Absolutely Fantastic
May 16, 2015
I absolutely love this phone. I've had Android smartphones and they were okay. The windows 8.1 phone is so much better. I know a lot of people hate windows 8.1 but I am a big fan and think it's fantastic. I loved Windows 7 for a long time but went to Linux for years. When I first saw the new windows 8 I didn't even want to try it. But I recently bought a laptop with windows 8.1 and I fell in love and even bought it for my Desktop. I can do so much more than I ever could with Linux or windows 7. So the next step was to get a windows 8 phone and I'm so glad I did. With a microsoft account and linking it with my phone, I can sync my contacts and settings and not worry about losing what took a long time to set things up the way I like it. The touch screen is so responsive and it only takes a couple of taps to get to where you want to go. The speed dial feature is awesome, the visual voicemail is awesome, and the volume is wonderful for those of us getting older and having a hard time hearing. This is the first phone I've actually been able to use with the speaker phone option. I got a phone with Senior mode on it and I could hear phone calls just fine with the phone to my ear but still couldn't use the speaker phone feature. With this phone on the highest volume of 10 it is sometimes too LOUD. And the volume for music goes to 30. I can read my kindle books, watch Netflix if I want to and so much more. You can even download an app that lets you project it to a bigger screen like a TV because I have my laptop connected to my TV with HDMI. I just can't say enough about this great phone and believe me I've owned a lot of cell phones. You also can't beat the price.
Excellent phone!

I have to say that I wasn't expecting such a nice quality phone having been an iPhone user for the past few years. This phone is great though! It has a nice screen, is quick and responsive, and battery life seems better than my iPhone 5. Considering the cost difference between the two, the Lumia is much better. While the Microsoft Store doesn't have all the apps like Apple, you can likely get by - especially due to the integration of Microsoft Office and OneDrive with the phone. And the best part is I can still use it with my AT&T GoPhone 10 cents per minute voice only plan. My old GoPhone had a standard SIM card, and when I received this phone with a Micro SIM card, I just called AT&T GoPhone support and they moved by balance right over to the new SIM over the phone. No trip to the store needed! Now I have a smart phone that costs 10 cents per minute for voice calls, has no cell data access (which costs too much anyway), and the phone gets all the data it needs from my home wi-fi or other access points as needed. Overall, it's a great phone at an incredible purchase price and even better monthly recurring price if you're a light cell phone user.
Awesome Phone!!!

I cracked the screen on my Lumia 830 so I bought this as a backup. Boy, am I impressed! So the camera is not as good as the 830's and it doesn't have a flash or a front facing camera, but for its price you can't beat this phone! The Lumia Selfie app resolves the lack of front facing camera, and even without the flash this camera (5MP) takes decent pictures. Windowsphone is a really cool OS and it grows on you if you give it a chance. Really wish Devs would support it better. I also think this the perfect size, not too big, not too small. The back shell comes out and you can buy different color ones for about $10. The green shell is pretty rocking I think. Almost forgot, the battery life on this thing is AMAZING!
LOVE IT!

I broke my Lumia 920 screen and wanted to replace it with an Android or iOS device, but then most of them are ridiculously expensive. And this Lumia 635 "gophone", I can just pop in my exisitng SIM card and started to use it right away. It sync'd all my apps and settings automatically (it was surprising) too.No 2-year contract to buy phones for the discount price, and if I get 2-year contract, I lose other discount. At the end, either 2 year contract or not, almost it seems I have to pay the full price anyway. These days cell phones for $500~$900 and replace every 2-3 years, and they don't last more than 2-3 years. It doesn't make sense to me to buy highend phones. This phone is affordable ($50) and very good quality. It has limited memory (8GB), but adding 32GB SD card and I can run apps from the card easily. So internal memory is not a problem, unlike other phones (iOS or Android). And moving apps to SD card is very easy. Before Windows Phone 8.1, the new UI is nice, but it lacked many features, but with 8.1, it's great. I love WP interface. I have both iOS and Android phones, and iPads, android tablets. I use Mac, Windows and Linux as well. iPhone battery lasts longest and very well built -- best quality, but way too expensive. Android device problem is the memory. Most of apps don't run from SD card so large internal memory is necessary which pushes up the price.Lumia 635 battery lasts longer than Lumia 920, and it's very durable, and with the cheap case+screen protector I bought on Amazon(E-Time, $6 for case AND screen protector), it feels really durable. Lumia 920 was very nice, but it was heavy, the metal case was slippery, and the battery didn't last long.I really really like this phone and I'm extremely happy with it.Downsides are:- no camera light. I rarely used the light anyway, so I don't miss it much, except the fact that I could use it as a flash light.- no sensor for brightness. You have to manually adjust the setting. It's easy to do, and not too much hassle though.- no compass sensor. Not an issue for me, and GPS works fine (GPS doesn't require compass sensor), but some apps may not work that requires compass.- no front facing camera. I don't take selfies, but take photos of my kids, so this is not a problem. When I purchased Lumia 920 about 2-3 years ago, there weren't too many apps, but now it has tons of great apps. And most of "essential" apps like facebooks, linkedin, etc are all there and tons of games as well.Compare to other phones, I love these three features (app specific):- Offline map. Maps can be downloaded and can be used offline. Very fast, and I don't have to worry about the connection or data usage.- Music app that I can download (offline music) and listen for free. I can't select songs for the free music, but it's not a problem -- I can listen to billbaord chart or classical music collection.- Radio. It has built-in FM radio.Lumia 530 is even cheaper (but smaller screen), but it's $30. Even w/o the phone service, you can use it as a GPS device and emergency 911 call, and games, music, etc.UPDATE: 2015-03-04I've been using it for a while, and here are some updates:- I wish the camera has higher resolution, but for this price, I guess it's ok. I took many videos and photos of my kids. They look fine on facebook/web, but it's not high resolution that you can print and frame it.- I did once needed a flash light, but I used the phone screen instead and it was bright enough for me at that time. I should look for an app that make the front screen all white+bright to use it as flash light. I remember iOS has such apps.- I don't know if it's the phone or career, a few times, the caller on the other end complained that my voice was choppy.- I have iOS headset with mic -- the mic didn't work with Lumia 920, but it works with this phone.
An Electronic Swiss-Army Knife at an Extremely Bargain Price!

