Perfect color, blocks out light
May 23, 2017
These are perfection!! I ordered the sky blue which is exactly the color shown in the picture-light, not too bright but not too gray. It's a great neutral blue that can be paired with other shades like navy or denim or other colors like gray. Color was obviously most important to me. The grommets are an antique bronze, another must have for me. The material is thick but not heavy, silky but not sheen or shiny. It looks like it's the kind that will be easy to wipe clean, fingers crossed. Even this light color blocks out the light amazingly. The tie backs are a big plus as well. Great value, I highly recommend!
Wonderful drapes.
April 29, 2017
First I bought them for the den and they looked awesome and the blackout quality is A-1. In fact they looked so good I bought them for the family room patio doors, shortly followed by the small side windows. One I had all these installed I thought why not replace the draft curtain and I've just put them up. Believe me, no one buys 4 sets of drapes if they are not 100% happy with the product. For such a reasonable price the quality of the curtains is wonderful. They have a slight sheen which gives them a touch of ambience when the sun hits them, I purchased the burgundy color and it is exactly the same as is depicted on the website. I see that some folk are having a problem with a room darkening issue, I drew the curtains in the middle of the day and the room was totally darkened, great product.
Delicious velvet red color
April 29, 2017
I bought these for the red velvet look for my movie theater and they don't disappoint. The color is spot on for a theater. They do a good job stopping light though I have a blind and two moving blankets in the window behind it blocking out all light. The curtain looks great and has nice holes for the curtain rod. The inside is red as well, not white which frankly looks odd. It is really long though. I'm glad I got mine regardless of length, though I need to take it up a little.
Soft feel, nice hang
March 6, 2017
These are very nice drapes. Expensive feel without the expensive price tag. Yes, they arrive with creases. I washed mine in warm water, reg cycle and dried on low heat. Came out very very nice. They make a huge difference in the amount of cold radiating off the windows (or heat). They are room darkening as well. I've also noticed they cut down on a lot of outside noise, so for me that's a plus. I bought one set for my living room, one for my dining room and one for my slider to the back yard. Going to buy two more for my bedroom windows.
Great price great product
November 22, 2015
Could not believe how wonderful the quality of these are! I was looking for cheap and really didn't believe they were going to be that great of black out shades. Boy was I wrong!! Great quality and I've got a baby room w a window the faces the setting sun NO light comes thru. Going to swap all my window curtains to these!!
These absolutely block the light!
April 28, 2013
I was a little skeptical about all the reviews on here, but desperately needed some blackout curtains to help me sleep. I bought the chocolate brown, and they work perfectly! I put them up and they instantly blocked out the light. They even help keep my bedroom cooler. One of the curtains has a small flaw in the middle of it which I noticed when ironing, but given the price I don't think that was a major issue. They also slide really easily along the rod I put up, making opening and closing really easy. The rod I bought is 1" around and works great. If you need blackout curtains I strongly urge you to try these in brown!

Love these curtains.. keep the room really dark..
November 11, 2015
These curtains are awesome. We have street lights outside the house so our bedrooms aren't very dark. Our earlier curtains were lined but even with that the room was not as dark as these are. In fact these curtains have made a significant difference - its not even comparable to our earlier "room darkening" curtains !! And these are so lightweight and drape beautifully... I bought these for 2 bedrooms in our house - one set in maroon and the other in beige. Both keep the light out at night. In the daytime the beige curtains do let a little more light in, but it still really darkens up the room. Absolutely love these curtains... wish I had found these earlier !

Update Dec 2016: Picked up a navy blue set for the guest bedroom in our house over 6 months back. My daughter started sleeping in this bedroom a few weeks ago due to a noisy fan in her room, and she now refuses to move out of this room as the room is nice and dark at night ! So picking up a fourth pair of these curtains today (in black) for her bedroom...

If you need room darkening curtains - these are the best ! Also love that they are so lightweight, drape beautifully and they are non bulky so when you want the curtains open to let the light in, they can be pushed totally to the side, unlike many other room darkening curtains that tend to be bulky and heavy...
Love love love!
October 3, 2015
Love these curtains!!! OMG, worth every cent. The fabric is heavy, well structured, has a feeling of luxury. Hangs perfectly. Best darken curtains I have ever come across by far! Being a night shift worker, I love the fact that it's one large panel. I also bought a curtain rod that curves at the ends (Target). Room stays dark! Highly recommended.
GREAT BUY
November 3, 2014
i read many good reviews on this curtain and have to say they were correct. I purchased the chocolate extra width to use on my glass slider door. the material is really nice, the curtains are thick, soft, block out the light and the cold. I didn't try the instructions on how to get rid of the wrinkles/folds but ironed them, which was a bit of a challange due to the extra width but they ironed nicely and look great. I really, really love this curtain. the color is exactly like described and looks like chocolate. highly recommend this curtain to keep out the cold weather and light. i won't use them in the warm months, have other curtains for that but the cold weather, these are GREAT!!!!!
Sliding glass door curtains and I LOVE them!
October 20, 2014
I love these curtains! I love the thickness, the weight of these! They really do feel soft, yet with a feeling of heaviness that makes these drape beautifully. Color: Beige - the picture is not accurate, although I would say the color name is accurate. These are a light khaki (not dark)..my husband wears khaki colored pants to work everyday, so I do know the color..it's slightly lighter then a normal man's khaki colored causal pant. My walls are the creamy/ivory color that these are supposed to be, and they look great with them. I used a one inch brushed nickel rod at Big Lots (discounted merchandise from other stores) and I LOVE the antiqued coppery bronze against the silver color of the rod. I have a ceiling fan with the brushed nickel, in my dining room, which is close to my kitchen..there are elements of browns, blacks, silver..so the color does well. I used TWO 100 inch panels WITH a middle support bracket..and I LOVE that you can leave one closed, the other partially opened on one side, or push both to the far edges of the rod to see out. When you are holding the grommets together for one panel, they are exactly 3 inches, so, you will need to hang the rod 4 inches out (the bracket holder takes 1 inch) past the frame of your sliding glass door, so that you have access to the door handle without touching the curtains. These are not completely blackout curtains..they do have a very soft glow, but they do keep the hot sun from shining in, and, I've noticed on these chilly mornings, that they do keep the coldness from the window, on the other side, which is where I want it to be. I would say these are more casual, but can be dressed up, as I did by adding a decorative wrought iron wall hanging. Feel free to ask questions!

