Great Plugable product - and excellent Support personnel
September 21, 2017
I purchased this Plugable Docking station in 2016 because I wanted to transfer everything from my Desktop onto my Laptop, plus, I wanted to use not only my Laptop Monitor, but I also wanted to use both of my SAMSUNG Monitors I had with my Desktop, so, I did a Google search and found this Plugable UD-3900. I watched the on-line video showing how it works and easy setup and so I purchased it. It was everything the company promised it would be/do. I use my Laptop with 3 monitors and also have my Internet, Printer, and a couple of others USB items plugged into it and have never had a problem with the operation of it. HOWEVER, this morning (09/21/2017) after I had checked for any new Windows Updates, and installed them, I noticed my Plugable wasn't working right. I tried everything I could to fix it and then I found that a DisplayLink file that was part of the "Insiders Preview Build of Windows 10" that I had just download, had corrupted it, it was not the Plugable. I went to their website and sent an email to their Support people and within an hour I received a reply and they requested additional information and had me to download and run a small program to localize the possible problem. I then sent the results of the Report their file had created to Support via email and in a short time I received an email from Support (Man named Bob) with a list of procedures for me to do and I did, I followed each step in the manner he requested and within a few minutes my Plugable was back on line. That's the kind of Support I like. They took care of me with no problems and I am grateful and am looking forward to checking out some of their other products and if I can use them I will deferentially buy them.
First One Failed, Tech Support is EXCELLENT
May 23, 2017
The first one of these I purchased failed within the first month. I began to have intermittent ethernet connectivity problems. Plugable asked me to download a bit of software to log the problems, but then the unit simply failed to turn on so I never got to log anything. Needless to say I was a bit frustrated. I wonder if the Amazon gorillas at the warehouse drop-kicked the unit across the floor before shipping it out to me. However, Plugable Tech Support responded with amazing speed. Within one day they had shipped a new unit out to me via Priority Mail, as well as providing me with a pre-paid shipping label to ship the old one back. The new one is up and running with no problems. I own my own business and I use this unit as my docking station for my company laptop, so that I can bring the laptop home and work on things in the evening. The Plugable is connected to a CAT5 ethernet cable. I have a dual-monitor setup running both monitors at 1080p (1920x1080). I have USB connections for keyboard, mouse, a web cam, and a Western Digital MyBook external storage drive. I have experienced no problems with monitor response, including watching You Tube videos. I have no problems with ethernet connection speed (other than the failed first unit) and no problems with mouse or keyboard response, etc. It works very well, and I am going to consider the first unit as a fluke. Stuff happens, and they stepped right up to it. I highly recommend this product.
EXCELLENT Product and Service!!!
April 10, 2017
If I could give Plugable more stars I definitely would. The docking station is awesome. The size is perfect as it does not take up any valuable space on my computer table. I was having trouble getting my new monitor to connect with the docking station. I cannot express how extremely helpful they were in getting me up and running. I was sure if the problem was the docking station or monitor...it was neither and turned out to be "user" error. They patiently worked with me until they got me up and running. I am very pleased with the awesome service I got. Many times you purchase something electronic/computer related and you're on your own to figure it out or even worse connected to who knows where while you are on hold forever. I got a very prompt reply to my email requesting help. The problem was one of the settings needed to be changed on the monitor. It had nothing to do with their product, but they struck with me until it was resolved. I highly recommend this product and company to anyone wishing to purchase a docking station!!!!!!!

February 13, 2017
I purchased this docking station for a new office; I use a Surface Pro 3 for most of my mobile computing but in a new workspace I wanted the luxury of a larger screen as well as the ability to use a full-size keyboard and trackball. At first I planned to install a full-size all-in-one desktop PC, but then realized I could purchase this Plugable dock, a monitor, keyboard and trackball for much less. In short: The Plugable is fantastic. I bring my Surface Pro 3 to the office, plug in the USB cable running to the Plugable, and I'm ready to work in about 10 seconds flat. Honestly, the Plugable probably has a few features that I'm not using - I admit that I've never read the instructions beyond how to install the Plugable's driver. It has made my Surface Pro 3 much more enjoyable to use, to the point that I forget that I'm theoretically using a tablet to do all of my work. Get the Plugable - you won't be disappointed.
Like Magic.
August 31, 2015
Works great! I use this with my Microsoft Surface Pro 3 as a "home base." All the reviews pointed me in this direction rather than the official Microsoft Surface dock, and I'm glad I went this way. Plugged into this docking station I have two external widescreen monitors (one running HDMI to HDMI, the other DVI to DVI, both at 1920x1080 - no discernible difference between the two monitors), wired ethernet, another USB 2.0 4-port hub to connect non-power-sucking peripherals (keyboard, mouse, card reader), audio out, and a USB 3.0 card reader. A single USB 3.0 plug runs to my Surface to lasso all of this together. When I want to leave the house with my tablet, I unplug it and run. When I come back and want to work at my desktablet "workstation," I plug it back in and everything magically works. Can't imagine living a mobile lifestyle without this.
The Plugable UD-3900 and Surface Pro 2 go great together
November 7, 2013
I recently bought a Surface Pro 2 (running Windows 8.1) with the hopes of using it as my daily driver. The Surface's lack of ports is a real problem when used as a desktop machine especially to a guy like me that measures his manliness by the number of monitors he's using. There is the official Surface Deck, which is a sexy piece of machinery, don't get me wrong, but it's $200, not available right now, and itself has frustrating ports. For instance, while you can connect two monitors to the Surface dock, you have to do it by daisy chaining monitors off of the DisplayPort. Who has time for all that? And my existing monitors don't have DisplayPort connections anyway. What's a fella to do?And in walks the Plugable UD-3900.While the UD-3900 wasn't built specifically for the Surface Pro 2, it works beautifully. Even with the incredibly snappy Amazon Prime shipping Plugable sent me an email before I got the unit with a link to the latest drivers and contact information in case I had problems. Being impatient like I am, I installed the drivers right away and anxiously awaited the package. When the UD-3900 showed up it took no time to hook it up and start using it. Everything just worked. Mostly. But I'll get to that later. I've used USB monitors in the past, and they've always disappointed me. They were always a little laggy and sluggish. I was worried the UD-3900 would suffer the same disappointment. It definitely did not. I was able to drive both of my 23" monitors with ease. The additional USB ports were very handy and the added network speed of the UD-3900's Gb Ethernet jack was extra icing on the cake. I can't explain how easy it was to get everything working flawlessly. It just worked. With one exception...The UD-3900 was sending all its audio through the crappy, tinny little speakers on the monitor I had hooked up via HDMI. That wasn't quite the experience I had in mind. Even when I connected my regular speakers to the headphone jack on the UD-3900 the sound stayed on my monitor. I replied to the email Plugable initially sent me and told them my tale of woe. They replied in less than an hour, on a Saturday afternoon! They gave me a couple of things to try. When those things didn't pan out they immediately sent me out a replacement unit. I got the replacement unit today and it works like a champ.A few of my friends are picking up Surface Pro 2s, and I'm recommending the UD-3900 to all of them.tk

I like to monitor, but only one output port
August 5, 2017
I like to monitor, but the power supply is not functioning. I am using a substitute. I don't want to ding it just for minor thing.I am trying to reach supplier to just send me the power supply, I hope they don't ask me to return the whole thing, it will affect my work. One problem is that it has only 15-pin port. It is uncomfortable, when you want to connect to another machine you need an adopter.I wish I could return it back.
Recommend it.
March 8, 2017
The best and cheaper monitor you can ever get and worth the money. Never regret getting this product because it is very durable and convenient. When I put it on my desk, it was the perfect size and I love it so much. So far, I don't have any problems. The assembly was super fast and easy also the shipping too. It arrived in two days.
Excellent HP 21.5" LED HDMI VGA monitor.
September 19, 2016
We bought this second monitor for our use with the Surface Pro 4. So far it has been working flawlessly. The picture quality, color richness, and ease of use are great. We recommend it strongly.
Definitely one of the best
February 17, 2016
One thing I have to point out, if the monitor comes broken it has nothing to do with the company. Some reviewers gave it 1-3 stars because they received it broken. Dont be fooled because that doesn't happen very often and can be shipped back for free if it does. The Monitor itself is really great. One of the pictures were very misleading because it looks like the monitor is tilted up a little, but its not so no worries. No problems at all, very good quality, and no shipping damage. Looks really great for a monitor too so if your looking for a cheap good quality and good looking monitor, you've found what your looking for.
Stunning Display Not To Be A 4K

So far I love it. Screen is just right for my limited space. A 1080p monitor with hdmi and IPS is a steal at $100, its that simple people. See my pics.