Firstly: Wow! I don't think I had low expectations even considering the low prices at Amazon and that's because, looking at the Reviews here and the apparent selling out on Amazon (and other online places), I guessed a very good phone. But would it be a 'very good phone for the price' or a 'very good phone' on its own? The answer to that is a resounding extremely good phone for the price and a very good phone on its own.Anyway is my Review:1) Got it delivered yesterday from Amazon. I put in my postpaid/contract Nokia Lumia 920's SIM inside. The phone worked right away--no APN changes.2) Logged into Windows Live and, in about 90 minutes, all my 'apps' were transferred/install from Lumia 920 to this Lumia 635. That ate up most of my 8 gb storage though--but I can and will get an SD card.3) Downloaded Nokia maps (free) for the US Southeast states and tested 'offline' navigation by going to a place 7 miles from the house. While the experience was not 100% Garmin-like it was more than adequate: Re-routing, over-speed alerts, and voice-based navigation all worked to pin-point perfection through quite a circuitous route I deliberately took. This phone can be your completely FREE GPS device if you use Wifi to download maps and don't have any cell plan.4) The battery lasted hours into late night until I plugged it in before going to bed. And at this time, at work, the battery drain is about 15% after moderate web usage, text etc--about 5 hours of usage so far.5) Camera quality is not too bad--***see my uploaded picture**. I am going to miss the LED flash of Nokia 920 though.6) AT&T's LTE is working fine--I have used speedtest 'app' to record both upload/download speeds of 17mbps!!7) Call quality is adequate. Speakers to play music is adequate.8) Windows Phone 8.1 is a great OS! I am very impressed by the performance on such a low-end hardware and am very impressed that the 'settings' from my Nokia Lumia 920's faithfully duplicating on this new phone. In short, despite the phone's shortcomings (no LED, no front facing camera, and relatively fewer 'apps') this phone can be your phone, your camera, your GPS device, your alarm clock, your wifi hotspot, your mp3 and video player, and with literally hundreds of thousands of 'apps' you will find plenty of ways to make other uses from this phone.I really can't say there are any 'negatives' about this phone! I may not replace my $480 Nokia Lumia 920 because of the camera-quality difference but this phone is a stronger contender to become my main, almost 'disposable' but extremely useful electronic Swiss Army Knife!**Update 15 Dec. 2014** Still using and loving this phone. In fact, just ordered another one for my wife to replace her Lumia 520 as her Christmas Present!**
Can't beat the price.

I bought three of these for the kids. Where else can you get a smart phone for 100 bucks. Can't beat it. The only drawback is the camera but none of my kids are into picture taking. They use it for everything. I wanted to upgrade their messaging phones without signing up for a two year contract or paying $400-500 per phone. I picked these up and added them to my ATT account without any trouble. I switched to the family share plan and knocked my phone bill from $215 to $149 month.

