Five Star Reviews: | 53% Kids love it I love it! September 2, 2016 My kids love this toothpaste and so do I!! I feel so much better knowing my kids won't be putting all these horrible chemicals in their mouths everyday twice a day! It even smells amazing!! Safe to swallow which is perfect since my toddlers are still in the learning phase of spitting the toothpaste out lol definitely recommend #1 toothpaste out there in my opinion! A winner in our house! July 21, 2016 As a health conscious mom, it is important for me to select more natural products whenever possible for my children. After researching, I decided that I was not comfortable with the fluoride in most children's tooth paste. I have tried a few different brands of natural tooth paste for my 8, 5 and 2 year old and this is the only one that all 3 love. The baby no longer fights me when it is time to brush which makes teeth brushing much less stressful. The kids love the flavor and I love that I don't have to worry if they accidentally swallow some while brushing thanks to being fluoride free. It is not much more expensive at all in comparison to other big name children's toothpaste brands. I will continue to purchase this brand for my children and do not hesitate to recommend to friends and family. Great flavor, kids love it. March 19, 2016 My kids are really good about brushing their teeth. There are 4 of them, and when they want to brush their teeth 3 or 4 times a day, they can go through a tube of toothpaste in no time. I've been slightly concerned that my 3 year old and one year old might be swallowing too much toothpaste as they "brush" their own teeth, so I started looking for a more natural alternative to other kid toothpaste. I've tried Tom's of Maine, but my kids didn't like the strawberry flavor. While I was visiting my mom a few months ago, she brought out this Jason orange toothpaste and my kids love it! This toothpaste has no artificial colors, and the flavor and scent are very pleasant. Because it doesn't have yucky ingredients in it, I'm much calmer about my littlest ones brushing their own teeth several times a day. I'm glad I have this on subscribe and save! A hit with my littles! January 6, 2016 Tasty. My two year old loves his "crab toothpaste" We love this brand. It is our first time using it and we are really impressed. I was a bit weirded out by the orange flavor before we bought it but kids love it. They brush their teeth extra long now. Lol. We will be purchasing this again It's nice though, because my 2 year old is learning ... December 22, 2015 My kids don't care much for the taste of this toothpaste (compared to Orajel or other safe to swallow toothpaste). It's nice though, because my 2 year old is learning to spit it out instead of swallowing it, even though it is safe to swallow. I've had trouble in the past getting children to spit the toothpaste instead of swallowing. So I like it for them. We use the Jason Sea Fresh for ourselves and the older kids. Nice products! Not for kids only! November 17, 2015 Not for kids only! I got this for my kids and decided to try it myself, and think I have found my new toothpaste. It leaves my mouth feeling clean for hours. Literally, hours later my mouth still feels so clean! I wouldn't say this is the 100% most natural option because of the foaming agents, but I like my mouth feeling super clean and I can spit those foaming agents out. I've tried the non-foaming toothpastes and my mouth doesn't feel as clean. I do like the rest of the ingredient list with ingredients like calcium carbonate (some natural toothpastes don't contain this), xylitol (anti-cavity without fluoride), calendula, aloe to name a few of the good things. I like the taste too. I like that it does not contain carrageenan like other JASON toothpastes have. This is the clear winner. | 76% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |
Four Star Reviews: | 12% Great paste April 10, 2017 This is one of the cheapest natural, safe for kids, fluoride free tothpastes on the market. Ingredients are safe. My son loves this but my daughter does not prefer the flavor. I wish they had more flavor options available which is why i ave a 4/5. I like the idea, but not the taste June 4, 2016 I was really excited about this toothpaste because it seemed like a good, more natural alternative to other toothpastes. It is fairly clear in color and has a gel like consistently. It does not lather like a "normal" toothpaste, which for me, isn't an issue. However, the taste of it is not a pleasant one. I have had better luck with making my own as an alternative. I love the idea behind this toothpaste, but can't get past the taste to enjoy its benefits. Kid approved November 7, 2015 I found this toothpaste nauseating but my 2-year old son loved it! He went through a phase of not liking any flavor toothpaste I picked so tried to get him an unusual flavor. Sure enough, he liked the orange flavor! Pretty good April 10, 2014 I can't say I'm in love with the taste of this product, but it's not bad. It's a mild orange flavor that's got a little bit of a funky undertone but leaves little to no aftertaste once I rinse. I prefer the strawberry flavor, personally. I haven't been using it long enough to know whether or not it's actually preventing cavities, but my teeth are feeling pretty clean and I think that's really the bigger part of the battle. If you can get the plaque and bacteria off of your teeth, it probably doesn't matter what you clean them with--regular old soap would probably get the job done, but this tastes much better than that and does have xylitol in it, which is supposed to help prevent cavities. Give it a try if you're curious. Toddler Doesn't Swallow Toothpaste Anymore February 20, 2014 This may sound ridiculous, but we have had better luck with this average tasting toothpaste than with those that tasted like candy. My son doesn't swallow the toothpaste and the tube lasts much longer now. I have bought 10 different brands of toothpaste for my 3 year old toddler and the Jason Strawberry toothpaste has proven to work the best.I was looking for the most natural, safe, effective, and fluoride free option because my son was swallowing the toothpaste and making a mess along the way. This is certainly not the best tasting toothpaste but it isn't that bad either. However, because it does not taste as good as the mainstream blue colored brands, my toddler has stopped eating the toothpaste. He brushes his teeth now and doesn't use an incredible amount on his toothbrush either. The blue colored toothpaste products also left a terrible mess everywhere and I love that this one is clear colored so it isn't as messy. We prefer this strawberry flavor and keep it on subscribe and save every month. We use (1) 4.2 ounce tube every 30 days brushing 3 times a day and my son just had a check up at the dentist with no cavities and no signs of gum issues. | 9% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |
Three Star Reviews: | 11% Too liquidy! September 28, 2016 We are use to using Tom's toothpaste so I thought the texture would be similar. It is not. Nearly every time it drips off the tooth brush. :/ Way to liquid for my liking. The taste is good for the kiddos so they like it, but half the tube is wasted on my countertop! Too strong of a flavor. January 16, 2016 While trying to wean from babyganics tooth paste, we decided to give this one a try since I hear great things about Jason's products. My son was not a fan of the flavor and ended up giving it away. super weird. IT does taste like orange October 21, 2015 This is weird, super weird. IT does taste like orange, but a weird medicinal tang? My kids were not fans and they pretty much like anything. Ehh... February 7, 2015 The kids weren't to keen on the flavor. We ended up going with a little pricier Jack & Jill. Will look for something with better taste April 9, 2014 I love Jason products and support them as much as I can-they are animal and environmentally friendly. However, this toothpaste got a less than positive response from my three year olds. They said the taste starts off okay and then "gets yucky". I have not tried it myself but my 6 year old confirmed that it "doesn't taste right...". I did give it three stars though because my kids WILL still use it so it can't be too terrible:). I will try another fluoride free toothpaste before I by this again. My kids didn't like it November 15, 2013 I wanted to switch from our old toothpaste to one without SLS, but my kids just don't like the taste of this. The texture is also different--it's more of a gel than a paste, so it doesn't cling to the toothbrush quite as well, and I think that bothers them a bit as well. | 6% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |
Two Star Reviews: | 10% No go February 4, 2017 I'm all for fluoride free toothpaste , but didn't like this one. It's insanely sticky and feels gross. I'm not going to buy again. Next! March 2, 2016 My daughter hasn't come home to try it yet, but I can already tell the flavor on this one is a loser. She was excited to try something other than Tom's Strawberry, but I think mommy just bought herself some orange toothpaste. Maybe we'll try Jack & Jill - they seem to have more flavors, and no yucky foaming agents Yucky yucky January 7, 2016 I'm sure this toothpaste is great for your health and all; but my kids HATE the flavor. My son actually hid it for me and I spent hours looking for it thinking it was lost on accident. He hates it so much he actually risked getting in trouble not to use it! (My kids are 7, 6, and 4). I'll be ordering something else from now on. Not a fan of orange flavor October 26, 2015 We've used the Jason Stawberry toothpaste in the past, and other brands and flavors for our 3 year old and he had no problem with them. Bought the Orange flavor by mistake, and the kid did not like this one bit. He eats oranges no problem, but doesn't like this flavor. It was pretty funny to see his reaction from tasting it, which is why I gave 2 stars. But now we have a whole tube which won't be used. Kids don't like the taste July 1, 2014 Personally, I think this toothpaste is fine, but unfortunately my children dislike the taste and refuse to brush with it. Sorry, doesn't taste good March 22, 2013 I bought this for my kids and they will not use it. Although it smells wonderful, they say it tastes awful. Guess I'll go back to Toms. That I know they love. | 3% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |
One Star Reviews: | 14% My daughter disliked the taste May 2, 2017 Overall I like the Jason brand, however my daughter tells me it taste badly and refuses to use it. but this one was super bad! My six year old was gagging November 10, 2015 This toothpaste is awful! My kids can't stand it! I tried to give it to the neighbors and got a similar reaction. We use all fluoride free toothpaste, my kids are used to natural fruit flavored toothpaste, but this one was super bad! My six year old was gagging... Doesn't taste very good November 3, 2015 I bought this for my 4 year old. He used it twice didn't like the flavor. So I tried to use it and I would say that the flavor is mild orange flavor which wasn't too bad... except I there is a weird chemically after taste to it. I had to rebrush my teeth with my own mint toothpaste to get the taste out. yucky! October 20, 2015 Tastes like soap! Don't buy this yucky pastey tasting toothpaste! It is so gross. Neither of my kids (age 2 and 7) liked it, both spit it out! Safe? Kids? With alcohol and a poison control warning, I'm not thinking so. May 31, 2015 I use other JASON products (shampoo, etc) and am happy with them. Purchased this based partly on JASON's code which includes "1. Select safe, gentle and effective ingredients", yet when I received the product, there were numerous causes for concern. The ingredients list includes glycerine as it's main ingredient. Glycerine is a very broad term to describe hundreds of varieties of triglyceride-stem compounds. There are several types of glycerine - some safe and some not. Which type is this - plant derived glycerol, or maybe a cheaper animal-based, or even synthetic glycol? Second, the toothpaste contains caprylic/capric triglycerides. Why? While not harmful for external use (it is a skin softening agent derived from coconut often used in lotions) there is no evidence that it is either safe nor useful in dental/internal applications. Third, the second to last ingredient is "alcohol"! Why would you add alcohol to a kids' toothpaste? Finally, and most concerning is that this is absolutely the first toothpaste I've ever seen that includes a poison control warning "Keep out of the reach of children under 6 years of age. If you accidentally swallow more than used for brushing, seek professional assistance or contact poison control center immediately." and instructions that you should consult a dentist or physician for children under 2. Even Crest doesn't contain these warnings, and I know full well that that commercial chemically-based toothpaste shouldn't be swallowed. That leads me to believe that perhaps this toothpaste is even more dangerous. When I purchase a supposedly safe and natural product for my children, I fully expect that it does not contain the potential to harm them. This tube went right in the garbage and I will not be purchasing it unless JASON can convince me that this product is completely safe for my kids and all ingredients are absolutely necessary. Not Worth A Try...... January 6, 2015 Terrible product....... Don't waste your money trying this product. It is pretty much like washing your mouth out with citricy soap. It was a total flop, and ended up in the trash in our house. | 6% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |
