Great wallet for a great price
April 1, 2017
This is a great wallet for a great price. If you're like me then you have a ton of cards from different banks/stores and never have enough room. This wallet not only holds all of them comfortably, but it never feels like it's too bulky like other wallets that I've owned. It does have a matte finish to it, which I like, so if you're looking for an old school "shiny" leather look then you may want to skip buying this one. Overall, I feel like it's very stylish and would certainly buy it again.
Keep your shape
March 19, 2017
I just said I love it, but how would I really know.. I have only had it a few days, but after only a few days of use, it still looks good and is holding together well. Now the test will be to see if it holds its shape instead of squishing out like an old fat hog. This is what happened to the one I bought earlier at Men's Wearhouse for 40 dollars.. My expensive Coach wallet finally gave up after many years of great service. When I went to get another, Coach had changed the design and the quality, so I passed on that event, and in a rush, went with the MW product. WRONG.. Junk!! But, it too looked good at the start. And, I should have known things would not go well when the lady working in the store told me there was no warranty on the MW product!! How do I know?? I ask!! OH, well, I was in a hurry, and it was a mistake!!! I hope this one makes up the difference!!!
Great product even better quality
February 8, 2017
I was searching for around a week for a new wallet my old one had literally fallen apart at the seams after around 4 years of heavy use. After spending every free minute online looking I decided to get the alpine Swiss gray wallet with removable dual ID windows. As far as comfort it fits well in most of my jeans. Some jeans I wear it fills the whole pocket and almost sticks out (not a big deal for me) after first opening the product upon arrival I was a little skeptic of how thick it actually is (somewhere close to an inch) after using for almost a week it has flattened itself down quite a bit. For storage purposes there are plenty of card holders as well as little "hidden" areas and plenty of room for loads of cash !!I would recommend this product if you're in the market !
Amazing buy, worth every penny
July 5, 2016
This is a very high quality wallet, for an extraordinary price. Very soft leather, good for 10+ cards, bills, and 2 Ids. Feels good in the hand, and is very comfortable in the pocket. It can get a bit bulky when totally filled, but given the volume, its concise and well organized. Great wallet, would recommend.
Much thicker than expected
January 5, 2016
I got this wallet only earlier in the week, so I can't really say much for durability and comfort. What I can say, is this wallet is MUCH thicker than I anticipated. After putting 5 cards and a drivers license in it, the total thickness of the wallet came to about 1 inch. Without the insert that holds two more cards with clear windows, the wallet is closer to about a half inch. One more thing, is it that it's very difficult to get my drivers license out of the insert that has the plastic film on it. I ended up cutting the top millimeter off my drivers license, which I know is not legal in some parts of the United States, but I looked up the law in Washington and Oregon, which vaguely say that what I did is OK.UPDATE: It's been 6 months, and this wallet is great. It's still soft, it has already formed to my butt, and still smells exactly like the day it arrived.
Great first impression, completely satisfied.
October 21, 2014
I have had this wallet for about a week now (I plan to revise this later when I've had it longer) and so far have no complaints. The wallet came in original packaging and is an authentic Swiss product. The leather is genuine and had a great feel and smell, and the stitching is quality showing no signs of weakening. I have had it in my pocket every day in dress pants and jeans and the Swiss icon does protrude, but I have not felt it or found it to be uncomfortable. The wallet was a tad bulkier than the travel wallet I was using, however, this holds a lot more. I put numerous cards in with room to spare.I really like the removable ID window (went with the double window model). The removable piece is great when I want to travel light (e.g. sporting events, bars, etc) where I don't want to risk my whole wallet being stolen or just taking up space. The removable piece has a small pocket (room for cash and/or a card or two) and the double pane is backed so the cards can slide out without scratching each other. The card pockets stagger every two cards, i.e. the first two slots have one depth, and the second two have a more shallow depth (so that your cards aren't as hard to pull out). A full stagger would have been better but two is fine. The cash pocket is deep and cash placed on it's side fits completely into the slot and doesn't show. The MSRP in the wallet was $45 which is far more than I paid on Amazon so I am 100% satisfied. More to come when I've had it longer.

This is the wallet for you!!!!!
June 2, 2016
Nice wallet, exactly as advertised! My husband wanted a slimmer wallet (he had a bifold with a middle divider thing for more card space) so he had me order this one.For a slim wallet, this still has decent storage space without getting bulky. With all his cards in it, this wallet is the size of his old when it was empty! He stuck 2 cards in each pocket and for the record, the outside pocket is loose, but still tight enough to hold one card without it falling out. If you stuck a card in the outside pocket and put it in your back pocket, I could see through friction of pulling it out possibly catching the card. Otherwise, a single card only slipped out when I pinched it at the fold and shook it like a fan.He loves his new wallet!!!!