Best screen protectors EVER!
January 7, 2016
So normally I'm not a screen protector person, I can't stand how they get bubbly and start peeling at the edges. However, I am super impressed by these, so much so that I decided to write a review. (which I've done before) I had originally got these for my husbands phone because unlike me he is super strict about having a screen protector, but hates having to cut them to size. So when I found these I was like cool one less hassle to worry about but after I put it on my husbands phone I was so impressed I applied it to my own. It doesn't glare like others do and you can hardly even tell its there! its been 2 months and still no bubbles or edge folds. I didn't watch the instruction video either, it was honestly pretty simple to figure out on my own. I would 100% recommend these to anybody with the Nokia Lumia they're phenomenal! 😊
but after watching the video this one was very easy to apply and went on almost flawlessly
December 7, 2015
This company has an online video showing you how to apply this to your phone. I have never had much success in putting shields on my phones in the past and usually needed to have it done for me, but after watching the video this one was very easy to apply and went on almost flawlessly. It only had 2 bubbles which where easily removed with the tools supplied with the shield. Amazing!
Good Stuff
February 8, 2015
Nice protector. Also, they have a great short tutorial video on how to apply it and what to do if dust gets in. Recommended.
A Superior Product
November 4, 2014
Absolutely the best screen protector system I have ever used. I have always had problems with dust under the screen protector in the past, and just did the best I could and learned to live with it (which always drove me nuts). Mr Shield gives you the ability to remove any dust trapped during installation. Love that! Comes with an anti-static screen wipe, dust collectors (to help clean screen before installing), removing tapes (used to lift the edge of the screen protector and to slide under the protector to remove dust), and a smoothing card (to remove bubbles). The matte finish cuts down on screen glare and protector does not interfere with responsiveness of the touch screen, nor the brightness of the screen. It is supposed to be scratch resistant, but only time will tell about that. Since you get 3 in the package, these should last a good long time. And nobody can complain about a lifetime replacement warranty!! If I had to nit-pick about anything, it's that installation instructions are not in the package, but online. The instructions are a little video that explains everything you need to do to have a flawless installation. While this is a minor inconvenience, the benefit is step by step instruction on getting it right the first time. With a large selection for almost any device, I'll never use anything else!
Five stars with some reservations
October 29, 2014
With every new mobile gadget, there comes the need for a new screen protector. I carry my phone in a pocket full of coins and keys and I can not imagine using it without a screen protector. Since there are plenty of different brands but not a single brand makes screen protectors for all new devices, every time I buy these protectors it is from a different company. But almost all are the same with very similar package contents, installation guides and the level of protection they offer. This one is not much different either.First of all it works okay and is easy to install. Therefore I rate it five stars, but after in depth analysis and comparing it with the previous protectors I had, I have to say that I have some reservations on this rating:Pros:-Fits well (not covers the entire screen but covers 99.9% which is a good thing since the protectors that aim to cover everywhere are very difficult to fit and the edges are real problem.) This one got on in a simple one time try.-Bubbles are not nightmare. Again, some models get bubbles in and are almost impossible to remove. This is not one of them. With the little tool they send it took me less than 30 seconds to remove every single bubble.-Anti glare is working fine. Most anti-glare claims are not translating to reality in the world of screen protectors but this is really working okay.-It is not a finger print magnet. The texture is not the smoothest and I guess that is why it does not show fingerprints on. A real plus on my side.-Relatively okay value for money. Not the cheapest but not the most expensive either. I think it is OK priced.Cons:-Lacks an instruction manual. Actually there is an instruction manual but it is not about how to install but about how to write a review on amazon. Installation is left to a website link (which is okay but still not very handy)-The screen cleaner, they sent is like a joke. Before installation, you need to remove dust and grease and make your screen look like just out of factory. There you need a microfiber cloth which is normally provided in the package. This one has something like that too but the least quality disposable one and it did not help me clean anything. I had to use one of the existing lens cleaner clothes I had.-It is a little on the matte side in terms of texture and clarity. I have seen crystal clear ones which you don't notice at all, this is not one of them. I don't want to be bold on this claim but there may be a very slight decrease in the image quality and may be some grainy appearance added but again it is very minimal and besides that it probably why it does not get fingerprint smears as much as the other one so both a pro and a cons.-The additional dust remover sticker is too strong and should be used as the last option since it may leave some marks behind on the screen which can be more troublesome to remove. A microfiber cloth in a stable indoor environment (not much air circulation) is all you need for the dusts. In conclusion, I liked the fact that it worked flawlessly and was not a pain to get it working. I still have two more in case the one I put gets scratched over time. There were times I had to send back screen protectors, compared to those experiences this is a smooth one and therefore I rate them with 5 stars. But as I said I have some reservations and I hope the manufacturers are reading this review and take it as constructive feedback towards better products in the future
Perfect installations with the greatest of ease...
August 12, 2014
These screen protectors provide the best initial results I've ever seen. I meticulously install my device screen protectors with conditions and care that would rival a neonatal brain surgeon...but there always seems to be at least one renegade piece of dust that finds its way between my screen and the film. Mr. Shield has developed a process and includes some handy tools to allow for perfect installations, including a special film to remove dust after cleaning with the standard miniature cloth that most kits come with. Also included are a pack of sticky tabs that allow for pulling the film back and removing any dust that becomes stuck between the screen and the film during installation. All of this, on top of a very affordable price tag; I have no complaints, and was happy enough to dedicate 8 minutes of my life to adding a product review. I don't know how long the screen protectors will last...I can only comment on the installation so for.

