but they seem to be pretty good quality
July 7, 2017
I am a gigging musician, and needed some spares for special occasions. I haven't had them long, but they seem to be pretty good quality. No buzz, no hum and crystal clear.Cables are nice and thick and have nice little ties to keep them coiled nicely when you're done.2 pack makes it even sweeter. Great cable for the money, will buy them again when the time comes.
Would recommend to

Well made and durable. No issues with noise or quality of the sound. Would recommend to others
High Quality Cables for a Good Price
March 6, 2017
These are high quality cables for an excellent price. Each pair comes packed in a nice box, a pleasant surprise. The cables are thick and sturdy, yet supple and easy to work with. They have black metal housings and gold-plated connectors. I haven't had them long enough to know how they'll hold up in the long run, but I get the impression they'll stand the test of time. Only time will tell, but for now, I have no reason not to give them a solid five stars. Great product.
Black ends help you keep them separate from other people's cables
December 30, 2016
Works great. Love the lengths. They have come in handy when the drums are far away from everything else.I especially love that the black ends help me keep these separate from other people's cables. I had marked all of mine with green electrical tape. And then a sound crew had theirs marked the same way with each color tape representing a different cable length (smart!). Then the black color on these helped us keep them straight when they would have been mixed up. It was a surprising benefit.
I just realized I have more of these than I thought!
December 17, 2016
I've bought these a couple of times now (as I count them I believe I have eight cables, all for short runs). I run them on my desk monitors and sub-woofer, and I use them as one of many patch cables on my PA rack. They are not Neutrik but a solid clone with gold-tipped pins and a Darth Vadar-black vibe. Definitely 16 gauge, very stiff cable giving them a quality feel, but I don't think I'd like the stiffness on a twenty foot run to a mic. They are perfect for what I use them for at a great price.
Awesome value and sound quality
July 29, 2016
We use these at my church to send audio from a laptop, to the snake, back to the board. Overall, great value! The sound quality is awesome, so I would not hesitate for a second to use these in studio—16AWG oxygen-free wire and gold-plated connectors make a difference. The cable jackets and strain reliefs are well built, but I do feel that the jacks will loosen over time and are not of the best quality construction. If you need something more rugged (for a vocalists microphone), look for Neutrik connectors. For patching equipment, save the money and grab these!

Great cables
September 15, 2017
Received these last night and set up a snake for my rack with wirelesses in it.They seem very well constructed. One cable had a broken end but this is just a normal defect. I would've sent it back but we were able to mount it in the rack without any issues. I will definitely buy more of these.
short cable, just what I needed, nothing to trip over.
July 22, 2017
They work fine, the amp ends do seem less tight then another longer one I use sometimes, and if move it around it has broken up the sound, however it has not failed during a performance, just don't stand there and wiggle it while you perform, all kidding aside it's settle in fine.
good price - good quality
April 27, 2017
works fine - no issues or hisses
They're as good as any other cheap cable, better than some.
March 6, 2017
They'll get the job done. You want high quality you have to pay for it, like 45$ for a single Mogami 3ft cable. You want cheap and durable, buy these.
Good quality cables for the price.
September 18, 2016
Good quality mic cable for the price. The cable has a thick rubber jacket that is flexible and the inner wires are good quality, all copper conductors, at least 20 guage. The cable has an all copper braided shield with drain wire and the XLR connectors appeared to have been well soldered. The XLR connectors on the cables I received did not match the ones in the picture, but they were all black in color and they were still high quality with gold pins. Overall I am pleased with these cables.
Good quality cables
February 29, 2016
Great cables, quality construction. The cables themselves are flexible and easy to work with. The male and female sleeves are metal and of good quality. I docked 1 star because the locking tab on the female plug is hard plastic (as is the release), rather than metal and won't mate correctly with the lock on my XMC-1 Pre/pro. Not a major issue, as the snug fit makes it unlikely to come loose anyways, even when moving equipment around. However, it does decrease the quality feel.

