Amazing product
January 13, 2017
I never usually write reviews for any products I purchase, however this racing wheel is absolutely 100% amazing. All my life I have loved racing games and recently I got into the ForzaMotorsport series. Never before have I played a forza game due to the fact that i was not a racing sim game. I kept hearing amazing things about Forza so I decided to pick up an Xbox one just to try it out and I fell inlove with the game so much that I decided to invest in steering wheel. There is a lot of stearing wheels out in the market. I decided to go for the ThrustMaster Tx Racing Wheel due to the fact that I loved the design and I like the idea of having an ecosystem of interchangeable and add on parts. I fell inlove with this wheel and can say it was hands down the best $300 I have ever spend. Was the wheel worth so much money? Absolutely most definitely it is, you get what you pay for. The wheel makes playing racing game so much better this wheel changed racing games for me there so much more enjoyable to me now I find my self smiling as I play. I see no flaws in this wheel, the force feedback is absolutely amazing and the stock rim is beautiful. My full rig consist of the TX Racing Wheel with the stock pedals and rim it comes with and a TH8A shifter and holding it all together a wheel stand pro. I absolutely recommend anyone who's loves racing games to pick up this wheel it's pricey but it's definitely worth it.

Great feed back for Xbox one. Doesn't come with manual, so go on-line to read it. I hooked it up and tried to turn on the console with the Xbox button on the servo. The console turns on, but didn't recognize the controller and it didn't work. Plug the servo in and always turn on with the button on the console and it works great. I mounted it with the table clamp and it doesn't move around at all, even with the force feed back set at a high level. I have used other steering wheels on the Xbox 360 and after I changed to the Xbox One with this unit, it is the best that I have experienced. Really like that you can order this servo alone and change the steering wheel and pedals to your own preference. I have all the racing games that are available for the Xbox One and this works great for all of them. LETS GO RACING BOYS!!!
Everything I expected
January 29, 2016
It was everything I expected and more. The wheel itself feels incredibly sturdy and well built although it could a lot bigger being only 8.5 inches, along with the TH8A shifter feeling incredibly smooth and high quality. Highly reccomend the wheelstand pro, the wheel will shake everything on your desk.
The perfect base for creating the perfect setup for < $1000
October 10, 2015
This hub is great, I got this along with the Thrustmaster VG T3PA-PRO 3-Pedal Add-On Set, the Thrustmaster VG TM Leather 28 GT Wheel Add-On, and the Thrustmaster Ferrari F1 Wheel Add-On, The feedback on this is the best I have used, I love the fact that you can change out the wheel, it makes it so you can expand beyond a standard setup, I decided to return the 2 wheels that I ordered in favor of the Thrustmaster VG Ferrari 599XX EVO Wheel Add-On, I have played with the 458 Italia wheel, and did not like the overall feel of it, and it is smaller than the real thing so knowing that the 599XX EVO wheel is the real deal, I think that it is going to make this the perfect setup I can get without climbing in to the $1000 + price range
Great wheel, great value (especially for XB1). Save for the add-ons, they really turn it up to 11.
August 17, 2015
Great wheel. I used to have a force GT, which was a great all around good value. As soon as I tried this wheel I could not believed the level of realisim and feedback one gets. I've used it in Forza 5, Dirt Rally and most recently Horizon 2. On horizon 2 the Force feedback really shines thru.I do have to admid however that the stock configuration is not ideal. The standard wheel feels toy like. Too plastic. The pedals are not bad, if you don't miss the 3 pedal. And yes, mine broke too. I got a replacement back within a week free of charge. Those things happen. My setup has the TH8A shifter, T3PA pedals, and the Ferrari GTE wheel. All toghether it comes to be a little on the expensive side, but you can minimize cost by looking around for deals. All things considered this setup ultimatelly comes up to be slightly lower, or at worst at the same price as the competition from what I've seen. Also if you are a racing fan, it is a small price to pay for the experience, as it is safer and way cheaper than real racing. :PI have the F1 wheel too, but I haven't used much since I mostly do Horizon now a days. Hopefully when Forza 6 comes, I'll be hable to give it some hours. For the seat frame, I opted to build my own. A couple of boards from a hardware store and some screws are cheaper than any decent setup I saw online. It may not look pretty, but then again I don't think a racing seat and some tubes look pretty in any living room either. I painted mine mat black, and when lights are off, all I see is the screen. Building it yourself, you can setup your sitting possition as you like, I went for something similar to an LMP/F1 seating possition. it is nice.*** Make sure, whatever the base you use for it it is sturdy, not only strong, but also stiff. The forced feedback is really strong, really strong. It gives real feel and feedback, think about turning the wheels in a non powersteered car. If the frame is not sturdy it will deflect and you will loose some of the feel. You can dial down the feedback, but according to me, if you are paying that much for a setup you might as well get the most out of it. ***To recap. Great wheel, great value (especially for XB1), considered what is on the market. If you can, save for the add-ons, they really turn it up to 11. Sturdy base needed. If you have any questions let me know.