This was a wonderful purchase in my opinion.
December 8, 2015
For only $29.99 this phone is awesome. I have no complaints about the physical size or shape of the phone. I have no real complaints about the phone at all. It has some really nice apps preinstalled especially for GPS navigation. I like that the maps are downloadable through wifi and usable offline. The only thing I wish was that more apps were available through windows. I definitely like the idea of windows being used on all my devices, phone, tablet, computer, it makes it so much nicer an easier. And when the windows 10 operating systems are available for phones it will be even more sleek. The next thing I wish this phone provided was a internal compass. Not having the compass makes the GPS a little less accurate and not as responsive. Also some apps require the internal compass in order to work, and I have already noticed several apps will not download because of it. But it's not that big of a deal especially for the price.
Good, basic phone for the price.
November 8, 2015
This is a very user friendly, (so far) reliable phone for the price with some nice but very limited "smart phone" features, just keep in mind that it runs off of a Microsoft Operating System. (Microsoft bought out Nokia last year) which limits you to the number of apps this phone can support since the majority of mobile phone apps run off of the android OS developed by Google, something I didn't realized until AFTER I bought the phone! (I think this is why the phone is being sold for such a great price at the moment.) For the price, I can see why its the #1 rated no contract phone (at the time I bought it on Amazon). For me at least I found it to be extremely user friendly. I did discover that there is a Windows app (beta) for Instagram, and you can download this from the phone through the "store" icon for free (thank you Microsoft and Google for cooperating on this!). However, the camera shutter speed on the camera is soooo slow! I bought it for basic calling for the most part. There are several pre-paid plan options you can buy which is explained in the literature that comes in the package. Set up was easy, you get your phone number assigned to you following the set up prompts. I chose the unlimited talk for $30.00 a month plan, way better than the $150 per month I was paying when I had my Blackberry with a contract plan that I was stuck with for two years. Unfortunately, there is no plan under $30 and I found that I didn't use up all my minutes with that plan. But you can buy a pre-paid Go Phone card from retail stores (grocery stores etc.) with $15 amounts that you can also use to top off your minutes. A month to month data plan is extra (my son has a no contract unlimited call and data plan with Virgin Mobile for $35!). You can upgrade at any time to include a data plan for using the internet, social media apps etc.(just keep in mind, your apps will be limited to those that run off of the Microsoft OS) If you have a wireless modem in your house, you can use it to connect to the internet without a data plan, which is convenient (I could read my Kindle books through the app this way). I think the screen size is pretty decent (of course I would have loved to have had a larger screen size but I didn't think it was worth the extra cost and the contract I'd be stuck in to buy one). I have large hands so I was pleased to see that the numbers on the dial pad are large enough for me to use without difficulty, and it doesn't feel like its made from a lot of cheap materials. The phone itself actually looks quite beautiful but the home page isn't that impressive looking, typical boring Microsoft Windows interface, however, when it goes into energy saving mode there is a really nice screen saver. The one thing that has bugged me is that when you are using an app like Instagram, if you aren't constantly using your fingers to swipe across the screen it bounces you back to the home page interface (very irritating), not sure if there is a way to change that. Since this phone is made by Nokia, I hope it lasts, however, these phones are no longer made in Finland (all I could determine is that the parts are made in Asia). I did buy a warranty for it though which lasts two years. It only comes with one recharger (wish there were two, my last Go Phone charger became damaged and the cost to replace it was the same cost as the phone which is why I had to buy this one and thus my decision to buy the warranty). It is leap years ahead from the first generation Go Phone that I bought when they first came out, and I got this for $10 less than what I had paid for my first phone which was a very cheap clam shell type phone with no capabilities other than calling. I hope this review helps anyone who is thinking about buying this phone.
Nice phone except for one important thing.
May 12, 2015
I was a little upset that this Nokia smart phone was missing a feature that my older un-smart Nokia phone had which is the red glowing LED light indicating a missed call that stayed glowing off and on until you attended to it.Other than that, I like the phone a lot! Indeed worth $46!! The sim card in my other phone was too big to fit this one, so the AT&T store got me up and running (same account, same phone number) with the sim that came with this phone .A few things I discovered about this phone:1. You can see the screen in sunlight with the brightness setting on high.2. You can purchase a USB cable that fits the phone and copy files from computer to the phone. I used that feature to create a few notes to a text file on my computer, then copied the file to the phone for quick look up on some of the phone functions (I'm forgetful). If you want to see all the functions in this phone and how to operate them before you buy it (huge index), just paste the following address in a browser for the AT&T Nokia_Lumia_635 pdf manual at: http://www.att.com/support_static_files/manuals/Nokia_Lumia_635.pdf3. If you have a lot of contacts from your old phone and don't have an online sync account, it's going to be hair pulling trying to put them all in using the tiny keyboard in the phone. Much quicker to create a free Microsoft Account. and easily type them in at https://people.live.com/ using your computer keyboard. You can then hit the sync link on the phone to download them to your phone's contact list in one whack. When you get a call within ear shot of the phone and it's from a contact you put in, the phone will loud speak the name of the contact several times that's calling.4. The online data will burn a hole in your Go Phone balance quick. To prevent this, there are settings in the phone to switch data off, and WI-FI on to get the data free to your phone.5. The Cortana feature is nice! When you verbally ask her a question, it's automatically becomes typed in at the bottom as you talk. That lets you see if spelling is flowing correctly in order to be understood by Cortana. Ask her anything (weather forecast, etc) , in a few seconds she'll get back with the info and inform you verbally! I think she will actually do task for you like typing in stuff.6. The camera takes sharp pictures and the video camera makes clear sharp movies with good sound quality at a distance. Can copy the movies to your computer and watch them on the big screen. There is a lot more stuff the phone does like amber alerts, weather alerts, etc .. I just wished it had that glowing missed call light.
Great phone for the basics
January 5, 2015
I bought this phone because my previous phone would stop receiving text messages from time to time. I looked on Amazon for a GoPhone and this is the first that came up. Looked at the reviews and they said that it does what it is intended to do (text, call, internet). I came from an Android phone so I am used to pretty much going on the app store and getting anything I wanted because the app store is huge. On the Android phone, I would pretty much call, text, play minor games, Snapchat, twitter and Instagram and check email. This phone has the ability to everything that I want it to but somethings are limited. Snapchat is a third-party software that in my opinion, sucks compared to the actual but it gets the job done.Twitter and Instagram are great.Email kinda sucks as well. I mostly use Gmail and there are apps on the app store but they are third party and I am not comfortable giving my email and password to someone that isn't Google or "name brand." The Windows email is not that great. I get the email but there are no folders like Gmail has such as, Primary, advertisement or even a spam folder. It is all just one big folder. There is no organizing at all. Something that was nice on my Android phone was that I would only get notification if it was a Primary email. But with Windows, I get a notification every time I get an email.Bottom line of the phone is that it gets the job done and it beats having to go buy a $300 phone from ATT for $600+.
A Great 4G/LTE Phone for the Money
December 14, 2014
This is a great phone for the money. Here are the pro's and con's.Pro:- Great 4G/LTE reception with AT&T. (You can use it with regular AT&T service, just take it in to AT&T and they will activate it.)- Windows 8 phone is a decent and stable operating system which has real potential. (See cons below.)- Lumia app map/traffic directions that come with the phone are very good.- Screen is good. It has a few issues in direct, bright sunlight.- Phone performance and build have been very good for me.- It survived a 4 foot drop to an asphalt surface with no damage. (It was in a Transformer Case.)Cons:- The apps available for the phone from the Windows app store are EXTREMELY, EXTREMELY limited.- Cortana is ok, but if you ask "What is the score of the hockey game between St. Louis and the Colorado Avalanche", the best Cortana can do is bring up a website for one of the teams. Google will give you the score of the game by voice.- The camera is passable as a 5mp camera but the pictures are more like a 3mp camera. There is no front facing camera. There is NO flash.I paid 70 dollars for the phone but it has been selling for as low as 40 bucks. At this price for a 4G/LTE phone, it is worth it. I must admit that the Windows App Store is the biggest drawback to this phone.Other inexpensive phones to consider for AT&T: HTC 610 Desire (Android). If you like using the Google Chrome and Android apps, the HTC 610 Desire or the HTC One M7 may be the phone for you.
Quite surprised
December 8, 2014
I swapped the SIM out of my iPhone 4s to see what this device was capable of...and I am surprised at the results. First, I had set my expectations pretty low; I knew there would be apps missing from the store and I knew I would be giving up some integration with my laptop and iPad. A week in and I easily have 85% functionality at a FRACTION of the price. I am simply amazed at the price performance ratio of the Lumia 635. The performance is comparable to that of my iPhone 4s - that is to say it does feel a little slow when using some apps. The biggest issue with the device itself is the screen showing fingerprints. That was easily resolved using the Mr. Shield matte screen protectors. Otherwise, I've been pleased with the size, weight and battery performance. As for the apps, the weakest link is the standard email app and the Nokia Drive app is simply amazing. This device is worth the money just to use it as a GPS in your car...forget the Garmin. The email app on the other hand needs some love and care. You can only do two tasks easily with a mail message: reply or delete. Any other action requires three taps or more. Google handles my email and it would be cool to Archive and Move messages more easily.I plan on evaluating an Android device in the future, but for now this has replaced my iPhone. I considered an iPhone 5 but looking into the future, I already know the iPhone 6's are both too big for my (and my wife's) taste. Given that, we are looking at other options.

