Great Alternative! Very pleased
October 14, 2015
First off thanks to all the other reviewers for their feedback in helping me decide to try these, I really found a great product! They were easy to apply, there were issues with air bubbles but I expected that given the other reviews but also because I placed mine on a concrete wall. A poorly constructed one at that as well. I simply kept pressing the air bubbles with my finger till they were gone, or raising off the wall pop and reapplying. I have air bubbles still but I believe it's because of the wall more than a fault of the product.I used two wall pops, overlapped them to get what you see. The wall itself is very uneven, and even has a line running through it. However the product stands up well, no issue installing it, and none whatsoever writing on it, even the rough surface at times. The remaining air bubbles are no real issue but still worth mentioning.Overall a very good product, great alternative to the white boards being sold as they have more flexibility to be installed almost anywhere and the price is not bad at all.If I had one complaint, would be the cheap feeling marker holder, but really not a huge issue. I do agree with the other reviewers as well that using a wet type of eraser (wet wipes etc) is more effective. Especially when using colored markers. Again these are really minor and definitely not deal breakers.Great product. Will buy many more!
Better than I expected
September 9, 2015
I was worried when we took it out of the package because it wrinkled when we layed it flat. My worries were quickly put to rest when we put it on the wall it smoothed out, no wrinkles! Application was very easy even on our textured walls. It was uneven the first time so I had to peel it off and try again, it left no residue and restuck just fine. We left a few notes written over night, the colors erased completely but the black wouldn't completely erase with a little winded it is back to good as new. Overall great product for the price.
excellent! MOUNTING TIP
January 12, 2015
perfect! I've installed a large whiteboard in my office but wanted additional work space on the walls. these sheets are inexpensive, easy to install and do not hold smudge marks (yet). I am using Expo brand markers and eraser (NOT the supplied marker) and letting the ink dry before I erase. this helps keep the surface clean. Post-It notes adhered especially well to the surface making an excellent Kanban board.MOUNTING TIP: clean the wall surface you will mount to, let dry and measure the height you want your sheet mounted at from the ceiling or floor. mark the wall in two places spaced within the width of the sheet for your top position. slowly remove the backing from the sheet. affix post-it notes to the back of the sheet in the corners, overlapping the perimiter of the sheet. lay the top of the sheet in line with your marks on your wall. grab another post-it note (we use this to apply the sheet smoothly and remove bubbles) and holding it over your fingers run your fingers down the middle of the sheet. run your fingers directly horizontal from the middle towards the right edge. repeat with the left edge. use your fingers (with the post-it between your fingers and the sheet) to smooth the entire surface from the center out to the corners. when the sheet is smooth peel back the corners where the post it's are affixed, remove the post-its and finish the corners. the sheet should be perfectly smooth (well, as smooth as the wall you mounted it on).
Dry erase board- peel and stick
November 17, 2013
Perfect! This product shipped fast and was very easy to use, just peel and stick! I cut it to size and stuck it to an old framed chalkboard. I used a credit card to smooth it out as I went and voila, instant dry erase board! No more chalk mess and screeching sound when I want to write something! I ordered some liquid chalk and regular dry erase markers along with this product and both erase nicely even after I've left a grocery list on it for several days! I had quite a bit of the roll left over so I put a square of this on my desk and another on the front of my daytimer to scribble quick notes on! I would definitely order this product again!
Perfect for a desk blotter.
July 22, 2013
I taped this down to the top of my desk. I scribble all kinds of notes and calculations on the white board. I no longer need so much scrap paper.
Create Your Own size Dry Erase WALL
August 6, 2011
This was so cool. I have used and purchased many dry erase boards. This definitely is the best that I have ever seen or used. When you erase, it really the sticker is clean and does not smear like most boards. Easy install and can be taken off easily without damage to walls. The trick to install is:1) leave the paper backing on the sticker2) Start with estimating where you want it and take it to the wall best with masking tape3) peel one at a time from the corner that connects all the other stickers (Only the corner)4) Stick the corner to the wall then move up or down slowly peeling5) Peel the paper backing while holding the edge of the sticker stuck on the wall6) continue with each one7) readjust as necessary. This will help eliminate any air bubbles. I bought 4 making a 35" X 48" board at a cheap cost.Bad part is that you feel every contour of the wall. I wish the stickers was thicker. If it was thicker, it has a potential of replacing all the dry erase boards and can be more portable.

