Blocks light well
March 30, 2017
Purchased 2 of the 42x63 in Taupe for our bay window in the dining room. Purchased with a Decopolitan Core Marble Ball Double Telescoping Drapery Rod which looks great. Added some character to our plain white dining room lol Blocks out light very well and since we have them on a double rod, we can open the curtains for light and the shear curtain we already had gives us a little privacy. My cats don't drag in the curtain while trying to get into the bay window like they did before when we were just using a spring rod.
Looks great!
July 20, 2016
I bought this curtain to hang up in the doorway of my living room to hold in the a/c. I had to hem it because the doorway is a little shorter, but I knew that when I purchased it. The color scheme matches with everything and my dogs can walk through the doorway easily with the curtain there. Even though it isn't airtight, since it's just a curtain, there is a marked difference from the area where the a/c is and the outside part. It's a thicker curtain and the fabric is nice and smooth. Highly recommended!
Prevents sunlight and the colors are true to the picture.
June 2, 2016
Looks beautiful and does a great job preventing sunlight. *Note they are not blackout curtains, some light will still make it through. This light will be minimal. I have yet to have these up during the winter, but they feel heavy enough to prevent a draft from the old old windows in my place. I was afraid the color wouldn't be the same as pictured, as I have encountered that many times, but no - the colors match the pictures. Just needed a little steaming out of the package and it looks great!
but for the functionality these provide I am more the happy with the switch
January 20, 2016
Bought these specifically to keep heat in and the cold out from our very drafty apartment windows. There is a HUGE noticeable difference, enough so that we can get away without putting up that plastic insulating film (which is what we've done in the past) and don't need to break out the space heater while the temps keep rising and dropping so drastically every few days. We weren't looking for blackout curtains, so I was hopeful when these were described as light filtering instead. It is certainly darker than our old curtains, but you can still tell when it is day verses night. I wish they came in a little more variety as I'm missing the look of my old patterned curtains, but for the functionality these provide I am more the happy with the switch.
and they were perfect, they do block most of the light
March 11, 2015
These are really high quality curtains - though I have to state they are not completely black-out. That was not the criteria I purchased them with, mine was to provide privacy for some transom windows next to a porch door, and they were perfect, they do block most of the light, but not everything. They are lined , and the stitching is well done - they are well constructed, and the material is really nice. I washed them and the wrinkles came out, and those that didn't came out when I hung them, thanks to the microfiber material. I was worried about color but they were true; the mineral blue looked exactly as pictured, and they have a very slight sheen due to the material. I would recommend these as a great purchase.
Great for blocking light and drafts. Great value.
February 15, 2015
I ordered two panels to try them out and to see the color in person. I love the color as it blends perfectly with our wallpaper. I have ordered enough now to cover the French doors and two windows on each side of the bed. The curtains hide the sunshine and allow us to sleep until it is time to get up. They perform very well keeping the cold draft out of our once chilly bedroom. All in all, I really am glad I found these and am very happy with them. These curtains are a great value. Surprising quality for a very modest price.

