Simple - Stylish - Sturdy October 30, 2016 I recently moved to a smaller apartment and had to get rid of a desk that was too large. The shape of the room had a lot of limitations and I need a desk large enough for a computer but small enough to fit in this smaller corner. This took less than 20 minutes to assemble (just screw on the legs) and is more sturdy than most assembly desks / furniture I've seen. I wouldn't stand on it or put too much weight but it does the job and doesn't wobble. Love the simplicity. Arrived with no damage and also cheaper than local retailers selling the same desk. The price is great and it was quickly delivered June 12, 2016 Because of the minimal quality of the desk OVERALL, I can only give it 4-stars...but I really mean FOUR stars! The price is great and it was quickly delivered. I chose the chevron design because it is in a relatively dark office space where I'll be using it as a PC monitor desk NOT for constant use (I have tablets and phones too). Some of these things have "funny" materials, and this is one. Everything you need is in the box for assembly and the idea is you glue in a dowel on the upper part of each leg. They provide us the glue, and all the fasteners and a hex wrench. When The legs are made - as is it all - with wood chips pretty loosely glued together. In other words, it is not MDF quality or weight. The desk is sturdy enough and rated for 150-pounds according to the box I received. However the leg bottoms are unfinished entirely. You put the desk leg on the floor with an open bottom made of wood fibers which are going to absorb all liquids that touch it. At assembly I used the extra glue to put a finger coating on each leg bottom hoping to "seal" (sorta) the wood fibers....Later, I'll obtain some felt at least and glue that on with a glue gun....but really? For the money, if what you need is a small utility table or even a small desk on which to pay bills or compose letters, or use your laptop or tablet with a few papers nearby...it's hard to imagine a better purchase than this...especially given the color selection and pricing.... LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!❤️ May 17, 2016 I am honestly in love with this desk!! My dad put it together for me, and it took him only around 10 minutes. It's is super sturdy, and the paint job looks great. The drawer on one side sticks a little bit out but it's only noticeable if you inspect like I did. It's comes with the four legs separate and the top all put together already. I am using it for my vanity area, just waiting on my chair!😋 I would definitely get this if you're needing a cute desk for a semi small area. The lumbar support was a bit off for me and my husband who are of average height and weight. The chair kind of felt like the back pushed us forward. It went back because looks and sturdiness aren't the only things we were considering for daily usage. I personally don't really like it, and only use it now to hold ... June 20, 2017 In my opinion there isn't really so much lumbar support at all. Also the back is not very study in that if you lean back with much weight, the chair back will also lean back a little to an angle rather than staying still supporting against your back. I personally don't really like it, and only use it now to hold my laundry basket since the chair is a great hassle to return. I was disappointed that the black desk arrived here and looked like it was a used desk. All the edges were slightly chipped, the laminate was bubbling and there was glue residue in several places on the desk. I am just going to use this to test new computers I build. As long as you don't have to move the desk the legs stay in place.For the low amount I paid for this desk, I can't be too mad about it. Somewhat disappointed February 24, 2016 Received parsons desk with drawer today. Assembly was easy. Looks great in my small dining area. However, that there are a few minor problems: the legs are slightly uneven causing the table to rock. I will need to buy shims or rubber pads to even out. That was fine; I would have had it within a week. Several days later it was no longer listed as a Prime item, and I didn't get the desk for over two weeks. So if time is an issue for you, you might want to check with Amazon and ask.As for the desk, it's fine. It's small (like you didn't already know that), a writing desk. October 29, 2015 I was disappointed upon receiving this chair. I take some responsibility for my unmet expectations, as I could have looked more carefully at both the chair dimensions and some of the customer reviews that described the chair back's lack of rigidity.The first thing I noticed was the chipped paint on the chair legs. The blemishes were on the underside, though, so they aren't terribly