Side by Side Comparison of: Skechers vs Bearpaw

I bought these for my lady after buying her standard style slippers and her wearing them outside only to get ruined or wet due to there being no sole on the shoe to prevent water from getting in. These clearly have a defined shoe like bottom that will work great to keep the water at bay. These will likely survive a trip to the mailbox on the day after rain. She loves the look of them and they seem like they will be very durable. The top is not made of typical fabric, almost a fire hose like material which to me, means it will last. The fuzzy around the foot entry makes them seem a little more fancy. I am impressed with the quality and she loves the comfort and feel. I would recommend these to anyone who plans on wearing whatever is on their feet in and out of the house.

I can't tell you how many pairs of slippers I have purchased recently that didn't work! I have arthritis in my feet badly and need something cushioned to walk in. I ordered several slippers that were cushiony at first but then went flat after a couple days. When I first got these, I wasn't quite sure about them. They fit more like shoes at first, and have about an inch platform. Now I love them. They are soft and give support. You could wear them outside, but I prefer to keep them as my "indoor slippers". I usually wear an 8.5-9 shoe, and after reading the reviews, I ordered an 8.5 and they fit perfectly, so they are true to size! I've had them several days now, and so far so good! They didn't go flat on me yet!! So happy!! Great slipper!

Love these slippers. I am no longer able to walk barefoot as the pads on the bottom of my feet are worn away (old age!!). Plus I wear orthotics to support my arches in regular shoes. For me, these slippers provide the cushioning that I need. I can wear them several hours at a time. I tried Acorn slippers but they just weren't padded enough...I could feel the hardness of the floor when wearing them. Not so with these. These have memory foam padding and a substantial sole. No significant arch support. Even with all the padding, they only last a year for me as the memory foam compresses, but these are the best slippers I have found. I usually wear a 9 in a shoes but found that a size 10 in this slipper fits me best. I just bought 4 more pairs for future use!! Forgot to add that only the slippers with the tread like sole work. The slippers that have all the hearts on the sole are not as padded. I know cuz I got them and returned them for the more supportive tread like sole.

I love my Bobs. They were true to size and were a perfect fit. They look very fashionable for slippers, so much so that I have worn them to the store! The lining is so soft and warm that I never want to take them off. I have back problems and was looking for a slipper that I can walk around and stand for long periods of time like when I'm making a big pot of spaghetti sauce. With the Bobs I was able to stand for quite a while before my back started up. They give me the support I need. I am so happy I ordered Bobs

These are a very comfy and warm pair of slippers. They fit as I would expect - I got the 8.5 in line with my shoe size and it ifs fine. I have narrow feet, and while these are broad they did not feel uncomfortably loose. The memory foam helps these feel extra supportive and th fur keeps you warm.

What great slippers... I wear them all the time and even ran outside in them and they keep my feet toasty warm. They fit nice and stay on my feet with my bad foot. I just love them. I would totally recommend them. I bought them after my niece came to my house for Christmas wearing a pair. I was wearing her's and knew I had to get a set of my own. I know they are a bit more money than I would spend on slippers but they sure have been worth it.

I prefer Bearpaw over UGGs. They are good quality and comfortable. I have boots from several winters ago that still look almost brand new. These slippers feel the same and have a sturdy sole that you can walk outside in. Way more comfortable than Dearfoams. Worth the little extra money because they will last more than one season! (Only complaint was the box was shredded but the slippers were still perfect condition.)

Awesome slippers. Suede upper, thick shearling liner and footbed, really comfortable. I like the rubber sole so I can step outside to take trash out or get the mail without changing shoes or ruining my slippers. The lining is very thick so I would suggest ordering a size up. It's meant to be a snug fit. I wear an 8.5 and my heel is right at the end of the size 9s. If I wore an actual 9 they would be too small.I'm super happy with this slippers.

I bought these to run local errands, walk my dog, etc. They are so comfortable and cozy. I'm normally a 7.5 shoe size, but since they didn't have half sizes, I ordered a size 8. I'm glad I did. It fits perfect. If I had sized down it would have been too small on me. The only negative thing about this shoe is I bought the black with the black fur. If you don't wear socks, the dye on the fur will run and turns your feet black. So if you get a shoe with black fur, I recommend wearing socks. However, the price is great and it's made well.

