These curtains are excellent. Exactly as described by the seller. I am very pleased with my purchase.I ordered 3 sets of these curtains for 3 windows and love them.These curtains fulfill their purpose excellently...... they are true blackout/darkening curtains. I used a set per window pane. This made the curtains nice and full in appearance, and this is also what made them complete blackout curtains for me at night. (I did already have blinds behind the curtains, but I am confident that even without the blinds, these curtains would provide complete blackout for me at night in the manner that I hung them.)During the day, they are very darkening, to the point that I need to turn the light on. Also excellent.Love the fact that they come with matching tie backs. So during the day I use the tie backs to let some light in, and it also gives a beautiful appearance.Machine washes well. I machine washed them on cold, and tumbled dried them on light cycle. I took them out of the dryer immediately after they were dried and hung them immediately, thereby given them a nice draped appearance.They were packaged perfectly when shipped and was shipped fast.The material is superb. These curtains have a very elegant soft feel to them.These curtains have a nice weight to them. Somewhat heavy but not too heavy, thereby also serving the purpose as blackout/darkening curtains. In addition I can immediately tell the weight of these curtains will serve excellent purpose for room temperature.I ordered and received the beige. Beautiful.

Love 'em! My spouse is a light sleeper, I'm a heavy sleeper. He clearly sleeps better since we've switched to these curtains in the bedroom. The big surprise, though, is that I'm sleeping even more heavily (more deeply in early morning hours). Niiiiiiiiiiiice! Unexpected bonus! Plus, I thought the curtains would look drab. Aha! Yet another unexpected bonus because they do not! So........ Look great, work great, make us feel great!

I came across these in my search for new pinch pleat drapes to replace the ones in my livingroom that were at least 30 yrs old. I ordered 3 sets of these curtains in black for my livingroom and they work fantastic. Even though they are not what I was looking for and interpreted the description wrong, I was able to make them work.I have traverse rods with a pull cord, so any drapes need to have a place for the drapery hooks to slip into, which these do not. I was able to make them work by saftey pinning the hooks to the tabs on the back.They are thick and block out the light wonderfully. They will work perfect this summer to block the sun and help keep the temp. down in my air conditionless house.

Perfect curtains!!! They are a little heavy, but that's to be expected for blackout curtains. They do not let ANY light through. The package comes with two panels with straps to hold the open for both sides (see pictures, one pic has a light behind the panel to show no light coming through) I am planning on purchasing more for the rest of the rooms!!! HIGHLY SUGGEST PURCHASING THESE.And they are a great price!!!!

I got these in black. Not so much for the room darkening part but the color. Though as u can see they work pretty well as a room darkening curtain. They match my room decor (black and green) and I was pleasantly surprise at the material. It's soft and silky looking. I'm very happy with price and this purchase.

I ordered two sets for the living room windows. I wasn't sure what had arrived when I got the Amazon box because it was quite heavy for two curtain sets. They are decently thick and heavy and the material feels great. I am switching my old cheap curtain rods out soon because they may not hold the weight of these for very long. It's fine right now. One is bent, it's been that way for ages.. The cats can innocently walk by and our old curtains would fall. The quality of the curtains is superb and they are beautiful. We switched from two other popular brands of department store blackout/ light filtering which does not block out much light at all and on top our old ones are super thin and look super super cheap and ugly. These are just beautiful and the chocolate we ordered blocks out all light from the windows.As you can see in the picture our front door has a window and we had the lights on in the living room but you can't see light coming through the actual window. We don't even have blinds up. I didn't think blackouts could be this beautiful and elegant. They look so rich and pricey. I was pleasantly surprised! I'll be replacing all of our windows with these soon. I also didn't need to iron these as some reviewers stated that they may need to be put in the dryer or ironed. The few wrinkles disappeared when hung. The tie backs are an added bonus. The length is perfect for our windows but these are pretty wide which is great, I could have easily used just one for each window in the living room with room to spare. Someone stated these are a magnet for fur but that's not the case for us. We have two cats and a lot of dust in the house from my hubbys collectibles and junk, no matter how much we dust. I haven't noticed these catching any dust or fur yet.I just ordered these in gray for the bedroom which is a large window so we can replace the cheap ones which are 42" wide per panel (barely covers) with these that are 52-53" per panel and will provide better coverage and better blackout while looking more expensive and elegant so it's a win win. I can't wait to receive them in a few days. I also ordered blackout blinds (self adhesive) on Amazon too as to make sure the room is pitch black. Lol.. We have no blinds in the house minus one room and I want the bedroom black. I tend to wake up at 6-7 like clock work and I'm hoping this helps some and hoping they keep the cool out this winter.Update: I received the gray curtains and they block out about 90-95% of the light as opposed to the chocolate that blocks out 99% but in all fairness we have a huge bay window in the bedroom and these are still the best we have tried in there and both panels cover the entire window perfectly, with some room. I recycled our old cheap thin curtains into valances. I have the gray utopia sheets and moroccan comforter set by Utopia and they aren't an exact match. The curtains have the slightest tint of brown when placed right next to the sheets but don't appear that way from the window so they actually go well together, very close but not a perfect match. No one will know.. The window looks much better and this blocks out a LOT more light then our old ones. Huge difference.

