i hear the release of butane gas. I believe it is because of the gunk buildup from the firework wicks that produce black smoke and gunk or burn marks to things that are around them. I have tried to clean out the lighters butane release valves and that seemed to work a little bit, but never got back to its original status of always lighting with the flick of the lighter. I have used other butane torches for fireworks and some are not designed like a cigar lighter such as this one, and those work much better as they are designed to do more than just light cigars or cigarettes, though they can be a bit pricier Very happy, but some things to be aware of... October 9, 2014 Great for the price. It's nice to be able to pull this guy out when asked for a light. It looks good and works just as well. Due to the duel jet flame it eats through fuel like candy, but does it with style. I usually light for a group of people, so I get my moneys worth by lighting two cigarettes at once.While at first glance it looks high end, but upon closer inspection, you can see the nitty-picky details of imperfection. But it is by no means a low quality lighter. Could be more efficient though. To improve efficiency I just turn down the flame adjuster, you only need a low jet flame to get a cigarette going. I suggest turning it down when lighting cigars, sense the jet can scorch the wrapper. A low flame is a great general setting, unless you intend to impress.Overall, great buy, very happy. Best for the price April 29, 2014 This lighter looks nice, and is functional. It has a few quips though, the spring on the cover isn't very good, and the cover doesn't always align with the base. Also, although the description said new, mine already had finger prints and even noticeable scratches on it. Besides that though, it works, and is a nice lighter to have.Edit: I have found a few more problems for those interested, it scrathes very easily, so be careful. I ended up sanding most of the body, which has actually made it look better in my opinion. And one more very crucial thing, the gas is set to come out AFTER the spark. This means you'll usually have to press the button twice in quick succession to get a succesful ignition. Also, I have found the fuel tank to be rather small. Besides that though, it's sturdy, feels good in the hand, and overal good for the price. One last good thing, the noises it makes when you flip it open or closed, are EXTREMELY satisfying.Edit 2: I was wrong about the small fuel tank, as it turns out, you just need to wait longer for all the butane to go on, it takes much longer than you average lighter to fill. once that's done though, it runs for a very respectable amount of time. | 14% OK Lighter for the Price June 16, 2017 OK lighter - burns triple flame very hot, lights almost everytime, is solid and a little heavy, does not have an easy flame adjustment wheel and requires a screwdriver to adjust, does not have a fuel window to show butane level and is reasonably priced. Easy to light cigars with the flame but is overkill for cigarettes or other items not requiring the heat to light of a cigar. May or may not meet your requirements. Nice March 24, 2017 Feels goo in your hand and looks really nice. My only complaint is that it ignites on the 3-4 flick each time. It would be awesome if it worked on the 1-2 flick. Great lighter January 14, 2017 I purchased my Dominator from Amazon by chance. My goal was to purchase my brother a decent and inexpensive torch to go with a box of cigars for Christmas. Well once I filled the lighter, and spent some time playing and lit a cigar for myself my brother ended up with a box of decorative wooden matches, that were more expensive than the lighter. Lighter? No. Dominating torch is right. The flame is intense with a consistent burn across the three jets and a enough heat to solder copper. It has a solid feel and the pouch works well. I also enjoyed the functional vent on the front of the lighter. Most lighter I've found in this price range do not have the same quality in appearance and feel in your hand. They're a few cons with the lighter. I have been having some issues filling the lighter. There seems to be alot of overflow and I haven't found a good adapter, an image of the proper nozzle adapter would be helpful and there is no viewing port or window that the butane levels can be observed. Overall I thought this was a great product for the money and would recommend it to friends. Pretty Awesome! April 22, 2016 I absolutely love this lighter! This may seem a little pyromaniac-ish but I love watching my friends try to light a cigarette with it only to find they've burned it in half! This thing lights and when it does it burns bright! I've read they get up to 1,500 Fahrenheit but as far as testing it I can't say much. I will tell you it lit a park bench on fire in seconds, though! Not that I run around