Just got these today and I LOVE them! They are so comfortable and soft and I'll enjoy wearing them in the evenings when it cools down and throughout the winter months when it's colder. I've needed a good pair of slippers for quite awhile and I went right to Bearpaw because I know they're well made and super comfy! I have some boots that I adore and they feel almost as soft as these slippers. I like the mule style so I can just slip my foot in and out, but still keep my feet warm

I really like these slippers, these are my 3rd pair. There's enough support that my feet don't get tired in them. And the sole is hefty enough to wear outside if need be. I've had plantar fasciitis surgery a few yrs ago so I can't go bare foot, these are great. I've also found the "cheaper" slippers which aren't real leather, make your feet sweat and get to hot, break down quicker & just look cheap. Pay the extra a buy the good slippers

I've had these a little less than 3 months. The memory foam insoles are already pretty worn down, but they're not completely without cushioning. I imagine another couple months will render them as flat and unsupportive as a cheap pair of flip flops. The rest of the slipper has held up perfectly, and the faux fur lining is still soft and cozy. I wear these around the house every waking moment I'm home from work, so perhaps I've put a little more wear and tear on the insoles than the average person who buys these.

I broke a bone in my foot a few months ago, and needed something that would go on over a bulky bandage, be easy on my feet, and look nice enough for work. I wasn't crazy about the look of these at first (fur isn't really my style, at least not in work clothes), but with long enough pants, they look just like regular loafers. If I hadn't told anybody I was wearing slippers, no one would have known.The soles are really solid, better than most dress shoes I've worn, and I never worried about slipping or stepping on a sharp rock and re-breaking anything. The memory foam is wonderful, too; stayed comfy and supportive, without pinching or making my feet too hot. They also held up really well; I wore them to work every day for months (including a few times with an inch or two of snow) without them showing any significant wear.The one bad point is that I don't think I could wear them at home; I stepped on my cat's tail twice and didn't feel it until she screeched. If you don't have pets (or small kids) around, though, that shouldn't be a problem, and then they'd be great.

I wasn't sure about these when I first put on. They were a little tighter than expected for a slipper, but the padding in thick and they fell cozy on my feet, so I am keeping them. They went through the wash nicely with no shrinkage. They provide some support but not ergonomic like other shoes I wear.

Read a lot of the reviews; so I ordered a size bigger since the main complaint was they run too small. Wish I hadn't. My size is 8W, like Fred flinstone wide. They just needed to be broken in with a few wears. Also one of the shoes feels as though the foot bedding is placed backwards, as though the arch support is on the wrong side of the foot, but when I feel it with my hand it seems just fine. That has mostly gone away but I don't know if I just got use to it or if I broke it in already. I use these as my house shoes. I find them to be a bit on the heavy side. But they keep my feet warm and I can run to the store with them or take the dog out for a quick walk in them.

These are very comfortable slippers. I wanted house slippers that are comfortable and warm, especially because I am pregnant and need good support. I also wanted to get slippers to possibly think about taking to the hospital when I have the baby, so I like that these have a great non-slip bottom. The slippers do have great support and definitely keep your feet warm. My only complaint, which is small, is the fur inside makes them a little slippery if wearing socks, so I tend to only wear them with bare feet. They don't slip off, but I can just feel my feet moving around more if I am in socks. Overall though, these are worth the value and a good shoe to have! They look exactly as pictured (I have the black color).

If I had never worn the original Skechers, like these, I would have thought they were great. But, I did have the originals. They feel good when you first put them on, but when you step down it feels like your foot goes all the way to the sole. This may not be a problem for someone not as heavy as me (150). There isn't a lot of shock absorption when you step down either. Actually, except for the insole being nice and fluffy and new, these don't feel much better than my originals that I have had for 4 yrs.As conforming as these are, it's surprising that my feet don't sweat.It sounds contradictory, but I would recommend these; mainly because I have looked and looked and I don't think you can buy the others anymore.If you have never worn the original Skechers you will love these.

When this slipper first arrived I was pleasantly surprised at the genuine sheep shearling inside and the suede leather upper. Initially the fit was snug as other reviewers have expressed. However, I wore them for a week with socks and without and the shearling has molded to my foot and now is perfect. I am a size 7 which is what I ordered. I had a pair of knock-offs from Target which I wore for a couple of years in the winter months. The bridge of this slipper is longer (on the top of the foot) so that took a little getting used to, but these are comfy, quality slippers and worth the $28.00. Love the black on black and they have not turned my feet green/black, though I mostly wear socks when wearing. The sole is not as durable as the Target brand (which makes them more light-weight), but I mostly wear them around the house and only occasionally outside.