So I'm not going to pretend that all blackout curtains aren't ugly, because they are. All of them. I know because I looked at all of them to make sure I wasn't missing out on anything. (I wasn't.) That aside, this is a pleasantly gray (is there such a thing?) version of said ugly blackout curtains, and they do an excellent job of blacking things out. In summary, these curtains are gray and they black things out, and you really can't get any better than that for gray, blackout curtains. So, five stars.FYI, if you want your room to be truly dark, you'll probably want to get a valence of some kind to go above these, as obviously light can still escape above where the curtain hangs on the wall.

I have two west-facing windows in my second-story bedroom, and the afternoon sun just blazes through them, making my whole second floor hot despite air conditioning and ceiling fans. I bought these curtains to block the sunlight with the hope of keeping my bedroom cooler. The difference was noticeable in one day! These curtains do the job for blocking light, and they look really nice. I love the feel of the fabric, too.

Excellent curtains!! I needed 8 sets, which is 16 panels for our sun room. The price was excellent: $30.00 for 2 panels. I sewed a 2-inch tunnel, so I could insert inexpensive curtain rods and this created the pretty top above it.The color is fabulous and the fabric feels elegant. I washed and dried them. They didn't need to be ironed and look beautiful, as you can see in my photos.

These curtains do just what they're supposed to do, keep out the light. I was skeptical because of the price but I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the long curtains, in black, for my bedroom so my husband could sleep during the day easier (night shift) and the first day they were up he slept much better! If you're looking for absolute blackness, these come about as close as you can get for the money you spend.

I was very skeptical when I placed my order, as you never really know what you're getting when you order online. Well let me just say that I LOVE these curtains! I ordered the Burgundy and it is a rich and beautiful color. The quality is exceptional, considering the very fair price I paid for them. When I first opened the package and felt the material, I was quite surprised. I did not expect the quality to be so good. I wasn't sure what thermal meant in terms of curtains but these definitely delivered. I also love the fact that they are truly blackout curtains, as the description states. And lastly, these curtains have noticeably helped with the cold drafts from my window. I am waiting to reorder more so I can change all the other curtains in my house. I highly recommend these curtains.

Initially purchased one and then after installing it purchased 2 more. These are inexpensive so they aren't very thick and require the center bracket to make them stable, but for the price they are great and they do not look cheap.

Bought the first rod for a quick, inexpensive solution. Put 4 long room darkening panels and is perfect. It's much better quality than I expected!! After over a year, no bending or bowing like I would expect, very strong and sturdy. I liked it so much I bought another. Unfortunately the window was to big and I couldn't ise

This was an inexpensive curtain rod and I was surprised with the detail on the ends and how well it holds a fairly heavy curtain. I did not use the brackets that came with it because I was hanging it over vertical blinds (sliding glass door) and I needed extra long ones. If you are hanging something light, they would be perfect.

Nice and sturdy rod. I have a small area in our bedroom that receives lots light and needed a darkening curtain and this rod does its job. Well made and style is not bad either.

So I wanted to take away a star for the actual bar being so thin, but I think that's more user error. I generally guess the "size" of the things I order online wrong. I ordered this because the grommet panels I have called for a bar less than one inch. This one fits, but looks a little thin. I love the bar though and the end caps are really nice.It comes with all of the hardware and the handyman who hung it for me had it up in less than ten min. We have drywall, and the screws worked well, and so far it hasn't budged even though these are not on the studs. So far I am really pleased.

Like these curtains. I put them up in my van between the cab and back where I sleep on camping trips...for privacy, to defer the light, and also the heat when it gets warmer. My only complaint is one panel was extremely wrinkled at the bottom. I sprayed with water, tugged, pulled...and wrinkles didn't budge. Next time I do laundry, I will try putting them in the dryer with wet clothes. But overall, very nice and durable and the price was right!