Works fine otherwise.
April 1, 2017
The cable isn't very flexible, very stiff in cold weather. Works fine otherwise.
Trying to find one that won't twist...
March 31, 2017
Seems to work fine. Trying to find a cable that won't twist when you wrap/coil it. I'll keep this cable but still looking.
Nice cable, but poor quality control
December 19, 2016
Nice cable, but poor quality control. One of the male ends was put together in such a way that the pins were crooked and would not fit into the jack. I had to take the connector apart to fine the cause - a plastic piece that was broken. I then had to cut the plastic to make a straight edge for the connector to rest upon and then was able to reassemble and it works properly now. This would have been easily caught with an inspection and/or testing process after final assembly.
These cables look and feel like better quality than most common cables
October 25, 2016
These cables look and feel like better quality than most common cables, but it took me a month or two to realize that the occasional popping coming from a speaker connected through one of them might have been the culprit. I didn't realize they had any issues until I tried to use one of them plugged into a microphone. They popped and hissed and connectivity went in and out for both. It disappoints me, but they weren't that expensive so I guess it's what I paid for. I'll have to get different cables to replace them soon.
Very nice cables for the price
April 3, 2016
been using these cables for awhile. this is my second ordere since i thought the quality and price was great. Nice quality so I ordered some 25' ones. they are a little stiff because they are a thicker grade which is good. they loosen up after awhile. the recent pair i was sent was missing a screw on one of the connectors which i guess ill have to replace before the cable shorts out. unfortunately ill have to lower my rating to 3 stars for that otherwise 4 stars. ive recomended these to a few others that have bought them and liked them as well
Microphone cable, no audio interconnect
January 28, 2016
When used with an Emotiva amp and preamp (short balanced cable), the detail in the highs can be a bad fit with some speakers. For me, this works best with soft dome tweeters. Metal tweeters can be overly bright sounding with these. When using this from the preamp to a subwoofer amp and then to the main amp, there is so much hum and noise as to be unusable. The sub I use is an SVS PC12+ for reference. I suspect the electronics are well designed and the noise is is due to the shielding scheme. Lifting the ground does not remove the ground loop created by the cable wiring. In this case, the cable is a twisted pair with the ground and the shield tied together... at both ends (not good). This means that anything that the shield picks up is wired to the balanced ground. Good stuff, huh? This cable should only be used as an extension!I purchased some Belden shielded 3C cable to replace this 2C cable. If you want something as an audio interconnect (not for a microphone extension), find something that is intended to be used between audio components. These will likely have individual conductors for each pin and the shield will only be tied to the preamp end... not both.

Worked Perfect. Died Suddenly.
June 6, 2017
The cables worked well for a little bit, and I figured I'd have one as a backup just in case. In less than a year, the first cable stopped working suddenly so I started using the extra, which proceeded to die less than a month later. Both cables died suddenly, where they worked perfectly at one point, and then mere hours later didn't work at all. Would not recommend.
5 jack sounds better than through the XLRs
March 11, 2017
Unfortunately, I used these about 10 times with a 3Dio and then one of the cables stopped working. The sound quality seemed off as well. The 3Dio has both XLR and a 3.5 jack that I run to the same Zoom H6, and the quality through the 3.5 jack sounds better than through the XLRs, which seems a bit suspect. Amazon allowed me to return these and I went with a different brand.
One stopped working after one day.
May 14, 2016
Got these for our church. Hooked one up as soon as I got it. Worked good for practice, next day during the service, mic didn't work, tried a different mic with the cord, still nothing. I assumed the cord was good, but we tried the other new one that came in the package anyway. It worked! So one of them in the pack worked for one day. I didn't even try to see if the second would last longer, I immediately returned both. They looked like they were decent quality but obviously either I got a defective one or they are poorly made.On a side note, Amazons return policy is painless and it was super easy to return the item.
Out of the frying pan and into the fire with these wires.
October 20, 2015
I've been dealing with a terrible hissing sound for ages; the good news is these wires fixed that. No noise, hum or hiss and that's a beautiful thing. HOWEVER, my recordings are now painfully warm. SO unbearably warm, which I understand is from the gold. It can be edited down if you know what you're doing but I would NOT recommend using these if you're not capable of editing properly.I also have a HUGE gripe with the length; these wires are NOT the length advertised. They count the entire cable from tip to tip as 3ft. The wire itself is less than 3ft. long. Personally, I have yet to decide if it's worth keeping. I've been debating getting my money back. Between how short these wires are combined with it's warmth making my $450 Shure microphone essentially useless, I can't give it more than two stars. And that's only because it got rid of my hissing problem.
Beware - Cheap Manufacturing
June 29, 2015
These looked great and worked well the first 10 uses. Then the auctioneer microphones started losing connections. At first I thought it may be a broken wire. But, after examining the cables the wires were good and the solder connections were good. Then I looked at the female connector pins. Apparently whoever manufactured these cable connectors went for the cheapest metal they could find. The female pins were bent out of shape and spread apart and no longer provided a solid connection for the microphone pins. All of the cables I had bought had the same problem. I ended up taking female connectors off of our old worn-out cables to fix the new cables.
At least 1 cable worked out of the package...
May 20, 2015
So I ordered the 2 pack of XLR cable and had no issues with ordering or shipment. Good so far. I received both cables and realized I didn't need the extra length. So I pulled one cable out of the box to use and left the other one packaged and stored the box. Plugged the cable into my AT2035 and the other end into my Focusrite Scarlett 2i2. Used audacity to record and the sound was very muddy and there was some sort of static in the pitch of my vocals. It wasn't so terrible that I couldn't record, but just bad enough to frustrate me after spending so much money on all this recording software. I couldn't figure out what it was? Was it the preamp? maybe the mic? Could it be the acoustics in my home? Maybe it was the DAW (Audacity). I tried everything. I tried recording in different rooms with no prevail. I tried using new DAWS, messing with the focusrite, hours and hours of research and could not find a solution to my problem. I even posted an extremely length help post on reddit including tons of audio files I had recorded to maybe see if I could pin point the issue. I figured it must be the USB audio interface? We'll after everything... someone suggested I swap the XLR cable just to see what happened. I was already out of options. So I went and opened the cable and swapped the first one out with the second. It fricken worked and not only did I feel pretty stupid the the issue was something so small. But I also felt extremely frustrated that something like an XLR cable just came bad straight out of the package. In fact the cable had such good reviews with no one posting any similar issues, that I just ruled out a bad XLR cable without actually testing it. How naive of me. Had I not got the 2 pack (Which gave me the ability to try a second XLR cable) I may have gone on to buy a new interface and even a new mic. I'm not saying its a completely bad product. The one that's working seems to work great so far. But I am expressing my frustration in how something so small as a cable bad out of the package caused me so much headache. I'm giving 2 out of 5 stars. I got half a product so I'm giving half the stars (had to round down)Here's the Reddit post for those interested.https://www.reddit.com/r/audio/comments/36m1d4/i_cant_get_good_quality_out_of_this_mic/