Tonka Tested....Daddy approved!!
September 22, 2017
I have kids that dont like to keep thier hands off of things that are not meant for them to play with. (I.E. dads wireless keyboard) I went with a cheaper model so when they inevitably stomp on it, drop it, or spill something on it I wont be too heartbroken. Setup was easy... Plug in the usb dongle, remove the little tags from the surprise included batteries, turn them on and your set!! (On windows 10 at least). Very next day your son deciceds to drive his 1970s model Tonka dumptruck over the keyboard a few times, THEN proceeds to DROP said Tonka on top when he realizes hes been caught. Bet your envisioning keys everywhere, cracked plastic and death to my fancy new wireless keyboard huh? Nope!! 1 little scratch of the paint on the Win key! Not a stuck or broken key everything works flawlessly. Now dont go buying this thinking its indestructable, Can pretty much assure you it has a weakness, they all do, my kids just havent found it yet! Surprising little tidbit I read on the box and not in the description; the keyboard batteries last up to 36 months and the mouse goes for 18. If I get 6 months outta the (not advertised) included batteries Ill be a happy camper. My old set was lucky to get a month!! Anyhow everything with this set has surpassed my expectations by leaps and bounds. Its light, comfortable, and works fantastically from my couch (12 or so feet from the pc). Im not a power user or super gamer so did not need all the programable buttons and whatnot some of the more costly models include. But I am a cordcutter and my PC is mostly used for tv and movies. The volume keys are awesome for that. And i do like the other function keys. So for the price and features this is a deal and a half to me. Should this one get destroyed by my children I will definately reorder the same.
Great Device Combination, Cheap Price.
August 23, 2017
Great device combination, cheap price. I bought this pair because the keyboard in my laptop didn't operate reliably, and I needed that function to work for me without problems. This pair appealed to me for two reasons: first, it was wireless, so as long as I had a spare USB port for its dongle, which I did, I was in business. Second, it was so inexpensive that I assessed that I could buy it on speculation, and not feel badly about tossing it if it didn't do the job for me. As it happened, it has worked so well that I purchased another set, so that I could leave one at home and one on my campus, and avoid packing it when I went from home to campus. Oh, and, the feel of the keys is quite satisfying, in contrast to the laptop's own, and the mouse beats its touchpad utterly. What's not to like?
Amazing for the price
June 19, 2017
For the price, this is an amazing deal. I am by no means a keyboard fanatic, I do not care about the sound or feedback, but as far as I can tell this is a very solid keyboard and mouse. It's not very nice, it being entirely made out of plastic, but what can you expect from a $20 Bluetooth Mouse and Keyboard? The set up process was amazing, I put in the bluetooth dongle, flipped a switch on the mouse and keyboard and I instantly started using it, no set up required. At worst, the keyboard has hanged every now and then. Nothing appears on screen and then woosh, all of my sentances instantly type themselves out. That's only happened a few times out of the many hours I've used the set. Also, you won't have to change the batteries for a whole year pretty much, which is a relief.

while its not the loudest keyboard i have ever had it you can hear when the keys fly back to the ready position. The wireless function i was able to get to work to about 35 feet away in a conference room with out a problem. for the price point I don't think this combo can be beet. I do wish there were a way to tell the mouse is on besides moving it around with the computer on. while it is nice not having the red light underneath at least when it was visible light you knew your mouse was working and on:) I will try to respond back when the battery dies in the mouse and keyboard respectively to give a good understanding of product life. This review was typed out on the keyboard!
Worked Perfectly and Wireless!
March 16, 2016
It seems as though once one person gets a wireless keyboard and mouse then everyone wants one! I have even had people steal each others at work so I went ahead and purchased a bunch knowing they go quickly. This is a basic wireless combo with a keyboard and mouse. It's not the fancy version but gets the job done. You basically take the usb piece and plug it into your computer and BAM!! it works with no wires. In my experience Logitech has been a good brand for these types of items. I haven't had many issues with them overall. Sometimes you will get it where it loses connection or someone else picks up your wireless and you'll see a phantom pointer moving on your screen. I haven't had these issues with these new logitech mouse and keyboard. I am very satisfied and so are my coworkers who use them! I have also purchased the upgraded version and it works well too! I would definitely recommend this product and brand.
Plug in the USB gizmo and pull the tab on the batteries in the mouse and keyboard to get power, and Shazam! It works.
August 1, 2015
I got this great package yesterday, and it replaced my old wired keyboard and mouse on my old HP computer. It works great. I had problems with the built in mouse pad on the Chromebook 15, and my RN wife was afraid that I might end up with carpal tunnel syndrome and to suggested I try this cordless set with my Acer Chromebook. So, I tried it on my new Acer Chromebook 15, and it worked very well.It works great, and may be faster with the mouse on the Chrome book versus the HP.I had been considering buying the Acer Chrome Desk Top. If I can use a system to transfer the Image to my HP VGA 22 monitor, I will use my Chromebook 15 for what I now use my HP for on my office desk. The only mild complaint, is I can't find a sleep key for my HP monitor. So, I just push the off button.

Perfect key board for me
September 13, 2017
Knowing that we all have our preferences for keyboard touch and feel, I have to say that I love this one which arrived an hour ago. Keys are slightly concave. Noise is quite moderate, just enough to know that I have hit the key. Not only does the Caps Lock key have an on/off light in the key itselt, but it is intuitive. If I start to type my name using lower case, it automatically capitalizes the J. All of the keys work. I like the comfortable wide hand rest below the keys. The mouse glides very smoothly, feels comfortable and works perfectly as far as I am concerned. My computer is in a cabinet with a wooden door about 30 inches away but no problem "hearing" the keyboard/mouse. I tried moving the keyboard 8 feet away, still no problem. Setup took less than 5 minutes. With pre-installed batteries it was just a matter of plugging the tiny receiver into a USB port on the computer, turning the keyboard and mouse on, and away we go. I should mention that I put out a question on whether there was a caps-lock light and got both yeses and nos, but the keyboard I received on 9/13/17 has the light. And I get zero delay, hit the key and the character appears instantly.
Great Combo, Great Price, Refurb was fine.
October 11, 2016
I was heistant about buying a refurb, and the packing was a little suspect as the kb and ms arrived in a white box, untaped, with just a shipping label on it. However, the contents were all inside, in plastic, and everything worked and still works which is whats important. Nothing seemed used and most importantly, it cost like half of what it does new. They Keyboard has the same keybed as the K800, which is my favorite Logitech keyboard or any keyboard for that matter, and the mouse is wireless, comes with an actual unifying dongle, and works fine. Great secondary keyboard mouse combo that I use for servicing customer computers without having to disconnect my own KB and MS.Would buy again and recommend to a friend!
Works with LINUX
August 30, 2016
Very nice keyboard, good size and layout, plus I like the way it feels. It rests nicely on my lap when I'm sitting back; the palm rest is a big plus in that position, too. What really blew me away is I'm running LINUX (Mint 17.2), and the app launch hotkeys worked right out of the box! Of course a lot of the devices a keyboard needs to work with these days are just LINUX in disguise. So, I guess I shouldn't be surprised, but it gave it a big thumbs up in my book at any rate.If I could find one thing to complain about, it would be the feet to prop up the keyboard. They could use a better mechanism to hold them in place. Could be just a matter of a stronger spring. At any rate, they tend to fold down if you slide the keyboard forward. I've learned to pick it up and move it forward with both hands rather than pushing it away with one. It's just a minor annoyance to me.The mouse is comfortable and does its job. Works on every surface I've tried it on, couch, my leg, towel, pillow, and the usual places you'd expect it to.Overall excellent package. Pull the tape off the included Duracell batteries, plug it in and go, It's really that simple
A year later..
June 15, 2015
I have owned a few different Logitech accessories over the years and loved them all. Have owned this keyboard and mouse set for over a year now and LOVE IT. Never had any problems with it. Functions as it should and does it well. Batteries last a long time - as advertised (but depending on actual use). The buttons on the keyboard are soft, precise and fairly quiet. The mouse controls feel very precise as well. The clicks are short and distinct and the scroll wheel feels smooth. There is an LED light on both the keyboard and the mouse that warns you when the batteries need replacement - very handy. The keyboard has an adjustable tilt by moving the rubberized feet. You can also stand it on it's side and let it stand at a 90-degree angle to give you more desktop space. The keyboard also seems to be spill-proof as it is has a few slots on the bottom for the liquid to drain through (see pictures). Range: I sometimes use this set with my TV while the PC (connected via long HDMI cable) they're connected to is in a room about 15 feet away and works without interruptions. Overall, a great set and a good price that lasts and is backed by a good brand! Go Logitech!
Works well and good value for the cost
May 23, 2015
I bought the MK520 mouse and keyboard combination to replace a Microsoft keyboard and mouse that were no longer functioning properly. The MK520 is very reasonably priced. The dimensions of the keyboard are ideal for my purposes inasmuch as the keyboard does not take up a large amount of desktop space as is the case with the more expensive Logitech keyboards. I find the mouse very comfortable and easy to use. Initially, I had some trouble setting up the keyboard and mouse. However, this was resolved by the simple process of moving the receiver from a USB port on the back of the computer tower for my desktop to a USB port on the front of the tower. Since then the initial lag problems have been resolved. I like the feel and touch of the keyboard and so far I'm very pleased with this well-priced purchase.
Works Great on Fedora Desktop
January 31, 2015
This was waiting for me when I got home from work on Thursday (do the math). It comes with batteries (be prepared with some fresh ones). I plugged it in and it just works. I am using it on Fedora Linux (Fedora 21 64 bit KDE-Spin). It just works very well. For Fedora, I still need to map the various function keys. The volume buttons work out of the box.I plan on hooking it up to my W7 32 bit laptop. And I plan on downloading the driver for it to use with Windows. That will help it map better. Should be fun.I originally bought it to switch between desktop and laptop. When I am using my desktop as a gaming server, I can switch to the laptop and still be productive while everyone else is enjoy the full power of a Linux gaming server.Update: I just got this running on my W7 32 bit laptop. Everything works. I did download the driver software from Logitech. The software allows for other "Unifying" hardware to be added. For example the M310 mouse comes with the keyboard. If you want to use your blue M310 instead of the silver M310, just add it. There may be other "Unifying" items you may want to add...and they can be added using the download from Logitech.Over all, it is a nice keyboard. The keys are responsive, and relatively quiet.