Installed on a Nokia Lumia 635 (GREAT phone by the way).4 stars star due to I wish it fit just a bit better (larger) to cover the entire screen. The way the phone case has an edge on it though I understand where that might make it hard to install perfectly.INSTALLWatch the video, watch it a couple times. It isn't hard at all, just a bit of patience.I also cleaned my screen with a wet screen wipe (not included), then I used their included dry cleaning cloth. Screen was as clean as brand new.Laying down the film was not difficult, I actually got a bit out of line on the bottom cutout for the mic, it was easy to use one of their included "cleaning strips" to pull it back up and realign. When I realigned I got a little dust back on the screen, no problem they have a good way to deal with that.Working out the bubbles wasn't hard, just patience. They have a protective film for top of screen cover, peel that off before you deal with dust. FITLike I said, personally I would like it to be just a bit larger, but it fits very good and the cutouts line up where they are supposed to.APPEARANCEThis one is the antiglare, I'm going to order the other model (Clear) and see how it looks, maybe swap out when the mood changes.Positive of antiglare is, well reduced glare, and zero finger prints. The glare reduction is very good, no reflection at all and it helps seeing screen in brighter rooms or sunlight.Negative of antiglare is it does seem to make the screen just a wee bit dim and a tiny bit of reduction in sharpness. Not a ton mind you but I did notice a bit.PERFORMANCEJust installed today so don't know yet about longevity.Works perfectly with touch and swipe functions.I do like the texture and feel.PRICEI feel product is worth amount paid.OVERALLI would buy again.
good for cutting out glare
January 29, 2015
i previously purchased mr shield for my nokia 635 & had trouble putting them on my phone. i ruined all 3. i decided to try again with the non-glare shields. the first one i put on looked good with just about 4 or 5 pin-head sized dust bubbles near the top i tried taking them out but got more bubbles (not dust). after getting the new bubbles out i decided to leave well enough alone since the dust bubbles were at the top.the reason i purchased the non-glare shield was because on sunny days, its hard to see the screen. all i see is my relection. the non-glare shield works pretty good & cuts down on the glare quite a lot.. it darkens the screen a little but at least i dont see my own relection on the sreen anymore.
It may be more than the other protectors out there (Also cheaper than others too) but it is really great in terms of scratch
January 7, 2015
This screen protector was well worth the investment. It may be more than the other protectors out there (Also cheaper than others too) but it is really great in terms of scratch, smug, and anti-glare proof. It is easy to apply, I just followed one of the YouTube videos since it was my first time putting it on and the bubbles were easy to take away. The product gives you all the tools that you need so overall it is a really great product. The only reason why it didn't get five stars is because it doesn't go all the way to the edges of the phone. However, it is fine for me because once I put my phone case on the open areas were no longer visible.
Super easy to install but wish I'd ordered the clear version.
January 7, 2015
I usually dread installing screen protectors, but these were super easy to install. I think the tiny cloth that's included might be treated with an anti-static chemical because I didn't have the usual problem with dust during installation. The screen protectors are slightly smaller than the glass, so it helps if you clean your phone first and then practice positioning the protector so that you can plan your installation before you start. The anti-glare protectors look nice, but the screen clarity is not as good as I expected, and I find the scratchy sound it makes during use slightly annoying.
fantastic screen protectors
December 3, 2014
Purchased these for use on a fresh, out-of-the-box Lumia 635. Short version of the review: fantastic screen protectors. Good fit, nice packaging comes with everything you need including a bubble scraper and screen cleaning supplies, and the matte finish was even better than I hoped. The matte finish has a smooth feel, doesn't leave any fingerprints, and most people will probably find it more comfortable to move their finger around if they do a lot of swiping than the bare screen. It is an obvious matte finish, which comes in handy in sunny climes, but it will dull the color and brightness on the screen image a bit. A protector with a lighter matte finish might be a better fit if all you need is to reduce the glare of fluorescent lights in the office. As I have seen with other protectors for Lumia phones, these are not a 100% perfect fit for the screen, but they are closer than the protectors I have bought in the past for the Lumia 521. The width is almost perfect, and the length is probably better than 95%. Skip the included sticky tab film for cleaning the screen before applying the protector. It left residue streaks and wasn't any better at removing dust than a microfiber cloth. The included microfiber patch will get the job done, but is small enough that a thumb will fall off the side. If you have your own clean microfiber cloth handy, it will serve you better.I always find it worthwhile to pay the extra couple of dollars for a 3-pack versus a single pack when buying a screen protector. Even aside from having a back-up for later use if a protector gets scuffed up, it's nice to have another ready to go if you mess up irredeemably when applying the protector, as I did on my first one in this pack. The protectors are sealed in double pull-off plastic stickers. They are clearly labeled about which one to pull off first. I did not pay attention, pulled of the seal of the sticky side and planted two big fingers right on it, leaving behind two permanent greasy finger marks. When applying the screen protector, make sure you have good overhead lighting so that you get a good view as you line up the edge of the protector. I prefer to go from top to bottom, moving slow and pushing against the bend with the bubble scraper to try to avoid bubbles as much as possible during the application. It's much easier to pull back a tiny bit during the application if you start forming a bubble than to try to scrape the bubble out later.
Almost Perfect
November 29, 2014
This screen protector is great I love it. The only reason I gave 4 not 5 stars is because I would have preferred the protector came all the way to the edge, but it is a 1/10 of a centimeter or so shy all the way around. That's is just a personal preference. Also the cloth the give you the wipe the screen doesn't really remove grease/oils that well, so if your phone has a lot which min did you'll need to clean it with something else first. It was every easy to instal and just took a couple minutes, it was nice that you can make minor fixes after install unlike other ones where once it's on it's to late. I also like that you can use it immediately after applying, with another kind I had to wait 12+ hrs to use my device after putting it on. The anti-glare finish looks really nice and doesn't show fingerprint as much as the screen did. It doesn't affect visibility at all although I did have to make my screen a little brighter after I put it on. All in all I'm very happy with this product and would order the same kind of other devices.

