Best Steam Cleaner
August 29, 2015
This is my second Steamfast steam cleaner. The first lasted 10 years (the grounding plug broke off and the tubing developed a leak.) This unit makes doing my floors so easy! Very powerful steam. I learned early on with my first unit to let the steam do most of the work, so slow, easy passes work best. My kitchen floor is tile with a light grout. The first time I used my Steamfast, the grout was actually back to its original color! I use it to steam the toilet area and then just wipe away the gunk. I steam the top of my glass cooktop - cooked on foods just wipe off. My husband used it to clean his BBQ grates (while I was away -- guess I bragged too much) and it made that easy as well. One of my best purchases.
Best money I've ever spent

I bought this to steam clean the floor grout in my 25 year old house. I had previously tried a dozen different ways to clean the grout and NOTHING worked. I seriously was about to rip up and replace the entire floor when I decided to try the steam cleaner. The results were nothing short of amazing, and it wasn't difficult at all--no scrubbing needed. I did spray some grout cleaner first and let it sit for a few minutes, but then used the steam cleaner, and the dirt poured out. Incredible!

Bought this because my Daughter wanted something portable and was a reasonable handling size.
It's very portable, when comparing other like products it was also cost savings, the next reasonable solution would have cost almost double the price.

No complaints, although not everything cost effective is always a catch-all and in this case it does spots on carpet well, but would be a bit much to consider this item a carpet cleaner, it's really not. However, for ANY firm surface cleaning, it excels. Kitchen, Bathrooms and wood floors are a snap. When formulating this critique, bang for buck and function was primary.

There is nothing in the advertising that is false, it does what it states it will do and based on that rates a five star. Often people are looking for something that an item won't do and base their response on that expectation, given the advertised functions of this cleaner, it meets all the criteria it was bought for, based on the provided information. It would have been 'Nice' to have a larger water input solution, but that was also very clear and thus anticipated.

A worthy product at a good price point.
Very Pleased!

My entire house has an unusual tile floor pattern. Over the years, the beige grout had darkened in high traffic areas. After spending an entire day ON the floor trying to clean a very small area with a small hand steamer and grout brush, I gave up and purchased the SteamFast. I was concerned about the reviews from others regarding durability - but found NO issues at all. This is a great little unit! Not only is my grout really, really clean, not one attachment broke. Cleaning was almost effortless with the wand extensions and small brush attachment. Being able to stand up (saving my back) and getting such a great result was worth the cost of the machine!

When using the steamer, let the steam do the work. A small nylon grout brush is available to help loosen dirt, not to scrub it out. If your grout is super filthy, you can pre-treat the grout for 15 minutes with baking soda/water, detergent mixture or special grout cleaner to loosen the grime before your steam clean. Another reviewer stated the brush would melt due to the high heat - I did NOT find that to be the case. One brush cleaned 1300 square feet of some pretty dirty grout. The bristles were angled and dirty when finished, but not melted. The wand attachments did not break or flex. Once I got the hang of passing the nozzle back and forth (without pushing down on the brush/wand) as I passed the steam over the grout - I found the process was much easier and faster.

I would highly suggest using a microfiber-type mop to mop up the water from the steam vapor as you clean each small area. The mop will pick up the dirty water that comes out of the grout. You will be amazed how much dirt there is. I had to rinse out the mop quite often.

I did visit the SteamFast site and purchase a pack of extra grout brushes (which arrived in just a few days), and set up a subscription order with free shipping. the cost was very reasonable, and hopefully will prompt me to clean my grout more regularly!

I do with there was a better design for storing the unit's hose and cord after use. You will need to secure them in some fashion to keep them from unraveling. There are a number of attachments that are included, and found a plastic box to be helpful to store those.

This is a good product, and I highly recommend it. It will be replacing my current stick-style steam mop. This unit is much more powerful, and the steam really does last for 45 minutes!
Does the job !

I bought this steam cleaner after reading dozens of reviews of various steam cleaners. I wanted a machine that would do two things:

1) Clean all of the grout in my tiled floors (kitchen and baths). After reading all of the reviews I really did not know what to think since there are some people who love them all and some who think they are a waste of money. I have concluded that people who did not like their machines must have expected them to do all of the work. If this were just to clean the floors instead of using a traditional mop I would not buy it but it really did the trick for cleaning the grout. Warning, you do need some serious elbow grease but it makes the grout look like new.

