Hands down, The best Medicine ball on the market.
July 22, 2017
There are many medicine balls on the market, and I've used my fair share. The SPIRI Xerball is in my opinion the best, most versatile ball out there. It's durable, weather resistant, and easy to clean. I have purchased most of the available weight options and have been pleased with every single one. The SPIRI Xerballs are my favorite, and most used piece of fitness equipment I own.
Perfect.
February 7, 2016
Perfect. My husband broke his last one throwing it to the ground. It was leather, and the seam broke. This one bounces. Feels like a basketball. Very happy with it.
This is the one you want
December 31, 2015
SPRI's medicine balls are awesome. We picked this 4-pounder up after a good experience with their 2-pounder. It has a nice grip and is very evenly weighted, making it great for workouts. It has some bounce, but as long as you do not add extra air, it is nothing like, say, a basketball. We do smashes and on a soft surface and it bounces back up about chest high, making for an easy retrieval. When our little leaguer is ready for a 6-pounder, it will be an SPRI again. My only complaint is that it is latex and is a bit stinky out of the box. Nothing terrible, but you might want to air it out in the garage for a bit before using, and even then, in the first few uses you will notice a slight residue and smell on your hands. That seems typical for medicine balls and goes away after a few uses. But, don't let that scare you away, it really is not a big deal and you will be pleased in the long-term.
Nice heavy Basketball sized Medicine ball
August 25, 2015
I was looking for a basketball sized medicine ball that was rubber and not leather. The leather ones are a little too mushy for me and I'd rather have a heavy ball. This fit exactly what I was looking for. The weight is what I was wanting. The grip is like a basketball. I don't bounce it on the ground. I just throw it up like I'm shooting a two handed shot and catch it. But, I tried bouncing it on the cement outside my house. It feels pretty solid with a little give. It bounces. I throw in down and it bounces back up about a 2.5ft. Very well done. The price of this one concerned me (you get what you pay for). But, in this case, I got exactly what I was looking for at a lower price. I tried the Power Systems Elite Power Medicine Ball at my gym and it was what I was targeting. The Power Systems is a quality medicine ball and would have worked. But, it is 1.7x the price of the SPRI. And, I'm ecstatic with what i got with the SPRI.
Quality Fun
October 25, 2014
There are less expensive and more expensive balls to consider. As one who is serious about exercise, I considered the more expensive for better quality and durability, but after working with SPRI balls I discovered they have the utmost quality for the price. I use my SPRI balls almost every day before my weight training - they're different, they're fun, and they improve my focus. I highly recommend the use of medicine balls in your exercise program and SPRI balls will not disappoint in quality, feel, and enjoyment.
Great All in One Medicine Ball for the Price
December 16, 2013
Great medicine ball for the price. I have the 20 pound version and it is great. If you are looking for something you can do medicine ball slams, wall ball tosses, and other medicine ball exercises I found this to be a great tool.

Great grip and adds some fun to my work out
November 2, 2017
I am going to purchase a few others in different weight because I really like this. My sister recommended this to me, as she has a couple. I work in PT and decided to give it a try. I love this far better than the one I have as it is much easier to grip. There are so many ways to use this and if need be you can look up online the many different exercises you can do. I highly recommend it and it was well worth the money I spent.
It's bombproof and always ready for action!

A wonderful addition to my home gym. I specifically use it for ab work only. It's bombproof and always ready for action!

July 25, 2017
Nice size and easy to grip. It is very sturdy and have been using it for months.
Kick it up a notch!
July 26, 2016
Perfectly round, weighs 10 pounds, is well constructed and easy to use. I bought this to incorporate into my HIIT/Cardio workouts to make them more challenging. I probably should have started with a lighter ball (maybe 6-8lbs) but that's ok. I like the feel and grip of this ball. Even when I'm sweating buckets I don't feel like it's going to slip out of my hands.
Bouncing Into Health
June 14, 2015
This is a great way to warm up for a day's worth of fun. I just throw it up in the air. Two sets of twenty is plenty for me. If you have a solid wall you can bounce it up high, over your head for a massive upper body workout. This is the lightest weighted ball and is perfect for first time users and for seniors like myself who don't want to go overboard. Also, try tossing it around in a circle with five or six people.
Does exactly what it was intended to do.
April 23, 2013
This is a great product! I gave it five stars because it is exactly as described. I work out between 3-5 days a week, and this medicine ball is a key part of my work out equipment. I have had this medicine ball for two months and am finding that it is very durable. I am 175lbs and the ball has no problem supporting my weight for various exercises (medicine ball triceps push up, push up with feet on medicine ball, alternating medicine ball push up, etc.) When I was shopping for a medicine ball there were many options, and it became a little confusing. I chose this one specifically because it was given good reviews and the price was reasonable. I am very happy with it and have not have any issues so far. I would recommend it for anyone in the market for a medicine ball.