Preferable a Lumia 640 or Lumia 435
March 17, 2017
I only give him 3 star that has no front camera... could put it to the new Nokia 216 front bed, and that was not upgraded to Windows Mobile 10, despite the fact that today March 2017 is 100% operational, Apps are updated frequently, now if you are very frequent user of Facebook and BlackBerry BBM better comprate an Android or iOS since have not been very well developed these App otherwise I invite you to buy a 640 Lumia or Lumia 435 which have front-facing camera and Windows Mobile 10
Great phone if temporary
December 19, 2015
I bought this phone last year and it has worked well up until the same time the following year. It's main problem currently is that it refuses to charge. It has sort of always had the problem of needing to be on in order to charge which has now proven deadly. Really the problem started with it not charging with regular use about four months ago and I had to keep it in sleep mode (if you will) while it charged. That was until about two months ago when it refused to charge with its native charger. I then spent about five dollars on a new charger which worked well up until today December the 17th (bought it last year on December 3rd) where after a night spent . on the charger it still won't so much as vibrate. So it is with that I now face the challenge of traveling by plane for Christmas without a phone or any way to contact anybody should something go wrong. P.s. Amazon's autocorrect is garbage...
Bluetooth woes
October 21, 2015
I bought this phone for the Bluetooth as that feature on my Lumia 1520 has stopped connecting with several of my devices. I thought I could use this phone to fill in for music, fitness band, etc. But this phone is having the same problem as my 1520 -- pairing, but not staying connected, so it's useless to me. It might be a recent software update because I've had my 1520 almost two years and just started having this particular problem. When searching the problem online, I see it's a pretty widespread problem. If Bluetooth is not important to you, aside from the phone getting hot quickly, it's a good deal.
Short Battery Life!
September 7, 2015
It's OK if you like to charge your phone every single night even if you've not used the phone that day!!!! Previously I had a Nokia to use with T-Mobile (we had to change carriers because our son went to college where T-Mobile receives ZERO reception) anyway - the previous Nokia would last me all week - I only had to charge once a week. This one has a very low battery life - it's this way on all 3 phones we purchased so it's not just one fluke of a defective battery. I have no apps on this phone; it is used strictly as a phone - we use the 10 cents a minute plan. To be honest there are days I don't even use the phone and the battery dies in less than 2 days - hence I have to charge it every night. I guess you get what you pay for = $40.00 for a phone and the privilege of charging it every night - which means it is costing me the price of electricity every single night.
Decent Budget Phone
August 6, 2015
Overall this a good choice for a budget phone if you're willing to overlook some flaws and inconveniences. It offers a good display with a decent processor that loads apps fairly quickly. Call service, quality, and texting all worked as expected with no real complaints outside of the somewhat odd Windows interface that takes some getting used to. The outer casing may feel a little cheap, but I've had no problems with phone durability even after a few drops. On the negative side I did encounter a big problem with some apps simply refusing to ever install on my phone. Even some apps that came pre-installed on the phone refused to update and run correctly. I wasn't able to fix this issue or pinpoint the cause even after some internet research, but I admittedly was never bothered by it enough to dedicate a lot of time to trying to fix it. Other apps would download and work perfectly fine.Internet Explorer also has a tendency to crash regularly and just not work well on some popular websites I like to visit, sometimes requiring me to soft reset the phone in order to clear up whatever problems it was having. The camera is fine for well lit outdoor environments, but don't expect to take any decent pictures or video in most indoor settings. Also, no front facing camera wasn't a big deal to me personally, but I know a lot of people would find that a big negative.I've used this phone for about 6 months, and for the price the Lumia 635 deliverers about what you can expect feature wise, but possibly with the cost of putting up with some technical problems.
No map storage on SD card. The phone has ...
July 31, 2015
No map storage on SD card. The phone has 8GB of internal storage, of which about 4.5GB is already obligated out of the box. One of the pre-loaded apps is called "Maps," which will display maps as long as a wireless connection is available. If a wi-fi connection isn't available, or one wants to avoid roaming charges, there is an option for downloading maps for an entire country for offline use. Unfortunately, the USA map is over 4GB in size and will not fit within the available phone memory. Until last year, Lumia phones had the capability of saving maps to an add-on SD memory card. No more! That feature has been removed with Windows Phone 8.1. What could be a very important app is now almost worthless.

not bad but better ones out there.
August 30, 2016
I was torn between 3 and 4 stars. The shield fit my Lumia 635 fine and was not too bad to put on. However after the first week there were a few deep scratches on the shield. phone was fine so I put a new on eon and that one lasted about a week and again was all scratched up. I realize that it did protect the phone however my last shield from another company lasted almost 2 years without any noticeably scratches.
Safe play, but Just OK
March 27, 2016
I have used many brands of phone screen protectors and find this Mr Shield above average. it fit the Nomia 645 very well. The three pack was good value and after install, the finished product looks good. Im talking one star off because the tool given for pushing air bubbles out is very cheap And about useless. The cloth they send is subpar as well. The extra little stickers they include to remove debris is a nice touch, but was not needed for me.Im going to take another star off since I feel the product is a bit over hyped. Overall, this is a safe bet to use and if you get i good price, I think you will be happy. i did receive an email from the company offering to handle any complaints. Which i do think shows this is a good company to deal with.
what's the point?
November 6, 2015
Well it seems to do what it was designed for, though one must be very careful to apply it properly, and it is a rather annoying process; however, what I still wonder about is what the general purpose is. It will certainly attract fingerprints and scratches as time goes on, just as the screen itself would. It's a bit of an object of excess and obsession. No one's phone is going to last a decade, and if it did we'd have already gotten rid of it.