lighting park benches on fire or anything... Anyway, the only problem I've experienced so far is that I have to click it two or three times in order for it to light properly. I'm not sure if its because of the spark mechanism of if its the actual butane coming out too quickly, regardless this isn't the only torch lighter with this problem and you'll be hard pressed to find one that doesn't. Other than that I really have no complains. Great job guys, I'll be watching for more products from you! and I like it. After purging it per the directions April 2, 2016 Received the lighter today, and I like it. After purging it per the directions, filled it with butane and it fired right up. Tried it 10 times or so, and it works just fine. One disappointment with it... I wish it had a fuel level indicator... I have no idea if I got the lighter full or not. And the directions say to fill it to 80%, but there is no way to know that. And, if I could see that it was low on fuel, I would simply empty the remaining fuel and refill the lighter before I took it out again. It does what it's advertised to do and it looks good. Good lighter, but 1 defect July 22, 2017 Very good lighter, but the fueling tip at the bottom is slightly off to one side. That makes it a little difficult for me to fill the lighter (fuel leaks while I'm filling up).But once the fuel is in it works great. Great until the ignition stopped working. August 21, 2016 Was great while it lasted. Good flame. Easy to adjust the flame. Solid feel. I used it almost daily for about 10 months before it broke on me.The issue is with the ignition. Seem alike there's something inside that isn't moving back into place so the ignition button can work. It still moves gas and whatnot. It's just the ignition that isn't working.If this was something I hadn't spent 10 or 11 dollars on I wouldn't mind the failure. Unsure whether I'll buy another to replace this. Read all the reviews on how to light it the first time, still took a few additional clicks. But, once it took off the first time, fires right up and burns nicely. The lighter that was sent to me has a cigar punch mechanism that flips-out from the side rather than the bottom. It also has a black colored wrapping. Functionally, it's nearly the same, and honestly I don't have any complaints about the difference - but if you're ordering this thing, be prepared to receive a model slightly different than the one shown in the pictures.Pros: Looks beautiful. Feels very heavy and solid. Well constructed. Fits in pocket. Great flame. Inexpensive.Cons: As several reviewers have mentioned, this lighter tends to misfire 3 or 4 times before successfully lighting. That isn't a massive problem, but there are other lighters that light successfully on the very first click. Other than it no longer working, the outer shell is very sturdy, the size is just what i was looking for to keep in my pocket, and as I said, the flame is great. just don't plan on using it too often. Useless after 2 months. October 30, 2016 The ignition spark quit after 2 mos. Otherwise it was a nice lighter, easy to fill and flame adjustable without a screwdriver. But as I said after 2 mos. it is useless. The good ones work great but the bad ones are almost ... October 25, 2016 I have ordered two of these because I lost my first one in a river. The first one worked flawlessly. The jet could be changed and the gas stream was always consistent. It had trouble lighting on occasion but it was infrequent enough to where I didn't mind.The second lighter I received however, was much less functional. The stream of gas is inconsistent, it lights less frequently than not and the flame does not adjust when I turn the valve on the bottom of the lighter. Inconsistent quality. The good ones work great but the bad ones are almost unusable. Lip slightly misaligned but performs well. Scratched easily. January 11, 2016 Lip slightly misaligned but performs well. You can carry Bic lighters but not torch lighters on board planes.So I purchased another one. This one has a flaw with the nozzle from day one. It flames way to high and if you try to turn it down it just sputters at the same height. Not sure what the basic design flaw it, or if this is just an occasional defect given that others have given it glowing reviews. But the Torch I received was a complete disappointment. Much like all the other blue flame lighters January 9, 2016 Much like all the other blue flame lighters, worked great for two weeks. Quit working. Yes, I refilled it using premium butane. Yes, I waited 10 minutes after filling it before using it.Just won't light or, if it does, goes out almost immediately.Total waste of money. Junk. Worst. Lighter September 29, 2015 Lighter #1 worked for a short time, and Lighter #2 worked for a little bit longer. Wrote to Scorch several months ago. No reply. Worst. Lighter. And Customer Service. Ever.