The built in clamp works great on my wheel stand since the stand doesn't have ...
February 19, 2015
With my purchase of an Xbox One I could no longer use my Fanatec CSR. When this wheel went on sale just before Christmas I went ahead and bought one. The wheel base itself is solid and doesn't take up much space. The built in clamp works great on my wheel stand since the stand doesn't have holes drilled for the TX yet. With it clamped to the wheel stand I have never had a problem with it moving around. The wheel itself is plastic but so was most of the Fanatec CSR. The difference is on the TX I don't feel like I'm going to break the rim if I use the whole wheel and not just the grips. Another plus is all the buttons work in the UI. With the Fanatec in Forza 4 there were some places where you could not navigate the menus because the buttons were not recognized. A downside is that the wheel is smaller. Its not too small like my old Logitech MOMO wheel but it is noticeable coming from the CSR.The pedals are really the only downside to the setup. The most obvious is there is no clutch pedal as plenty of others have noted. Another downside I found is that the pedal base slightly rocks back and forth. I attached a strap to my pedals to keep this from happening but it was noticeable prior to my modification.Force feedback to me feels pretty good in Forza 5.One area that the Fanatec trumps the Thrustmaster in though is custom settings. The Fanatec allowed certain settings on the wheel to be changed on the fly through use of the LED desplay on the wheel itself. This made a huge difference in some games like F1 2013. The Thrustmaster relies completely on the in game settings.Overall I am pretty happy with the TX and look forward to a lot more races. I have just ordered the GTE wheel and can't wait for it to get here.

Bad out of box but good service so far....
September 27, 2017
Purchased the servo, wheel and a chair (Playseat Challenge?) along with great pedals.I like (them) it just fine but the servo is defective out of the box. Spent over an hour with some VERY nice people at the manufacturer; upshot is that the servo's USB connector is bad (and we have installed all of the updates). They have very kindly offered to fix or replace it, non-refurbished. That kind of thing turns your head! It's on its way back to the manufacturer and I will update this rating upon its return.Sure hope it's a quick turnaround because there are a few things that I want to do yet on FORZA 6 before the new one comes out; hopefully this rig will work with the new FORZA as well as the new Xbox console when it arrives in a couple of months.

great wheel to get started with, good weight and feedback. Fits multiple wheels and peddles so you can upgrade.
Solid, Stable, Fun
November 21, 2016
I use this primarily with an Xbox One and really enjoy it. It's a different world from controller games so I don't think someone should expect themselves to be "good" right away. It's far and away a different animal and some games handle the wheel control better than others.Build quality is solid. I've got a month's use.
With a few upgrades it's 5 stars
September 3, 2016
I have been a long time video game racing fan, but new to sim racing at the time of purchasing the Thurstmaster TX. Never had playing a video game in my 25 years of gaming felt so good and engaging. (yes I’m an old man) The force feedback feels so natural and intuitive. The experience this wheel can give you is worth 5 stars, but you will need to purchase a few more things. To be fair, the first one I got broke very quickly, but what little time I spent with the wheel sold me on the whole experience. So much so that I immediately bought a second one and built an entire rig around it with a racing seat. The actual rim and pedals that come bundled with the TX wheel are cheap and I recommend replacing them on an as needed basis, I have overtime piece by piece. (Sim racing isn’t cheap and the more money you spend the better your experience will be). I bought the wheel sept of 2014 in anticipation of Forza Horizon 2. (Worked great). I have been a Forza fan since the second Forza motorsports. I used a conventional control up until I purchased the wheel and haven’t looked back since. This wheel was built for Forza 6. Its plug and play and my main use of the wheel. I have Project CARS and works great as well but there is a lot more prep with adjusting you’re in game settings. (I have a lot more to say on that but that has more to do with the game than the wheel so I won’t go into it). After logging many racing hours with my Thurstmaster TX wheel It still works great. I have had no issues with my 2nd wheel. It came with the latest update at time of purchased. The pedals and rim that are bundled with the TX are just fine and are the reason why I gave the wheel only 4 stars. If you have the money and want the 5 star experience you will need to upgrading to a better rim and 3 pedal set and the shifter as soon as possible. With or Without upgrades buy now before Forza Horizon 3 comes out.