the outter layer peels chips away fairly easily. Otherwise a good ball
Good purchase
January 16, 2014
Ball was as advertised. Heavier than I thought a 25lb ball would be. I would consider a 20lb if I had to make a similar purchase.
Good Medicine Ball
August 29, 2013
I was surprised by the "basketball" texture/feeling of the ball but it is well constructed and works great. Shipped fast and was undamaged.
Feels sturdy and well built. Light enough to dribble while strengthening wrists/forearms. Actual weight was 1.8 lbs.
July 31, 2013
Good feel to it - good grip. Light enough to dribble while strengthening wrists/forearms. Actual weight was 1.8 lbs. Purchased the 4 lb ball as well and it was same quality (actual weight was 3.8 lbs).
Great Medicine Ball
July 2, 2013
The grip on this ball is fantastic. The ball is similar to a basketball, in this ones case, a 25 lb basketball. I received it in short time.Negatives:Could have been packaged better as the ball had almost broken out of the box.Could have had more information material. The price is a little steep but the shipping price made up for it.
Great balls!
May 2, 2013
This ball is top the line. A little better bounce wud help but really a quality all around med ball. Grip, structure, bounce (Is great, just not the best) to get a quality med ball at a reasonable price this is your ball.

Medicine Ball.
September 8, 2016
This medicine ball is HUGE. I honestly didn't think it would be so large when I ordered it. It's a good material, but I wish it were smaller. I'm used to medicine balls being heavy, but still small.
Good Value
October 23, 2015
Cap Medicine Balls are good quality at a reasonable price (if you consider any medicine ball price reasonable). I buy them frequently and they don't seem to have the splitting problems you'll encounter with some of the other less expensive balls. Grip is okay. Not too rough.
Good quality for a decent price.
August 25, 2015
Good quality for a decent price. The smell of the plastic eventually goes away. I wish the grip was a bit more or the ball itself would be smaller. Still a bit worried when I am holding it above my head, but no issues yet.

Good product - bad smell.
January 18, 2017
The ball itself is great but the toxic rubber smell has barely gotten any better after 2 months. Can't keep in my bedroom closet - had to leave in the hallway closet. Not sure if it's a health concern, but I'll purchase a different product if I ever want to increase the weight. I sometimes avoid working out with it, just not pleasant.

The density must be lower than the balls at the gym because this 12 lb ball is enormous. A little two bulky
Good, but family large

Grips well, but is fairly large for what I was looking for. I should have paid more attention before I bought it.

It is exactly what it says it is and works just fine, but the strong rubber smell almost 2 months later is so strong that I can't keep it in my house.
Too large
August 24, 2015
Nice ball, gel filled. Stars based on size. This ball to large for intended use. Description for this 2 lb medicine ball didn't include size which is 8 in across.
Right weight, wrong smell
July 25, 2013
The look and feel of this ball are fine. It had a very strong petroleum smell that made it unpleasant to use for months.

Way oversized compared to other balls of this same weight. Never seen one this big in the gym. Makes it hard to use.

Rubber comes off in tiny pieces. Actually have to wear safety glasses for some exercises.
2 years later and it still smells
June 18, 2013
This is a great 4 pound ball, except that it smells of fumes. It's been in my garage for over two years and I've used it a few times, but the smell hasn't gone away. I would look for a different ball without the stench.

Very displeased
September 14, 2016
I got a set of 2-12 to replace my old beat up spri medicine balls (exact same balls). I thought the old balls were damaged from use but apparently they are made like that for some reason. Cracks and scratches all over the outside. It's hard to see in the pics but the spri being one of the more expensive brands, I really expected better quality. They didn't even bother to make the paint line up in a few places. The surface scratches may be a result of packaging but the paint not lining up with the grooves on the ball is ugly and looks very cheap! The balls are very much usable but with the price on them, I expected something I knew would hold up against workouts but surface scratches and sloppy paint jobs leaves me skeptical of their quality and how long they will last. Their presentation is not up to par for the price they're asking, double the price of other medicine balls.Scratches and misaligned paint in the pics was spotted as soon as they were removed from the boxes, so there's no chance that it happened during use. The page said they were new, they don't appear used so I'm assuming these are all manufacturing flaws.
worked great just had a very short life
September 5, 2014
worked great just had a very short life , it just came apart , it broke in half. I would buy again if I though the first one was just a bad ball but for the time it was used the cost was very high. It was not used outside and always on a smooth floor.
Premium price...very poor quality.
April 15, 2013
Delivered March 5th split bad @ air hole in multiple directions on April 13th. I added no air...used it exactly how it was delivered. Used less than 10 times only for ball slams by girls and guys...20 reps X 3 sets.Either I got a bad one or these are definitely not worth the money.obviously.

I ordered a set of CAP Rubber Medicine Balls. However, my 8lb. Ball cracked while engaged in a bouncing exercise. Only had them for a month. I had to re-order another 8lb. Ball to complete my set. Would love to get reimbursed!!!!
... balls for my workout class and this is one terrible manufactured ball
July 7, 2014
I purchase 6-8 balls for my workout class and this is one terrible manufactured ball. Regardless what you do it will tear at the seam. The worst item I have ever purchase.
Fails the durability test
May 31, 2014
Bought this product to use in training my tennis players, and it cracked under use. Had similar experiences with two pound models from the same manufacturer. Suggest you look to other brands. Valeo has held up well so far.
Product had good intentions to be a nice product.
September 18, 2013
I choose this rating because after about 30 days of use the product has stopped working. The ball busted open and is now trash. The product wasn't used daily so there truly should not be a reason why this product died. Maybe it was just a bad batch of the ball that I got, but unfortunately I can't give it a great review. It did start out to be a nice product to help me work on my core.