A little hard to apply, but useful
May 25, 2016
4 stars because it's a little tricky to apply to the wall (it comes rolled so it's hard to hold flat, adhere, and remove the bubbles without help). I bought two. I ended up sticking the other to my desk. It's actually quite handy. Like right now I'm learning Italian so I wrote the character pronunciations in the corner. I also jot down questions and reminders on it as I read.I took the advice of other reviews and have not used the marker it comes with. Instead I bought the Expo Dry Eraser Set:http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000MK2PZ6/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=18X7TD8ATHKM&coliid=I3OM9YCPXEHK7S&psc=1They write nicely, and erase easily.
I installed it quite easily, didn't require anyone to help
March 6, 2016
I was looking for a solution for my apartment where I could have somewhere to place notes and appointments near my front door. I didn't want to invest in a white board just because I'm not expecting to stay very long here, and didn't want another piece of furniture to carry around when I move.I installed it quite easily, didn't require anyone to help, but it would make it easier if there was someone else though.I like the smooth texture of the panel, I've used different colored dry erase markers and so far so good.I like the product and would recommend it for anyone who wants either a temporary or permanent fixture. It comes in a nice transparent box tube, with a complimentary thin tipped dry erase pen with eraser. (convenient but preferred to buy my own)Note, I also bought paper masking tape ProTapes Pro 46 Crepe Paper Masking Tape, 60 yds Length x 1" Width, Orange (Pack of 1) to place on the edges of the panel, so that i don't accidentally end up writing on the wall.
I don't ever write reviews, but this is great!
December 12, 2015
I love it. I don't recommend installing it by yourself as it can stick to its self and be hard to unstick. I moved it from room to kitchen and it got all stuck. I managed to fix it. I would just recommend moving it with two people to avoid the mess. Even so, Its honestly it's perfect.
I use two horizontally stacked (on top of one another) to give me a wider area to write on.
February 17, 2015
I purchased two to lay them on top of each other in portrait mode with one slightly overlapping the other to prevent any marker ink landing onto the painted wall (I had also created a frame out of blue painters tape to further prevent accidentally writing onto the painted wall. When installing these I used a firm credit card wrapped in tape (to prevent scuffing & scratching onto the surface) and applied pressure from the center moving outward to the edges to remove any air bubbles. After applying this onto my wall I noticed more air bubbles had surfaced overnight. I quickly removed the WallPop and squeegeed out more air.If this doesn't work for you, you can always use a sharp X-Acto knife and poke tiny tiny holes for trapped air to be released.I attached a photo for referenceI had purchased this for my girlfriend who is currently in Med school and aside from all of her paper notes and post-its, she needed a dry erase board to jot down quick notes to reference back easily. I didn't want to buy the ones at local office supply stores because those are either too small or too big to be practical for use at home. Also since these WallPops lay flat on my wall it feels more natural vs writing on a board thats screwed onto your wall. You can easily remove this peel & stick and it holds enough tack to be applied in another room in the same house. If my review was helpful in any way please click the "YES" button below
Some small bubbles never quite smoothed out
January 10, 2015
Generally a decent product. Markers write clearly, but it can be a bit tough to erase. I'd suggest using some sort of liquid cleaner (Expo has one here: http://www.amazon.com/Expo-81803-Non-Toxic-Whiteboard-Cleaner/dp/B00006IBO5). I tried being very careful with installation, and still got a few small bubbles (see pic) that I could never smooth out. Still enjoy having the whiteboard.