PITCH BLACK! Love these curtains.. I've tried multiple other brands, these are by far the best!
December 4, 2014
I desperately needed great blackout curtains for when I have to work nightshifts..and these are AMAZING! I ordered the black set and (compared to a previous "blackout curtain" purchase from a department store) these are beyond compare. The sun rises in my bedroom window and even with the bright sun shining.. it is almost COMPLETELY pitch black in my room. I can't speak for any of the other colors but if you truly need "black out" buy black! If you don't like it for your color/decor scheme, do a second set of curtains of your choice on an outer rod.. (Which is what I did!). Also, side note.. The fabric of these curtains is very nice, high quality. The width was a little long for my window so where it bunched up, there was some light peeking through the bottom.. so I cut the seam on the bottom part of the curtain on the side>>Just big enough to fit a skinny pvc pipe, put that in the bottom pocket trim and now it's just heavy enough to lie flat against the wall, even with having extra fabric scrunched up. And literally no light is coming through!!! The pictures I took are 30 seconds apart!!!
Nice and thick, great color (grey), love these!
November 10, 2014
We purchased these to help insulate the large windows we have in our sun room to help keep down heating costs, and they work great! We definitely feel a big different from having these up compared to our previous cotton curtains. The curtains are thick, well hemmed, the fabric used gives the curtain a great soft feel, and they do a great job blacking out the light and holding back the cool air.
We picked up the Grey tone, which looks to have a bit of a blue hue to it, but I'm not sure because the room we have ours in is blue itself, regardless, they look amazing!
Due to our windows width, we had to pick up 4panels and have two on each side of the window. Seeing as the panels are so thick to begin with, when you have to draw them back to let in the light, they tend to get bunched up and not want to budge. For this reason, we wish we pulled the trigger on getting the curtains with grommets built-in, they would probably slide on the poll easier, but by no means is this enough to deduct a star.
When pulled back, both curtains, though extremely thick, fit nicely inside the curtain holdback hooks. Though the set does comes with tie-backs and they look great! They are the same material as the curtain but still manage to offer a nice accent to the curtains. They're cut with an angle to offer up a bit more visual style when the curtains are held back and include two loops made from a very durable string.
It's nice to see that the company put as much thought and care into their tie-backs as they did with the overall curtain design and build!

Great curtains, love these!
Amazing
September 11, 2014
these things really do filter 99% of light. You can tell its day outside, but you will not be disturbed by light. The curtains are held on the rod with loops, kinda like belt loops. so you can easily get the two sides to over lap each other so as to not worry about light getting through the middle. and the curtains aren't scruffed like the look in the picture, you can draw them out most of their length. So if you have about a 48" or less window, you'd only need one curtain to cover the entire thing.

They do mask sound somewhat, but not enough to really list as a feature. However the heat these things refract is amazing.
Fooled my kids, haha suckers
December 20, 2013
I got these things because my kids always wake up when the sun rises, which is awful. These things fixed that.

They're also great for the summer when you have to put them to sleep while the sun is still out at night.
Great Curtains!
June 14, 2010
*Please be sure to watch my video of both the pink and brown curtains and see my images I posted - note I put 54" but meant 84"* Okay - so I read the 3 bad reviews on this product. I bought these curtains for my daughter's room because she is extremely sensitive to the light and wakes up as soon as the sun starts to rise. After purchasing them, I was wandering through Target and suffered serious buyers remorse when I saw "blackout curtains" for half the price! Well, I bought those, intending to return these as soon as they arrived. Boy, was I disappointed when the Target "blackout" curtains barely blocked half the light! When these arrived, we promptly removed our Target curtains, placing them in the playroom instead (where she has sleepovers) and installed these. The room went black - just like in the hotels! The curtains hang nicely and although they are not quite the color pictured, they work well in her room. It's summer now, school has let out, and my baby has been sleeping until noon! Wow! What a difference. Oh, and I checked Wallyworld. Those curtains that are half the price - are only one panel! By the time you buy two panels, you've paid the same price anyway - or nearly so. Oh, and one other thing, my daughter's room, which was the hottest room in the house in the summer, and the coldest in the winter - is now quite chill in the summer, thanks to the insulating quality of these panels. I'll post a video review as soon as my daughter cleans her room! I plan to purchase 3 more sets soon for the guest rooms as I find these are an *excellent* value! Although probably not in beige ;)

BEWARE - 1 NOT 2

The biggest complaint is that the question/answer is very deceptive. There is only 1 NOT a pair of 2 panels.
Mineral Color is more sage green than blue
January 18, 2016
If you think Mineral is blue, think again. It's more of a sage green. It looks blue in the picture. It was disappointing but not a big deal as we got the curtains to act as barrier to stop hot air rising to our 2nd floor. We hung these with a tension rod on our stairs to keep more of the warm air on the 1st floor. The curtains also ironed out very nicely on a 3 setting for polyester.
Good for price, color not as shown.
November 26, 2014
I just hung these and steamed them with the steam setting on my iron, it worked pretty well. I think the rest of the wrinkles and lines from packaging with fall out as they hang. The color is much darker than what is shown, it is almost silver grey, not very blue. They do block a lot of light and a decent amount of noise.Overall, for the price, they are great.
Nice item. Quick shipping