Update 6/4/2015 - Made it through a very cold Virginia winter, and I will say, I still love my curtains! They really helped tremendously on keeping out that cold air. Now that it's getting warmer, I've had to close the curtains several mornings because of direct sunlight..and you can tell immediately they not only block out the sun, (a soft glow, not total blackout) but keeps out the heat. Will update this once we get through the worse of summer. *side note: because I let my dogs out several times a day, many times I'll go outside with them..and instead of closing the glass door, I've even closed the curtains and left the door open even though I have a screen..the heaviness of the curtains keep out the bugs, while not letting in heat in or cool out, for short periods of time, while I walked around in my back yard.
Very Surprised
August 14, 2013
I am building a small vacation rental company and needed some curtains for a new unit. I found these very quickly, but decided to search elsewhere because the reviews were hit and miss and I thought I could do better. After searching tirelessly and becoming honestly astonished at the lack of large panel style curtains I went with these. I needed 100 inches wide and 84 inches high and I could not find anything that would suffice anywhere else. I went for it and bought the large Blackout Curtain in Olive, and also some smaller styles that were not the "Blackout" style.

I am excited and surprised at how nice these curtains are. The color is great, and I was not sure what to expect with the odd computer generated images they show on the website, and the fabric is awesome. I am impressed at the quality of the fabric and the stitching involved. I especially like the bigger Blackout style panels. They are beautiful, and I am a 26 year old male saying that. The price was right, and the curtains are above and beyond what my girlfriend and I expected. Awesome fabric and the grommets at the top are solid and very good looking.

I reluctantly bought these because I couldn't find anything else, and now I can't think of anything better. I give these curtains a big Gold Star.

Good Luck!

Beautiful, sturdy, great cust service
July 20, 2017
Beautiful, sturdy, easy to put up. Read in the reviews about people having trouble with bracket install due to curved design. Sure, a little harder to reach with a general screwdriver, but if you're experienced at all in putting things up and using tools, you can get around it and make it work. I was worried, but once I did it thought "this was not near as bad as some reviewers made it out." Loved the size/thickness for our grommet curtains.Update: love these and bought another for a different room. Had some delivery issues and customer service was phenomenal and prompt. Extremely happy with the outcome and highly recommend this product from this company.
Sturdy
April 9, 2017
I have eight sets of these Decopolitan curtain rods in our home. They are deep bronze in color. The end caps are classy. The holders install easily and look great. I spanned a long section of window by using this three section rod without having to have a middle support. You can only do that if you order the longest possible size for your window application. This is nice because I used two sets of these rods together in a fifteen foot section of windows where I did not want any curtains except on the ends. The rods are sturdy and holding some rather substantial curtain in this application.
Nice looking rods
October 13, 2016
I ordered these rods as well as the matching hold backs with urn finials in warm bronze. I am quite pleased with them. The color is warm but it is a very dark bronze, almost a black-brown. They are sturdy but lightweight and should easily support any drape. The urn is a very classic design and versatile. Mine are paired with teal colored drapes but they would look good with a warm linen color or just about any color, though I would choose the silver for navy blue or burgundy drapes. I think they look really nice, and for the price, they are a good quality. I am definitely tempted by rods with very expensive, unique finials, but the economist in me usually rules the day. I would recommend the matching urn hold backs as well to complete the look. I would like to add that I had absolutely no problem installing these rods. Piece of cake.
Love it
February 28, 2016
Outstanding look and a quality far superior to the curtain rods I had previously from a local department store. Installation was quick (only about 15 minutes) and very simple. For anyone reading other reviews about the design issue on the wall mounts... It certainly could have been designed better but it is not a major issue if you simply screw in the top screw first and hold bracket with the top screw being center and the bottom at either 3 or 9 as if looking at a clock face. Once the top screw is tightened you can simply rotate the bracket to align the bottom screw at that point, much easier than trying to tighten the top screw from above.
Nice look
December 4, 2015
Very nice curtain rod, we have it expanded to 120", at this length when you mount the rod it feels and looks like it will bow, but with the supplied center support it holds our heavy black out curtains nicely. No sagging at all, even when opening and closing the curtains. Other reviewers have mentioned that the top screws don't go in straight, its true! The bracket design makes it difficult to get them in straight. But while mine angled in, a right angle screw driver mounted them flush with the bracket. I have no issues with that at all. Everything is color matched so unless you're looking for it you won't really see it. Mine mounted nicely and are very sturdy.Three brackets are provided and extend 4.75" from the wall and are about 2.75" tall(mounting flange) and are made of some type of cast metal. My only suggestion get better screws, the ones provided deform pretty easy. The rods fit into each other pretty snugly with no excess play between the pieces. Overall they were better than what I could find locally.
it can hold up 2 heavy blackout curtains just fine.

