Side by Side Comparison of: Acorn vs MUK LUKS

My first pair of Acorns I have had for six years and I still love them. They're holding up as far as the stitching goes, but getting a little raggedy on the fabric because I've washed & worn them so much both indoors & out all these years (like taking the dogs out back to potty in the winter time) that I felt it was time for a second pair. These are definitely not a disappointment. Same high quality, same comfort and coziness. I wear an 8W, so the 8/9M fits me perfectly. These are by far the warmest & best wintertime slippers I have ever owned. Got a men's pair for my husband, too, and he adores them. I hope they never stop making Acorns!

These are super adorable but, most of all, comfortable! My sister told me she has two acorn slippers and they have good cushion. I wanted to get a pair of slippers that can withstand washing and great cushion. I found them in these pair. Keep in mind this particular acorn slipper design runs a little large. As a reference, I usually wear size 8 women's in sneakers/sandals/general footwear but my sister recommended that i purchase 6.5-7.5 in these because the materials will loosen up over time. Perfect fit! I can still wear socks too!!! Give them a try :)

My wife loves Acorn slippers and because we can't find them in local stores, we're thrilled that Amazon carries them. They last for years. In fact, my wife tires of the color long before they wear out. They wash nicely in the washing machine (I can't yet vouch for this particular style) and never feel "floppy." Their hard soles mean they can be worn outside to get the mail. These soles are harder and have a little tread compared to the smoother soles of previous pairs. They are cozy and warm. What more do you want in a slipper?

This is my second pair of Acorn slippers. My first pair started separating between the upper and the sole, and that was after about 4 years of living in them. They might even be repairable...something to look at when I have the time. Got this pair and wore them on and off for a few days, but have been wearing my old ones so that the new ones will last longer. Doesn't make sense? Well, that's my thought process sometimes and I just stopped questioning and let things roll how they're gonna roll, lol.

Absolutely love these slippers! Extremely comfortable, fit like a glove, feels like you're walking on a cloud! I highly recommend these to anyone. I thought these would run small but they don't. Give them a try you won't go wrong.

THIS IS MY SECOND PAIR OF THESE SLIPPERS, THEY ARE WARM AND CUSHY. MY FIRST PAIR LASTED TWO YEARS! I ORDERED A SIZE 5-6 EVEN THOUGH I NORMALLY WEAR A SIZE 61/2 TO 7 SHOE SIZE. THEY ARE SNUG WHEN YOU FIRST START TO WEAR THEM AND VERY SOON THEY STRETCH OUT TO JUST THE RIGHT SIZE. I PROBABLY WOULD NOT HAVE KNOWN THIS IF I HADN'T TRIED MY FIRST PAIR ON AT THE STORE WHERE I BOUGHT THEM. THEY LAST LONGER THAN THE WOOLRICH ONES I HAVE HAD PREVIOUSLY AND COME IN SOME GREAT COLORS.

Bought as a gift for my girlfriend and she wears them everyday. Slippers have held up extremely well for the past year. She liked them so much that I bought another pair for her for Christmas, she always talks about them. Highly recommend and would/did buy again.

Bought for my 70+ yo mother who has difficulty reaching her feet. She slips her toes into the front and hooks her finger over the back and her foot slides right in. She is very happy with them.

Love these. They are so comfortable! With my feet in these I feel like I'm walking on a cloud. The lining keeps my feet nice & toasty without them getting sweaty. I only wear these indoors. Trust me, for apartment living they're the best. I bought these, because my feet were freezing before they turned on the heat in my building. These keep them nice & warm. I actually look forward to cold days so I have an excuse to wear them.

These are really wonderful slippers. They are warm and fuzzy and cozy, and the sole looks durable. (So many slippers have their soles wear through in half a year, then you have to throw them out.) This is just what I was looking for.

I really liked these slippers and I have another pair from a couple of years ago (though not this color/design) and they fit great but, the reason I bought these was because I had purchased some woolrich slippers that stretched horribly after about 4 months of wear and I really liked the acorn brand. The price was pretty good but, I'm having to return them because they're a little too loose and I don't want to end up with 'baggy' slippers. Too bad. I may exchange them for the smaller size in the hopes that they will fit and, if snug, they may stretch over time to be perfect.