2) Clean the beadboard in my guest bathroom. Anyone who has beadboard can attest to the fact that it is very difficult to clean. Prior to the steam cleaner I had to spray cleaner in each vertical groove and use a Q-tip to clean the dirt from the groove (especially difficult at the bottom where the beadboard meets the wood trim). The steam cleaner washes the dirt right out of the groove and just requires a quick dry with a towel.

In addition to working perfectly for the two main purposes that I bought the machine for it is also great for cleaning the other woodwork in the house (with two dogs that is saying a great deal) as well as cleaning the grime for the outside window frames (that groove that the screens fit into that get all of the outside grime caught in them (another old Q-tip job).

As far as the quality of the Steamfast SF-275, it is very sturdy. It far exceeded my expectations as I had only previously seen the Shark products in the store and they look very flimsy.

Easy to use and does a great job.
September 5, 2017
I received my steamer and have used it a few times. It's easy to use and it does what I want. My floors look so good. The only thing that I think people should know is when you let it sit for a minute or two it spits out water and then steam. It took me a few times to remember to aim at the sink and let the water out. Other than that it does a great job. Mine didn't come with the window attachment so I will be looking to purchase that piece and shine up the windows so a bird can fly into them as that is what happens EVERY time I wash them.

I'm writing to share a positive first experience with this product. One of my hobbies is restoring older cars. I used this cleaner to remove dirt and grime and baked-on oil from small car parts and it worked wonderfully. Based on this very positive first usage, I'm anxious to try this on other projects such as cleaning my charcoal grill. So far, I'm very impressed!
Great cleaner
April 6, 2017
This was totally what I expected. The cleaner does a great job on everything I have tried so far..Greasy kitchen backsplash, stove, windows, floors. I used to hate to clean because I knew I was not getting it all. Tried every degreaser on the market to no avail. There is a learning curve to use this. You can't just do a fly by on grease. You have to go slowly enough to let the steam do its job. I find that I am thinking about different things that I can try this on and then can't wait to get to it. Going to try it on my blinds this weekend. Only problem I worry about is that the hose does seem like it might split if you are not careful while both using it or storing it. I have no buyers remorse at all.
I thought it would join my closet of house gadgets that sound great in theory but are rarely visited
March 2, 2016
We got this as and I wasn't sure how much I would use it in the end. I thought it would join my closet of house gadgets that sound great in theory but are rarely visited. I did a follow up cleaning on my bathroom and was hooked. With a little bit of extra scrubbing and some house cleaners it blasted off some stains around my sink, toilet, floors, etc. it does require the cleaner and some extra scrubbing. It doesn't just do it with the blast of steam even though that is very impressive. What has made it invaluable is that my daughter has a compromised immune system. My other child got sick recently, I pulled this puppy out and sanitized the bathrooms, door knobs, etc throughout the house and she never caught it. I am sure that our extra hand washing and other precautions also helped but this helped settle my nerves.
Might turn you into a cleaning freak - one of my best purchases - EVER!
March 24, 2015
wow. Wow. WOW. Simply put, you MUST BUY THIS MACHINE! I am beyond impressed at it's capabilities and performance. First off, I had a Haan steam mop cleaner that broke, conveniently, a week after the 1 yr warranty was up. (Just in case you are looking, don't buy a steam mop and don't buy a Haan. They don't stand behind their product, they don't offer repairs, and no store will repair it because it's not worth the cost to them.)OK, that aside. This McCullock is the real deal. I haven't never seen so much steam output in a non-commercial machine. This thing can CLEAN! It's actually quite amazing how much dirt comes with with just steam. It's very easy to use. Fill up the water reservoir and wait about 10 minutes for it to heat up. (You can see on the dial when it reaches the right number to start.) You select which attachment you want to use based on what you want to clean. Once you see the results, you will look for things to clean, just to see how clean it can get :-) Quick summary -- I have used this to clean my tile floors, bathroom tile, sinks, tub, wood floors, cabinets, rugs, cast iron grill pans, and sneakers. Everything looks brand new!I used the circular scrubber (not the wire bristle one) to clean the grout of my tile floor. I don't have dirty floors as I clean them quite often, but wow -- the dirt just poured off the grout without even much scrubbing. You will need to make sure you have a rag with you to immediately clean up the dirty water from the steam, otherwise it will just seep back into the grout. (Be careful as sometimes the attachment pops off if you scrub too hard.) I really can't believe the results after one use. It is so clean and the floors shine! I love it! (See my pics)Also, the tank lasts a long time without refilling -- at least an hour -- so that is never a problem for me. I can't wait to take this outside and clean off the patio furniture and kid's outdoor swing set and play house soon! I also read it's great for cleaning inside cars and wheel wells, so will try that next too! Considering a cheap stick steam mop costs about $130, spending $170 for this FAR SUPERIOR product is a steal. I love it so much that I want to buy my family members it as well. You won't be disappointed.
I can't say enough good things about this little guy
November 17, 2014
I can't say enough good things about this little guy. Our family moved into a home that was owned by a very untidy person with two cats. This steamer has made all of the difference with cleaning. A few quick shots from the pressurized steam and grease, grime, can be wiped away with a cloth. The grout in the kitchen was black and now we see it's a nice shade of tan.If you're looking for a great way to bust through dirt, this is it. This unit lets you clean things that no cloth and brush can reach. Pressurized steam can get into the smallest cracks! The only thing I wish it had was a meter to give you an idea of water in the tank. Oh and use only distilled water in it, so you don't clog it with minerals from your tap.