I bought these in a couple of different colors to keep each room a more even temperature and block out the blinding light.These are perfect for what I needed. They are more "light filtering" than "black out" - so for those of you looking for a pitch black room, these are not going to do the job. The beige makes the room more dim, but not dark. The navy, which I used in our sons' room, definitely does make it darker. If you're looking for black out, I would literally go with the black curtains paired with black out horizontal blinds.The fabric is very nice, soft and durable. I tossed them in the dryer with a few fabric sheets just to get the wrinkles out before hanging them and they came out beautifully. They are true to size. I have a triple bay window that measures 105" across the front of the living room. To create a more "full look" I used 4 panels. The loops are very wide and do accommodate wide decorative rods. I like these very much and I plan to buy more of them for other rooms in our house!

We really like this... we purchased them for our son's bedroom, and they're excellent at keeping the room dark at night. The color is exactly as shown. The reason I'm not giving them 5 stars is because I'm not in love with the texture of the fabric. That said, they do what they purport to do and look the way they claim to look. A great addition to baby's bedroom!

Nice curtains, great price. They're definitely blackout curtains The fabric is nice but just a bit limp -- the ungrommeted version with fabric back loops sags a little bit between the loops instead of standing up like the photo shows. But that's a minor quibble. They still look very nice.I found them a bit of a challenge to alter. I shortened them from 63 inches (they actually measured 62 inches) to 48 inches. I found that the reason they are such effective blackout curtains is there is a layer of black fabric sandwiched within them. Those layers make it difficult to iron a crease for a hem -- it kept springing back. The curtains are labeled 100 percent polyester, but I found I had to set my iron on the wool setting to get the fabric to behave. (If you try this, make sure you stay alert for scorching or melting.) The fabric is very stretchy too, so I found that a few puckers were unavoidable when sewing the new hem. Fortunately they're all on the window side and don't show.All that said, it's a great price for nice looking thermal blackout curtains.

I was tired of being woken up at 5 am as the sun started to come up. I got these hoping to block out all the light (since they're called blackout curtains). They blocked out most of the light. I was able to sleep in until 630. I guess I can consider that progress. As I said, they don't fully block out the light. Obviously light comes in through the sides and the top...that can't be helped. But you could still see light through the actual curtains themselves. Not as bright as it was before, but still not quite blackout. I got the beige curtains so that might be why they don't block the light completely. Maybe the darker curtains block it better.

These are a great buy as the set is less expensive than one panel at most stores. I needed something for the kid's room to block out daylight to make putting them down for naps a little easier. These did the trick as the first day they were up my son went down without a fuss which is highly unusual. The length was as described as is the color. I knocked off one star because of the smell. I had to let them air out a day before having them up. Definitely recommend

These are nice curtains; they look more expensive than their cost, but I returned them. They are listed as burgundy in color and I thought they were more red than burgundy. That's the risk one takes when ordering certain things online ......... the color isn't always the same as what appears on your computer monitor/tablet/phone. As I said, the curtains were well-made; I think they would have worked well as room darkening curtains; and I would have kept them if they were the right color. I'd recommend these curtains.

These curtains seem great, but they are a very dark navy, almost black, and didn't match my comforter like I was hoping. Also, they are like a magnet for fur, so just by taking them out of the box and walking across the room with them, they became covered in my dog and cats' fur. If you have pets, I'd stay away from these unless you don't mind constantly cleaning them. But they do seem like quality curtains.

These work great in our sons room. We got the blue ones because he already had a blue one that kinda worked so we figured if these blue ones worked then we would be good and they work well. If you REALLY want completely black out curtains maybe you should get the black ones because the ones we have don't completely black out his room but it is definitely darker in there and it definitely keeps the sun out in the morning which was what we got them for.

If you're looking for inexpensive blackout curtains these are the ones for you! I bought the black ones and I'm happy with their performance. The only place the light bleeds is from the edges but it is very minimal. My room now feels like a vegas hotel!Their sound deadening abilities leave a lot to be desired. I have no idea where they got that 60% noise reduction as I was only able to get a few decibel difference. They are fare too thin to make any real noise reduction.

I needed curtains for the bedroom which would block out the all night yard light that the neighbor has. It's annoying to have light creep in while one is trying to sleep. These curtains do the job. They come as a set of two panels and I sewed the two panels together so there is no split and just pull them across the slider door. Two panels are ample enough to fill the space and block the light. They are heavy and drape fairly well. The color is exactly what I was looking for which is a rich looking dark brown. During the day the curtain is pushed to one side and tied (ties included) and hidden behind an accent panel drape.