I ordered the pair in bronze because it is pictured with the very light color shearling, I don't like the dark shearling colors because they do tend to stain from time to time, I was a little disappointed to see the slipper arrived with a very dark brown lining and not the light ivory that is pictured. I have a slender foot and it's nice to have a slipper that you don't slide around in, I am size 7 to 7.5 in a normal shoe, on the slender side... I ordered a size 7, they fit wonderfully.

Very comfortable, easy to get on shoes. Used to wear slippers out all the time, but they would get wet on the fabric and my whole foot and sock would be soaked. The hard soles on the BearPaws are really nice and they have held up pretty well. The insides wear down fairly quick, but I really don't wear any other shoes when the weather gets cold. The only downfall - the bottoms have no grip on packed snow or ice. I have slipped a few times in them, so you must be very careful. Would purchase again though.

Great warm scuffs, sized a bit small. I normally wear a 9 1/2 B, but sometimes must upsize to a 10, usually that is plenty of room, often too much. In this case, I ordered the size 10 in green. Have been wearing them around the house for a couple days and they are stretching a bit to accommodate my foot. The toe box is a bit tight at first, but getting more comfy as I wear them in.

these are not Uggs but for the price they are excellent slippers....I wear them 24/7 and not problems for 6 months now, I wear them indoors and out....and like I said for the $$$ they are really worth it...I am buying a couple more pair, because when I am in home I wear nothing but slippers and run out side with them on too. buy these you won't regret. They fit exactly like expected, they are slip ons so most size will fit comfortably.

While not the best quality slipper with a sheepskin lining, it is more than adequate for the price. Very warm, and easy to slipinto. The fleece on the footbed is on the thin side, but I did not expect Ugg quality with this slipper, at this price. There arecomplaints of the sheepskin becoming flat and thin, but for this price it is still a well made slipper. In my opinion, it will lasta season or two. It runs true to size, and if my feet are a little cold, I wear them with a pair of socks. The sole is very sturdy,and suitable for trips to the mailbox, or picking up a newspaper. All in all, I am pleased with this Bearpaw slipper.

I really like the BOBS line, but their sizes seem to be all over the place. I originally ordered the Keepsakes Ice Angel Slipper in a 7W and they were a half size too long. I ordered these in a 6.5XW and they were too small. Will go back and reorder the Ice Angel in a half size smaller.

The main thing anybody should know about these "slippers" or slip-ons shoes is that they run small. They also can me in different widths, so your are obviously not going to need a larger scale zen IF you buy a wide. However, IF they are NOT a wide, you will need to ORDER AT LEAST A HALF SIZE UP!When my "slippers" arrived, the left shoe had sewing defect of visible WHITE thread on seam, so I returned these for a refund. In addition, I wasn't impressed with this slippers quality, especially since I wanted to wear them outside (a lot), even in a little snow. So, I decided on Sketchers Fortress Clog, which is a much better quality shoe. I don't know why they call them slippers (except maybe b/c they are slip-on shoes??), but the Fortress Clogs are definitely made for outdoors! I absolutely LOVE them! Yes, they cost a little more than the Keepsakes but totally BETTER all the way around, hands down!

Very warm, but not comfortable to wear all day. they are very stiff in the sole, I'm hoping that they break in a bit as i wear them more also the seem wide in the heel, they slip off my heels as i walk but narrow across the ball of the foot. not returning as i just use them around the house but will not purchase again

The slippers appear to be very sturdy, they are quite comfortable and cozy. I'm disappointed that the fur lining inside the shoe has already started coming off. There is pretty large area on the inside right now with no fur lining so I'm not so sure how long these shoes will continue being comfortable. Which is pretty bad considering these aren't exactly a cheap pair.

the slippers are ok but they definetly run large.. wish I would have sized down.. I normally wear a size 8 but these feel loose on my feet.. slippers tend to streatch out after being worn for awhile so not happy that they are already kind of sloppy on my feet. i did find them locally and tried them on in a 7 1/2 and the fit was perfect... ..I find that wearing them with socks is better and the sole is great to run to the mailbox .. thinking if i had sized down my review would have been better... i just went back and looked at some of the reviews and find a lot of people say they run small.. i am amazed... mine are definetly too big.. the left slipper seems bigger than the right. slides all over even with socks.. so good luck with the sizing.. hope you get a pair that fits. UPDATE: well i have had to trash these slippers.. I kept tripping because they were a bit too big... I tripped and fell .. knocked myself out and got a one inch gash above my eye.. at first I thought I broke a bone in my cheek but seems to be ok now...