They definitely looked much better hanging. I ordered the sky blue
April 19, 2017
I was hesitant about the color when I opened the box but went ahead and hung these curtains to see how they looked. They definitely looked much better hanging. I ordered the sky blue. They work great at darkening the room. I have them in my dining room so I didn't need absolute black out but you tell a major difference when they are closed. The only problem I had was these are actually 87" in length not 90". But I made it work by lowering the rod. I didn't want to go through the hassle of returning. Overall I am happy with this purchase.
Good quality curtains
December 10, 2016
The material is soft to the touch but sturdy and well made, good quality. The rings are large and slide easily along the curtain rod. These curtains work well as blackout curtains as advertised but you'll have to make sure the dimensions are correct for your windows. The dimensions listed are accurate but only if the curtains are laid flat, not hung on a curtain rod with folds. I forgot to take that into account when ordering so I had gaps when I put the curtains up. I ended up having to order two more panels to fully cover my windows.
Good curtains!
April 3, 2016
Love these curtains! I ordered them in burgundy and they block a great deal of light and heat. You can see in the photo what happens when I open the curtain, compared to what gets through when they are closed. We're in Phoenix with poorly insulated windows so the heat and light blocking was an important factor. The grommets on top made them really easy to thread onto a curtain rod and they open and close smoothly. They have a great shape and fabric feel, and hung well right out of the package, unlike other blackout curtains we've had. My only complaint is that they seem to be a bit static-y so they are accumulating pet hair, but they will be easy to take down and wash. You can see the fur (along with one of the culprits) in my other photo. They aren't perfect, but they definitely feel better than what I've seen at Kohl's, Target, etc at this price point. I'm considering ordering another set for our bedroom since I'm tired of it looking like full daylight at 5am. I may consider doubling up as other reviewers have done since I'd want a light color for our bedroom.
Great value, lovely material, effective, and attractive
November 8, 2015
I have purchased these curtains in a couple of different colors, but I want to review the beige color. As some other reviewers have said, the beige do not completely black out light - however, I think they still block out enough sunlight to be considered blackout curtains. I've attached a photo of these curtains over my window with the sun shining directly into my living room to show how dark the room gets with the lighter colors such as beige. My window is 72" wide and I only used one set of panels - two sets of panels would likely block the remainder of the light. I am pleased with these curtains. The quality has been consistent over the years that I have purchased various colors and types (grommet top, back tab, etc.), and even the lighter colors do a great job of blocking out and insulating. The material is soft and they drape well with tie backs, and removing wrinkles from packaging is easy (place in dryer with a wet washcloth or hand towel). They are not plastic-feeling like some others, and they are not too heavy. I used a 1" rod without a center support and there is no sag. I would definitely recommend these!
Good Quality - Just Be Aware The Beige Curtain Won't Totally Black Out Your Room
April 2, 2015
I've had these drapes in place for about 16 months and find them to be of excellent quality and construction. The grommets are nice and large and the drapes are easily drawn back and forth. I ordered the beige drapes to match my carpet and overall light-painted room. Since I had never owned "blackout drapes" before I assumed they would completely blackout the room. Wrong. As you can see from the photo, they may cut about 50% of the light, but don't count on light colored drapes making your room pitch black at high noon, won't happen.Because I have an increasingly difficult time sleeping during daylight hours, I'm going to order navy or black drapes from this company. I avoided this initially I was afraid of it attracting cat hair and lint, I will report back later on how well it handles this potential problem.UPDATE: I ordered the navy version and I was able to put them behind the beige curtains on the same rod. Now I can get a total blackout of the room but the outer curtains remain beige, the navy curtains are the same size and remain completely hidden. The grommets match exactly, I put a VERY thin film of WD-40 on the rod to make the curtains slide more easily. Of course, this makes the effort more expensive, but I have beige curtains which match my bedroom and totally dark curtains hidden behind them which make the room 100% dark during the daytime. Plus, there's an extra layer of insulation against the wind which blows across this large expanse of windows.Note on the photo: This is a southern exposure but it does not get direct sunlight, the photo is at high noon so this is the maximum brightness the room receives. Forgive the messy bed, I was never much of a maid.
Not perfect but perfectly acceptable.
May 10, 2014
I'm giving these four stars because, as others have said, they aren't total blackout curtains if you buy the beige colored curtains. However, I had lined ivory satin curtains over pleated accordion shades previously in our bedroom and they didn't block out any light. As the days would get longer, I'd wake up as soon as that sun would come up and believe me, it was getting old, waking up at 5 or thereabouts in the late spring and summer months. When I got these curtains, the first thing I did was throw them in the dryer with a damp towel. It took any wrinkles right out. We hung them and what a difference it made. I slept past the sunrise and now my hubby has to shake me awake before he leaves for work. I LOVE them. Sure, they let a small amount of light in but boy, do they keep a lot of light out.I know this because I recently slept in our guest bedroom when I had a cold and that room just has regular curtains. Sheesh. I felt like someone was shining a spotlight on me as soon as that sun came up over the horizon. Considering the economical price of these blackout curtains, I think I'll be replacing curtains in more of our bedrooms soon.