I loved the ACORN flip flops and i thought i'd give this a try during the winter months. Cute, comfy, and rubber sole make it safe to go up and down hard wood floors. 1 less star because the size runs a lil big. Im a size 8.5 or 9 depending on shoe type, and i ordered size 8-9 and its a lil big. Maybe its because i dont wear socks with it. Will order another size smaller. 😬

These moc slippers are toasty. I wear a 7 ordered the 6.5-7.5 size. they are a bit large. I just wear socks and they are fine. I had a hard time finding correct fir and warm booties slippers this winter that were not too large or too small and couldn't so I ordered these instead. I like they are easy on and off, material is super warm and cozy. Rubber sole is great for getting the mail or walking to in the garage. The bottom has quite a bit of padding and it took a couple of days to get use to. So glad I ordered these.

I purchased my first pair of acorns about 2 years ago in a size 8-9. I usually wear an 8.5 and they were huge! They flopped off my feet when I walked. Very annoying but I got used to it... Finally I decided to replace my old acorns only because they got dirty looking, but the comfy cushy bottoms are still holding up. This time I ordered the next size down, 6.5-7.5. I was very nervous about this since I wear an 8.5 and it just seems crazy. Well they arrived today and they are tight on my big toes... bummer. They're not flopping off my feet thankfully tho... I'm hoping I can break these babies in before I get an ingrown toe nail. Wish me luck. Acorn needs to fix their sizing! Grrrr.

I was surprised that these ACORN slippers are not "super-comfy," like the thong or "flip-flop" type slippers, I had purchased some years ago. I was honestly expecting them to have a fuller, thicker sole which is critical to relieving the pain and discomfort of very,TIRED feet. These slippers could be greatly "improved" by making them with much more cushion or memory foam. They need feel like, "Awwwwwww" when you first put them on, and sadly they do not. Plus, I keep feeling something somewhat in the center to back part of the slipper, that kinda feels like a garment tag, plastic attacher or something, is embedded in the sole. I thought about sending them back, but trust the ACORN brand... hoping they'll feel better over time. For the price, I was expecting ALOT more comfort, though NO FAULT of the seller. My Wa-lmart dearfoams, which I paid about $12 for, are actually a little bit more comfortable than these.

Love the slippers! They're very comfortable. I only gave it 4 stars, though, because the sizing runs large. Since the various reviews had alerted me to this fact, I ordered a size smaller than I normally would, and thus they fit perfectly. But had the reviews not warned me, I would have gotten my regular size and they would have been too big.

I love the leather soles and how soft and squishythey were when i first bought them. i've had them for a little over a year. They are still whole with no holes or tears. Very durable. But arent as supportive and quishy as they were but i use them as house bangers and they do a great job of keeping my socks clean! Good buy !

These slippers are adorable from the side view but not so much from the top. I feel like I have duck feet a bit. Fits well though and they are already warming up my feet!

Love these! But the tag placement on the inside drove me crazy, had to tear it out - and in one shoe there is some kind of error in the seam that rubs against my foot. It's kind of annoying sometimes but inner it's not an issue with all the slippers

These Muk Luks are adorable! The color is as shown and they are so soft and lightweight. I've only had them for a week and a half, but I can tell they will definitely hold up for some time.

The only issue I see is the fit. I am a solid 5.5 US shoe size, so I ordered a small. These are verging on too small even when I am barefoot (no socks). For me, it's not much of an issue because I only wear them inside on our hardwood floors and I usually take them off when I'm on carpet, so I don't wear them all day long. Also, they are so soft, flexible, and comfy that it doesn't matter all that much, but had I known they ran small, I would have ordered a larger size.

I usually wear a shoe size 7 1/2. I ordered the medium 7/8 slipper. With thin socks on my toe and heel touch the slipper slightly. Luckily, the fabric is so soft that it doesn't hurt or bother me that much- so I kept the size rather than deal with the return. I'm not sure how a large would have fit, but if I bought them for myself again if get a size up. The slippers do run small so I'd recommend buying a size larger than your usual. That way you have room to move and wear socks if you'd like.

Felt nice but had to return. They were too large and slippers tend to get more roomy over time. I was surprised since my last slippers were acorns and they fit great. different style though.

I hav several Acorn slippers, most of them terry slides, and some of them are more comfortable than others. These are nice but since there are no half sizes and I saw in the review that they run large, I took a 6 and it fits but feels a bit small (I normally wear a 6.5 shoe. Also, the soles are soft and very flexible, which does not make my feet feel secure. The slides, most of which are comfortable, have a top which can be adjusted to the wearer's feet. What I like about the Mac slipper is the soft, cosy interior, which will feel nice in the winter.

Not happy, these are nothing like what I bought previously. no cushion to speak of. Not the same. I kept them because I am tired of returning products that don't live up to the details given.

