Land of the midnight sun
June 10, 2017
We live in Alaska and our summers are bright. I was looking for the perfect curtains for my kids room to block out the daylight when bedtime comes. 8:00pm can look like 4:00pm which is hard for kids to understand and settle down. These have worked great! We purchased a curtain rod that wraps around to the wall so there wasn't a space between the wall and curtain where it hung. These really blackout the room and have worked great! I was hesitant since they are not lined, but no worries here. Great length and beautiful dark rich navy color.
PITCH BLACK! Love these curtains.. I've tried multiple other brands, these are by far the best!
December 4, 2014
I desperately needed great blackout curtains for when I have to work nightshifts..and these are AMAZING! I ordered the black set and (compared to a previous "blackout curtain" purchase from a department store) these are beyond compare. The sun rises in my bedroom window and even with the bright sun shining.. it is almost COMPLETELY pitch black in my room. I can't speak for any of the other colors but if you truly need "black out" buy black! If you don't like it for your color/decor scheme, do a second set of curtains of your choice on an outer rod.. (Which is what I did!). Also, side note.. The fabric of these curtains is very nice, high quality. The width was a little long for my window so where it bunched up, there was some light peeking through the bottom.. so I cut the seam on the bottom part of the curtain on the side>>Just big enough to fit a skinny pvc pipe, put that in the bottom pocket trim and now it's just heavy enough to lie flat against the wall, even with having extra fabric scrunched up. And literally no light is coming through!!! The pictures I took are 30 seconds apart!!!
Nice and thick, great color (grey), love these!
November 10, 2014
We purchased these to help insulate the large windows we have in our sun room to help keep down heating costs, and they work great! We definitely feel a big different from having these up compared to our previous cotton curtains. The curtains are thick, well hemmed, the fabric used gives the curtain a great soft feel, and they do a great job blacking out the light and holding back the cool air.We picked up the Grey tone, which looks to have a bit of a blue hue to it, but I'm not sure because the room we have ours in is blue itself, regardless, they look amazing!Due to our windows width, we had to pick up 4panels and have two on each side of the window. Seeing as the panels are so thick to begin with, when you have to draw them back to let in the light, they tend to get bunched up and not want to budge. For this reason, we wish we pulled the trigger on getting the curtains with grommets built-in, they would probably slide on the poll easier, but by no means is this enough to deduct a star. When pulled back, both curtains, though extremely thick, fit nicely inside the curtain holdback hooks. Though the set does comes with tie-backs and they look great! They are the same material as the curtain but still manage to offer a nice accent to the curtains. They're cut with an angle to offer up a bit more visual style when the curtains are held back and include two loops made from a very durable string. It's nice to see that the company put as much thought and care into their tie-backs as they did with the overall curtain design and build!Great curtains, love these!
Amazing
September 11, 2014
these things really do filter 99% of light. You can tell its day outside, but you will not be disturbed by light. The curtains are held on the rod with loops, kinda like belt loops. so you can easily get the two sides to over lap each other so as to not worry about light getting through the middle. and the curtains aren't scruffed like the look in the picture, you can draw them out most of their length. So if you have about a 48" or less window, you'd only need one curtain to cover the entire thing. They do mask sound somewhat, but not enough to really list as a feature. However the heat these things refract is amazing.
Fooled my kids, haha suckers
December 20, 2013
I got these things because my kids always wake up when the sun rises, which is awful. These things fixed that. They're also great for the summer when you have to put them to sleep while the sun is still out at night.
Great Curtains!

*Please be sure to watch my video of both the pink and brown curtains and see my images I posted - note I put 54" but meant 84"* Okay - so I read the 3 bad reviews on this product. I bought these curtains for my daughter's room because she is extremely sensitive to the light and wakes up as soon as the sun starts to rise. After purchasing them, I was wandering through Target and suffered serious buyers remorse when I saw "blackout curtains" for half the price! Well, I bought those, intending to return these as soon as they arrived. Boy, was I disappointed when the Target "blackout" curtains barely blocked half the light! When these arrived, we promptly removed our Target curtains, placing them in the playroom instead (where she has sleepovers) and installed these. The room went black - just like in the hotels! The curtains hang nicely and although they are not quite the color pictured, they work well in her room. It's summer now, school has let out, and my baby has been sleeping until noon! Wow! What a difference. Oh, and I checked Wallyworld. Those curtains that are half the price - are only one panel! By the time you buy two panels, you've paid the same price anyway - or nearly so. Oh, and one other thing, my daughter's room, which was the hottest room in the house in the summer, and the coldest in the winter - is now quite chill in the summer, thanks to the insulating quality of these panels. I'll post a video review as soon as my daughter cleans her room! I plan to purchase 3 more sets soon for the guest rooms as I find these are an *excellent* value! Although probably not in beige ;)

