Water: a necessity to live. This product solved all of my portable hydration needs. I wear it in the shower and I don't have to drink shower water anymore. Don't even ask me what I was drinking on the toilet....
Good alternative to more expensive hydration packs
August 11, 2016
I initially bought this as had many music festivals and hikes planned for the upcoming months. It was actually quite difficult to sift through all the different varieties but this one seemed overall the best in terms of customer reviews and affordability. It's quite sleek and I would recommend tightening the straps so its not bouncing around too much. The way this hydration pack seals the water in is a little different than your usual screw on lid type which seems more common. Essentially, it's a large open-ended durable plastic bag that you have to fold over the top and slide on the a plastic cover in between the fold of the bag. Think of it more like the slider ziploc bags except the zipper part can fully come off. It can be a little difficult to get on if you have too much water but adjusting to it shouldn't be that much of an issue. As for the bag itself, the straps aren't exactly the best as they can cause a lot of friction on your shoulders if they are exposed so definitely wear a shirt. Again, it won't be that comfortable but it's sufficient. It's also quite insulated as I was able to fill the bag halfway with ice and it lasted a good 4-5 hours in the Las Vegas desert heat while at EDC. As for storage, not a whole lot of room when the bladder is full and the small zipper pocket in the front doesn't add too much either. At most some keys, chapstick in the front; you can maybe stuff a wallet or phone in the main compartment before you place the bladder back in.Lastly, for cleaning, the bladder is quite easy and actually having the fully open top helps with drying. Clean with regular soap and water and then place the bag over top a standing bottle to hold the bag upright while the the water can drip down. The tube is a bit more difficult as with any other hydration pack. I just swing it around a few times to use centrifugal motion to get the water out.... Hey, it works.I've used this bag about 7-8 times so far and no leaks as some people have mentioned. Price point and functionality met my needs.
Great Hydration Pack
November 24, 2015
This Hydration Pack is awesome! I thought about purchasing a Camelback but I could not convince myself to spend that kind of money. This is a much more reasonably priced pack and works just a great! There is a little side zipper to put a small snack or keys or something else. You are able to pick which side the straw is on which is great.
The plastic (or whatever it's made of) water pack is easy to clean
July 17, 2015
I bought a larger High Sierra hydration pack for my husband at Costco. He often mountain bikes and take long ride bike trips with friends. My husband loves his High Sierra pack.We actually bought this particularly pack for a friend's birthday. He really likes it. The plastic (or whatever it's made of) water pack is easy to clean. It opens all the way for really easy cleaning (Camelbak users know what I'm talking about...we had a CB that was hard to clean and got moldy). There's room and zippered pockets for snacks, wallet/id and whatever else you may need for long bike rides. We (husband and self) recommend this to any person who is in the market for a hydration pack.
just a SMART buy if U work or play in the heat & sun

I ride my bike almost daily. This is a wonderful upgrade from a water bottle I've used for years. I also work Summer camp, I'm outside with campers in this South Florida heat. I freeze it overnight that provides me with cool water for up to 6 hours.

Works great, I only wish the pocket was a little bigger, you can't fit much more than a key in them, my wallet/phone don't fit in the pockets.

this is a great less expensive alternative to the camelbak, however the filling and closing of the bladder was a bit tricky and is almost a two person job.

May 6, 2015
Is there a trick to getting your hand into the bag without scratching it up? The velcro closure is murder. You really can't fit anything more than a phone and some ID and one key, but it's a tight fit in the spare pocket.Otherwise, it's a great bag. The reflective loop at the bottom works well with my little safety light, and it's a good size. Carried water for me and my dog for a 13 mile run. I really liked the slide rule to seal the bladder, no leaks so far, and it's very easy for me to do, no more screwing a cap so tight it breaks!!
Great water capacity!! Extra small storage capacity
January 12, 2015
I has plenty of water capacity, 2L for me is a lot. I thought it would be heavy to carry when biking but it is ok. The water remains cold/fresh for a reasonable amount of time and the isulated tube does its job fairly good. I found that the water that remains in the tube still gets a bit warm after a while. Also the storage capacity is not good for me so I bought the High Sierra Quick Shot (something like that) which has more storage capacity. Overall I'm very happy with the quality of the products from High Sierra. If you like to hike and carry only your cellphone and maybe a small wallet and a snack this might be good for you.