Finally! Small + Secure
December 22, 2015
After 3 months of use:Great product! fits all my cards and effectively blocks NFC that was activated every time I placed my phone near my wallet.I wanted to have a smaller wallet, because i use it on my side pockets, not back pockets because i was hurting my back every time i sat down at work or in the car. So, best pro for me is size. I carry 8 cards + 2 IDs and a few bills and wallet doesn't bother in the pocket as my old wallet. The NFC blocking works on inner pockets, and you have an exterior pocket if you want to place a card you dont want to block llike a building access card.
Who says bigger is better?
November 3, 2015
I'm a man and also a bit of a hoarder - OK, a big hoarder. I realized it was time to toss those receipts from the '90s, and cocktail napkins with ideas for the next great American novel, when I started walking with a limp because the wallet/steamer trunk I was carrying was slowly crushing my soul. So I took a chance on this wallet and I am very pleased. I managed to fit the essentials I need in it, and it's so streamlined I feel naked when carrying it. And they have larger sizes for the George Costanzas of the world. I don't know if the RFID blocking technology works, but if anyone wants to steal my card info, I'll be on the SE corner of 5th and Main at 12 noon on Tuesday, the 10th of...
I like that this wallet is thin
October 29, 2015
I like that this wallet is thin, well made, and serves its purpose. It came wrapped in a protective coat of paper, inside a canvas pouch. Cardboard place holders made sure it was not damaged via transit. I ordered it in grey but what I got looked more like a medium brown. Bummer, because grey is my favorite color, but not something worth the process of return/exchange.
I bet the replacement wasn't like that. There will always be a bad example ...
January 9, 2015
I bet this is the nicest wallet (of this style) you can buy for 10 bucks. Exactly as pictured. Another reviewer gave it a low score because it was scratched or a thread was loose??. I bet the replacement wasn't like that. There will always be a bad example of a product getting out from time to time. Looks to be well stitched and a nice quality leather. And yes, it's a little tight with cards at first. It's leather, people. You always make leather products with the expectation that they will stretch slightly. I have 10 standard plastic cards in mine and it's still nice and slim.
Great Wallet
January 8, 2015
This is just what I was looking for in a slim wallet. The quality is very good on the one I received, and it has held up well so far. It holds several cards inside, the slots are a little tight but have loosened up with use. The whole design is well thought out and very user friendly. I use the exterior pocket for keeping my debit card in which makes for easy access when shopping, yet holds the card securely. I would definitely purchase this again or recommend this to a friend.

Good wallet for the price
August 26, 2017
For what it costs I didn't expect much but this wallet has exceeded my expectations. It's compact yet it holds what I need it to and thus far it has held up well. My only complaint is the protruding Swiss button emblem on the exterior can be uncomfortable if you sit for long periods- you just have to remember to have the emblem face outside when you put the wallet in your back pocket.
Great Price, Great Quality, Iffy ID Holder
August 22, 2017
The price for this is awesome. I like the soft leather. The stitching looks strong. Just the right about of pockets. Only bad part of it is the ID holder. It is a very tight fit, so much that I really have to put work into getting my IDs in and out of. I took the ID holder out eventually, and the pocket that holds it is too deep. If I put a card in the ID holder pocket, I wouldn't know it was there because it goes all the way down.
Good wallet, especially for the price
March 17, 2017
The leather is okay, not really high quality. My previous wallet had the removable license/credit card holder, which proved to be a nice feature if you want to just take basic ID and leave the bulk of the wallet behind, and I wanted to get something similar. This one comes close, but isn't quite as well designed. The lowest slot really isn't very usable on the pull out side, because if you fill it it basically makes the wallet too thick to close. As others have also said, things put in the top slots tend to slip down. OTOH, it does do the job reasonably well, and it's inexpensive.
Alpine Swiss or Bust.
October 31, 2016
Good build quality. The outside is a little slick, so if you have shallow pockets, beware. I also noticed that the bill compartment is a tight fit at first and the wallet like most others, will need to be broken in a bit before adding bills becomes easier than juggling wet eels as you stand on a bed of coals to put away. The ID pocket is also a tight fit, so if you need to remove your ID or License on a regular basis, you may want to work it a little with your fingers to try and seat the seams. The only major drawback for me is the emblem. It's like a tiny M&M that will quickly rub a little thin spot in your pants if it is facing out. It does make for easy retrieval of the wallet from your pocket though.