Feels great, looks great, easy setup, just one small problem I encountered.
November 12, 2015
The setup was surprising easy, the feel is great, the in game compatibility with Forza 6 is amazing. However after 3 weeks, I was losing connection to my pedals. It was intermittently going in and out. Steering wheel worked perfect, just when flooring the accelerator/clutch/brake pedals nothing was being applied in game. I looked into the firmware and was not the issue. I realized the issue was with the port connecting the pedals to the wheel. Even when the port connection clicked in, it had a few millimeters of movement. Thus the only workaround I had for this was to have my finger held down on the connection. This fixed the issue, however of course this is not a reasonable fix. I've tried taping it down, but any time the force feedback would kick in, it will intermittently lose connection due to the cable moving a little bit in the port. At first I thought it was maybe the certain types of cars I drove in game, but realized it was happening to previous cars I was driving fine in. I have requested for a replacement and hopefully will not have this problem. Overall before this problem, this wheel worked perfectly and felt great. I would still highly recommend.
Great immersion. FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS
June 12, 2015
Downloading the drivers and updates for the wheel was no where near as difficult as people make it out to be. MAKE SURE TO UPDATE TO CURRENT FIRMWARE! Do the firmware upgrades before anything else. And follow thrustmaster pdf instructions. That being said this is an excellent product. I have been a sim racer for a decade and a half and the force feedback on this wheel is unrivaled. The tune-ability is endless. The shifters are firm and precise. Being all metal they have a nice feel to them. The rim construction is a replica so don't expect ferrari leather and carbon fiber. It is a 7:10 replica. It has decent weight and the rubber grip isn't bad. However it isn't the greatest. The forces that come from within the base are unbelievable. The base alone is worth the money. I have been playing Project CARS and I have never felt so immersed in a game since the first time I played Colin McRae rally and used the first person view. So the force feedback is supremo. The pedals are the reason this is a 4 star and not a 5. Due to it coming in a 458 italian configuration there is no clutch. (Probably so you buy the amazing tp3a pro pedals) The break does have more resistance than the accelerator but unless the pedals are strapped down they will move around on you when you brake. Overall a great wheel. Anyone on pc and or xbox one should give this wheel a go. Since it works for both I will use it on both. This only adds to the value. I have logged about 4 hours and close to 100 or so laps on various tracks and in various cars and it has had 0 issues. Just make sure you are up to date on the firmware and warm up those arms and you'll be ready to race.

Great product, customer support non existint
June 10, 2015
i have seen all the negative comments. At first i thought i was one if the casualties, when i would plug the wheel in it would flood the xbox with random inputs. I just kept trying and it synced up correctly and has been fine since. buy at your own risk. thrustmasters costomer support is the worst in the world. They dont even answer the phone. leave a email.....yeah right that was over a month ago. No response. It is a great wheel, very accurate, loads of fun. If it works.... PS, You need to download the firmware with a computer. The xbox can NOT do it....Good luck. I still have my fingers crossed.
Ok product, after sale support falls short.
June 2, 2015
Ok product, poor after sale support. During a move I lost the power cord. Have not had any success obtaining a replacement. The cord is a specialized design, unique to this product. I sent three requests using their web form, and received no reply. I called the number in the manual and waited in the queue for 28 minutes. Gave them my phone number and email, and was told they would reply within the hour with instructions about how to order the power cord, they never responded. While the product itself is okay, I can't recommend a product that is not supported after the sale.