This rod worked for me but it is very lightweight. I had to use the center bracket to keep it from sagging. Wish I would have ordered a heavier rod instead but since this one does work, I kept it. I received it on time and in perfect condition.

It is a little flimsy in the middle so do not put something super heavy on them. The ends are a lot more square than what the picture shows. Which isn't a huge deal to me but it should be noted.

Nice looking curtain rod, and a good value for the money. It's flimsier than I expected, though. Since I'm using it for lightweight curtains, I have no complaints. These would not be suitable at all for heavier draperies.

Ok, so I think this is a case of "you get what you pay for." This was a very affordable rod. However the balls at the end do not attach in the normal style. Curtain rod end caps usually have a thin screw attachment coming out of them, and you screw it into the bar. If you were to want to change it out at any point, this is a pretty universal design. This rod does NOT use that system. The balls just get pushed into the bar, there is a chunky white piece of plastic that holds it in place. It isn't as secure and it isn't interchangeable with other designs. However, it is a very affordable curtain rod and I assume they had to cut costs somewhere! It looks good and once it is installed you can not tell that it is made with a weird connecting system.

For the price, these are very nice. Definitely a great buy. If I wasn't such a cheap, bargain shopper, I would say these are thin and cheap. The ends plug in with plastic plugs. They don't screw on. The rods are super thin compared to higher quality rods. But, they were cheap and they are holding up my curtains without a problem. I recommend them for value shoppers. I do not recommend them for high traffic areas where the curtains will be highly molested or areas where kids might pull on them often.

This rod is really small. I ordered two for small windows and they look super thin! It also holds a light weight curtain, and does not appear to be solid enough to hold a heavy curtain. I would order again for the price, but for a few bucks more I wish I ordered something of a heavier size.

The beige color curtains arrived defective. There is discoloration on the material, perhaps liquid was spilled. Also, the sewing process has left several large thick black threads in the tie backs which are on both sides.Oh the positive side, even though they are not lined with typical blackout lining, when I held them up to a window with full sun, they appeared to block all the direct light shining through the fabric. If I cannot find any locally, I will order again and hopefully they will not be defective.

The material is beautiful and flows well. I had planned to buy only the panels but then I studied the picture and liked the draping of the scarf. I was very pleased with the scarf until it was time to hang it. I searched for instructions and found none. I struggled for 40 minutes trying to emulate the picture. I was not successful. Instructions would be nice or even a few suggestions on how to approach the task.

They do the job, but they're definitely not "great" and maybe I should not expect great at this price point. The color is fine, as expected, but the curtains have areas that are completely not light blocking (as if threads were missing from some areas) - this is only noticeable when the sun is shining through the curtains, but that's when you need them to work. I will definitely be replacing these with something else when I get around to it.

I really like the curtains. They do a good job of blocking out light and the cold. I have them up on my back porch that is closed in and I use it for watching TV and reading. I got them a while ago and just put them up. Well, low and behold, there are no tie backs in any of the three packages. They state in the ad and in the order history that there are tie backs. On the packaging there isn't any place stating tie backs. That really ticked me off. If not for that fact, I would have given them five stars. Not really happy right now.

I purchased two sets for bedroom windows which are blasted with the morning sun during late spring and all summer. The heat has been mitagated somewhat as well as the brightness of the sun, but blackout is pure exaggeration. Perhaps once the sun as passed the autumn equinox, and moved further south of these windows , we will appreciate darker rooms. For now, not so much.

They block the light. They were a full two inches short on the 84" length curtains. And they were not 52" wide. One inch short there. Holy cow. I am absolutely disappointed by these curtains. I can see an inch of glass at the bottom. If they had been the right length they would have been just within 1/2 inch of the floor. I did add a 1" gather at the top. Tried the tabs and the pocket, both regally suck.

I ordered these in January and just got around to putting them up. One set was the correct length and the other set is about 4" short of length (they are only 80" long instead of 84" Looks like it's been longer than a month so I don't have the option to return them.The quality of the curtains is very nice and blocks out a lot of light.