Nice item. Quick shipping. These thermal lined curtains change the complete complexion of a room. Good looks as well as heat retention which is important in a cold weather state.
Helps keep our drafty house warmer!
November 11, 2014
I would definitely recommend these panels! These help cut down the draftiness of our old, Victorian home. I allowed them to hang for a week before I attempted to steam them to remove the package creases. It worked very well and they look great! I combined these with a fancier style valance and tassel tieback to create a Victorian look. The only bad thing was that there are a few pin-hole size holes in the thermal backing on the panels. They are so small and the curtains hang so well that they are not seen unless you are really looking for them. The price was great especially since I needed panels for 8 windows in just 2 rooms. I also used these to cover drafty doors and attached metal clips to the top for ease in pulling back. It made for a great look and it works very well.
Not completely blacked out
November 3, 2014
NOT as great as the Eclipse brand but they do the job. I really like this color, Mineral. Not blue, not gray, not green - it's a nice blended color all around. Does not block out ALL the light but it's faint enough to still be black out curtains. The Eclipse Kendall Blackout Thermal Curtain on Amazon here is much better than these, close to same in price and are black out complete. But they did not have this color which is what I wanted.

Keeps room dark and cool
May 1, 2017
Good quality material, and keeps thing dark. This review is for the BLACK color, blackout curtains only. These have done a great job in not only keeping the light out, but keeping my room cool during the recent hot days (80-90F) I would buy again. I am using Umbra Twilight Room-Darkening Curtain Rod for Window, 48 to 88-Inch, Auburn Bronze curtain rod and it keeps it flush on the sides.
This morning we had a thunderstorm and he did much better. It seems to help that he can't see ...
August 4, 2016
I bought these for my bedroom because I have a dog who is terrified of thunderstorms and nothing I have tried has helped him. This was the last thing I could think of to try. This morning we had a thunderstorm and he did much better. It seems to help that he can't see the lightening. While they muffled the thunder some, they weren't as good at blocking noise as I had hoped for which is why I only gave them 4 stars. He did go from normally being frantic to just being nervous so overall I am happy with them. I will be ordering more for the rest of the house.
Black panels are great for blacking out your room..If you live near Ikea you may find same or better item there.
June 5, 2015
I got the black panels. I wish they were 2 to 4 inches wider, though that is hardly a reason to knock a star.
My reason for the 4 star instead of 5 is that the panels are full of tiny pin-size holes throughout so in a dark room looking at the panels you definitely can see light. Now before you go running for the cancel order button (or another product), I should also point out that the holes are small enough that they are NOT noticeable at all with your eyes closed, and I sleep less than 3 feet from these panels (head facing the panels). If I had to guess, their 99% claimed rating (by surface area) is still likely to be accurate.

The fabric feels very nice, they are I would say 'medium weight', and they don't have that nasty rubber-like coating that some other black out panels have (that smells, falls off over time with washing and makes the panels super stiff). These drape very nicely.

So then, why not 5 if they work so great?
1) They are not 100% -some dark gray black-out curtains I got from IKEA are much closer to 100% than these, I don't remember any pin-pricks of light on those and they were similar to cheaper priced.
2) I have concerns about the now tiny pin-pricks 'growing' with wash and over time
3) the loops on the back for the rod are, in my opinion, too close to the top of the panel, not leaving enough of a 'top' to fluff and block more light from escaping over the top. I could raise the rod higher still to fix that but if the loops had been 1-2 inches lower down I wouldn't have to.
not a drape, but effective for their price
February 13, 2015
its not awesome, but for ~$35, they're decent. they do black out a room enough that i feel if you were a nightshift worker, it'd be passable, but it wouldnt be with high marks. the material is very thin, and you can see what equates to looking at a starry night through them. im attaching a picture taken with my phone that does the best i can to describe it.