Thrustmaster TX 458 Italia Edition
May 11, 2014
To start off, I must say the force feedback of this wheel base is great. I couldn't be more happy with this wheel base, and I dare say it's easily the best out there for console or PC without getting into serious simulation hardware that costs many times more. The only gripe I have about it is the slight "gear" feeling when turning the wheel, as it shouldn't be present with this belt driven system. The multiple settings for degrees of rotation help allot as some games require different settings for the game to play correctly. Such as Dirt 3 is best played with 540°, F1 2013 is best played with 270°, and Forza 5 is best with 900°.The pedals and wheel are decent but I'll explain the issues about this set as a whole below. The major issue I have with this wheel set, is the car it's modeled after. The Ferrari 458 Italia (one of my favorite road cars) is a grand tourer, and as such is meant for spirited long-distance driving. The wheel is very comfortable for that, but it's not a good shape for racing. When you take an ergonomic wheel like that, it gets out of hand when doing fast paced maneuvering that racing requires. The ergonomic shaped wheel soon becomes hard to manage and can cause you to loose your handling and spin out or under-steer. This wouldn't have happened with a round wheel where there is nothing to get in you'r hands way of having a proper grip.Another issue that this brings up, is only having two pedals and no clutch as the real car doesn't have a clutch. So, those who like race seriously will have to shell out more money for pedals with a clutch and have the included pedals go to waste, as well as the wheel rim because you will want the round shaped Ferrari Challenge wheel over the 458 Italia wheel.Overall, the wheel base is a 5 star, but the included wheel rim and pedals are not that good for serious racing, so I was left unhappy with this set and returned it. The day Thrustmaster sells this wheel base as a stand alone unit where I can purchase the wheel rim and pedals of my choice, I'll but it for sure. But I cant justify spending $400 just to throw the included pedals and wheel in the closet and have to buy better ones for an additional $250+.
Worked for a week and a half
March 27, 2014
well I got the wheel about a week and a half ago and it was working great... until... Three days ago the wheel stopped working and when i plug it in the wheel just keeps turning from end to end really really fast. it wont sync up. After not findaing ANYTHING about my problem on their website, I tried calling customer support only to find that even when it says its open it is not... and I was directed to the website on the phone.I figure I have a better chance of getting in contact with someone from Thrustmaster on here than anywhere else it seems. So Customer service guy from thrustmaster HELP ME PLEASE!
Wheel is a solid preformer, stock pedals suck a bit.
January 11, 2014
Update 9/2014My wheel is still working very well after many many hours of use on the Xbox One and PC, still have to reset the USB port on the XBOX One every once in a while when the wheel stops responding but this only happens after the XBOX One goes into sleep mode for the most part. I finally gave up on the stock pedals which are best described as functional but crap and purchased Thrustmaster's T3PA Wide Pedal Set. The T3PA pedals are not perfect but you will truly enjoy your driving experience so much more than using the stock pedals. If Thrustmaster would sell the T3PA pedals with this wheel I would give it 4 stars. Also make sure to update the firmware even for use with the Xbox and make sure you are using the latest driver for the PC.Update 1-21-14 Ok I have about 12 hours of use now on my new 2nd 458 Thrustmaster TX wheel, so I can give you a 1st impression consumer review. I have increased my star rating from 1 to 3 now that I have a working product. Originally my wheel died just as I went to leave the starting line on my first race in Forza 5, can't begin to tell you how sad that made me! Turns out the wheel was ok and I just needed to follow the correct steps to reset the USB port on the XBOX One...good grief!Pro's;The Ferrari 458 replica wheel is just plain cool looking! With 900 degrees of rotation, the wheel felt precise.Force Feedback - good and realistic (was too strong at %100, found 65% to 70% strength to be more desirable).Buttons fully supported in Xbox One's Forza 5Changeable steering wheelWheel is heavy, solid and clamp system on desk worked well.Mounting screw holes for both pedals and wheel work perfectly with my Playseat WRC racing seat.Spacing of brake and gas suited me well as I'm a left foot breaker and was very appreciative of the large brake pedal.Con's;Expensive!!Must own a PC to update the firmware. The rubber coated steering wheel stinks and your hands feel unclean after using, although it seems to be getting better with use.Pedals - cheap feeling and light!! Seriously did anybody at Thrustmaster try and play with these pedals sitting on the floor!!??? Even with your left foot trying to hold it down they slide around. (Note they DO have