July 10, 2017
I've been using this for almost a year - the hub still works as well as it did when I first got it. The monitor displays were easy to set up and it does what I needed - lets me use my "desktop" setup off my laptop when I'm at my desk.My only complaint may be this hub, or it may actually just be USB 3.0 in general, I'm not sure. But I was noticing significant lagging/dropping off issues with my wireless keyboard and mouse (dongles were both plugged into the hub). I replaced it with a wired keyboard and voila! it works great (do you have any idea how hard it is to find a decent wired keyboard anymore?!). I currently have the wireless mouse dongle plugged directly into my laptop. Its not the ideal solution because when I take my laptop to other locations, I have a different wireless mouse I keep in my bag (which means I have to keep up with both dongles).Overall, this hub is a good solution...I'm just hoping they keep making improvements ;-)

June 18, 2017
This works extremely well with my Samsung laptop. I'm surprised at the complete lack of delay running so many items through a single USB 3 port. I have one HD monitor, keyboard, mouse, speakers, and ethernet plugged in and everything works perfectly. I'm particularly pleased with the functionality of using the laptop's monitor as a dual monitor. When I don't need dual monitors, I can close the laptop and the monitor plugged into the docking station works as a single display. Very nice.My one complaint is that the only audio output on the docking station is the headphone output on the front of the device. Every other cable is able to plug into the back; the speaker cable plugged into the front makes the whole thing lopsided on my desk. I would prefer an actual line-out for speakers on the back of the device.
Good, not perfect
March 10, 2017
Minor issues, but this beats what I've used in the past. The only technical issue I've had is my USB phone doesn't boot up when the PC is powered on - I need to reseat the USB to get its attention (all USB ports act the same). Other than that the power supply is large and takes up at least 2 spaces on the power strip......and I do wish this device had it's own power supply connection for my laptop like other docking stations, though using the laptop supply isn't a huge hassle. I wasn't sure I liked the stand-up form factor but this hides neatly behind one of my monitors.I had to load new USB drivers for 2 of the three PCs I use with this. This wasn't overly complicated and actually turned out to be a good thing - fixed a glitch I had with Outlook :) Another plus is that I haven't seen the screen glitches I get with my docking station at work. Pretty happy overall.
Great docking station and company.
August 17, 2015
I purchased the UD-3000 months ago. It had all the connections that I would need to dock my laptop, and make connecting all my devices easy. However, I did experience a problem when I would shut the computer down; leave the docking station plugged in; and restart the computer. For some reason the connected docking station would cause my screen to be blacked out. I couldn't see the password screen; nor could I enter the password. This is on Windows 7 Professional- 64bit. I tried unplugging the docking station, but the black screen remained. I would have to force a shut down, unplug the docking station, and restart without the docking station plugged in. After the computer is up and running could I plug in the docking station and have everything function properly. I called the company to report this issue. The rep. wasn't aware of such an issue and replaced it free of charge. The new one did the same thing, so I called again. The rep. couldn't understand how this was happening and refunded me; allowing me to keep the product! Outstanding customer service!! After several months of daily use I have to say that it's one of the best docking stations I've ever owned, and I've had several. It never dropped connections and it isn't slow in response. I have a portable USB hard drive 3.0 connected and the transfer rate is really good. Internet speed dragged alittle, but then switched my modem to higher download and it now transfers about the same rate as if the modem was plugged in directly to the laptop.Last week, I happen to go to their website and notice they had available a new driver. I installed it and now the issue with the black screen at startup is gone. I don't know how long the driver had been available, but this has made things so much easier. Thanks Plugable! Would give them 4 1/2 stars, but Amazon doesn't allow half stars. I have tried to contact Plugable (phone message say to contact them via email) to offer payment for a product that now works as intended, but haven't heard back from them.
So far, happy with the unit and support from the company
August 15, 2015
This is going to be a two-part review. A review of the first unit I received and another for the replacement.Unit the first:It arrived on time in a box that wasn't shrink-wrapped. I didn't think anything of that at the time but it becomes more important later. After opening the box I noticed that the cables weren't in bags or twist tied. The main unit also had a shred of plastic along the top that looked like the remains of protective wrap. It was also covered in smudges. This looked like a used unit.I hooked everything up and things appeared to be working well until I checked the network connection. It was only running at 100Mbps. Not 1Gbps.I contacted Plugable support and they verified that the NIC connection should be 1G and thought it odd that the unit appeared used, following up with a suggestion that I consider exchanging it for another unit. Fortunately exchanges with Amazon are easy so I decided to go that route.Later in the day I decided to try out the audio and found that wasn't working and following up by looking through the Plugable support pages indicated that audio doesn't work with Win10 and that it's a USB driver bug that Microsoft needs to fix. Wonderful. I didn't purchase the unit for the audio support but not being able to use something that's a part of a purchase, grates. So I spent a few days using the defective, used unit while waiting for a replacement.Unit the second:Hey! This box is shrink-wrapped. Good. That means that the unit is going to be new or someone's playing the Best Buy game and re-shrink-wrapping used items.Opening the box showed a unit covered in protective plastic, cables twist-tied and adapters in little bags. Everything looks fresh from manufacturing.Got everything swapped out and watched as Windows went through its "new device" convulsions and what do you know, the NIC is showing 1G. That's a great beginning.Even better is the audio works! Sounds pretty good too. Freaked me out a little when I played the test sound as nowhere in the manual or on the box does it mention that this thing has speakers. So far so good.-5 stars to Amazon for sending me a used unit+5 stars to Plugable for their fast support+4 stars for the product. I'll bump it up to 5 if I fall in love with it after using it for a while.
Disappointed by performance with USB 3.0
October 2, 2012
Well, with it's USB 3.0 connectivity, and all the touting about the relatively decent graphics performance, I was very much looking forward to this for use on my ASUS Zenbook UX31A with a 3rd generation Intel I5 processor (which as I said, has USB 3.0 Super speed ports). This was connected to a 24" Samsung display at 1080p resolution. The good:- Well made and balanced - stays upright pretty easily- I do appreciate how Plugable uses the Displaylink drivers directly - always gives you the latest version of it- Drivers installed flawlessly and without a rebootThe not so good:- There is still noticeable lag in the mouse and keyboard actions- Dragging things like Windows around your desktop also cause lag, along with tearing of the image. A big bump in CPU use is also noted when this happens- Youtube drops many, many frames in 720p, and there is compression appliedFor regular Excel, and Word, this may prove ideal, but I think I will return the device, and make do with a regular USB 3.0 dock with a USB sound card, and Ethernet adapter, with the penalty of having to plug one additional thing in every time (the HDMI port on my laptop). It's just the laws of computing (cramming 1080p video bandwidth down a USB pipe) that is the limitation.UPDATE 10/3/2012I received an email from Plugable after they had read my review and suggested one key change: That I enable Aero desktop in Windows. Apparently non-Aero Windows (such as the Windows Classic theme I was using) are not accelerated by the GPU and instead are rendered by the CPU. After doing this, the lag and compression artifacts decreased significantly - almost to imperceptible levels, and large spikes in CPU were no longer present. I was also able to watch Youtube videos without dropped frames in HD. I am awarding two additional stars, one that represents the performance of the product, and the other for the excellent, and unprompted customer service that Plugable provides. I also failed to mention that I had a 3TB USB 3.0 hard drive plugged in to the device as well, with no noticeable issues or performance hit.

HP Pavilion 22cwa 21.5 inch monitor
September 11, 2017
My older HP SlimLine desktop has just the VGA output, and I neglected to get the VGA to HDMI adapter. I should receive the VGA to HDMI adapter in a couple days, and I will then give an updated review once I have the adapter installed. Otherwise, viewing the VGA output is not bad if all you have is VGA capability. I also recommend to lower the blue light display to save your eye strain....Update: received the VGA to HDMI adapter and installed. Very easy BTW, and the display is why I upgraded to HD instead of the ol' VGA. Very nice monitor for the price....
Good buy
July 6, 2017
It's holding up well, but goes to sleep too quickly, and is slow to wake up. I don't know if there's a setting somewhere I can change that, but it can be a bit annoying. Otherwise, I loved the price and it's doing it's job. That's all I can ask.
Looks good, works well...
January 26, 2017
So, it hooks up fine and looks good... resolution is very good for my needs (back up graphics computer)... with only a couple reservations (with the price consideration intact). The VGA hookup is antiquated in my opinion... my video card doesn't even have a VGA output, but fortunately I had an adapter in my 'old' computer apparatus box. It worked. Monitor seems to be clean, bright and worth the low price. BTW... I had mistakenly put the stand base wrong side up - as it seemed several other reviewers might have also... snap button goes on the bottom side... at first it would not snap together securely. Upon closer inspection, I noticed my error and it now works correctly.
perfect display? No
December 1, 2016
Is this a stunning, perfect display? No, not really. But it is perfect as a low-cost secondary display for a laptop. I work from home frequently, and my little laptop screen wasn't cutting it to connect to the bigger dual-monitor display setup I have on my desk at work. I needed something that was fairly inexpensive, but would be easy on the eyes when I'm coding for work. I bought it along with a VESA adapter and a mounting arm, because I like to put my secondary displays in portrait mode, and the stand it comes with doesn't do that. Color and resolution seem pretty good. The back light is nice. There's a tiny bit of light bleed around the edge of mine, but I use it in a fully lit room during daytime hours, so it's not bothersome. I do wish that the place you put the VESA adapter or stand was more centered, because the monitor is a little wobbly, even on the arm I have it mounted on. Otherwise, it's a solid monitor considering I only paid $100 for it. If you're looking for some fancy display for watching high definition movies and playing games, maybe this isn't it. But if you need a second or third monitor for internet browsing / writing code / basic stuff, this is a good choice.
but it works fine now and is a clear presentation
April 3, 2016
When I first set-up the monitor, the HDMI would not work nor be recognized by the monitor as an actual signaled input. I tried everything, so I called HP and had a long discussion with the tech, tried changing out HDMI cables (none came with the monitor, by the way). I reached a point where I decided the problem was with my 4 year old Gateway and had decided I would have to use the VGA for this monitor and just live with it.About 3 hours later after taking off the HDMI connection, I tried to try again for the hell of it. I hooked up the HDMI and guess what? It worked! Don't ask why it worked and don't ask an HDMI cable did not come with the monitor (only VGA), but it works fine now and is a clear presentation. Unreal - Ihave never seen a delayed reaction for an electronic device like this.
Excellent monitor
December 30, 2015
Quite pleased with this monitor. It arrived quickly and was quite easy to set up and get started with. Brilliant and bright screen and gives plenty of space to spread out with a number of open windows. The only criticism I'd make is that it doesn't permit enough tilt to the front. With only a 2% option I found it still hard to enjoy the looks. I added about a quarter inch "buffer" under the back of the stand and that made it exactly right. Just think it would be better if HP had allowed more front tilt.

I like almost everything
October 8, 2017
I like almost everything. It worked right out of the box. Wonderful! Its shortcomings are, the # sign is NOT the "upper case" 3. What is typed is the English currency pound sign. Was this keyboard made for England??? Another caveat is the @ sign. The @ sign is NOT the "upper case" 2. And, then it stands to reason, " (quote) is not on the keyboard next to the ENTER key.1. I figured out the @ and " were interchangeable. So when I am typing an e-mail address I use the " key, and when using quotes, I use the upper case 2.2. The # sign was ALL TOGETHER different. I was going to return the keyboard because I use lots and lots of # signs. I ACCIDENTLlY came accross the #. It was the back slash!!!!3. So where is the back slash???? Can someone help?? I don't want to return because I know this "happened" on three of these brand new boards. So it definitely is the board. Is there a way to change, is there a way to program and F key for the back slash (if I can find out where it is...)4. I will be calling the company tomorrow, wish me luck.
Works with Ubuntu 17.04 Linux, good value for the $
September 23, 2017
Works well with Ubuntu 17.04 once I installed the Solaar package. Otherwise only the mouse was paired with the unifying receiver. Solarr lets you pair multiple devices. It's available on github (posting a link here is not allowed). Keys are OK for an inexpensive non-mechanical keyboard. I would not do a lot of writing or programming but for casual use it is OK. Mouse is actually pretty good;: it even mostly works on glass (1/4", bottom surface frosted) but works better on paper or fabric. For the price, it's hard to beat.
Good K&M combo for the average user in the average home
June 19, 2017
I used to have a huge wireless keyboard and mouse (also by logitech). Had it for a few years, but it started to get crudded up. I tried to clean it myself, but then saw that this was available for cheap so I decided to get it. I like that it's light and fairly quiet. Seems pretty resistant to dust and dirt and crumbs so far. Not crazy about the small size of the mouse, though. This is like a kid's mouse. I need something that fits an adult hand (and I dont even have that big of a hand!).Not the greatest K&M combo in the world, but good for home use and the price is right.
Good, but...
April 20, 2017
This mouse uses a 2.4ghz signal. The same as a home wifi network. In our apartment building, there are a lot of competing signals and the mouse keeps being cut off. We have it hooked to my dad's Chromebox that he has hooked to the tv and uses from across the living room, so it's 10-15 feet away. It may work better if we'd use it for a computer right on the desk. The keyboard works wonderfully, though. I just bought a bluetooth mouse to replace this one and we aren't having any problems. I don't think there is anything wrong with the mouse, other than that it has the weakest signal.
Best keyboard for the price.
June 24, 2016
This is the best keyboard ever since it is so simple and cheap. Don't care for the mouse. I like my Logitech MX Master. The Logitech MX Master can work on either Bluetooth or a Logitech Unifying receiver. The downside with this keyboard is that it has a proprietary USB dongle that only works with this keyboard. It seems like with the Bluetooth technology we have today that my MacBook Pro's Bluetooth antenna should be able to handle a simple keyboard. I like bluetooth only devices because my laptop only has 2 USB ports and when I bring it to work I don't want to have to plug a million things into it. I have my external monitor and my USB dongle for this keyboard. The bluetooth only keyboards that I have seen available are more designed for travel use and have weird layouts of the keys. The layout on this keyboard is perfect for my needs and is easy to type on, so I can't move on to anything else yet.
Great value for OK equipment
January 4, 2016
At $19 with batteries included this is a great value. The keyboard feels OK. It has an ON/OFF switch, but does not have an indicator light to show that it is ON. A light might help me remember to turn it off to save battery. It worked reliably from 30 feet away. The M185 mouse is OK. It's significantly lighter than my old Logitech M305 mouse, and has smooth plastic sides where the M305 has nice grippy sides. This M185 mouse has an On/Off switch, but has no indicator light on top, and the motion tracker on the bottom seems to use light outside my range of vision. It hasn't been an issue for me, but it seems like it might have been nicer if the keyboard and the mouse used the same size batteries. The Keyboard uses two AAA, the mouse uses one AA battery.

Quiet, Soft Keys...
August 17, 2017
Easy install, works with my work laptop Windows 7. The multi-receiver works with other Logitech devices, like a second mouse for home. Only thing that I am not very used to, and this is purely from a user preference perspective is the lack of tactile keyboard. I guess I am an old fashioned IBM PC era user, although it can be a little noisy, I enjoy the clicking sound and the feel of the keyboard when I type, but this particular model does not have an active tactile keys. I guess it is more modern way of typing in the workplace.
Nice, not perfect, but a good midrange setup
January 9, 2016
The best Logitech KB I have owned, though I will say that their cheap older KB's were pretty awful. I have two older ones with horrible sticky key action, creaky plastic construction, like torture to use them any length of time. On this the action is nice, positive, quiet. It's not back lit. Nice looking, nice shape to the edges. Very pleasant to touch unlike a lot of cheaper squared off KB's. The FN buttons are mostly odd choices that I will never use. The battery life thus far has been excellent, some of the older wireless setups would really eat batteries. I really like the fact that you can flip the keyboard upright and it will stand up on it's back edge so you can use your desk for other purposes without casting around for some place to store the thing. The mouse is nice and responsive.
Keys take getting used to, nice and quiet
October 28, 2015
Only reason I give it 4 of 5 stars is for one reason or another the USB receiver didn't detect in the first motherboard USB port I stuck it in. Put it in the front case port (not desirable since now I have 1 of 2 filled all the time) and up it came. Also, the keys are closer together than I like, so being used to more traditional keyboards with different shape keys with more of a gap, typing on here means more mistakes until I get used to it. More keyboards for one reason or another seem to be moving this direction or the chiclet design (which I don't like at all); go back to the older designs or offer them as another model in the same price point!
Works well enough as an occasional use interface where wireless is required
August 29, 2015
My needs are not very taxing for this keyboard/mouse pair. They are both within 5 feet of my computer. I have them on a moving platform that makes having wired units impractical. The keyboard does feel a bit cheap (light/plasticky) when typing but for the price and *my* needs this is fine. I don't think I'd be satisfied if this was my primary keyboard.I dinged this a star due to the occasional pauses that the mouse exhibits while I'm using it. I'm on a pretty high-end Alienware Windows 7 64 Bit machine with 12 GB of RAM and a potent i7 processor. Yet inexplicably the mouse will pause in mid-swipe now and then for a second or two and then continue on as if nothing had happened. The machine is primarily a flight simulator and so the mouse is largely used for configuration instead of day-to-day surfing and working so this works well enough for my needs.
Great non-ergonomic keyboard.
December 12, 2014
We have had a dozen of these combos at our office for several years and have not had any fail. The keys are all still easy to read even after years of daily use. The mice are as good as when they were new. I like the look and feel, especially of the keys. Just the right amount of feedback for me. However, I switched from this to a Microsoft split keyboard after 4 years as my wrists were starting to hurt. I don't think this issue is specific to the Logitech MK520 versus other non-ergo keyboards, but wanted to note it in case it helped someone. I woud LOVE to see Logitech come out with a wireless ergo keyboard as good as the Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000. I love the Logitech system and tiny unifying receivers!Feel free to ask any questions and I'll do my best to answer.
Just arrived!!
May 22, 2013
I got my keyboard today and I have been using this for like an hour now continuously typing emails and blogs. So thought as well I might write a review on this. This product arrived thanks to Amazon who delivered it in flat two days time. I had actually tried the keyboard at staples before I decided to buy it from amazon. Staples sold it for 69 where as amazon listed it at 35$ which was great.Keyboard - the keys are soft and don't make much noise which is what I prefer. They are super responsive and I have absolutely no issues typing with this keyboard. At the same time this keyboard feels really compact and doesn't feel too big to fit it anywhere. Has a good wrist rest and I can actually type without moving my wrists anywhere which shows that the keyboard is not only smooth and responsive but also easier to type.Mouse - I am a mouse collector and have about more than 25 mice of various brands including logitech. I must say this mouse is basic from the ones I have used and has only two buttons. However it fits well into the palm and is quite responsive and accurate. I would have expected logitech to give a better mouse thought which had more buttons. All in one for a 35$ package this is a decent package, only if the mouse was better I would had said it value for money. I reduced one star only for the mouse for the lack of buttons.I'll try to see if I can pair one of my better logitech wireless mice with this combo. I'd recommend this package for anyone who surfs the net a lot and writes a lot of blogs or chats. This is definitely not for gamers but excellent for general and business use.