Excellent Curtains
September 21, 2017
These curtains are excellent. Exactly as described by the seller. I am very pleased with my purchase.I ordered 3 sets of these curtains for 3 windows and love them. These curtains fulfill their purpose excellently...... they are true blackout/darkening curtains. I used a set per window pane. This made the curtains nice and full in appearance, and this is also what made them complete blackout curtains for me at night. (I did already have blinds behind the curtains, but I am confident that even without the blinds, these curtains would provide complete blackout for me at night in the manner that I hung them.)During the day, they are very darkening, to the point that I need to turn the light on. Also excellent.Love the fact that they come with matching tie backs. So during the day I use the tie backs to let some light in, and it also gives a beautiful appearance.Machine washes well. I machine washed them on cold, and tumbled dried them on light cycle. I took them out of the dryer immediately after they were dried and hung them immediately, thereby given them a nice draped appearance. They were packaged perfectly when shipped and was shipped fast. The material is superb. These curtains have a very elegant soft feel to them. These curtains have a nice weight to them. Somewhat heavy but not too heavy, thereby also serving the purpose as blackout/darkening curtains. In addition I can immediately tell the weight of these curtains will serve excellent purpose for room temperature.I ordered and received the beige. Beautiful.
Love 'em! My spouse is a light sleeper
August 11, 2017
Love 'em! My spouse is a light sleeper, I'm a heavy sleeper. He clearly sleeps better since we've switched to these curtains in the bedroom. The big surprise, though, is that I'm sleeping even more heavily (more deeply in early morning hours). Niiiiiiiiiiiice! Unexpected bonus! Plus, I thought the curtains would look drab. Aha! Yet another unexpected bonus because they do not! So........ Look great, work great, make us feel great!

May 4, 2017
I came across these in my search for new pinch pleat drapes to replace the ones in my livingroom that were at least 30 yrs old. I ordered 3 sets of these curtains in black for my livingroom and they work fantastic. Even though they are not what I was looking for and interpreted the description wrong, I was able to make them work.I have traverse rods with a pull cord, so any drapes need to have a place for the drapery hooks to slip into, which these do not. I was able to make them work by saftey pinning the hooks to the tabs on the back. They are thick and block out the light wonderfully. They will work perfect this summer to block the sun and help keep the temp. down in my air conditionless house.
They are purfect
October 11, 2016
Perfect curtains!!! They are a little heavy, but that's to be expected for blackout curtains. They do not let ANY light through. The package comes with two panels with straps to hold the open for both sides (see pictures, one pic has a light behind the panel to show no light coming through) I am planning on purchasing more for the rest of the rooms!!! HIGHLY SUGGEST PURCHASING THESE.And they are a great price!!!!
Love them
March 7, 2016
I got these in black. Not so much for the room darkening part but the color. Though as u can see they work pretty well as a room darkening curtain. They match my room decor (black and green) and I was pleasantly surprise at the material. It's soft and silky looking. I'm very happy with price and this purchase.
Chocolate black out curtains

Could not have gotten a better buy. They hold true to blackout and they also keep the cold out. I am truly satisfied with my purchase.

Beige
March 17, 2017
This may sound silly but I ordered beige and they are very beige. I was hoping for more of a light linen color beige but these are more of tan beige. Other than my personal disappointment with the color (no fault of anyone except my own expectations) these are very nice quality, a great price and most importantly they are EFFECTIVE!