Nice leather bi-fold wallet
September 7, 2016
This is a nice bi-fold wallet and it seems to be made well. It's genuine leather and the stitching seems like it will hold up for a while. The only thing that I didn't like is that the corners are pointed. Not really a big deal, but they seem to catch a little since it is still new and the leather is rigid. Maybe rounded corners could help but it's a nice thing and just more of a personal preference. Overall I like the wallet and would recommend it.
Aside from the color, it's not too shabby.
February 19, 2015
I needed an affordable bifold wallet and that's what I got. While the color is not as appealing as the photo shown for the product (see my photos for reference), it suits my needs: money, credit card(s), and business card(s).

Stinks at first but then is excellent
July 20, 2017
It smells like leather for the first couple weeks. What I mean is, if you have it in your car with you then you will be able to smell it no matter where it's at. Did you leave your phone on it for a few minutes? Now your phone smells like leather. Once that smell dissipates this is actually a great product. It's probably my favorite wallet I have owned.
Thin to win
December 14, 2015
It seems too thin, and almost cheap as a result of it not being bulky. But it's so far my best compromise in terms of function, security, and comfort. A larger wallet just sucks to sit on. This one I rarely notice. I did have to downsize the cards and such I carry, but that ended up being a good thing for me. Having used it daily for a couple months now, it's started to wrinkle a bit and look like weathered leather vs pristine shiny, which I prefer. All of the edges have rolled in a bit and started to push & pull the stitching, but so far remain 100% intact. I expect it'll last another 3-6 months as I'm pretty rough on wallets.
Nice Wallet
May 6, 2015
Great wallet for the price. I cannot speak for longevity. I do, however, have one issue and a comment. My issue is with the outer pocket. A big reason I picked this wallet. It is WAY to big. I had to put 3 cards in there(only planned on using one) and they still fall out very easily. My comment relates to the padding that is sewed into the lining. Not a fan but not that big a deal.
Excellent slim wallet
March 28, 2015
Great slim wallet. I love how it feels. The texture is very nice. The quality seems on par with other wallets I have bought in the past. It's by no means top of the line but it gets the job done. I don't expect my wallet to last more than a yr or so. I expect this wallet will more than reach that. My only gripe (and it's a small one) is that the main pockets on the inside do not fit standard length business cards. Wasn't a big deal. I just snipped the edge of the cards off. Not even noticeable on the card. Recommended 100% for someone that doesn't carry much in their wallet. It u have 5 or 6 credit cards or gift cards this is not the wallet for u.
Excellent buy for the price!
January 5, 2015
This wallet arrived identical to what is shown in the picture. The leather quality and overall durability seem excellent for the $10 I paid. I really like the clear ID screen, and it's very easy to slide out whatever you store in there.I have only rated this four stars because the listing advertises it as "slim fold," which it is when it's clamped shut, but it tends to hang open a little bit, making it slightly fatter than I expected. I will update this review after a few weeks when the leather has been worked in a little bit.UPDATE: It only took a few days for the leather to really wear in nicely and it feels even slimmer than my friend's DynoMighty wallet I used while I waited for this one to arrive.Another slight concern: the pockets on the left are just barely big enough for my credit cards, some of them take too much tugging and adjusting to insert/remove. Again, I will update this review once the pockets have been worn in.UPDATE: The pockets remain quite small, and some of my business cards have to be cut or folded down to fit in them. It's not a major irritance, but quirky nonetheless.Overall, I highly recommend this wallet. For $10, you cannot lose.
Card Pockets are "Tight" - use 2 cards to stretch.
November 29, 2014
Found wallet too "tight" to start. Hard to get cards in and out. However, added 2nd card to a slot to stretch for a few days, pulled cards in and out. Process worked and the cards are still snug, but will slide out. Wallet is "Thin", if you want to carry more than say half dozen cards, get a thicker model. I find Hammer Anvil quality so far very good. A year from now I'll know better. :)

Ok wallet, but...
September 13, 2017
An ok wallet but a couple things I don't like. One is that stupid logo/button they put on the wallet and you can't remove it. The other thing is this wallet has slid out of my pocket a couple of times already but luckily I noticed.I'll keep the wallet for now but I'll be replacing it down the line.
Stupid metal disk logo on the exterior
December 3, 2016
Functionally it's great but I really object to the little metal disk of the companies logo attached to the wallet. Who wants a metal disk poking into their rear end? I would try to remove it but I'm afraid it would tear the wallet.