I ordered the black panels and I cannot comment on the accuracy of length, blackout effectiveness or hanging style, because the material was very satiny, which is not what I expected. I'm returning, but very disappointed that I have to pay over $9 in shipping to return the product that 'm dissatisfied with. Excellent thermal and light blocking properties. Examine your curtains immediately to see if there are stains. I had to return 1 set and another had a stain that I did not see until I hung it up. Also, they are very wrinkled. Another reviewer mentioned washing and then drying to remove wrinkles. This did not help me. I had to IRON them. So buyer beware.

These are just heavy polyester curtains, not thermal or insulated or black out. I got the black and it blocks most light but the weave isn't tight enough to block all light. See the photo taken with daylight but not direct sun outside and if you enlarge it you will see the pinholes in the weave.They might stop some drafts but otherwise they are not stop any more heat transfer than any other heavy curtain. My swedish curtains do a better job and are better quality for a similar price.

The curtains provide good draft prevention but they came extremely wrinkled and the wrinkles would come out. I hung them and fully expected the wrinkles to fall out but they won't budge. Today, after a month of the drapes being hung up and still being terribly wrinkled, I tried steaming the wrinkle but the wrinkles still won't budge. So, if wrinkles don't bother you, the drapes are otherwise okay. The material is a bit satin/shinny, which doesn't bother me. The color is as it looks on my computer, cranberry red/maroon.

Arrived with no damage - they are very attractive - but - don't hang anything heavy on them, as they are flimsy in the middle. I bought grommet curtains to put on these - and they kind of sag towards the center.

I had the same problem that many others had in their reviews... the brackets are designed in a very poor fashion, making it nearly impossible to get the screws in place. Otherwise, they look nice (if you can get the brackets up)

Looks pretty but very soft. I bought it and took it on a trip and it broke. But, if handles with care it is ok and looks pretty good. But I would not put in a kids room or anywhere where it will encounter any form of pressure because it will bend or break.

It looks great and is affordable. You get what you pay for though, it's very flimsy. Has he hardware to secure it however will buy a different one when I have the money.

For the price it's great. Comes with the 2 end brackets and one for the middle, all the screws and plastic drywall anchors. Installation went smooth. The ends pop off and the rods slip off for easy curtain mounting. I gave it 3 stars because of it sagging so much. I had a metal bar that did not need the brace in the middle. Now i cannot push both curtains to one side.

These rods look good and are fairly sturdy. However, the screws and butterfly fasteners that come with this unit are not always the right size, and I've had to struggle and improvise just to attach them. Moreover, I putchased another one of these rods some time ago, and the screw size that came was smaller in that package.

The appearance of the curtains was very tacky. Shines. We returned them.

I got 2 sets of them b/c I have 2 windows together...They are not perfectly even with each other. 2 of the panels are definitely longer than the other 2. Weird. Whoever cuts the panels for the sewers needs to measure them better. I got beige which is not the best color either. Looks more blah in person than in the picture.

This description makes the curtains out to be truly energy efficient and blackout. They are actually just thick polyester in a single layer. While the curtains are of good quality, they are not blackout curtains or insulated for energy efficiency.

I sadly returned these curtains because there were loose threads everywhere! I couldn't believe it was already falling apart, since I had just opened the package and barely touched them. They did work in blocking out sunlight and corresponding heat to a degree, but not nearly as well as the curtains that I currently have that I got from JC Penny's for less than $20 (hence not 1 star, since it did do what it said it would do).

Not exactly blackout curtains... I was envisioning what was used in my college dorm room. It didn't help keep the sun out any better than my blinds. I bought them to try and help my 3 year old son sleep later and it didn't work. If you're looking for additional darkness, but not blackout quality these are just fine for the price. I returned them only because I needed true blackout curtains. The fabric was nice and would be compliment to any room. They come with additional microfiber "strips" with nylon loops at the end so you can draw the curtains back during the day.

I was quite disappointed by these curtains as when they arrived, one of the panels had a large stain in the middle, which becomes quite obvious when light shines through the curtains. Additionally, they are not as blackout as I had hoped they would be, and still does let some light through, especially in the mornings when it's brightest. I would not buy again through Utopia Bedding.

These window panels are very poorly made. The sewing was irregular and the material had numerous pulls and snags. There was also one panel that had a portion that was faded and a different color on part of it. I would not recommend these panels.

I ordered these in Navy blue and they sent black (VERY BLACK) curtains in navy blue labeled packaging. Everything black that I held these against confirmed that these were indeed labeled incorrectly. They are also SATIN MATERIAL. I would avoid these if you do not want a satin look to your windows.They do block out every ounce of light--so they do the job I got them for. Just very disappointed in the look and color. I would not order these again.Don't have time to return these so unfortunately they are staying where they are hanging.

