Five Star Reviews: | 68% It is fun for them and it helps with conserving paper August 16, 2015 I bought these for teaching my Sunday School class. The items are high quality and durable. I shopped around a bit and I found this to be the most economical solution. These do not have magnetic properties and cannot be hung. The kids use them in their laps or at the table. It is fun for them and it helps with conserving paper. They wipe clean, but sometimes for stubborn colors like orange, I use a wet nap to get the marker off and it is as good as new! I am glad I got this and I know they can be used years to come. Fantastic for the price. April 13, 2014 I use these with wet-erase whiteboard markers to take notes at home and work (I'm a programmer) in an attempt to save paper. They work out great. Taking notes with fine-tipped, different-colored markers make them more readable than pencil or pen on paper, I can take photos on my phone to save them, and re-use them. I take notes in meetings and while working at my desk.I have had a little trouble with getting them fully clean with plain water, but it seems to be more related to just the blue marker from my Staedtler wet-erase set. Also, I've only wet them and wiped -- I haven't bothered to "scrub" or use any kind of cleaning spray. They're perfectly fine, but I can see a very faint remnant of my blue text. Nothing I can't ignore. In any case, for the price these are more than worth it. They're perfect for what I needed February 22, 2014 These aren't the greatest white board you'll ever find...one of them was slightly dented and they're pretty easily marred; that being said I wasn't looking for the "best". I needed small white boards that I could use for individual students on individual subjects; I homeschool two students that are not in the same grade and for my use, they were perfect! They were very well-priced - in fact, they were cheap! They small enough to be easily handled, even with arthritis. There were enough of them; in fact, I'm considering buying another package of 10 because I'm using them even more than I anticipated.Having so many of them and the right size allow me to preset my teaching materials before classes start and honestly, they allow me to have one-on-one teaching time with each of the kids at their individual class levels.I've had no trouble erasing them; I do clean them often. Normally they are cleaned at the end of each day but I have left them uncleaned for 2 days and still not had any problem with them. The normal white board cleaner works great on them. These are a great buy! Great for small classes December 8, 2013 I teach English as a second language to college students in an intensive, English Immersion program. I ordered these for one of my basic skills reading and writing classes, for students who had almost no English ability. Being able to write simple questions and hold them up for the class, use these for pictionary-style games, and give students a way to practice sentence-writing that feels less "permanent" than paper and pen has been really helpful to my class this term. I recommend these to any classroom with English learners or others who need both practice in writing and confidence building,(also, they erase pretty easily and hold up to being dropped occaisonally :) Ten little white boards... March 22, 2012 These white boards are JUST what I needed for homeschooling my preschool/kindergarten aged children! They are small enough for the kids to handle individually, but big enough for me to write/draw on from my own chair, and have all the kids see and be able to follow along. We use them to practice handwriting, spelling, math problems, and even just drawing! The surface of the board is high gloss, and cleans very easily (even with just a finger!). They are classy looking enough alone (yes, the individual wrapping is a big plus...) but if someone wanted to personalize the boarders of the white boards with stickers or vinyl, I know that it would stick great to that surface, and the kids would have no trouble identifying their own school supplies from the stack of all the others.I combined this purchase with a box of Expo low odor chisel tip markers, and it seems like both of these products are going to last our family for a very long time! Great for Students March 15, 2012 came in fast, all products as is, they do what they are made for and that is to be written on. I use this a lot as an engineer major who works heavily with math and physics so I do a lot of calculations on paper and I use up a ton of paper so i decided to buy these little angels. got 10 of them, i leave one at home at my desk where I do schoolwork, I bring one with me to school, I gave two to my girlfriend and to each of my siblings to use as well as they are all college students. We all use them daily. Great deal and tools for students. I highly recommend if my situation sounds similar to yours. The only con i can think of is don't leave the writing on for too long because they will become hard to erase but that's an easy fix with some white board cleaner. Oh and don't accidently use sharpies on them or any kind of permanent marker. also hard to erase. | 57% There are no reviews yet |
Four Star Reviews: | 18% Use to assist the "hard of hearing" September 12, 2015 I bought the 10 pack and I am not a school teacher. I have 3 to 4 of them in different rooms of the house with a velcro dot attached dry marker. I and others use them to communicate with my very hard of hearing mom. Words with many consonants are very difficult for her to distinguish. Sometimes repeating a word over and over with even exaggerated enunciation is beyond her nerve damaged hearing so the more difficult words get quickly jotted down on this marker board. Maybe it would be better with hardware to attach a dry marker but the price is so good I do not mind making that work myself. The fact that the board does not have a border or trim makes it easy for fast and clean wipes. Good for the Classroom July 10, 2013 I bought this set for my classroom during small group sessions, tutoring sessions and review games. they're ok and they serve their purpose but they are easily scratched/dinged up. within one use the corners were already chipping and by the 3rd month or so (using about 1-2x/mo) I had several with small scratches on the writing