Okay, honestly, I loved these shoes when I got them. They were wide for like I'd ordered and true to size. It took a moment for me to get used to the lip and they did need to be broken in but it only took about a day. I wow them all the time and they really helped my feet to not hurt so bad. But now that I've worn them so much, they're almost too loose and I feel like I have to scrunch up my toes to keep them on when I walk. I still wear them occasionally when I'm not hurting too begin with and they keep my feet super warm so I still like them.

These are fine, but they get 3 stars because the sizing is off by a lot. I bought this as a gift for someone who wears an 8. They were too small for her, I had to get it in a 9 for her. I normally wear a 7, but I was able to wear the 8 just fine, they were not too big in any way.

These slippers are very warm. The length for a size 10 is accurate however they are wider than average. It is hard for me to keep them on without wearing socks. Also the black fur sheds everywhere! I am constantly picking up small shreds of the black fur everywhere...rugs, hardwood floor, tiles....everywhere!

I have been buying them for myself and family members for years. If you need a slipper that gives great support for your feet, knees and hips, this is the ticket. I would not recommend buying the black. I bought them for my daughter's birthday and her feet were heavily tinted black immediately and continued to do so. It washes off but it looks terrible. This is not from wearing them all day either! It may be a defect. It is too late for me to send them back. Rather expensive for wearing with socks in the garage.

I bought these because I broke my ankle and needed something easy to slip on and off and that I didn't didn't to fit over my brace. They don't quite work for what I need them for. They run at least a full size small and are also very tight. I'm sure they will loose up with some wear since they are a nice suede, but just to painful to out on right now. Lining is nice and fluffy when they arrived.

This is actually a repeat purchase of the same item. I received the charcoal Bearpaws for Chriatmas in '13, and wore them down until I had to let them go this Spring. Because of the cost, I put off replacing them until the cold hit again. I was practically stalking the delivery truck I was so excited about them arriving last week! I ordered a 1/2 size up as before since they only carry whole sizes. Unfortunately, the 8 felt like more of a 7 this time. The width is loosening up, but it looks like my feet are too far off the back of slipper. Also, I immediately noticed they don't feel nearly as comfortable as my first pair. The cushioned sole that I couldn't wait to walk on again, feels more like when my first pair were on their last steps.I gave 3 stars because there was nothing wrong, per say, with the item, and this could just be my memory deceiving me on how great my original pair were. However, my wife bought a pair of off-brand as Marshalls yesterday for $10 and I didn't want to take them off. I will go that route when this pair wears out.Not sure if Bearpaw changed their quality, or my slipper standards have changed. ;)

Have had them almost a year and the black dye still comes off on my feet, I have to wear Sox with them. Also, I wish they had a little more arch support since I have a problem with my plantar fascia. They are warm and like the easy on and off.

I was looking for some good memory foam slippers, for arch support and to wear everyday around the house. I bought these in February. By the end of April, the insides are coming out when I take my foot out of the slippers, even with socks on. They are comfortable, but the memory foam flatted out about one month after purchase. Disappointed with the interior, but the exterior is holding up ok. Shame I have to buy another pair, or find something else to wear.

These are a really nice pair of slippers. I love ALMOST everything about them. There is one very important issue that is really bothering me. I have had these slippers for 12 days and wear them around the house in the evening and the morning. The material inside the slipper on the sole has come up and bunched up and it is very uncomfortable on my toes. I can't understand why this would happen with wearing them less than 2 weeks. The material by the toes should not have come up. The slippers seem to be well made - so why would they make the inside sole so cheaply? If it not for this very uncomfortable issue, these slippers have gotten 5 stars.