Gorgeous!!!! I might need to recheck my crayon box tho...
May 25, 2015
After realizing I shop for curtains as well as men shop for clothes I decided to take the chic lazy gal's way and order these! I was impressed by the width (who only wants 51"!) and I have a triple window that needed to block the sun out of my eyes when I had the luxury of sleeping in til say...7. They arrived in perfect condition and after getting the 'whisker stamp of approval' from my cat I set out to hang these beauties! I won't even get into the debacle otherwise know as operation Curtain rod which almost involved me falling out a second story window, but after 3 hours and a few adult beverages these curtains were up and blocking the sun! I will confess I'm pretty down with my color spectrum but the picture of "beige" shown here is not what you get! Just know the "beige" here is something I would consider "off-white" and the "beige" that arrives more resembles sand in Ocean City, MD. Since the room needing these window tarps was done in a beach theme I had no complaints and kept my order as is, but go check out your Crayola box because if that picture is truly beige (vs the actual product) I will go get my head examined. Still I would give it 5 stars for beautiful curtains...just 4 ended up due to not true likeness of color. Now onto another project where I can utilize my amazing DIY skills....filling in the 9 holes with spackle from forgetting how windows are studded out...😏
I do like these curtains
November 22, 2014
I do like these curtains, but the color should be renamed as light Khaki not Beige. They still work for me, but they are not beige and definitely not the color shown in the picture. One more thing about these curtain panels is that both the panels are not the same length. One panel is 2 inches shorter which is a significant difference. Also one of the curtains is totally drooping in the center. Now me and my husband are trying to adjust the curtain rod in a way that the difference in the curtain length is not that visibly noticed!
Curtain Hanging 101
June 27, 2014
I love these curtains! I purchased mine in Chocolate for the giant slider in my bedroom (where I co-sleep with my baby). I was desperate to find affordable black out curtains to darken the room enough for nap times. This did the trick. However, I did run into a snag but only because I failed to measure properly for what I needed. A few tips for others that I didn't think of: #1-This is a grommet curtain, which means it bunches, which takes a little from the actual length of the product after hanging. #2- A wide width slider will require a center support bracket for your curtain rod. Guess what that does to the sliding area for your curtain? Yep, it splits it in two. So I discovered that even though the single panel is long enough to cover the entire slider on its own, because of the center bracket I needed a second panel, one to pull from the left and one to pull from the right so when they close they meet in the center. Doh! But you live and you learn and now I know for the next time I need to hang my own curtains.
Very Nice
June 13, 2014
This curtains are very nice. They are super soft and look beautiful. I order them in beige and the color is a little darker than the color shown in the pictures but still a very nice color. I am giving them a 4 star rating because they are not true blackout, they darken the room very nicely but a lot of light comes in. I am very happy with them anyways.
Pretty good
May 13, 2014
We really needed a curtain for our master room since we have a flickering lamp light right outside our window but we only wanted to buy just one curtain and came across this and it works perfectly to block out that flickering light but when sun comes it peeks through the top which is still nice so I wake up at normal times. I haven't noticed any change for keeping the heat out or cold. Its been 90 all week in Georgia but our room is still pretty warm, so that's why i took off a star it's still warm in the room with the curtain closed. Not that big of an issue though. I love the color it's the same that was in the picture, (we got the burgundy one) the material is a nice soft texture and it's a very good curtain for blocking out those unwanted light.

Nice curtain rod, a slightly tricky top bracket screw
March 24, 2017
This rod worked great and looks good too. Don't be worried about the top screw. I think people with no tool skills complained too much about tightening the top screw. It's a little tricky but I was able to install the curtain rod with my power driver in less than 10 minutes including measuring. Remember if you have a nice view out of your window install the outer brackets 5 inches or so beyond the edge of the window. This way the curtail will open past the window allowing for a full unobstructed view out of the window.
I think the finished product looks amazing and I do not regret purchasing this curtain rod
January 7, 2017
Husband absolutely despised hanging up this curtain rod. The way the brackets curve made it hard to screw in. He bought a curved drill extender which helped tremendously. I think the finished product looks amazing and I do not regret purchasing this curtain rod.
Missing attachment on the rod ends to accept the finials "see updated remarks "
September 17, 2016
The original purchase came to me with no screw-in holes on the end of the rods to accept the finials. Just empty black pipes. Read and re-read the instructions but no place to screw them in could be found. Curtain rods with finals are no-brainers to assemble but this one was impossible. Called Amazon to resend another curtain rod set. The replacement had the same set up. No place to screw in the finials. Just a black plastic cap with no holes. If Decopolitan has a solution to this let me know. I decided to hang the rods without the finials since this will be a seasonal use of the rods to eliminate intense sun entering the window during the winter months only. I do not intend to keep them up for the other three seasons.UPDATE:After removing "all" the flat plastic caps on the polls, I did locate the necessary finial inserts on the main curtain rod. I suggest Decopolitanplace a sticker to alert which rod has the necessary finial inserts and which ones do not. After hanging the rods, I can say they look fine. They are easy to secure to the wall and well constructed. I increased the two stars to four. I recommend these well made curtain rods.
Good deal
December 26, 2015
I used these rods to hold a room darkening \ thermal curtain in front of two sliders. The span was over 100" for each. I wasn't able to use the center support because it was a single curtain. I though it would sag, but the rods held up just fine. Each assembly has three rods, so it provides good support. Lots of reviews complained about getting the top screw in - I had trouble also. However, when I drilled the hole for the top anchor, I did it on a slight angle, which allowed me to get the top screw in by angling the screw gun. Overall good product and I'm happy.
Tightening the top screw tool
October 16, 2015
I've read the reviews and thank you for pointing out the design problem with the top screw. It's a real bear to tighten especially when you're close to the cealling. I found s ratchet screw driver Maxcraft 60601 flex ratchet screwdriver. $10.91. I didn't have a lot of clearance tightening the top screw but using this tool made it possible and it wasn't difficult. You have to supply the Philips bits but as I have collected several over the years I was all set I specifically got this tool for this job because I read your reviews thanks
Decent value for the appearance of quality (which is mostly backed by the feel of the components)
February 26, 2015
Overall a good product and value though the antiquing is harder to notice than the photo even in a bright room and the rod is a little less stout than I'd expect, though not bad. The mounts and decorative ends feel substantial and, by contrast, make the rod seem mismatched in quality though for the price doesn't feel unreasonable. If you're using these with blackout curtains, note that the supports put the rod out from a wall further than some which is aesthetically pleasing but will leave a notable gap for light to leak through when the curtains are closed.