Great alternative to drilling holes and mounting whiteboards; could use a little extra width / size
April 16, 2013
I popped these out of the tube and slapped them up within ten minutes. They're great for anyone who wants a whiteboard but doesn't want to actually throw down the excess cash / structure to put one up. It went fine over a lightly textured wall; I bought one for a nephew's dorm room as well so he could easily have the whiteboard without drilling into the wood itself. However they're not "secure" in the sense that I peeled one off and restuck it easily, but as an alternative to a comparably sized whiteboard that bounced off the wall anytime you tried to write on it, I'm a fan.It takes a little patience to smooth out the airbubbles, but I was able to put three of these up in a row, one laid over the edge of the other. I haven't had any problems with the overlaid edges peeling back when I write on it......but you have to watch the edges. I'll have to repaint the wall eventually to get rid of all those godawful pink and orange "dry erase marker" bits at the edge.

Corners peeling
February 24, 2017
Good size, hanged up immediately when arrived, first week all corners were found peeling slightly. Second and third week corners are now unable to stay up alone and had to apply tape( painters tape) to stay up. Works good as a dry erase board just wish it would be better at staying up
dry erase pen marks don't come off
October 24, 2016
I've had whiteboards and worked in offices with whiteboard walls, and was hoping this was going to be something my kids and I could use for quick drawing fun or writing lists down. The product peels and sticks well, but it doesn't erase. You need a damp cloth to erase newly written/drawn things, but if it sits for more than a few minutes, you'll need to use dry erase liquid spray to scrub the dry erase pen marks off. It's a pain and I'll be looking for a better quality product.
It does the job
October 23, 2016
I have put this up on the inside of my pantry cabinet door to write down shopping list items. It works fine but erases only okay; there is a ghost of what I wrote left behind in most cases. I think that if you took a black write-on/wipe-off marker and essentially cured the plastic by covering it with marker and immediately wiping it off, as you would with a chalkboard and chalk, this problem would not occur. I find it just as useful and convenient as I expected, but given that it does have these problems I gave it only three stars where I would have given it four, because I was not able to stick it to the flat surface of my cupboard without bubbles, and peeling it up to re-stick ended up worsening the problem. Nonetheless, it serves my purposes admirably.
Likely works great on smooth surfaces but it won't stay on my textured walls
December 17, 2015
Was far more excited before I actually used it. I spent awhile setting up my calendar for this month only to have it start peeling off within the first hour. I thought the textured walls could be a problem, but I went back and reset it, pressing it and then taping the edges up, but even that didn't hold. Obviously I had to rewrite the whole calendar after the first fall b/c in order to re-set it you have to press every inch of it, thus wiping it clean. But I did it and then came in this morning to find it barely hanging on. I'm thinking over the holiday I will pull it completely off and try another tactic with velcro, but if that doesn't work ill either take them home n put em up in a room w/o textured walls or just scrap them. It's sad b/c after an awesome brainstorming session yesterday on some other Wall-pops that I got I was eager to come into the office this morning and get back at it, only to find that those had fallen even worse than my calendar. But like my dad always told me, you get what you pay for.
Saved me from drilling holes, but the actual whiteboard isn't as good
April 9, 2015
I wanted a whiteboard in my living room for friends to doodle on, and didn't want to drill holes and spend a hundred dollars on a real one. Enter the peel and stick whiteboard. I had it up on the wall in less than 15 minutes with the help of a laser level and a magazine to push the air bubbles out (I wish it came with something to do this, but anything with a hard and straight edge will work). I put this on a non-textured, painted wall.Even after removing the air bubbles, more formed over the next few days. I removed them for a while, but eventually stopped caring. The white board also became harder to erase over time, and a cloud of smudge marks from the eraser grew around it.When I moved out, it peeled off of the wall fairly easily and didn't take any of the paint with it. However, I threw it out and will not be using it again - while it was fun in theory, in practice it was hard to erase and didn't have the experience I expected. I can't take away stars for not being fun, but I can only give it three stars because by the end of the year it was barely usable because of all the marker stains.