Deceiving Images but a Decent Wallet
November 30, 2016
Previous wallet had torn in the mid-section so I needed one quite fast. I was pleased to see this in the daily deal section and was satisfied with the price. There's plenty of color choices to chose from, however, some are a bit deceiving. I had opted to buy the grey leather version, and in the picture it's shown as a very dark grey, almost black leather. Unfortunately, the wallet I received was only several shades darker than pure white, far from the image description, far misleading my purchase. The wallet itself is okay, and I'm not sure where potential problem spots will appear with tearing and lose threads. It's quite tight though, and some of the cards could be difficult to remove until heavily worn in. It's also a very, very large wallet for a bifold, something I wasn't use to. There's an excess of room for cash-checks to be placed in its pocket as well as any receipts or other items.Overall I'll give it the 3/5 for wallet. 1 Star for the misleading image, and 1 for the size in relation to many previous wallets from other manufactures.
Lasted 2 years, uses recycled Cough Syrup packaging as lining
August 27, 2016
It lasted about 2 years since I bought it on Amazon, until becoming completely worn out. The funniest part of the experience: The lining of the cash section came apart, revealing inside some Indian Cough Syrup cardboard packaging that was used as the structure of the wallet!
Nice wallet with one flaw!!!
January 8, 2016
This product came as expected. It has a nice quality feel and look. One complaint ~ When the wallet is closed there is a small Alpine Swiss logo in the bottom left corner that is raised like a button. There is not way to remove it and it sticks out from the leather. If you put the wallet in your back pocket the wrong way you can feel the raised logo when you sit down.
It just isn't as nice a wallet
October 6, 2015
It's just OK but not the same quality as the last identical wallet I had used a few years ago and just today trashed. The 'removable' card case was jammed into a card space on the RH side and had to be physically yanked out, leaving a wrinkle that will never come out - it's too wide. I 'salvaged' one that was from a Geoffry Beane wallet from years back that I had used for seldom needed items and it fit perfectly. The card spaces on the LH side might work with someone's cards but for sure wont accept a standard size US credit or business card or similar size other plastic card. I'll probably return to the Levi's brand wallet next time. At least everything fits though that one too needs some QA help

January 8, 2017
Very slim. Leather quality is not very good. Also card slots are very tight.
For $20 it's okay
August 27, 2016
It is a bit too big. Measures a little over 3 inches in height. This makes the pocket on the outside bigger than any cards I have and they keep slipping out so I don't think i'll be putting anything in there. It looks good but some of the stitching is coming apart. Mind you, I have only had this thing for a week. And I'm not sure how to test the RFID protection.
great design, but did not last long enough.
October 5, 2015
I love the design of this wallet. I bought it a year ago, but sadly the seams have given out. I feel like a year is not very long for a wallet to last, so I will not be purchasing another one of these
Ooh ooh that smell!!! Can't you smell that smelll!?!?!
May 6, 2015
I liked everything about this product, except for one thing. The wallet had a very noticeable chemical odor (much more than the common smell associated with new leather products). I felt compelled to leave the wallet outdoors and near an open window at my office in order to reduce the odor. It took more than two weeks to get the wallet to a condition where the odor was no longer overpowering. In regard to the service and and other aspects of the wallet, I have no complaints. It was delivered timely and the quality and workmanship of the wallet are excellent for the price.
... star wallet if it had managed to stay gray like it was the day it arrived in the mail
March 13, 2015
This would be a 5 star wallet if it had managed to stay gray like it was the day it arrived in the mail. After 2 months it turned into an average boring medium brown. It has held up well, but the only thing still gray is the nice pinstripe material lining the cash area.
Nice upgrade to my big old wallet.
January 29, 2015
** 1 year update. Stitching Falling apart. Need new wallet.3 month update: still holding up great and I'm still happy with this wallet.I like it. Fits most my cards, some cash and some misc business cards. It's just a more compact version of my regular wallet, which I like. Leather is smooth and color is unique (greyish/brown). Fits comfortably in my front pocket.

Too small
June 22, 2017
This wallet is too small for any card, they just to tight, I tried to put my Id in the transparent compartment and then I realized that i always have to show my id when i visit friends in their communities, no way to do that it would be easier to give them the entire wallet 😒
I wish this could have been a positive review but, not this time...
April 16, 2017
I have, for years, enjoyed many Alpine Swiss products. They have proved to be useful, sturdy, and durable. But not this time.Sadly, as much as I wanted to give this wallet a good review there is one flaw that makes this wallet unacceptable to me. The removable ID folder with view windows proved to be just too small for my Texas-issued IDs. It was difficult to get the IDs into the pockets and nearly impossible to remove them. At one point I was afraid I would have to cut the IDs out.For me, the windowed folder is crucial feature I need. Because of this particular flaw, this wallet is useless to me.For others, this could be a perfect solution. This wallet is well built and fine looking. I passed it on to a friend who has used it since. It has held up well for him. He uses it daily and it shows virtually no wear and is holding up as well as all the other Alpine Swiss products I have used or encountered.