Won't block out all the light, but ok for the price.
August 13, 2017
These are relatively inexpensive curtains. For the price, you can't beat them, but like a few others have noted, they do NOT block out all the light- even in the black which is the color I purchased. Some light still gets through as I'm looking at the closed black curtains right now and can see specs of light coming through. However, for the price- they are ok. Just don't expect total blackout. They won't.
Beautiful curtains but sadly without matching tie backs
June 20, 2017
These were lovely. They arrived in a timely manner. The quality is good, the curtains are lovely and they add a chic tone to the house.Sadly only one pair came with the matching tie backs, which are supposedly included, one pair however came without the matching tie backs. This is the only reason not to give the curtains a five star rating. They are well fabricated and smell good.
Okay, but not TRUE blackout curtains
February 10, 2017
This is not a true black-out curtain. I purchased the Burgundy colored 52"W x 84"L 2 panel set. The fabric allows hundreds of small pinpricks of light to be seen through the curtain when it is backed by direct sunlight. The light can also be faintly seen through the fabric. I would say these block about 95 percent of direct sunlight (not taking into account light that escapes over the top of the curtain). As a comparison: I bought a set of wider panels in the same color about two years prior (apparently from the same seller) that work much better. The fabric on those larger panels seems to be thicker, and does not let any discernible amount of light through. I would say that those larger panels block 100 percent of the light from coming through.Functionally these curtains work for me, because I really only need to block out external ambient light at night, If you are super-sensitive to light and need to use these for sleeping during the day, I would keep looking for a better set.
Misleading Product Label.....Room Darkening, Yes....THERMAL/INSULATED, NO
July 8, 2016
They're decent fabric and block much of the light in my son's room. However, the description in the title of "Thermal Insulated" is inaccurate. These are a single layer of fabric, no lining whatsoever. I give it 3 stars, because my son is able to sleep longer than he was before purchasing these curtains, since they block much of the light. However, there is absolutely ZERO difference in the temperature in his room, since installing these curtains. They're decent, and I love the royal blue color, but if you're looking for truly lined, insulated, thermal curtains, you're better off going somewhere, like JC Penny, where you can physically inspect the curtains, before you buy them. The description for these curtains was very misleading, in regards to being "thermal insulated."
Beware Different Dye Lots!
February 25, 2015
For function, these curtains are great. They keep out the draft and insulate my bedroom from sunlight on mornings when I want to sleep in.Beware of different dye lots with these curtains. I bought three sets of the grey color at the same time. I have four panels that are lavender grey and two panels that are a darker metal grey. In moderate lighting it is not really noticeable although still kind of annoying because I know they are different. When I first opened the packaging I thought they must have sent me the wrong items but they are the same with different dye lots.
Just OK
May 22, 2014
I think these are probably worth about half of what they cost. The beige doesn't block out a lot of light. We even have the blinds closed with the curtains closed over them, and the room still gets bright enough to wake my son in the mornings (East facing window). I ordered four and had to choose the two that were most similar because they were not all exactly the same color and length even though they were supposed to be. I did put these in a dryer in an attempt to get out the wrinkles before hanging them (didn't iron because I was afraid I'd damage them). They've been hung there for over a year now, and the wrinkles are still there. Finally, the seams at the top and bottom pucker the fabric.

This is a nice curtain and blocks light reasonably well
March 27, 2017
This is a nice curtain and blocks light reasonably well. Found a different curtain elsewhere whose shade matches better and wanted to return this but it was half the price of what I paid just to ship it back! I'll be keeping this as a backup I guess. Good quality the color was just a little off for me.
Serves its purpose well.
August 10, 2016
I bought these mostly to keep the morning sun from shining into my office -- it gets VERY hot! It provides good sun blockage, so it's serving the purpose. I'm hoping that it will also serve as some insulation when winter comes (haven't tested that yet). I didn't expect magnificent quality, so I'm not disappointed. The curtains looks okay -- more than adequate for my office. I can't say that I'd recommend for the living or dining room though, IF you want something of quality. They look at little cheap. BUT, the panels are reasonably priced (especially for their size). I'd absolutely buy again as a sun blocker for my husband's office.
Blocks sun but does not provide darkness to the room.
February 3, 2016
This is a nice quality curtain. The material is soft, the color is true to pictures online and it is very wide and can cover a large window. The only problem I have is this is not a room darkening curtain. It does block the sunlight and keep heat from entering the room, however I needed complete or mostly darkness for my sons nursery.
Color doesn't match with other width curtains
March 13, 2015
Bought these curtains along with the "Best Home Fashion Olive Solid Grommet Top Thermal Insulated Blackout Curtain 52"W X 84"L 1 Pair - GT" which was the corresponding match and was what amazon recommends in that little box under the pictures. Love that they black out the sun well, and are nice fabric, but the color is NOT the same!! We ordered the olive green in both sets and these 100" wide ones are not the same as the 54" wide ones. The sage is more grey on these ones vs the 54" ones. Probably no one would notice, but I notice and will always see that they aren't the same color. At least they aren't on the same walls I guess...
The material is so nice and soft and didn't come wrinkled
October 21, 2014
The material is so nice and soft and didn't come wrinkled. It does block out light without the ugly plastic. The only issue I have is finding a rod that long that doesn't have a bracket in the middle that doesn't allow the curtain to run across. The one they sale with it doesn't work. Otherwise I would have given it a 5 star.
Purchased two. Different heights
April 2, 2014
Purchased two and one was drastically longer then the other. Cosmetically looked horrible in the room. Considering one end was hanging on the ground 4inchs and other 2inchs above the floor. When it comes to the length and height the attention to detail is horrible. Fabric was clean looking and appeared to the human eye very clean and sleek.Needed two on a single curtain rod for my home theater windows. :( cant hang them because it looks odd that one is longer then the other from the uneven dimensions. 50% chance it will be the correct curtains as described other 50% is the gamble for a miss subscribed manufacture product.

