Five Star Reviews: | 83% I bought this for our little poodle. July 18, 2017 I actually bought this for my toy poodle. He has other dog toys, but we had a baby visit our house, and he was fascinated by a rattle, but he couldn't have it, so I bought him his own. He's elderly and doesn't chew his toys open anymore. He likes this rattle and it seems like a really good quality rattle and it's easy to grip. Holds up to multiple washes July 12, 2017 This is my 8 month olds favorite rattle/toy. It was the first thing he could really get a good grip on and he loved the rattle sound. When he started teething he loved chewing on the hands/feet and the antenna. It has held up to multiple washings and I actually purchased a second one so when the first one gets super dirty he doesn't have to go without while I wash it. Great Rattle But Maybe Not First June 4, 2017 This toy is excellent--my son loves it. It was a little thick for him to hold initially, though he was able to hold thinner rattles at the time. He actually got two and has this with him all the time. I love that it makes noise but is soft so it doesn't hurt him when his hands jerk and it hits his little face. alien/bug guy, baby approves June 23, 2015 Baby loves the bell rattle and cut face on this toy. Not too bug or small. She chews on the antennae and the four feet. They crinkle. If it needs to be washed just get a hot towel with light soap and wipe it down and repeat with a clean cloth to rinse. I have wet the whole thing in a sink of hot water too (light soap) and it doesn't take too long to dry that way either but they recommend the first way on the package. I have used hooks to attach this guy to the activity gym, bouncer and car seat. Baby enjoys it. I did cut the tags off which seemed annoying. So cute!!! I gave it to him when he was only 3 months old, and four months later he still loves it. The soft side is great for an easily excitable baby so he doesn't hurt himself. Now that he's older, he loves using the hard side to make noise banging it against things (his baby carrier, his high chair, etc.). It is a wonderful first toy! The only thing is the hard plastic end might be dangerous for some babies with less control over their hands as we've all been hit by them as the baby is waving them around. The soft end is really nice and always ends up in the baby's mouth. So easy for the baby to hold and move around. The rattle sound isn't obnoxious or loud. Very easy to throw in the diaper bag and easy to clean. I wouldn't take this to any place people would be annoyed, however, because the baby does like to hit the hard end on surfaces and that creates quite a bit of noise. I would purchase again! So I thought I would give you my experience if you are looking to buy this for a baby same age.1- The noise they make isn't like rice in a closed container. it is more like a plastic sounds. We have been using maracas during our lap time classes and I wanted to get some for my 7 mo. I thought these would be perfect but the bearings that make the noise are quite large and only have 3 in each. It does make noise, but it's not enough for my little one. I would recommend these for younger infants, but once your child starts being about to understand the shaking means noise, they may not be the best. Good fun toy for your baby or infant July 9, 2016 We bought these for our infant son because he loves music. They are well and the soft fabric ball on the end opposite of the maracas was a nice added touch. However the maracas don't work quite as well as I expected. They don't make the sound that I was hoping for. Regardless, our son loved shaking them and making noise. He's 15 months old now so he rarely plays with them anymore but they were great when he was younger. Cute baby rattle May 26, 2016 This a set of two baby rattles that look like maracas. Each one has a rattle on one end, which is filled with balls, its see through. The other end is a soft and chewable cozy pillow like teether. I was able to wash them and let them air dry. I did not get the rattle side of they toy wet.These rattles are a great toy for little ones that don't have the best control of their arms just yet. These were a much better option for my daughter than the traditional hard plastic rattles because she would sometimes hit her head when shaking them. I worry less now that she has a cushion when they do hit. I dropped the rating by 1 star because the rattles don't 'rattle' as well as traditional ones because there are only 3 balls that are too big to move much. Overall satisfied with the purchase. Cute maracas May 26, 2015 My babies enjoy playing with these maracas. The yellow and green colors are bright and I like the design on them. I like that there is a soft end for them to keep by their faces, so they don't accidentally bang themselves. The also like to bite that end when their teeth are bothering them. I actually wish that the rattle part was a little bit louder though. I never thought I would hear myself say that, but it is hard to hear unless you shake it really hard. One Star Reviews: | 3% Arrived dirty & "shop-worn" August 13, 2016 Actually the rattle itself is nice and I think my grandson would probably enjoy it a lot. The reason I'm only giving 1 star is due to the condition of the product that I received. Arrived with no protective plastic wrap and it's dingy and dirty. Appears very shop-worn. Not sure whose dirty hands have been all over it but I'm certainly not going to give it to my 4 month old little grandson who would immediately stuff it in his mouth. May try putting it in the wash and see how it turns out. Very disappointed. Poor quality May 30, 2014 I ordered this as a gift for a baby shower.