Great steamer but needs a better securing system for the accessory brushes when scrubbing.
May 12, 2017
The steamer works great and does a great job of cleaning. I wish they had a better system for securing the brass wire brush as it pops off any time you put pressure on it to scrub. I waste a lot of time putting it back on when it pops off and have tried to secure it to no avail. If you buy this with the intention to put pressure on the scrubber while steam cleaning beware as it will give you problems. Otherwise, the steamer does a great job cleaning stubborn things like grease. I do like the extra large capacity tank as it allows you to continue to work without shutting it down to refill it.
Great product for cleaning
January 30, 2014
Love the trigger lock for continuous steam. Large reservoir allows extra steaming time. The long hose and wheeled base make cleaning multiple areas effortless. The top handle could be designed a little better. It takes some practice to lock the steam jet into the holder. Sometimes I worry that the handle will fall out if I am carrying the steamer around by it. Other than that, there are no complaints. The steam power is great and there are plenty of attachments. With the extra long steaming time, I finish the job with leftover steam. So I try steaming random things. I've even been able to get baked grease off a pan and I renewed an ugly looking sponge. Only small attachments can be stored within the unit.
Great Deal
January 26, 2014
This mop surpasses most other mops on the market because of its versatility. Granted you have to wait at least a minute for the boiler to get the steam going, so a little patience is in order. But once it gets going, LOOK OUT. You can lock the steam button down just as you can on irons. And when you unlock it the steam stops instantly. Because of this you can leave it plugged in. It has many more attachments compared to the others and its capacity is 48 oz, which allows for continuous cleaning for about 40 minutes.

My only beef with it is that as a professional cleaner of condos and private residences I have to carry my cleaning tools from car to house and from ground floor to first floor at each and every job. I can't understand why the designers of this great tool didn't put a handle on the top of it or some sort of recessed pocket to grab hold of it. When I go to pick it up and carry it there is no way to hold on to it. I'm worried about dropping this baby so I hug it tightly against my clothing with its icky wheels against me. It's the one thing that is missing on an otherwise savvy investment.
Did a good job with my dirty grout
April 27, 2013
I ordered this specifically for cleaning tile floors and walls in kitchen and bath - as well as some really grimy grout. It replaces a hand-held steamer that I loved, but I was looking for something reasonably priced where I could do some continuous cleaning without waiting for multiple cool down and refill/reheats. This little unit did everything I needed for it to do. I was able to clean my kitchen grout in a single cleaning session of around an hour. The steam is wet - and the 48 ounces of water puts a lot of moisture into the air, so you may want to think about using this on a dry day when you can have windows open. Just keep a towel nearby to wipe up the dirty water as you go.

The only thing that keeps me from giving this 5 stars is that the brushes don't last very long. It comes with several accessories including some nylon brushes that are not robust enough for grout and tile cleaning. But it only comes with one small metal brush. I still have a little life left in the one that came with the machine - but it is clear that heavy cleaning jobs like grimy grout will go through these metal brushes pretty quickly. Unfortunately - Steamfast's website shows that the metal brushes are currently out of stock and this seems to be the only place you can order them online, but I am planning on stocking up as soon as they become available again. The brushes are reasonably priced - but you need to factor that into the equation.