mounting holes though).Pedals - Gas pedal has developed a high pitch metallic squeak when using.Overall;I'm more than a little concerned in the reliability, time will tell at this point and I will update with anymore issues. My gut feeling is I'm not really getting a good value for my money but I just can't play Forza 5 on the Xbox One without a wheel so this is my only choice right now.Update 1-15-14 Amazon RMA'd my wheel instantly on Saturday night and new one shipped to me by late Wednesday afternoon, thank you Amazon you do a wonderful job!!!! Of note I did submit a tech support request but I had received my new wheel before I ever heard from Thrustmaster.1-11-14 I followed the instruction to the letter, installed the Thurstmaster wheel driver/software on PC and then hooked up my new wheel, everything tested fine. I performed the firmware update as instructed to the letter before using on XBox One. I verified the firmware was fully update v45 I tested all buttons, wheel and pedals and everything worked fine while connected to the PC. Followed instructions to the letter in attaching wheel to the XBox One, it worked fine in the Xbox home screen and in the menus of Forza 5. Started race, wheel worked, buttons worked but car would not move forward when stepping on the gas, then all the lights went out on the wheel and the XBox One Console popped up a message controller disconnected. Removed USB and Power connection for a few minutes and tried to fire the wheel back up but it appears to be dead now both with Xbox and PC, so very disappointing after spending such a great deal of money. Now I will get to see how Amazon and Thurstmaster go about helping me either getting a replacement or my money back.
I'm having fun! But not trouble free
January 2, 2014
Jan 17thI played with the wheel by ten days and I guess I can give an good opinion about it based on my experience. The wheel is built completely in plastic, it seems awful saying this way, but you can fell that the wheel gives a good feeling when you hold it, it fitted perfectly on my racing chair and the experience is truly awesome, the wheel has a good range for accelerating and braking, the force feedback works well (so well that I had to set FFB percentage to 85) and the wheel itself is very responsive. But I found some trouble. Sometimes I'm in full throttle, the engine makes the noise but the speed simply stagnates, eg. keeps 60mph, then I have to release my foot and then give full throttle again, then the speed raises. Wheel layout is another problem, because it's a replica of Ferrari 458 Italia real wheel, then the buttons are not well place, there are many useless buttons and they're uncomfortable to use when you browse the in-game menus, I'd rather to have a wheel projected for to work perfectly either racing or browsing in-game menus than to have a "Ferrari Official Product" and get this weakness. As this wheel is the only one available so far to play Forza 5, I think it's a good one, but if I had not bought this one yet I would wait for Mad Catz wheel for sure.Jan 6thSo, Thrustmaster took a while to answer my email (4 days), but after they answered it, they were quick to solve the problem, I had to run another program on my PC to force a new wheel recalibration. After this the wheel was working either on PC and on the Xbox. Now I'm changing my review rating to a neutral level and I'll play until I get used to the wheel and be able to talk about its quality. If you have the same problem I described below, just send them the email and be patient, because they're gonna answer with some delay.Jan 2ndSo, this wheel looks good, it has a good level of detailing, despite it body is all plastic. It is fixed great on a default cockpit and it seems to have a good pedal set. However, the wheel simply stopped working after I've updated according with Thrustmaster's recommendation. When I first connected the wheel to the PC it self-calibrated normally, but after the update it lose responsiveness to every command, except for the Xbox button when I try to connect to the console, every time I connect either to the PC or to the console, it just turn about 10 degrees to the right and stops completely. The software used to do that is really limited, doesn't allow me to reverse the firmware or run a diagnosis tool or something that goes further than installing the updated firmware. And on the support website you can find nothing useful, only the software and some foolish hints, I've been trying to be in touch with Thrustmaster's support but they simply didn't answer my e-mail. This situation is truly disappointing.

Worked for a few minutes.
October 1, 2016
This wheel looks amazing! The feel and experience is amazing, but only if I could have actually gotten to try it. The wheel only lated a few minutes before it completely died. I didn't move anything but just stopped working in the middle of Forza Horizon 3. Tried reinstalling drivers, unpligging it and reconnecting to different USB, and restarting my PC, but unfortunately, nothing seems to work. People online seem to have many issues with this wheel so I recommend to stay away from this.