These slippers are warm and are comfortable to wear but not to walk in. I added a pair of hard orthotics which made walking a bit more comfortable but the balls of my feet still hurt while I walk around the house. Also, my feet aren't held in a stable position which means that my ankles often fall over until I am walking on the sides of my feet. Others who don't have foot problems may not encounter any of these issues.

They look great, felt good at first, but no support and seem to get larger each time I wear them. Not really what I expected but appear to be made of good materials.

I normally LOVE Acorn slippers. But this feels to me like a SUMMER slipper: too light & does not hold heat well. The memory foam is not high density so mine feel worn after a couple of months.

Kind of an in between shoe and slippers. Comfortable enough but not great. They are warm but prepare to wear thicker socks. Kinda disappointed, wife wears a 6 1/2, these are way to big. And the quality isn't that great.

I love these slippers but little things are coming loose already, like the decorative stitching around the bottom, some of the sweater knit, etc. I expected better from this brand, or from any brand.

Comfy, cozy house slippers. Putting my feet into it for the first time felt like heaven. The only thing that knocks it down two stars was that the inner lining ripped off within 2 weeks of having it.

I'm in love with these boots. They are cute and warm. But after about a week of having them the front has started to come undone. The (single) stitching is coming loose and there is a hole about an inch wide already. I considered doing a replacement but I'm concerned with the quality control of this brand after having looked around at similar reviews of them forming holes after a few days even. Hopefully I get a full refund. Otherwise I'll be back to change my rating to less

read the reviews about sizing. Some said ran large and some said ran small, I wear a 9 and ordered that size, Too small for me. Also, the seems on the insides of the slipper irritated my foot. Will find someone who can wear them since it would be costly to return. The slippers are soft but have no support. It is difficult to order things on line and have them not fit. Things rarely run true to size and often have mixed reviews about sizing

ordered one, crushed my toes. Next size up could park a car in. My feet are normally a perfect 8, more comfortable in wide than fashion skinny-longs. The hard rubber slant of the toe area was the culprit on the 7.5 - 8, and the whole thing fell off my foot at 8-9. Returns are fairly easy and that's great, but i'm disappointed with the sizing. They are well made and scrumptious-looking otherwise. Great concept. Good luck!

If I had time, I'd return these. They're crazy wide, which makes any comfort they offer negligible. That said, they are soft and warm. But I don't know how you'd get them to fit – my feet aren't narrow and I have to wear socks with them to keep the slippers from sliding off. Smaller ones would be too short. Better to get a different brand.

These slippers are soft and have a well cushioned foot bed which is what I needed. hey are also machine washable but drip dry them. They are quite wide however and your feet always veer off to the outsides of the slippers, off the sole and onto the side of the slipper. I do not like them for this very reason. They look extremely awkward and look like your are walking on the sides of your feet. Poorly designed. Would not recommend them.

After reading reviews saying these slippers run large, I ordered a half-size smaller than I normally wear. Still too large, by at least one size. I am also a bit of a princess and the pea, and I found the logo stitched on the inside sole to be irritating. The inside soles are slippery and this, combined with the thickness of the soles (they are cushy) and the overly large size, make me feel unstable on my feet. All-in-all, I find these slippers very disappointing.

I love it when people post reviews of items after they've actually used them for a while. I have owned the pink seude/white fleece version of these for about one year. I bought them last winter from Amazon. They are very warm and cozy and the soles are sturdy and have held up well. My biggest complaint about these is the dyed seude. Mine is pink and if it gets wet it bleeds pink dye like crazy. I've never seen something bleed so much dye before. I once stained my carpet by wearing these slippers when the seude had gotten a little wet. I went to wash out the excess dye and it insane. I rinsed and rinsed and rinsed and could never get the water to run clear. It just kept bleeding dye. I finally soaked the slippers for an entire day and the slippers still bleed dye! So they look nice but DO NOT get them wet. My other complaint is that both slippers now have holes in them where the seude has come unstitched from the sole. I was hoping they would last a little longer, since I had read reviews of people owning these for years.

The Muk Luks I received at not what is pictured. Mine have bows without pompoms. Have a cable knit on the front with dark brown trim. I like the ones pictured better but.......I guess I'll just wear them, it doesn't show I have bought these. The ones pictured are much prettier.

No structure, no hard sole, and flimsy. I only used this as house slippers and it still left a lot to be desired.

After just a couple wearings, the top flops down. They're sloppy. Wouldn't recommend.