Overall - a good value for the money and I am pleased.
I love the cleaner, but not so much the company...
April 5, 2013
The cleaner is AMAZING!!! I LOVE this little steam cleaner! We bought a foreclosed house a year and a half ago and the people who lived here before us were FILTHY. The grout in our house was black! BLACK black. I have spent at least 20 hours scrubbing grout, and I had only gotten to 1/2 of it and it was not all the way clean. I had scrubbed so hard that my wrists were swolen for about two days after each round of scrubbing!. This morning I spent about an hour and steam cleaned all of the grout in my kitchen, and it is CLEAN!!!!!! YAY!!!! Sucess! And why I don't like the company is because they make you create a subscription if you want extra parts for the cleaner. This morning I completely wore out two of the brushes cleaning the grout (the wire brush worked like a charm on the grout) and they want me to sign up for an annual subscription to get more brushes. I would prefer to just buy attachments as needed. But the cleaner is amazing! I even mopped the rest of the tile floor with the mop attachment when I was done and I will never use a regular mop again! It was wonderful :)

Attachments could be more durable
April 25, 2017
I love the power/pressure of this steam cleaner. I have concerns about the durability - plastic parts seem cheap, but are holding up ok for now (only a few uses). One good deep clean and scrub almos f tile floor grout wore down one of the scrub attachments entirely... I can see needing to replace all attachments after regular use, scrubbers sooner than hoped. There is a distinct smell associated with it overall, as mentioned in other reviews - to me it's like plastic burning.
... clean a number of household items and am quite happy with the results
March 14, 2017
Have used this to clean a number of household items and am quite happy with the results. It has proven especially useful for cleaning the nooks and crannies of my CPAP machine's humidifier tank. I'm looking forward to using it for auto detailing this spring. My only real complaint is that storage is really poorly thought out. There's really no good way to store the hose and cord. The accessories are even worse. It comes with a bag, but its really no better than just dumping them all in a grocery bag.
eco-friendly solution for old grout and dirty stuff
September 4, 2016
I bought this to deal with the grout in my 1948 bungalow bathroom. And it did wonders. Like being in my own infomercial. Read the more detailed reviews for the details about the device. The size is great and all of the attachments are handy and built well. The hose and power cord are long enough for any projects. I have ended up cleaning the tile walls, floor and shower... And the sink, and the oven, and the cast iron grates on the range... Other reviewers are right, you'll want to find things to steam clean. And I'll end up saving on chemical cleaning supplies in the long run. This seems like a sturdy tool. The one small draw back, which makes my review a four-star, is that the brush and scrubber attachments wear out easily, so I'll have to buy more often.
Works great for cleaning the microwave by softening up and hard ...
August 4, 2016
Works as advertised and I use it to clean my flutes and kitchen. I had some stubborn soap buildup on my rub that was difficult to remove due to having to bend over and where it was. This took it right off with green scrub pads and extension tube. It will provide a constant stream of steam. Works great for cleaning the microwave by softening up and hard residue and blasting it off the walls and door.Only thing I don't like is that has no water indicator so you never know until it's empty what the water level is. HIGHLY RECOMMEND using only distilled water to prevent scale buildup. Also, upon first turning on and it warms up your first use will shoot a stream of water like an over powered super soaker water gun. I assume this is due to water condensing in the hose during cool down. Have someplace you can discharge this or you WILL end up with a puddle. Happens on the very first time you take it out of the box so I suspect it was pre tested at factory.
Great Value for this Cleaner
April 26, 2016
I use this on the day it arrived. My house is all tile and the grout was badly in need of a good cleaning. I was totally surprised that this unit cleaned as well as the commercial steam cleaner that I used to rent at $75 for 4 hours. The unit heated up quickly and it was powerful enough to bring up all the dirt without even pre-treating the grout. I was very impressed. It is lightweight and very easy to store. There are a lot of handy attachments that come with this unit. I haven't had a chance to try them all but so far, so good. The cord is definitely long enough as is the hose, something I totally appreciate. The only thing keeps me from giving this a 5-star rating is because of the way the attachments piece together. Even after moving in all directions, the pop-up buttons do not pop up all the time. I believe if I carefully trim some of the plastic from the opening holes, that it may do the trick and the attachments will be more secure.
make sure to scrub
December 4, 2014
I will start off by saying that I had a definite misconception about the cleaning power of steam. I'm my mind it was a magical thing that could remove ground in grime like a pressure washer cleaning a sidewalk, but even with the canister style steam cleaner (increased pressure of steam) a significant amount of scrubbing is still necessary. This is not a flaw with this product, just something to note when deciding if it is the right tool for you. Steam did allow me to clean my grout to nearly new which I was never able to do with chemicals. Using this product was most obviously beneficial when cleaning the kitchen. I have cleaned before using chemicals like windex, but was never able to remove cooking greace residue until using the MC1375. Due to the length of the hose, water will condense, spitting out, decreasing the amount and temperature of the steam. This only happens during start up and if you leave the machine inactive for a few minutes. The machine is made of plastic, though is is nice sturdy plastic with brass fittings. The wheels are also made of plastic and are the least well constructed part, though I have no concerns about their function they don't feel solid. There are plenty of attachments, I have not had a chance to use them all, but I should note that they are wearing parts. The bristels get flattened and useless with the necessary scrubbing. They are nice enough to include multibles of the smaller ones, but they will have to be replaced after used to deep clean two or three rooms. I used some microfiber cleaning cloths to assist my cleaning as the steam condenses on cold surfaces, this was also useful for picking up the loose dirt. I made sure to turn on any available vents when using. With the scrubbing attachments it can be fairly loud.