August 4, 2016
I bought these for my bedroom because I have a dog who is terrified of thunderstorms and nothing I have tried has helped him. This was the last thing I could think of to try. This morning we had a thunderstorm and he did much better. It seems to help that he can't see the lightening. While they muffled the thunder some, they weren't as good at blocking noise as I had hoped for which is why I only gave them 4 stars. He did go from normally being frantic to just being nervous so overall I am happy with them. I will be ordering more for the rest of the house.
Terrific for blocking out light for babies'/kids' rooms!
July 8, 2015
These curtains are terrific for blocking light, which is the primary reason I got them for our light-sensitive 4-yo's room. The only reason I'm not giving it a full five stars is because the orange is more of a creamsicle peach color rather than a true orange. It doesn't really go with his room, but I don't want to bother with the return process. RIT dye might be in order. :)
Black panels are great for blacking out your room..If you live near Ikea you may find same or better item there.
June 5, 2015
I got the black panels. I wish they were 2 to 4 inches wider, though that is hardly a reason to knock a star.My reason for the 4 star instead of 5 is that the panels are full of tiny pin-size holes throughout so in a dark room looking at the panels you definitely can see light. Now before you go running for the cancel order button (or another product), I should also point out that the holes are small enough that they are NOT noticeable at all with your eyes closed, and I sleep less than 3 feet from these panels (head facing the panels). If I had to guess, their 99% claimed rating (by surface area) is still likely to be accurate. The fabric feels very nice, they are I would say 'medium weight', and they don't have that nasty rubber-like coating that some other black out panels have (that smells, falls off over time with washing and makes the panels super stiff). These drape very nicely. So then, why not 5 if they work so great?1) They are not 100% -some dark gray black-out curtains I got from IKEA are much closer to 100% than these, I don't remember any pin-pricks of light on those and they were similar to cheaper priced.2) I have concerns about the now tiny pin-pricks 'growing' with wash and over time3) the loops on the back for the rod are, in my opinion, too close to the top of the panel, not leaving enough of a 'top' to fluff and block more light from escaping over the top. I could raise the rod higher still to fix that but if the loops had been 1-2 inches lower down I wouldn't have to.
not a drape, but effective for their price
February 13, 2015
its not awesome, but for ~$35, they're decent. they do black out a room enough that i feel if you were a nightshift worker, it'd be passable, but it wouldnt be with high marks. the material is very thin, and you can see what equates to looking at a starry night through them. im attaching a picture taken with my phone that does the best i can to describe it.that said, they're still not bad for the price, but for just a little more you can get much thicker/more presentable shades. if blacking out on a budget, these are great. if going for presentation, i'd recommend going for a thicker material. this is for my home theater, so i believe ill go for something more like a drape, but i'd have rocked these in college when i worked night shifts.
Great quality curtains, but I am sending them back.
January 21, 2013
Great quality curtains for the price, but I am sending them back. I ordered the chocolate color. Just because they didn't work for me, does not mean that they won't work for you. He is the low down on these curtains:Pros:-Soft and Buttery fabric.-Nice thick fabric that I have no doubt would block light and save on energy bills.-Comes with 2 panels and 2 tie backs-Offer two different ways to hang them: full rod pockets and tab pockets.Cons:-The brown is a soft brown with orange undertones. This may be good for people that carry warms browns throughout their house (cherry cabinets/furniture), but I have dark true browns (espresso cabinets/furniture) in mine.-The panel does not have white backing. I live in a townhome and am required to have white/neutral backing to all colored drapes/curtains.-The tie backs were not that great looking. They had white loops on them which did not look good with the chocolate fabric. Just my opinion. If the color was more of a true and rich dark brown, rather than a warm brown I would have kept these. I would have purchased liners and used my current tie backs. These a great value, so I am a little disappointed. I have already ordered a replacement pair that look like they will fit the bill.

