These cups are simple, strong and reliable. The reenforced rims work well and the pull on the lids is a useful touch. Great for travel due to the compact size. Useful for storing jewelry and small objects that sometimes get lost in hotel room.

This a great little cup. It actually exceeded my expectations as being compared to other ones i've found in stores it had the cover the band and was better quality. If I ever need another one this will definitely be the one I'd go with.

This cup has met my unique particular needs. I drive a company vehicle, and the vehicle only has a cup/bottle holder in it, meaning I either bring a purchased bottle of water with me, or a small refillable water bottle... but the company does not provide a storage area for me to leave a bottle after work. However they provide a small letter holder (2" X 12" X 12"). With this cup, when I am in the office (once every hour or two) I can fill it , drink it, collapse it, and put it back into my mail slot until the next time I want water. It probably would not securely fit in the cup holder, but I have not tried it that way. With the lid, it keeps the interior of the cup clean.

Easy to pack for camping. Holds about 8oz worth of fluid/food. Collapsed it down a bit to fit an oatmeal pack inside, it was perfect.

The travel cup was an amazingly great item. I don't know how I got along without it for so long. I just finished a two week trip to Africa and it was phenomenal! The cup is light, compact but yet holds a lot. It easily goes in my pack and is instantly availed when needed. The lid is fantastic as well. I would recommend this cup to all travelers, no matter how you travel. I have told all my friends about how great it is.I am looking forward to years of use from your travel cup. It will definitely be with me on all of my future travels.

I had one of those older versions in heavy metal but wanted something lightweight to toss in my purse for taking meds while traveling. This fits the bill perfectly!

Bought it for travel and it works as described, water doesn't leak and it seems well made. Would recommend it to anyone.

These compressed and expanded effectively, held hot liquids without being uncomfortable or unstable, and in general were excellent. The lids were a bit tricky to get on at times. Also, there was cocoa powder residue and oatmeal in the crevices that was a little difficult to wash out, but not so much so that I would hesitate to use these. I'd buy them again.

ok, so they always want a review before you've had a chance to really test this thing out...but on first use, it seems to be a pretty good item. It's a larger size than some of the collapsible cups which is good...and seems pretty sturdy. I will get a chance to really test it on my next trip.

I have used this quite a bit so far and it has performed well so far. I think it could wear out where the material that folds all the time bends but time will tell. So far, so good. I also would have preferred that the lip of the cup be thinner but it works okay. Just takes some getting used to. I will continue to use this when I travel.

Bought this to put in my ski backpack since some ski lodges are charging for water cups. Collapses down to very small size. Holds shape when drinking and is very stable on the table. My husband would have given five stars but I think I detect a slight flavor

I got this after a situation where I needed to take some pills, and my only source of water for several hours was a water fountain (or the faucet in a restroom sink). That didn't work, and there have been other situations where I wished I had a cup. This one seems sturdy, and folds flat enough to fit in any bag I'm likely to carry, or in a coat or jacket pocket.The picture for the red cup shows a yellow lanyard on the lid, but I got pink. Wouldn't have been my choice, but fairly minor. There are cheaper folding cups available, but I spent a little extra hoping that it will last longer. Looking good so far. By my measurement, 8 fl. oz will fill this up to a little above the last "fold" near the top, so that's adequate capacity too.The square base means that it doesn't tip over easily, and the lid seals well.if you need to carry it when full. But you do have to be careful putting the lid on and taking it off when the cup is full, or it may collapse when you don't want it to. Common sense? Sure, but there is still a little bit of a knack to it.

Great cup...small enough to fit in my pocket and available to go to Starbucks... they even give me $.10 off for bringing my own container. I feel better not contributing trash to our environment.

cup a little too big but doable.

This is really handy to have in your purse if you have a small dog, like I do. Easy to carry and have available for me or my dog.

I do like this cup but it is a bit bigger than the one I have been using in the past. Still like it and glad I bought it.

I got the green one and the lanyard on the ones I received was pink. The picture showed green.

Cup was OK but I returned it because it was too small.

The product info page and included instructions claim to be microwave safe, but I'm very skeptical of that since the ring at the top seems metal. Makes me wonder if the claim about it being BPA free and FDA-certified silicone is true.

It is ok

This is a very neat product, compact and light. My only but huge complaint is the smell. I followed the cleaning instruction that came with it--clean with dish-washing liquid and rinse with boiling water before first use. But the silicone smell is still VERY strong. This, as I now found out, is common with silicon product; I bought a collapsible bottle and it had a similar odor problem. It may not bother every one but don't buy it if you are sensitive the smell like me.