Steam is ok but not very powerful. Bad handle design. No way to carry around
There is room for improvement.
October 16, 2016
It gets quite hot on the good side. I had to set the unit up on a tall table to reach up to steam wall paper. I had to stop about every 20 seconds to a minute to allow the machine to build up steam again. This machine is good for lightly soiled floors.

Ok for floors, but it disappointed in the bathroom on tiled tub area.
Was easy putting it together but was disappointed with its performance
September 3, 2014
Have tried so many steam cleaners and was so excited to get this out of the box and use. Was easy putting it together but was disappointed with its performance. When it finally starts to steam it has a good amount of steam but I could only use it for a minute at a time before the blue light came on indicating that it needed to heat up, so I would have to wait 3-4 min to use then it would give me a minute of steam and have to wait again and so on. I packed it back in the box and sent it back. So I'll be researching for another one to buy, I think I may have to pay more $$ to get a good one!!
Not a cure-all for mold.
May 4, 2013
Wanted to use this steamer to try and clean some old stains and mold from the grout in my shower. Steamer did improve some of the problem, but did not completely clean the discolored areas. I'm guessing that the stains, mold and discoloration had been neglected for too long. Not sure that any of the other steamers out there could have done any better. Had to remove the old grout and do the whole shower over. Learned that you can't neglect cleaning these grout areas for too long because the stains will then become permanent. All in all, steamer did produce some good steam, but could not completely clean the grout because I had let it go for so long. Yes, I would recommend this machine for lesser challenging cleaning jobs.

Not super powerful but it works well enough for smaller stains ...
September 9, 2017
Not super powerful but it works well enough for smaller stains or wood floors. The inner flow chamber on one of the extensions keeps popping out but is easily fixed. Heating time to build pressure is on average of 15-20 min so make sure you plug it in and give it time to build pressure. Pressure also bleeds off quickly maybe 20 seconds after the trigger pull it becomes week and useless.
get the 1275 instead
January 19, 2017
I borrowed my son's McCulloch 1275 and loved it. I thought I'd upgrade to a 1375 because I could check my steam pressure and had space for tools on board. But the mop handle wouldn't stay together and came apart while I was steaming. I called McCulloch and they sent me handle attachments, but they didn't stay together either. Also after 3 uses the bottom wheel broke off. I returned it for the 1275. I love having a steamer. I have a lot of porcelian tile and my grout and tile have never looked better. Great in the bathroom too.
Just OK
September 16, 2016
Still doesn't generate the pressure I would like. It would help if they had a smaller floor pad to get into tight spaces and or use to wash windows or shower doors.
Eehh~~~
March 15, 2016
I had the MC1275 and wanted to upgrade to this bigger model.THE BAD:(1) the accessory 2.5" Round Scrub Pad fell apart on first use. I used it on a relatively low duty surface, my sink.(2) Although its rated 120v and 1500 watts (for both the small MC1275 and this MC1375 ), this newer model seems to be more power hungry, my electric breaker tripped many times when the MC1275 with the same power rating did not.(3) the main trigger has a horizontal safety switch which is poorly designed, because it lacks feedback, often get stuck and can't make up its mind if it wants to be on or off.(4) the main hose is of the bumpy ribbed design. Its often get stuck with the cord. I wish they were able to design a much smaller, smoother hose. But this is fairly common with most other makers as well.THE GOOD: Cleans well. It works for most applications. the size is just right.THE UGLY: Not sure, if McCulloch has a different package when sold through Amazon. McCulloch's offical website got the same model, but with a lot more accessories. There, get 14 extra pieces because many pads and brushes comes in 5 packs Vs. Amazon's 2 packs.MY RECOMMENDATION: Buy the smaller MC1275 and save your self some cash. OR buy the bigger MC1385
It's inconvenient to use.
December 28, 2015
It's an okay product. I don't think I would buy this again. The steam unit is somewhat difficult to fill with water and a pain to empty. It's recommended you do not leave water in the unit to avoid crystallization, so you have to dump it every time you use it. Also the storage netting broke the first time I put it on the unit. I had to tie it in a knot. There is no where really to store the heads that come with the unit, so you need to find a box to put everything in. The hose does not wrap around the body of the unit so when you store it the hose lays on the floor or wherever you put it.It does pump steam out the nozzle, but I had higher expectations. It's no "steam-jenny". It's just an inconvenient household utensil that I would not purchase again. It's inconvenient to use.
Cumbersome
June 19, 2015
Canister is cumbersome. No place to store all the attachments. Only includes 2 cleaner pads. Wheels do help some, but no place to store cord. Have used several times and it takes about 20 minutes to heat up so it doesn't loose steam. Steam is not hot, mostly moves dirt around. Too late to send it back, so gave it away.

