Five Star Reviews: | 83% I bought this for our little poodle. July 18, 2017 I actually bought this for my toy poodle. He has other dog toys, but we had a baby visit our house, and he was fascinated by a rattle, but he couldn't have it, so I bought him his own. He's elderly and doesn't chew his toys open anymore. He likes this rattle and it seems like a really good quality rattle and it's easy to grip. Holds up to multiple washes July 12, 2017 This is my 8 month olds favorite rattle/toy. It was the first thing he could really get a good grip on and he loved the rattle sound. When he started teething he loved chewing on the hands/feet and the antenna. It has held up to multiple washings and I actually purchased a second one so when the first one gets super dirty he doesn't have to go without while I wash it. Great Rattle But Maybe Not First June 4, 2017 This toy is excellent--my son loves it. It was a little thick for him to hold initially, though he was able to hold thinner rattles at the time. I'm thinking this is better for like 3.5/4mo+. He really does love it though Great baby toy for little ones just learning how to use their hands. December 29, 2016 The baby really likes this toy. He actually got two and has this with him all the time. I love that it makes noise but is soft so it doesn't hurt him when his hands jerk and it hits his little face. alien/bug guy, baby approves June 23, 2015 Baby loves the bell rattle and cut face on this toy. Not too bug or small. She chews on the antennae and the four feet. They crinkle. If it needs to be washed just get a hot towel with light soap and wipe it down and repeat with a clean cloth to rinse. I have wet the whole thing in a sink of hot water too (light soap) and it doesn't take too long to dry that way either but they recommend the first way on the package. I have used hooks to attach this guy to the activity gym, bouncer and car seat. Baby enjoys it. I did cut the tags off which seemed annoying. So cute!!! June 12, 2014 I bought this for my granddaughter and she loves it. The head and circle are so soft and the "arms" are nice and crunchy. She's only 5 wks old so I do most of the playing right now but she loves the bright colors. I'm sure once she has the hand eye corrdination down she'll love playing with it | 75% and it is great for baby to hold on to July 28, 2017 I ordered this for my babe along with the Oball roll car. This shaker is cute, the balls inside seem to fascinate my child, and it is great for baby to hold on to. Toy is lightweight which is great for when babies start to pick up things and flail the arms! Would highly recommend for ages 3m+ Great Oball toy, for kids a little older March 23, 2017 Oball toys are incredible. We got this one when our daughter was 3 months, and that was a little early - it's heavy and she'd hit herself in the face with it because she didn't quite have the motor control. We switched to more age-appropriate Oball toys and brought it back in the mix when she had a little more control (and could appreciate the shaker element!). Great rattle February 9, 2017 This is a great rattle for little fingers! The texture of the green and blue sections is like a silicone that my daughter was easily able to grasp. The rattle itself is very quiet, which she tends to get a little tired of, but she loves being able to hold onto it and wave it around. She got this around 3 months old.I would definitely recommend this rattle. My grandson is just beginning to grasp items. Of ... September 9, 2016 My grandson is just beginning to grasp items. Of course he tries to put everything in his mouth and this rattler is no different. He is able to hold onto it for short periods of time at this point.A few more weeks and he will have it all figured out how to hold onto things. and this one is easy for her short March 7, 2016 Our daughter loves rattles, and this one is easy for her short, pudgy fingers to grasp. One of her favorites! Holds up well to chewing, also 😊 Excellent for learning to grab and hold April 14, 2015 Bought this for 3 month old. He loves it. Very easy to grip. Soft rubber ends also can be chewed on. center small enough for little hands and makes just a little bit of rattle noise. |