Nice curtains
April 11, 2017
Like these curtains. I put them up in my van between the cab and back where I sleep on camping trips...for privacy, to defer the light, and also the heat when it gets warmer. My only complaint is one panel was extremely wrinkled at the bottom. I sprayed with water, tugged, pulled...and wrinkles didn't budge. Next time I do laundry, I will try putting them in the dryer with wet clothes. But overall, very nice and durable and the price was right!
Excellent product for the price!
October 29, 2015
Our home has many very large windows, which are very pretty, but it reaps havoc on our utility bills and our decor. In the summer it's blazing hot, in the winter it's horribly cold, and all year round it's super bright, which fades the color of our carpet and furniture. I bought these in a couple of different colors to keep each room a more even temperature and block out the blinding light. These are perfect for what I needed. They are more "light filtering" than "black out" - so for those of you looking for a pitch black room, these are not going to do the job. The beige makes the room more dim, but not dark. The navy, which I used in our sons' room, definitely does make it darker. If you're looking for black out, I would literally go with the black curtains paired with black out horizontal blinds. The fabric is very nice, soft and durable. I tossed them in the dryer with a few fabric sheets just to get the wrinkles out before hanging them and they came out beautifully. They are true to size. I have a triple bay window that measures 105" across the front of the living room. To create a more "full look" I used 4 panels. The loops are very wide and do accommodate wide decorative rods. I like these very much and I plan to buy more of them for other rooms in our house!
We really like this.
June 18, 2015
We really like this... we purchased them for our son's bedroom, and they're excellent at keeping the room dark at night. The color is exactly as shown. The reason I'm not giving them 5 stars is because I'm not in love with the texture of the fabric. That said, they do what they purport to do and look the way they claim to look. A great addition to baby's bedroom!
Very nice, and a nice price
May 25, 2015
Nice curtains, great price. They're definitely blackout curtains The fabric is nice but just a bit limp -- the ungrommeted version with fabric back loops sags a little bit between the loops instead of standing up like the photo shows. But that's a minor quibble. They still look very nice.I found them a bit of a challenge to alter. I shortened them from 63 inches (they actually measured 62 inches) to 48 inches. I found that the reason they are such effective blackout curtains is there is a layer of black fabric sandwiched within them. Those layers make it difficult to iron a crease for a hem -- it kept springing back. The curtains are labeled 100 percent polyester, but I found I had to set my iron on the wool setting to get the fabric to behave. (If you try this, make sure you stay alert for scorching or melting.) The fabric is very stretchy too, so I found that a few puckers were unavoidable when sewing the new hem. Fortunately they're all on the window side and don't show. All that said, it's a great price for nice looking thermal blackout curtains.
Blackout curtains??? more like semi-blackout curtains.
May 14, 2015
I was tired of being woken up at 5 am as the sun started to come up. I got these hoping to block out all the light (since they're called blackout curtains). They blocked out most of the light. I was able to sleep in until 630. I guess I can consider that progress. As I said, they don't fully block out the light. Obviously light comes in through the sides and the top...that can't be helped. But you could still see light through the actual curtains themselves. Not as bright as it was before, but still not quite blackout. I got the beige curtains so that might be why they don't block the light completely. Maybe the darker curtains block it better.
Worth the money
November 9, 2014
These are a great buy as the set is less expensive than one panel at most stores. I needed something for the kid's room to block out daylight to make putting them down for naps a little easier. These did the trick as the first day they were up my son went down without a fuss which is highly unusual. The length was as described as is the color. I knocked off one star because of the smell. I had to let them air out a day before having them up. Definitely recommend