Very cute and seem very comfortable, but these are WAY too big. There is no way I could wear them around. There is about a half inch gap from my heel and the back of the shoe. I wear a 7 1/2 in dress shoes and an 8 in athletic shoes. I ordered a 7 1/2 since I wouldn't be wearing socks with them and because other people have said they are big. I even used the measuring chart they have and measured my feet. I did not get them returned in time, so now I'm stuck with them. If you do not go smaller by at least a size I'd estimate, then be prepared to return them. I wish I had located some in the store to try on first.

The shoes fit great, but after having them for 2 months the inside lining of the shoe is separating from the shoe. I contacted Sketchers and Amazon, and neither will do anything about it. In the future, I will be very skeptical of buying Sketchers because of their poor customer service and poor quality of the shoes.

While the footbed of these slippers is comfy, nothing else is. The sole is very firm and inflexible. They run a full size too small. The toe box is hard, like there's hard plastic in between the layers of fabric, and it pushes down on the tips of my toe nails. I expect that it I wore these with socks, It would cause holes in the toes of the socks. They do seem like a quality slipper, which is why I gave them two stars. They just aren't for me.

ADD: These shoes STRETCH A LOT! If you wear a medium sized shoe, you will need a narrow, but it doesn't like there is a narrow. Mine stretched to the point that on the very lightest incline or tilt, my ankle twists out of them. This has happened many times. Twice I sustained an ankle injury. If you are lucky enough to usually wear a large width shoe, go ahead and order the medium with. I HAVE BEEN OUTRIGHT INJURED FROM WEARING THESE AFTER THEY STRETCHED!!!!!!! That was still too small. Do not hesitate or even think about ordering your regular size. Also, I am uncertain but I WONDER IF THE SOLE OF THE SHOE MAY CONTAIN LATEX. There is a distinct, strong rubbery odor. They kind of smell likes tires. I have a latex allergy. After handling the shoe very briefly, my lips started to swell up just like they do when I am in contact with latex. No. I did not put my lips on the shoe. That would be weird. That is just how my latex allergy presents in the beginning. I was unable to find anything that stated what the soles are made of, so I cannot state absolutely they have latex. They are made in China. In my experience a lot of products from China contain latex.All that said, if they were the right size and my lips didn't swell, this seems like awesome shoes. Very comfortable. I would actually recommend them and would advise people about definitely ordering a size up and heads up there may or may not be latex in the soles.

This is my second pair of these slippers! The first pair cost less yet were so comfortable and warm and lasted 2 years. This pair were extremely stiff and the fur is coming off the footbed in huge CHUNKS!! I have had them less than a month! I was so bummed because I wore my last pair everywhere all winter (i live in northern Wisconsin) I don't think this pair will make it long enough to even see a snow flake! I should have just returned them right away when I got them. I knew the quality was no where near the same as the first pair i had. So i think this is the last time I will buy this style from BearPaw. But I do love the other BearPaw boots I have! Order at your own risk! You may get a perfect pair that feel like walking on clouds or you may get a pair that feels like ypu bpught them at walmart!!!

The black Loki mule was so narrow that only a child's foot could fit in it. However, the brown Loki mule has a comfortable width. I kept the brown slippers. I had ordered both the size nine and size ten in black to see how they would fit but they both squeezed my feet.

These are black inside so the turn my feet dark and or my socks. I like the ones that have the lighter inside they all fit good. Except for the black fur inside turning my feet black. They are good.

They're not suede (cardboard??) and the soles are not rubber (some kind of foam??). They were inexpensive and are comfortable but the description is leading as to the materials. I wanted them to be able to run outside occasionally, and they are falling apart with this use!! Cannot recommend.

Got these as a gift to my mother in law. Was instantly turned off that they were made in China. The soles are also just plastic-like, not rubber, so they don't grip or stick on hard wood. I'm concerned they are more of a danger than a comfort for walking in hard wood floors.

I own at least 5 pairs of bearpaw boots, all with shearling lining. At first I didn't order these slippers - I ordered the Emu Australia ones because they were on sale for a few bucks less. They were luxurious! - but the slipper didn't come all the way up over my foot, only halfway, and I thought they would be awkward to walk in. So I decided to order these because they came in such pretty colors and the upper slipper part looked larger. I ordered the boysenberry color. When I received them and opened the package my first thought was 'oh my, what a lovely color!' But when I pulled them out of the plastic, I noticed the purple dye had bled all over the wool. And I the wool inside the slipper is wicked tough - not soft and silky like the Emu Australia ones. I'm so disappointed. These are going back.