October 7, 2015
They go on fine and come with all kinds of stuff to help you get rid of dust, even though I still managed to get lint stuck to mine which created unfixable bubbles anyway, but I'll put that on me.What I wasn't impressed with was the durability. I used all three screens because each one survived about a day and a half in my pocket, touching nothing but my other phone and all developed massive gashes and scuffmarks just from that. So while they protect the screen, they're less durable than the screen anyway, making them sort of pointless.
The product itself is great, I like the anti-glare screen
May 26, 2015
The product itself is great, I like the anti-glare screen. I've never had an anti-glare screen protector before and I am loving it. I like how the texture of it is similar to the texture of the white shell case. Also, the video on how to instal is simple and helpful. However, it did not fit my Nokia 635. It was a little small, so there is a glossy 2mm gap around the top edge where the screen is exposed. That part was disappointing, so my perfectionistic side has to sigh a sigh of resignation when the gap comes to my attention. But mostly I am preoccupied with doing phone stuff to be staring at the gap when I use my phone. But those times when the phone is off and I just look at that screen, SIGH. If only perfection! Total 5 stars if it fit the screen exactly....That gap!
Good: The package came with 3 screen protector's
December 19, 2014
Good:The package came with 3 screen protector's, bubble remover, and a bunch or stickers. The screen protector fits perfectly and feels smooth during use. It also works well with a case since the protector does not go all the way to the edges where the case can rub and ultimately cause the protector to peel off. I nailed the installation on the first try without any bubbles!Bad: The reason I docked a couple of stars was due to the fact that the tabs on the protector that are used for installation left a lot of glue residue. It is pretty noticeable and not too easily removed without smearing it. Tried a few conventional methods to remove it to no success. I've used other protectors where the tabs came off with no issues. However, I only paid less than half the price for the ones I could get at the local store, so I can deal with it.

Disappointing - problems with texting and no support.
January 11, 2016
Its ok but having problem with texting / messaging. No user manual was included. Going on-line you were directed to AT&T's page which had nothing. The seller / manufacturer merely quipped to "read the manual". Going to try to see if people in the AT&T store can help but so far disappointed. I know cheaper phones will have less bells and whistles, but simple texting between 2 people should not be so difficult.
Go through the next couple pages of reviews.

its getting me by ive had it for a few months definitely a huge downgrade, apps suck, web browser sucks(always crashing)idk i wouldn't recommend this to anyone, not even for a low budget find a better one.long live android!*Update: 6 months and its decided to take a dump. Never dropped it, kept it clean, kept it charged, stayed away from bad downloads, and never flooded the memory. Hopefully it's true that Windows won't make any more phone operating systems. Besides that companies never support Windows because they never listen to what the people want.

November 4, 2015
I got this phone for my son. If you need a phone that only calls ,then it's a good phone for the price. However, he likes to download apps and we haven't been able to download any. We've tried to contact customer service ,but keep getting different people who don't know how to fix the problem. I wished I would've sent a little more money to get him an android phone or one that downloads apps easily.
Disappointed of the quality after using five months
May 14, 2015
I like the win system very much, it is beautiful, easy and works smoothly. Although it does not have so many apps like android or ios, the apps on win usually have an elegant interface and are enough for me. The battery is good, and the machine is solid, although the touch screen feels a little bitter slow on your fingertips. Anyway, at the very beginning, I was very satisfied of the phone. However, after I use less than five months, the speaker suddenly stopped work. It is horrible because I missed the alarm and several calls. It came back to work after I took out the sim card and put it away for a whole day. But after two weeks the speaker stopped work unexpectedly again, and this time I had to contact with Amazon to return it back. This phone has some other small problems, for example, the phone cannot display a right time zone after three months usage. I have to set it manually. From the very beginning, the phone cannot connect to my PC by usb. But without the speaker's problem, I could tolerate it. I understand t is a cellphone only cost me $50, but the quality still disappointed me. I really hope we could have more quality choice on win phone.