surface and one with a huge scratch on the writing surface. idk if I would buy these again or if I would look for something more durable first, but overall, im not unhappy with the purchase sturdy July 9, 2013 These are great for classroom use. I do wish they were even lower priced as I pay for them out of my pocket, and they do chip at the edges and need to be replaced after a few years. Best Idea ever May 1, 2013 I love these, got them to install in our church nursery to put the babies names on them over their beds each Sunday. They work really well for writing on and erasing. I only wish they already had a way to install them. I had to use velcro. Can't beat these for the price July 23, 2012 I bought these to work practice chemistry and math problems so I don't have to use a million sheets of paper that are just going to be thrown out when I'm done. They work great! Also, since they're on my desk all the time, I've started using them instead of searching frantically for a piece of scratch paper all the time. I jot down appointments 'til I get a chance to enter them into my calendar, write quick to do lists, etc.The reviews that mention the boards get stained and difficult to erase after a while are true, but it seems to be the same as any white board when it gets dirty. I assume it will come off with white board cleaner, but I haven't bought any yet since they haven't gotten gross enough to bother me.Why not 5 stars?First of all, the boards are not perfectly flat. Each has a slight curve so they don't sit flat on the table and would be difficult to hang or use in a craft project where you wanted to add a white board. I tried flattening one out by pushing it in the opposite way of the curve, and the white board material began to crack, so I just live with the curve.Secondly, with regular use and minimal attention to their handling, the shiny white surface of the boards has started to chip a little bit around the edges. This doesn't really diminish their utility, but it might become a problem in the long term if it continues to progress. So I suggest handling with care if you want the boards to last a long time. Personally, I have several I haven't even opened yet, so I'll just switch them out if the ones I'm using now get too beat up. | 27% There are no reviews yet |
Three Star Reviews: | 6% The melamine surface on these is great, and they can be erased time and again ... April 4, 2015 The melamine surface on these is great, and they can be erased time and again without stains. However, they're warped - so you'll need to use one hand to hold it and one hand to write when on a flat surface, otherwise it spins. Okay November 12, 2014 I am a teacher and I bought 3 packs of 10 for my class this year. They are acceptable and serve their purpose but they were an expensive purchase and a few of them have chipped around the edges already. Great Board, but warped January 9, 2014 I've been using these boards since the beginning of the school year. They clean easily, they don't stain, and they are a perfect size. The problem is that they are warped so they spin around at the easiest touch. As you can imagine all my kids want to do is spin them! I have had to make a rule about spinning....and who needs more rules!?! Does the Job but Edges Chipped Easily October 11, 2013 I did not expect high quality for the price I paid but was disappointed to see how easily the edges of the boards chip. Within 2 weeks, 2 out of the 10 that I ordered had small chips on them. However, they erase well and are a great improvement over my stained and cracked boards that these replaced. Adequate lap boards September 2, 2013 I ordered these because they are cost-effective for my small group instruction. The boards themselves are very lightweight. They do not erase quite as well as some of the more expensive brands, so I plan to replace these later on with a more sturdy version with a slicker surface. I also want to upgrade to magnetic boards. That being said, they are fine for light use and clean up fine with a little bit of rubbing alcohol when ghosting occurs. not the easiest to erase March 28, 2013 these work fine but i have used others that are easier to erase, i wish they were double sided with graph paper on the other side. | 6% There are no reviews yet |
Two Star Reviews: | 1% Not too impressed March 7, 2011 I purchased these boards for my classroom so that I would save money on paper and pencils. However, we are towards the end of the school year and even though my students and I have been taking care of them, I do not feel that they will be good for next year. They have gotten scratched very easily. | 5% There are no reviews yet |
One Star Reviews: | 7% Inaccurate description August 2, 2017 The description says ten boards are included and I only received one board. Not Happy with purchase! June 19, 2017 I purchased this item because the description states it came with 10 boards. I received one!! I will be returning the item and purchasing elsewhere. I added a screenshot of the description to show where it states it is a 10 pack! I would have given 0 stars but it wasn't an option. The quality is not any better than the cheaper boards June 8, 2017 When I ordered the Dry Erase Board, I thought that it came in a pack wit multiple boards. The price I paid of over $16 for one board is ridiculous! I could have paid $39.99 for 30 boards. The quality is not any better than the cheaper boards. I was going to return the board, but I need to pay over $6 for shipping. It's not worth it! I will make sure I read the description more closely next time! Only received one, where are the other 9?! July 6, 2015 This item is supposed to be a 10 pack and I only received 1. Where are the other 9? THIS PRODUCT IS NOT AS ADVERTISED. It says it ... June 11, 2015 THIS PRODUCT IS NOT AS ADVERTISED. It says it was a 10 pack set and I received only two boards. Unacceptable. Not what is advertised! April 2, 2013 Purchased these for my students. Product advertised that there were 10 in the package. When the package arrived, there was only one in the box for all that money! Only one sided, and raw edged. Amazon got involved and took the product off their sight. They not only refunded my money, but found another product that was superior to these. Amazon is great to work with! | 5% There are no reviews yet |