They do what they say they do, BUT...
September 28, 2017
We put these curtains over the sliding glass doors in our basement, and they are excellent at blocking out light and insulation. We've also now put them on a wall in our nursery, to provide sound-dampening between the nursery and our guest room—we will see how that goes but I'm optimistic based on how good they are at insulation.I took off two stars for two issues: 1) There is no color consistency. I've attached a photo of the three shades of gray we've received. These were received from one order, when the dye batch should have been the same. 2) The bottom hems are not straight. Both issues will irritate you if you have any attention to detail. They need better quality control.
Good Blackout. Be ready for flaws. I will deal with the flaws for the price I paid
February 9, 2017
Make sure you pay no more for these than you would a blackout curtain at one of your discount stores. I have seen them go for less than 40$ a pair and some are listed for 120$ a pair (THATS THREE TIMES AS MUCH and not worth the higher prices!). Price varies with the same seller. I have the grey ones and they are fantastic at blacking out the light without having an ugly white liner on the back. Its one layer of polyester material so they look the same on front and back and block a lot of light. The first pair I received was the "best home fashion" name brand. It was packaged with the manufacture printed insert at the front of the package like any curtain you would see at the store. The next EIGHT panels I ordered (a month later) from the same seller "Best Home Fashion" were knock-offs and were in unmarked plastic packaging. They do not match in length (even the pair packaged together) and the hem at the bottom is twice as big on the nice name brand ones and the stitching is clearly cheaper and wide spaced. I keep sending them back and asking for the REAL best home curtains to match the ones I bought the first time but am giving up now. I will keep the ones I have for 2 guestroom windows that I want good black out for but I can not hang 4 panels on the one large window I was wanting to use them on because of the inconsistencies. Even the knock off set I am keeping will have to be re-stitched at the bottom to make sure they touch the ground the same as each other.
They block out the light, cold, and heat ...
February 4, 2017
They block out the light, cold, and heat. They are not very attractive and are magnets for animal hair.
They were right: white color NOT light-blocking like dark ones... but still good thermal blockers, easy 2 wash, no wrinkles
July 8, 2014
I took a chance - everyone said the light colors do not block light well, and they are so right! My husband has allergies, so what started all of this is my old light-blocking curtains (black) were great, but when we washed them due to dust, the light-block backing turned to glue and stuck all together and ruined them (others have reported this with various brands as an issue). The room they're in is fairly small, so I wanted lighter colored curtains to 'open up' the room feel. The video is misleading - if there is a layer of black fiber woven through these, then they're magicians because when they are hanging on my wall, you can see sunlight through them - and there is no color-change, and nothing black that's visible.LIGHT-BLOCKING:They work well for our space, so we're 'dealing' with it so far - but I will absolutely have to buy an opaque white light-blocking panel and pay to have snaps put onto them by a tailor, which is going to significantly increase the cost... but if they're going to be washable, i'll have to pull that plastic light blocking panel off to wash them.COLOR: the off-white is actually a dark vanilla/light tan color with warm undertones, somewhat darker than pictured.THERMAL: they do have good thermal blocking properties - there is a noticeable difference when you feel between the curtain and window the temp is much hotter, so it's doing its job with regards to blocking heat that beats down on the room all afternoon.BOTTOM LINE: looks nice, no wrinkles out of the package, falls nicely, good weight, washable fabric w/o the 'rubbery' backing that typically causes problems when washing these type of curtains BUT the white color is nowhere near 90% light-blocking - more like heavy-duty curtains of any kind ... maybe 70% light-blocking without another assistive device, and about 80% with a commercial white plastic louver blind behind it. For better coverage, tack on an opaque light-blocking plastic sheet or have a tailor sew on a dense, dark fabric layer to the backing.
Some good- but overall, cheesy
September 30, 2013
These curtains have so much potential but the construction ruins the entire effect. They can either be hung through pockets on the back that create a pleated effect or through a rod pocket that creates a ruffle effect. Nice idea. The bad news: They do not hang evenly at all. The bottoms of the curtains curl and the hems do not match. I haven't washed them, but I did follow directions, putting them in the dryer with a damp cloth. The results are very wrinkled curtains and the stitching tension is awful. Whoever assembled these used a sewing machine with bad tension because the stitches cause the sides to curl up. Also, there are spots where the blackout fabric shows- I have the beige curtains and some sort of black fabric is sticking out the seams. I suppose it is the blackout material. I may try to alter them, but the fabric is the type where previous stitching will show if I rip out the existing stitching. I wish I could return them but due to remodeling set backs, I had ordered these for use weeks ago in anticipation of the contractors being done in a reasonable time...another story, but not the fault of the curtains.
Dark colors work, but not real black out/light block curtains
October 10, 2012
The finish is velvetyThe look nice and accurate to the photo (as least the ten I purchased were)The core material is actually a foam so you get pin prick light bleed on occasion depending on how direct/intense the outside light is.Nice and cheap and you get a little more than you pay for. The dark colors work very well overall despite not being a "real" light block material. I would not touch the light colors because they just wouldn't block out the light and complaints on here have indicated that hunch is true.It seems like they might block out the cold alright. They don't do anything noticeable to block out heat (at least the darker colors don't). I'm not sure where the solid thermal insulated portion of the name is coming from. There are no materials within the fabric specific to that function so you shouldn't expect it or you'll be disappointed.Overall worth it, but a little misleading with the naming of the product.