that said, they're still not bad for the price, but for just a little more you can get much thicker/more presentable shades. if blacking out on a budget, these are great. if going for presentation, i'd recommend going for a thicker material. this is for my home theater, so i believe ill go for something more like a drape, but i'd have rocked these in college when i worked night shifts.
Great quality curtains, but I am sending them back.
January 21, 2013
Great quality curtains for the price, but I am sending them back. I ordered the chocolate color. Just because they didn't work for me, does not mean that they won't work for you. He is the low down on these curtains:

Pros:
-Soft and Buttery fabric.
-Nice thick fabric that I have no doubt would block light and save on energy bills.
-Comes with 2 panels and 2 tie backs
-Offer two different ways to hang them: full rod pockets and tab pockets.

Cons:
-The brown is a soft brown with orange undertones. This may be good for people that carry warms browns throughout their house (cherry cabinets/furniture), but I have dark true browns (espresso cabinets/furniture) in mine.
-The panel does not have white backing. I live in a townhome and am required to have white/neutral backing to all colored drapes/curtains.
-The tie backs were not that great looking. They had white loops on them which did not look good with the chocolate fabric. Just my opinion.

If the color was more of a true and rich dark brown, rather than a warm brown I would have kept these. I would have purchased liners and used my current tie backs. These a great value, so I am a little disappointed. I have already ordered a replacement pair that look like they will fit the bill.

I am happy with the appearrance of these curtains
June 6, 2015
I am happy with the appearrance of these curtains, they do block the sunlight and that makes the room a lot cooler, but they have a horrible odor. I have washed them twice and used extra dryer sheets to try and get rid of the smell but once they are hung back up and heat from the sun hits them the smell comes back!
Great Thermal Curtain for Large openings
February 28, 2015
While they are a bit "rubbery", they definitely keep the cold out and that is what I was looking for. Also appreciated that I could get the 94 inch long ones - I have a house from 1807 and the doors are HUGE - these fit nicely.
Worth buying...beware of color inconsistency.
February 16, 2015
I ordered two of these curtains in blue. When they arrived, they looked more grey-ish in color...not AT ALL the lovely blue color pictured. Luckily, the color didn't look terrible in my living room so I kept them to avoid the hassle of returning. The quality is decent...could be better. I find Eclipse brand to be the best...but for the price, these weren't bad. I bought them as winter curtains to keep the room insulated...they get the job done.
OK for the price I guess..
November 25, 2014
I guess I shouldn't have expected good quality for the price. I washed them immediately to hang...followed the washing instructions. I had to iron to get the package wrinkles out. They were quite difficult to get out. Turned up the heat and steam on my iron...and that seemed to be better. Hung them...they still seemed to have a good many wrinkles. I bought them as an energy saving window cover...although I have good windows ...wanted extra protection for this cold winter. They seem to do Okay for that...I open them on sunny days...close them on cold nights.

Good Blackout. Be ready for flaws. I will deal with the flaws for the price I paid
February 9, 2017
Make sure you pay no more for these than you would a blackout curtain at one of your discount stores. I have seen them go for less than 40$ a pair and some are listed for 120$ a pair (THATS THREE TIMES AS MUCH and not worth the higher prices!). Price varies with the same seller. I have the grey ones and they are fantastic at blacking out the light without having an ugly white liner on the back. Its one layer of polyester material so they look the same on front and back and block a lot of light.

The first pair I received was the "best home fashion" name brand. It was packaged with the manufacture printed insert at the front of the package like any curtain you would see at the store. The next EIGHT panels I ordered (a month later) from the same seller "Best Home Fashion" were knock-offs and were in unmarked plastic packaging. They do not match in length (even the pair packaged together) and the hem at the bottom is twice as big on the nice name brand ones and the stitching is clearly cheaper and wide spaced. I keep sending them back and asking for the REAL best home curtains to match the ones I bought the first time but am giving up now. I will keep the ones I have for 2 guestroom windows that I want good black out for but I can not hang 4 panels on the one large window I was wanting to use them on because of the inconsistencies. Even the knock off set I am keeping will have to be re-stitched at the bottom to make sure they touch the ground the same as each other.
They were right: white color NOT light-blocking like dark ones... but still good thermal blockers, easy 2 wash, no wrinkles
July 8, 2014
I took a chance - everyone said the light colors do not block light well, and they are so right!