Plugable USB 3.0 Universal Laptop Docking Station
September 10, 2017
I am using this docking station with my Acer laptop which has Win 10 Pro OS. It is relatively easy to install. You must install the driver first, reboot and connect the docking station. However, my laptop developed an issue which is when the laptop is not connected to the docking station, the laptop screen becomes unstable and it flicker. I am trying to solve this issue with “Plugable” support. They have been very responsive, but it is not been resolved. I am going to restore the OS, and start over the process. If it does not work, I am going to return the product. However, when the laptop is connected to the docking station, everything works very well.
Very Pleased - Meh, it's alright.
August 5, 2017
Great replicator/expander and display adapter. To be over USB 2.0 on a very old laptop, it does a great job even at 1920x1080. I'm not gaming or doing anything with animation, and while there can be a slight, almost imperceptible, latency when moving things about, it does extremely well given the circumstances. Very pleased.Update: So a quick update. A lot of noise gets generated on the speaker jack, and I know it's the Plugable because the sound is muted, and it stops when I unplug the jack. Also, there are consistent flickering issues at the top of the screen, and it occasionally locks up requiring it to be completely power cycled. Gets the job done, but for the issues, it's a bit overpriced.
if you are willing to mess with drivers, this unit works fine
January 17, 2016
I am using this unit with a Dell XP13, Windows 10.I finally have it working, but don't assume it is plug-n-play. The driver that Windows 10 automatically downloads is buggy. First, I got no Ethernet, Then, there was no display (I have a VGA 1920x1200). If you have problems like this, your first stop should be http://www.displaylink.com/downloads/windows (the driver on the manufacturer's http://plugable.com/drivers/displaylink did not work for me). However, if you already have a driver installed, first download and run "DisplayLink Install Cleaner" which is here: http://www.displaylink.com/downloads/file?d=64 (it takes a minute to run, so be patient). At some point, Windows 10 did an update, and then my problems returned. I tried reinstalling the latest driver, but it would not install saying that the installed driver was already latest. This is where the Cleaner came to the rescue. The next reinstall went fine and the unit started working again. I suspect this procedure will need to be repeated when Windows 10 upgrades.Note, I did not test the HDMI port nor the audio. The USB ports worked even with the older drivers. In conclusion, if you are willing to mess with drivers, this unit works fine.
TERRIFIC...ABOUT 85% OF THE TIME.
December 22, 2015
I struggled to know exactly how many stars to give this one. It works perfectly, about 85% of the time. I would give it five stars during those times. So, most of the time, everything is good, nothing is bad. I love the convenience of simply plugging one usb cable into my laptop, and then my "desktop" workstation is all set to go.But about 15% of the time, there is a problem with either the sound, or the display, or one of the other peripherals I have plugged in. The problems are most likely due to Windows updates, but when a company provides an interface like this, they really need to stay on top of things like that. One frustrating thing is that it isn't always the same issue, either. Sometimes, the sound goes out when the computer has been dormant for a while. Sometimes, the screen won't come on. Sometimes, the sound issue is fixed by making the plugable the default sound device. Sometimes, it is already is, and I have to restart the computer; but I have to make sure and unplug before I restart, because if I restart with it plugged in, that causes new problems.I'd love to give it five stars, but these consistently recurring issues are frustrating.
It could be tricky to use if you have Windows 10 with Dell 13 9343
October 8, 2015
I have DELL XPS 13 9343 which comes with Intel HD 5500 and running Windows 10 Pro.After tried different approaches (including reset my laptop), here is how I make it work.1. DO NOT plug in USB cable to your laptop yet. Do the following first.2. Intel recently upgraded HD 5500 driver to 10.18.15.4279. You need to download it from Intel web site and upgrade display driver first. DO NOT upgrade it from Device Manager or DELL web site. Both provide outdated driver which could cause your laptop screen to go black and eventually blue screen.3. Download the DisplayLink driver from Plugable web site. The default driver from Microsoft simply doesn't work (dlkmd.sys problem). If you do step 2 right, the installer will proceed. Otherwise, it will request you to upgrade OEM driver first.4. Now, plug in USB, and it should work properly.I don't think this is an issue with Plugable. However, I wish they provide a warning or notice in the package to remind buyers how to avoid these Win10 issues. At one point, I totally lost control of my laptop because DisplayLink driver issue. I am glad it is working properly now.
I see the potential, it's just not there yet.
December 17, 2013
I have nothing major to report, but there are just little annoyances that make the product not meet it's full potential. My laptop is an Asus G74SX with Windows 7 Ultimate. 8GB RAM and 2 500GB HDD.1. Installation was a bit of an issue. I followed the recommended method and downloaded the latest drivers from the various parties. My laptop reported using Fresco Logic USB3 so that is what I downloaded. Those drivers cause the system to BSOD. I had to do a system restore and start over. Next time I just updated the drivers from Windows Update and used the supplied Display Link driver off of the CD. That worked fine.2. When the system goes into sleep mode, I have to press the laptop keyboard to get it to wake up. I reported this to plugable and was given some instructions to change settings to no avail. Sometimes, when coming out of sleep, the monitor plugged into the hdmi port will not work until I reboot the system. I power everything down, including the ud-3900.3. When I reboot, I get a message that "this device can perform faster" like when you plug a usb2 device in a usb1 port. It then disappears so I think it may be when it is initializing the usb2 ports in the ud-3900.Good things: I have both usb3 ports in use with external usb3 drives. The sound works thru the UD-3900. The network adapter seems to work fine. Disconnecting the laptop is easier with just one (usb3 cable) connection. Before I found the ud-3900, I had connected everything thru the laptop's available ports and it worked fine, but this gives me the ability to add a second or third monitor and makes connecting and disconnecting much faster. Plus, having the sound come thru desktop speakers is much better.

The graphics requirements for the KANO is pretty basic, so it works for that
September 27, 2017
I got this to use it with my son's KANO Kit. The graphics requirements for the KANO is pretty basic, so it works for that, but anything more would be pushing it. This is not for use for games, or watching TV or anything like that
Scratches Easily, but Easy Set Up, Good Image Quality
May 16, 2017
Scratches very easily :( Was wiping it with a soft and appropriate cloth brand new out of the package and it somehow got scratched already. Good borderless view, very clear pixels, easy set up.
Nice Monitor with a little light bleed
March 8, 2017
Received yesterday and installed. Looks great from the beginning but then played a video and the bottom left side at the very lip of the edge of the monitor appears to have a light bleed. Good news is it is not necessarily in my field of vision and you don't notice it when doing normal internet stuff. Just when watching something that is darker. I will have to use it for a few days before I can decide whether it will be super annoying or not. I may eventually get used to it and not even notice. Other than this though the monitor itself is very nice and provides a very good picture.
Nice monitor, but got a stuck pixel in less than a month.
January 19, 2017
The screen has worked great so far! However I've had it less than a month now, and already have what appears to be a stuck pixel. I have one solid Red pixel on the lower left corner of my screen. It hasn't been hit or bumped at all. It has just been on my desk. Guess I'll see if amazon or HP will let me return it for a replacement.
OK for the price but suffers on backlighting in bright conditions
January 14, 2017
The resolution on this monitor is pretty good for the price and it has lots of adjustment options. Color is also good but nothing to get excited about. Unfortunately, I think it a little dim and wish it had more back lighting. I have a large window next to my computer in my office and I don't have much control on the light coming through it. When the sun is bright, I have a hard time reading with this monitor. It easily catches glare from other light sources and bright fluorescent lighting. The price was very good but doesn't outweigh the back lighting issue. I'm tempted to replace it after a month.
The cosmetics are excellent. A great look for the price
August 3, 2016
The cosmetics are excellent. A great look for the price. However the colors seem washed out. On this monitor 'pure black' (0, 0, 0) is illuminated far too much compared to your average monitor. This illumination gives it a borderline grey-like appearance. Spent a couple hours fiddling with all possible color settings, contrast, brightness, Technicolor (HP), disabling "black-stretch", etc. to no avail.Acceptable but not recommended.

Good Keyboard - Lousy Mouse
October 6, 2017
As expected, based on the price, the keyboard and mouse are both lightweight and cheap. However, I like the feel of the keyboard. It's keys are more "old school", which I definitely prefer over the lower profile types. The mouse is pretty poor, though. The plastic edges of the lighter color band wrapping around the top of the mouse can be felt, so it doesn't feel smooth in the hand and will certainly pick up hand grime. The roller indents are not quite solid enough. The sensor is too sensitive, so that when I pick the mouse up to reposition it the screen pointer moves more than my old Logitech mouse so I have to pick it up higher before putting it back down. Worse, the sensor seems to be slightly misaligned compared to other Logitech mouses I've owned, so that it wants to move at a slight angle when I move it straight up. Again, I've had several other Logitech mouses and never had a problem. I purchased two of these MK270 units and the problems are the same on both. Lastly, the two that I received did NOT come with the unifying receiver. I've decided not to send both back because of this (although I AM sending one back because the keyboard itself was defective). Because I like the keyboard so much, I'm going to keep it and use it alongside an old Logitech mouse and deal with two dongles.
this is an excellent buy for notebook users who have to work long ...
August 8, 2017
Reliable and well shaped. Would have graded it higher, but the keys are somewhat stiff with too high a travel--typing is work, compared to the Microsoft keyboard, for example. But the price is right, and having the separate input devices increased the useability of my notebook over a full workday enormously from an ergonomic viewpoint, especially in tandem with a standing desk. If you can live with the harder keys. this is an excellent buy for notebook users who have to work long hours, and a much cheaper alternative to a separate monitor--just elevate the computer to ideal eye height, and leave the keyboard and mouse on the desk.
Excellent keyboard; terrible mouse.
July 28, 2017
While the combined keyboard and mouse offered here at Amazon is a great deal (especially when I picked it up as a part of a PrimeDay Special), the keyboard itself is excellent while the mouse is a disappointment. The keyboard has a large, spacious layout with slightly textured keys. I absolutely love it. The feedback is perfect too. While I don't use the additional "shortcut" buttons on the very top of the keyboard, the on/off switch above the number pad is convenient and saves battery life. Other keyboards I've used in the past included a switch on the bottom, if at all.Again, the mouse is a disappointment however. It is both too small and ergonomically awkward to use for my slightly large, male hands. Scrolling with the center wheel stutters up and down documents and pages when browsing online instead of the smooth, natural scrolling of my former mouse. In all, it works to point-and-click around a screen but is more annoying than its worth. If your hands are tiny, this may work for you. Otherwise, purchase the keyboard separately and look elsewhere for a mouse.
Received non-Unifying version; interference(?) issues made it unusable
April 15, 2017
I was satisfied with the build quality of both pieces of this set (as expected given experience using Logitech products over the years); I received the non-Unifying-receiver version and experienced what seemed to be interference (I work in an office with numerous wireless devices operating on various frequencies). Could potentially also have been a power issue as it sometimes seemed one or both units would power down or enter a sleep mode; fresh batteries did not change this nor could I discover any setting that would affect it. I reluctantly returned this. I suspect the Unifying version would work for me as I subsequently began using a Logitech mouse with Unifying receiver and have experienced no issues.
mouse great, keyboard great when it works, irritating when it doesn't
August 25, 2016
I really wanted to like this, but I frequently have the same problems some others have reported with this keyboard. It really lags sometimes. In other words, I type in a few characters (doesn't matter which application, same behavior in Word, Firefox, Notepad, etc) and then wait several seconds for the letters to show up on the screen. The mouse works great, even when the keyboard isn't doing so well. The fact that the mouse keeps working while the keyboard lags, combined with the observation that the keyboard sometimes gets a lot better after I turn it off/on, leads me to believe that this is most likely not a wireless conflict with my 2.4 Ghz wireless USB interface. I think it's just a problem keyboard.Update: I used a USB extension to put the USB connector closer to the keyboard and have had no problems since. Updating to 3 stars.
Great keyboard, mouse failed at 8 months
January 25, 2015
I love this mouse and keyboard combo. The keys are soft-touch and low-profile, so my wrists don't hurt after hours of use. My only complaint is that sometimes the mouse's scroll-wheel just.. doesn't work. It rolls, but the computer doesn't think it's doing anything. This has happened while browsing the web, in Office applications, and most notably in video games. Sometimes it starts working again on its own, and sometimes I have to restart the software or reboot the computer. Very intermittent but weird. I've never had this issue with Logitech wireless mice, so not sure if mine is just a dud. I still love this combo though, the issue isn't serious enough to warrant a return.Update at 8 months: The mouse's scroll-wheel continued to randomly stop working, and then the mouse started failing entirely. I replaced the batteries so that's not the issue.. it just stopped working. Turning it off and on again fixed the issue a couple of times, but now it doesn't work at all. I have another logitech wireless mouse (stand alone) that has been working for far longer, so I don't know if this is just an issue with the combo mouse or if I just got a dud.