I bought it for my husband because he travels a lot and needed a cup for his morning coffee at hotels. It was perfect for saving space and he liked that it comes with a firm-base to stand... but it didn't worked fine with the hot coffee, I guess is better for cold beverages ;)

The first time I handled it, the bottom of the inmost ring of the cup disconnected from the base, having apparently been held there only by friction. I've Gorilla-glued it on, and it may now be more satisfactory. It also tends to leak, even when fully extended, and it's hard to keep pills dry in their container. I'm not discarding the device, but initial acquaintance has been less than thrilling.

A little disappointing. I wanted something to replace an L. L. Bean collapsible cup I'd been using for maybe 40 years before it broke. This one is wider than it needs to be (no more capacity) and comes apart too easily. Still, it's inexpensive, lightweight, and reasonably small.

Not very sturdy, but adequate.

Both cups that were ordered were defective. One was not attached to the rim in a spot around 1 in wide and the other had a crimp in the rim that could cut a persons lip.

I received my first avaleisure cup and poured water into it to measure how much it would hold. It came up just over ONE CUP up to the rim. I thought that I had ordered the large by mistake, so I ordered the cup again in the extra large size, got it and filled it with water only to discover that the extra large cup is simply not 10 oz as stated. It is just barely over one cup, 8 oz. This is a big deal for me since I will be using it for coffee and want to have one large cup to drink from. I don't appreciate the misinformation and am going to return both extra large 8 oz cups. : (PS the other features of the cup are well designed and it works very well as a travel cup.

Have washed mine several times and can't get the white residue off of it. Frankly, I'm afraid to use it.

The Avalon Express cup gets five star for holding liquids but goes downhill from there.As other reviews have stated: the base is narrow and makes the cup tippy. Minus one star. Score=4.The wall of the cup is surprisingly rigid and keeps it's shape well. Add one star. Score=5. The metal rim makes drinking hot liquids uncomfortable and prevents microwaving. Subtract two stars. Score=3.The supplied lid can keep the cup clean when not in use. Rinsing the cup before use does the same. The lid does have a lanyard however, making it possible to hang the cup off your pack. This is most likely why the lid is metal: to allow the lid to snap into place and stay there. Add another star. Score=4.Exactly 12 ounces of liquid fills the cup just OVER the top of the brim making it impossible to pick up without spilling. If using plain water, surface tension will keep the liquid from overflowing. Neat science experiment for kids. Not for holding your scientifically measured latte. Deduct another star. Score=3.I ordered one red and one blue cup. I received two blue cups. Minus another star. Score=2.I picked up two silicone collapsible cups from the Walmart camping section last night. They have none of the above flaws, all of the positive features (except the lid, but when travelling I rinse before use anyway), and are $3 each (1/3 the price for Avalon Express). If I've done my math correctly, the Walmart cup is the better buy.

Cups collapse when water added disappointing

It did the job - barely. It was hard to keep the cup from collapsing when I poured water in it.

Item fell apart too easily. Difficult to connect cup to bottom when they become separated.

The top was difficulty to take off and put back on! The cups pulled off the base the first time I opened it! I thought it would be bigger then it is!

I guess it needs to be flimsy in order to collapse, but I will never turn my back on this product.

THERE ARE NO WORDS STRONG ENOUGH TO DESCRIBE WHAT A HORRIBLE, DEFECTIVE PRODUCT THIS IS. DON'T EVER GET IT. THE COLLAPSIBLE CUP COLLAPSED AS SOON AS I FILLED IT. THE DRINK SPILLED OUT OF THE CUP ALL OVER ME, MY NEW MERCEDES BENZ, MY PURSE - JUST EVERYWHERE. THIS IS A PIECE OF TRASH, AND THEN THEY WANTED ME TO SEND IT BACK TO THEM IN ORDER TO GET A REFUND. I TOLD THEM THAT I THREW THE PIECE OF TRASH OUT OF THE WINDOW IN THE PARKING LOT!!!! FURTHERMORE, THE POSTAGE TO SEND IT BACK WOULD COST ME MORE THAN THE PIECE OF TRASH.

Don't waste your money! cheap plastic, lasted only a week.

Every one I have tried comes apart when you extend them to use. Don't waste you money as they are very cheap and not worth it.

This collapsible cup has concentric rings that pull up to form a cup. It also has a lid with a small compartment for pills. I bought this to use as a rinse cup for mouthwash. As I was rinsing it out the other night, the bottom came detached and the whole thing fell apart. I have only been using this for a week. This has very poor workmanship and I would not recommend it to anyone.

Ordered two and both broke when opened. Will not hold water. Total waste of money and time as they were needed upon arrival.

This cup kept collapsing with water in it while eating out... Good thing it was cheap because it quickly went into the trash, unfortunately...