Continuous steam mode does not last long
June 21, 2010
I just purchased this unit for cleaning my Armstrong kitchen floor. I filled it with 2 cups of water (32 oz) which is supposed to yield about 30 minutes of steam. I waited for the red light to go out which indicates 'steam ready' (just the opposite from the way you would expect an indicator light to work). I was using the extension wands with the floor brush and attached the provided cloth towel. I set the steam lock button for continuous steam. The initial burst of steam was good, but after about 15 seconds, the indicator light came on and the steam output and pressure was considerably diminished. I waited for the indicator light to go out and got about another 15 seconds of good steam pressure. I got frustrated with the starting and stopping and waiting for the steam ready each time. What is the purpose of the steam lock switch if you cannot get continuous steam? Have other users noticed the 'steam non-ready' light comming on frequently? Have other users noticed the reduced steam output when the indicator light is on? I do not think my unit is defective but have decided to return it.

Hose came apart
October 16, 2017
It hasn’t even been a year that I’ve had this and it came apart on the hose. It still works but it gets really hot where it’s broken. I researched and read reviews before I made my final purchase, so I’m very upset that it didn’t last. All of my clients wanted to know what I used to clean with, now I’m having to tell them that it’s not a good product.
Can I exchange just one piece???

Love the machine but the is the second time I used it and one of the very necessary accessories BROKE!
Must use distilled water to avoid chemical lime build up in tank.
April 19, 2017
Not much high volume hot steam, you must stop frequently and let the steam build up. The real bummer is you must use distilled water to avoid chemical lime build up in tank and no place for tools.
dont do it
April 9, 2017
dont waste your time. it looks good, the video really does a great job of this steamer as a winner. wrong! im telling you this thing wouldn't clean anything. It doesn't really have steam coming out. I can put my bare hand in front of it and its just hot water. I tried to find something for this to clean and it just wouldn't.
Other than my disappointments it would be a great machine lots of attachments easy to roll great long ...

Very unhappy with this product. Details say 2 hours of steam I have been lucky to get 5 min. Product does not heat up to 200 degrees. Other than my disappointments it would be a great machine lots of attachments easy to roll great long hose just not what it says it would be
Worthless for sanitize cleaning
April 29, 2016
This Steamer is almost worthless. yes it can produce steam after 10min wait, but the steam that comes out is not hot, its lukewarm. I can spray steam directly at my hand without feeling burned unless i have my hand within 3 inches from the nozzle, and the pressure (50 PSI) is weak. Cant sanitize anything with such weak psi and steam temp, and your only able to use it for a minute, then u have to wait a couple minutes for it to build up psi and steam before you can use it again.