Worked GREAT for about 15 minutes.
March 10, 2016
I'm debating between one and two stars here but I'll give two for the moment, as I am currently awaiting receipt of a replacement for this product.I would describe this product most briefly like this: A cool idea that is a complete pain in the neck. The wheel needs a firmware update before you can use it so I did that first. The Thrustmaster web site has a download link and instructions for how to do it but between the web site layout and the fact that they clearly do not employ actual writers, the whole process is a lot harder than it needs to be.But I followed the instructions, downloaded and installed the update software to my PC, then plugged the wheel into my PC's USB port. After my PC went through the rather laborious process of getting and installing drivers, the update software could not recognize that the wheel was actually connected. It took me several tries in several different USB ports to finally get a response. Ultimately it worked. Maybe they make it difficult so that when it finally does work you're so exhilarated that you just LOVE the product. Then I plugged the wheel's USB cable into my Xbox One's side USB port. The Xbox did not know it was there. Great. Plug the wheel into the back USB port. Nothing. Other USB port. Nothing. I Googled the problem and began the process of finding out that this is not an uncommon problem. I went through all the variations of powering down and unplugging the wheel and the Xbox in all imaginable combinations. Still nothing. AARRGH. I plugged a USB flash drive into each of the Xbox's USB ports and it recognized the drive each time. So it wasn't the Xbox.Plugged the wheel back into my PC and went through the firmware update process again. Which is completely silly. It strikes me as the same thing as pushing the Walk button repeatedly like so many people do. What's even more silly is IT WORKED.Now suddenly I'm playing Forza for the first time on my new Xbox One. Yay!On my second try at playing Forza, a day later, I plugged the wheel in. Lights come on, the wheel spins one way and then the other, calibrating, I'm excited!... Then nothing. No response. Xbox doesn't recognize it. All lights go out except the Mode light. I unplug it and plug it back in. Same thing. I plug that USB flash drive in again and the Xbox sees it again, so again, it's not the Xbox.So I'm thinking, hm, re-updating the firmware worked once, let's try again. Plugging the wheel into my laptop, I got the same response: It calibrates, then goes dead. I update the already-updated firmware. That didn't help.So I Google this problem and once again learn that it's quite common for the Thrustmaster TX wheel. It appears that the problem is most likely the USB breakaway cable. Some people who had my problem fixed it by buying a new breakaway cable or using the one that came with their Xbox 360. Several others fixed the problem by CUTTING the breakaway adapter off of both USB cords (the one on the adapter and the one on the cord attached to the wheel) and attaching the wires directly.Forget that. I returned the wheel. I'm waiting on the replacement now, and will hopefully get it tomorrow. I'll report back on how it goes. If the replacement works I'll probably add a star. Either way, this is ridiculous. Especially for the price of this product.
Buyer beware!!
August 21, 2015
When the wheel first worked It was great but the force feedback started to get weaker and weaker. I first thought the wheel was just breaking in but it finally died and no longer calibrates and works. Amazon and The Factory depot told me that since I was past 30 days they could not help me. $300 dollars for less than 2 months of light use is not acceptable.
DIED at 3 months of ownership, not use.
February 28, 2015
The wheel is good when it works. At about 3 months of ownership the wheel decided to completely die on me while playing Forza 5. It won't calibrate on either the PC or Xbox One. It is still recognized on the PC and says that the device is working properly but nothing happens. The over temp fan sounds like it comes on once the wheel receives power. If you try to move the wheel manually it is very resistant and doesn't sound very good. After about 2 weeks of dealing with Thrustmaster Tech Support with their troubleshooting procedures I had to make a video of my issue. Once they saw my video they said they will ship me a new wheel base but since I am an American stationed in the UK right now that I have to mail it in myself with my own box/packaging/money so they can repair or replace it. This process will take 2-4 weeks to be complete so who knows how long I have to wait to get it back once I send it off this Monday. Extremely frustrated. On the other hand my T300RS is still kickin'.
Just a poor product with even worse support.