Nice curtains but definitely not black out.

Ordered these curtains in 84L and came in approx 55-60L, (I did not measure but they just came below the window which is not floor length). In addition they are back tabs and 2 of the tabs came needing to be sewn as they were unattached. With all that said the material seemed to be nice and def blackouts. I am unable to return because my husband hung them and tossed the packaging before I came home. Disappointing to say the least.

Great fabric but these are regular curtains, I.dont see how they could advertise them.as black out curtains as the sun still comes through. Dissapointed since it was misleading.

End of one rod broke off while attempting to hang it. very weak metal. Be careful when installing it.

I was under the impression I was getting a great deal...the item is pretty but very cheaply made. Suitable for very light sheers, the middle of the rod immediately started to bend when hung on brackets & that's without the black out panels even on it. One good thing the brackets are included, which I ordered separately due 2 Amazons "customers that purchased this item also purchased". Overall I am pretty dissatisfied & will unfortunately have to purchase another curtain rod.

returned the first rod I ordered because the screw that holds the knob on the end was put in on a slant by whoever manufactured it so it looked crooked.the replacement rod had the same exact problem except the screw was loose so the knob at the end was also continuously looking like it was falling off.it's a pretty rod but horrible quality. returning it & ordering from somewhere else.

If your window is on the larger side of the 28-48", don't get this. When fully opened to fit a 48" window, it will bow in the middle. And it only comes with two rod brackets, so there is no way to hold up the middle. I would have returned this, but I already installed it before I realized it. I will just have to go purchase another bracket on my own. Very disappointed.

Color was more BROWN than Grey.....RETURNED

These curtains are very boring and snag very easy. They do block the light pretty well but I would not recommend them unless you don't care what they look like.

Not too impressed with this product. In less than a month the pillow shams are already falling apart and the stitching has come undone.

Beautiful color. I ordered the beige and the color is perfect for the room. However, they were sewn very carelessly and were unstitched, then re-sewn, which left very noticeable holes in the fabric. The new stitching was still very uneven and looks sloppy. I'm surprised that the curtains were sent to me instead of thrown out. Very disappointed with the quality of work.

I have the Navy and the olive color curtains and they are both great. 99.9% of the light does not get in. However, the beige is horrible at stopping light. This color should not be marketed as backout, room darkening. Sending it back as I type this review. Going to order the olive instead.

Not black out as advertised

These are not black out curtains, disappointed, would not recommend.

These curtains don't hang evenly one looks shorter than the other. The wrinkles are difficult to get out. I am disappointed in the quality. Measured and does not reach 84 inch.

Really disappointed. The grey curtains seem really cheap and sad.

We ORDERED black and these were NOT BLACK at all. Navy blue at best.Needed to darken a room so we kept them but otherwise completely disappointed since we STILL need BLACK curtains.

Unlike so many others I am not happy with these. They are not made well. They are uneven, the seams are not straight. They look like they were thrown together at the end of a slave labor shift somewhere deep in a third world country.Not worth half the price. They are going back.

A pin sized hole looks like we're the tag punctured , light emits from the little hole. I need to use them so I can return them in the future do NOT puncture the material just to put a tag . You harmed the product .

I purchased this to install a set of curtains over the blinds in my apartment. I purchased this and it said it was 5/8s diameter and then bought a curtain that could go up to a full inch. I just installed the hangers, and the rod. The Rod is weak, and it would be hard to open the curtain. But that's not the major issue. The major issue is that this curtain, designed to over anything up to and including inch couldn't get close to around this rod. At first, I thought it was the curtain, so I tried some other things in that size and they all fit. Then I measured the rod, and one part was a little over an inch and the other, thicker, half was a little less than an inch and a half. The rod was the wrong dimensions listed, both here and on the package. The quality is poor, and the dimension s are wrong. I wouldn't recommend this purchase to anyone.

Quality was very poor, very flimsy. Ended up returning it (at an expense to me) because I could find a better product for slightly more money. Would not recommend purchasing this when you can spend a little extra on something that not only looks nice, but is much higher quality.

for the price being 21.00 plus this not worth it plus i received 2 different types one square other like the picture hows this possible, my person i had put them up didn't see the difference so they are up but ends are different, very disappointed

the true size is shorter and the end cap fell off. They are black and not the oiled rubbed, don't expect it to look oil rubbed. I had to order a third one to improvise and get them to fit.