Más o Menos Curtain Rod
September 30, 2017
We bought this curtain rod for a large window in our living room. My husband installed it while I supervised his work. Overall install was very easy. It is a classic silver color and complements our transitional decor. We had to get 4 panels of curtains for our window because it is so large. As a result whenever I open the curtains the curtain rod on one end moves and comes out. We have tried to secure the screw inside the end of the rod holder so that the rod itself doesn't move but it doesn't matter, it moves every time I try to open the curtains. This results in one side of the rod being very long and sometimes coming out and falling apart. It is a hassle to fix. Maybe I have too much weight on the rod but the other side seems to handle the curtain panels just fine. I would look for something sturdier if you are using more than 2 curtain panels.
Just get a different one
August 23, 2017
I'd read the other reviews stating the design flaw but thought if I got a small tool as was recommended by another review I'd be able to get it. I was able to install it but with the screws at an angle so I've got no idea how stable it is. I'm too lazy to return items to amazon but this set is nothing special. It looks good but you can find one that looks the same without the design flaw on amazon, at target or walmart etc.

December 8, 2016
Getting this thing mounted was a real pain. It's nearly impossible to get behind the rod holder with a screwdriver to fasten the top screw. With some creativity and a lot of swear words, I was able to make it work. DO NOT try to use a power screwdriver with this. You will obliterate the cheap, brittle material that makes up the screws. After mounting, I thought I was in the clear. This was mounted using heavy curtains on a 124 inch wide picture window. so it has to be extended pretty far. There is a lot of up and down play between the smaller connecting rod that lies between the two end rods. The tolerance where the rods slide together is not tight at all. It makes the rod feel cheap, like dollar store cheap. It LOOKS nice, but I'm afraid of what would happen if I opened and closed the curtains regularly. It's a shame, because the curtains I hung are really high quality.
Not worth it
November 15, 2016
Like a lot of people say the curved brackets make it hard to access the screws- i thought i could manage but in reality it is very difficult when you are holding this above your head and have no leverage, if i had to do it again i would've got a different curtain rod with better brackets it is that much of a pain to install. Terrible design.Also- the drywall anchors they supply are garbage. You are just going to end up with a big hole in your wall after you have to replace them. Throw them away and get some real drywall anchors at Home Depot for 2 bucks
Nice but deceptively hard to install
May 12, 2016
Hardware provided is impossible install with standard tools. I had to purchase box screws so I could get a box wrench behind the bracket, as the bracket shape blocks the use of a screwdriver. Other than that, the rod are pretty good.
Design Flaw for Top Screw, Looks Great Otherwise.
July 28, 2015
Looks great to hang up but it has one flaw. The screws cannot be tightened as the curved part as seen in the photo blocks a screw driver from installing the top screw.

im not satisfied with the quality of the product
August 13, 2017
This is a late review, I was waiting to finish painting my daughters bedroom so we could put these curtains. I received the product on time; however, im not satisfied with the quality of the product. The curtains are made of thin material and it has some protection against light but not as blackout curtain as is advertised. Also, the panels are thin so the heat can still be felt, lastly, one of the panels has a straight line of fabric thread missing, which obviously defeats the purpose of the curtain because light enters through that area of missing fabric. Not satisfied, will not buy it again.
Disappointing purchase
July 4, 2017
These are probably about what I should have expected for the price. Despite the word best in the name, there is nothing "best" about them. They are fairly heavy fabric, and unlined so I'm not quite sure about them being insulating. They aren't completely room darkening, but they do keep out a considerable amount of the light. The reason for giving them only two stars is that this pair of curtains is only 82 inches long, not 84 inches as the description states. They don't look quite right but I cannot hang them any lower because of the height of the windows. By the time I discovered this, I was no longer able to return them. They came out of the package horribly wrinkled and nothing I tried really got all the wrinkles out. The package suggested putting them in the dryer to get the wrinkles out, but that only partially solved the problem. I also tried ironing them, and then I had them hanging in the basement for several weeks in hopes of the wrinkles falling out, but they still have some wrinkles.I would only recommend these if you don't mind a company that has poor quality control.
Bought Navy, works okay for blacking out with blinds in front of them, worthless without blinds.
June 20, 2016
I bought the Navy curtains and they look fine and feel nice, but they aren't great in direct sunlight. I have blinds behind them and it helps, but there's still a decent amount of light shining through. Now, if I didn't have the blinds behind them, they'd be worthless for blacking out. They let a TON of light through when used on their own. I wish I bought black now, though I don't know if that would've helped as the navy curtains are pretty darn dark. I'm trying a different brand in black. If it works better, I'll update this review with a link to those.
No Grommets; Grody Colour
July 21, 2014
These are of a nice quality, but I had three issues:1. The curtains I received had rod pockets and rod tabs on the back. Unfortunately, I wanted gromet-top curtains because that's what I ordered. Odd.2, The colour was not orange, as expected, but rather more peach. If I were to hold an orange up to these curtains, I would say to myself, "Self, is it just you or do these curtains look a little sickly to me?" Kind of like the colour of a creamsicle if you left it in the mud and let it melt. Muddy Creamsicle. That's probably a good name for a band, but not a colour.3. I needed these quick, so I ordered them with express shipping. It's going to cost me another dozen dollareedoos to send them back. Amazon wants to refund me a maximum of $15 in shipping costs. That'll cover about half. Thank you, Amazon! If they weren't almost completely the opposite if what I thought I was ordering, I'd just keep them and try to pawn them off on someone I don't like. Alas, I'm sending them back.
Blocks 99% of light? I don't think so
April 20, 2014
I am not sure what high tech devices they use to measure the amount of light blocked by this curtain. But I don't think any of those tools are more accurate than human eyes. In my opinion is more like 60% of light. Definitely not 99%.
Not blackout by any stretch of the imagination
February 25, 2013
I bought these curtains to block out light as advertised, and they totally miss the mark. They shade the light as any normal heavy fabric might, but you can definitely see lots of daylight through them. I posted a picture of them hanging in my living room showing the light glowing through (customer uploaded photo #5). You can clearly see where there is shade vs. direct sunlight outside. Otherwise, the fabric is a soft synthetic. The size, color and grommets all look and feel fine.