The was sloppy out of the box. Needed a firmware update and to be set with a PC. Worked ok but couldn't get the feel right. Found through a forum that they don't tell you there are additional settings in the paperwork that accompanies the wheel. Went to thrustmasters website again under support and found the sensitivity settings. Big difference. There is still a small dead space in the middle of the wheel. Just enough to be annoying. So after a little over a month of once or twice a week use the wheel has quite. I call their customer support as their website is VERY limited. Of course I get a girl who speaks terrible english, and tells me three wheels have the same name so I need to take the wheel off the stand it's bolted to and read the tag on the bottom. Seriously? Why wouldn't they just make one red, one green and one blue for example, or here's a thought. New name for each wheel!!!!!!! THen she want to go through trouble shooting. So I tell her well plug it in, then the light go out. The End. She said they would send me an email on what to do next. Still haven't received it. So in conclusion. I really like the wheel before I took it out of the box. All downhill after that.
Updated: July '16 - Warranty/repair problems
March 10, 2014
When it works, it is great. When it doesn't, it's horrible. I bought one new from the Microsoft Store. It died within 24 hours (seems to be a disturbingly common experience). I was going to exchange it when I saw one advertised "used in 'good' condition" from Amazon. When I received it, it was obviously new (twist ties not removed, pristine, like new except original box missing). It worked perfectly right out of the [generic] box and has been perfect for 72 hours of hard use. The features are great: the force feedback is very realistic and it has 'road feel' that has to be experienced to be believed. Bumps, braking, skidding and acceleration all are reflected in the wheel. It truly adds another dimension to Forza 5. Yes, it's pricey. Yes, if you're a serious gaming racer, it's worth it. I bought a wheel stand to enhance it further: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0061EER58/ref=pe_385040_30332200_pe_309540_26725410_item. UPDATED REVIEW; Recently I've had some bad experience with Thrustmaster. The proudly tout a 2-year warranty on their (European) website, but you have to go to the fine print to discover it's only ONE YEAR in the US and Canada. So when my wheel died on 7/16 I was disappointed to be told it was no longer under warranty. Fair enough, but publicize equally what your policy is, TM. Further, I would have to pre-pay shipping for repair - to Canada, pay all duties (which tend to be high) in advance, and pay a $60 non-refundable fee for them to look at it. It is obvious to me that THRUSTMASTER DOES NOT WANT NORTH AMERICA BUSINESS. I have changed my review to reflect this.

I have about 10 hours with this wheel on Forza 6 for Xbox One. Approx. 7 hours in the D pad button "Engine Start Button" literally fell off the wheel. Needless to say I am pretty unhappy with the quality of the build for a 400 dollar controller. Contacted the 3rd party vendor who sold it through Amazon and of course they only have a 30 day warranty so now I have to try and deal with Thrustmaster directly which I'm sure will be to no avail. Any way if your looking for a quality built wheel you may want to look elsewhere. Apparently you still don't always get what you pay for.

I have been using thrustmaster products for about a year now, and after purchasing 5 items and spending $800, I have had 2 bases, the t3pa petals AND the 458 italia steering wheel itself have problems. I wouldn't recommend buying anything from thrustmaster.

Old review on bottom. Just recently I'm having major calibration issues that are slowly getting worse. I believe I originally gave this product a 4 star rating but if my issue is no resolved I could not recommended this product to anyone especially with what it costs. Hopefully thrustmaster is cooperativeSo far so good. I've heard the reliability problems with this wheel but so far I've had no problems(knock on wood). The wheel has really given me a deep forza 5 experience. The force feedback is amazing . My only complaint would be the pedals and I will be upgrading my pedals eventually but it doesn't ruin my experience at all. (The force feedback may be tough to get used to at first but once you get used to it you will want to play with it cranked all the way up ).edit. I just got my new base setup. hopefully I have better luck with the second base. I will continue to report as time goes on
Will die on you quickly

DEAD ON ARRIVAL. It worked for a few seconds then i noticed all lights were off. This is definitely the result of a POS power supply. Terrible quality!!!!

i bought this wheel to only have it fail after about a month worth of use and when I tried to contact the company they took over a week to reply to my email. Even when it worked the software was not perfect. The wheel would not respond when ever id switch music and then go back to my game. Also sometimes when im online racing the wheel would not respond when the race would start. So frustrating, I would have to unplug it a re-plug it back in so it wold work but by that time im already half a lap behind! When the wheel would work it was great but these annoyances really diminish the enjoyment of the wheel. I wish I had bought the madcats at this point.