I had wanted to use THIS keyboard with it because I liked this one which was my old one. I replaced it because the keys "stuck" some how. That is, I would strike them to type several words and nothing showed up on the monitor. I'm having the same problems with the one I bought to replace the old one! I'm very fast on a keyboard and I'm having the same problems with this one! It's as if it were too slow for me. I haven't yet told my computer "guru" about it but will have her check because I honestly don't know if the problem is with me, the keyboard or the computer -- which is also pretty new.
Only the mouse functions and the keyboard sometimes.

Delivered on Time. Packaging was good. I set mine up about 15 feet away from my Samsung HD 1080p 60 located in my Family Room. I have my screen mounted above my Fireplace Mantel. The TV automatically recognized the USB receiver when I could finally get it installed in the USB connector on back of the TV. On the internet portion of my smart TV I realized the mouse works, however the keyboard works sometimes. It is sluggish or non responsive. If you are in Netflix, the mouse and keyboard does not function. It is better than using the remote, but half of the controls are on the remote and the others can be controlled by the mouse. It is not 100% productive. I do not know what to blame the problem on.I would not recommend until I do more research to find solutions for these issues.
This is not recommended unless you can ignore the cons I mentioned
November 23, 2015
I am always a Logitech user for peripherals. My previous MK710 started giving me trouble by missing "s" and "h" keys. Since the oversees shipping is quite high for keyboards I ordered this lighter version this time. I ordered this item. First time in my life I felt Logitech has made an inferior item.Pros:Cheap priceThree years battery life for the keyboardK/M on-off switch for battery savingCons:Feels cheap qualityPalm rest too short for comfortKey travel is too shortI did not used the mouse because still using the MK710 Marathon mouse. So can not say anything for the mouse. If not for weight I would have ordered MK710 again. This is not recommended unless you can ignore the cons I mentioned. Hence the three stars
Hot and Cold, I keep trying and although they are ok, i miss being wowed when opening a package.

I keep buying keyboard and always end up with thin plastic light weight clicky items that would be better suited with bright colors in a child's crib. Why can i not find a clean, nice size, soft touch (rubber/silicon) key's with a bit of a bump or tap so you know it took. And yes Unified Receivers are great! But come one when are you going to allow them to be paired to multiple devices. It would only take a hot key combo or a tiny switch on the keyboard to switch from one PC to another. I was so disappointed when i found out i couldn't use Multiple Unified Receivers to coincide with my outdated KVM switch. The video was good but i no longer have SP2 ports for a wired keyboard or mouse and didn't one. I can't drop a paycheck on a KVM switch every few years. But if I were to do so i would like it to be a Logitec device using the Unified Receivers.Last but not least... i keep buying keyboards and they are all plastic clinky.... well they feel ugly. I love metal and strong solidly built items. I get something made out of less than light weight plastic wouldn't be convenient for your backpack.... but come on my stack of keyboards don't leave the box next to my desk. And what is up with the price discrepancy.... all are under 40 and the next set break 1-200 dollars. There are a few people left in middle class that like quality. Your products work but they need to feel confident. My first iP_d portable music library/player with the sliver metal case and deep black sheen of the screen... you need to sell something i want to buy just to hold and look at,,,, and then circle back to quality and innovations like making the BEST KVM solution that has ever existed. You can do it so ,,,, why not do it.
It's okay, but doesn't work well with KVM.
January 10, 2015
It's okay and I suppose worth what you paid for it. If you're looking for something inexpensive and aren't too picky it's just fine.Pros:- Keyboard is laid out well.- Only requires 2 AA batteries and has on/off switch on top so you can turn it off when not in use.- stays in place on your desk, doesn't slide around on it's own.- keys are quiet- Mouse fits well in the hand and also has on/off switch on bottom if you remember to use it- Uses a very small USB receiver for both mouse and keyboardCons:- Keys are really spongy and sometimes miss a stroke- Mouse feels light and cheap (to be expected I suppose)Now the killer - Show Stopper - No Bueno....This does NOT work with my KVM. Not sure if it will work with others, but I have a two port IOGEAR KVM (GCS632U) and switch often between two machines. This Logitech USB receiver isn't recognized well or something and every time I switch the KVM (using the scroll lock hotkey) the other computer isn't recognized. The only way to get it to work is to physically move the USB back-n-forth between the two ports on the KVM). I spent hours researching and looking for any solution someone found to get this to work, but all I found were many other people complaining about the same problem. And stranger still is that everything works fine with my older Logitech S510 wireless keyboard/mouse combo.OVERALLDecent, inexpensive, quiet. Worth it I suppose for those who don't use a KVM.
Logitech Unified Receiver "Problems"
September 18, 2014
When I received the unit, it looked like it had been opened and returned (the batteries were installed), but the "pull" tabs for the batteries were not in place. One was in the box laying loose, the other one was missing completely. I plugged the unit into my media computer. Nothing happened (did not install). Checked settings (turn off/on keyboard & mouse and try to pair again), but no software loaded and neither the keyboard or mouse would work. I had a Logitech trackball on the unit already. Moved to a new computer (same setup with trackball). Plugged in the USB wireless receiver (unified). Software installed for the unified USB receiver (automatically)! Paired the keyboard & mouse, and checked the software. It shows 2 unified receivers, 1-trackball, other one with keyboard/mouse. Unpaired keyboard/mouse & USB receiver. Ran software & paired keyboard and mouse. It works properly. Unpaired keyboard/mouse. Return to media PC. Download unified software from Logitech. Install Logitech unifying software. Paired the keyboard & mouse. It now works on the media PC. While it was a hassle to install, it seems to work properly after that. Since it looked like it had been opened, I believe the previous owner was not able to successfully pair the devices - like my first try.

Not a good replacement for Dell's Port Replicator
October 30, 2017
Very disappointed. Was hoping this would replace my Dell Port Replicator but nope. First, the laptop has to be open to turn on the power where the replicator has a power button of its own. I could live with that but then I tried watching a video. I have a powerful video card in my Precision Workstation and the video window became unresponsive once it finally got going. It seemed fine for Microsoft Office products but not able to handle video. It also required the purchase of an obsolete cable to hook up my second monitor, which I thought was odd and looking back, my first clue that this isn't a first rate piece of technology. I'm just glad that Amazon stands behind their products and has an awesome return policy. Another lesson learned....
Didn't work for my laptop, Very good tech support
April 18, 2017
I tried to get it to work with a HP EliteBook laptop running Windows 7 64 bit. I was suffering from major lagging problems and could hardly move around. I worked with the Tech Support via email to try to resolve with latest software but it didn't help. The end for me was turning on the laptop, no docking station, monitor, or peripherals connected and not Ethernet and WiFi; laptop was suffering my major lagging could hardly move around but got Plugable drivers uninstalled and that solved the lagging. I wanted this product to work for me but it did not.Technical support worked with me (via email) very well to try to resolve issues and even wanted to send me a new replacement station. They didn't agree it was a software issue but with just turning on the laptop and it being un-usable I couldn't see trying another unit.
Be wary of supporting dual monitors with this item
April 15, 2017
Very disappointed with the docking station. I expected to be able to connect 2 - 27 inch monitors to it. 1 via HDMI and 1 via vga. The vga one appears to work ok, but the HDMI one has been a disaster. I am running windows 10 and a surface pro 2 and using a USB 3.0 (the only usb port on the surface pro 2) and the HDMI display continually blinks and flashes and is essentially un-useable. I searched for help on their web-sites and they do suggest a work around of messing around with the registry settings which does work for a few minutes but before long the displays starts flashing/blinking/etc again. I ensured I had the lasted DisplayLink drivers as recommended and yet the problem persists. Obviously if one of these was not going to work I would prefer it to be the vga connection since that is lower res/quality, but failure of the HDMI connection seems like a big deal. This product seems overpriced for what it claims that it does, but fails to deliver on.

April 5, 2017
I recently bought this laptop docking station to set up a dual monitor workspace in my basement. The ability for it to split the signal and output to two monitors has been great. It has been almost exactly what I was looking for.The issue I have with it, I would have imagined would be the easier part of the engineering... the other USB ports barely work. I plugged my wireless keyboard and mouse into the docking station (currently the only thing I have plugged into any of the USB ports) and it seems to lag severely and sometimes not work at all. When I unplug the receiver and plug it into the laptop itself it works great, but that defies the point because I swap the workstation out between four different laptops. For $95 to not have a single USB port that can work continuously for 10's of mins... is inexcusable. I went with this more expensive option hoping to avoid issues like this. This product does little more than an HDMI splitter would do, for three times the cost.
Two-year Life Span
March 2, 2017
My office purchased three of these docking stations in 2014. Because I wanted my home office to be set up the same way, I later purchased my own.During 2016, all three of my work's Plugables failed. Now, after two years of solid performance, mine has failed as well. I have been troubleshooting for hours on my two laptops, a Windows 7 Lenovo and a Windows 10 Asus. I have tried uninstalling DisplayLink and failed be complete a reinstallation because, at the setup's instructions, my laptops are unable to detect the docking station when I plug it in.Otherwise, this unit has provided good performance, with only slight drag on the mouse using dual monitors. I just wish the device could have lasted longer, but two years seemed to have been the life span of all four units we have used.
Plugable may not work 100% of the time if you're running 3 screens.
August 12, 2016
I've been using it a few weeks. It's plugged into an Acer notebook, USB3.0 port. I have two external monitors running FHD. One monitor is plugged into the Notebook's HDMI port. The other is plugged into the Plugable's HDMI port. I extend my desktop across all 3 screens. Works perfectly most of the time. But shortly after I started using it this way, my screens would freeze for a moment and I'd get a message that the Graphics recovered. After several days of that, the monitor plugged into the Pluggable HDMI port started flashing on and off. Moving the mouse around cleared a pixel path. I have to unplug HDMI port on the Pluggable. Wait until I hear a beep. Plug it back in again. Then I have to move all my work windows around again. It's a loss of 3-5 minutes, 2-3x a day. I'm not sure if this is a factor but it seems to happen only when I have a website on the screen that's flashing pictures on screen. I dont recall this ever happening when I'm editing video or using text heavy applications like Outlook or Word. When it started, Googling the error message about the graphics reset asked me to update the drivers. All drivers were already up to date.