Good for certain types of surfaces
October 3, 2013
This is a handy product that will save you $$ vs. a normal whiteboard but has its limitations. Lots of people have complained about erasing but it's no problem using expo markers along with expo whiteboard care cleaner if needed.First I removed the backing and applied the product to a large mirrored closet door. Bad idea. On glass, air bubbles simply won't come out. This appears to be because the product (a) is airtight and (b) adheres so well to glass that air pockets trapped between the surfaces simply can't be massaged out to the sides. This didn't change over time. Lifting the edges to free trapped air simply leads to different air pockets forming when the material is reapplied.Next I peeled it off the glass and stuck it to painted drywall having a mild texture. Voila. Adhered perfectly, nicely re-positionable, and the few air bubbles that did form disappeared instantly when gently coaxed to the edges with nothing more than the side of my hand. Note that in this application the texture of the drywall telegraphs through the thin material, which I don't find to be a problem, and the color of the wall (if not white) seems to show through the material very slightly.I also use a 36" x 48" sheet of melamine coated hardboard (available at Lowe's for around $12) as a whiteboard, which works perfectly and is a more permanent solution without paying $$$ for a traditional framed whiteboard (to me, the frame doesn't add any value). But that requires mounting, whereas these sheets of self-adhesive, re-positionable material are super-convenient and work great on my wall - - and perhaps yours too!

Great concept, poor execution
October 15, 2016
Great concept but poor execution. Was easy to install but wrinkled on the wall after installation. The wall was painted drywall with a normal, somewhat rough finish. This resulted in a bumpy surface to write on giving us choppy letters, etc. that is exacerbated by the fact that the film wrinkled after installation. Almost like it shrank after being adhered to the wall. The second issue is ghosting. Anything less than porcelain on metal will give you ghosting but this is whole new level of dry erase ghosting. The ONLY way to erase this is to use rubbing alcohol but even then it is impossible to clean this. After 4 weeks it just looks dirty. After using this for a month we are removing and replacing with a true dry erase board. Not worth your time or money unfortunately.
Can't use with store bought dry markers
October 1, 2016
This wall pop came with Chinese instructions which I didn't know how to read but I figured it out. The surface is matted and not glossy like I thought it would be. It only takes the dry marker that it came with. If I use regular store bought dry makers, the wall pops treats it like permanent marker (won't erase). Luckily I tries on a small corner first. At least it did what I intended it to do... wall paper the office see - through glass I share with my neighbor.
What Happened??
August 22, 2016
In my classroom, I've got a small IKEA coffee table that's used for playing math games. It's topped by one of these stickers because the kids can do their calculations right on the table, which they love. The decal I bought in 2015 was perfect. Easy to put down with a squeegee, no bubbles, erased black marker, no problem.Wanted to start fresh this year and bought another. It's garbage. It has the look and feel of knock-off Contact paper. Big bubbles even with a squeegee, 1/4 of it won't stay stuck no matter what I do, another 1/8 of it is discolored. Sadly, I'm going to have to replace it, I just don't know what to use. Can't return it because I cut it to fit the table top. What really stinks is that I won't be able to get another until after Open House, so this crummy-looking one is what I get to present to my new parents. :(I'm only giving it two stars because the first one was awesome. Maybe the second is a fluke; maybe they've changed something. The one I've got on the table now doesn't even deserve one star.
My first word could not be fully wiped off
July 28, 2016
1. Could not fully wipe thing off2. The package is rough, feels like its cut off from another big piece of paper3. Really hard to mount, need help from second peopleGood thing is, it does not damage my wall
this was like a sticker
June 28, 2016
I bought this to lay over an existing white board. I had read some of the reviews, and was skeptical, but at that price it was worth a shot. Some of the reviews said this was more static cling than sticky. That was not the case, this was like a sticker. Yes, you could remove it and re position it, like a reusable sticker. But as such it was extremely difficult to work with. Bubbles wouldn't smooth out, even with a straight edge, and I got so many wrinkles that would not come out. As a result I ended up trashing the whole thing.