Four Star Reviews: | 11% It's a very nice toy but it's too big for my 3 months ... February 18, 2017 It's a very nice toy but it's too big for my 3 months old. He can not hold it yet. Will save it for later. Love that it is February 6, 2017 Body part was a little thick for our 1 month old to try to grasp. Love that it is soft Adorable rattle with nice bright colors and patterns January 8, 2017 Adorable rattle with nice bright colors and patterns. Soft on all sides so safe to use for a baby still working on coordination but wanting entertainment. Cute small soft rattle January 21, 2016 My daughter enjoys this you but it's worth more like $5 not $12 but it's worth the price for my daughters happiness. At least it's safe to play with and it rattles which is nice. Good for infants August 7, 2015 I bought this two for my two month old baby. The bright colors seem to attract his attention and he likes the crinkling sound that the feet make. The rattle sound is not super loud which I appreciate. Baby can't yet hold onto objects yet but the ring shape with the nubby feet will be easy for little hands to hold onto. Small enough to stick in the diaper bag, purse, or even pocket. | 14% but my baby seems to enjoy it. It is not the favorite toy May 31, 2017 I wish this made more noise, but my baby seems to enjoy it. It is not the favorite toy, but easy to grab and throw in diaper bag. Oballs <3 May 28, 2017 I should preface this with: Oballs are my favorite early infant toy (2-6 months). My daughter could grab them before any other toy. She picked up and tried to gum her Oball shaker before she made 9 weeks, and it was the first time I saw her actively interact with a toy. There is something about the plastic mesh that makes them really easy to hold for even the tiniest of hands. My least favorite things about Oballs is they are annoying to clean. It never feels like a wipe down can cover all the angles of the mesh.We started out with the Oball shaker, but quickly ordered the Oball Jingle and Shake Pal and the Oball Rollin' Rainstick Rattle once we realized how well she could grasp them. The highlights for the Oball ShakerThe good- Super light and portable. The smaller plastic webbing makes it easy for little fingers to grab. It has become a staple throw in for our diaper bag.The bad- The "shake" in the shaker is a bit of a let down. It is so muted that our daughter hardly responds to it. Great for Baby's First Toy. April 11, 2017 I bought this shaker for my baby when she was 3 months old. She was immediately able to grasp and hold it. No matter where she picked this shaker up from, she was able to keep hold of it. The center handle, which is made out of a textured, hard plastic, is also filled with tiny little plastic balls that make noise as baby moves the toy. The sound is really gentile but loud enough to keep baby engaged. The blue and green ends of the shaker are made out of a slightly flexible material. You can bend them with slight pressure. One downside; it is difficult to clean. If you run it underwater at all, water will seep into the center handle and make all of the beads stick together. The water will eventually dry out in a day or two.Now that my baby is almost 8 months old, she doesn't find this toy as interesting. She now uses it as a wand to hit the toys that dangle from her bouncer. Mom likes it but baby new born so too soon to tell November 17, 2016 Gift for newborn grand. His mom said it's cute and seams to be made well but we won't know how the baby feels about it for a bit. That's why I gave 4 instead of 5 stars will up date when he begins to play with his toys. Recieved quickly packaged well. his fingers could hold it easily. But it was difficult for him to put ... December 11, 2015 I bought it 2 month ago. My baby was 3 months. At that time, it was not hard for him to hold this.Especial there are hole, his fingers could hold it easily. But it was difficult for him to put it close to his mouth. For it was large, he could not control it. Right now, my baby is 5 months. He practiced a lot, he can hold it and put it close to his mouth quickly. This staff is safe for baby. Good toy! |
Three Star Reviews: | 2% Three Stars July 5, 2017 My baby loves the crinkle sound. Cute rattle but you could probably get one for cheaper at walmart. I thought for sure my baby would enjoy this toy more but she doesn't hold it for ... September 29, 2016 Its okay.. I thought for sure my baby would enjoy this toy more but she doesn't hold it for too long. She's 5 months and holds on to some of her others toys more than this one. Not impressed September 26, 2010 I was not impressed with this toy for the price. The quality is good, but it is a $3 toy...not more. | 7% Okay September 8, 2017 I was hoping the beads would be more loose and flow more so that it would make more sound when my son uses this but it still gives him something to chew on and grasp. check the size September 8, 2017 I had hoped it would be smaller - should have read the description more carefully. It is not a great first toy since it is too big for a newborn's hand. The shaker in this doesn't make a lot of noise otherwise these would have been great. September 7, 2017 My daughter loves the Oball original. The shaker in this doesn't make a lot of noise otherwise