Only lasted 4 years. Get what you paid for?
March 12, 2017
The reviews are overhyped. This thing fell apart. I bought it in 2013, and I was hoping it would last longer. Pic included of it tearing up.
OK wallet, but not quality.
February 13, 2017
You get what you pay for. I paid $15 for a wallet, I got a $15 wallet. The insert corners are folded as it was half-heartedly crammed into its pocket and the outer emblem is cracked and scuffed. The outer skin of the wallet has the impression of the folded insert corners as they stressed and stretched leather. You're not getting a deal here. This is not a wallet worth $45. At $15, it's okay, but that's the most I'd consider for this.
MASSIVE downgrade in quality - be aware
February 25, 2016
BIG disappointment, do NOT buy anymore. I had originally bought this same wallet about 1 year ago, and it was excellent - the smell of pure leather, the feel, and professional touch that went into it, and plus it actually had 2 slots for your bills. Now? You get a piece of plasticy-feeling crap that smells like PURE CHEMICALS. Things don't bend very smoothly either, takes forever to slide your cards/ID out due to the material sticking to the plastic surfaces. Still, it is a functional wallet, and the flip-up ID panel is very practical. Cannot believe these guys sold out.
Wait a second, this isn't the wallet I ordered.
January 11, 2015
While I would love to be able to give an amazing review for this product, I didn't receive it. Instead, Alpine Swiss saw fit to send me http://www.amazon.com/Alpine-Swiss-Leather-Flipout-Trifold/dp/B00JOTTZC2/ref=cts_ap_1_fbt which is still a nice wallet, but not the one I ordered. I don't like the wallet I received since I also have a money clip with an ID window, so wanted a wallet without an ID slot or at least a removable one. While the wallet I received does have more storage slots behind the flip out ID panel, it isn't removable. Oh, and since this is apparently sold directly from Alpine Swiss, I can't even do an exchange. I have to get a refund first then re-order the correct product and hope the get it right next time.

Looked really good at the beginning
June 17, 2017
Looked really good at the beginning, and it has all the pockets I needed, so I was pretty happy at first. Unfortunately, the leather or whatever material is used expanded quite a bit, to a point where it is not usable after only a couple of months of use. The cards all slide out from the slots, and while it looks great in the pictures (and when you first get it), unfortunately after a little while, it is so loose that it is almost useless - I certainly don't want to drop my IDs or credit cards when I open my wallet, and sadly that is what happens after a little while. I was fortunate in that the first time it happened, the store found my card, and I was able to retrieve it. After that I started putting them all in the interior pocket .. but that doesn't work either - what I have now is a jumble of cards, and I have to pull them all out, and then get to the one I need. And it's not like I stuffed cards in the slots - I only put one card per slot. Hate to leave negative reviews, but the reason I bought it was for the pockets, and if you have narrowed it down because you are thinking about being able to organize your cards in the slots, I would recommend against it.
It smells like formaldehyde and feels like those cheap 70's couch covers ...
April 21, 2017
When I ordered this wallet, the description said genuine leather. I went back to double check after receiving the wallet that it said genuine leather. It did, in fact. Genuine leather, my ass! It smells like formaldehyde and feels like those cheap 70's couch covers people used to put on their pleather furniture to keep them from getting messed up. Love the design, but don't send me a nylon pile of crap and descrip it as leather!
Chemical Odor
March 12, 2017
Strong chemical smell. Stay away from this one. Name is misleading, it is a product made in India and not Switzerland. I threw it away because the smell would not go away even after three weeks. The chemical residue on it made my skin itch.

Has a VERY strong chemical smell- returning it!I tried placing it in a well ventilated area to try and get rid of the smell, but it would not go.Smell actually sticks to the hands.Feels very poisonous- do yourself a favor and do not buy!
The smell is awful.
November 5, 2016
This wallet smells so bad. I bought a leather wallet and there is no hint of leather smell. I think the leather was soaked in a bucket of formaldehyde. If the smell doesn't go away, I'm returning it. By the way. The color is blackI would rate the other aspects, but who cares, this thing smells toxic. I won't even let it in the house....it stays in the truck.
Emblem sticks out
October 6, 2015
Returning wallet because Swiss emblem on the wallet sticks out over 1/8 inch and can not be removed. This is not obvious in the pictures. It will bulge in a pocket and could wear a hole in the fabric or be uncomfortable.