Do not get to remove grout from tiles.
July 30, 2017
Did not take grout from between tiles as claimed. Takes up room in closet and will probably not get used again. Called Steamfast up about adding cleaning chemicals to the water, and they said no, only vinegar to remove calcium depostirs. Also, they recommend distilled water.
Great for floors, no good for bird cages
September 22, 2016
It does a great job on floors. I bought it hoping it would work on large bird cages. No, it doesn't. The gunk left behind is sticky and hard to remove, and it leaves white marks all over the cage from liquified poop. The tiny round scrubber pad was destroyed within minutes. The brushes included are too widely spaced to be useful on cage bars. That left the mop head, which didn't have enough scrubbing power to do the cage. Much easier to take outside, hose down and scrub. Still hoping for something that works on bird cages.

I've had it for over a year now. After about six uses something clogged even tho I only used distilled water. The steam would not come out the mop head. Customer Service tried to help, but they were useless. I tried swishing vinegar around, I even tried steaming the vinegar. Lots of steam, just wouldn't come out the mop head. It was great while it lasted, but an awful lot of money for such little use.
Failed again
April 19, 2014
My second one died yesterday. Bought it last October. First one lasted a bit longer right at a year.
When it works, it does a good job. our 1500 sq feet of tile couldn't be cleaner. We do a cleaning twice a month.

But big dissappointment when if fails again. I need to know which one to purchase for the future. One that will work longer than a year.
Too bad Dysan doesn't make one. My vacuum is still going strong after 12 plus years.
Not worth the space it takes up
April 4, 2014
I ordered this cleaner based on Amazon reviews and it's price. I don't know what everyone else expects from a unit like this, but I was greatly disappointed. I couldn't get anything cleaned with it and sent it back for a refund. I believe you would need to purchase a very high dollar ($350 +) steamer in order do the level of cleaning that these steamers "claim" to work on effectively.
stopped working after 2 uses!
June 14, 2012
I just received my steamer last night. It worked great for two water refills. But after trying to refill the water for a 3rd time, I am not getting any power to the machine. I checked the breakers and the plug. I even tried from a different plug, still no luck! So I let it sit overnight, thinking it might have overheated. Tried it this morning, nope! No power at all when you turn the button on! I am SO disappointed! I will be returning it.

I didn't like the first one Caine you don't use a steamer ...
August 10, 2017
Very displeased. I used it twice went to use it a third time and it wouldn't work. Contacted customer service for the actual company. They wouldn't refund only give me a new product. I didn't like the first one Caine you don't use a steamer everyday I was out of my return range for Amazon. Wont use this company again. Steam doesn't shoot out steadily. More like seeps out and won't remove anything until u hold it over the area a long time.
Waste of money
April 6, 2017
Waste of money, never should have bought. A good cleaner and a little elbow grease works much better. Sprays water everywhere, steam is cold?????? Look elsewhere.
Not what I expected, pressure drops quickly, attachments ...

ok....Bought it about 8 month ago....using this steamer less than twice per week... It has a several problems, such as hose connected to the spray gun is not connecting anymore (ducktaped now), canister top cap is leaking because rubber washer in between is damaged - poor design. Not sure if it safe now to work like that. Another thing is calcium from water.... It's a lot to clean out... Probably it's better to use filtrated water for steamer. Anyway, I thought this machine will work longer then other analogs I had before but nope, same sh...t. Quality no more.
Doesn't clean grout waste of money
May 14, 2016
Bought it to clean grout. We have lived in our house 3 years have 2 dogs and a toddler, so our grout is pretty dirty. It did nothing. Tried different attachments and none of them made a difference. Using a brush, soap and water had the same results. Tried to use it to get wrinkles out of a cloth shower curtain and again it did nothing. Tried it in the shower, did not make cleaning up soap scum any easier. Ended up returning it.
this was great while it worked
June 22, 2015
Well, this was great while it worked. When it didn't work, it nearly killed me. About the third, maybe fourth time ever using it, I filled it with water and plugged it in. Pressed the power button on the side and BAM! It shot off the unit, felt a pretty strong shock, there was a visible blue spark, and it flipped the breaker in my house. The button is blackened inside, and there is a little black mark on the outlet where it was plugged in. Nothing else but a TV is on that circuit, by the way, and the house is only a few years old. Upon closer inspect, this little power switch is fragile and cheap - not really appropriate for a tool like this. How would it stand up to use in the garage or tool shed, or in the driveway? All I was doing with it was the grout in kitchen floor tiles. Will be figuring out what my options are for a refund.