BEWARE
March 10, 2017
OSD Lockout issue which doesn't allow you to control buttons on bottom of the monitor and HP does not help what so ever! My advice is to not use your hard earned money to invest into HP as a company! Their customer service is crappy and I so wish I was warned before I purchased this product. This is my first HP purchase as I have dell. Product also has a warning label stating "WARNING: This product contains a chemical known to the state of California to cause cancer." Why would a monitor contain chemicals that cause cancer??? Agents do not seem to be located in the US either and have no knowledge what so ever on this product but the fact that its HP LOL like seriously. HP is a joke :(
Noticeable horizontal flickers for white
March 3, 2017
When displaying white, there are noticeable horizontal flickers moving slowly from the bottom of the screen to the top of the screen. I do find the flicker distracting and annoying. I can barely live with it. Have not been annoyed enough or have enough time to try to exchange for another monitor. Not sure if this is a rare defect or a common occurrence. Other than that, the display operates as intended.
Wanted to love it, can't.
February 28, 2017
I wanted to like it. I really did. The screen is great with no glare, black blacks, solid colours and a snappy reaction time.Setup is a breeze as well, you just snap in the stand to the base and the monitor to the stand. Quite sturdy compared to some others since it's inlaid with metal. The only issue I have, is that like another reviewer here, I have an issue with it randomly deciding to turn off the screen for a few seconds (flickering) and then come back on. It's disturbing when I'm watching a video or gaming on it because I can't do anything during that time.Reached out to HP, they sent another one (had to pay shipping since I'm not in the US), and they want the old one back. Here's the kicker, the new one has the same issue too now. No other monitor or TV I've tried has had this issue with my laptop. End all, I'm paying more to get the replacement that doesn't work and ship back the old one that doesn't work than I originally paid for the dang thing.Summary: Get another monitor, maybe something from Acer or ASUS or Samsung or LG....

I bought this monitor just to use it as a secondary monitor when I work on documents. However, I did not get clear reception. Letters were not clear and images were blurry. Other people seem to like this monitor so I am not quite sure if it was just mine. Still, I would recommend spending more money to get a better monitor.

January 17, 2017
I will echo what some have said here already. This is by no means a crisp monitor. The letters have shadowing. I purchased for my office as a second screen with my Varidesk and my laptop looks better, even though the screen resolution is lower. I have to decide now whether I want to send it back. Disappointing to say the least, but you also get what you pay for.

MK 270 -- not unifying receiver
August 22, 2017
As a previous reviewer noted, there are two versions of the mk 270. This was listed as being a unifying receiever model, but I received a nano receiver that is not a unifying receiver. Since I don't have other logitech products I'm trying to sync, I don't care too much, but this is not how the listing advertising this product. That being said, the product seems to work pretty well -- the keyboard is decent for a $20 keyboard, the mouse is a little small but works, set up was painless, etc. Worked well with my cranky old desktop upgraded to W10 last year.
Bah, humbug.
August 22, 2017
The mouse works fine, the keyboard is iffy. Some keys seem to work all the time, others are pretty spotty, and the direction arrow keys simply quit for no apparent reason whatsoever. Until they come back on for no apparent reason whatsoever. I've used Logitech for ...it seems like decades... and have never had a problem until now. (So of course I threw away the box... because I'm a dork.) So ... it's mine now until I buy another... soon...and then it's off to my growing pile of electronic recycling. Bah, humbug.
I will say that the mouse and keyboard work well and feel sturdy enough, especially for the price
April 25, 2017
It was hard to finalize a rating for this product for a number of reasons, because for some people it might be worth 5 stars, but I'll briefly explain why it's only worth 2 to me.First, I will say that the mouse and keyboard work well and feel sturdy enough, especially for the price. My main two issues though can be summed up by the fact that the product listing is misleading and in fact incorrect.Issue 1 - The mouse is better suited for travel and is definitely not full size. This was never mentioned in the listing and might steer people elsewhere for this type of purchase, especially when buyers are specifically looking for full sized 9 key keyboards as a pairing.Issue 2 - The main reason I settled on this combo unit is because it was represented as containing a Logitech Unifying Receiver, which it clearly does not. This is a deal breaker for me and will cause me to return this product.
Poor connection, keyboard freezes and keys stop working.
February 3, 2015
My wife purchased the Logitech Wireless Combo Mk520 With Keyboard and Mouse for her home office, and loves it. I needed a keyboard/mouse combo for work, so I purchased the MK270, a cheaper version. Well, it is definitely cheap. The keyboard has frozen mid-typing, the backspace, delete, and arrow keys have a tendency to stop working as well. I changed the batteries and even relocated the PC tower so that the USB transmitter is in line-of-sight with the keyboard - still having issues. It's cheap, only $20, but I am considering returning it.
Keyboard to Computer Delay
August 4, 2014
Updated Review (8/18/2014) - I cannot stand the delay from the keyboard to computer. I have officially snapped and will not be using or recommending this product due to the delay. I keep my keyboard off when I'm not using it (when the computer is off and I'm not at my desk) but when I don't type on it for a minute and go to type, I expect it to type, not delay 20 seconds and still not use all the letters I typed in. It might start working after 45 seconds of frustration and wearing patience.Original Post (8/4/2014) - 3 Stars: I absolutely hate the delay from the keyboard to the computer. Sometimes it's sporadic but can take up to 20 seconds before it catches up. I am considering going to a wired keyboard or trying a different one because of how frustrating this is. I've only been using the keyboard for about a week and a half.
Be aware - two different versions out there
March 28, 2014
I ordered it on 3/23 from Amazon and received a couple of days later. To my surprise, the box doesn't say "unifying receiver". Took the keyboard/mouse out - yes indeed the receiver only says "Nano Receiver", and it doesn't have the orange star unifying logo. I also installed Logitech Unifying software but this receiver is not recognized.UPC/Product ID all match. Appears Logitech changed the product. Amazon needs to change the product description. If you are looking for a unifying receiver to work with other logitech products, don't buy this.Update - Amazon sent me a replacement, and this time it comes with Unifying receiver. UPC and product ID printed on the boxes are identical, packagings are slightly different. One has "Unifying receiver" clearly printed on the box and feature list and the other one doesn't.http://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-media/product-gallery/B00BP5KOPA/ref=cm_cr_dp_cust_img_see_all_img0Keyboards and mice are also different. One set both have orange star unifying on the label and the other set don't. Product IDs are different too.

Nice keyboard, but problems with some keys and poor tech support from Logitech
November 6, 2017
Overall I like the design of this keyboard, but there is a problem with the left-side Ctrl and Shift keys remaining actuated after my fingers are no longer touching them. The keys come back up, but it's as if they're still down. I've found that tapping sharply on the key that's electrically stuck resolves the problem temporarily, but it's a nuisance to have to do that as frequently as I do. I reported the problem to Logitech's tech support on their website, and while they've acknowledged the report, they haven't replied to the ticket yet, and it's been over three weeks. I'd rate it higher if the company supported their products, but when it takes them over three weeks to even respond, I have to assume there is not going to be any useful support from them.

June 21, 2017
Worked great for the first couple of months. Then my K key kept messing up and I had to literally pound on it to get it to work. I even took the K key out to clean it and there is nothing stuck or broken. Wasn't able to return the product through amazon & cannot reach anyone at the company to resolve my issue. smh
Keyboard laaaaaaaaags....
December 3, 2016
This would have been a pretty good set if not for the keyboard lag. If I haven't used the keyboard for a minute or two and I start to type it freezes for about 10 seconds and then about half the characters show up all at once. I've tried every usb port, extensions cables, different receivers, even set the keyboard about a foot from the receiver and nothing helps. This seems to be a known issue with the keyboard and I've read through many discussions with no solutions. Regardless, its extremely annoying and makes it virtually unusable. The mouse works fine and I've got 3 other wireless logitech keyboards that work just fine.
Too laggy
November 27, 2015
the design of the keyboard is so nice, the buttons aren't loud and they are shallow like an apple keyboard so it takes less effort to press the button all the way. The mouse is a good weight, its a bit large for my tiny hands but it's ok. I've always liked wireless things because it helps keep my desk clean. The problem with this is that it glitches out sometimes and the mouse lags and the keys don't even register. Normally I would just deal with it since it doesn't happen ALL the time and the glitches last for a few minutes or so. But, I play computer games where its very important to click and press the keys at very specific moments. and if my keyboard is messing up while i'm playing, then I will miss the shot and both my teammates and I will get frustrated.Anyway, the mk combo is fine if you're just using it for daily activities, but its not good for gaming and such. i'm buying a wired keyboard and a different mouse to replace them soon.
Too slow if you type fast. Gobbles batteries by the boxful.
October 24, 2014
I do programming for a living and also run a few businesses and so I routinely spend 10-12 hours per day on my computer. This combo works pretty well if I'm not doing any complex keyboard and mouse key combinations, but when I do the latter, it responds too slowly and my programs do something other than what I had intended. For example, left-clicking the mouse and dragging to select and copy a block of text into the clipboard, followed quickly by a right click to paste often pastes the prior version of what was in the clipboard. In my opinion, this combo is horrid for doing programming.I had originally thought it was just my own dexterity or getting accustomed to a new keyboard to blame, but I talked to other programmers and they told me that they have had similar problems with wireless combos. So I'm back on a wired keyboard and mouse (dinosaurs) after a frustrating 6 months using this combo.I have no idea how somebody gets a year's life out of batteries for this combo. Is it based on somebody coming home from work and checking email for 10 minutes every couple of days? I must change keyboard batteries in both the keyboard and mouse every two or three weeks. I've gone through more than $10 worth of batteries in 6 months! Over a 4 year lifetime, my total cost for batteries would be on the order of $80 and with a $35 cost for the keyboard and mouse, that's a $115 for the total cost of ownership for the combo!
Deadbeat company with shaky warranty fulfillment - atrocious customer svc
September 22, 2014
After the keyboard started failing, I contacted Logitech Tech Support (in some far off land, apparently) and they were just a waste of my time. After the initial troubleshooting, tech support determined my keyboard was defective and that they will need to send me a replacement as I am under warranty. Tech Support made me go through all kinds of hoops (finding and emailing them purchase receipt, trying the keyboard on different computer, removing/re-installing software, etc.) Well almost 4 weeks later, I am still waiting for my warranty replacement. I've emailed and called numerous times to find out what is going on only to get apologies or for my call to be disconnected. The techs and "supervisors" (not sure if you ever get connected to a REAL supervisor) put you on hold constantly and come back with random excuses. Their escalation point is worse than regular tech support and offer no timelines on when a warranty will be fulfilled.LOGITECH - Please don't advertise warranty when you have no intention of providing a timely replacement.