noticeable. Re: Dimensions: The chair back was much shorter than I had anticipated. I think that Flash Furniture or BizChair would do well to include another item (or person) in the product picture to give customers a better idea of size. Having seen and sat in IKEA's Vilmar chair (http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/S79889750/), I assumed (somehow!) that this chair would also have the higher back and sturdiness of IKEA's stacking chair.The 770 lb capacity description of this Flash Furniture chair is deceiving, as is the lack of material description. The chair seat is a flexible plastic that I can imagine snapping if 770 lb (or less) leaned back against it. Initially, I thought that $35 was a good deal, especially with free shipping. However my first one can damaged on the top and side front corner. It came in damaged condition as well and too boot the leg on this one does Not line up properly in the back left corner so my husband had to modify the holes. Look at the underside photos people have posted -- the manufacturers don't even bother to put some ultra-cheap vinyl veneer tape on all of the edges! Plus, that vinyl contact-paper "wood grain" looks like very, very cheap wall paneling in some sleazy motel. The legs are hollow, so when they say "150 pounds max" I wouldn't make in 151.If you can get this thing for $20 or $30 and are pressed by urgent need, then maybe. But anything over $50 is absurd. Would not purchase this desk or this brand again. Those who do not learn from history, are doomed to repeat it ! The probability that it will arrive damaged is high.So, if you can get this for a very low price perhaps from the Amazon warehouse or a fire sale, it may be worth it. But I would not spend more than 30-35 dollars on this, tops. Today I see offers on AMZN trying to gauge for 60+ dollars for this desk. Flimsy & Cheap March 24, 2017 I am at a loss for how this junky desk has high reviews. It was the style and size my daughter wanted for a makeup vanity but wow this is cheaply made. The first thing I noticed was that the legs are as light as cardboard. I told her not to lean on the desk at all. The white cover on the legs was rough on all the edges and chipped at the top. The legs attach with a dowel & glue and 2 machine screws. Assembly couldn't be easier. Attach the legs and done. The drawer doesn't pull out evenly. You have to use two hands or wiggle it out. I paid $75, the price dropped $13 the next day. Still over priced. If you want something white & cheap and easy to assemble, and you don't care about quality or sturdiness, here you go. Great Product, but the scratches are everywhere. February 16, 2017 I solely bought this product because of everyone's positive reviews of the product which is my hesitation was minimal. After I finally built this for my partner yesterday I noticed scratches on the legs and a recognizable one on the top of the table. It makes me think this was returned and then put back very nicely for re-sell. I don't mind the purchase of a used product but maybe lower the price of the product or make it known it's used. Don't sell me something as new.Very discouraged. My wife doesn't mind. Besides that the desk makes a weird noise every time you open the drawer and doesn't open all the way. I don't know if I want to keep it but my wife is enjoying it so far. Low quality construction and appearance August 4, 2016 Materials and construction are low quality. The parts of my table arrived with wood glue spots in various locations and sharp edges on the table top corners. I don't believe the quality of this product matches the price. Assembly is easy enough but some of the screw holes were misaligned and/or filled with gunk/glue that I had to dig out in order to get a good fit. The pull out drawer is also "stuck" (it only opens 2 inches) so I have to shimmy it right and left to get it fully open. I wonder if it's wood glue that's dried up along the drawer tracks? I would not purchase this product again. Also, Amazon raised the price of this product to $109 one day, then down to $44 the next (for the Sonoma Oak color I purchased). I think you can find a better product at this price point (I purchased at $54). Sitting in it cranked my back bad enough that I had difficulty walking afterward. Crappy Packaging July 17, 2017 Needed orange heavy duty chairs for my new office. These just arrived after being delayed, etc. The packaging ABSOLUTELY SUCKS. I have 10 chairs and it has taken me an HOUR to get the crappy material/tape removed from each leg on FOUR of the chairs, as well as a splash of Goo-Gone. If you are a patient person, I am clearly NOT, these may work for you. When I order others for my office, I will NOT use this vendor or Hercules chairs. I have better uses of my time.