When I got these, I thought they were the most comfortable slippers I'd ever worn. I still think so, but they didn't hold up. It's just the beginning of January, and they need to be replaced. The sole is separating. I'm sooooo disappointed.

They feel half a size smaller than I expected. They also feel much cheaper than I expected. The outer knitting just is a sparse covering for a foam shell. Not worth the price. These will probably fall apart within a few months. Definitely won't buy this brand again.

no support and too short. supposed to fit women's shoe size 11. Not so. Gave them away to a size 10 shoe.

Updating my review after less a month of having these, they are going back. Sliding all over the place in these, and the right one slides off to the right. I am sending them back as I know this will only get worse not better and I am already practically walking on the side of the right slipper. Very disappointed that these would go so bad so quick. I have had Acorn before and also LL Bean and never had a problem like this!Nice and comfortable, the main issue is the sizing, I wear about a 10.5, the sizes run 9.5 to 10.5 or 11-12, so I had to go with 11-12. They are big for sure, but there is no way the previous size would have fit. I bought this color cause it was the cheapest one of the various colors offered. I am concerned they may dirty up over time but for now they looks great and feel really nice.

I've had these slippers before and liked them, but this last set was terrible. My feet kept sliding to the outside, and the outside seam collapsed within a week. Several weeks after receiving them, one whole side was collapsed and it was impossible to walk. I went back to my old 18-month-old slippers, which were in better shape than these acorns. Contacted Acorn, but all they would do is let me pay to ship them both ways so they could determine if there was a manufacturing defect. Too bad, wanted to like these. Oh- and, like the other reviewers note, they are enormous. Order a size or two down.

These slippers were very expensive (in my opinion) and already after two months, the suede is cracked and some stitching is wearing very quickly on the outside of my toe. I only wear them indoors. Ok, so I snuck out to my car once or twice. I do wear them most days, but I generally only need one new pair of slippers a year. Looks like I will be getting the duct tape out for these poorly made slippers.On the other hand, they fit well and they are warm and fairly grippy, although not my most grippy slippers ever.

I was very excited to get these slippers and then to much disappointment they are to short. I am glad that I did not go down a size as it was suggested as for me they are to short. They also have no support in the bottom and your feet want to go all over the place. I have waited to long now to send back as I forgot about them with the holidays then after that my daughter was expecting a baby and my life was just crazy So now I will be trying to sell on our local Facebook yard sale pages and hope I don't lose too much money. :(

hated the fit of these slippers. I was hoping they fit like the old Land's End slipper that looked like this, but no, they didn't. They run large, and the comfort factor let me down. Very disappointed in these.

The product was not at all as pictured.

I didn't receive what was pictured. What I received was unappealing. I wanted this one which is cream and beige in a 7-8. Instead I received these cream uppers that look like a sweater (the picture shows more of a waffle texture). The backs are some sort of native american star or snowflake design in dark blues and bright reds. The one in the picture suggest a much more subtle design on the back. This design is over powering and in the huge 9-10 size it's overwhelming to look at (for a slipper). Too ugly to wear. These have tassels instead of poms. I don't like the tassels. I want what is depicted here in the right size. Disappointed. Now I have to go through the unappealing return and replace process. More errands for me. Ugh. I'll look for another brand/store. The 1st four pics are of what I received. The last pic is what I ordered.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY IN THESE, THE SOLE IS SOFT AND THE Muk Luks Women's Amira Brown Casual Slippers Boots SSEAM WILL LET YOU DOWN IN MONTH. Despite her cute appearance and comfy appearance they are as cheaply made as many other sleepers :(. I thought I was buying a good product with a hard and durable sole but in the first month the sole lining bursted out. Now I've got a pair of broken sleepers and $30 less. Not sure if my pair was defective as I understand they should last in decent conditions longer than a month for the price.

I would definitely not recommend these slippers. I purchased them for my wife and after a couple days of wearing them they started to tear at the seams both externally and internally!

I contacted the seller/company and they advised me that I would have to send the slippers back to them for review and they would determine if the tears were a result of manufacturing defect or not and only then would they do anything to replace them. If they determined that the tears were not a result of manufacture defect they would just send the slippers back.

I feel that this was very bad customer service seeing as how within days of purchase the slippers were tearing at the seams and given the fact that I relayed this information on to the company/seller.

I do NOT recommend that anyone purchase this product due to the fact that they are poorly made. I also suggest that you do NOT purchase anything from this company based on the poor customer service that I experienced.

I warn you, do not buy these slippers! The padding on the sole is so thick and slippery that your foot slides off the sides. They are horrible - am returning that ASAP. SO disappointing!