My husband has allergies, so what started all of this is my old light-blocking curtains (black) were great, but when we washed them due to dust, the light-block backing turned to glue and stuck all together and ruined them (others have reported this with various brands as an issue). The room they're in is fairly small, so I wanted lighter colored curtains to 'open up' the room feel.

The video is misleading - if there is a layer of black fiber woven through these, then they're magicians because when they are hanging on my wall, you can see sunlight through them - and there is no color-change, and nothing black that's visible.

LIGHT-BLOCKING:
They work well for our space, so we're 'dealing' with it so far - but I will absolutely have to buy an opaque white light-blocking panel and pay to have snaps put onto them by a tailor, which is going to significantly increase the cost... but if they're going to be washable, i'll have to pull that plastic light blocking panel off to wash them.

COLOR: the off-white is actually a dark vanilla/light tan color with warm undertones, somewhat darker than pictured.

THERMAL: they do have good thermal blocking properties - there is a noticeable difference when you feel between the curtain and window the temp is much hotter, so it's doing its job with regards to blocking heat that beats down on the room all afternoon.

BOTTOM LINE: looks nice, no wrinkles out of the package, falls nicely, good weight, washable fabric w/o the 'rubbery' backing that typically causes problems when washing these type of curtains BUT the white color is nowhere near 90% light-blocking - more like heavy-duty curtains of any kind ... maybe 70% light-blocking without another assistive device, and about 80% with a commercial white plastic louver blind behind it. For better coverage, tack on an opaque light-blocking plastic sheet or have a tailor sew on a dense, dark fabric layer to the backing.
Some good- but overall, cheesy
September 30, 2013
These curtains have so much potential but the construction ruins the entire effect. They can either be hung through pockets on the back that create a pleated effect or through a rod pocket that creates a ruffle effect. Nice idea.
The bad news: They do not hang evenly at all. The bottoms of the curtains curl and the hems do not match. I haven't washed them, but I did follow directions, putting them in the dryer with a damp cloth. The results are very wrinkled curtains and the stitching tension is awful. Whoever assembled these used a sewing machine with bad tension because the stitches cause the sides to curl up. Also, there are spots where the blackout fabric shows- I have the beige curtains and some sort of black fabric is sticking out the seams. I suppose it is the blackout material. I may try to alter them, but the fabric is the type where previous stitching will show if I rip out the existing stitching. I wish I could return them but due to remodeling set backs, I had ordered these for use weeks ago in anticipation of the contractors being done in a reasonable time...another story, but not the fault of the curtains.
Dark colors work, but not real black out/light block curtains
October 10, 2012
The finish is velvety

The look nice and accurate to the photo (as least the ten I purchased were)

The core material is actually a foam so you get pin prick light bleed on occasion depending on how direct/intense the outside light is.

Nice and cheap and you get a little more than you pay for. The dark colors work very well overall despite not being a "real" light block material. I would not touch the light colors because they just wouldn't block out the light and complaints on here have indicated that hunch is true.

It seems like they might block out the cold alright. They don't do anything noticeable to block out heat (at least the darker colors don't). I'm not sure where the solid thermal insulated portion of the name is coming from. There are no materials within the fabric specific to that function so you shouldn't expect it or you'll be disappointed.

Overall worth it, but a little misleading with the naming of the product.
Pick your colors wisely
September 2, 2010
I have these curtains in "Sky Blue" and in "Navy Blue" for my daughter's and my son's rooms, respectively. The navy curtains are complete black-out curtains - they let no light in through the curtains themselves (there is some slight light from the tops and the bottoms where the curtains do not meet the wall - I would think this is to be expected). I was so thrilled with them that I bought the lighter blue curtains for my daughter's room. The Sky Blue curtains are NOT complete black-out curtains. They are heavy-duty and they do block more light than other brands of non-black-out curtains that I have in other rooms, but they do allow some back-lighting shining through, which is disappointing.