The bag is nice quality and has no storage(cell phone and keys). The bladder is nice but the connection to drinking tube is generic. The cover to the drink tube is awesome and didn't try the bite valve. The bag itself should have another pouch for some storage(room for an extra shirt) and the biggest disappointment is that there are no chest or waist straps to secure the bag.
Great for kids!

You get what you pay for. It was for my 11yo so it was fine but if i were to purchase it for myself, i would look for a better quality hydration pack.

October 2, 2015
Purchased this for Burning Man...was great the first couple hours then i noticed my leg was wet and that the mouth piece had been leaking water. However it served its purpose the entire week and still use it for hiking.
but I would recommend buying a backup 2 liter pouch
June 9, 2015
After using it for a day, the mouthpiece started leaking and would not stop. So whenever the mouthpiece was hanging or pointing downwards water would spill out. Otherwise the product is up to expectations, but I would recommend buying a backup 2 liter pouch.
It's okay.
August 8, 2014
I love how it feels on, when I run. Unfortunately, because of the mechanics of the closure of the inside bladder, the slide too easily comes off and makes a big mess of water down our backs. I think it is okay once it is in place, but the taking off and putting on tilts the bladder slide and loosens it. I may be putting it on wrong, and just have to be more careful.

If you're buying this for the backpack then go for it but in all honesty don't waste your time with this product
July 13, 2016
Where do I even start with this product... When I first got it I thought it was actually a really good product but boy was I wrong. After the first time using it the nozzle started to leak profusely, every time you stop drinking and let the spout hang on your side you would just get squirted with water. When I brought this along on a hike it soaked my entire right side in less than 30 minutes. Not only is the nozzle just a horrible design but the plastic it's made out of is not the best quality. After the 1st use, the hydration pack just had this horrible plastic taste that simply won't go away no matter how well you wash it. I would soak it in soapy hot water over night and the taste still wouldn't go away. Keep in mind that after every time I used this product I would immediately wash it, make sure it completely air drys and then store it in the freezer (I heard that it prevents any bacteria from growing). So with that in mind you can't say it taste like plastic because I didn't properly clean it.On the other hand, The backpack itself is actually made with pretty good material. There's a front pocket which makes storing your car keys when you're out hiking convienent. The thing that secures the bladder was a little confusing to use but after you understand how it works (like a giant zipper of sorts) then it's really easy to fill up and just go.Pros: Backpack itself is made up of good material, light, and durable.Has a convient front pocketEasy to secure mechanism for the bladderCons: Plastic taste that won't go awayThe worst nozzle design ever, leaks everywhere.

June 23, 2016
I work music festivals and I am always active during these events.Cons:-The valve sporadically leaks.-The valve needs to be constantly sticking up. If not it will leak even more. The bag does not come with a clip or anything to hold tubing and valve up.-The side pocket is super small. I can barely fit with a fight my Note 4 and that's the only thing that fits in there.-The clip that holds the blue bag clip and bag up is hard to take off.Pro:-It is lightweight.I personally would not buy this item again. My shirt was always wet due to the valve leaking.

... insulated tube so I thought it would be the best to not freeze
April 3, 2017
I bought this for a ski trip because it had an insulated tube so I thought it would be the best to not freeze. First complaint is that it does have a small zipper on the back but it is tiny, it barely even fit a little bit of cash and chapstick, it definitely will not fit a cell phone. Second complaint is that the bite valve does not shut all the way, so the entire 2 days that we skied my backpack leaked water down my side. Lucky enough I was wearing water proof clothes but it was the most inconvenient thing. I will not order again, and probably will end up throwing this one away because there is no way to keep water from coming out of.

The quality of this product is pretty bad. It feels really cheap. The price reflects the quality for sure.
This hydropack is not worth a dime.

Don't buy this, especially if it is a gift to be given after the 30 day warranty period. We now have a gift that leaks water all over the place that is not able to be returned.