Almost a good idea
January 11, 2016
It kinda works okay. I've not tried to remove it or anything, but I'm pretty sure that when I do take it down, I'm just going to toss it in the trash. It clings well, and you can definitely write on it, but its terribly thin which I should have realized and its very hard to clean off.

the quality looks like they were made in China
May 15, 2017
No they did not meet my expectation. the material is way to thin which makes it very hard to unroll and apply with out wrinkles on the wall. The material also absorbs the ink from the marker to much and becomes stained with a residue build up from the ink, so the whiteboard starts to take on the color of the marker you use. But very difficult to apply to the wall especially with the 9 ft long rolls. LOL, also the rolls came in all different lengths as if someone did not even measure them to the proper specs that they are advertised. One roll came out a foot short, the quality looks like they were made in China!
Too Good to be True
September 28, 2016
Completely unusable. I was very excited to find such an inexpensive alternative to the writey board brand, but it turns out it was too good to be true. The product is has the dimensions as specified, but you cannot write on the product and expect the writing to be erasable. While I was opening the package I could tell it was not "whiteboard" quality. It felt like a slightly more lubricated paper. Sure enough, I draw a happy face on the white board side of the paper to christen the product, and it is completely unerasable. Very disappointing, as I had really looked forward to using this extensively in my new apartment.
Horrible product
September 19, 2016
I purchased the single peel and stick whiteboard a few months ago. Thinking it was the same great product, I bought two more. Absolute fail.I purchased the two pack and it was horrible. After sticking them to my wall, we couldn't get the whiteboard side exposed or it simply isn't a whiteboard at all. I can't really tell if it was ever designed to work as a whiteboard or just a sheet with an ugly peel-back graphic designed to take wall space without serving any purpose.I contacted customer service and the vendor has not helped in any way at all, except to send me instructions that might help with a product that's not completely defective like mine. The shipping time was shocking. I only realized after I bought the product how ridiculously long the wait would be. I should have immediately canceled my order and put in for two single whiteboards.Horrible mess that I don't anticipate a resolution on. Will update if it gets fixed.Ironically my picture matches the graphic they have on the product page. Don't be fooled - it's a matte sheet with that ugly graphic on it.
Amazon ordering and Shipping was awesome and the packaging for the product was fine
April 30, 2016
Amazon ordering and Shipping was awesome and the packaging for the product was fine. I will probably never find out if the product works properly because whoever rolled it up and put it into it's protective package must have been a disgruntled worker. This is a thin film product to be applied to a wall as a decal. If you hand roll and "scrunch" it then it will be very difficult to apply to the wall without showing the creases and wrinkles. It is a whiteboard for goodness sake and needs to be flat and smooth. I had read reviews saying these decals from many manufacturers are difficult to apply without wrinkles and bubbles. I have experience applying thin film produces so I thought I would give it a try but starting with a damaged product is just unwarranted level of difficulty.
Returning customers beware ! new customers: keep looking!
January 2, 2016
Third time to order this product, and sadly report they have changed this drastically! Will be returning. its impossible to use and so cheap, Wall pops - sad for you to have left your original product for this cheap alternative.you can see the difference in the two products in the attached picture, so disappointed !
Unable to erase
September 17, 2015
Product is completely useless. I used regular Expo brand dry erase markers and was totally unable to erase. I was able to get black ink off almost completely using toothpaste, but red and green would not come off at all - tried toothpaste, alcohol, pine sol, orange goop and lots of elbow grease. The ink is still there! Reading all the reviews of how well this should work, I wonder if I was sent an "off" brand and not the brand listed. I ordered from a 3rd party called TechFeel because of the low price and only afterwards realized they were in China. The backing of the product was marked with some Chinese writing and the name Cropland (not Wall Pops). I had ordered (2) 24" x 36" pieces and what I received was one 2 ft. wide piece that was 6 ft long. It appeared to have been cut off a roll of 2 ft wide material as the cut ends were somewhat jagged.So... it may be that the brand listed here works fine, but what I received from TechFeel was worthless.