Difficult to give an accurate review.
June 23, 2017
The beige color curtains arrived defective. There is discoloration on the material, perhaps liquid was spilled. Also, the sewing process has left several large thick black threads in the tie backs which are on both sides.Oh the positive side, even though they are not lined with typical blackout lining, when I held them up to a window with full sun, they appeared to block all the direct light shining through the fabric. If I cannot find any locally, I will order again and hopefully they will not be defective.
No instructions
March 18, 2017
The material is beautiful and flows well. I had planned to buy only the panels but then I studied the picture and liked the draping of the scarf. I was very pleased with the scarf until it was time to hang it. I searched for instructions and found none. I struggled for 40 minutes trying to emulate the picture. I was not successful. Instructions would be nice or even a few suggestions on how to approach the task.
Disappointed on the color
January 24, 2017
Color wasn't as pictured :/ they look nice but I was expecting a more darker color
Good enough - for now...
May 9, 2016
They do the job, but they're definitely not "great" and maybe I should not expect great at this price point. The color is fine, as expected, but the curtains have areas that are completely not light blocking (as if threads were missing from some areas) - this is only noticeable when the sun is shining through the curtains, but that's when you need them to work. I will definitely be replacing these with something else when I get around to it.
Not too happy!!!!!!
November 30, 2015
I really like the curtains. They do a good job of blocking out light and the cold. I have them up on my back porch that is closed in and I use it for watching TV and reading. I got them a while ago and just put them up. Well, low and behold, there are no tie backs in any of the three packages. They state in the ad and in the order history that there are tie backs. On the packaging there isn't any place stating tie backs. That really ticked me off. If not for that fact, I would have given them five stars. Not really happy right now.
Blackout? Not so much.
September 3, 2015
I purchased two sets for bedroom windows which are blasted with the morning sun during late spring and all summer. The heat has been mitagated somewhat as well as the brightness of the sun, but blackout is pure exaggeration. Perhaps once the sun as passed the autumn equinox, and moved further south of these windows , we will appreciate darker rooms. For now, not so much.

Think again, if its for decreasing the Temperature in the room.
September 12, 2016
Considering they are advertised as thermal, extremely disappointed in the poor performance. I live in the sunny southwest - extreme sun / heat. They did not decrease the temperature as promised. If you wanted them for room darkening they are decent. I would not recommend them.
They are constructed nicely and the fabric is quality
April 16, 2016
These curtains are more of a rose pink than the hot pink that the picture would lead you to believe. Additionally, they are NOT blackout or thermal. They are constructed nicely and the fabric is quality, which is why I didn't just give 1 star, but there is no thermal fabric and they still let in quite a bit of light. Sadly sending these back to Amazon!
NOT blackout curtains
April 6, 2016
These curtains don't block 100% light, at night there is still light coming in and in the morning plenty of light shines through. They block a lot of light but as you can see from the photo light still comes through.Other than this, they are nice material and a good color.
The did not pleat nicely like the picture shows
April 23, 2015
I have purchased this brand of curtain before in the grommet style. This time, I chose the tab top since I had planned to use tension rods and wanted the full coverage at the top of the window to block the most light. They looked awful! They did not pleat nicely like the picture shows, they were a mess. And, when closed, the two panels cannot lay nicely together and the seams show and just look disheveled. I am going to get the grommet ones instead and just install a regular curtain rod. Also, if you have never ordered blackout curtains before, the light colors (mine are the beige) will not block 100%. They still offer noticeable darkening, but it is not as dramatic as the dark colors. For instance, I have blinds, and the light that shines through the holes on the side is clearly visible through the curtains.
Inconsistent sizes. Had to return for a refund
July 21, 2014
We ordered a set of the beige color curtains about a year ago because when the sun sets it's in the direct path of our living room window. It's been working great and have no complaints about it. We ordered the 3 black curtains for our rooms and the first set I opened was really small. I saw the packaging when I opened up the Amazon box and told my wife it doesn't look like the packaging we had before. I should have opened the packaging right then and there. Instead I went to Walmart and bought a curtain rod and when we put them on the hooks and set it up it was extremely short compared to the beige curtain we originally bought a year ago. About 6 inches or so, which, with our windows doesn't work out. I didn't open the other packages. I requested a refund and Amazon obliged. I will always shop Amazon and love their customer support. Too bad these curtains don't work for us. It gets 2 stars for it being a good product initially with our beige curtain, but I took away 3 stars for wasting my time and the black curtain being too short.

I bought these curtains for light control in a room I use as my home theatre. So I am very sensitive to the amount of light that gets through. While I'm certainly happy with the look and feel of these curtains, they certainly (in my location, with afternooon sunlight shining directly on them) are NOT "blackout" curtains. I can't estimate the percentage of light, but you can see the sunlight shining on them, and they are nowhere near dark enough for my purposes. Back to the drawing board for me ... this was unfortunately a waste of my money.