Mismatch panels.
May 10, 2016
Attempted to get matching panels but found out quality control is lacking - color vaguely the same, but texture, and darkening ability drastically different between the three panels I got. Even the length was not the same. Don't know what to advise here other than keep trying? to get panels that actually match. Really rather disappointing as first panel I got was rather nice - hope you end up with a similar one but rather doubt it.

Ordered these out of desperation for wide width curtains for mutiple windows in the same room. Ordered Beige and wish they were available in White with silver tone grommets, or in White or Ivory with rod pocket. They are definitely khaki color."Bronze" grommets don't match my nickel curtain harware. Super annoyed at the different lengths for the panels!

March 27, 2015
Bought one via one day free shipping and was happy. Bought another one via one day delivery because the first wasn't long enough to cover the entire sliding door. It came with a pen mark on it, so I asked for a replacement. It was autosomal automatically scheduled to come in a WEEK. Not the original agreement of one day. So, I had to return that one and buy another in order to get the one day shipping I get originally wanted. It came 2" longer the one original one I bought and looked obnoxious scrunched up on the floor.I'm so disappointed. I gave two stars because the first of three orders I was pleased with... didn't even bother ordering a 4th time. Will find another company.
Good Quality, but HOT
September 9, 2011
I bought this "Wide Width Grommet Top Thermal Blackout Curtain 100"W X 84"L Panel - Chocolate - BWW" to both block out the morning sun shining into a room and cut down on the heat caused by that sunshine (I'm in Florida, so the heat is a problem). This is a good quality curtain that looks almost exactly like the picture here on Amazon. I put the curtain up yesterday afternoon and was quite pleased with it. By noon today, however, I realized it wasn't performing properly. A minor issue is that even though the fabric is thick, it doesn't block out all the light that's directly shining on it. That's tolerable. However, the big problem is that this curtain is brown on BOTH sides. So, as the sun beats on the curtain, it absorbs almost all of that light energy and radiates it directly into the room as heat from the other side. The room now gets far hotter than it did with my old, regular, white-backed, curtains. If you live in a cooler climate or if you're not faced with direct sunlight, this curtain is probably a good bet for you (call it 4 stars out of 5). But, for me, I'll have to rate it at a pretty bad 2 stars out of 5 and see if Amazon will let me return them. For those not familiar with curtain measurements, I'll add something about how this curtain fit my window. The window in question measures about 79" W (outside edge of molding to outside edge of molding) by 85" H (top of curtain rod to floor). I figured that this one, single panel would be good enough since I hardly ever opened the old curtains. I was right. But, just barely. The height's not bad at all. But, you should be aware that the curtain extends about an inch above the grommet holes. So, that shortens the effective length just a bit. The bigger issue for me was that my curtain rod is about an inch in diameter. The 1.6" diameter grommets fit on the rod without problem, but they have to sit on the rod at an angle (weaving around the rod). With the wide rod, the grommets don't have much (any) play. The curtain fits the width. But, again, just barely. With a thin rod, the curtains would probably be adequate for another inch or two in width since they could lie flatter. But, in general, I'd consider my 79" W x 85" H window area to be the absolute maximum size that this panel will cover. It's not a problem. Just be aware of it.

Build quality and looks are fine but as other reviews have mentioned
December 7, 2016
Build quality and looks are fine but as other reviews have mentioned, the mount design is horrible. Attempting to mount these to the wall is a serious hassle and it could have been easily avoided if they put more than 2 seconds of thought into these. In short, the mounts design doesn't give you easy access to the screws when attempting to screw them in. Frustrating, I wouldn't recommend these.
Color not true to description
December 3, 2016
Color not true to description. The rod is black, the ends are mostly black with hints of burnished bronze looking details. Not what I expected.
Poor design makes installation frustrating
June 11, 2016
While the units are relatively attractive and functional, albeit rather cheap and lightweight (you get what you pay for), the poor positioning of the top screw relative to the curve in the bracket makes hanging the brackets a frustrating hassle. I'm a fairly handy person, and struggled quite a bit trying to screw these in using various multi-tools and screwdrivers.
Poor installation, but functional
January 22, 2016
It looks nice, but as others have noted, the mounting brackets are designed in such a manner that is nearly impossible to actually screw the top screw in all the way. I was able to get mine in most of the way, but to do so had to strip the screws, making this a permanent installation. The screws also are not recessed at all, so if you are expecting a finished look rather than a more industrial, poorly-matched look, you will be sorely disappointed. On the other hand, it is functional.
Not worth the money at all.
October 12, 2015
Very nice... The decorative knob on the end is VERY small. Much smaller than expected. The sizing is also wayyyy oofff. I would not trust the sizing here. I spent more money and they were WAY too long. I followed the sizing chart and my contractor husband told me what to buy. He then had to spend alot of time making them fit the window. One of the 4 I bought also came completely damaged, like a train had run over it. My husband had to then work his magic make shifting something to work out of the leftover pieces. What a huge hassle and money down the toliet. I really don't like them. Not worth the money. They look like they are worth about $15. Go to Walmart and spend your money on something alot nicer.