I have always worn a size 6.5 in every skechers slip on of this style. Even before they branched out to the Bobs brand and in the Bobs brand the 6.5 is perfect. However, this shoe was very short in length and tight around the furry section on the end of the body of the shoe. I even tried to "stretch" it a bit to see if it would break in but it constricted my foot even with a very think sock on. I almost wonder if the shoes being sold are defective and that's why they are still available. I purchased this year's model of the same shoe in a department store and the 6.5 is perfectly fine. I don't know why this shoe is so messed up it has to be defective.

I hate to give bad reviews, but these are extremely poor quality. I got these as a Christmas present from my husband. After work, the shoes and clothes come off, and comfy clothes and slippers go on. They say it's a padded inside - well sort of. It was actually kind of hard. I really liked the look, so I wanted to keep them. However, after only three days of my 2-4 hours of wearing them around the house in the evening - the inside of the shoe already started wearing away and fabric was tearing off. It's not like I'm hiking around the house for four hours!! I had to return them. :(

Had to return immediately, very disappointed. I am 9 months pregnant and this was my Christmas present to myself, I was so tired of having to bend over and physically put my shoes on that I desperately wanted something I could easily slip on. These shoes were so small, I ordered them two sizes too big due to the reviews and still, my heel hung off the back. I cried on Christmas morning, I wanted these to be good soooo badly. I will say that the returns process was extremely easy though.I ended up going to Walmart the day after Christmas and purchasing a similar pair (brown instead of grey) for $19.99 instead of the ridiculous price of the BOBS and I'm actually wearing them right this second and they have become my go-to shoes. Love them. Sad the BOBS didn't work out.

I bought a pair of these shoes 1 & 1/2 years ago & they fit perfect, I loved them. So I ordered another pair exactly same shoes & size, way to small & very narrow, so i am not to happy!!

I am completely disgusted with the quality of these slippers. Not once but twice I have received a defective pair. The first pair the very top layer of material on the inside was all matted and tattered up making it bunch up under my foot as I moved.... this is how they arrived. I really liked them so returned them for a new pair hoping for better. Big mistake getting my hopes up for a comfy pair of slippers. The next pair arrived today and upon putting my foot my toes fell into what seemed like a black hole on only one of the slippers. After sticking my hand in to see I discovered at least half an inch of the insole is missing by the toe and theirs a nice decent sized gap. I decided to inspect even further. It looks like these may have been worn as there looks to be a burn mark on the side of one of the soles and one of the soles looks a little uneven and worn down. As I said, I'm completely disgusted with these.

These were awesome when I first got them. Super comfy, cute & warm. However, they arrived in January & they're already falling apart in two separate places. Part of the insole is coming loose & folded up on the inside. I quit wearing them because it feels like I have something constantly stuck in my shoe. Also, the stitching at the top of the outside fuzzy part has come loose & there's about a one inch tear. I'm totally disappointed because they were so comfy. With a price tag of around $35, I figured these would last me for years, not fall apart after 2 1/2 months. :(

I am a solid size 10 and haven't had any problem with sizing in years. These were not only uncomfortably small ( I had to recheck to make sure they sent the correct size), but there was a label on the inside of both slippers that felt very uncomfortable as they rubbed against my foot.

The upper was great - but the soles were cheap and slippery and not what I expected. I returned them.

I purchased these slippers in Pomberry for my daughter and myself. They just arrived and since I saw that some reviewers said the black ones rubbed off, I decided to check these out when they arrived today. I took a white cloth and softly rubbed it on the shoes and the cloth turned pink. I'm so glad I did this because both my daughter and I have beige carpets and beige couches. This would have been awful if our slippers ruined anything.. Now I have to return both pairs. I would have exchanged both pairs for the camel color but they were out of stock. Now I don't have slippers for Christmas.

I have bought these from Macy's same brand and they lasted over two years. I bought these that say they are Bear Paw, they are falling apart after two months. I am very disappointed in the product, same price as Macy's, just didn't want to go shopping, next pair I'll go shopping. Don't buy from this reseller!!!!!!

I ordered A size up, good thing as they run small. A waste of money in my opinion though, after a month of use the fur and padding wore off of the heel area. I will spend more for a better quality brand

The material is suede with synthetic fake fur glued/sewn on. Yes, it is warm, but it does NOT breathe. The upper is also a little hard and uncomfortable.