However, they do seem to work very well to keep temperatures in the room down. I suspect that the darker colors work much better than the light colors at preventing light, but all both colors do a nice job as thermal curtains. I like the material, and the colors are well-represented on this page. Overall, I am pleased, but people should be aware that they will need to purchase dark colors in order to get black-out curtains.

I am sending these back as the color in the photo is nothing like the actual product. The color is gray, not blue/gray as in picture. Back to searching!
Not so blacked out curtains
August 16, 2015
I don't feel like these are true blackout curtains. They still let a lot of light in. We've had other blackout curtains and we would have to have the light on to have any light on the room. Not so with these. I'm not too impressed.
Cheap. Nothing more.
June 14, 2015
i bought these as thermal shades for a big window. Price was the obvious cobsideration, and what I got was cheap curtains. Don't seem to be thermal shades in the least and help less than the thermal sheers I replaced. Look fine, and the fabric seems tolerably strong, but everything else screams cheap, don't buy.
Not a black out curtain
May 9, 2015
Sun zero doesn't mean that it's a black out curtain by any means. It does an ok job, but if you really want to block out light look elsewhere.
Not like the photo
January 5, 2015
Nothing like the photo. It was only one panel, which now that I re-read I see that. It was so wrinkled it needed to be ironed. It was not "thermal lined" just a microfiber Curtin. I would have returned it but that was more of a hassle. Next time I'll just go to Wal-Mart. I wouldn't recommend it or buy another.

Think again, if its for decreasing the Temperature in the room.
September 12, 2016
Considering they are advertised as thermal, extremely disappointed in the poor performance. I live in the sunny southwest - extreme sun / heat. They did not decrease the temperature as promised. If you wanted them for room darkening they are decent. I would not recommend them.
NOT blackout curtains
April 6, 2016
These curtains don't block 100% light, at night there is still light coming in and in the morning plenty of light shines through. They block a lot of light but as you can see from the photo light still comes through.
Other than this, they are nice material and a good color.
The did not pleat nicely like the picture shows
April 23, 2015
I have purchased this brand of curtain before in the grommet style. This time, I chose the tab top since I had planned to use tension rods and wanted the full coverage at the top of the window to block the most light. They looked awful! They did not pleat nicely like the picture shows, they were a mess. And, when closed, the two panels cannot lay nicely together and the seams show and just look disheveled. I am going to get the grommet ones instead and just install a regular curtain rod.

Also, if you have never ordered blackout curtains before, the light colors (mine are the beige) will not block 100%. They still offer noticeable darkening, but it is not as dramatic as the dark colors. For instance, I have blinds, and the light that shines through the holes on the side is clearly visible through the curtains.
Inconsistent sizes. Had to return for a refund
July 21, 2014
We ordered a set of the beige color curtains about a year ago because when the sun sets it's in the direct path of our living room window. It's been working great and have no complaints about it. We ordered the 3 black curtains for our rooms and the first set I opened was really small. I saw the packaging when I opened up the Amazon box and told my wife it doesn't look like the packaging we had before. I should have opened the packaging right then and there. Instead I went to Walmart and bought a curtain rod and when we put them on the hooks and set it up it was extremely short compared to the beige curtain we originally bought a year ago. About 6 inches or so, which, with our windows doesn't work out. I didn't open the other packages. I requested a refund and Amazon obliged. I will always shop Amazon and love their customer support. Too bad these curtains don't work for us. It gets 2 stars for it being a good product initially with our beige curtain, but I took away 3 stars for wasting my time and the black curtain being too short.
Your mileage may vary
July 15, 2012
I bought these curtains for light control in a room I use as my home theatre. So I am very sensitive to the amount of light that gets through. While I'm certainly happy with the look and feel of these curtains, they certainly (in my location, with afternooon sunlight shining directly on them) are NOT "blackout" curtains. I can't estimate the percentage of light, but you can see the sunlight shining on them, and they are nowhere near dark enough for my purposes. Back to the drawing board for me ... this was unfortunately a waste of my money.