After 5 years, they faded so much
April 25, 2017
These were fine when new. They block out good amount of light and seemed good quality. However, after 5 years they are no longer usable. The color faded so much where sun shines of them, they are ready for trash.
Grommets imprint on fabric
January 25, 2017
I opened the package and was amazed by the classy feel of these curtains! received on a Saturday and hung a few days later! Only to be disappointed in what I saw when hung? Brown circular marks on several areas on the fabric and the grommets themselves had a sticky feel? The marks on the fabric was caused by the grommets. In my excitement I decided to get a toothbrush and clean with simple water. It definitely improved the appearance, however you can still see it up close. Disappointing, now Im waiting for a replacement order 5-8 days! Just wish the replacement shipping was FASTER, especially when the initial order took 5-8 days, which I chose due to order qualified for free shipping
RETURNED
February 28, 2016
I ordered a different brand Blackout curtain and had the same issue with these. Namely that I ordered two sets of curtains + 4 panels total, supposedly all the same size. The length on all four panels was different by up to 3 inches. Fabric was not as good a quality as I would have hoped. Loved the color, just do not think the quality was worth the money - All four returned
Beware!
April 8, 2014
The feel of the curtain is great and they really do darken a room (bought for my bedroom French doors). The problem with the curtains : no two panels are the same length. Maybe if you are a seamstress and want to remake these they are fine but I would never recommend. Even some of the panels looked to be from a different dye lot!
Not blackout
March 28, 2014
These aren't even kind of black out.. not pleased. It doesn't have the typical stiff material backing that blackout curtains normally have.
"Beige" and "black out" are mutually exclusive
September 4, 2013
Three weeks of buying and returning a half dozen different brands trying to achieve midnight blindness taught me one ultimate truth: It is impossible to get a true black out curtain in beige. It just cannot be done. If you want thermal, this may be for you. If you want pitch black, try another color - navy, burgundy, brown... just not beige

Very unhappy customer!
October 14, 2015
I bought two 100 x 84 inch curtains for French doors and they are terrible. Once hung, we realized one touched the floor and one did not, so we measured them. One is 83 1/2 inches and the other is 85 inches! Not a pretty picture.

Had to return right away! These curtains are very "silky" looking - with a sheen to them. No pleats & cheap looking. the fabric attracts hair & dust to stick to it --EEEEK!Yes, they help darken a room & that's about all.The brown/chocolate color is just not pretty - very drab!

Crooked
May 23, 2014
Fabric was OK - problem was in the curtain length - I ordered 2 of these for the patio door in my bedroom - both were at least 1" to 1 1/2" shorter on one end of the panel than the other - a problem with quality control I suspect - Amazon was super about the return.
Avoid
March 3, 2014
The 2nd time I washed these I let them soak a couple hours. The grommets RUSTED and left stains on the curtain. I tried 2 different washings w/ stain remover and there are still stains. WHY would they make a washable product w/ grommets that rust??? Not too logical. If you buy these, DO NOT let them sit in the water. As far as the actual curtain material, it is durable, hangs nice & insulates well.

Would never buy this again.
June 30, 2017
This is so pretty but the design is horrible. You cannot mount it right. They put the screw at the top of a curve and I tried so many different size screw drivers and extensions and had a terrible time getting the screw even half way tight. It's in there but not sure if it will hold. I wouldn't order this again at all. I bought two so with second one my husband ended up buying some other brackets and mounting it with those instead.
Not Stable For Extending Out to 144 Inches (recommend only extending to about 132 inches)
February 22, 2017
Pros:+ Nice color and paint finish+ Good packing and arrived in perfect condition+ Easy to assemblyCons:I purchased the 144 inches version and it is extended to exactly 144 inches. It is not as rigid as I hoped, so as a temporary measure I put some non-marking tape around the rod connections. In the mean time I am trying to decide how to solve this issue. I may try to purchase a longer rod system or find a way to fix the curtain rod setup. In summary, I am disappointed in this rod system stability extended out to 144 inches.I would recommend extending the 144 inches version only to about 132 inches for a rigid and stable rod system.Any recommendations to solve this issue are appreciated.Issue #2: The top mouthing screw is partially blocked by the mounting bracket shape. This will be a major issue with customers that need to mount close to the ceiling.============UPDATE AS OF MARCH 01, 2017:I drilled new holes in the drywall and shortened this curtain to 124 inches. The rod is now more rigid and stable. I am still disappointed with the false advertising claiming that this rod extends to 144 inches and be stable. Still giving 1 star.I
Hoodwinked by the bafflingly high reviews.
January 3, 2017
I don't like to admit that I have done something foolish, but here goes.I bought this 4.5 star set of curtain rods (and it's larger brother that has not been hung yet) with little to no inspection of the comments section. Looks nice, 4.5 stars! What could go wrong?!Well, the accent paint, if you come back and zoom in the picture, varies. Missed that. Not super enthused about that, but paint's not a -huge- deal...But physics? Why would you make an inaccessible hole? Why?!?! I'd have paid for the extra metal. I just do -not- understand. Don't be me- if you're reading this, get something else. If you came here later because you're angry too... at least rate the thing accordingly so idiots like me do not make the same mistake.
This product turned out to be very poor quality. Now that I look back
February 1, 2016
This product turned out to be very poor quality. Now that I look back, there were customer reviews complaining that the brackets were breaking sometimes during installation. Unfortunately, I chose to ignore those comments. In my case, one the brackets broke several days after the rod and curtains were installed. No one touched the curtains while I was away, yet one of the brackets snapped causing the rod to bend in the middle with the weight of the curtain alone. I arrived home to find the curtain on the floor, the rod bent, and the bracket broken. I liked the appearance and design, but I believe that the brackets are made of very low quality or many of them are manufactured defective, possible poor heat treatment of the metal. I bought another rod with brackets elsewhere.
Impossible to screw mount into wall.
August 8, 2015
The design of the wall mounts blocks a screwdriver from actually accessing the top screw. It is literally impossible to screw in the top screw to the wall.
HORRIBLE
July 7, 2015
The mounting brackets are shaped such that you have no clearance to screw in the top screw and it ends up stripping out (even with the correct size phillips head) due to the offset angle. The screws are awful to begin with, even the bottom screws were stripping out a bit too. Additionally, the rod came with only one threaded hole for the end cap, so you can only attach one of the ends.