Purchase 2 but only 1 works. Bad short! Please replace the faulty.
June 13, 2017
One of the 2 cables has a short in it, out the box. I was djing a grad party this past weekend and the clients wanted to blessed the food and I handed her my Mic and no sound came it. I'm shaking and moving the cable saying testing testing and half of the word testing was heard coming out the speakers, I never had a brand new XLR cable do that ever. First time for everything. Hopefully the seller will send me a new replacement cable.
Poor connection
May 12, 2017
The XLR connector fits loosely, making poor and intermittent connection. It looks good from the picture, but didn't work.I don't recommend this cable. Can Cable Matters do something about it ?

No match for 30-year old cables - FAILED
February 22, 2017
The long and the short of it... these cables stopped working after only a few uses. They might be fine if you are planning on hooking them up, leaving them alone and not using them for live gigging at various venues. I bought two of these to use as backups because the XLR cables I had been using for OVER 30 YEARS had started to fail. Cables that had lived in garages, on stages, in living rooms, in various locales, had beer accidentally poured on them, and only after all this time started to fail. I had a few of them, but wanted backups in case they failed on me AT a gig. When I got these cables I thought they seemed sturdy and dependable. Thicker, bigger insulation than my 30-year old cables (brand name unknown - of course). When one of my old cables failed I immediately replaced it with one of these. It failed within three months, first giving that awful "crackling" and popping sound, then failing completely, in the middle of a gig. The other cable failed in less than three months time.Very disappointed. In the future I will only be buying name-brand cables that carry lifetime guarantees... like Monster cables. Wish I could figure out who made the cables I had for 30 years.
bought these (2) 7/15 used about 30 times 1 died ...
November 26, 2016
bought these (2) 7/15 used about 30 times 1 died during a gig a few weeks ago and the other died while practicing. I thought I found gold cables at an exceptional price, but I got the quality I paid for, tossed in re cycling bin.
I thought maybe the people didn't take good care of it
September 15, 2016
The first one failed to work after 3 weeks of use. I thought maybe the people didn't take good care of it. Replaced the first cable with the second one; it worked for about 4 months and then no sound coming out from the microphone. I would not order it again.