I purchased these two years ago to be privacy panels at night. Overall, they have been okay, but the rubber back sticks together. After washing them, following instructions except hanging them dry, the rubber coating is falling off in clumps.so now I have blotchy panels. I guess it is time to find something I like better.
Not what I expected
October 4, 2016
I won't lie, I was excited. I had read all of these questions and answers and reviews. I saw one of the questions, someone asked if it was two panels in a pack. The answer was yes. I was super excited, because for the price and the quality that the reviews sware by,i thought I was getting the deal of a life time. I ordered two packs of ivory for our two large Windows in our bedroom. They came in and there was one panel per pack which was only enough to cover my one window. As far as the quality, they are alright, but not what I thought. I can't attest exactly for the "thermal" part of them because that's something that's hard to tell if a curtain is helping in our Mississippi weather, but I can tell you that as far as the light filtering I would rate the ivory color in particular right above if we were to hang a table cloth over our window. I fell as though a table cloth would filter anywhere from 25-30% of the light and I would rate these at about a 40-50%.... The color is nice, I just feel like for a single panel I could have gotten some of the same (or better) quality per piece at Wal Mart or Target.
These are not good at all

These are not good at all. I ordered ivory which look off white/ cream in the pic. Let me tell you... They are NOT that color in real life. They are yellowish and look extremely yellow when you put them up and he sun shines through. As far as blocking the sun... That is a lie as well. Don't waste your money. Spend a little bit more on nicer ones. I will be returning mine.
More like a dark clay gray

I ordered the mineral color and they were very dark. More like a dark clay gray. The photo made them look more like a spa blue.
Not Zero Sun
July 1, 2015
This is a very ugly curtain, and it doesn't do anything to keep light out, see my photo of light coming right through the curtain. The fabric reminds me of a cheap graduation gown. Unfortunately I threw out the packaging or I'd definitely return this awful thing. If you need reduced light curtains, look elsewhere, it doesn't block the sun and the wine/red looks just like you've hung a maroon high school graduation gown on the window. So disappointed in the cheap ugliness of this curtain!!
Definately not "zero sun" curtains
September 30, 2014
I bought two of these curtains - it's important to note that they come one to a pack. I am very disappointed, these curtains do not have any extra lining and let through a lot of sunlight. I guess you get what you pay for - these would be okay maybe in a living room, but they're not the black out curtains I was hoping for.

Darkened but not 'blackout'
April 26, 2017
I ended up returning these because the light still came through which defeated the entire purpose. I work third shift and was looking for something to make the room completely light free to help me sleep. The curtains were soft and the color pretty but that's a lot to pay when they don't block light like you expect.
This order has become a waste of time
April 3, 2017
These do not block allnlight is used alone! If you have other shades and these are the second level then they work but if these are your only protection against the light then you will be dissapointed. Im returning and asking fornandefund because these are advertised as "black out", not "black out if you already have a shade". Im extremely dissappinted as i live in Germany and in the summer months the sun doesnt set until late night. This order has become a waste of time. This seller should not call these blackout curtains.
I can see through these!
December 26, 2016
Not even close to blackout curtains. I have the black ones and can easily see through them enough to distinguish the trees in front of my house against the snow on the yard and the sky. I had bought a shorter set for another house in 2013, and those are solid, cannot see through blackout curtains. So I bought the same brand, just needed them longer, and wound up with these. No idea what happened, why these "blackout curtains" are so much worse than the ones I already have.
Total disappointment

I was so disappointed in these! I bought them for the noise reduction and they did nothing- they also didn't block the light. The material is thin and flimsy and polyester feeling, like cheap Halloween costume. I sent them back.
Do Not Buy
November 5, 2014
Very see through, cheap material and NOT what I was expecting based on product description and reviews. They even make the pictures look like there's a white panel on the backside to add insulation--- it's nonexistant. It's a very very cheaply made product. Not worth the money. You could find something better for cheaper at Walmart!