When I did so the item bent because I could not easily remove them
November 6, 2015
After viewing several videos about carefully placing both parts of the protector, I tried 3 times and was unsuccessful. The main problem for me was removing the tabs with the numbers 1 and 2, When I did so the item bent because I could not easily remove them. That made placing both parts smoothly very difficult. Yes, my fingers are arthritic, but I can usually move them well enough for other projects. If you send another set, I will ask someone with younger hands to do the job. Thanks for the second (fourth) chance.
I'm going to take my luck without a protector, instead of using these.
June 30, 2015
We specifically bought these screen protectors, instead of using the free ones for our phones. The second day, I put my phone in my gym bag with my keys, wallet, lighter - low and behold! - there are crazy scratches in it already. I have to say, I'm strongly considering taking the protector off already, because the phone has Gorilla Glass anyway. I won't be replacing these once they're gone, and may not even use the extra one. When "installing" the screen protector, the "dust remover" left adhesive on the screen, and the cleaning cloth was so thin, that it left smears from my fingers beneath it. The after-thought dusts collector strips worked well, but overall a glasses cleaning cloth worked so much better than all the materials they supplied.Oh... and the screen protector is not actually large enough to cover the entire screen. There's about 3 millimeters around the protector that are not covered, urging me to ask, "What's the point?"
do not do a good job of reducing glare
May 22, 2015
These are not the matte finish anti glare screen protectors that I thought I was getting. They are more clear, do not do a good job of reducing glare, and scratch up very easily. I have had this screen cover on for a little over 2 weeks, and the screen has several micro scratches. I though I would try a cheaper brand, and I got hosed. I would rather get TA brand and spend 3x the amount but get a better screen protector. I do not plan to buy these again.
but it does nothing like that at all
May 10, 2015
I understood the product to be non glare so that I could see my screen outside in the sun, but it does nothing like that at all. I still have to go indoors to see my screen. It does protect the screen from getting scratched though, and it did arrive promptly. I got half of what I wanted, and for the price, I guess I can't really complain - you get what you pay for. one of the greatest truisms since capitolism.
One small problem ruined it
March 3, 2015
The shields fit perfectly. My only problem came at the end, after I had a perfectly smooth cover with no air bubbles or dirt trapped underneath. That last little sticker that is supposed to lift right off of the cover after its adhered to the screen. IT WOULDN'T COME OFF. It ended up pulling the cover up off of the screen, & left the gummy adhesive crap from the sticker. I ended up having to scrub it off with some coconut oil. But the nice smooth adherence was gone, & the top left corner where the sticker was is now kind of bent. Not an isolated incident, as I tried all three protectors. That one small problem ruined them. Buy another brand.

February 27, 2015
I can't understand why there are so many 5 stars .I read the instructions ,I even watched You Tube ,after going through two shields I'm embarked on my last shield .No luck a dozen bubbles . I love the vid as that person gets that plastic piece and starts pushing out the bubbles to the sides and then out .It didn't work for me ,and I was so careful .One thing I noticed as I researched shields ,that all the brands got mostly 5 stars ,even the $2 ones which makes me question most of the reviews ,are they legitimate .I have read some long reviews with great detail and tend to trust them ,because it shows he has done his homework All my reviews have always been brutally honest ,if the product is good I say so with 5 stars .In this case I used up all 3 and am not happy .I have now ordered the tempered glass type ,we will see .

Sorry I Purchased this phone
March 1, 2016
My old phone broke, so I quickly purchased this one, because of the good reviews and the price. When I first received this phone I was happy with it. Very easy to use, but then things went down hill. The biggest problem is downloading apps. There was so many that I could not use. It became very frustrating and I had planned to buy a new phone, even though I only had it a total of 4 months. Well one day it just froze and I couldn't do anything. I tried turning it on and off, taking the battery out, but nothing worked. The screen was locked, so I had to buy a new phone. Went back to Samsung and so far I'm very happy, started downloading all my favorite apps right away.
Phone died for the second time. Buyers beware.
February 14, 2016
I originally purchased this phone and within 2 days, it was dead. Stopped working completely. Amazon.com sent a replacement which worked for 3 1/2 months and suddenly died. Two weeks past the eligible return time. I am very disappointed that I have to now go to another company to buy a phone, that will last longer than 3 1/2 months. DO yourself a favor and don't be cheap like I was - you get what you pay for. Just spend a little extra money for a phone worth having.

December 13, 2015
This is one of the worst phones I ever owned. The charger died less than 24 hrs after I set up the phone, Battery life is horrible drains rapidly even in airplane mode, phone charges very slowly when hooked up to Windows 10 PC via usb 2.0 and 3.0 ports. AT&T service is good and reasonably priced but I am going back to android. Microsoft needs to get there act together or this phone will fade from existence.

Was disappointed in this product
December 20, 2015
Was disappointed in this product. After I got the screen side in place on the phone, I pushed the bubbles out as best as I could, my drivers license worked better than the supplied tool to push them out. There were several small bubbles that wouldn't come out from the middle area, hopefully they will go away after a few days on their own. I then pulled up on the tab to remove the outer protective shield and the whole shield pulled up off the phone. I then reset the screen back onto the phone, fought the bubbles again and now some parts of the edges won't stay down and make contact with the phone even after using my drivers license to push the shield down into place. I've used the Gorilla glass protective screen on my other phone and much easier to get the bubbles out felt more secure. Would not recommend. P.S. I did watch the online video from Mr. Shield.
doesn't fit
August 8, 2015
This product came with instructions to visit the MR Shield web site for instructions on how to install the product. So, I did. The screen protector went on very nicely. Very few bubbles, and those were easy enough to remove. However the protector also comes with some glued-on tabs to help with alignment. After the protector was installed to my satisfactions, I removed the tab only to find that it left a glob of glue on the screen. I tried, dish washing soap, Windex, Comet Cleanser etc. to remove the glue to no avail. Perhaps rubbing alcohol would have done it. Tired of trying, threw the rest of the shields into the garbage where they belong.
Do not recommend these shields.
July 22, 2015
Tried to email customer svc. and it just leads to website and ads. I meticulously tried to install these shields, but am disappointed. The sticky tabs on sheets leave residue that I have to remove with GooGone, indicating they are possibly old stock. The dollar store shield I bought to make due until these arrived went on easier, left no bubbles. Cardboard smoother left visible scratch marks. I would like to take advantage of Mr. Shield's money-back guarantee, if I can ever reach them.

May 30, 2015
I used all three and was unable to get the bubbles out. I tried to contact their online warranty people and they did not exist. I watched the video and was as careful as I could be but these things were tough to work with. I think with a couple more tries I would have been successful but I gave up trying to contact Mr. Shield for their implied guaranty.

March 3, 2015
The video looks good. This product does not work on Nokia 635. The packaging seemed used. No plastic packaging as in film. The glue residue is very sticky and actually causes the bubbles. The small lint stick cleaner deposits glue also creating more bubbles. The included cloth actually made the screen worse. Just wondering if my item was previously used? No sealed container. I'll eat this product and buy the real glass one. Buyer beware.
