Very lightweight, which is fantastic because heavier glasses will weigh down on my ears, and then it makes my head hurt. These don't do that! They are plastic frames but they are sturdy enough that I don't feel I have to be extra careful when handling them and taking them on and off my face. They are large frames but not so large that I look foolish. In fact I own another pair of frames that are larger than these but those too are adorable. I wear these over my contacts and I am contemplating on getting my Rx placed in these frames but I am not sure now. If I get all Rx lenses for my trendy fashion glasses than I won't have much use of my contacts any longer. I absolutely love them. If you have a smaller head they may be a little big but frankly big frames are always in style. They hold up pretty well also. I keep them free floating in my purse and they aren't scratched or anything. I mainly wear the print ones as the black are a little more bold than I like. Great value for the money!