Headphone jack broke off inside unit!
September 19, 2017
The headphone (speaker) output was erratic. When I tried to change the cable the jack broke off inside the unit. It appears that this product is real junk. Other people complained about the adio output so this is a common problem.
Slow, buggy, unreliable
November 22, 2016
I connect my Dell XPS 13 laptop to the docking station which I then connect to a keyboard, Ethernet and a monitor. I have found that there is a very long lag between the laptop and the monitor. Often, only one of the two screens will work or they go black for a minute and then come back on. The mouse lags also when I have the laptop plugged into the docking station and it is fine when I unplug it. I recommended the Plugable docking station to friends, but now I deeply regret it.
Glorified Paperweight
November 15, 2016
I have tried every "solution" on their support page, and NONE of the USB ports work. Not a single one. This is pretty much useless, because all I've been able to successfully do is connect my monitor through the hub, but given that I can't connect anything else, there's no point in having the device when I could just connect a monitor directly.
Failed for me
June 3, 2016
Failed for me. Hate is too strong of a word for this, as I have a few items from Pluggable that work just fine. This thing would not stay connected at all with my two external monitors and don't even try plugging multiple external drives into it. Well, at least WD 2TB passport USB 3 drives. My other Pluggable unit works just fine as was 1/3 the cost and 1/25 the size of this unit as well as unpowered. I wanted the powered unit to take the stress off the USB ports on my system, But alas, poor Yorick, it was not to be. so, had to return this one.
Horrible product - Horrible customer service

Another crappy port replicator, second one I have tried, made it a few days longer than a month, and now no longer returnable. I use it with an HP Omen and the LG ultrawide, was able to make it work after all the driver install for the 2560x1080 wide screen, but the display stopped displaying through HDMI, I now have to plug in directly, defeting the entire purpose of the docking station

This monitor power has a problem. I bought this 5 months ago. Worked fine for two month, then monitor stopped working. I called HP support. Cheap piece of junk, mouse didn't work at setup, right-click doesn't work to copy and paste
June 12, 2017
This is a cheap piece of junk. The keyboard feels cheap, but that was not the issue. At installation, the mouse didn't work. After installing new batteries and other troubleshooting, I tried a different USB port and it finally connected. Should have worked in any of the ports. Biggest issue for me is the right click to copy and paste doesn't work MOST of the time - very frustrating. Mouse feels cheap too. Logged in to Amazon to return and see that I missed the return window by a few days. After reading reviews today, I see that there a lot of complaints that are very recent, like mine. Makes me think we all got counterfeit products. Irritated that I cannot return and get my money back.
11 months and 18 days of use and it stopped working
June 2, 2017
Simply disappointing: 11 months and 18 days of use and it simply stopped working. From good to dead and no; it is not the batteries.
Only worked for a few months
April 30, 2017
Oh the irony... here I am, trying to write this review of this product, while using this product and the keyboard stalls (as usual) and my words come out as a jumbled mess. I really wanted to like this keyboard/mouse combo, given the glowing reviews left by other customers. I bought it and it worked well for about three months, and then totally stopped working. OK, so maybe I got a lemon. I contacted customer service and they sent me a new one, no problem. Well, it's been one month and the new one is only working intermittently. Bummer. The words I type in don't appear for 10 seconds sometimes. When I move the mouse, it jumps and jerks around the screen, and it's hard to select what I want to click on. So while the keyboard and mouse both look and feel nice, they really don't work very well. You know what they say -- you get what you pay for! Wish I had spent my money on something more reliable/higher quality.
Keyboard cuts out- Poor Quality
April 11, 2017
Terrible. The mouse works fine, but the keyboard cuts out often. I'll be typing and suddenly, nothing's happening. Its not the computer as the mouse and applications continue to work. I use it daily and without fail, it stops working multiple times each day, sometimes for a few minutes at a time. It is incredibly frustrating, so much so that I dug my old wired keyboard out of the donate pile and am using that instead. Does not work consistently.
Don't buy.
March 15, 2017
The mouse has NEVER worked. I have contacted them numerous times, they give pages of instructions as if I have not already unplug, tried in new USBs, changed to new batteries, worked a couple days to get the keyboard before getting it to work. Weeks later and they still won't ship me a new one. I've worked with computer since 1976 probably longer than they have been alive. SAVE YOUR MONEY!, DON'T BUY
Mouse turns off at random
November 8, 2016
I am extremely disappointed. This is the first Logitech product I've used that I have not been satisfied with. I own a Logitech webcam, wireless keyboard/trackpad, speakers, and prior to purchasing this set, I had a wired Logitech keyboard and another wireless Logitech mouse. I purchased this set as a Gold Box deal to replace those (the tabs on the wired keyboard had broken off over the years, and the wireless mouse's dongle no longer worked).Initially, this set worked great. However, about a month ago, the following occurred:The mouse, even with a brand new Duracell Quantum battery in it (chosen as the Sweethome's #1 disposable battery) will occasionally turn off. The only way to make it function again is either A. take the battery out of of, put it back in; B. turn the mouse off and on again; or C, unplug the dongle and plug it back it. This is very frustrating, as this can happen several times across the span of a few minutes. It is too late to try to return this product, but I'm going to look into a refund and purchase a different Logitech keyboard/mouse combo. To reiterate, Logitech makes wonderful, high quality products. I believe I either got a defect, or this product altogether is not up to par.

Terrible. I have tried this keyboard/mouse on 2 PCs ...
August 26, 2017
Terrible. I have tried this keyboard/mouse on 2 PCs and it ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS loses connection and responds sluggishly, even when the USB receiver is two feet away! Even while typing this review the characters often are sluggish to appear on screen or don't appear at all. My previous keyboard/mouse combo worked great, but the keys were rubbing off so I got this new one. I've had good luck with Logitech products before but this is just awful. I just went to return this and discovered I was a few days past the return window.
Mine was defective, returned.
May 16, 2017
Did not work. the "e" worked maybe 1 out of 10 times. The mouse was okay. Return was easy. Moved up to the 800 which is more expensive, but works well and has 2 other features: (1) it will recharge off the computer and (2) it is backlit. Logitech Performance Combo MX800 Wireless Keyboard/Mouse
Stopped working after 29 days of use
May 5, 2017
Initially the keyboard was perfect for my traditional office needs such as Excel, Outlook, and Word. I don't require a super fast refresh rate, so this more entry-level keyboard mouse combo seemed right for me. And it was - for the first 29 days I owned it, then BAM. Both the keyboard and the mouse suddenly developed such extensive lags that they could be deemed unusable. I wish I had not just relied on the reviews, because when I searched for a fix, I found that hundreds of people had experienced the very same thing. Uninstall drivers, reinstall drivers, change out batteries, move the USB connection, restart. Nothing is working to correct the problem.
Left mouse button doubles clicks all by itself instead of one click.
March 10, 2017
Although the mouse and keyboard work very well, I'm now having problems with the mouse. It's set for double click on the left and the PC is acting as though it's double clicked even though I didn't. I've tried changing batteries and adjusting the response time to as slow as allowed to no avail. Changing the primary button from left to right and the right button seems to work fine. I didn't think you could wear out a button after only 7 months. Anyone else have a similar problem?
The first week was good. After that
October 6, 2015
I purchased this prior to my trip to South Korea so I wouldn't have to deal with picking one up there. The first week was good. After that, the mouse was acting as if the batteries were low. That wasn't the problem. Next, the keyboard wouldn't function correctly all the time. Some keys wouldn't register. So at first I just switched the mice. Then the keyboard got unbearable. So now back to my other keyboard and mouse. No problems. I am so disgusted with this I wanted to return it immediately. Unfortunately, since I'm in Korea the cost to ship it back would be more than the product. Normally I'm a Logitech fan, but now when I look for products I look away from them. Not a fair reason, but it was just too disappointing.
Good basic keyboard with standard navigation key layout; becoming chintzy-feeling over months of light use
July 6, 2014
Update after several months of light usage: Subtracted stars, because the keys are becoming sticky - not sticky as in they get stuck or feel gooey, but sticky as in it feels like plastic rubbing hard on plastic when pressing a key, and over time it gets harder and unpleasant. I've had excellent long-term luck with most Logitech input devices...not this one! Also, the overall build is starting to loosen up and feel super-chintzy. Felt good when brand new. But I have other keyboards over ten years old that still feel amazing. They keys are laid out well. Meaning, "standard" PC. Well, except for missing a menu key, and a right Windows key. I suppose that could be a real bummer for some folks. But, I use KeyTweak (in Windows - or custom scripts in Linux) to map all my function keys around anyway (to be more mac-like), so it's not a problem for me.Comfortable for long typing.Drawback: long key throws. Not "chicklet" style like notebooks or mac keyboards.