these would have been great. My son can actually grab this due to the design ... April 6, 2017 My son can actually grab this due to the design but not as interested since it barely makes a rattle noise. Water will get inside if you try washing it under running water. Missing shapes June 20, 2015 I didn't get any of the spirals. And the flowers didn't have notches cut out. So I only got a few "links". The rest were all end pieces. Just ok. April 20, 2015 Took away one star because as other reviewers have mentioned, it's hard to keep clean. When I wash it I just try not to get the inside part wet. It's light and easy to pick up for my 3 1/2 month old. It's not very stimulating though, she goes for other, brighter toys with a louder rattle on them. For what it's worth, I caught my cat playing with it. |
Two Star Reviews: | 1% not as good as the old one March 15, 2013 the old one had much more activity, different patterns and textures and it squeaked. We bought this one to replace the old one we lost and my baby doesn't have any interest at all in playing with it. | 2% After rinsing if off, all the little balls inside ... September 29, 2016 After rinsing if off, all the little balls inside stuck together so it doesn't make the rattle sound any more. Bought this because it looked like it would fit in the baby's hand better than ... August 22, 2016 Bought this because it looked like it would fit in the baby's hand better than others but he was not interested in playing or holding it. The shape is good for her January 6, 2016 I have the round Oball with intermittent rattling parts that my 7 1/2 month old loves. So, I thought she might want the rattle too. The shape is good for her, but the rattle part - all of the balls in the middle - don't work at all, they might rattle for a minute, then get stuck, they seem pretty useless. I would just rather have purchased another Oball if I would have known how crappy the rattle was on this. Boring and too quiet. April 23, 2014 This rattle is boring and too quiet for my 6 month old daughter. We have a larger Oball toy that has a center column with lots of tiny balls inside. The other toy sounds like a rain stick and the volume is at a pleasant and fun level. This Oball shaker is practically silent. It does not hold her interest at all. I wish it was louder because the size is just right for her to hold in her active little hands. Just okay December 28, 2012 Bought this because we LOVE the Oball rattle, which makes a nice sound when shaken. This shaker, however, makes a sound that is barely audible when shaken and my 8 month old who loves the rattle does not have much interest in this shaker. However, I would recommend this for a baby who needs practice holding a lightweight rattle- it is nice that it has a balanced "barbell" shape. |
One Star Reviews: | 3% Arrived dirty & "shop-worn" August 13, 2016 Actually the rattle itself is nice and I think my grandson would probably enjoy it a lot. The reason I'm only giving 1 star is due to the condition of the product that I received. Arrived with no protective plastic wrap and it's dingy and dirty. Appears very shop-worn. Not sure whose dirty hands have been all over it but I'm certainly not going to give it to my 4 month old little grandson who would immediately stuff it in his mouth. May try putting it in the wash and see how it turns out. Very disappointed. Poor quality May 30, 2014 I ordered this as a gift for a baby shower. It was in plastic wrapping which I left on since I knew the new mom wouldn't need it right away. While visiting the new baby, we opened the package and I was horrified to find that some seams were open in the inside of the ring, stuffing poking out. Not what I expected! May 17, 2013 I'm only giving one star because I received item on time as expected. I will not be ordering from this retailer again as I received a totally different item than what was described. I was hoping to get a small soft rattle. I received a star blanket instead? I did not bother to call and return item as that will take time out of my day. Plus, the baby will enjoy toy regardless. | 2% One Star April 8, 2017 Rattle sound was very soft as others have mentioned. Did not get our baby's attention or interest. Reeks of Mildew December 23, 2016 This item was for my baby's Christmas stocking, but I am returning it. It smells overwhelmingly of mildew. It's a shame because he loves O-Ball products and probably really would have enjoyed this rattle, but I can't give it to him. It reeks. One Star December 2, 2016 This is tiny and makes very little noise. I wish I hadn't bought this. Not worth $5. for a really small baby February 9, 2015 the sound is too poor, I had to give it away by baby likes loud sounds and she's 5months |