Fabric has an ugly shine.

The appearance of the curtains was very tacky. Shines. We returned them.

I got 2 sets of them b/c I have 2 windows together...They are not perfectly even with each other. 2 of the panels are definitely longer than the other 2. Weird. Whoever cuts the panels for the sewers needs to measure them better. I got beige which is not the best color either. Looks more blah in person than in the picture.
Not As Advertised

This description makes the curtains out to be truly energy efficient and blackout. They are actually just thick polyester in a single layer. While the curtains are of good quality, they are not blackout curtains or insulated for energy efficiency.
Threads everywhere and didn't block out much light nor heat
August 21, 2015
I sadly returned these curtains because there were loose threads everywhere! I couldn't believe it was already falling apart, since I had just opened the package and barely touched them. They did work in blocking out sunlight and corresponding heat to a degree, but not nearly as well as the curtains that I currently have that I got from JC Penny's for less than $20 (hence not 1 star, since it did do what it said it would do).
Not true blackout curtains
July 29, 2015
Not exactly blackout curtains... I was envisioning what was used in my college dorm room. It didn't help keep the sun out any better than my blinds. I bought them to try and help my 3 year old son sleep later and it didn't work. If you're looking for additional darkness, but not blackout quality these are just fine for the price. I returned them only because I needed true blackout curtains. The fabric was nice and would be compliment to any room. They come with additional microfiber "strips" with nylon loops at the end so you can draw the curtains back during the day.

Darkened but not 'blackout'
April 26, 2017
I ended up returning these because the light still came through which defeated the entire purpose. I work third shift and was looking for something to make the room completely light free to help me sleep. The curtains were soft and the color pretty but that's a lot to pay when they don't block light like you expect.
This order has become a waste of time
April 3, 2017
These do not block allnlight is used alone! If you have other shades and these are the second level then they work but if these are your only protection against the light then you will be dissapointed. Im returning and asking fornandefund because these are advertised as "black out", not "black out if you already have a shade". Im extremely dissappinted as i live in Germany and in the summer months the sun doesnt set until late night. This order has become a waste of time. This seller should not call these blackout curtains.
I can see through these!
December 26, 2016
Not even close to blackout curtains. I have the black ones and can easily see through them enough to distinguish the trees in front of my house against the snow on the yard and the sky. I had bought a shorter set for another house in 2013, and those are solid, cannot see through blackout curtains. So I bought the same brand, just needed them longer, and wound up with these. No idea what happened, why these "blackout curtains" are so much worse than the ones I already have.
Total disappointment
January 7, 2015
I was so disappointed in these! I bought them for the noise reduction and they did nothing- they also didn't block the light. The material is thin and flimsy and polyester feeling, like cheap Halloween costume. I sent them back.

Very see through, cheap material and NOT what I was expecting based on product description and reviews. They even make the pictures look like there's a white panel on the backside to add insulation--- it's nonexistant. It's a very very cheaply made product. Not worth the money. You could find something better for cheaper at Walmart!
limp, badly sewn
February 16, 2013
I got the beige... not only can you see clearly through them when there is light outside, but they were not sewn together correctly and I had to re-sew on two of the loops, there were broken trailing threads - so NOT a quality product. Ok in a child's bedroom, I guess, but very disappointing for any living room or public area. The headers are limp, without reinforcements there, so it all just kind of droooops at the top. Mine are not lined, as I had expected them to be. Expensive and disappointing, considering returning all three sets I purchased, they just look terrible on the windows.

These curtains are very boring and snag very easy. They do block the light pretty well but I would not recommend them unless you don't care what they look like.

Not too impressed with this product. In less than a month the pillow shams are already falling apart and the stitching has come undone.

Beautiful color. I ordered the beige and the color is perfect for the room. However, they were sewn very carelessly and were unstitched, then re-sewn, which left very noticeable holes in the fabric. The new stitching was still very uneven and looks sloppy. I'm surprised that the curtains were sent to me instead of thrown out. Very disappointed with the quality of work.
Beige does not block light compared to the other colors.
February 24, 2016
I have the Navy and the olive color curtains and they are both great. 99.9% of the light does not get in. However, the beige is horrible at stopping light. This color should not be marketed as backout, room darkening. Sending it back as I type this review. Going to order the olive instead.
